OWA for iPad for Negative User Reviews

Can't drag and drop email into a folderThe app is fine, but it isn't better than what Apple offers. Moving emails into folders takes a swipe, button, swipe to select folder then button to put in the selected folder. Would be easier to drag and drop..Version: 1.0.7

Fix the PROBLEMSI need OWA to work on my email while traveling. But now it won't open email. I get an error messages saying App is downloading? Pathetic. I'm moving to Gmail..Version: 1.0.12

Neal is correct re: Exchange & MoreI went from love to hate of this app and one other person indicated it needs Enterprise support. The times I've called in to MSFT and asked a question on OWA, the best I received was agreement it exists. The calendar is simply non-existent. I say this due to the constant crashing. Lastly (but not complete) I'd rather not get into detail, but anyone on Exchange should take a look at various sets of contacts and links. I wish they'd fix OWA and get rid of the Outlook App and that App does not belong on an iPhone. iPad yes, the Apple Native App is way better with Exchange and if a CalDev is deployed, all the better..Version: 1.0.12

Works but glitchyWorks ok, updates slowly, if you write a draft and swipe it to the right, it gone. Not ideal.Version: 1.0.12

Awful application. This use to be a pretty useful app, however, the latest version is just awful. Very slow, difficult to place your prompt to edit an email and crashes very often only saving a fraction of the email you're working on to the draft folder..Version: 1.0.12

Messages Feel Like A ChoreSending messages have turned into a a very anxiety provoking effort since my workplace integrated this program. If there is an attachment that comes with a message I receive when I choose to open it in a view mode it seems to open somewhere else (where I don't know). There have also been times that I've tried to send a message but can't determine if it's been sent without going to the sent box..Version: 1.0.12

Try againIt's slow. It's clunky. It wants constant refreshes and updates. It can't check mail on its own, needs you to hold its hand. Seriously, I know you can do better. This is not ready for prime time, and not worthy of your company name. Go back and fix it please..Version: 1.0.6

Not great on iPadWhile it is somewhat more convenient as an app, the functionality still needs work. I struggle with the email because the icons are not really intuitive. But it's not surprising that MS products are not Apple friendly..Version: 1.0.8

SynchroLa synchronisation avec la plateforme est défaillante régulièrement ou unidirectionnelle..Version: 1.0.12

A Good StartThe app has such a high latency time. Keyboard interface hangs too often. 20% of the time the app quits in mid-load. You truly need to work on stabilizing the touchscreen keyboard interface. It seems to be better when I use my Bluetooth keyboard; however that option is not always available..Version: 1.0.10

App always downThis app has more downtime than working time. It's has been offline for a week now and no fix has been issued..Version: 1.0.12

Pourquoi rendre l'abonnement à Office 365 obligatoire?!Très décue de ne pas pour utiliser l'application Microsoft pour gérer mon courriel! L'abonnement à Office 365 est obligatoire. Très décevant..Version: 1.0

Deleted app then seems okAfter update, I had same issues as others are describing (having trouble connecting). I deleted the app and re-downloaded it. Seems to be working mostly ok now. But what is going on with the reminders? When I open the app, I get every reminder that happened since I last opened the app. I have dismissed these reminders on my laptop so why am I getting them again. Very annoying..Version: 1.0.12

Keeps disconnectingI need to use this email for university and since the last update I have not been receiving any emails. It keeps disconnecting. This is incredibly frustrating because this is the only way teachers communicate with students..Version: 1.0.12

SlowTakes forever to log in, have to delete each message individually, and do it again from trash folder..Version: 1.0.12

Can’t ConnectLoved this app until a few weeks ago it said it is no longer supported for iPad. Please fix..Version: 1.0.12

Missing key featuresThis app lets me read my mail. However, I haven't figured out how to archive read mail, which is a huge negative. Mail that I know I will need to refer to in the future needs to sit in my inbox, meaning my inbox is very cluttered. Additionally, I cannot figure out how to get a little number next to the app's icon to alert me when I have mail. If those things were added, this app would be much more functional for me..Version: 1.0.12

Shared calendars not working in OWA for iPadShared calendars work in the version for the iPhone, but not the version for the iPad. They don’t make particularly good use of the iPad form factor, and still require you to go to the three-button “home page” to switch between viewing the calendar, the mail, or contacts. I wish I could install OWA for iPhone instead of this junk..Version: 1.0.12

Current issues with an internal updateI use this for my business emails and have had no problems for 2 years. Unfortunately it is now unusable because of an internal update that has stopped the app from working properly. Even uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t help. A great pity. Many people have reported the problem but I’ve not been able to find any comment from Microsoft on what they are doing to sort it out..Version: 1.0.12

Stick with native iOS appThis app looks really nice, but doesn't work how you expect an iOS app to work - e.g. you have to press a specific 'view' button (which is a pair of glasses) somewhere at the bottom if the page, rather than simply swiping across the panels as you'd expect. It also feels more laggy than the native app..Version: 1.0.4

