Useless appThere are issues with the app. First of all, customer location is inaccurate. Use it the first time, never saw the bolt taxi driver. App kept saying driver is here but was never able to find him. Had to cancel. Second times I used it I specifically dragged the starting location to beach rd on central festival mall. Driver still ended up on central festival mall side. Tried message him. He never replied or try to go to where I was on my app. Driver cancelled the ride. Third time driver stated that he is only allowed to take 3 people but app said 4 seats. I assumed it was for 4 customers. No, it means car has 4 passenger seat. Doesn’t really make sense does it? Driver charged me 25 baht more for not kicking us off his car! Apparently only taxi can take 4 passengers. Fourth time, it was raining. Waited for driver to show up. Never saw him. Through the app I saw him continue to take the route I was going to take except without me and charging me for it. Never had this issue with Grab. It is true Bolt ride are cheaper but the app is not very dependable. It is a hit and miss using the app. I really wouldn’t recommend the app till they got the problems corrected..Version: 73.0

Yes it’s as bad as the reviews describeAbout the Bolt service : Be ready for any one of the many scams that can be pulled in you and good luck getting your money back. Once you have experienced enough of the scams you get wise and minimise them but here are a few starter tips for new users : 1) monitor the arrival of the taxi and make eye contact with driver to stop them deliberately driving past you and hiding so they can claim waiting time 2) check they close the trip as you get out the car and make sure they see you checking 3) if price starts changing due to surcharge do not chase it otherwise you will end up with multiple holds on your bank account and not all of them will be refunded. 4) plan ahead and avoid short trips during rush hours 5) consider the traffic flow and place pickup on best side of road , if you select a pickup on side with heavy traffic you will get cancelled Pray that Uber comes soon !! About the Bolt app : It doesn’t allow any of the accessibility settings and if you have Accessibility enabled in anyway you will find the app unusable The app will freeze resulting in a charge to card but no taxi ride ! The app crashed randomly The size of the map is tiny It isn’t very good at finding businesses Even though you carefully place pickup pin on correct side of road the app doesn’t seem to convey this accurately to driver.Version: 104.0

Driver Violent with child and RudeI recently had an extremely disappointing encounter with a Bolt driver, and I feel compelled to share my experience. The driver’s behavior was completely unacceptable, leaving me and my family feeling unsafe and distressed Scaring My Child: my child was terrified by the entire ordeal. The driver’s actions caused unnecessary distress, and it’s unacceptable that Bolt’s screening process allowed someone like this to be behind the wheel. Driver trying to scratched my child luggages and make they crying. Violent and Rude Driver: The driver exhibited aggressive behavior, which is completely unacceptable. Their rudeness and lack of professionalism were shocking. As a passenger, I expect basic courtesy and respect, but unfortunately, this driver failed to meet those standards Trip Cancellation: the driver abruptly canceled our trip. We were left stranded, confused, and frustrated. It’s inconceivable that a service like Bolt would allow such behavior from their drivers Physical Altercation: The situation escalated further when the driver physically pushed my husband. Bolt Is a ScamThis whole company has scammers working for them. My first ever experience with them, I got scammed. I got into the car and closed the door, thanking the guy for taking my ride request. He turns around exclaiming that I “slammed” his door. I was confused at first because all I did was close it. I keep trying to explain that I did not slam the door and he keeps insisting that I did. I then apologised saying that I was sorry if I did slam the and that I really didn’t mean to. He keeps asking why I slammed the door even after I apologised, so I asked “excuse me, I don’t understand” to which he said that he couldn’t take me and that I had to get out. I laughed and said this whole thing was stupid, he turned round and asked if I called him an idiot and I said sure. He turned round like a little kid and said he was going to complain about me. Bad customer serviceI have to canceled twice of the trip because the driver keep turning to the wrong junction before arriving at the pickup point. It delayed too long. So i cancelled. When i re-order, i got the same driver! Have to cancel him because he was like purposely doing the wrong turning. Appalling customer serviceTook a ride which should have cost £30-£35. Driver took the wrong route after having asked me which route I would like him to take causing an 18 mile journey to turn into a 34 mile journey going around london instead of through london as requested and booked. Journey took half an hour longer too. Driver freely admitted to the error and suggested we contact bolt for a refund as the journey actually ended up costing £51. I did this and immediately got given a £30 voucher without even asking. Tried to use the voucher on another occasion and it wouldn’t work. The app kept refreshing and requesting authorisation. No issue with signal. No issue with funds available. Ended up having to get an Uber. Contacted customer services who, in the long and short of it, won’t refund my overcharge because I ‘accepted’ the £30 voucher, refused or couldn’t remove the voucher to turn it into a refund, I can’t use the voucher for more than one journey (could be a £5 trip but the whole £30 would be used to cover it) and they won’t extend the voucher either as we are obviously now under full lockdown. The voucher expires on 21st January. Original journey was 21st December. Beyond shocking customer service. An outright refusal to help..Version: 4.59

Unexpected price changes (+ 45% in our case!)We have been using this app regularly and it was working well in London (except for slightly longer waiting time for a driver to accept the ride). However, now apparently the price of the ride can be suddenly changed in the middle of the route without any notification or your consent. Unprofessional driver and fake waiting timeVery unprofessional driver and unreliable app as it doesn’t shows actual driver time. My personal experience it’s shows driver 10 minutes away and that driver took 30 minutes to come. Even my money was deducted in advance before the ride that’s why I hesitate to cancel it if they wouldn’t return my money if I will cancel it and when I have contacted driver how long he will take and he lied by telling couple of minutes and took 30 minutes. Consistently worse drivers than uber/other apps, only reason to use is when they give cheap couponsAs title says. drivers always cancel, drop off at the wrong locations, smelly cars, you name it, and the app always shows pick up time that is shorter than actual pick up times to trick users. Customer