Slopes: Ski & Snowboard for Positive User Reviews

Great and getting betterIf you ride with family or friends this app is a must. So much fun comparing your stats in VS mode, seeing where everybody is on the interactive maps. Replaying your day on the 3D terrain. The app ui is easy to use, the stats are well laid out. In the three years I have been using it there have been constant and useful upgrades. It's a winner..Version: 2023.1

Great app, one problem I noticedSo I love this app and use it all the time, but there is one problem that I have ran into multiple times.. its whenever I get near a mountain I ski at, in one certain spot the app starts spamming me with notifications, the ones that are like “you are near a ski mountain, start recording?” it just keeps going and it gives me like 5 notifications per second and it is super inconvenient. I dont know much about what you can do but if its possible, maybe set something like a cooldown timer on the notification, like after you get one of them you cant get another for maybe another five minutes or so? Besides this annoying inconvenience, I love the app and will continue to use it..Version: 2023.12

Data recoveryEmma helped me recover unsaved data after my phone had shutdown. Fast reply’s, polite, and easy to understand guides. Very happy with how the app has worked with me and the snow season. 10/10 would recommend 🔥🔥.Version: 2024.4

Great appI’ve tried a couple different ski/snowboard tracking apps and I like Slopes the best. Nice interface and see how you track compared to friends is fun. This is all on the free version. Makes me want to see what extra the paid season pass holds..Version: 2024.1

Best thing that happen to skiBest thing that happen to ski since snowboard..Version: 2021.2

Great without friendsWhile the title might make you think I'm lonely, I can assure that's not the case. The app is great on its own, nice layout, easy and overall a great and engaging experience. The issue comes in when you want to connect friends on it. Me and a friend who have both used the app for a few years on our own became friends however, on the friends page it says that he has no stats whatsoever. This is weird as he has used it for years and it still has all the tracks logged, it's like they just didn't transfer to the friends section. We don't know why his do not appear. They don't appear on my app or his, but my stats do on both. It's not a huge deal and we usually discuss our stats in person, however, it would be nice to see eachothers and frankly it shouldn't have this issue in the first place. Though I have looked through the settings and haven't found anything that would prevent the transfer of his stats though I may be missing something. I hope there is an easy fix and will keep you all updated!.Version: 2021.5

Great app and excellent customer serviceI have been using slopes for a few years now and it has got better and better - the team never stops adding new and useful features. The ability to see where my family members are is super helpful. The customer service is also excellent - following a subscription issue - they resolved it quickly and I am now back up and running..Version: 2023.5

Amazing! This app is amazing and can help keep you updated with friends! It's also good for some family competition!.Version: 2024.2

Literally the best tracker I’ve ever usedWhen I tell you this app has no flaws, I mean it. It’s amazing what it tracks even with just the free version. Easy to use UI, simple stats and low battery usage. It’s amazing. Must download.Version: 2024.3

Awesome, but short of potentialThis app fills in a gap that other activity-tracker apps like Strava completely miss. I will continue to use this app as long as Strava does not release a competitive feature. This is because Strava lets me record data from my heart rate monitor, and Slopes does not (*ahem, please imlement this*). In addition, I am continually frustrated by the beautiful map of the world's ski resorts on the app's home screen, as it does not let me open up the map to have a scroll around! That would be an awesome, and easy to implement feature making it easier to branch out and find new resorts to ride. Also, having to pay money to download resort maps? Seriously? I can just save the photos to my camera roll. That's it, Awesome app, but I feel it needs a *pinch* more love..Version: 2022.5

Best app everI can’t wrap my head around how good this app is. It fits everyone’s needs, whether you’re a beginner or advanced. The app has never-ending features and stats to look at after every recording. Curtis, hats off to you! You did such a great job! The snowboarding and skiing community thanks you..Version: 2024.1

SlopesAwesome app! Have used it for 6 years. Great data, syncs well with Apple Health app. Occasional glitches, but the team are always quick to respond and correct..Version: 2023.1

Really fab app!I’ve tried other ski apps but I really do love Slopes! I only use the free version but it tells me enough about my day for me, and it’s fabulous that it knows when you’re skiing, when you’re on a lift and when you’re sat having a cuppa, so no having to pause it and remember to set it off (with thick gloves and layers on). If the full app were £5/£10 I’d upgrade but with only skiing for a week every couple of years it’s a bit too much for me, but might try it next time I go skiing..Version: 2023.1

Great appAmazing for tracking.Version: 2024.1

Top class skiing app!Great app, by far the best skiing app I’ve ever used. Doesn’t drain my iPhone’s battery and it gives some great stats. I absolutely love it and got my teenage daughter to download it too. The iWatch battery goes in about six hours, and then I continue recording on the iPhone. Still, such an easy to use and simple way to record our skiing. Simply awesome app, thank you Slopes!.Version: 2024.4

Can’t do without SlopesUsed Slopes during an 5 day ski trip. It was awesome and the level of detail from speed, terrain coverage, rest duration, whether I was skiing or taking it easy, is excellent. Keen to try the premium version!!.Version: 2021.10

Nice ski trackerI really like this app. It will track your runs, record your speed, elevation, vertical feet skied, etc. It’s fun to see all your tracks at the end of the day. The reasons I gave it 4 stars are because: 1) when I started my slopes session on my Apple Watch, I wasn’t able to see any of my recorded tracks on my phone until I ended the session at the end of the day. With ski gloves and layers of clothing covering my watch it’s not easy to get to it. Anyway it’s a minor issue. I will have to remember to start my session with my phone. 2) the friends feature doesn’t really seem to work. I’ve added a few of my friends I ski with also have slopes and while I can see them in my logbook, I can’t see them in the friends section. I only see myself listed with no one else. Also, when I first reviewed my day sking I could see my friends tracks as well as mine, however, that has since disappeared. 3) it’s more expensive compared to other ski trackers. It might be that other ski trackers are ad supported in which case I can understand the price difference. Lastly, for a future enhancement can you include a trails % grade I’m skiing on? Maybe the average grade and max grade? Thanks for making this app. Looking forward to future enhancements..Version: 2020.11

Great app! Add Grouse Mountain plz!Could you please mark Grouse Mountain in Vancouver plz. It would be great to see runs names..Version: 2024.1

Best app!!!My whole family uses this app and we all can compare stats at the end but the premium is expensive.Version: 2024.4

Great app. Love itLove this app. Strava for snow sports seems reasonable, although this takes it another step with replaying your runs and the detail you can see. Brilliant. The only thing I think it missing is an automated reminder to start recording, like when you arrive at a ski slope it asks if you want to record. Also an auto pause and sure resume would be good. I missed at least 20 runs for forgetting to start and resume..Version: 2020.9

This app is amazing and has minimal bugs/flawsI love this app, I find it’s tracking accurate and it’s stats overview is great. It has everything a skier/snowboarder could want. You can just hit go and it’s ready to track at whatever resort you are at and it knows where you are. The Apple Watch companion app is also great and works well. My only complaint is that it kills the battery fast but this is because it uses the gps all day. But slopes solve this problem by having a low power mode option that disables the GPS on lifts or you could buy a third-party battery bank to charge your watch at lunch. Battery should not be a problem with the Apple Watch Ultra though I have the se so battery life is more of a problem for me..Version: 2022.21

Smart appFantastic app, one of those rare apps that actually makes sense with the watch integration. Used the watch to control the day, then the phone to review later. Tracked my day at coronet peak amazingly well, showed me where I was slow, where I was fast and a raft of stats. The 3D view is swish. Price is kinda steep, but it's less than a single piece of sushi in Queenstown....Version: 2.6

Elegantly executed, feature packedIf Apple made a ski app... This is by faar the best ski tracking app just bursting at the seams with well executed, cool features. The way your lifts and runs are shown on a scrub bar with haptic feedback is beyond elegant and one touch operation while on the mountain couldn't be easier. Great functionality like showing the photos you took during the day and connecting with friends are available even without premium. Premium pass brings the most cutting edge features like AR which are very impressive, if a little awkward to use. Premium can be bought for just a week at a time too which is great for that one annual ski trip. Look no further 🎿💙.Version: 2022.8

Great app, even better when paired with Apple WatchI’m pretty new to skiing but downloaded this on a holiday in Italy with my family. It was great for keeping track of where everyone was and for having a bit of competition (which I lost). So many other great features including maps and integration with Strava. Highly recommended..Version: 2023.6

Amazing Free AppWe use this app every year when skiing! My husband and children have it also. We have title competitions to see who has the best run or speed.. (children always win!! lol) But it’s great we can all share this experience through the app. It has recorded every run with stats for every year, so it’s great to look back on previous years and see how we are progressing. Thank you Slopes. Xx.Version: 2023.18

Great for skiing with friendsWhen skiing with friends and family it can show the location of friends, as well as their stats compared to you..Version: 2024.2

I love this app! This is my third season using Slopes and I love all the information you can get on a free app. Not only does it break up your day to actual run time and lift time but it gives you average speed and allow you to pause for breaks. It is very easy to use and the support team is great! My only issue with the app is that the calories burned count is confusing to me since it is really high when I compare it to another calorie tracker that estimates calories for down hill skiing. On that app my 1 hr and six minutes of actual downhill ski time in 3 hours of being on the hill was 306 cal while slopes said I used over 518 calories. That is a big difference! Last year I spoke with Kelly on the support team to try to understand it and She said they would work on it but it hasn’t changed. Except for that one thing which may not matter to many, it does exactly what I need it to do..Version: 2020.20