Owa appLove the email and ease of use, but hate that the platform does not interface with the rest of office 365 in terms of apps. Why can't I upload video from my iPad easily, or access one drive from Owa?.Version: 1.0.12

Truly awful! The layout is horrible, column widths are impossible to change, very unintuitive. I wish my employer offered a different option.Version: 1.0.12

Unloved by Microsoft but does the job for Exchange Shared MailboxesMy workplace has on-premises Exchange and I need to monitor a shared mailbox. Microsoft have made it clear that Outlook on iOS will not support shared mailboxes on Exchange, so I’m thankful OWA remains available for iPad at least..Version: 1.0.12

Good but glitchyI enjoy the app, especially that it shows the color categorizations unlike the other outlook app. There are glitches that really hinder it's use though. First, whenever I try to view my weekly view, it appears then immediately cuts out. When I switch to another view and back, it appears for an instant then is gone once again. Secondly, in split view, the icons at the bottom of the screen do not compress correctly, instead they pile on top of each other or are not even on the screen. When I am switching between calendar and mail in split view, the entire half of the screen is missing as well and I am unable to select my mail category without making the app full screen. If this is to be used consistently then these things really need to be changed..Version: 1.0.12

Really slowThe app is incredibly slow to do anything, opening an email, composing an email, often having to wait for the typing to catch up. I would put this account back on my apple mail but I want to keep my work email seperate and the calendar. Using an iPad mini. Hopefully receive my iPhone 6 plus next week and hoping the lag is helped by the new hardware, which is ridiculous if it doesn't work how it should on my iPad mini which is only two years old..Version: 1.0.7

Don't download this appGuys, you can just go to outlook.com and add it to the home screen. Easier and more simple..Version: 1.0.12

FrustratingI had high hopes for using this App but alas it didn't meet my expectations. The UI and functionality of the app is fine with the exception of one fatal flaw. There seems to be no way - that I can find on my iPad Pro - to save an email as a draft while in the compose screen. The compose screen has a close button that deletes the email without saving it or asking whether I want to delete it. I have already lost two long emails and this has turned me off this app for good..Version: 1.0.12

Lots of problemsI have had this app for a couple of years on my ipad and updated and recently reinstalled it. It still doesn't work right. It never gives me notifications of new messages and often (almost always lately) doesn't show my new messages at all. It also gives me no option for re entering my password to correct this and let me enter the acct. I have to use it for my work, but at this point, I'm not sure what to do. Its pretty useless..Version: 1.0.12

Endless updateSince late 2017, does not work at all on multiple devices. Claims to be downloading app update, which never completes. In the meantime, email messages cannot be viewed, and calendar events are not visible. Even if Outlook is the new app, the OWA was the only way to access shared calendars! There is a lot of feedback in the app built-in system to this effect, but it does not look like anyone from MS is paying attention..Version: 1.0.12

This is a terrible appI have to use this for work on my personal iPad because my company wont allow me to connect directly to exchange. This is not fit for purpose. all too frequently I go into my calendar to find it blank and have to change back and forth between day/week/month view before the calendar items will appear. when using an external keyboard it frequently lose focus while typing and i lose the last few words i typed. the display corrupts regularly too. very disappointing.Version: 1.0.12

Keeps crashingIt worked ok and then I updated the iPad IOS on the recommendation of my works IT dept and it hasn't worked since. It won't even open. I even reloaded it, cold started the iPad and it just won't open. I'll have to keep using the web version..Version: 1.0.12

No notifications. All my setting say notifications are available but I still get 0 notifications.Version: 1.0.12

MehNo notifications. Clunky..Version: 1.0.12

BugsMany bugs. Why it usually doesn't show notifications of new email? And when I want to write a review, if my nickname was chosen already, why don't you tell me about this right at the start instead of waiting until I finished composed, which of course mean that I have to type the review again???.Version: 1.0.12

Needs to support Outlook Web Access for Enterprise Exchange customersIt appears that this app does not work with Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access capabilities for Enterprise Exchange server companies who have paid big money to Microsoft to use our own Exchange infrastructure. This is not acceptable. Please add support for Exchange server users. Browser based Outlook Web Access is functional but Microsoft should respect paying customers by enabling this app to work with OWA functionality..Version: 1.0.12

Great when it works...This would be great if it worked more often, sometimes it does not update emails for days, and the navigation is too stripped down to find things beyond the very obvious..Version: 1.0.12

Windows 8 or iOS?I'm not sure why the OWA developers want to create an app for iOS that doesn't work like an iOS app. It uses non-standard menus for things like adding a calendar event, which sometimes don't work properly. Font size can't be changed, which leaves you with the default Windows 8 fonts that are both way too large and way too small in certain places. Functionality, not appearance, should be the focus. Currently, it fails in this respect. On a technical note, you cannot search the calendar, which is a significant issue for me. The inclusion of the "All, flagged, To me" filters at the top of email inboxes is useless, and far too large. Hide filters in a menu, as apple mail does for those that use these features..Version: 1.0.12