support also only at most give £3 pound coupon for next ride if you go through a horrible experience (like if a driver drops off at a wrong location). You should request a chargeback from your bank if it happens (this will end up costing Bolt more so they might actually give you a refund). The only reason to use this app is when they give out coupons that make it cheaper (but weigh that against how bad your experience could be) - out of my 5 rides, 4 were bad/below average. Not safe to ride with, dangerous for travelersMy first ride I took with them, the driver picked me up and took me to a location out of the way to where I was going. He got out of the car and told me someone else would be driving me. I told him I want to just get out and call another car and he blocked the door and wouldn’t let me out. The new driver came in, and started diving but the driver in the app was not him. He didn’t know where we were going and didn’t have the Bolt device with my profile. This was just some stranger off the street now driving me. He made a bunch of turns and again went out of the way of my destination. It took an extra 30 mins on top of how long my ride should have been. I asked for a refund and they offered me a 5 euro credit. Terrible!!!.Version: 70.0

Why is it so difficult to get a ride?I've been using this service in Azerbaijan for three years. Over that time the quality has gotten worse and worse. It generally takes about five or six tries to actually get a driver to show up. Most of the time they never move, or else get to a place and then stop without responding to calls or messages. Worst is when they call and ask you to cancel – if you cancel too many times Bolt locks you out of the app (great customer service!). It's really a very frustrating experience. My suspicion is that part of the problem with the service is that they pay their drivers almost nothing. For example, a 15 minute ride might cost 1.75 USD, depending on the time of day. Seriously bad - app, customer service, routesMy first booking was in London and the driver said he is stuck and would take 15 mins instead of 4 mins, so he can cancel. We agreed to cancel and I still got charged £6 cancellation charge. Customer service [Stefan] is unhelpful, outright rude and dishonest. They refuse to reverse the charges, £6 is not the concern but by principle putting the customer in a helpless situation is — if I cancel I get charged, if driver cancels (or not) I get charged. Since Bolt has access to my credit card, they think they can charge me whatever. Driver sounded genuine on the reason to cancel but it seems Bolt is happy to fraudulently collect the fee from me anyway. Being the only alternate to Uber in London, this app seemed a necessity but they’ve lost my trust. Rude customer service and drivers cancellingI was charged £6 as a “cancellation fee” when I did not cancel the drive. The driver cancelled it and I was charged for not being at the car. When I went to dispute it, I was immediately given a dismissive message without any intention to discuss what went wrong. Unannouced increase in fareDon’t you think you should warn customer that the fair has almost doubled before directly deducting it from the card? I took a ride and we got into traffic jam and the driver had to do a bi detour because of the road construction. Because of that I tipped him off in cash before getting out of the car, only to fund out that the program had already generously compensated him for the extra mileage even though I had checked the fare just before leaving the car and it hadn’t changed. Bad driverI don’t normally leave reviews but the help support was truly awful. My driver was “5” minutes away for over 30 minutes, I couldn’t cancel without being charged when he clearly wasn’t coming to get me. He then started to get further and further away, 7 mins, 8 mins, 9 mins, 11 mins and after waiting 40 minutes was still going to be charged for cancelling. Had to text him and call him about 25 times and finally after begging for 45 minutes he cancelled the ride. Driver asks you to cancel, you’re stuck in appAlmost 40% of the times I’m using the app in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the drivers call you asking if you’re gonna pay by cash or credit card. If card is the case the will cancel your trip because they can’t get the money the same day. Some of those times the driver will wait for you to cancel the trip to save their reputation inside the app, which will make you be attached to that driver who’s driving in random directions for 15 or 20 minutes, without any possibility of getting another trip. They waste your time, zero profesional. If you cancel the trip yourself the app is gonna end up punishing you with more waiting time, and there’s no option to report the driver before the trip starts. Stealing from DriversI have used bolt in the past about two years ago and didn’t have this issue then but now after a ride completes it asks you to rate the driver which i rated ours 5 stars. On that same pop up it asks if you want to leave a comment or continue, i clicked continue to add a tip but was shocked no such thing popped up. The ride was marked as completed and then when i went back to the ride immediately it would not let me add a tip. After unsuccessfully trying to add one i reached out to customer service immediately and they took forever to reply back! First they said there was no way to add it, then they said i should have added it within 15 minutes of ride completion but that’s NOT AN OPTION! BadWhen order a taxi it can take a long time to even get a driver to accept, then most times you have to wait about 10 mins or more for it to arrive and they never seem to know or come to spot you’re at. Then when you get to your destination have to tell driver to stop as otherwise they don’t seem to know where drop off is and go right past if you don’t, for which they’ll add a charge on. Then the price that you get upfront is never what you end up being charged. It’s always extra. So you have to contact customer services. You have to ask repeatedly the same questions to get a response. I was charged for a toll before when I’d been nowhere near a toll, when asked where toll was it was other side of the country!? Also been charged for waiting time when I’d been the one waiting for ages. Even when you message the driver to say where are they and why they haven’t come to the pick up spot they often don’t answer or they drive right past you and disappear again or park up somewhere else entirely. They also charge you for going past the drop off point due to them not seeming to know exactly where it is. Usually have to tell them to stop. Consistently inconsistentNot once has the expected pick up time been close to the actual wait time. Nearly 100% of the time it is at least double. The map is glitchy and I get the spinning circle a lot and is super slow to load. GPS can never pin point my location and is generally about a block off (Uber’s GPS is spot on every time). When you try to move through the map to see where your driver might be and if he is even heading in your direction, it automatically puts the map back to your location. Quite annoying! The drivers has