✓ Why don't I see more about this app on the web?As an art and design teacher in a school in the UK with a 1-1 iPad scheme I have been trying out many photo editing apps over the past 2 years. None have really left me feeling that the iPad can fully compete with the usual suspects on PC / Mac software. I am a Lighthroom user and so are many of my photography students. But that is when they are in school on our dedicated suite of computers. At last I think I have found an iPad replacement for homeworks and idea development as well as high quality outcomes. This is such a powerful app and although £2.99 is by far the easiest to use and user friendly editing app I have used. Thank you. Your video tutorials and range of possibilities the app functionality provide break down all the barriers other apps have. Other improvements would be to be able to save to Flickr and the like and perhaps develop your one cloud service or social networking platform.Fantastic app and well worth the price..Version: 1.4

✓ My most used app!I have been using Leonardo for 3 or so years; It's the closest thing to Photoshop I have found; I recommend completely. However, this app either needs to connect the app sandbox to iCloud, or give us a way to Airport them out. I strongly dislike how your sandbox works, where our projects are held to work on. Sure, I can backup to iTunes, but only in a format which cannot be edited inside Leonardo. I had to reinstall iOS, and I lost some images I was working on because I forgot to upload to iTunes. My fault, but it surely would like to have an easier way to save. I suspect I know why you don’t, and it’s probably a lot of work, but I’d pay more for an app with a better way to save photos. NONETHELESS, this is a fantastic app!.Version: 2.1

✓ Best photo editing app by far!I have a variety of editing apps on my phone including Lightroom, but Leonardo is far more powerful and does a lot of things you can do in the desktop version of Photoshop. ✓ Brilliant App, easy to use and has its own video tutorials.Leonardo is a brilliant photo editing app with a lot of powerful and useful editing tools including masks and layers. For such a powerful editing app it is surprisingly simple and easy to use. There are even Instructions, FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and Video Tutorials in the app to help you, answer questions and show you how to do different things. The video tutorials will give you an idea of what you can do and ideas for what you may want to do at a later time. The design interface may not be to everyone's taste but that's not what is important to me. I don't care about the design of an app, I care about what the app can do, how well it works and how easy it is to use. Personally I like the design and layout of Leonardo, It's clean and uncluttered and user friendly. I've been using Leonardo for years and although I like to try other new apps that are similar, Leonardo is STILL the main app that I use and keep using on a regular basis. It is my number one app and my go to app. Other apps may do similar things but I haven't yet found any that do as much, plus explain as much in a way that is uncomplicated and easy to understand and that are as powerful and as easy to use. If you want a powerful and useful photo editing app that is easy to use and has Instructions, FAQ and video tutorials built into the app... you've just found it in Leonardo. Buy... Create... ✓ Exceptional powerful tool.I am surprised that amongst the sea of confusion, mediocrity & irritating free but 'in app purchase able' apps in the photography department of the App Store this diamond of an app has not one comment! So, after purchasing it about a month ago, i'm here to tell you it has become an essential part of my workflow & a joy to use. This is no gimmick or toy, there is a learning curve & I am still familiarising myself with its functionality and capabilities aided by crisp, clear you tube instruction videos seamlessly accessible from within the app architecture. The designer has on the couple of occasions, early in my use, when I e-mailed moaning about this or that ( only to realise sheepishly later that it was my idiocy to blame) replied almost instantly with gracious, patient help. So an attentive, responsive designer to boot... It seems to me that this app is something of a bargain, to say the least. I should say I chose the app after checking out as many review sources on the net as I could and have not used any of the other photo-editors, but would be surprised if there was a superior tool available. A less heavy, more stylish icon would sell it more too. ✓ Almost PS Touch!!Unfortunately Adobe discontinued PS Touch for the iPad. However, after searching hundreds of photo editing apps, Leonardo comes closest to replacing PS Touch. This app has a tool selection for editing photos far better than most all other apps in the App Store. Leonardo is far more intuitive and diverse than the competition. I would give it 5 stars vs 4 if they updated it more frequently. There are areas that could use tweaking and new features added. ✓ Good appThe dropped shadow is ok on Leonardo, but I'd like to have the option of moving it and placing it anywhere I want without limitation. On your other app, Superimpose, you placed the shadow tab at the output. It should have been placed with the other tools in the edit panels. Also, the 'shadow' function does not allow me to zoom in on the image to get an up-close view of the shadow for better tuning. Overall, Superimpose is better on 'shadow' functionality in that it can be placed anywhere. On Leonardo, the manual 'masking' brush tends to be a lot slower than that if Superimpose. ✓ Giving this a tryAlright, had this app for a few days now and I really love it. Bit skeptical about the price though,I mean it's a bit much considering the price of the original superimpose {Also angry that I brought Superimpose for £2 but it's now only 79p!!