App frozen after ios updateThis app has worked well for a few years, but since updating my iPad system 3 days ago it gets frozen on the “passcode required” page. Can't click on the link to continue. Deleting and reinstalling app doesn't help. Hoping this can be fixed asap..Version: 1.0.12

Does not work for meI need to connect via an sso domain. This App does not seem able to handle that at the present time..Version: 1.0.4

OWA -kAs an app version it is good but would be superb if you had some of the features of the pc version of MS office email, e.g. Being able to view emails in collapsed folders, time delay options..., etc.Version: 1.0.12

The bane of my existence :(It's painfully slow, it crashes all the time, and it isn't even a well-designed app in the first place. I try my best to avoid using it, but unfortunately my work uses it so sometimes I can't avoid it :(.Version: 1.0.10

Like it needs some helpI am not able to link my calendar. I do like the program. It works well the areas that I am able to use.Version: 1.0.10

Is functional, but...I find that it has most of the functionalities except for one. Signing out. I have 2 corporate emails using outlook but I can seem to manage both through this app. It's quit frustrating because in order to do this, you need to uninstall then reinstall the app. Not that great but hopefully they'll implement this function..Version: 1.0.6

Terrible appIf I didn't need this for work I wouldn't even use it. I have had horrible problems all along but now, out of nowhere, I can't see the actual emails. I can see the side pane showing that I have new messages but they never load so I can read them..Version: 1.0.10

Nice except chokes on opening some URLsWorks nice and integrates well with OWA. Biggest problem I have found is that it seems to choke on some URLs, particularly those that are long, e.g. to an IronPort's list of impounded messages or a validation of a subscription to a WordPress site. It continues to choke on complex URL's that have redirection, e.g. Nuzzle. It also handles the whole permission to display in line URLs badly. Many times when checking to always allow displaying the URLs it invokes the web browser to go off to a site and even in these cases it does not remember that the link has already been clicked previously even though that is what it promises..Version: 1.0.12

WorksThe application works as advertised. However, I do admit to being a little confused: when I open the app, I am transferred to a website to log on. As such, I am of the mind the app is really just a webpage address. Yet, it works..Version: 1.0.12

CRAPPER THAN EVER BEFORENever used to be such a problem but it keeps crashing when I send and i am continuously having to delete the app and then re-download it, re-registaring, only for it to crash again after a few days! It does this both o; my iphone and in my ipad. Honestly, if i didnt have windows crap at work I would never look at it again! AVOID IT IF YOU CAN😡😤👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻.Version: 1.0.12

It used to be good but I can’t use it any moreIt used to work great but then Microsoft stopped supporting it and now just sends you to the online version of outlook..Version: 1.0.12

Functional but frustratingOverall, the tool is functional. You can get the job done. However, the UI and especially workflow or transitions are cumbersome, and some things counter intuitive. Should be easier to use, and have better button/menu placement. Made to be minimalist with little icons, but not my favorite..Version: 1.0.12

Used to work greatAt some point an update was made that brought back a previous bug that I had been experiencing. For some reason, when I open the app it will notify me of all my calendar appointments since the last time I opened it, which could be a week or more. Why would it remind me of appointments that occurred in the past? Also the calendar is a bit glitchy as the background graphics will disappear..Version: 1.0.12

OWA NE FONCTIONNE PLUSJe ne peux ni lire, ni envoyer aucun courriel..Version: 1.0.10

Almost, But Not QuiteUntil the iOs client synchronizes with search folders like the Outlook desktop client, it's just not really useable. Many people do not move emails into fixed folders, but instead maintain multiple search folders so they can isolate emails, while maintaining an intact inbox. The iOs application does NOT have access to those search folders (nor does the web app), which makes it a second-rate product that should only be used when necessary. When search app synchronization is added to this iOs application, it will finally be useful for someone who uses email for business..Version: 1.0.12

DisappointingSo many updates and none of them really offer any real functionality. I could swear there was a time I could easily create a new subfolder to my inbox in this app and now its not there, and it should be. So many things I can do from my pc that cannot be done in this app. It's supposed to be Outlook web app, but this app has a lot less functionality than the actual web interface..Version: 1.0.12

RubbishSlow, crashes, typical ms software.Version: 1.0.8

Works as advertised.I find the email, contacts and calendar functions work as advertised. However I do find it freezes or responds slowly on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air two, even though I am accessing with high speed wifi and a very strong signal..Version: 1.0.12

Doesn't "Send" on iPad ProI used to love this app. Then I got an iPad Pro. Thought I had a great device to improve my work connectivity and productivity. Just tried to use the app and I can read e-mail just fine, but I can't reply to them because there isn't a "Send" option. Not being able to reply to an e-mail pretty much makes the app useless..Version: 1.0.12

Does fine by me...mostlyI mostly use it through my phone. Occasionally on the ipad. It syncs well enough across everything but I only receive about ten emails a day. It can be a bit slow to start up, I wonder if it's because i am using iPhone 4. Overall, works well enough for my purposes of the occasional check in with work stuff...Version: 1.0.10

