Having come back recently, this app has helped me understand, envision, and truly appreciate the stories in the Bible. To my surprise and sheer delight I discovered that close captioning for hearing impaired persons is now fully functional even after connecting with Apple Airplay. I was always hesitant to watch this content on my smart TV because my husband is almost deaf and he could not hear the content but could only watch. The realities of the disciples lives and their relationships with Jesus many times puts me ‘right there with them’. I have to remind myself often ‘which side’ of the cross THEY are on and which side I am on. Right now I am fascinated by how I am endeared to Judas just as the disciples are. As we ALL get closer to the cross, from their perspective and for us this side of the cross, I believe ALL of us are going to see new things as we ALL look at that horrific scene through the disciples eyes. It is insanely annoying to have to flip the iPad to pick an episode and then flip it back when it starts to play. I know, first world problems but it seems like it would be an easy thing to program in. Please work on adding this. Also, I would love to see the app available for the Xfinity X1 platform or even Chromecast or Roku. As for the show it is amazing!! ✓ An agnostic viewSo… where to start? I’ve seen many shows in my 28 years on this Earth, but I’ve never seen such a well done show from an independent company. In fact, I’ve never cared for indie films. However, The Chosen has made me cry so damn much it’s ridiculous. I am agnostic, but this show got me to go to church for the first in over a decade. It got me to read the Bible (albeit a comic book adaptation… but still). The walking on water scene was by far the most powerful thing in the show… I am so grateful for this show. ✓ The Best Jesus show I have ever seen!I have seen many movies about Jesus since I was a child and this show has really been live-given! My 14-year-old loves it and has been impacted by it. It allows us to see Jesus and His disciples as real people and not just characters from the Bible that we have no connection to. Although the show’s intent is not to follow exact stories found in the Gospels, they do allow us to see the Bible characters as real. That they did live real lives that the Bible did not capture. There is one small problem and it’s with the latest upgrade. It’s not working properly on iOS now and I’m not sure why. I can still hear the programs but sometimes the visual disappears, or the program “locks” up where does not respond to pausing, fast forwarding or backing up. I only hope it’s not related to something the operating system on our devices are causing. If the problems continue I may have to switch to something other than iOS to see if it works better on another operating system. ✓ Wonderful RepresentationI really have grown to love this show. My wife and son watched it right after the first season with the other conformation students at our church. I didn’t start watching until probably about half way through Season 2, and I’ve been hooked since then. I have watched The Shepard and The Messengers, loved them. I have also watched the Gen Z reaction video and was blown away by their views and reactions to the show. This show really is made for everyone and of all ages. I’m so excited for more people to get hooked to it and maybe even start donating through the come and see foundation so we as a community can see all 7 seasons that Dallas has planned for us. I also really would like to see the interest get so unbelievable that Dallas starts working on Acts and even some Old Testament like Moses and Noah. ✓ Amazing Portrayal!I love all the content on this app but Angel Studio’s The Chosen is a fictional show depicting how the actual Biblical account “could” have happened. It is not meant to replace the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. Kind of like a show or book about an incident in history. It’s meant to help the watcher or reader to get a feel for what life would have been like then and what the characters might have been like. We know the apostles were human. Simon Peter WAS married. They were not angels or supernatural but sometimes we get the idea they were. I don’t watch as a replacement for Gods Word. I watch because it gives me a better historical understanding of what life was like as a believer in the first century. I think The Chosen does a beautiful job of that..Version: 1.3.1

Unfortunately for both my husband and I, the apple keeps crashing while casting to our Chromecast device. It works as long as we don’t touch our phones while it’s playing. ✓ Content is God inspiredYes, the content without question, is God inspired. It’s the app that has some technical issues for users. When added through third party Roku, Firestick etc. to your tv, there are issues with maintaining your ‘spot’ when exiting. So you can’t resume where you left off. There’s no closed-captioning on the tv app either. The app for the phone is great, closed - captioning and ability to resume if interrupted works fine. It’s just the app installed in tv that’s has a few glitches. Any newer version smart tv has an amazing picture quality also. It brings what has been missing from previous attempts to portray Jesus and His disciples, the humanity. These disciples are not one dimensional characters but humans with all their flaws and weaknesses which makes them even more relatable and relevant. Jesus was funny?
