Windows app doesn’t accept iPhoneWhat’s the point having an app in the Apple App Store when the Windows app STILL doesn’t work with iPhone after all these years (“Coming Soon”). I’ve got the latest updates of everything. What a waste of my time. Two richest companies in the world - get your acts together. This can’t be hard..Version: 1.23032.10

Very poorIt’s difficult to get the iPhone to connect to the pc. It can be very hit and miss so this is useless for your average user. Once connected it sort of works, ie clicking a link will open the app but instead of dialling it straight away I gave to click dial in the app. If I’m lucky enough to get this far then I’m treated to sub standard sound quality. Another MS thing that should work flawlessly out of the box but in reality is woefully inadequate..Version: 1.23081.3

Useful but flawedI’m using an iPhone and a Windows machine. But I also have a Mac. The Mac has a much better implementation for handling calls. With MacOS, the audio from an incoming call goes immediately to the phone and only goes to the computer if you accept the call on the Mac. By contrast phone link automatically connects to the computer if you answer the call on the phone, and the PC is in range. On a few occasions I’ve been in a different room and answered a call on my phone and the audio has gone to the computer. It’s really annoying, especially if it happens mid-call. I’ve been able to initiate calls from PC, but when I do this I can’t hear anything. As a result I have to switch off the “calls” option in Phone Link, it doesn’t really work. For messages and notifications it’s pretty good though..Version: 1.24021.1

Microsoft you can do betterI have never used an app with so many bugs that it makes it completely useless. If I was a developer on this team, I would start thinking about a new career outside of software. not what I expected from Microsoft..Version: 1.23032.10

Not workingI’m trying to connect my iphone and i am stuck on the connecting screen. I have tried everything.Version: 1.23032.10

This needs work but it’s better than nothing. While we’re off to a good start being able to maintain conversations and calls on my phone from my PC, it has a long way to go to really not be a complete boar to use. For starters you need to completely stay hands off of your phone and keep it locked otherwise you will not get messages properly syncing between devices. You’ll lose entire parts of conversations on your PC and there’s not way to resync or even show the messages that exist when you initially set up the pairing. The app itself on the PC is wildly limited too. You have no ability to add media of any kind like pictures to messages and if you get sent any they just show up as “attachment: 1 picture” or movie or sticker or whatever. In a pinch it’s good if you can’t use your phone to maintain a conversation. But it is woefully lacking in features and in such an infancy that it’s almost easier to buy a dang Mac instead of using this app..Version: 1.23081.3

I applaud 👏 MSFT for creating this but not sure it’s a good ideaI applaud 👏 MSFT for creating this but not sure it’s a good idea. First of all Apple products are built with privacy and security in mind. Windows products = NO. Windows products are ridiculously insecure so much so the antivirus and IT security business is a $200,000,000,000 industry. Antivirus companies came into being in large part because of how insecure MSFT products are. So now you want me to put my IOS secure stuff on to a Windows product? I would seriously consider if you want MSFT having access to all your iOS data before executing this app..Version: 1.23032.10

Needs to be more regularly updatedNeeds to be more regularly updated.Version: 1.23032.10

Good (when it works)I had quite a lot of trouble setting this app up. Now it seems to be working. It has disconnected randomly, but after a restart of both devices, it seems to be working again. Edit: I was doing exactly what the developer is asking me to do..Version: 1.23081.3

Pretty Exciting FutureThe fact that this is possible at all is incredible. We have been waiting for a feature like this for years. That being said, there are a ton of bugs and limitations. The biggest problem is that it is not a true link; your conversations don’t sync exactly from your phone to your pc like a Mac does, which is ultimately the desire of the end user. Not being able to send multimedia over the link is a huge limitation. Calling does switch over just like a headset, which is a very nice feature, especially since I use my phone and computer for work. It’s easy to leave my phone alone and field calls and messages on my computer since I’m doing relevant work on screen..Version: 1.23081.3

DecentPretty good for using iPhone with PC but has an annoying habit of switching audio over to my PC during calls - e.g. I’m on a call with my phone, then all of a sudden I have no audio, because it’s switched to PC. So I have to switch back to phone, apologise and resume…. Then it does it again 2 minutes later. Don’t really need it for calls, just text based comms..Version: 1.23081.3