generally been nice but I have had a couple that won’t listen to which route I would like to go. I found out at the end of one trip he couldn’t speak English or understand it, it seems. The quality of the driving has also been of a poor standard (much like uber). Stay away from this app!I have been using bolt extensively for quite a while already. And im never using them again. Tons of issues: - For some reasons a lot of bolt's drivers take orders only to drive away from the customer's. And when you cancel the order you'll get penalty charged. This happens very frequently and I expect there's no proper screening when it comes to bolt's drivers. - They recently allow drivers to accept orders prior to finishing their current order, the problem is: they dont let you know how long it will take the driver to finish the current order. So I ended up missing an important trip solely because the driver took my order and went around the world to drop off his current customer only to be 30 minutes late to pick me up. So unreliable when it comes to this. - Customer service is terrible, they told me I could either get £5 or a full refund to my payment method. I chose a full refund and they suddenly said I am not eligible for a full refund solely because the trip has ended already and doing so would take the money away from the driver. Downhill disasterGone are the days of Bolt (formerly Taxify) having great customer service, competitive fares and good deals. As it’s gained popularity it has just become another Uber. They won’t even refund “fees” when the driver makes mistakes or forces the passenger to cancel. They underpay their staff while also overcharging their customers. Always got canceled in the last minuteIf you’re in a rush to work, NEVER use BOLT. I live in a town that’s not quiet at all in Manchester. UnreliableLeaving a review has an opportunity cost. I don’t want to waste my time leaving a detailed negative review because it’s just not worth my time. For Bolt, though, I’ll make an exception. I decided to try Bolt for the first time this weekend. I was in a rush, and Uber wasn’t connecting me to a driver. I downloaded Bolt, thinking I’d give them a chance to win me over. This was a Friday. Bolt tried to connect me, failed, then reconnected to a driver, failed again. At that point, my Uber had connected so that’s what I used. Flash forward to Sunday. We’re in London, pubs are closing. My wife and I are ready to go home. The bus (love it) will take 45 minutes. Uber will take 20, but costs an arm and a leg. Bolt is half the price, and only adds a couple of minutes of wait time. I select Bolt. A six minute wait turns into a six minute wait. And another six minutes. Three minutes have elapsed, and it’s still a six minute wait. I’ve been connected to a driver - hurray. Except my ride is cancelled. I decide to take the bus. My wife wants to try Bolt on her account. We connect to a driver. A three minute wait turns into a four minute wait. The driver cancels. We end up taking the TfL bus. It’s reliable. Poor Bolt Driver Service and Client service in GhanaBolt has a very poor driver service as well as poor client support service in Ghana, I tried using their service but due to the poor service, I will recommend that NO one uses Bolt services in Ghana. My ordeal was a day that 5 out of 5 request that all request never happened and I ended up using a local Taxi service which was high but reliable. Out of the 5 request for Bolt to pick me to my destination, 4 Bolt drivers ‘ out of the 5 ask me to cancel my trip which I declined doing so since I am not the one who wanted to cancel the trip. The Bolt Drivers’ were giving me some fanny excuses “Sir I am stuck in a traffic, I will be there soon”. While the app will be showing that driver will pick you in 4minutes and this minute has elapsed and it heading to 10minutes. Then then driver will chat you “ if it is taking too long cancel the trip for me” this is one of the excuse from a Bolt Driver. 1 out of the 5 request was more than worse. “the Bolt app indicated the Bolt Driver is driving me to my destination. O my goodness, this is bad for a service provider like Bolt to have this. Hello guys kindly do not use Bolt service at all. Thank you.Version: 92.0

UNRELIABLE AND INCONSISTENTI have been using bolt around Thailand for a while now and the quality of service has deteriorated significantly. Highly unreliable drivers who continually try to re negotiate the quoted fare. I was picked up by one driver who left me on the side of the road in the hot sun , with luggage and in the middle of nowhere because I wouldn’t t pay 500 baht more than the quoted fare. Another attempt to engage a bolt taxi also failed as the driver could t locate me on the bolt mapping system. A third attempt ended up with the driver changing his mind about the trip to the airport after accepting the fare. In total I spent some 40 mins stranded in the sun with luggage. Eventually a meter taxi drove past with a really nice driver and I got a ride at a fair and reasonable price..Version: 70.0

They may overcharge by 70!!!I was using this service to n daily basis. In most cases drivers are professionals, but last time I got driver who didn’t know rotes or specially was driving wrong directions to increase driving time. When we riched the destination application showed 70% MORE amount than ride costs. Regular taxi would take 16-20 GEL but this application charged 35 GEL !! CARL 35. Even driver was surprised by this amount, when I said it’s too much driver said that application sometimes overcharges, he agreed with me but said if i won’t pay he will have to inform Taxify to block me. So I payed having hope to refund that amount. I contacted them trying to proof that I was overcharged, asked them to check rotes driver took. Young woman from support checked and agreed that driver took wrong directions and it made about 4 additional KM and didn’t say anything about crazy charge they took. So they agreed that driver was hitting cycles around city( we several times argued) and agreed it was too expensive but they do not gonna refund. So if are ready to be overcharged because application decides that you are capable to pay go a head. Outdated maps and cannot tip driver!I normally use the U*** competitor, but received a discount promotion for Bolt. The reviews I read claim you can tip the driver within 15 minutes of completing the ride. I was short on change so thought I could just tip in the App. Nope. I then read that one has to apply the tip within 15 minutes of the end of the ride. Still, nope. It really irritates me, because these guys are out driving for this company on holidays and I can’t give them a little extra for their efforts, while Bolt corporate still generates revenue for shareholders…. In addition, I’m not sure what geo location map they use, but it needs to be updated, as I have had to cross the street on several occasions with heavy bags, after realizing they can’t find me. AwfulWhether it was the driver’s or app’s fault that I was charged double what I was quoted to a trip to Heathrow, I don’t know, but what truly p*ssed me off was the customer service LIES when they insisted that the extra charges