✓ App is great but cash collection partners are nightmareFirstly the App is really good and you get a great rate. I can only talk about my specific experience about sending money to myself in South Africa. The App process is smooth and easy however going to their cash collection partner is horrific. Mukuru are awful - customer service is always ‘computer says no’, and only small amounts are allowed to be withdrawn per day so technically you have to go everyday to collect the small amounts. I tried a couple of times to collect money and each time there was an issue which I couldn’t resolve as a tourist. I’ve had to cancel every transaction in the end and resorted to using Western Union which has no issues at all with collecting money - but their rates are terrible. This is just my experience in SA, and of course a very specific issue. The App itself is great but the partners used need to be reviewed..Version: 5.57

✗ Transaction orderI’m trying to send money to myself in a small country in Africa. It gave me options that won’t work for any real amount of money (cash or mobile money or debit card deposit). This isn’t 1990 I don’t need cash. I need money to be sent by eft. EFT not an option. Mobile money not an option because I’m sending too much. Cash not an option because it’s crazy high fees here. So I try for depot card deposit. I have jo idea of debit card deposit will work because I’ve never heard of it. But the app reassured me that it will warn me if my card doesn’t accept deposits. I go through the whole process. Says moneh will be delivered in 5 min. Then one minute later after taking the money it says no actually you card doesn’t do debit deposit. But they’ve already transacted the money. Now I have to call my bank to increase my daily limit because they ran the debit without checking to see if my card accepted a deposit. Won’t use again..Version: 6.12
✗ Worst customer serviceGot a issue with refund raised a complaint in the app initially they told to wait for 24hours and after 24 hours I have contacted them again and they said the amount have been refunded and informed to ask my bank about the money. I have contacted my bank about this and they told the money haven’t refund yet please contact the vendor it’s self. Again I have reached Remitly for refund this time they said the money with be refund with in 5-8 days. So I was waited for 8 days and after 8 days they still didn’t refunded my amount. When I was in live chat with the customer service they just say your money will be refunded with in 2-3 business days as today is Christmas. That totally doesn’t make a sense as you have kept my money for 8days and again you say to wait little more longer. Worst service I have faced will never recommend this app to anyone and more over who ever I have asked to use I will let them give a worst feedback on this app. Worst experience on this app..Version: 6.5.1