} One thing I'd say is that I'd like it if you'd add the eraser tool in the masking section, like the one you have in Superimpose. Leonardo lacks that eraser as far as I know, and it's been a major setback for me. Five stars if you add that. Oh! It's got nearly everything any serious mobile photog would need to do in- depth editing of images, and the quality is very high. Well worth the purchase. My only complaints are that there is little help in the way of tutorials for some of the functions- it's assumed that one knows the basics already. And my second comment is that it seems that when opening a filter or something, some of the sliders are not responsive to being 'grabbed' when at either zero or 100%. It has clone brush, lighten, darken, etc, but it really NEEDS: a blend brush, a color picker brush, a sharpen brush, a soften brush. ✓ Fab!Superimpose and Leonardo are two great apps that are a must if you want to edit effectively on a device such as an iPhone or tablet! I asked them if superimpose could be downloaded for free as I had it before and I couldn't add funds to my account as of then and I was given a code! Seriously that was soo kind of them to do that! I couldn't write a review with a code brought app so after getting a £15 iTunes voucher for Christmas I decided a good idea was to buy this app and give back to the kind person who made it and I really wasn't disappointed! The only flaws I can point out are that the design of the interface seems slightly out-dated like an iOS6 type of look...sure it's not a problem that's effecting the ability to edit but it would really be nice if it looked a bit more flat-design/modern? Like Superimpose does. Maybe the ability to add a stroke around a mask would be cool. I'm not sure if that feature is available though! Still, all that being said: Fab app 5 Stars! ✓ Best appI’ve used this app for years for multiple sports accounts on Instagram and have had work reposted by NFL and NBA players and teams. This app is easily the best editing app on the App Store and way better than SuperImposeX, so I just wish they would focus on this app more. I used this app on an IPhone 6s for almost 3 years and had no problems, but when I updated to an IPhone XS the screen gets all blurry when you’re using the app. This app is amazing so I just wish they would fix this! They haven’t updated it in over a year so maybe it just doesn’t work with this type of phone, but I really wish they would fix this bug so I could get back to using it the way I used to. Two wishes and one heads up: I wish you could control saturation levels by color in an absolute manner – for example, allowing us to pull back some of the yellows without increasing the blues. Second, there does not appear to be a healing tool. Finally a heads up: go into your settings before you do anything and change your resolution to Very High, or you will do all your work on a picture only to find that it is been saved in a low res. form. ✓ Bugs and UpdatesOverall the app use it all the time, but there are a few things I would change. Like, when I get to certain amount of layers, I can’t add anymore. Then I can’t finish what I’m working on without a lot more work. One other issue is the layer merge. It was fine not too ago, now, when I try to merge two items, one just disappears! I really like this app, but these are two things I would really like to see changed. One thing I would like to improve is the cloning tool. If you zoom in all the way to work on a small area with the cloning tool, the picture just zooms out. ✓ Should be Included with every iPad!I'm giving a new review since Leonardo is now os10 savvy and I recently got a iPad mini 4. I mention the two items together because the mini 4 has replaced much older iPads I had and it has a far better camera than the older iPads... but though the camera is quite good, it's still far from perfect. This is where Leonardo comes in. It is the perfect complimentary app to quickly and drastically improve the iPad's photos. It works so perfectly/easily tweaking the iPad images that it could be considered the defacto photo app for this device. The quick results are so impressive that I am getting far better looking images than phones which include superior cameras. ✓ ExceptionalAmong all the photo editing apps this one, together with Snapseed, is an absolute must-have. It is absolutely brillant in its versatility and ease of use - you can plunge right in, it's incredibly intuitive. Also, this app has an impressive array of tools and filters and makes it one of the most complete editing apps I have seen and bought (and I have bought and tried dozens). For me this is the new Photoshop. From reading the description you don't get an idea of what power is hidden in it, I was really pleasantly surprised about the understatement. More often than not the packaging is shinier than the content, not in this case. This is only the third review I am writing after having bought hundreds of apps. ✓ Too fantastic to be freeIf you know Photoshop, you can do anything with this. That it's mobile is beyond amazing. I'm glad it's free, but can't figure why it is. It's that good. I use it every day on an iPad, and it's why I no longer bother with my desktop or laptop. The more you know, the more you'll get out of it. It's got layers, pro tools, effects, filters, press tools, and an astoundingly small footprint. My biggest fear is that a big competitor will buy and bury it like they've done with so many innovative apps they couldn't beat. ✓ Great app!This is a great app with a lot of features and much potential. The same people created the brilliant app "Superimpose", which is a 'must-have' app if you are serious about iPad graphics. It's not an obvious workflow so you do need to study it a bit to understand the various tool-sets but it will pay off in the end. The developer is super-friendly and replies to emails of praise or problems :) I was lucky enough to Beta-test this and I'm sure there will be more updates and changes to features along the way. Like all art apps the price is so much cheaper than their desktop equivalents so this is worth trying. I've deleted plenty of good apps that just didn't work well for me. It costs less than a coffee at St****cks so there's not much to lose!.Version: 1.0
✓ Best for real PS usersThere isn't a photo editing app on iOS that anyone who really understands photo processing and re-touching will be remotely satisfied by. Even on desktop PS is the only functional app for anyone who knows their stuff (see Guy Gowan's web site if you disagree). Leonardo isn't going to win any design awards, but among the many apps I've tried it gives the most comprehensive access to serious tools and has a usable interface.