were in relation to not-yet-existing Heathrow drop off charges and again non-existent “severe traffic” (if there was severe traffic I would’ve been panicking bc I was already running late). Trip was in September and Heathrow charges were not implemented in October. I think the driver cheekily drove in the slow lane to make it look like there was more traffic than there was too, I noticed that during the trip but didn’t say anything. Modern technology is far too easy to manipulate but when a company supports that manipulation and refuses to refund what is owed, instead provides account credit that I’ve specified I cannot use because I’m not in the UK for the period of time it’s valid for, can only be the result of perpetuating and encouraging idiocy in the workplace as well as a flawed system. ScamThis app is one of the worst apps I’ve used, they scam your money and you don’t even hardly get discounts. How can you amend a journey on the app when it doesn’t even give you an option to update it or add or remove a second journey. I got charged for 2 drops after I confirmed it was one journey because the silly app wouldn’t allow me to add/alter the journey, i confirmed the price of one journey and the second passanger had to get off at the first drop, however i still got charged for both drops and the driver was as useless as the app itself. As of recent months this app has scammed and some of the drivers are just unbelievable. I do not rate this app as i no longer believe it is a good app to use. Needs better mappingIt’s Uber, except not Uber, so I want to like it. Unfortunately the pickup estimates are so badly broken. It often will say 2 or 3 mins for a pickup and nearly every single time the actual pickup has been at least 3 or 4 times longer. Dangerous driversI use to consider bolt safe and reliable until I encountered a very dangerous driver. He was rude, abusive, intoxicated and dangerous. I even tried calling the local service number provided by bolt for safety in my country but they said they had no relation with bolt and had no idea why their contact was provided. When I reported the ride, it took bolt a whole day to even respond that I didn’t even see it. When I finally saw it, they considered “flagging” his account a solution. My surprise and confusion got me to review the app. He was even using someone’s account. After bolts response, it finally dawned on me that the driver was bold in his actions because he knew his employer won’t do anything about it considering I was even pregnant..Version: 100.0

The absolute worst. Do not waste your time and money!!!I tried to use it twice today. First for an airport pick up it told me to go to a specific pick up area. The driver went somewhere else. Then he couldn’t find where I was and I don’t even know if he was looking for me. Then he stopped answering. I was forced to cancel and pay a 15 euro cancellation fee. I gave it another try for a simple ride within the city. The app mis-located my gps position by a block. I couldn’t correct it. I tried calling the driver twice, messaging, and sharing my location with him not willing to drive around the corner in the pouring rain (the reason for the ride) to pick us up. GPS for pickup is not working correctlyI used Bolt twice in Budapest. Then on my 3rd attempt the driver passed us and stopped two blocks away. Fortunately we saw where he stopped and he was still there as we inconveniently had to run to catch our ride. The next time I used your app (also in Budapest). The driver had an incorrect pickup location. We used the chat feature to contact the driver to give him a precise location but he could not be bothered and cancelled. I am now in Vienna and the first time I used your app the driver went to an incorrect location and cancelled. Tonight (also in Vienna) we saw the driver stop about a block away and before we could get there he cancelled and drove away. We have never had issues like this whenever we use Uber. (Also, their price is always lower). You need to correct this problem while you still have customers willing to put up with an app that cannot locate the correct pick up point..Version: 67.0

Mixed bagBolt is decent price wise and that’s why I use them sometimes. The problem is that it’s hard to get a ride, similar to uber (not as bad) where for a long time it searches for a driver and often you’ll have drivers cancel on you after accepting. Sometimes you’ll be waiting say 15 minutes and the driver will cancel a few minutes away. If you have an appointment, accept you’re either going to be really early or really late because you need to leave well ahead of time because you don’t know how things will go. Sometimes the cars are fine, sometimes they smell awful. Sometimes the drivers are fine, sometimes they’re rude or almost hostile, or they’re suffering from a bad case of road rage, almost getting into accidents and swearing and shouting in front of passengers. I think they need to vet their drivers better. But on the other hand, some drivers really are great! And I wish Bolt would get rid of the tip time limit on their app. Sometimes I don’t have time to tip right after the ride ends, for example if I’m in a hurry or I’m in a sketchy area and don’t want to use my phone in the street. There have been drivers I’ve really wanted to tip and I’ve reached out to Bolt only to be told that there’s no way to do that after the very short time limit (like 10 minutes? can’t remember) has passed. Fake Arrival Time & Car Tracking on MapSo annoyed with this app!! Definitely the worst of all of them. Sticking with Uber from now on. The driver arrival times are fake! It says the drivers have arrived when they are far away. Today the driver arrived and within a minute started driving away as if planning to do the route of my journey. I called customer support and was told that the driver was just around the corner of my house even though on the map it showed him miles away. Was told to look around the corner, which I did and the driver wasn’t there. Customer support then contacted the driver who claims he waited for 6 minutes and customer support claims on their system it showed he waited for 6 minutes, which is funny because their system was showing that he was there even though he wasn’t. With the time of me ordering the car, waiting the 2/3 minutes for him to get to me and my call to the driver and customer service there is no possible way the driver waiting 6 minutes. I even have the screenshots to prove it. Then customer support tells me I’ve not been charged and they are offering me £3 off the next journey. #%# %*^! Terrible experience and ripped offThe price for the journey was £21. Drive turned up on time, however, only waited for 1min and he started saying I have to charge you extra I said ok, asked him to pick up a friend too just around the corner. He agreed and I promised him to pay him the extra ( £10) . At tthe drop off, I paid him £10 in cash and he seemed very pleased. To my understanding I thought I would get charged £21 on my receipt as I paid him the extra £10 in cash. However, my receipt showed £29 instead of £21 with wait fee and so on which I couldn’t get my head around. So in fact the journey