Helpful but crashes frequentlyI find this app invaluable in accessing my office staff members' calendars remotely for scheduling, which is a huge part of my job. However, it does crash frequently which is very frustrating. Sometimes I have to delete the app and reinstall it to get it working again. If they could fix that issue, I would rate it with five stars..Version: 1.0.12

Lots of promise, but not quite there yetThe functionality the app promises is fabulous--you can access OWA features like scheduler that aren't available when syncing through iMail/iCal. However, performance for even the most basic functions is still often glitchy. I find I still need the Exchange syncs as backups for when the app isn't cooperating..Version: 1.0.12

Restrictive and confusing. There needs to be a 'log out/switch accounts' option. This app needs a lot of work.Version: 1.0.12

Can’t get to passcode entryThe app worked fine this morning, but it was time to change my network password (every 90 days, of course). On the iPhone version of this app, I was able to update my password; but on the iPad version, it insisted that I reset the app. I logged in and it wants me to set up a passcode, but the “Continue” link doesn’t work..Version: 1.0.12

No log out feature available? Many strange features, in particular the inability to log out or change profiles..Version: 1.0.12

Its okIt's useful to me but I don't like its intuitiveness. Just feels awkward.Version: 1.0.10

Very disappointingThis app has been erratic for sometime but about one week ago it stopped working - it keeps saying it is downloading an update that will take a few minutes - but so far nothing has happened after one week. I have tried deleting it and reloading but that makes no difference. Very poor experience and not fit for purpose..Version: 1.0.12

No notificationsI have no alerts for new emails, and I have to refresh for any to show up. Needs to be fixed!!.Version: 1.0.12

Not quiet there yetThe only reason why anyone would install a mobile email app as to get a notification on the fly which this app lacks though meeting notifications are prompt provided we have to open the app and manually sync all the emails for it recognize the meeting invites...it's a shame when third party apps can do the job where Microsoft can't...I use office 365/exchange server for this app ...2 stars for meeting notifications...I hope Microsoft comes with a better app with the next update.Version: 1.0.12

FrustratingIt’s great to have an app to get my emails direct without signing in through the web, but this app wont open PDF in a format that i can save in cloud or iBooks. Once something opens in word it changes the format of the screen and I have to close the app to and reopen it. Today on every device it wont work as it says it is updating, and i was happy it might be a fix to all the problems, but now it doesn’t work at all. Looking forward to the refresh that fixes everything!.Version: 1.0.12

GlitchyIt's a bit glitchy, slow. Calendars were not always showing after scrolling through dates. Disappointing it doesn't remember a shared calendar meaning I have to find and add it each time..Version: 1.0.10

Rubbish appEmail needs to be pushed to update ..Version: 1.0.12

App stopped workingUp until a few weeks ago this app worked well. It now tells me I need to set a 4 digit password (something that’s always been set up & working) before continuing-which would be ok if it actually let you continue to the next screen to re-set it up. Deleted app & reinstalled but that didn’t correct issue..Version: 1.0.12

BrokenI have been using this app for school and up until the last update it has been working great (which is why it even gets one star). Since the update it will not connect to the server and won't allow me to sign in. VERY FRUSTRATING as I have already missed out on information due to this..Version: 1.0.11

WorthlessWon't open PDFs Won't print Lousy interface **** Use a web browser****.Version: 1.0.9

Sluggish, very poor usabilityWay too slow. Annoyances on every use. Not improving over time. Read/unread marking awkward and actual setting not always reflected on screen. E.g. read mail continues showing as unread. Emails almost always have images disabled, so majority of emails just look a mess. Marking business email senders as known doesn't help as most businesses prefix the origin with mail1231 or similar - which changes on each subsequent mail, making them not match the known 'signature'. Although web OWA not much better..Version: 1.0.12

CrashingOverall I enjoy using this app, but some times I have to start it 3-4 times before it does not crash. Not sure if work changed setting or the app, but I liked it when I always had to put in password. Since I sometimes loan out my device and would prefer no one got into my mail..Version: 1.0.10

FrustratingFind it very annoying having to re-enter password after only a few seconds away from the app. Also do like only being able to see actual email in a small window on the right!.Version: 1.0.9

Unproductivity AppThis app should have been the most frictionless way to get my school emails, but it had 2 show-stopping flaws: 1) can't paste anything into emails 2) doesn't update notifications – emails read on other devices (in their OWA apps) still show up on the badge as a new emails on the iPad OWA.Version: 1.0.9

Fix yr appWon't refresh. To retrieve new mail, I have to shut down and restart iPad. This gets old, as does the non-functional copy/paste..Version: 1.0.9

It's a startIt's finally getting a bit more stable but there are still too many missing bits - responding to meeting requests is a challenge, tasks are not available etc..Version: 1.0.12

Slow and clunkyCompared to the native mail app, I find this very slow, lacking in features and generally poor. I find it frustrating that attachments don't open the first, second, third, fourth or even fifth time you tap them; you just have to keep tapping 'view' or 'open in device' until it's good and ready. In summary: could do better, Microsoft..Version: 1.0.12