Didn’t work for mePeople say it’s a poor first attempt but they probably don’t know, Microsoft released an app like this back in the day for Windows 10 as well, which was also broken and ended up being spun into Edge for iOS (ew). This doesn’t work when using iPhone as hotspot and sharing internet with windows 11 laptop. Complains a lot and fails, just like Intel Unison. Couldn’t say if it works when both connected to the same WiFi network as I only have phone data. For file transfer try KDE Connect or Localsend, these may work better for you.Version: 1.24021.1

Can’t connect my iPhone with QR codeWhen I open the app on my phone and scan the QR code it just stays at connecting, but nothing happens..Version: 1.23032.10

Windows 10After the rollout for insider program, can you start adding support for windows 10.Version: 1.23032.10

Forced upgrade to Windows 11If you'd like to use this app, Microsoft says you must upgrade to Windows 11. No technical reason, just that they withhold the functionality if you don't..Version: 1.23081.3

Phone linkMy history doesn’t come up it’s pathetic really . So it’s just one way . I send on my iPhone it doesn’t show on desktop. No conversation history or ability to send to groups..Version: 1.23081.3

Endless loading screen…This app must surely be very useful… However, it should work. After scanning the QR code and allowing access to Bluetooth, the iPhone app only displays an endless loading screen. And yes, before you ask, my Windows (11) is up to date (22621.1778), my app for PC (1.23032.196.0) as well as the one for iOS (1.23032.10). And my iOS in question is also up to date (iOS 16.5, version 20F66). Please fix this major bug quickly Microsoft, Philippe.Version: 1.23032.10

Not fully functional yet for iOSAllows you to send text messages to one person at a time. Does not allow you to send messages to a small group. Does not show incoming text messages. Does not show notification history. In fact, it does almost nothing, except let you make phone calls and send texts to one person at a time. The entire time you are using this app, you will have to also use your phone, so it makes you wonder what the point is at this point. Maybe it will become more advanced in the future and more compatible with the iPhone. Right now, it’s a little more than a neat parlor trick..Version: 1.23081.3

Kind of works, but flakey.Doesn’t always reconnect seamlessly when I walk away from PC and come back. Sometimes have to turn Bluetooth off and on again on the phone, or kill Phone Link on the PC and restart. Even when connected, not all text messages received (while connected) on the phone show up on the PC. Phone calls through PC unusable. Sound is crackly and hard to hear on the other end of the call..Version: 1.23081.3

Doesn’t workCannot pair my iPhone 13. All relevant permissions given. Just keeps saying ‘try again’. Restart of devices did not help..Version: 1.23032.10

Unable to connect to WindowsInstalled and upgraded the software to the latest version on my windows 11 pc, but still couldn't be connected to my phone. Tried manual settings didn’t work either..Version: 1.23031.2

Ehh…Intel Unison is a little better (mainly because you can transfer data even on an iPhone). This app is bad, but it is better than having to pick up your phone. It truly is so limited, and I REALLY HOPE the team can improve it whereas group messages will work, you can receive messages instead of having to send out a message first, being able to click on a phone number on the internet or a link in Salesforce (in particular) and have it upload to phone link (if there are any letters or numbers after the actual number, the phone number doesn’t work well). Anyways, this is a great tool for sales if they can spend some time to think through the use case..Version: 1.23081.3

When it works it’s fantasticThe concept is very good. The execution is where it lags a bit. There are some limitations but you know that going in. No group messages and no images. That’s fine. What is frustrating is that the app will randomly stop working. I’ll be able to see notifications but not the content. Or I can send but not receive on my laptop. Deleting the app on phone and laptop works sometimes not always. As I said, when it is working it’s excellent and very useful. FYI. IPhone 14 and Surface Pro. Surface Pro interacts better than with office desktop..Version: 1.23081.3

Doesn’t workIt simply doesn’t work on IOS devices, found it very easy to connect on my Samsung device but it doesn’t connect on my iPhone..Version: 1.23032.10

Why Bother?!I’m genuinely confused as to why this is available in the iOS store to then jump on my PC and be told ‘iPhone coming soon’. This was a complete waste of time..Version: 1.23032.10

