✓ Best Game So FarWhat a brilliant little game. It's definitely the best game I have bought on my iPad to date! Admittedly I don't buy a lot of games but occasionally I like to buy something to distract me. This game manages that with ease and then some. The graphics are beautifully designed and the soundtrack well written. The concept is based on the RPGs of old and is executed well. It's an addictive little game and draws you in without you being aware that an hour has passed when you only meant to play for ten minutes! If you enjoy RPGs then this game is a must buy. ✓ Better than just good…One of the few RPG games that doesn’t have or require in-app purchases, and is still able to provide a great gaming experience. Be warned about a few glitches, however. One tip is to not retain more than two (2) similar items, be they armour/clothing, magical items or weaponry; otherwise the game will be extremely slow to load and is more likely to crash for unforeseen reasons (even on an iPhone 6 Plus). This also means making sure to keep items pared down to the minimum (don’t turn into a packrat). Another thing to note, is this is definitely one game where it can drag a bit as one attempts to gain enough levels to beat each “boss” (i.e., it’s a grinder of a game). Warning. Dungeon levels do not necessarily match character levels for game play. There are a lot of great mini-tasks. Only a pity that those don’t have more depth. Item descriptions are great as well, but again, entire adventures could be created around them — I’m looking at you, “Piercing Sliver”. This includes character conversations/meetings — i.e., more continuation. One of the few games I would recommend to parents who have daughters, as you can choose one of four female characters (in addition to the four male) to play as. ✓ Incredible - the best game on iOS!This is an amazing game and completely perfect on a small touch screen. The first BattleHearts was a favourite of mine and the fact that you only control a single character was an initial worry, however after playing this for a few hours you realise that this is just an amazing evolution that destroys the cheep copies of the original and surpasses the first game in every way. A few points for the Dev's; - Crash caused by using the poison dagger after changing equipment in a dungeon, FYI - no dagger equipped at the time. - When you die but the ninjas complete/still win the fight in the ninja village, screen darkens to say "you perished" but the game continues and you are not dead. Cannot exit darkened screen. - You REALLY need to add an option to contact you via the game and also submit a review from the home screen of the game so that more people can review it more easily :).Jonny_T2002Version: 1.1.2

I actually accidentally bought this game and am soo happy I did! Gameplay is amazing though I don't know if quests are meant to randomly spawn when u get to a higher level? And the game could use with a quest log so I can keep up... ✓ To the developersDon’t know if your still working on this game or have plans to come back to it… But I thought you should know that on the latest iPad mini (6th generation), the field of view is extremely close to your in game character. This makes it so you can’t see npc’s or enemy’s until they are basically right on top of you. Don’t get me wrong, the game still works fine and I love it, but as someone who played this on an older iPad (where this issue with the FOV didn’t exist), this sudden, closer view, is a tad bit jarring. My point being, would it be to much to ask for a FOV slider in the game settings? To offset this issue? Pretty please? Regardless of that, thanks for the awesome game. It obviously took a LARGE amount of work, but didn’t seem to receive the publicity it should have. I suspect this is why attention to the game dwindled (not enough potential revenue to justify further development)? In any case, the current times provide a remarkable opportunity. With Battle Heart Legacy already established as a high-quality game, the key is publicity. A large update (coupled with the current pandemic and therefore larger consumer base) may be enough for this game to gain the attention it deserves. In my humble opinion, allowing multiplayer (hosted on the user’s device—not something more risky investment-wise like remote servers) would most definitely generate excitement among players. From my limited game development experience, I realize this would be a huge and frustrating (haha) project. But I truly think multiplayer—the ability to connect with friends over long distances in these harrowing times—would push this game into the spotlight. Even after beating the game in its entirety, I went back for another two playthroughs to try out some of the other classes. My only minor critique for the developers is it would be great if there was less randomness to the loot in general. For instance, zone specific loot for main quests, or the ability to pick arena loot after reaching certain totals (i.e. get 200 kills and you can pick which legendary you want instead of praying to the RNG gods). The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of a couple of things: •There are a lot of places on the map that crash the game when I try to load them. Some of these places are City centre, Colosseum and a few others. Please could you have a look at this. •Some times when I enter a random encounter the game starts glitching out. Some of the characters start flashing and so does the GUI. This doesn't happen to often but is a bit annoying at times. Overall this game is brilliant but these problems being fixed would make it so much better. It is stopping me from doing some quests and discovering new ones. Also I would like to mention that I am running the game on an iPod touch 4th generation and these seem to be the only problems I have had. Quests are short enough to be snackable for casual players but I'm finding it enjoyable to sit down and play for few hours straight. 