Really good, however...I have used this app for many years now and it’s been consistently great, recording all my slopes, speeds and times. It’s been great to be able to comment on how the day went and look back in comparison to these more recent years. However, recently it has been a bit faulty. I’ve updated and it’s all been fine. But when on the slopes, it has a tendency to stop recording my progress, leaving huge gaps in my day and leaving me with an inaccurate representation of my day. Overall, it’s a really good app but I am quite disappointed with the errors..Version: 2019.3

Brilliant ski tracking appI have tried several ski tracking apps on iOS, but this is the best one by a country mile!! It has the best watch integration and really nice logbook features where you can see your previous skiing days, as well as previous seasons! I can highly recommend the season pass as well - well worth the purchase! Please keep up the great work!.Version: 2023.18

SlopesIt’s great! It is amazing for safety, because you can track family and friends and call patrol. I enjoyed comparing runs with others..Version: 2024.1

AMAZING TRACKING APPA highly effective ski tracking app that has all the features you would ever want. It’s efficient, effective and works very well with others. Would highly recommend as your primary (and only) ski tracking app that you need.Version: 2023.1

The appI love this app because it helps me track my skiing!.Version: 2024.4

Definitely give it a try.Amazing app, use it whenever you go whether it’s a mainstream resort or a small one close by, even if you just go out for one weekend a year. It’s easy to connect to friends and fun to track all of your stats from top speed to peak altitude. Highly recommend..Version: 2024.4

SensationalQuality product developed with great thought put into every new feature. The only situation I can imagine where I would use a different app is if I hit a tree and suffered a traumatic brain injury of such magnitude that I could no longer make logical, reasonable decisions..Version: 2019.13

This app is god!Just took this for a full day of sending with some friends and I really like this app. The speed tracker is wicked and I was super hyped when i broke 50mph. The mapping is also amazing, you can see each of the runs you did and the lifts you used. I was also amazing at just how far and high we skied. You would think that the gps recording and speed tracking takes a toll on your battery. It turns out it didn’t really at all! The app uses the gps and speed stats from the Apple health trackers and it’s relatively energy efficient. I started at 89% and on low power mode, with a bit of snap chatting and phone calling my phone dropped to only 56%. All in all I highly recommend this app. It’s made by one rad guy who wants to improve our days, which he definitely has. Also, everything I talked about is completely freeeee! So download this app and enjoy your adventure on the mountain..Version: 2018.2

Single Source of truth for everything SkiingI use this to track my speed, track how much time i spend on lifts, as well as take a look at snow conditions which are crowdsourced from users’ own experience at the slopes. I also use it to compare overall resort features and it’s much easier to get the facts and info than going to each resorts’ websites. Love this app and it’s really reasonably priced too!.Version: 2023.18

Best tracker, with excellent support.I have used Slopes for several years now and it continues to keep all its strengths. Easy to use, especially on the Apple Watch, low battery drain, nicely presented results. However I mainly wanted to talk about the level of support. A few years ago I had some issue with the database and sent an email at about 10pm Eastern. I then emailed real time with Curtis the developer who fixed the issue that night before heading out skiing the next day. He probably can’t guarantee that level of response for everyone, but the other day I had a minor issue that turned out to be mainly my fault. The support staff (now more than just Curtis) responded quickly and accurately. Try that with some huge company..Version: 2022.8

Latest version is amazingI just used the latest version of this app (on iOS11) for the last days of the Australian Ski season. Honestly; it’s awesome. Start the app via the watch, auto detect resort and away you go. I start the app in the morning for first runs, I control my music via the watch, I pause for lunch then resume for the remainder of the day. On iPhone 8 I had around 65% battery remaining by end of day (approx 5-6 hours riding). Love it! Thanks a million!.Version: 2.6

OutstandingGreat way to track your runs providing a good amount of data and stats. Love comparing to those you hit the slopes with..Version: 2023.8

Simple to UseI have used the MC Pass in two different ski areas and it has been seamlessly accepted without going to the ticket window or asking anyone at either resort! It is as if you have a season pass to all of these ski areas!! Looking forward to using it at two more ski areas this upcoming week!! Thank You for such a Great App!!! All the while tacking my ski activity using this Great Slopes App! My friend at Sun Valley turned me on to it and it is fantastic. Great to find friends on the mountain and know your activity for the day and so simple to use! Turn it on once and you’re done! It even has an auto feature to turn on, I have learned!! Well done! Only improvement I can suggest would be to allow manual entry of a missed day for # of runs and even an estimate for the vertical feet skied that day. Thanks and keep up the great work!!.Version: 2024.3

Excellent, highly recommendedI love this app. It is highly polished and does a great job of easily tracking my stats while skiing. Just start the app in the morning and stop it at the end of the day, that’s all you need to do to get your stats. Buy the pass to see a great 3D animation of your days skiing on a map of the mountain. The Apple Watch app is a great match to the phone app and makes quickly viewing your live stats even easier. Finally, the app is regularly updated and the developer replies to emails for help or questions very quickly. I highly recommend both the app and the optional “Pass” in app purchase. Great value for money. Keep up the great work on this app..Version: 2023.16

It’s simple!Giving this 4 stars only because I don’t have premium and I can’t rate the other features. I’ve only used this for one day on the mountain and it was awesome! The app is super simple to understand, super easy to use and I don’t have to worry about pausing the app for lifts and remembering to resume. If anyone is considering this app I highly recommend it, it’s pretty cool to not check it until the end of the day to see your stats. Bragging to your friends about your top speed or comparing how fast you can do a run is all super fun. The map that shows your runs is super cool because you can see side trials you took and save it for later. Honestly there’s just so much to love about the app and I can’t wait to use it the rest of the season!.Version: 2019.23

The best sports app I’ve ever usedWell designed, intuitive, easy to compare with friends and accurate world-wide data. Love it!.Version: 2023.9

Does exact what you want it to doEasy to use when skiing, good analysis, super easy to integrate with Strava. Recommend..Version: 2023.1

SlopesAmazing.Version: 2024.4

SuggestionThis app is incredible in every singe way apart from one. There is no public leaderboard like in SnowZat so I have to use both apps.Version: 2022.21

Brilliant stats and developer supportThis is such a great app for skiers. I reviewed it last year, but just had to do another as I was experiencing difficulty using it this year with my iPhone X as the gps was so much weaker. I contacted Curtis and within 30mins he came back with a solution. Amazing customer service. Next year I’m defo going to upgrade to the paid version for a week as I love detailed stats on performance. Download now, you won’t be disappointed....Version: 2018.2

AwesomeCouldn’t be happier with this app.Version: 2020.14

Great appI have used the Slopes App since 2016. I’ve used it every year in Scotland, France and Norway. It was good at the start, but has got better every year. It’s perfect for tracking every element of your day’s skiing. It works every time and I would highly recommend. The only improvement would be an even better transfer of data to Strava, but I’m guessing this is an issue with Strava, not Slopes.Version: 2023.18

Pure awesomeness :)This app is great! Set it to record (on phone or Apple Watch) and then just go wherever, it’ll track your routes very precisely! Curtis is also very accepting of feedback and suggestions as well as giving very prompt responses to troubleshooting. Couldn’t recommend any other app more than Slopes!.Version: 2.6

Fantastic !This app it's brilliant, it's perfect for families who love to ski together and brings competition with accompanying fun and laughter. My friends and family all use this every year and you can compare speeds and distances travelled by a leaderboard. The only disadvantage is that the PRO version is very expensive and a shame for families who use this app but cannot afford the whole package - hoping this changes but all together it's great!.Version: 2024.4

Great app. Go for the premium. It’s worth it!The free app is fun and a great beginning I have more fun with the premium version which is reasonably priced..Version: 2023.18

Fantastic ToolGot to say this is a fantastic app. I am using it in Europe. I love the fact it recognises lifts (unlike other apps), data so far is very accurate - speed, distance etc. The interactive map that shows your runs for the day is brilliant. There isn’t anything negative to say - I purchased the yearly subscription as had 4 weeks booked for the season and boy it is worthwhile! 550k skied so far and still a week to go! Thanks Slopes - great app..Version: 2023.6

Great AppWish I downloaded this app sooner. I always use Slopes because I thoroughly enjoy beating my last season stats. I also use it as my snow season diary. It’s awesome that the photos I took during my send is automatically attached to my day. I’ve been digging the new features like being able to download maps for offline use and peer recorded weather updates. My only request would be that you can view a trail map of the resort as one of the map layer options when you view your run details. Right now you can only view in winter or satellite layer. I’ve also noticed that some resort maps are only a portion of the resort and not the entire resort. Overall, I think it’s an awesome app and am grateful for all the new updates every season. My partner and I have been premium subscribers for 3 seasons now and we both think it’s totally worth it. Thanks Slopes app!!.Version: 2021.6

The only app you need on the slopesSeriously, the amount of work that has gone into this app since day is incredible. I don’t get to ride as much anymore but this app still has never left my phone..Version: 2023.8