Can’t mirrorDoes somethings, but I got this so I could mirror my phone to my laptop, I can’t it says there should be a “mirror” button but there is not one..Version: 1.23032.10

Very Convenient (when it works)It’s a great little app. However I’ve found it to be sometimes unreliable. Particularly with the messages function. It has gotten so much better since last year though!.Version: 1.24021.1

GlitchesI’m so glad there is an iPhone link app on windows now! It has seriously been so helpful for my work. However, there are still little problems. Sometimes the iPhone link won’t open for me at all. It seems to work properly at random. When it is open, it doesn’t show all of my current texts and if I look up a particular text stream, it won’t display the previous messages sent (unless they were sent using the link). Looking forward to seeing how it continues to improve!.Version: 1.24021.1

Poor and incompatible with teamsI upgraded to windows 11 just to use phone link with my iPhone 15. Unfortunately it’s awful. A few people have tried this in my company and I have it on my home workstation and office laptop and the experience is identical (consistently poor). On reboot it regularly needs to be setup again. Oddly Microsoft did not consider those people who use Teams! When you receive a teams call which rings my desktop and mobile, because it rings my mobile the phone link shows a pop up over the Teams answer pop up. If you reject the phone link pop up it cancels the call, if you accept it you’ve just answered the teams call on your mobile. It also sent my cpu to 100% and I had to kill ask. In summary it’s absolutely awful. I’ve changed settings to stop it running on reboot, but it still runs. I am somewhat surprised just how bad it is!!! I’d avoid until a lot more work has been done as it provides zero value..Version: 1.24012.4

Needs work…This is more like a proof of concept at this point. Sad given MS quality and output from other apps of late. Notifications are the key as other reviews mentioned. If you have iMessage open on your phone, then no notification is given on the phone, hence does not show up in Windows phone link. Message is apparently lost. if iMessage is NOT open on the phone and Phone Link app is open in Windows then the ‘message conversation’ is not updated but it appears as though the message was received as it shows in notifications. Close and open the Windows phone link application and the message is properly displayed in the message conversation. App is simply not ready for prime time… hoping to see rapid improvements as I have been waiting a while for this functionality..Version: 1.23032.10

Doesn’t workWhenever I try to open the actual computer software, it simply refuses to open! Also, when it does open, the app on my phone says ‘connecting…’ and then never actual connects. I was actually looking forward to this Microsoft update but I guess I set my hopes too high..Version: 1.23032.10

The app is kot functioning properlyWaste of time.Version: 1.23032.10

Does not work on ios17Installed on to my new iPhone 15 pro max and all the app says waiting for connection will connect to a paired pc when in range well my phone is next to my pc so does not connect.Version: 1.23081.3

Waste of time, and storageHow does Microsoft even manage to make these butters apps that don’t even do the one 1 thing it was supposed to🤦‍♂️ Literally waited for what felt like hours but nothing! I would switch to a Mac if I could afford it instantly. And don’t give me the same response as the others because there is nothing on your 100s of support websites Microsoft, step up your game- it would be amazing to like windows again!.Version: 1.23032.10

Please add Audio input/output configuration ON PCI cannot configure which mic or which speaker used by phone link. So when connected yhe sound is not coming through the default speaker and the sound volume from the mic also very low.Version: 1.23081.3

FrustratingNotifications - particularly phone call notifications need to be optional.Version: 1.24021.1

Convenient, but…Convenient, but the sound on laptop is not clear. I alway had to switch to phone speaker. Also the app is not letting us select the numbers on the computer. Ability to select the numbers, would’ve let us copy numbers and paste or emails or anywhere..Version: 1.23081.3

Doesn’t work.It just doesn’t work..Version: 1.23031.2

It’s 2023!It’s 2023 and we should not have so many problems trying to connect an iPhone to Windows. All I want is to transfer a few pictures, is that too much to ask?! This app doesn’t work, iCloud doesn’t work, Airdrop doesn’t work, email only supports 20mb. Sort it out MS and Apple!.Version: 1.23081.3

Doesn’t refresh properlyDoesn’t receive messages doesn’t auto refresh properly. Useless right now.Version: 1.23032.10

Hardly ever worksI was really hoping for something close to the integrate experience of the Apple ecosystem but far from it. Please keep developing… this could be great!.Version: 1.24021.1