Poor performanceFreezes or lags. Constantly have to completely shutdown the app to retrieve email. Took 3 weeks to set up to work off line. Zero customer support..Version: 1.0.12

DisappointingToo many updates, then those frequent updates cause further crashes. Does not offer the same functionality as the desktop version. Different setup from other mobile platforms. Often does not open, simply crashes. Hey MS, get some programmers that have time, and can troubleshoot before sending out the newest and latest update. I don't want to update every Friday!.Version: 1.0.12

Latest version is better than last rev.I reinstalled the latest version a week ago. The rev before just didn't work, at all. This one does, for the most part. There are still frequent crashes, but that is typical of most Microsoft offerings on any platform. The rest of the time it does what it's supposed to, providing access to both Exchange based email and calendar data in one place, which the iOS mail app does not do..Version: 1.0.12

Nice Set Up by Very Disappointed by PerformanceI really like the layout of the OWA vs the regular Outlook app. My favorite feature is that the email lists that I've created in Office 365 Outlook are just as accessible through the app as on a PC which is not the case with the Outlook app. Works nicely with OneDrive too. BUT the notification sounds do not work. This is a very needed feature. The app often just closes too. And now if I try to put a link in an email, it is not a true link that can be clicked. This needs fixed!.Version: 1.0.12

Frequently FrustratingBoth my iPhone and iPad OWA are frozen with an error message and a footer proclaiming it is "Downloading an app update. This may take a few minutes" How about 480 minutes?!?! Poor support + unavailability = poor product.Version: 1.0.12

Good, not greatI recently converted to MS Exchange at work. I wanted to be able to use one calendar app on both my computer and mobile devices. It does meet that requirement. However, the interface and features aren't quite up to the desktop version of Outlooks. But the biggest complaint I have is the need to login every time I can wifi connections or have been inactive for awhile. It would be nice if they could just save my password or use fingerprint recognition to speed access..Version: 1.0.12

Very disappointingMicrosoft has once again released an application that is not ready for prime time. It is very glitchy, inconsistent, and poorly integrated. As one example, the Outlook app no longer lets you update people, directing you to OWA. However, OWA doesn't always let you update the person. It is also very slow to refresh, and on the schedule screen, a secondary drop down blocks the save icon so you cannot save the changes. I have to run both Outlook and OWA on my ipad to be able to do my work. Please settle on one app, and develop it properly..Version: 1.0.12

Crashing issueAlright to an extent but I find it really problematic when reading attachments in messages, it's got to the point when opening an attachment it crashes straight away🙁.Version: 1.0.12

BuggyAlways after a few minutes this app stops recognising selections ie I tap an incoming mail to view and nothing views except last email viewed, I scroll down and select other mail and I cannot view any of them. When I write an email suddenly the typing disappears so I am typing but nothing appears. Cannot copy type correctly to paste etc.Version: 1.0.8

OWA Keeps restartingOWA keeps restarting even after resets..Version: 1.0.12

OWA is not loading my Exchange accountOWA is refusing to load my account telling me to contact my account administrator. Microsoft for small business owners who use Exchange Online, you need to get rid of that stupid statement, it is akin to when windows would flash a message saying you performed an illegal operation when all you were doing was trying to save a file. Microsoft needs to stop thinking like software engineers and think like end users. Having said that, I do not like using the iOS Mail app on my iPad, I prefer to use OWA. Clearly, if I can access my Exchange account through iOS Mail nothing is wrong with it and something is wrong with OWA. Please fix the app and make it recognize my credentials..Version: 1.0.12

Out of dateIve had to use this for the past 5 years to access my school email account on my iPhone and iPad but after not having an update for over 2 years this app is becoming slow and is not even supported my the new aspect ratio on my iPhone..Version: 1.0.12

Worse since updatesI was pretty happy with OWA but recent updates have made it much worse. There is now no option to launch an email attachment in the iPad Office app - it just opens in the web version of Office, which is nowhere near as good. Also, most of the time clicking on the detail for an appointment in Calendar won't show the detail, or if it does, the list of attendees for a meeting disappears as you scroll down. This is frustrating as I now have to use Outlook for iPad, which is nowhere near as attractive as an interface, and just not as nice to use. If it ain't broke... But I think you've broken it..Version: 1.0.12

It's pretty useless for workI absolutely HATE that it not only doesn't save your drafts if you click off the email or close it, but there's also no warning message asking you if you want to save or discard the draft. It's just gone. You also can't attach documents, only photos. Not helpful! Whether you have to use it for work or school, the ability to attach documents is critical! It's also missing most of the other mail options that you're used to with Outlook..Version: 1.0.12

Annoyingly limitedIt's better then the online browser version, but other than that it hasn't got much going for it. Low functionality, not intuitive and buggy. Does even badge the app with the right number of emails it's meant to check in the background (I think it's meant to at least) which is a waste of time. If I didn't have to use it, I wouldn't..Version: 1.0.9

Crashes a bit on my old iPad 4, but comes good in the end.Even if you have to relaunch it a few times, it's a reliable performer, eventually..Version: 1.0.12

