You can purchase a Footpath Elite monthly or yearly subscription through your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renew can be turned off anytime by going to the Manage Subscriptions page in settings after purchase, and your features will remain active until the end of the subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period at the same cost as your original purchase.
TIPS FOR MAPPING ROUTES
• For longer routes, try zooming in and mapping your route in multiple segments.
• Tap and hold the map to quickly route between waypoints and POIs.
• Did Footpath snap to the wrong roads? Trace over the incorrect segment to edit, or use the eraser tool.
• Turn off snap to roads (magnet icon) and zoom in to manually trace the map. (Try switching to a satellite layer).
• Displaying maps and continuously running GPS in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Navigate without maps or with the screen off for all day battery life.

✗ Rubbish!Supposed to sync all devices when using Apple Watch (Ultra) but seldom does. When I look at the tutorial, it tells me to open the “tracks” menu - then “maps” - where is that exactly? There aren’t any menu options apart from “Maps & Routing” under which are Clear Route, Routing Mode, Map Style & Units; & “My Routes”, under which appears New Route or Edit. There’s the little “settings” button, but no “Tracks” appear on that either. This morning I was out for a hike using Footpath on my Apple Watch, when I finished it told me to open Footpath on my iPhone to sync data, which I did, & there is no record of my hike anywhere! Waste of money..Version: 4.9.13
✗ Great app with one big problemThe app works well for planning and mapping out simple routes. However, it has a major flaw when attempting to follow the routes - the route is blue as are the round intermediate stage markers. And of course, the user’s location is a blue dot as well. Which meant that in sunny weather in France, I had to stop cycling, take off my sunglasses and put on my reading glasses to peer at the map to try and locate myself on it. So, here’s a radical thought - you had better sit down for this one - why not make the location marker a different colour! And whilst we are breaking the mound, why not add grid lines to the map, hereby making it possible for users to estimate distances to the next turning!? I know, I know - crazy stuff, making an app that actually works well and easily for normal humans. But just once, it would be nice if the developers did ....Version: 2.3.2