Great app, some bugsBeen using for a few years now & it’s great, it’s become my logbook over the years and I love the ski/backcountry options that have been added. However, a really annoying bug that I’ve noticed this season. Notifications, I can’t seem to turn them off in the app, I can’t change the switch to turn them off. Which is a problem when you’re in a hotel that’s right next to a lift because they come through every 5 minutes telling me I’m near a lift, would I like to record a run. All night.. tried to turn them off in iOS too, but that hasn’t worked either. I’m wondering if it’s because I have an active pass perhaps?.Version: 2024.2

Fantastic app, with unrivalled supportI’ve been using Slopes for around 8 years now, having migrated away from Ski Tracks. The Slopes app and service has been faultless and features continue to be added each season. A minor issue this week meant that I needed to contact support, thankfully the issue was resolved within a day with no disruption. A brilliant team and excellent customer service. Thank you!!.Version: 2024.4

Fantastic - but a few quibbles to get 5 stars from meFirst off, I love this app. It is the best skiing app, having tried the others. It is also great for Apple Watch users, and the watch app is one of the best I have ever used. The terrain maps are really cool as is the AR, but it is disappointing that the stats don’t show the grading of pistes/trails skied - I’d love to see a breakdown of the black/red/blue/green (or double diamond/diamond/blue if you must) runs I have done. They could also learn a couple of things from strava - like auto pause to preserve battery when you stop for a drink. The season stats summary doesn’t make much sense either - if you have skied 10k vertical and 50k distance top down, you haven’t done 60k in total - Pythagoras anyone? Speaking of Strava another gripe is that the exported data to strava is wrong, and does not match up with slopes itself for average speed etc - it includes lifts and provides no top speed. So a few things to fix but this is an excellent little app..Version: 2020.5

Great!Really liking this, seamless strava integration, and it’s free for basic! No real issues, detects correct location well..Version: 2020.3

Awesome appUsed recently on a trip with a group, excellent for tracking where people are. Highly recommended. Would be really useful if the developers could think about the following addition: When using on iPhone and tracking friends, its hard to work out who is who just by seeing their icon. Maybe have their name floating over their icon picture or their icon picture enlarges when it is clicked on ?.Version: 2023.6

Great appReally well made. Works well without the subscription, but the improvements you get with premium are well worth it..Version: 2021.10

Brilliant, especially with Apple WatchThis is a brilliant app for skiing. Works great without an Apple Watch and even better with one. Buy passes to access the detailed info at the end of a day — the AR 3D mountain of your day is fantastic! (And first time I’ve liked an AR app...) What I’d like to see more of — Would love to see the developer grab weather conditions and add those to the recording. Also comparison between days? (Rather than between seasons.) And auto-detect a fall and mark it on the map (for those rare occasions 😊).Version: 2019.5

Awesome app for snowboardingKeeps track of all your stats.Version: 2024.4

Good App for trails logingAfter I tried several Apps for alpine skiing logging, some proved not trustable due to obviously wrong speed logging, others were lacking investment in UI or their functions were skinny. So, I’m using Slopes for the 2nd season. Yes, It’s not free of charge, but developer is keeping the app on good function level and I enjoy Apple Watch app and integration to iPhone. If you want to track your progress on your a specific track - you can do this. If you need to track your biometrics - I prefer Garmin for that, but Slopes as well show you little bit of heart rate logged..Version: 2019.23

Such an awesome appSlopes is so fun to use on the mountain, track runs, see your distance covered and stay connected with friends who are also snowboarding. I found the customer support staff super helpful too - quick and responsive when I needed them. Awesome app!.Version: 2022.10

Used on every ski day!My favorite ski app, I use it every time I get on the slopes. Well worth the premium subscription!.Version: 2024.1

Feature richA really nice, feature rich app to track slope activity. Good integrations with Apple Health, Strava etc..Version: 2023.9

Love slopesI can’t always ski with friends, but having slopes makes the entire season more fun and connected for my group of ski buds..Version: 2024.2

Great App!!App work great. Would love to see a feature to be able to search for overseas ski parks to plan runs before I go on holidays. Currently in Australia and heading to Japan for snow season, so, when I search for a Japanese ski park a pop-up notes “Far, Far away”. Would be great to at least see the park runs..Version: 2018.1

Great snowboard appBenefit is that you can use it with one off payments without having to have a subscription.Version: 2022.10

It’s no good if you can’t see it.The tech seems fine and the data and statistics are what I would like to see BUT I can’t see it! Slopes only works with iWatch and iWatch has to be worn against your skin. So to see your max speed at the bottom of a run, you have to pull your glove half off and slide your sleeve up to be able to see your data. I’ve been wearing wrist mounted GPS since 2004 and they’ve all been worn on the outside of my jacket so I can see the data at a glance and without freezing my fingers off. The only way this system will ever be any good will be if you can hear the data since you can’t see it. An ever increasing number of people have Bluetooth speakers in their helmets so the system could be programmed to say ‘30’ when you got to 30 kmh and then ‘40’ and so on. Or maybe you could set the system to announce your speed every 20 seconds. Then when it senses you stopped at the bottom, it could announce Max Speed, Average Speed and Distance travelled or whatever other stats you set it to say. Anyway, right now, it’s close to useless if I can’t see the data without having to wrestle with my clothing in the lift line..Version: 2021.13

Simply The BestAs one who lives in a ski resort, skiing is a part nearly everyday life. I’ve tried many ski tracking apps and none compare to Slopes. This app is by far the most comprehensive, accurate, and intuitive apps you’ll find for tracking your skiing or snowboarding. It provides a wealth of detail on your ski day and the integration with Photos and Apple Health makes it the single app you need. Beyond this, I have never had better support with a developer of an app in the App Store. Recently I had an issue with my Family plan. The support team (Emma in particular) worked tirelessly to get it fixed and made sure my account and those of my family remained active as they sorted out the issue. Bottom line: This is the best app for skiers and snowboarders and it backed by an awesome support team. Tap the GET button. You’ll be happy you did 👍🏻.Version: 2022.1

Great App!I love this app and use it every time I go skiing. My only ask of the developer would be for an improved or fairer pricing strategy for less frequent skiers/boarders. For example, I go skiing one a year for 7, 10 or 14 days. With the current pricing strategy, I have to pay for 2 x 7 day blocks, which is near the price of an annual subscription and that seems at odds when I can’t justify buying an annual pass just for a single yearly trip. I ask for consideration for us who are not fortunate enough to play in the snow all year round. Maybe a 7 day, one month and annual pass option … possibly!?.Version: 2023.13

Great AppLove this app. Fantastic for skiing with family & friends to compare runs etc. love the feature of being able to review on the ski map for the resort what you have done. Doesn’t use much battery. You can leave it running all day. Wouldn’t ski without it. Highly recommended.Version: 2020.7

We got a winner…I recently started using Slopes and I have to say, I'm impressed! As a ski and snowboarding enthusiast, this app is exactly what I was looking for. It provides detailed metrics about my time on the slopes, which helps me track my progress and set new goals for myself. The user experience is top-notch, with a sleek and intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate and use. I especially love the real-time tracking feature, which allows me to see my speed, distance, and other important stats while I'm skiing. This helps me to stay motivated and push myself to ski better. The app also has a great social aspect, as I can share my stats with friends and see how I stack up against other skiers. Overall, I highly recommend Slopes to anyone who loves skiing and snowboarding. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced skier, this app is a great way to keep track of your progress and have fun on the slopes. So, if you're looking for a way to enhance your ski or snowboarding experience, give Slopes a try! You won't be disappointed!.Version: 2023.5

Fun ski data, still using after 3 yearsDiscovered this app in 2016 and used every ski season since. It’s fun to see your daily stats on your ski performance and my partner/family and I often like to compare our stats at the end of the day. It’s a reliable app and worth purchasing the additional pass for extra insights although the free version is pretty plentiful too. Product request: Would like to see some stats (distance + max speed) on the History overview too (sometimes you’re like ‘remember that day when...’ and then have to check each day individually). Great app overall and would recommend!.Version: 2019.7

Best Ski tracking app aroundI have used many apps and gadgets to track my ski trips. This is turning out to be one of the best around. I like the functionality of using my Apple Watch and the updates by the developer make this a really great tracker. I have paid for the season pass as a result of the extra info and it’s really nicely put together with information about your run or the day. In short a really nice app..Version: 2020.12

Brilliant app for everyoneI’ve had this app for three skiing holidays and I can’t rate it any higher. It tracks everything you do on the slopes, from speed, distance, elevation and so much more. Nice little touch to be able to see friends states as well as yours. Brilliant app and highly recommend..Version: 2024.2

Does what it saysGreat app that creates some great stats and just seems to work.Version: 2.6

Fantastic AppThis is the premier app for skiers & snowboarders. What really wowed me was all the stats that Slopes gathers. At the end of the day we have total feet of vertical, number of runs, lift time, ski time, top speed, average speed and Slopes accumulates all this data and displays the data in a number of different ways, all of which are practical to review your numbers. I have tried a number of ski tracking apps, none compared to Slopes, but I have been able to transfer the data from the previous apps right into Slopes. Any issues I had and the developer responded within a day and got me back on track. I hope to keep adding vertical to my stats. I’m in my 70s and I can’t believe my mileage, vertical & speed. If you’re not tracking your ski days you are missing out on a lot of helpful information. Top speed: 50.5 MPH Biggest daily vertical: 39,099 Biggest daily distance: 40.0 miles 724 runs in 75 days, skiing a total of 1,087.3 miles and 1,155,661 feet downhill, 3 resorts. Not only that, you can go back and review every run in 3D. Doesn’t get any better than Slopes..Version: 2021.7