2.5 hours in and it's well worth £2.99 as you can access all the content without waiting 3 years (or £100's) for simple tasks to complete or having to pay for decent armour, potions etc. Very highly recommended. A clever game, easy to control, easy to play and with so many options you with have tens if not hundreds of hours playing this little masterpiece. I'm an old school dungeons and dragons/rune quest paper based player. I grew up on box games and a bit of heroquest. Just loving this game. The visual style is reminiscent of Battleheart but in glorious 3D with towns and dungeons to explore. Detail is fantastic, and the effects that come with battle add a real depth to the experience. The music might seem tame at first but it fits well in all occasions. Combat is simple with the controls suited so perfectly for touch that it is hard to find a better example in the App Store of touch controls done right. The class system almost needs a better name because it allows you to delve into as many or as few classes as you like - creating a new experience every time you play and between you and every other player. Finding optimum play styles will probably keep gamers busy for a very long time. Want to be a bow wielding magician in plate armour? How about dual wielding brutal axes while singing your foes to sleep with a soothing lullaby? To match that quests can change drastically depending if you choose nice options, 'evil' options or simply act like a jerk to everybody. There's a nice amount of humorous freedoms with dialogue and action choices. A fantastic, detailed, well done game which is more than worth the price tag. ✓ Don’t be fooledSo I honestly overlooked this several times because of the art style but having caved and purchased I am pleasantly surprised. The writing is very good, a lot of laughs and decently witty. These is a lot of personality in it and will have a lot of replay ability. It takes less than an hour to come to a cross roads decision. The class system is interesting and character building is excellent, gives you a lot of freedom. That feeling of wanting to start multiple characters just to test out other options is what I was looking for in an rpg. The combat is really a lot of fun, meaty hits and great animation. Even though you can beat the game in like 4 or 5 days if you concentrate on just that character, you can replay it and play as a different class and make other choices and still have a great time. ✓ Truly an IOS masterpieceThis game has more replay ability than some sixty dollar titles out there. Years later I can hop back on and make a new build and take different paths to make a very fun and entertaining experience for a second time. The dialogue can be witty and well done, and the gameplay is fluid and smooth. Its art style isn’t as charming as the original Battleheart, yet it still manages to be a vibrant interpretation that’s altered slightly from the four-partied original. The beginning and ending are very well done and are enticing and interesting, but the middle game (12-25) tends to be very lackluster. Every good RPG has a good grind, but sometimes it can feel too grind-y. I’m personally very excited for Battleheart 2 and hope they make the game feel amazing through the entire experience! ✓ What I was looking for in a mobile RPGAnother review mentioned KOTOR and Fable 1 in their comparison of this game. That alone got me to buy it and play it. I’d like to add that there is also a fair comparison to Final fantasy tactics, in terms of classes and jobs and how to mix them. This is a great game. It has character development depth, but not overly complicated, like Baldur’s Gate for mobile for example. It’s a good mix between casual and in-depth. ✓ What I was looking for!I am a big fan of RPG series such as the Neverwinter Nights series, Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, KOTOR, and Diablo. I am a huge fan of the Forgotten Realms. This game allows the player to pick their class and level them up how they see fit. Initially you start as a fighter and then get to choose how you progress. My favorite class to play in most RPGs is the Monk class. In this game, I was able to build my Monk, and multi-class him with a Ninja. It is very pleasing to watching leap in and out of the fray without taking any damage. The story and Dialogue are not very deep. But the replay value, and ability to master your character's stats and find better equipment is awesome. This game is a great find for RPG fans. Graphics are simple but well done and colourful, the dialog is hilarious at times and the many roles make it one of the most replay able games I've found. The customisation of your characters appearance is a little too simple but is made up for by the varied equipment. Stats are varied while not complex. Only downside I've found is that the quests tend to stop around level 20-25 and you need to grind from there to complete the game, however arena gameplay is fun enough to bring it off. Like you click to kill an archer with my barbarian and he will just stand there. He won't go over to the archer to swing at him. You have to click right in front of the enemy for your guy to walk over there and then click the enemy again to hit him. It would be so much nicer just to click the enemy. Plus when it gets intense you start pushing your abilities faster and if you miss the bottom at all you just tapped the screen now for your guy to move down. I've done this so much it's irritating. I want to use my first ability on bottom left of screen and I'll miss the square and end up tapping the screen next to the ability and there goes my guy running down the screen in the middle of battle. I just want to say this first though, to people who complain about the lack of a mission log: it doesn't really matter, for these side quests you can just go to the area of the quest and complete the area and therefore you will complete the quest. The reason I give this 4/5 is because near the late middle of the game you may run out of quests possibly making it a little boring. This game blew my expectations out of the water and easily became my favorite game. I now have over 300+ hours and completed the game multiple times with most classes and is still fun to play. Now that being said this game takes a while to get good but climbing the ladder to victory was an enjoyable experience. I only found one bug in my years playing it. You can teleport in some rocks with the wizard’s active teleport or the ninja’s passive teleport, but is very easy to avoid as long as you don’t tap on the rocks.(which is very easy not to do) This game is incredibly smooth with reliable data saves. Its a huge RPG with a lot of locations, you fight monsters, do quests, level up etc, it has all the classic elements of an RPG. A specific one that is very frustrating. The quests are challenging even if you’re the right level and it demands your attention and skill. The button to start a New Game + is right next to the button to delete your file. ✓ Add joystick move ability option!This game is incredible and super fun and addicting. It's quests are always interesting and the variety is awesome. ✓ Best iOS RPG I've foundIt's really annoying a game like this has 20 reviews so I figured I'd throw in my own... 7 or 8 fully developed character classes, nice levelling system, not bad plot / dialogue, but most importantly excellent gameplay, literally the most enjoyable iOS action game I've played - and that doesn't even account for the RPG element. Really good job dev team, shame it's not got publicity it deserves!