MUCH better than Outlook for iOS!! Still MS Best ProductUpdate: OWA is STILL perhaps the best product Microsoft has created for iOS- maybe even for all platforms. Should be a company example of "how it is done"! OWA is the only calendar product that has full calendar functioning for Exchange networks (like the Windows version) so users can actually see the calendars of colleagues and schedule appointments. This is the best calendar app for iOS and Mac platforms. If you need to schedule appointments and do not use Windows, this the best app to get by far. Right now, Outlook for iOS is very buggy after iOS 10 update and totally useless as calendars cannot be shared by Exchange network (like OWA). Outlook is regressing (and no response from MS tech "support"- not really support at all). Stick with OWA- BY FAR, the best way to use Outlook on an iOS device or a Mac. Even better than when we must use Windows. Not a huge fan of most Microsoft products (they usually seem 75% developed when released, full of bugs and absolutely no tech support available), but MS did a great job with OWA. Our business depends on it and OWA delivers..Version: 1.0.12

Needs an updateAn ok email web hosting and diary app...needs an update to compete with others and to make it more user friendly. I'm going to switch if it doesn't improve soon......Version: 1.0.12

Hidden JenStill much to discover and so far it's going well..Version: 1.0.12

I hope you will improveI cannot delete the history of my previous emails when I want to send answers. I cannot use copy/paste into emails body. Sometimes I am not able to find the send icon to send my emails..Version: 1.0.12

Current Issues.Since receiving the app I have longed for updates with each email and was absolutely overjoyed when that feature began. I am a student and email serves as a primary mode of communication. Knowing when certain emails arrive and what they contain is incredibly valuable, and Apple's own app accounts for this. While I prefer the OWA app interface, the omission of this feature has been tiresome. With this in mind, the fact that the most recent update has taken this capability away is simply baffling. Why, when here exist in-app settings wherein you can choose which features you wish to produce notifications, would you carte blanch eliminate the option for users? Especially since you had offered it just days ago?! As strange as it sounds, the addition of the email notification service—with the ability to read significant portions of emails from the lock screen or notification centre—had rocketed this app up to being one of my favourites; simply because of well-intended functionality. I was motivated enough to write a review simply on that basis, (the first and only such review I had ever composed), and am similarly motivated in the wake of its removal. Please bring back that functionality. If users have complained, provide a explanation at the app's first invitation after the update, and let them turn off the feature within the app settings. Provide users a chance to maximize the app's functionality and tailor it to their individual needs. —and I'll boost my rating at least 3 stars higher..Version: 1.0.9

Typical MSI get a message that the app found the server but it's not compatible with this app. Funny... I get everything from Apple's own Mail, Calendar and Contacts apps. Microsoft motto: why make things easy for the end users when you can make them complicated!.Version: 1.0

Missing some key featuresThree big minuses... 1) no notification of new emails is available 2) no pinch and zoom available for messages 3) cannot adjust or customize size of text or many app features So, I don't know when new messages arrive without providing the app password and checking. For many messages I have to scroll left to right as the message cannot be resized to fit on the screen. Font sizes are giant with no way to adjust. This is just not good enough Microsoft, I'm sure you can do better..Version: 1.0.12

Not bad but...This seems to basically be a wrapper around the standard OWA browser App. The downside is that unless you use it regularly it takes forever to sync up and very frequently says it's "doing an update, please wait a few minutes" (or something to that effect). A few minutes lost on a regular basis quickly becomes tedious. Sticking with built in iOS Apps instead mostly....Version: 1.0.4

Horribly unstableThe interface is great, but the fact that it cannot truly run in the background means it has to reopen the mailbox whenever you switch to another task and come back. This slows the process right down and makes it almost useless if you frequently need to open web links from emails, for example. The latest very is also very unstable- it quits on startup five times out of six, and then quits randomly once it is running..Version: 1.0.9

Bad appNot at all good. Very difficult to use. It takes long to get started, let alone sending a mail!.Version: 1.0.7

Generally good features, but poor performanceThe application crashes a lot and can take some time to recover. Generally well designed but makes ipad run very slowly. This is on ios9..Version: 1.0.12

SlooowThe app itself is interesting but it's too slow! Although I'm using and iPad 2 all my other apps run great. It should be possible to upload files when sending an email..Version: 1.0.10

No badge alertsBadge alerts are what People use to see if they have mail waiting to be read. All alerts are turned on but I get no alerts. Please fix ASAP..Version: 1.0.12

AwkwardI find it very difficult and sluggish. It doesn't seem to keep my signature what ever I do and have reverted back to apple mail app. The "integrated" calendar is awkward and would be a huge improvement if it interfaces well with Apple. Very very poor app and I'd recommend avoid where possible.Version: 1.0.12