cost me £39 instead of £21 with a horrendous experience as the driver was unbelievably rude and impatient. I must admit that I have had pleasant experiences with Bolt in Estonia with nice and polite drivers. Bolt should make it easier for customers to be able to contact the customers’ support team by phone if any issues arise as drivers who doesn’t conduct professionally and keep asking for extra or cancellation should be taken responsible for their action and customers should be compensated for inadequate service. Deceiving fee estimations - tolls not included!I made a complaint stating that the estimated fees for a ride were consistently higher than the highest part of the fee range. Support responded and told me that “price estimation does not include tolls, as that is the client’s choice if they wish to take that route or not”. No where in the app does it tell the rider this. Suggesting a route that is along a tollway, then providing a fee range, and NOT telling the rider it doesn’t include tolls is flat out deceiving. Nightmare driversMy 15 year old brother decided to go to place that’s 7 mins away from home as he sat back in the car the driver insisted that he comes to the passenger seat and started to try kidnap him by saying “I have a PlayStation in my home wana play?” But my brother was smart and scared the driver by saying my dad is tracking my phone and he’s going to come to the current location if the driver goes the wrong way and the driver tried to sexually touch my brother in Saudi Arabia kissing someone’s nose shows some type of respect but we are from Egypt so we don’t do that the driver kept touching his hair’ inner thighs’ hands’ and took advantage my bother had shorts on as he also kept touching his knees and the driver acted like he was helping my brother by putting the seat back bec he thinks my brother is not comfortable and he puts the seat back on the way back he was sliding his hands on the short till he reached his private parts and my brother scared him and called the cops he immediately stoped and was focused on the road till my brother was in his destination.Version: 75.0

UselessRegistered for an account using all of my personal data, after registration, the app doesn’t let me request a ride with any of my international credit cards that works perfectly with every merchant in foreign countries. The app doesn’t even let me request a ride with cash payment option, since my account has “suspicious activities”, I haven’t even had a single ride, what suspicious activities????! I’ve decided to walk to my destination instead since none of the payment options were working. A few hours later, I get a notification from my credit card company saying €30 was charged for a Bolt Food order in Latvia (I was traveling in Georgia)!! I definitely did NOT order this and froze my credit card immediately!!!! Not only does this app not work, it also leaked my credit card data. I tried to cancel my bolt account immediately but the only way to do so is to contact support. Support hasn’t responded to me in over 5 hours, this is completely unacceptable. SCAM THEY STEAL YOUR MONEYThey have this policy where after paying for your bolt ride eg say (15£) they’ll cancel the payment after you was in the bolt, even though the money has left your account and gone to bolt then they’ll then put you in debt in your bolt balance for the same price as your bolt eg £-15. So you have to pay that off and end up paying £30 in total and if you contact costumer service about this they’ll say they cancelled the payment due to insufficient funds even though the money literally left your account so it makes no sense and they’ll refuse to refund you. This has happened many times they say bolt does this to check that the costumer has sufficient funds. Drivers always drive to wrong pick up location and then charge you extra when you try to be flexible and walk to where they’ve driven for collection. I HATE BOLT SO MUCH they owe me over £30 which is very frustrating as I have worked so hard for my money and I also work in retail and know how to deal with unhappy and costumers and bolt does not..Version: 49.0

What’s annoying is the fact that the rider asks you to level up their dedicated prices because the generator of the app is incapable. Worthless/danger CAR-Share app!It is one of the most worthless/dangerous Car-Share app I ever use. If you chose to use this app be prepared to constantly deal with scammers at your own risk. Apparently, every driver after accepting your ( ride request ) with the specified COSTS , they are asking for more money, often they’re DOUBLE up the costs! Now, if you’re still awaiting for driver to pick you up, you can report it to the (customer support) which is basically worthless! Be prepared to be ignored and in most cases you will be waiting for some worthless answers. Then in the unfortunate case you’re already with the driver you will have to deal with that on your own terms, but not everyone is 1.90cm for 90kg ready for action, so be careful and choose wisely. Terrible and Frustrating AppThe current location feature doesn’t know the meaning of accuracy. Bolt always like to estimate that your location is in the neighboring city which always about 10km away. Mind you this is the same feature that other ride share applications use, but this issue always happens with Bolt. They should prompt the user to either select the pick address or use current location service, but they for some reason decided to make everything inconvenient. Apart from the outrageous pickup wait times, which could span for about 30 mins all while the app still says driver is 2 mins away, the driver license registration was wrong. I was expecting the license plate number listed on the app, but in reality it was completely different. I don’t understand why they don’t do driver information check up. We lost a bag on his car, called him very quickly about 2 minutes later, he said he has the bag and has no problem to return to us later on in the day. But for us we still need the cards and everything else in the bag, We are even fine with him just taking the cash he wants and give back the rest but he doesn’t even have the least humanity that most thieves nowadays have to give back the rest of the bag that worths nothing to them. Worst service ever!I will never use this service again! I was left at the airport for over an hour waiting for a ride to arrive and the first driver was not answering my calls or texts, so I was left waiting not knowing what was happening and he never came so I had to cancel. Then the second trip I booked, the app told me the driver was 4 minutes away, but when I spoke to him he was actually 15 minutes away, he also didn’t know where the location was at the airport for collection but it is literally the only option the app gives you for a collection point? Innacurate arrival timeUsed the app a few times now. It’ll have an estimated time when you enter your pickup point, in my experience when the ride is booked it will be double that. I’ve also never had a driver arrive within their own estimated arrival time (it updates live so it will either not change for about 5 mins or will just keep ticking back a few minutes when they get closer). Overall not a huge issue, just very frustrating if your under time pressure because everything takes so much longer..Version: CI.3.34