Useful albeit glitchyI appreciate being able to send iPhone messages from this app on my Windows machine. I wish it were more responsive and functional, but it is absolutely better than not being able to send and receive messages from my computer. I wish it didn’t sometimes take a call away from my phone without warning and if I try to get rid of the phone window on my computer I’m likely to hang up on the person (there is not an easy/obvious way to “transfer” the call back to my phone). I wish it worked more like “CarPlay” in my car. Still, when I need to send a message from my computer, this is my go-to app..Version: 1.23081.3

Better than nothing but some big gapsHey it's great that I can finally use my iPhone from my computer computer. But the App is very inconsistent and there are massive feature gaps and failures. The first thing is no incoming messages display on the computer. So you can send messages from your computer but you can't see anybody's replies. Then the worst behavior is that it automatically redirects audio to the computer when you're in proximity. So if you're standing on the phone and you get a little too close to the computer boom all of a sudden it's trying to make you have your conversation through the computer speakers and microphone. And maybe I'm missing it but I can't figure out how to turn that off..Version: 1.24021.1

Phone LinkI’ve been using Phone Link for a couple of months now and it’s been amazing. I love that while I’m on my laptop, I don’t have to find my phone to answer messages..Version: 1.24021.1

Good for sending, not for receivingThis app is great if you find it easier to reply to text messages on your computer, which I do. I would love for it to receive messages as well so I can do everything on my computer and not read messages on my phone and then reply on my computer. I don’t know if I haven’t set it up properly or what but this is how it’s working for me..Version: 1.23081.3

This has potential but it is so unreliableThis app has so so much potential and when it’s working it’s excellent. Unfortunately, it hardly ever works and you waste so much time getting it to reconnect, time after time! It is so frustrating because it is so glitchy and buggy if you guys could get this sorted out you’d have a really good app but right now it is not fit for purpose!.Version: 1.23081.3

It doesn’t work with iOSSpent two whole days trying just to pair… once paired the callers can’t hear you anyway. Pointless waste of time..Version: 1.24021.1

PC is paired with phone but Phone Link won’t connectI’ve given up after trying for up to 2 hrs, following all instructions available in the review, online, etc. Reset Bluetooth, restarted PC and phone, reinstalled app on PC and phone, nothing. Just the app stating «connecting» forever and nothing else. Very frustrating….Version: 1.23032.10

AverageI have lots of different phone numbers for one Business contact which I name on my iphone. However, when finding the contact on my PC all numbers that I have names are labels as ‘other’ and therefore I cannot see the name details. Intel Unison mirrors my phone contacts Exactly!! Please correct this..Version: 1.23032.10

Doesn’t show sms iMessages or callsThe only thing that works is app notifications but all other functionality SMS/iMessages and calls do not..Version: 1.23081.3

Doesn’t workMy phone used to connect fine via Bluetooth before it was updated to this. Now it just won’t connect no matter what I do. I click “pair” when it comes up on my phone, but it doesn’t do anything. For now, I’m unrolling from Windows Insider so I can pair my phone because it’s ridiculous..Version: 1.23032.10

Can’t give zero starsThis app is dead in the water, no updates for iOS in months, and Windows 11 app despite regular updates just cannot manage persistent stable connectivity to my iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.6 (barely a surprise due to app age) Microsoft just don’t care about Apple users enough to warrant putting any effort into this..Version: 1.23032.10

Need more workIt is good that we have something like that. But it needs to be upgraded to be better. Firstly, make it that you are able to see previous messages without being connected to the iPhone. Secondly, connect it by wifi not bluetooth. Make an account on phone link that connects the laptop to the phone directly just of wifi through the account. This way you don’t need to have you phone close to you. Thirdly, being able to send videos and photos using phone link. Try to connect it to ICloud Photos so that you are able to do that. Over all good product but need work 👍..Version: 1.23081.3

PhoneLink ReviewI love that I am able to connect my phone to my laptop now. I have an iPhone , but I prefer HP or windows computer systems. It really makes everything more convenient to have access to everything in one place. A few things that I do not like about PhoneLink include the lack of ability to reply to group message from my computer , but still receiving the notifications for group messages. I also think (not sure) if someone sends messages containing images, images do not show up on the computer either. I’ve also experienced a few issues with connectivity and the app glitching to where it has trouble starting upon turning my computer on, and connecting to my phone..Version: 1.23081.3