Awesome ApThis Ap is really helpful. The stats, maps and speed info is more accurate than my Amazfit watch. I like my watch but it glitches at times showing speed that is humanly impossible. I was glad that I also had the Slops Ap activated so I can actually see if my speed has improved. I wish the vital stats like heart rate, etc would transfer from the Amazfit watch to the Slopes like it does for the Apple Watch, which I don’t have cuz I find it too expensive and the battery life inferior to the Amazfit watch. The Slopes ap is worth having and would recommend it..Version: 2024.4

Easy to Use and Great Visualizer for Skiing Data!I found this off of a work slack where people were sharing their skiing trips. You go out for a day (or more!) and record each run. Recording is automatic and the data is useful. But what I really love is the 3D views you can render of the mountain with your runs on it! The AR view is a lot of fun - I love it when apps do fun and silly things like this. There are a number of apps that aggregate your skiing data like this, but this one is just so much fun to use, and it's so pretty! Highly recommend checking it out. I think it's run by one guy (Curtis), and in my experience, small one-person apps are always excellent. :).Version: 2022.3

Gets better every time you open itSlopes is constantly improving with new features you didn’t even know you wanted. Great app for keeping track of your time on the mountain and reflecting on the best days. The snow rating (predicting) feature is super useful and I like how you can group trips! Great free app and a good deal if you go paid..Version: 2022.10

Tons of infoGreat stats.Version: 2024.4

Constantly gets betterTracked runs in Australia and Hakuba, Japan with Apple Watch 4 and iPhone 11 Pro. Both have plenty of power left even after tracking a day of runs. Before you go to the snow you can set reminders to start the app when you arrive at specific resorts. Great when you get caught up in the excitement of finally getting back on to the snow again so you don’t forget. Tracking seems to be quite accurate. Detects when you are on lifts, waiting and snowboarding/skiing. Great to see the best runs of the day. Keeps a logbook of all of your runs of the season. Have imported GPX logs from Garmin Oregon of older trips. Required some editing within the app to determine what were runs and what were lifts in the track. Worked well. I’m on to my second annual subscription. The developer is constantly updating the app which is visible in the Version History. Other tracking apps seem to get mothballed by their developers. App looks great on the iPad to nerd out on your runs later..Version: 2020.9

Awesome dev team doing great workAdds some sorely needed workout metrics to the Apple Watch. Also really love the offline resort maps and built-in forecast details.Version: 2022.14

Awesome App and User SupportBeen a long time user of this tracker. Love the replay option and the number of stats its tracking. Also love the fact that it’s not tied to any ski pass so I can track my season no matter which pass I buy. Had an issue one day where It didn’t record anything and contacted customer support who walked me through recovering it (Thanks Sara!). Only occurrence over multiple seasons so not worried. Random wish list to make this app even more awesome: fun features like unlocking achievements based on stats, number of resorts visited, etc. Also a big fan of overlaying location markers of friends over the trail map. A group chat with friends skiing together would be useful too..Version: 2023.5

Make your ride more fun!I love to check my stats after a day at the mountain and compare with my friends. Second season using it and more to come!.Version: 2021.12

Fantastic appThis app has everything you could want to track your runs. Thoughtful monetisation and great features. Highly recommended!.Version: 2019.12

Love it!!We can see where we all are on the mountain. Makes it easy to coordinate meeting up. Also it’s awesome to compare our runs, speed and other stats in order for one of us to have ultimate bragging rights!! Also it let us see that my husband crashed on a green run and not a double black run like he tried to claim. 😂😂.Version: 2024.2

Love this app!Been using Slopes for years and love it! Great to look back on your day and being able to add notes means you never forget the day. The flexibility of the passes are great too, this year only a shot week of riding so opted for day passes, previously got the season pass as did a couple of 8 day Weeks in the season. It’s great that there are additions to the app, means that the charges are going into development not just someone’s pockets. Customer service is excellent too, ask a question and super quick response! Thanks all!!.Version: 2022.8

Fantastic AppTracks the day’s activities perfectly using the watch, easy to see run by run information. It’s not even a drain on battery.Version: 2023.8

The best ski tracking app (even works for NZ)Lots of different data tracked on each run and then aggregated summary. So easy to use every morning- it knows which mountain we’ve driven to. I can now compare my friends stats in my app. I love the moving visual of what we skied. And most of all I love the pricing option’s because we don’t get a season pass and 7 days is perfect!! Thanks Slopes. I love your app..Version: 2023.9

UnbelievableThis app blows my mind. It’s freakin amazing. Even for casual shredders it’s a fun tool to have and record your runs, aside from being able to look back and find where you hit a gnarly tree line. Recommended to all!!.Version: 2023.5

Brings a new dimension to skiingMy wife, daughter and I all put this in our phones and I must say what a great app, worked perfectly and added new fun comparing our statistics and tracking each other around the ski field, then comparing our speeds on runs and overall top speed, what great fun. We did it right at the last day of the season so now can’t wait for next season to use it more. Thank you Slopes for a great app..Version: 2023.11

Works on my iPhone 6 again! At the start of the ski season, I tried to use Slopes, but iOS had offloaded it since I hadn’t used it during the off-season. I couldn’t get it to download again and after several tries, finally discovered that it now only works on iOS 13 and up. The developer claims you can keep using the old version, but if you have to reinstall, you can’t get the old one back. Now switching to a competitor that still supports iOS 12. As a developer myself, it’s generally a good idea to support at least the previous iOS version. Update: After the developer contacted me, I was able to reinstall an older version of the app. Apple did not make this easy to find. I added two more stars due to the developer’s prompt response. However, I would still like to see support for at least one iOS version back for new updates. Most apps I checked still support back to iOS 10. Update 2: The developer supports iOS 12 again! Greatly appreciated and definitely noticed performance improvements and less battery drain. Thanks again for making this change!.Version: 2020.5

Fantastic Ski app - for phone and watchThis is a really well thought out Ski app, use it with friends and you see where you all are on the run and at stops can see the stats for the last run and all the runs for the day (premium feature) but for the price well worth it. Great overview of the data at the end of the day. Integrates your photos and generally produces a enjoyable way to view the data and compare it with others in your party. I particularly like the playback which shows icons of each memeber of the party and the routes they take down the run. Finally it just works automatically in your pocket if you have a phone and it doesn't overly effect the power consumption from my tests. the fact that you can just start it at the beginnning of the day and forget about it makes it a fun tool for the mountains and a great way to compare your activities at the end of the day. Thanks.Version: 2023.6

The only app you need to go riding.Coming from a Garmin Fenix device, I missed the Ski/Snowboard activity app built into the watch, I wanted something very similar. I've tried several apps in the last few month and then I cam across Slopes! If you have a cellular Apple Watch this is the only thing you'll need, It doesn't need a phone in order to work. This provides you with all the stats you'd need while riding. It even has the "Lock" feature built into the UI, so there's no accidental touches or pauses while riding. Compairing this app to my old Garmin Fenix the GPS signal and speed match up. I've used mine from 8am to 10pm riding on a single charge. This is the last app you'll ever want to use while riding hands down..Version: 2019.3

Very impressedThe range of functionality in this app is impressive. Great work to the devs and owners on this one. I thoroughly enjoyed using this with a bunch of my mates in NZ this weekend. Comparing stats and seeing our runs across the mountain was great..Version: 2022.10

Simply the best tracking app for winter sports!I've been using Slopes since 2014 and this app has simply never let me down. Some key features that I love: - Activity recording from my watch, heart activity, stats on your wrist - Replaying a session at the end of the day, with your pictures and your friends recording - Sharing a daily pass with a friend Another thing I love is that the app is updated with new features every other week. Curtis — who seems to be one of the nicest app developers on Earth — not only fixes raised issues as fast as possible, but also manages to add new features so often, always adopting Apple’s latest features: widgets, connect with Apple ID, family sharing, app available on macOS, live activities, etc. And this is not a one of, it's been like this since 2014. I've been recommending Slope to all my friends and family every time I arrive at a ski resort, and will continue to do so. I also recently subscribed to the family plan, because good work deserves to be recognized. Thanks Curtis!.Version: 2022.21

Small developer = BIG DELIVERY/EPIC APPThere is not enough praise in the world to adequately justify how epic this app is. We all use multiple apps daily for every aspect of our lives. We know how difficult it can be to suggest improvements to these big app developers and get around the bugs and useless features. Not Slopes. This app just works. This is honestly the only app on my entire phone that I get excited to open and use. The amount of detail that goes into this app is astonishing. It is super user friendly and I show it off to all my friends. This makes skiing that much more enjoyable off the slopes. I open the app and start recording at the beginning of the day and close it after my last run. Then, when I get home, I get to relive the time on the mountains with the statistics/data and the interactive map. This app gives me hope for new developers and specifically the small ones. You don’t need to be a multi million dollar corporation to build a beautiful app. Just a hard working, passionate person. Thank you Slopes for being the most epic app I have ever used. Can’t wait to ski again..Version: 2019.23

Easy to use, great features & doesn’t drain Apple Watch battery! What a great app! I can track my runs all day on my Apple Watch (whilst carrying my iPhone). Love it and wish I found it sooner!.Version: 2020.14