I need this app for work, but its unusable as is.I need this app for work but literally every time I open an attachment, the app crashes. My current solution is to just forward all e-mails with attachments to an e-mail I have access to, and deal with the attachments there. As you can imagine, this hampers work flow and makes things rather inefficient. Edit: I added a star. My initial issue seems to have been fixed. Opening attachments no longer crashes the app. However, I still have an issue uploading my own attachments. The only options I have are to upload a new picture, pictures from library, or a signature. I need to be able to attach files from the Files app in order to use this properly..Version: 1.0.12

Suddenly can't log inKick me out every Sunday! I can't log in my email account very often, therefore I missed important emails to look..Version: 1.0.8

Not working on iPadHave been using this work.. and now it says it doesn’t support iPad... please bring it back as much better than 365.Version: 1.0.12

Needs fixing9 times out of 10 I close the app and use the web. It’s slow and frustrating. I can open files and it crashes often..Version: 1.0.12

Hmmm.... OkAlthough feature rich, it's too slow to be really useful (4G iPad mini).Version: 1.0.4

Randomly deletes your email before you can send itTyped a long email, looked away for a moment, and it 'timed out' and I lost what I had written. I don't have time for that malarkey. Don't waste your time..Version: 1.0.12

5th review, and it keeps getting worse. This app is horrible. I have to use it for work. There are numerous screen errors and slow loading times each time it start to (back up for offline functionality) although then it looses 7/8th of all functionality anyways. Now I can not send emails as the buttons disappear. No wonder people hate windows now. It is a horror. Get another app if you can. ANY OTHER if you can..Version: 1.0.12

Not greatNot great, but I'm forced to use this instead of the built in email app because of the Microsoft email subscription I have. The search function is terrible, which makes live really difficult, and I can't get it to poll for emails and notify me when new emails come in. I now need to work through 2 different email apps on my ipad, one which works brilliantly and this one :(.Version: 1.0.12

OK to an extent but some recurrent irritating glitchesAbout half the time this works fine but often the keyboard closes down on its own. At first I thought I was accidentally making contact with the 'close keyboard' on the screen so kept my eye on it - no, it wasn't me, just an annoying intermittent glitch. This hasn't improved despite updates. If using an iPad I often find I suddenly can't move the cursor to correct a typo or cut and paste. I then have to wait until outlook decides it will let me continue 😁 Like others, I have to use this for my work account so can't choose an alternative.Version: 1.0.12

UnsatisfiedWhen you reply to a message you cant scroll down to see the message anymore. Directory is not available off line to add names. How do you get address book to work off line? Freezes Bottom function screen/blue screen. Sometimes it fills 1/2the window. How do you get it to go back? Messages with attachments that are downloaded while online do not show off line..Version: 1.0.12

Rough InterfaceUsing on iPad Pro. Wanted separate email & calendar app for work emails on exchange. OWA is functional, but the interface is clunky and unrefined. It is easier to use the browser to access than to use this app. Microsoft would be better to have the functionality of OWA combined with the UI of Outlook. Apple Mail and Calendar are better on the iPad than these two apps..Version: 1.0.12

Won’t open attachmentsOnly in the last couple of months OWA will not open any PDF etc. attachments to emails. Very annoying as I have to keep forwarding these emails to my own hotmail account to open them..Version: 1.0.12

OWAGreat app but shame you can't delete the entire trash at once instead of having to individually select each message first..Version: 1.0.12

Just doesn't get betterSlow and clunky on my iPad. Takes forever to refresh, and gets hung up moving from one folder to another. Often have to restart my iPad just to get OWA to work again. Unpredictable and glitchy on my iPhone. Sometimes emails will just disappear from a folder, then reappear randomly. If I edit an event in the calendar, I cannot go back to email. I have to click on Contacts, and THEN I can get back to email. Unfortunately, this is the only choice for my work email. I'd use something else if I could..Version: 1.0.12

OWA No Longer Supported on iPadLet’s you log in and starts to load your mailbox then the screen goes blank are you are told that this app is no longer supported and then the app self closes..Version: 1.0.12

Needs update.Lots of glitches and crash prone under iOS 10 and really showing neglected. Can't see text while typing in note section. Becomes unresponsive during reply. Agenda view only reports default calendar and there is no way to make a shared calendar the default. Does not recognize addresses and phone numbers as actionable. Would like to customize slide gestures. App could use a makeover..Version: 1.0.12

Simply doesn’t workAsks for email address but no password. Click continue and the it says you need a password and shows you the password field for the first time! After supplying both email and password, it gets as far as “contacting server” and promptly crashes and closes. Has anyone actually tested this app? I could use outlook, but then my employer/company wants to manage my personal device and install loads of other apps and a company profile which I’m not at all comfortable with. I bought my devices and the fact that a profile effectively hands over management of it to them and they could then effectively wipe my personal device if they wished. It also allows them to see a lot more information on the device and it’s use for which I reiterate I paid for, not them, so chose to go OWA. But this fails miserably, back to using safari and the clunky web portal or not being as engaged as I’d like be at work. Amazes me how many people just install profiles on their personal devices because apps like this don’t work and there is no middle ground..Version: 1.0.12