Hilarious. Drops call again and again and again!Disappointed! Microsoft should be sued for wasting people’s time..Version: 1.23032.10

Messenger updateIt needs access to past messages and group chats.Version: 1.23032.10

It’s good but needs fixingI have an iPhone, and so far everything on the app is satisfactory and I’m happy with it to be honest. But whenever I connect earphones or Bluetooth headphones to my computer and attempt to make a call, it glitches and call goes back to my phone? I am not sure If this is an error or it does not work this way or if it is just me but please consider fixing. Thanks.Version: 1.23081.3

It’s OK, but less than I hoped it would be.It’s OK, but less than I hoped it would be. It has far less functionality than I get with the iCloud web interface except that iCloud doesn’t allow uses to send and receive messages. So, if all you want or expect is simple messaging (SMS, not iMessage) through your iPhone using your windows 11 PC, it works great. If you want the ability to send links and photos and videos in your messages, you will be dissatisfied. Microsoft Phone Link doesn’t interface with your photos, calendar, etc. like the iCloud web interface does. Phone Link does allow your to make and receive calls through your PC, but it’s not easier than simply sing your phone..Version: 1.23081.3

Dump trashIt just doesn’t work , cost 15minutes still cannot connect, without any information.Version: 1.23031.1

It’s OK, but sure could use some improvement.I’m unable to get my Bluetooth headphones to have audio come from my phone through the computer. And I can’t seem to find any answers on why that is. Everything else seems to work OK. Sometimes my messages will not sync. The message shows up on the left panel but we’re not showing the right panel so that I can read all the message and answer it. But the biggest problem is is that the phone audio doesn’t come through the app. Even if I have the phone audio set to the computer, I wish there was an article on this or something to do with it..Version: 1.23081.3

App is woefulI tried this as I was having problems transferring photos to my computer with cable. My Asus laptop said the phone was connected to the IPhone but the app didn’t agree. Kept trying to connect. This app is rubbish. Waste of time..Version: 1.24021.1

Won’t workGarbage app won’t even connect to my Bluetooth or the QR code.Version: 1.23032.10

I’m disappointed.I was hoping l can play videos, music and photos l had saved on my computer to my phone but unfortunately you just can’t. While notifications on my computer are nice, it’s not what l linked my phone for. Extremely disappointing..Version: 1.23032.10

Can’t connect after scan the code when paring. This is officially supported iPhone?.Version: 1.23032.10

Very buggyBut works after a bit of troubleshooting.Version: 1.23032.10

Phone Link is a poor first attemptIf I have been away from my desk and I then return It’s stores up notifications so that long after I got the notification on my phone the computer then tells me again. When I get a call on Microsoft Teams I end up with double notifications. One from the regular teams app and another from phone link. Super annoying. The phone link notification appears on top of the teams app notification and if you accidentally click it you end up running teams on your phone. It doesn’t let me uninstall it..Version: 1.23032.10

Phone Un-LinkThe low rating this app has received here is justified. I’ve already connected my phone and enabled the required settings but Phone Link keeps prompting me to enable them. Amazing… with all the resources they have, they develop a junk like this!.Version: 1.23081.3

It’s ok 5/10It works and it’s nice but there are some clear issues. 1) I don’t always get texts come through. I noticed text in quick succession don’t come through. 2) no pictures or gifs can be sent through. 3) sometimes notifications don’t come through. It’s probably because it’s connected through Bluetooth. The point is it’s not as seamless and using a mac is. And There’s nothing wrong with that because I’m surprised this is an option in the first place but it clearly needs some work still..Version: 1.23081.3

A lot of flaws stillCan send message but not see them, can call others but not able to pick up calls. Pretty useless app then, feels like your communicating to a brick wall..Version: 1.24021.1

Not ready.Great concept, and something many of us have been wanting for a long time, but it’s not ready. As others have said, there are still too many bugs to be truly functional. Can send messages (one at a time; no group messages) through my computer but only receive replies on my iPhone. The messages I send once are sometimes received by the recipient multiple times. Very limited in overall capability. Will be deleting for now and trying again in the future to see if improvements have been made..Version: 1.23081.3