Best ski tracking app!I’ve used another ski tracker (Ski Tracks)for a long time, 7-8 years now. It was very good, but Slopes is even better. It does an excellent job of tracking runs even if you don’t have a paid subscription. But, the price of admission is totally worth it for what you get. The detailed run stats and 3D maps make for reviewing the days activities very easy and fun. The mapping is even better than what I am used to from Ski Tracks. The Apple Watch integration is amazing - just start your tracking from the Watch at the beginning of your day and you’ve always got detailed info on your wrist throughout the day....best of all it saves HR data so you can view that at the end of the day with your other stats. What sold me on Slopes was the built-in integration with Strava. This is the only area that I would currently like to see some upgrades. After communicating with the developer, sounds like that is on Strava’s end. Currently some of the speed data doesn’t get linked properly, but the real important stuff like distance & vertical flow over nicely. All in all this is a very solid tracker, worth the paid price. Pick it up before your next day out on the slopes!.Version: 2019.4

Super le funBonne app pour faire le suivi de nos descentes au fil des saisons..Version: 2024.4

Excellent App for Casual Riders who want to know more!I want to start this review by saying that I have spent zero dollars on the app and have only experienced the free stuff. I go on between 3 and 5 trips a year and I started using the app a little over a year ago. This app is perfect for anyone who wants to track their days on the mountain. I use the Apple Watch app to start & pause my runs and it automatically records a snowboard workout in the activity app! Last year, I got my friends to download the app so we could see who got the highest top speed. Even without the premium features, this is the perfect app for someone who wants to have the trail map, run data, rider-reported mountain conditions, and a ski patrol help button in one place!.Version: 2021.16

This is the benchmark!Quite simply the best slickest most capable sports tracking app I’ve ever used. It is the benchmark that others should aim for. When it comes to the specifics of skiing/boarding it adds such a fun dimension to a group holiday too - and the location tracking for when a friend takes a wrong turn is invaluable! Tons of stats, interactive maps, Just brilliant..Version: 2022.7

Great Information. Low battery drain. Love being able to compare with friendsUsed this app on a recent trip to the snow. Battery drain was excellent. iPhone 13 Pro Max and had about 70pc left at end of day. Took some photos and videos through the day too.Version: 2023.2

Awesome App for skiingBought this for my daughter going on her first ski trip. Recorded all her runs, lifts used, speeds, tracks, great 3D visuals. As soon as she was done for the day Slopes would update and we could look at all the runs she had done, didn’t even have to wait till she got home. Will be a great addition to the photo memories of the trip. Due to my error on start date for the pass I had to contact support. Decent response time, corrected my error quickly. Real people. Highly recommended..Version: 2020.3

Great app for skiers, with lots of InformationThe app is great at showing you where you have been and showing you your bests, and if you have an Apple Watch it links great. It stands out from the others with it’s easy to use U.I and tracking system. It is let down by there being a “premium subscription” that can hinder some of the best features. So all in all great app with one small caveat..Version: 2022.10

Great skiing appI use this every ski day. I love it. Know your top speed and record number of runs. Greatness..Version: 2023.18

This is a wonderful AppSlopes works effortlessly and keeps accurate stats of your progress on the slopes. I’ve been using it for 3 years now and always appreciate how well it keeps track of my time, my speed, how many runs I’ve done, and elevation. You just need to remember to turn it on before you make your first run, then you just forget about it till you’re done! BYW, I use the Epic pass since I ski at the Vail properties and they have a feature on their app that’s supposed to work like Slopes. I’ve tried it twice now and it hasn’t worked at all. It just doesn’t record. By way of comparison, I’ve never had any difficulty with Slopes, EVER!!.Version: 2023.18

Awesome skiing allReally great skiing app! Some more features I would love: - more regular updates of friend location (or live refresh, if I close the app and open I get the new location but if I just keep hovering in them it doesn’t move) - interactive maps for where I was skiing (Gastein).Version: 2024.4

Great ski trackerIt’s hard to find fault with this app. I do have one request, which I’ll lead with. Some of us hike to certain runs or off piste spots. Here at aspen Highlands, the Bowl is a daily ritual. Slopes tracks the hike perfectly, but seems to think it is a lift for calorie tracking purposes. I can assure you it is not. Since Slopes knows where all the lifts are, it would seem a simple matter to track this uphill high altitude trail. I love how accurate Slopes is. It captures every run perfectly, even the intermittent rest stops. The distances and speeds are great. The map of my ski day is fun. It helps me remember how many days I do what in a year, which I love. The real test will be in Japan later in the season, where on and off piste skiing is on tap. It would be nice if it tracked hiking (and skinning) separately for what it is, rather than lumping it into the lazy uphill category. Great app!.Version: 2019.23

Fantastic Ski Tracking AppI used this at Mt. Sunapee resort for the first time yesterday. The app is very polished and does exactly what it's supposed to. The Apple Watch version is also very good. I can tell the developer put a lot of thought and care into this project. The app tracks the amount of time you spent going downhill, riding the lift uphill, and resting. It will even estimate calories burned and add it to the Health app. The optional in app purchase model for advanced stats works well. You can use the app without purchasing a pass, but the price for a day is very reasonable and allows you to track more information about your day while supporting the developer for making this great app. I've used other ski tracking apps and this is the best I've used so far by a long shot..Version: 2.6

Don’t ride without it!!Awesome to look back on your seasons and compare your stats to your friends..Version: 2024.2

Love skiing - this is for you!Downloaded and started using Slopes, really useful and provided a lot of detail about my day! Also got the yearly pass and am so impressed with the extra metrics and ski history. All in all an awesome app that all skiers should be using....Version: 2018.1

Great app, even better developerI've been using this app for a while and I've really enjoyed it. My kids actually look forward to the chair lift so we can look at the stats on our most recent run: how far, how high, and of course, how fast. If you love skiing, you'll love this app. Even better was the most recent update note about removing the Facebook hooks. It seems that every day there's yet another announcement about FB abusing or leaking our personal data, so I'm really happy to see that this developer is taking steps to distance the app (and all of its users) from "that creepy company". I wish more programmers took privacy that seriously. To the developer(s) - you've made us fans for life. No kidding..Version: 2019.12

If it’s not the best ski tracker, it’s certainly in the top oneEvery thing about this app is spot on, from ease of use to the breakdown of runs with clear information of what you’ve done in the day on the mountain. Graphics are excellent and what you can do in the app just gets better with each update. The support you get is second to none with extremely quick response to any emails you send to the developer should you ever need to that is. This app has been developed by someone who knows what skiers and boarders want from a tracking app for sure..Version: 2018.16

Great ski tracking appI’ve been using Slopes for 4 years now and it just keeps getting better and better. The premium features are worth every penny with a wealth of interesting info and a great 3D map. Bring able to track friends in the app now is awesome. The Apple Watch app is great as well with a brilliant design and the use of the digital grown means you can use it with gloves..Version: 2022.8

First Class!I’ve been a subscriber since the first version of the app and am a very happy subscriber. For the price of a couple hours of a ski lift pass, this app gives all the information about your day’s activities - and then gives historical analysis as well. I’ve never experienced a crash or a freeze - it does what is says it will reliably. The app has frequent updates and uses little power on an Apple Watch. I once connected with the developer to suggest some improvements and got a rapid response (which surprised me!) and the implemented the suggestions in due course. If you’re a keen skier or boarder, this is definitely worth a few of your hard bucks! Worth noting that you can wait your day’s recording easily when you don’t tell the app you’ve finished for the day and jump in a car or bus - this is something you can’t do on Apple’s native fitness app..Version: 2023.12

Best app for ski tracking, without doubtThe attention to detail and all round “quality” of this app shines through from the very first time you open it- and it doesn’t disappoint from there. The visualisation of my ski days is fantastic, and allows me to bring to life memories of my day - and of weeks and years past - so easily. Comparing stats with ski holiday mates is really interesting too..Version: 2020.12

TodayVery accurate!! I highly recommend it.Version: 2024.1

Cool dataCool app. Works really well with the iwatch..Version: 2.6

Get ya mates to join!Great app to keep track of your time on the mountains and settle who’s getting more riding done in your group of friends...Version: 2020.14

Outstanding app for snowsports enthusiastsSimply put: outstanding app. From the wealth of stats that are collected to their presentation, Slopes is hands down the best app for tracking your feats of heroism in the mountains. There is so much happening behind the scenes that reveal the attention to detail. For example, the daily overview with a map of your progress breaks out runs vs lift rides. Fine, lots of apps do that. But Slopes shows you an elevation profile or your heart rate over time. And it even identifies the names of the lifts ridden! Small detail for sure, but still cool. Suggestions. 1. The Apple Watch app UI is too delicate and dainty. I’d prefer to see number of runs as the largest number, not elapsed time. It would be great if you could pick, say, three or four stats, each displayed in the largest possible format (for those of us that wear single vision contacts when riding the pow). 2. The season log book shows elapsed time skiing or total time. But these only resolve to hourly significant figures. That’s too coarse. It should show hours and minutes. 3. Would be awesome if the Apple Watch app could read your current stats aloud by tapping on the watch face or perhaps invoking Siri..Version: 2021.5