Charged for trip that never happenedVery glitchy app and no support. First the app said the driver had arrived at my location despite him being 13 minutes away. There was no cancel button available the app allowed the driver to start and complete the trip without ever picking me up or even coming close. Somehow the app calculated that I had been picked up and dropped off and charged me accordingly. Support is useless and haven’t replied to me yet - 12 hours later. They just unofficially borrow your money for up to 10 daysUsed them in the past - not so much of an issue just an alternative to Uber. But wait till you cancel a ride. To be clear - I mean cancel within 2 minutes because the time estimates was ridiculous (central london so should have been quick) They money was actually taken from my credit card. 3 separate chat sessions and each time a completely incorrect copy and paste response stating it’s just a pre-authorisation. Funny, as I am looking at my transactions and I can clearly pre authorisations and transactions. I’ve called my credit card company twice now after being lied to by Bolt. They have confirmed the money has left my account. The last comms from Bolt said it can take up to 10 days and they had the temerity to say it was down to the card issuer- who after (another) call to them confirmed it was 100% down to Bolt. So they lie, and they borrow money without authorisation. What’s the big deal- it’s only £25. We’ll do that enough times and they can do pretty well out of that on money market. Appalling service and terrible securityI have been trying to contact Bolt for months because someone is using my email address to use the Bolt service. I have received zero support from the Bolt team and have tried contacting through email, Facebook, Instagram and the support inbox on the Bolt app. All I have received from Bolt are auto-reply messages telling me to contact my country’s support team. There is NO support team in my country because Bolt doesn’t operate in Australia. The last message I received on the app’s support inbox was “your case has been closed”. Seriously horrific service and I am concerned about their lack of basic security. If someone can use my email address to use their service then doesn’t this open them up to people using fake identities and contact information?? Not reliableI had a really bad experience. First the driver went to the wrong way, which makes me wait for another 10 mins. And then I called the driver but he did not pick up and ignored my call. He continued to drive to the opposite direction. I tried to call the company service to see why the driver could ignore customer’s phone and canceled my trip. Stopped working after one rideI’m a regular Uber rider who wanted to try something new. Worked once but refused to work a second time. Taxify support is hard to find. After finding the email address somewhere else, it took four contacts and eventually they told me that my account had been suspended and to unlock it I had to send a photo of my passport. ?!? Drivers are unprofessionalI’ve been using bolt for a month now. I had a few good journeys but 2 horrendous ones recently. The first occasion I was told to not cross my legs in the car because it “might” touch his chair. So apparently bolt encourages people to sit still and not move in the car, which was the response I got from customer service and no refund. The second time, I had a dental appointment and ordered a cab, the driver came and then he said where are you going? As soon as he found out what the location was, he got frustrated and swore and said “this is too far man I’m tired”. I asked why he had accepted it in the first place if he didn’t want to go too far. I didn’t get any proper explanation and no apology. I was in pain because of my dental extraction too. So I had to cancel from my end because he said he couldn’t do it. He said he would text bolt and let them know. And I messaged Bolt 3 days ago and still no reply. They have charged me £3 for this trip that didn’t happen. The next day my account was disabled, bolt demanded i provide evidence or they will dismiss this case. I didn’t get the money back for the unfinished horrible ride and no “50£” worth of credit. Another angering event was when the driver didn’t wait for me and just left starting the trip (as i said before this app does not provide a chance for the customer to cancel the ride once the driver has started it) it was also a bolt premium. Unprofessional serviceAfter being a regular uber user i thought id give this app a go but just after my first trip I was shocked. the driver was unprofessional the car absolutely stunk and the seats looked like they were covered in some kind of bodily fluid. When I reported this bolt told me they will refund me £2, this amount was never refunded. On my second trip the uber driver was parked across the road from where I wanted to be picked up, he saw me and did not move his car to where I was and waited for me to cross the road and walk over, then once I was seated in his car he took 5 minutes setting his preferred choice of music before setting off which made me late to work. The 3rd time I was paired up again with the driver whos car was an absolute mess and stank so I cancelled the ride. HORRIBLE !!!💔🤬😡Wouldn’t even advise my worst enemy to use this app. It’s a BIG SCAM! I took a ride which was meant to be 4500 but an additional 2k was put to it. I ended up paying 6500 for my ride. After my ride, I got an email from taxify showing the amount the ride was(4500).I quickly sent an email to them saying that I paid 6500 for it and I wanted a refund of 2k back. After carrying out the investigation, they asked me to send my account details so as to make a refund, which I did. For 5Good weeks I kept emailing taxify saying I haven’t gotten a refund back and they kept replying my emails saying they would make the refund soon and I should wait a little. To cut the long story short, I never did get a refund and a two month have passed now. Very disappointed with this companyI am using Taxify in Tbilisi, Georgia. They say one price but charge you with more almost always. Today was my final ride with them. The initial price said 4.10GEL but I was charged with 6.10GEL. Thank you very much, taxify! I am going to delete this app and never use their service again. They used to say a range of price before the update but they've "updated" the app to say only one price which is almost never correct. So don't trust the price it says initially, you will be charged way more. I submitted 2 claims for being overcharged and they sent me promo codes to return the overcharged amount but I am done with the claims, it just keeps happening over and over again. UnsafeI lost my phone in one of their cars in Amsterdam. After three attempts I could get through to the support team via email - only after I could get to my computer. They did not help since the only way to get helped is through their app … which can only be accessed and signed into through your phone. Are you