RubbishUsing the PC app and iPhone app I couldn’t get the two to pair. Managed to pair them without assistance from the apps, but then the apps wouldn’t recognise that the two devices were paired so wouldn’t move on from that first step. Tried multiple times but given up. Deleted the app from my phone..Version: 1.23081.3

Bad Experience with itI installed and proceeded to link my iphone 14. Both phone and computer linked on bluetooth. I tested it by making a call and responding to an email. Worked as promised. THEN after about 20 minutes the troubles began. My computer began to beep and beephile and the screen began to blink. The only way to stop it was to disable the bluetooth. I chatte withe two Microsoft techs and we couldn’t find the problem. Now I am waiting for reinstall of Windows 11 to try to fix the problem. Hope it works so I can use my bluetooth device. Question is if the app caused this problem and if so why..Version: 1.23032.10

One of the worst apps ever madeI read the reviews, tried it anyway, and can now confirm that it is even worse than the other reviews say. As another reviewer pointed out, the two richest tech companies in the world and yet in 2023 this is what they choose to publish - incredible..Version: 1.23032.10

LinkNot learned how to use it, technology is hard work these days.Version: 1.24021.1

Needs improvementGlad to finally see some iPhone support but it’s far too limited in what it can do on iPhones, though this may be down to Apple not being prepared to open up their systems to talk to Microsoft. I was really hoping to be able to text using the real keyboard in my laptop and this does work but it only syncs some messages so not really usable yet. So either this app needs some work or if the restrictions are down to Apple then all we can do is hope that they eventually play ball..Version: 1.23081.3

Not able to send messagesNot able to send messages for some contacts. I don’t know what the reason is. I can see the contact and type a message but can’t deliver it from the desktop app. I can send a message to the same contact from my phone. Also this app is very limited. I would like to see a lot more functions available. It would be great if I can download pictures etc. Being able to message from my pc is nice but it does not work for all contacts so very limited use and at this point of release of the app is a little bit a waist of effort and time for the user..Version: 1.23081.3

Good but could be betterI like the features offered by this software however, it doesn’t work consistently enough of the time. My desktop loses connection with my iPhone and the call is still going on so I have to go to the phone when that happens. Not all text messages or phone calls are on my screen, so it’s hard to follow up from there 100% of the time. Not sure if it’s a software issue on my desktop or the software itself but it does happen and that’s why I give this only three out of five stars..Version: 1.23081.3

UselessIf I could put -5 stars I would might aswell just delete the app from the App Store waste of space it is. Fix your app. Biggest company in the world and can’t create an app to connect it to a pc properly looks like you created this app in 10 seconds.Version: 1.23031.2

Doesn’t connectThe app has never connected to my computer despite the devices being next to each other and actually connected. I don’t think that app realises that the phone is actually connected and just says that it will connect when it is in range..Version: 1.23032.10

Couldn’t get it to work even onceI work in IT so I’m I know apps can be buggy sometimes but this is a mess this was advertised as a big feature in a windows update however I’ve tried this on multiple machines and no chance of working it just doesn’t connect. Meanwhile Intel has an app which does the same thing so long as you have an intel cpu in your desktop and it works flawlessly. If it’s not ready then don’t put it out Microsoft..Version: 1.23032.10

MehWorks to receive notifications but calling function does not, attempted reinstall repairing etc etc on both pc and iphone. App says your phone will connect when a paired pc is in range (it’s connected for notifications) and the app on windows says we weren’t able to connect to your mobile device but it works. Just the calling portion.Version: 1.23032.10

Doesn’t linkThe attempt to link to this pc buffers forever. Even after following all of the suggestions from websites..Version: 1.23032.10

Not Available for iPhonesYou cannot connect your iPhone to your Windows computer with this app..Version: 1.23032.10

Works …. Sometimes. Sort Of.I mostly useful link to be able to copy and paste information from my computer into my messaging system. The synchronization between the phone and the computer is sketchy at best. Often times even though messages I send can be seen on the computer, messages received, do not show up at all except on the phone. so utilizing this app and its present version for reliable communication is not recommended. To use it as a dialer and or a way insert information from your PC is all you can help for at this point. Present version does not allow sending graphics. Nor does it handle group messaging. Well, it instead will split every part of the group into an individual message..Version: 1.23081.3