Perfect skiing appThis is a terrific app for tracking your snow miles, speed, effort over a whole holiday and comparing your stats with friends. I had a couple of free passes for the premium access, and I’ll definitely be buying a week’s premium pass next time I go - the ability to see and review each run after the fact is a great feature. The app worked seamlessly with my Apple Watch and the fitness app too, meaning I got credit for my exertions. First rate app - great job!.Version: 2022.7

Love it!I’ve had slopes for a few years now and love it. Great app even if you don’t have the premium version..Version: 2024.4

Great app and customer serviceI downloaded this app so that my teen and I could keep in touch while skiing. I love the stats at the end of every day. The app is really good on the battery life even when it’s quite cold. I had difficulties transferring the stats to my cell on the third use but the customer service was great at helping me find a solution. I would recommend this app for sure. Edit to add: this year with the updates there are no longer any issues with data transfer. Great job!.Version: 2024.3

Love this appMy husband and I just started snowboarding and we are just wrapping up our second season. We got slopes premium this year and are loving it. I set a goal for myself to increase my speed and it was so helpful to be able to watch my top speed and average speeds go up throughout the season. It was also fun to compete with my husband about who was faster. (For the record, it’s me 😉) it is also helpful when we split up with our girls and can see where each other are on the mountain. I like to replay my day at the end of the day and see where on the mountain my highest speeds are. We will definitely be using it next year! I have recommended it to several friends already..Version: 2022.8

Your best on hill AppI have been using Slopes for years and it just keeps getting better. Coupled with an Apple Watch it just quietly tracks your stats (speed, vertical, runs, etc) and makes for an awesome review at the end of the day. What is really impressive is that it doesn’t kill your batteries to do this. After a full day of riding and running it fully coupled it used something like 15%; that’s impressive. Also works as an awesome alternative to carrying around a paper map of the resort which will get wet, ripped, and you need to figure out where you are. If you have friends woth Slopes l on their phone you can also track each other so there’s no guessing where anyone is if you get split up. An essential app on my phone that securely has its place on the front screen. 👍🏼👍🏼.Version: 2024.4

What a great App!I downloaded this App while riding the Chairlift. It has been a ton of fun tracking the runs at our little Ski Hill. Thanks so much!.Version: 2024.2

I love the tracking it works greatGreat app.Version: 2024.4

Great to keep track of friends on the hillThis is a great app with well developed features and integrations (Strava). Really like the ability to see where my friends are on the mountain..Version: 2024.4

Great AppI enjoy using it while skiing. Keeps track of all pertinent stats and lets you review them after a day on the slopes . Works as advertised. Very happy, recommend!.Version: 2024.2

Great app, unsure how it could get betterI used Slopes for the first time today and is perfect. Tracks all the info - not just the snow part but health as well. Ties into all the features your phone and watch have and never feels confusing. Looking forward to it being my snow holiday tracker. 5 stars..Version: 2018.26

Stop looking another tracking app and get SlopesTL;DR get Slopes if you are interested in any sort of ski/snowboard tracking This is the only ski/snowboard tracking app you will need. Once you download and try it you will be hooked. We used to only be able to know who got to the bottom of the run fastest, and just try our hardest to remember how many runs we did, did we ride Montezuma 3 or 4 times before lunch, I lost count. Not any more! Every stat you can think of is tracked, lift time and line time, actual riding time, speed, distance, altitude, runs, heart rate (with Apple Watch), gps map of your runs, 3D map of your runs, and some many others. Now you can see exactly how many runs you did and who is getting to a higher speed during the run! I was able to pinpoint exactly how fast I was riding when I crashed and dislocated my shoulder (39mph), but don’t tell my wife. On top of the already awesome app, it keeps getting regular updates! I thought to myself, it would be great if the Apple Watch app tracked heart rate, not a month later it was added. Then I though it would be cool if you could see a graph of this, again a month later that feature was added. I don’t have any more ideas but I’m sure something else I love is coming..Version: 2018.24

The most awesome app there is!Everything you want + more!.Version: 2021.12

What would Jesse Pinkman do?I give a 5 star. I was gifted an Apple Watch for Christmas and have been recording as many days on snow as I can. (So far iv got 28 days, 258runs) I really enjoy being able to look back at my day and see each run, even with the free version. I am however very forgetful and sometimes forget to stop the recording and the app records my ride home as a result. I know I can edit those out with the features provided. I wish there was a way for the app to be able to recognize when iv left the resort, and am on main roads, so that an auto stop would activate and auto log while I’m driving. I get that that’s asking a lot for someone who’s lazy and just forgetting to simply hit stop, but i think, in my opinion, that it would make the app better. You’ve already improved in so many ways since the 26th of dec. and I thank you for that! Thank you for a lock, the stop without pause, and the safety features for glade trials..Version: 2020.7

Great App best I have usedJust completed our final run for the weekend in St Anton. Spring like conditions but got a few miles under our skis. Three weeks ago we were in Valmeinier a fantastic weeks holiday in have been using Slopes for a few years now and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Honestly believe that Slopes is the best one out there. The attention to details is absolutely first class and I found myself reviewing my stats from the day and then down to each run. Guess I will have to book another holiday to use it again..Version: 2024.4

Makes snowboarding even more fun***update 1 June 2022*** congratulations on your nomination for a design award! ==== I love snowboarding. I’m really very bad at it, nearly 50 years old and totally unfit. But it just keeps dragging me back to the mountains. For the past five years I’ve used Slopes on every trip - who wouldn’t want to know how far they’ve trekked each day, each week, each season? Who wouldn’t want to see their daily efforts on a beautiful 3D representation of the mountain. Most of all, Slopes integrates with everything that’s good about iPhone: my pictures from the day form part of the logbook, my Apple Watch provides all the health sensor data that could possibly be needed. I simply cannot thank Curtis (the developer) enough for his continued efforts to not just maintain this app but to making it better and better each time!.Version: 2022.10

SlopesThis app is amazing and does so much more than just track runs, speed, etc. the family sharing subscription is awesome now as we are on a family ski trip. Don’t hesitate just buy..Version: 2018.26

Best Sports Tracking AppThis app is amazing! Hands down the best sports tracking app and probably my favorite app to use period. Not only does it flawlessly track my ski runs, it is so simple to use. Just show up at the ski area and the app auto-detects where you are, hit start on your watch and off you go. Auto-pauses and auto-resumes when youy stop at the lodge for a bite to eat. Will detect when you accidentally drove off and didn't stop recording. Has weather and maps for many resorts, not just handful of the biggest resorts. Great watch integration. I can keep going, but the best part is how affordable it is. The free version is really good but the developer gives multiple options for the premium version from single day use up to annual pass and they are all an incredible value. Can't say enough good things about this app and the developer keeps making improvements. Support him so he can keep up the awesome work!.Version: 2022.2

Best Ski Tracking App!I’ve used this app for several season and tracked my runs in Canada, US and Japan. Read all of the resort data perfectly. Seamlessly transfers data to Strava. I use an iPhone 13 Pro and an Apple Watch 5 currently but previously used an iPone 11 pro and never had a battery drain issue. Improvements also seem to be pretty consistent, each season there’s a suite of new features. The only draw back is the price. It’s an expensive app. Would be nice to get it a bit cheaper and with Family Sharing so my wife and kids could also use it..Version: 2023.1

Beginners Helper. As a beginner Snowboarder, I’ve been using slopes to track my runs so I can keep a record of the progress I’m making it’s great the way it can automatically detect the difference between being on a run or on a lift, and it adds to your daily workout to boot..Version: 2.6

The perfect app for any snow sports fansSlopes is the perfect app to track your riding, you can tell the developer uses it himself since it has all the functionality you would want, and it uses all the latest Apple technologies like Live Activities etc. You owe it to yourself to get this if you spend any time skiing or snowboarding..Version: 2023.1

The absolute best ski tracking appBeen using this for two years now and it's just the easiest, most complete, and useful tracking app. I absolutely love it..Version: 2024.4

Fantastic free or paidReally really great app for if you’re really into your snow sports or just go the odd weekend like myself. Since I don’t go much, slopes really helps me look at the progress that I’m making over the years and also great for wee competitions with your friends and family. I wish it didn’t have so many things that you can accidentally click on which will take you to a ‘buy our premium version’ page. Fully understand that they would need a premium version, but when it pops up on my screen every 2nd thing I click it becomes very off putting. All in all would strongly recommend, thinking of trying the premium version if I start skiing more..Version: 2020.12

Great Customer ServiceThe app is as good as everyone says, but so is the help you get. My phone died on me just as I finished the day and I lost the stats. On a chance, I messaged in and Emma from supper had me send in a log file, very clear and simple instructions and then recovered the days activity. Fantastic service, highly recommend..Version: 2023.3

THE winter sports appThis is one of the most curated and cared for apps in the App Store. Who cares about the features? You won’t need to as they are plentiful and do all you need and well to track your skiing or snowboarding. You’ll get email updates at each release filled with useful info and clear detail and passion on what the developer has made better or integrated together with. This guy cares, has already written a good app and will continue to care. There is no doubt in my mind that whatever the weather (boom boom) I won’t even consider another winter sport tracking app..Version: 2020.9

Really goodIt’s really good and it tracks how many runs you do and it tracks your highest speed, it measures how long you’ve been skiing and what distance you’ve been doing it for!! But the really good thing is that it doesn’t just measure skiing but also snowboarding!! It’s really great would definitely recommend getting it!!! 😁😁😁.Version: 2024.4