Okay at firstAt first this app was great but now it never seems to sync correctly or download the latest emails. I know and have viewed online a week's worth of emails that have not come through to this app. When I refresh it says it is up to date though. Unfortunately, you can't rely on this app to tell you if an urgent email has come thorough..Version: 1.0.4

Tons of bugsOften can't update itself to retrieve new emails. Sometimes good emails get marked as spam and quarantined, but there is a bug that prevents the app from releasing them. A rare few times I have sent an email with the app, only to check on my laptop that the emails weren't actually sent. The most annoying is when I open an email to search for a number or something, then switch to Safari to type the number in, then try to switch back to Outlook to verify the number and the app restarts and I have to search for the email again. Real fun with flight reservations. Typical Microsoft product that works ok most of the time but has tons of little inconveniences like that..Version: 1.0.12

Bugs bugs and more bugsBeen using this out of necessity for years and it's never worked properly on any iPad I've owned. The menu can get stuck, you can't easily open pdfs or word documents on other programmes external to the OWA app, and it frequently lags, or won't recognise you've read an email (I've had to click on an email several times sometimes for it to register as read). It's been awful for a long time, and there doesn't seem to be improvements made to stop these odd and frequently occurring bugs..Version: 1.0.12

Too UnreliableNeed this app as it is a work requirement, however will not let me read emails, wants to self update which just does not complete. A reinstall of the app has failed. Not happy..Version: 1.0.12

Won't loginFunny I have Office365 hosted by Microsoft but I am told my server is not compatible... I am using the default 365 offered by Microsoft. Oh well I will stick to my BlackBerry Z10 for email.Version: 1.0

Is email really that hard to do?My college uses OWA for its email system so I have to send and receive all of my emails from it, and it's terrible. It crashes frequently, and can barely load emails sometimes, regardless of what wifi I am connected to. And forget trying to send emails with attachments. I don't think I have ever successfully sent an email with something attached, which is a huge problem considering its my school email. I would take any other email system over OWA..Version: 1.0.12

Awful AppI have to use this for my iPad as it is the one Microsoft told me I have to use, but it is awful, unreliable and completely un-user friendly. Would not recommend...if only there was another option....Version: 1.0.12

Buggy and not user friendly.I resent paying for an office 365 subscription for the privilege of using this terrible app. Full of bugs, can't click menus, open a draft to edit it and the page is blank (the text is there but is can not be seen). The whole layout is unintuitive and seems to be awkward to use and figure out. If you think this is a better experience than iOS mail you will be bitterly disappointed!!!.Version: 1.0.12

Does not workThe app asks for you to create an extra password- but I cannot proceed past that request screen and there is nowhere on that screen to input the password.Version: 1.0.12

Not suitable for businessYou can only add a single account? Say no more....Version: 1.0.8

Wish I could kill notificationsI like having access to my Exchange Mail on my iPad. The interface is far superior to the light web access that you'd get using Safari, but not as great as the full OWA you'd get when accessing your mail in a browser on your desktop. My only real gripe is this: even with notifications completely disabled, I'm still bombarded with meeting notifications that I had already dismissed in Outlook on my PC. Since I use the OWA app only when traveling infrequently, I have to spend several minutes dismissing meeting notifications when opening the app before I can get to work..Version: 1.0.12

Desperately needed for iPhoneI like many people use Outlook for personal mail but my employer forbids using Outlook for personal email. This app solves the issue on the iPad but unfortunately it’s difficult to put an iPad in your pocket and walk around with it for mission critical notification push email and as ones main phone. So far I’ve been accused of negligence and threatened with termination multiple times for not answering timely emails. Using OWA on a browser does not send notification of incoming emails and pending totals requiring keeping the app open and checking the app constantly all day and night so as not to miss an incoming email. I’ve been told I cannot use “safe” mail apps for enterprise email based in India and Russia (I will not mention the app names). Don’t see why this option is no longer available for the iPhone. I literally may have stop getting personal email on my phone, buy a second phone just for work or quit my job. Having this app on the iPhone again would solve this issue for me and the hundreds of complaints I’ve seen on the internet about not being able to use two separate copies of Outlook on phones!.Version: 1.0.12

Terrible updateEver since I updated to the latest version, this app has crashed every time I've opened it. Previous version was great, this one is terrible..Version: 1.0.10

Calendar doesn't workAbsolutely awful. Calendars don't show events, flash up when you change week but then disappear straight away..Version: 1.0.12

OK, but not greatSometimes, when you use the menu icons on the bottom, it creates a large blue bar that pushes up the rest of the screen about 150 pixels. This keeps you from being able to access the top of the menu. You have to close OWA by double-clicking the home button, then swiping OWA off screen. When you re-open, it is OK again. Also, I wish that it had tasks integrated. It is irritating to have to manage tasks elsewhere..Version: 1.0.12

Still a way to goStill a way to go not the same slickness as outlook in the office series. Bugs still there but some nice features.Version: 1.0.8

Long windedWorks for a while, but then have to faff about updating passwords, thinking of new ones to change to, and then difficulties logging on. I just want something quick and easy to click onto without this faffing about all the time.Version: 1.0.12