Poor connection with iphoneTook multiple attempts to connect, eventually connected then notifications don't work anyway..Version: 1.23081.3

Delay in connectionI have experienced delays when making a call through Phone Link and bad call quality for the person I called. I had to stop using it although I though the app was a great idea that all calls can be made directly from my PC. Hopefully it improves over time..Version: 1.23081.3

Good but still have some issuesI tried to connect my iPhone to this app a very long time ago and I have issues of the phone and laptop can’t find each other even though they are connected with Bluetooth. I decided to try to connect again by forgetting 2 devices and reconnect to each other. It works. I have used it for a day and I found it useful, since I can receive notifications and messages on my laptop now. But there’s one thing this app need to add is there are still no group messages. The notifications is there but the message dialogue doesn’t appear group messages. Hope Microsoft will add this in the near future..Version: 1.23081.3

Microsoft QualityWhy does it seem like almost everything Microsoft pumped out within the last 5 years is hot garbage? It never works as intended, feedback feels like it’s never looked at, instead of fixing what they already have they will just re-release the same software again with a different/similar name that might work slightly better in another few years. As for Phone Link it works when it wants to, half the time you can interact with your notifications. You want to send a text message via pc? Eh the software can’t do that right now, send Microsoft feedback that they won’t look at. Awaiting a phonecall? Sorry randomly disconnected 20 minutes ago and didn’t try to re connect. At least the interface is easy to understand..Version: 1.24021.1

Pretty basic for iPhoneIt’s good that you can type a SMS in laptop. But there is no management options of texts, calls or contacts available..Version: 1.24021.1

Improved but still some way to goThe app is a lot more stable than it was a mere 3 months ago, when it was plagued with random disconnects and sluggishness. It has gone from “ugh” to something I use regularly. It would benefit from being able to join mid conversation (eg if I’m on phone then go back to desktop continue what I was doing from desktop), as well as temporary muting or grouping of message sources (eg when my lawn maintenance comes there are a hundred messages from the camera that “there is motion”).Version: 1.24021.1

Waste of timeHalf the time it does not connect or send. Then when you walk close to your computer on the phone it cuts off your call. Deleted the app..Version: 1.23081.3

Sometimes works, often doesn’tWorked for a while, then stopped and started working again. Now it doesn’t work at all, won’t pair/connect. It’s pretty useless anyway, basically just sends you notifications from emails, texts, what’s app etc, phone and laptop already so this anyway..Version: 1.23081.3

Great idea, phone calling barely worksI understand this probably will be fixed and that this is only in early days, but phone calling in windows bugs out consistently for me. Shame because this is such an app with lots of potential!.Version: 1.23032.10

LaptopWorks on Messages but not on Calls.Version: 1.24021.1

Really buggyWhen it actually works it does so quite well, but most of the time the connection has been really unstable. The Phone Link app on PC randomly crashes out of nowhere (message pops up saying Microsoft Phone Link has stopped working), battery status is sometimes unavailable, app names in the notifications don’t show up properly and worst of all, despite the app saying connected it also says “we weren’t able to connect to your phone”, and the only way to fix this is to unpair and pair again. And sometimes that doesn’t even work, since the app will simply say “we couldn’t connect to your phone, please reset Phone Link”. Phone Link has potential but it’s really buggy in its current state. Please fix these issues..Version: 1.23032.10

Phone Link is good for what it does. Disappointing for omissions and conflicts. For simple text message Phone Link is helpful. However the inability to handle group texts (even with just two recipients) is frustrating. Many messages are not received by the PC if the phone is not connected when they arrive limiting context. It would also be nice to see better handling of attachments. Phobe Link also creates conflicts with AirPods as the phone connects (via Bluetooth) to the computer instead of the headphones. Other BT headphones work better..Version: 1.24012.4

Not functional (at the moment)In its current state, it simply doesn’t work. Yes, I have the Windows Insider Program, it just won’t connect. Despite this however, if they can fix it I feel this app has the potential to become really useful, as long as they make it so that: a) The phone connects automatically when in range so I don’t have to connect it manually each time b) I can use multiple computers with the same phone Without those two things (especially the first) it feels like there is no point and I might as well use my phone..Version: 1.23032.10