Love this appI used this app for the first time to track my skiing during a holiday in Austria. I loved checking my stats at the end of each day and sharing them on social media via the easy links. I also linked my activity to my iPhone health app and to Strava, which was really easy to set up. I will definitely be using this app next year to measure my progress and check my daily stats ❤️.Version: 2020.12

The more I use it, the more impressed I amIt took me a day to adjust but once I got a feel for the app, I started to appreciate it more and more. There are so many thoughtful features like replays or the interactive map or being able to track unofficial runs; but what I appreciate most is being able to find your friends on the mountain WITHOUT having to “create a group” every. single. time. That one less step makes such a huge difference, I can’t even tell you. And to have the choice not to share, if you don’t want to. Well done. Thank you! PS. One feature that would be super helpful is to be able to edit our “end time” in the event we forget to end our session before leaving the mountain. Many of us have accidentally tracked our drives home & our top speed times are ridiculous! 🤣.Version: 2024.4

Issues Retrieving Resort InfoI downloaded this app for my first trip out west thinking it would be nice to track my rides. For the most part, it’s been fantastic at recording my day! You really can set it and forget it for the most part. It’s jam packed with cool features that make it feel like you can “relive” some of your best days on the mountain via the logbook. Note: It’s not worth much without a paid membership, but that’s fine considering it’s the top-rated ski tracking app and you’re getting premium features. I have had a few missed runs/sections of the day, but that’s user error. (Forgetting to pause when switching basins, etc) But I do want to speak on one issue I’ve been having. Sometimes, it’s impossible to pull up resort info. Right now, if I try to search for any resort, no results will be listed. It’s almost as if the app is tying resort searches to your current location or something. I hope it gets fixed soon bc I’d like to bookmark resort pages to ogle over places to consider for next ski season..Version: 2022.9

An essential tool each seasonAs a new snowboarder I wanted to track my progress each season. I’m now in my third season and this app continues to provide exactly what I need and more! Great value and the latest updates are brilliant..Version: 2020.18

Best recording for snowboarding &skiingSlopes is a amazing app because it is well build and does not show any ads every second(no ads). Definitely give it a try and it will push you to your true potential..Version: 2023.16

This app saved my life on first day!We where at keystone, and I was in ski class. They let us free style for a while, so I went through the trees, thinking it would be a short trail to a jump, but it kept on going. Then I got stuck in a tree well. I barely got out, I was freezing without my gloves. I didn’t know what the number was for ski patrol, but the app did! Before we went skiing, my grampa told me about this app, so I got it. Ski patrol came immediately and helped me out. Thank you creators!!! This app can save your life just by a press of a button. It’s also fun to know how fast you were and try to beat your friends. I highly suggest this app..Version: 2023.6

Good app, worth the $Been using slopes since almost day one, easy and intuitive.Version: 2023.8

Great app, could use one improvementI’ve been looking for an app to track my snowboarding for sometime now and am really happy to finally find it. Easy to use, GPS based location is great considering other apps I have used can’t lock it down, Strava integration (I don’t like Strava’s on slope recording compared to its cycling accuracy), and Watch integration. All around a good app with some cool features. I’m not a premium subscriber yet as my main riding partner is in a cast and I won’t be going to any big resorts this year, but I am looking forward to using my day pass to try out the features. My one complaint, and this may just be with my Watch itself, is that the Siri integration for Slopes doesn’t work on it. I say “hey Siri, start snowboarding” and the Fitness app pops up. It works fine on my phone, but not on the Watch. Like I said, could be a Watch thing, but I would like the ability to use voice control confidently. Aside from that one hiccup, which is probably just user error, a great app that I highly recommend..Version: 2020.20

5hrs of boarding data lost after app crashesI’ve used this app for 4 years now and I used to love it. Now they raise theirs prices $5 every year (way ahead of inflation), at this point they’re milking every penny out of their customers, while pushing for auto renewal (trashy dark-pattern). They keep adding more and more features that I don’t use or care about. While the CORE FUNCTIONALITY, recording my runs during the day is completely useless after the app crashes at the end of the day. I’d expect the app to work flawlessly when I pay 30$ A SEASON. But it seems the developer has just become greedy, adding all kinds of feature while ignoring their most basic functionality. Maybe focus on your roots, and make your team lean to focus on what really matter. I won’t be paying for any subscription moving forward. Every year is more issues and disappointments..Version: 2024.2

Loving everything about this appIt has great statistics, let’s you review your day, tells you how long you spent waiting, on the lift and skiing. It works with my watch and I don’t ski without it..Version: 2024.4

Best ski tracker, no comparisonWorks flawlessly. So easy to use, if you go to a new mountain it knows where you are immediately. The data feels very accurate. It’s always within a few hundred feet of epic mix and while I have no way of verifying this I believe slopes to be more accurate. Running slopes all day in addition to music does not significantly affect my battery life. The 3D replay is awesome. It’s cool to see where you were in the trees or off piste when it’s not always obvious. I don’t think the calories burned is accurate as I’ve gotten similar numbers if I’m on bumps vs groomers but this should be fixed with the new update if you use it with Apple Watch and hr. My only wish at this point would be for some sort of leaderboard. Either way this is the best ski tracker app there is..Version: 2018.5

GreatIt’s really good and I used it all march, but the new update keeps crashing as soon as I open the app. This is on my iPhone 7 running iOS 15. Please help.Version: 2023.7

Great App67 days skiing southern hemisphere 2023 just finished and Slopes didn’t miss a beat..Version: 2023.11

Epic Skiing AppLifetime stats, top speeds, run by run locational tracking, pretty sweet and that’s the free version, will invest in the full version next season. Hard out recommend 🤟.Version: 2020.17

Best ski app out thereI’ve tried a few ski apps and Slopes beats the lot. It figures out when you start and stop a run, so no fiddling with phones at the top of mountains. It plots your runs on 3D maps, integrates with Apple Health, gives you all sorts of stats and so on. Despite all the things it does it remains incredibly easy to use. I bought the paid version as I was thinking of making a donation anyway as thanks for such a great app..Version: 2020.7

🔥🔥🔥Fantastic app for any skiers/snowboarders looking to track their day on the slopes. The data the app gives even without the premium pass is still very cool and helpful. You can view your top speed, longest run length, a timeline of all lift rides and runs with an animation on a 2D map, etc. The premium pass somehow makes it 10x better, with precise lift and run times for each run, instantaneous speeds on any run, a 3D google-earth like view of your day on the slopes, a graph with your heart rate and speed along the timeline, and many other things that would take too long to list here. I would HIGHLY recommend this app, and if you can afford the premium pass, even just for a day or a single trip, I would also highly recommend it. The only issue I have had with the app is the last 90 min of one of my days not recording, which I think was due to me accidentally force closing the app; otherwise, it is absolute 🔥. I almost never write reviews, but this app deserved my time. (Which should tell y’all something).Version: 2020.12

SlopesThis app could not be better. So easy to connect with your friends and see each other’s stats. 10 out off 10.Version: 2022.21

GreatGreat app! A need to have if your a skier 👏🏻.Version: 2024.4

Love itSo fun to keep track of runs and vertical.Version: 2021.16

AmazingMy family and I use it everyday and have down for multiple seasons, very good.Version: 2022.10

Great AppDoes everything I was looking for and more, a really great app. Adds in a bit of competition with your mates too which is always fun.Version: 2021.10

Fantastic app for keeping track of your ski seasonLove how it knows which ski hill I’m at. Launch it and forget it until you’ve finished the last run. Great summary at the end of the season..Version: 2024.1

Pleasantly Surprised with SlopesGreat features and UI. This app on the iOS side is robust, stable and cutting edge. I love the feature where you can compare runs with friends. Also love the ability to edit out car time in car between runs, but I wish it would allow you to re-sync with Strava after recorded data from car rides are edited out. It seems that it only does the immediate sync of real-time data to Strava only once after you stop recording. I’ve even tried to disconnect and reconnect to Strava and data didn’t re-sync even after the app asked if I wanted to upload recent activity (‘recent’ isn’t defined). Finally, the synced runs in Strava don’t provide heart data but the developer is working on that with Strava. Overall, though, while the $25 annual unlimited membership seems a bit much I think the $40 family plan (up to 6 in a household) makes it worth it if everyone skis/rides. Again, I love the app despite the cons above because the pros outweigh for sure..Version: 2021.17

Lack of features on IPadIt’s odd that the « resorts informations» features that is available on IPhone is not on the IPad version. It would be nice to have it. Thanks!.Version: 2020.19

First time tracking.Hands down best ski tracking app there is! I’ve never tracked a trip before, so decided to try a few out. This app (especially when paired with the Apple Watch) churns our tons of info. My favourite feature is viewing where the days photos were taken and favouriting days. Keep up the great work dude! I will be using this again 🌨⛷.Version: 2020.8

Solid AppVery good app, would highly recommend it to anyone who would want to track their time on the mountain. Easy to use and shows you all the cool and important statistics that you love to see and compare with others. And who doesn’t love the bragging rights of who was the fastest or covered the most distance?.Version: 2020.7

Très bienVraiment très bien.Version: 2024.2

Fab appSo much fun to see each others stats at the end of the day. Great to see what runs you’ve done, top speeds etc. Great app if your on your own but even better when there’s a few of you connected! If you loose each other just check the app and you see where everyone are. Jojo.Version: 2023.5