following the wilful / weaponised incompetence? To make things even better, their driver contacted me directly and offered to return my phone for an amount of money that made no sense. When I told this to their support demanding a receipt for this transaction they said that would be impossible and did not seem to acknowledge that this is legally extortion. Terrible experience with app and map and supportBolt let me pick up a scooter in some kind of no parking zone. And only when you start going do you realize the speed is limited to like 1 mile per hour! And you can’t end your session in that zone. So I had to push the scooter (with the brakes on) for over a mile before I could return it. I tried to chat with Help, but they never answered. Extremely frustrating. Also on the bike it would slow down to like 3 mph and be very hard to move in seemingly random places. Maybe coincident with no parking zones or something, but to know you would have to spend a lot of time on the app panning around in the map (which is slow) to preview each part of your route. Bolt is a scam appI called a cap via Bolt during Bank holiday weekend. When I called, the App said it would take 15 min, but when the order accepted it became 22min. I waited for quite a few minutes but saw the taxi on the App map remained no movement still snowing 22min away; also Bolt app told me the driver was in the process of ‘completing another trip’ , so I feel I’d better cancel my trip. But Bolt still charges me £8 for cancellation. I rang customer service, Eonis the guy was very rude and kept telling different excuses. Can government take action to look into consumers being charged for no getting any service ? Highly no recommend anyone to download this App. The first a couple of trips you get discounts then you have to spend 27min waiting for a taxi that suppose to pick you up in 15min. Then for Bolt can’t keep drivers on time but they will still charge you for no getting any taxi. Greed.I've used bolt countless times over the past 2-3 years and i haven't had an issue with it since recently. For me personally i don't care if drivers are on phone calls or if they don't speak but what i do mind is COUNTLESS drivers cancelling rides because they don't feel the journey is long enough or that they don't want to go to that location. I've been left stranded after work at all hours of the night, I've been made late to work even when ordering a cab from an HOUR beforehand. Drivers will accept then it'll say 4 minute away..3 minutes away then all of a sudden they'll cancel and you have to wait another 10 just for someone to accept, the only reason i'm giving this app 2 stars is because the drivers who do accept are actually pretty decent and friendly but other than that 2 stars is definitely too generous. Worse drivers everMy last few trips with boot have got to be the worse ever, not only did a driver come to my pick up point while it was raining as I’m about to get in the car he drove off canceled my trip and said I wasn’t there. All this while I’m 5 months pregnant with my 2 year old and 12 year old. The next day I booked a trip to ikea and the driver asked if he could get his wife as she wanted to go ikea also. At the end of the trip the driver had a cheek to charge to waiting fee when he wasn’t waiting for me I was waiting for him. Never using Bolt againI used Bolt since my friend recommended it to me as it was a bit cheaper than Uber but I have never had so many occasions where the drivers were just so unprofessional. He just kept saying how he’s here and I’m not. And I was telling him I’m right outside and repeated the address to him. He again responded with he was there. Nightmare App for on time!This company is so frikken stupid- I think I was rejected 10x in the app for drivers because my fare was only going to be £7.50 even though it was more than a mile away to walk and I was in a full suit trying to go to a career fair at my university and already late from printing resumes. Never using this app againI used bolt because I have anxiety and problem walking home on my own in the evenings, especially in the new place I’m not familiar with. When trying to book a ride, the driver accepts and up until a minute out I am told they are on their way to fetch me. I can only guess that the drivers are notified of the length of the trip a minute before pickup. If it’s too short or not to their liking they cancel and leave their fare stranded. Do not use this app!!This app is the biggest scam going, constantly the drivers say they’re busy and then they accept only to cancel on you if they don’t like the journey. They constantly cancel the journey and wait for a surcharge increase for ‘increased demand’ before taking your booking. The drivers are rude and unprofessional, they will wait for you to dismount the vehicle when making a stop and then they will cancel the journey and drive off. I once had a bolt driver tell me on a trip that the only reason he still drives for bolt is because he wants to warn people about the sheer level of scamming there is going on. They are allowed at the end of the trip to tack on any fees they like and bolt won’t refund you or bring the driver up against any disciplinary action because they encourage the drivers to do so claiming that partial refunds are against policy. I’ve asked them numerous times to produce the policy in which it says this and I’ve been ignored because it’s a lie. I’ve had drivers not cancel the journey and wait 10/15 minutes before cancelling so they can charge a wait fee and when you speak to bolt customer service they do absolutely nothing to help. I have tried so many times to get technical support, not only do they reply in 12 hour intervals but they are unable to resolve any of the issues I have raised, or provide solutions. Every bolt I have ordered in Australia, without fail, has automatically cancelled due to “technical problems” right before my driver arrives at my door after waiting 8 minutes for them to arrive. I have been in and out of arguments with “technical support” for over a week and am unable to come to any solutions. Unfortunately will have to delete and deactivate my Bolt account. Sham DriversBolt deducted £60 from my card. When I called to report the fraudulent transaction, the Support Staff informed me that the driver claimed I had vomited in his vehicle. This is plainly a faux allegation by the driver, and I am disappointed that Bolt is unable to make a proper inquiry before removing funds from my account. I am neither sick nor drunk to vomit in a car, and I did not do so. Also, I was the only passenger in the vehicle. I have notified the Greater Manchester Police, the Action Fraud Unit, and the UK Financial Intelligence Unit of the National Crime Agency about this incident. If this is not rectified, I will pursue legal action because this is a rising worry among Bolt drivers. I will not hesitate to publish the driver's identity, vehicle and license details so that potential victims/passengers will be wary of him. It is quite sad that sufficient mitigation could not be carried out prior to interfering with my funds. Waste of timeWaited for Bolt for over an hour in Manchester, ride was cancelled