Windows Link has communication with a device.Consideration for the update is given..Version: 1.24012.4

Doesn’t workWindows 11, Dec 23 update loaded, iOS 17.2. I can’t get past the point where it pairs them on Bluetooth. Yep, they’re paired. Then what? Nothing else happens!.Version: 1.23081.3

UselessThere is no point in downloading this app. What is the point on developing this app if it doesn’t allow you to link iPhones to windows 🤦‍♂️.Version: 1.23032.10

Needs update! After scanning the code, it’s stuck on the loading screen. I’ve tried the method you guys recommending to others reviewers..Version: 1.23032.10

Simply Won’t ConnectGets perpetually stuck at Connecting step. Followed every official and suggested troubleshooting steps to no successful end. Microsoft, if you’re listening, I’m using latest Windows 11 and iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 16.5. Based on other reviewers’ comment, this is definitely not an individual case. Please either fix it or just pull iPhone support from your app if you don’t really do that..Version: 1.23032.10

Connecting an iPhone to a Windows Computer is an unsupported Feature of windowsSimply put, any attempt to connect will result in an error. There has been no attempt by Microsoft, it seems, to fix the problem. This app shouldn’t even exist..Version: 1.23032.10

HopefulI think this is a good start and it got me pretty excited since before I couldn’t sync anything from my phone to my microsoft laptop! I like how it shows my notifications from other apps. I also enjoy the mimic of imessage where it allows gifs, emojis and even emoticons. As people have mentioned, the conversation will not sync if you switch to text on your phone. There are also delays with messages coming in from imessage and to start a conversation I have to type in the designated phone number instead of the contact name which is inconvenient. However, the app does warn you it can’t sync message history and any messages from your phone. This the best app that’s worked so far for getting notifications on my laptop from my phone and at least I can text a little! I hope they will add a feature where we can change the theme of the chat and make kt more colorful! I hope it will continue to be worked on and improved : ).Version: 1.24021.1

Doesn't work for CanadiansBottom of the barrel service for Canadians yet again....Version: 1.23032.10

I applaud MSFT for attempting this, but really badOne star for the concept. Look, I understand it’s only in Beta. I’m signed up as an insider and providing feedback. But it basically never works so I’m giving up until it’s “real.” Constantly unpairs PC from iPhone. And then basically need to uninstall and reinstall apps on phone and PC and start whole process of turning on and off Bluetooth on both sides, rediscovering devices, reattempting pairing, and so on in a frustrating loop. Meanwhile, the app on the PC almost always freezes before messages and calls appear once paired. And then I get a “disconnected” with a refresh symbol. When I click on refresh, whole set of the above listed problems just starts again. I know MSFT wants users to help debug this noble effort, but I don’t have hours in a day to do so.Version: 1.23032.10

Works most of the timeWhen the connection is there, having a view on the phone’s messages and calls is useful though the history of the messages is missing. It’s not a patch on Apple’s integration between Mac and iPhone. I really hope feature parity is reached soon, so I will keep using it..Version: 1.23081.3

UselessNot working for windows 10 laptop!.Version: 1.23031.2

Needs Link SharingFor those not using Edge, app should support sending links to and from the default browser on phone or PC..Version: 1.24021.1

Let iOS 12+ add their phonesA lot of people have phones running of iOS 12+ and I am one of them, I would love to link my phone with the PC app but I can’t.Version: 1.23032.10

Doesn’t workThis app needs work. I have been stuck on the connecting screen for half an hour..Version: 1.23032.10

Help meI need help. I’ve been trying to pair for ages. I even connected them to the same network! Please help me. All the apps are updated and I’m using an iOS 16.5.Version: 1.23032.10

Apps not workSame issue as others, try to pair the device with Bluetooth and forever scanning. Developer please look into the issue, but not asking us to get the latest version..Version: 1.23032.10

No connectivityUnable to make calls from my app as the Bluetooth won’t connect to my iPhone no matter what I do so renders the app useless. Tried the advice given but still unable to make calls as it states an app may be disrupting the BT….Version: 1.24021.1