The go to app for the slopesSlopes is the friendly portal to tracking your skiing activities and your skiing buddies. Accurate and with a host of data and functionality all our crew ski with Slopes, enabling us to stay in touch and chat through our day with a bit of data back up to support the tales. For the future, maybe total distance travelled can be shown, as well as descents. Also, an automatic purse function when stationary for over a set period..Version: 2024.3

Fully LegitLove slopes, I’m an avid snow ski and boarder and have been using slopes premium for 5 years. love everything about it from the detailed run stats to competing with friends. Great app, uses hardly any battery, very easy to use, great 3d view. well done slopes team looking forward for the years to come.Version: 2022.10

Awesome!Fantastic app! Can’t think of any improvements - it’s that good! Adds a whole new dimension to a day on the mountain. I’m hooked!.Version: 2024.1

Skier’s EssentialThis app was brilliant I simply loaded and they ski areas I was going to visit and the app worked perfectly. The data is really useful..Version: 2024.4

Amazing on any device, paid or free, any trip!Okay, so I've had this app for about 6m and today I finally got to use it as I haven't been out on the slopes. This app is simply amazing. Not only is it great on Apple Watch. Old iPhones (tried on IPhone 5), and new iPhones, but it's also very accurate on all of them. It got my exact times (times Myself with atop watch) shows you any wipeouts, slowdowns, speeds, and everything you cAn think of. It shows you very single run in 3D mode, and even a satellite view of the mountain, showing exactly on the trail you were at, showing all your turns. That one is a paid feature, but with all the amazing paid features I recommend getting a one day pass. I don't ski often, so it's totally worth it. If you ski at least twice a week, maybe get a liger pass. It's amazing for casual skiing for a hobby like myself, or if your a racer or comp skier. Would 1000% recommend..Version: 2018.14

A must have for snow sportsYou need this app. What are you waiting for??.Version: 2024.1

Great App!A great app with heaps of useful features - I’m a pretty beginner skier and just use the app out of interest, but can see how some of the features would be useful for someone more advanced. Would suggest trying it..Version: 2020.14

Super!Slopes is great for skiing. the apps great for tracking speed and distance. And it knows when you’re going up ski lifts which other ski apps don’t. Definitely worth it. One issue was we noticed that my distance wasn’t quite that same as my friends even though we’d skiid together. Totally worth it still..Version: 2023.6

Best snow sports tracker i used so farEven the free version gives you a lot of info about your ride, the integration with Apple Watch works perfectly.Version: 2023.12

Cool app that’s USB is it links to StravaGreat app that surpasses the one I have used for years as it links to strava so I have all my sports records in one place. Sadly due to privacy reasons HR data doesn’t make it across which is a shame but not the developers fault. Would be great if it also linked to training peaks but without HR data there would be little point. These things aside I really rate it and it is now my go to snow sports tracker..Version: 2022.7

SlopesGreat app I luv it I have my family on it three sons great to compare runs etc highly recommend this app got your next ski trip RJE147.Version: 2022.21

Battery saverJust used the app and it’s awesome tracking all day long without killing the battery. Great statistics and could not pass up the daily passes for 3D and detailed analysis. Buy it now before you hit the slopes..Version: 2019.12

Sensational game changerI am a very average 56yo skier and even worse navigator in the mountains. I often worry I will lose the group I am with. I used the app today for the first time and it was sensational. I could see where my family was at any given time. I could ski a little slower and be confident I would find them again. It was also fun to see my stats and compare them to my sons’. Slopes works very well and the user interface is fantastic. Curtis what an amazing app. Thank you!.Version: 2024.4

The best app for skiers and snowboardersWhat an app. Simply the best for data tracking, great Apple Watch integration and the pricing (annual season pass) model is fantastic. Seems expensive, but then it’s no more than a couple of shots of schnapps on the mountain. Battery life/usage is very optimal, and more importantly, it’s actively supported and developed. I’ve tried a few others but this is the only one you’ll need..Version: 2020.5

Great ski tracker, great support tooFirstly, this is the best ski tracker I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a few!). It gives great data including good agglomerated stats, run breakdown and moment by moment. The premium pass gives a wealth of data, and you can set a geofence at the main lift from resort so you don’t forget to start it. All through the app has a clean look and feel, and an intuitive interface. As well as being a great app, the support is fabulous, I asked a question last night and this morning had an email from the developer waiting for me with a really clear answer that solved my problem..Version: 2018.6

Fire.Version: 2024.4

Worth its weight in snowUsing the app so easy Start and forget but clocking your stats i find so helpful to keep pushing myself and get more out of the mountain. I love the offline maps - and with the ability to add notes to each run it will help when i return to my favourite resorts. I still had to go outside the app for more detailed snow reports but i think where the app is heading it is to be the one stop shop for all my ski/boarding knowledge and own performance. Look forward to using some of the friends features. Thank you..Version: 2024.1

Ski appI find it quick easy access , never failed me. Keeps tracks of runs excellent and slow or fast motion 👍👍.Version: 2023.18

Great stuffVery accurate and cool To get good stats.Version: 2.3

Reliable, useful and always improvingThis app is great. We use it as a family in Australia and overseas. The features increase any season and on the rare case you need supports it’s fast, personal and thorough..Version: 2023.8

Great Skiing AppI bought the 7 day pass pack to test the app whilst skiing in Tignes early March 2023. The access to data is fantastic, every stat you could need to monitor your runs. I use it with the Apple Watch as the ‘master’ and sync. with my phone when finished. The sad news is that I am much slower than I thought I was but I can’t blame the app for that!.Version: 2023.6

Absolutely awesome!Very nice application, giving you exactly what you need to log your rides. You can have a full day on the mountain, listening to music and play around without draining the battery, the accuracy is amazing and with the alerts you simply can’t forget to launch it! Bonus with notifications is that you get alerted even during summer when you are close to a slope so if you like hiking you can hike around the pistes. It would be awesome if you could locate other users in the same mountain using the app. It would also be great if you could export the daily runs on a video in order to be able to share the 3D view with friends even if they don’t use the app. Awesome work, keep it up!!.Version: 2022.8

So easy and actually worksJust one tap and it tracks the whole day. Doesn’t burn your battery so it can be run the whole day and legit works without wifi or cellular..Version: 2020.2

BrilliantLoving this app. I'm 13 and this is my first skiing trip, and an app like this really helps me keep track of how I'm doing with speed, and other things. Really smooth, and I was surprised about how it kept track of when I was doing my runs, and when it knew I was on the lift. Overall I think there's not many improvements to make..Version: 2.6

Best skiing and boarding app out thereI absolutely love this app and have been using it for five years now. In hindsight feel a little bit guilty for not leaving a review before now…. Slopes accurately records a heap of data about your day on the slopes - exactly where you’ve been, when, and with whom - plus all the good stuff like how fast and how much vertical. It also integrates with your fitness data and the Apple Watch, and with any photos you’ve taken. This app is an integral part of our ski trips now. We love sitting down at the end of the day to replay each run and to compare/compete with each other. The app is constantly being improved and seems to be getting better every year. Battery life is not a problem, even with it running all day. Support seems to be pretty awesome too. I recently raised a request about a minor issue and a helpful lady called Emma responded the next day; problem solved! 😄.Version: 2021.12

Fantastic AppThis is a fantastic app. Tracking with an apple watch works perfectly and the automatic detection of runs and lifts has been flawless as well. Great to see the days runs on a map and get stats like the speed..Version: 2019.12

Great Tracking AppI gave a review on this app a few years ago and thought I would check in again. It continues to be a great and improved app. I do not ski that often so buy for daily use rather than the season. But whenever I do get out I love how it tracks so much. The best part is going home and reviewing the data. If you want to track your skiing data this is a great app. It is probably even better if you get it for the season and track all your data over time..Version: 2024.2

Very nice !Super !.Version: 2024.1

Best Ski Tracking App and I’ve tried them allThis does everything you need in a snow sport tracking app. It doesn’t use much battery, gives great stats and excellent map overlays. Great for sharing and attaches photos. Keep up the great work!!.Version: 2020.3

Just keeps getting betterI don’t buy a lot of apps or have a lot of subscriptions - but the developer for Slopes just keeps on adding features and making improvements. Works flawlessly with my Apple Watch, and my 2 kids have burner iPhones i put in their pocket to track their progress. They like to check their stats at the end of the day. There is now an SOS feature added which could come in handy but I hope I never need it. Ive picked up some stickers also and will probably grab a Stealth Tee when i reach the stats marker - would have easily made it last season but it was cut short due to Covid. I highly recommend the app and subscription if you hit the mountain more than a couple times a year..Version: 2020.22

My top skiing priorityYou might think I’m crazy that this is the first thing I think about when packing to ski, but it’s true. I love being able to see my stats and have them recorded for each season. I make sure my watch is charged for the night and start the app up every time I go to a resort. No cell service is required for the watch which is even more amazing to me. If there was one upgrade that I think the app could use would be to label each run. You can edit them if it’s a run that was recorded as a lift or if you left it on while driving to get dinner. But I would like to name the runs as the resorts name them or so that my run # compares to my friends. I couldn’t be happier with an app than I am with this one..Version: 2021.2