multiple times and yet kept showing drivers around. Unfortunately good public transport seems to be lacking in Manchester as well, nothing was available to get me to my destination that was literally only 2.5 miles away. Thank the lord for the black cab drivers because they at least seem to take their jobs seriously. I wouldn’t even bother trying Bolt because you’ll just waste your time and make an already miserable experience of going through the airport even worse. Ireland tripI’ve been using bolt for a long period now. I love it in Estonia but using it in Ireland is just a big mess. I’ve had the biggest disappointment in my life. Taxi we went with had a price of 10.2 euros which is find as a taximeter has shown exactly 10 euros. But… when we arrived, driver turned quickly off his taximeter (I knew exactly what was the price as I saw it) and said its going to cost us 20 eur which he entered into card machine. Payment went in automatically. Driver has said he will fix this and let us go. Nothing… So we contacted the support… Drivers can charge you some additional cost - 2 eur per trip + 1 per each traveller. I mean its ok to pay this. Not sure why it wasnt shown in the app itself. Mediocre equipment, bad app, horrible supportI used Bolt scooters and bikes all over Krakow for several days. I had poor experiences with the Bolt scooters, many being under powered, not recognizing clear corridors between red zones, and misrepresenting the available power. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times, including once just to end a ride because the app froze and wouldn’t let me stop. I also had the app freeze at the end of a group ride and only let me finish one of the 4 scooters in the group. When I contacted support, they kept asking what error message I got, and either because they didn’t understand me, or were being intentionally obtuse, would not accept any explanation I tried to give. I uploaded photos of the scooters parking spots, screenshots of the 1st scooters’s completion and tried to appeal to them using their own data, it to no avail. The poor app ended up costing m an additional 45PLN, more than the original ride cost and their support team refused to refund my money despite the overwhelming evidence I presented. Literal hit or missSometimes they’re decent, which isn’t very often, a majority of the time, they’re downright terrible for my area in the UK. Charged full fare for a journey that did not happenThis is not a good app to use if you live in a suburb where the driver is unlikely to find another fare after dropping you off. Had two drivers cancel the fare last night after accepting through the app, leaving me standing alone on a city street at 2am. Ended up using Uber to get home. This morning I discovered that I have been charged the full fare to my credit car by Taxify for a ride that did not happen. There is no receipt in the app or in email as a paper trail for this charge. There has been no response from their customer service. Trying to contact Taxify is nearly impossible if you are attempting to dispute a charge, Uber is far superior in this regard. Terrible experienceThe GPS function is faulty, it kept trying to place me on the other side of a large train station. Then when I booked a ride it kept saying the driver was 1 minute away for 10 mins but he never showed up. TerriblePossibly the worst first impression that an app could make on a user. Ordered the Taxify driver at around 1am and waited 10 minutes for him to arrive when the app stated an approximate 3 minute wait. Once I got in the car, the driver’s Taxify app wasn’t working and didn’t allow him to start the trip which resulted in me having to pay him in cash for the trip. BAD customer service & hold customer money hostageI’ve used this a few times as an alternative to other such apps. It can be difficult to get a driver at times, & have spent multiples of 30 minutes having bookings confirm & then cancel, it’s generally unreliable. Latest incident was an early morning ride I tried to book for a job, I gave an extra 45 minutes to book a Bolt, again over 25 minutes of confirmed rides appearing & then cancelling (no notification, it just resets, you have to watch the app to know), after a final attempt, I gave up & closed the app, went with another service. 15 minutes later a random cab turns up from Bolt (they didn’t know who the booking was for, which is odd as it should be addressed to me). Anyways, I was charged money for this unconfirmed ride that arrived. I presented this calmly to the customer support, detailing that the app failed to report any confirmed drivers. Customer support only “credited” me as a “one time offer”. I challenged this & stated I did not want to have a credit (I use the cab as an expense, to which the credit will be topped off by me personally), they refused, stating i made the driver wait for no journey. A little back & forth, & no resolution. I fully intend to not use the service anymore, especially as I can’t trust it to actually work, & that they will likely charge me for that failure. It lags and is not current. Driver would have made a turn before the app reflects this. Also the app refuses to pull up my home address when I hail a Taxify. Reckless driving nearly causing an accident.So i took a ride from the place i study to my home with my friend. The driver came after an hour, and lets keep in mind THEY CHARGED ME MORE but thats fine. Then this driver probably had family issues because while we were riding to the destination, my driver was shouting and driving recklessly on the roads. Even drivers were beeping at him. Terrible App that Works about 50% of the timeI’m guessing most of these reviews are paid for. No way have all these people not encountered the same issues I have. I’ve used Bolt for about a year now. The fundamentals of the app are fine if not a little clunky. The issue is with the service. Drivers cancel on your CONSTANTLY. They also intentionally double book. I can only guess this means to get to the general area and see which ride is longer. This has meant at times I’ll wait 10/15 minutes for a Bolt to just have them cancel. Now, at least 10 minutes in the hole I have to start the whole process over. I assume as well that there are no penalties for drivers to do this. Cabify is slightly better but suffers from similar issues. Though they don’t cancel quite as much. FreeNow is better but it can be very hard to get a cab at peak times. The stupid cab union booted out Uber for some time but it’s sort of back and I’ve heard it’s getting better. Either way, when Bolt works, it works fine. I feel scammedI have used the app 3 or 4 times and I thought it was great until today. I booked a cab, I waited outside and I saw him driving past me and leaving my street. I called him many times and he didn’t pick up. I called Bolt customer service and also didn’t respond. I wasted 15 minutes waiting to see if the driver would cancel the trip since he didn’t return, and I had to forcefully cancel it myself as I was already running late to my appointment and I couldn’t sit down there to wait until he felt like cancelling. But Google Maps doesn’t know where the Bolt dead zones are, so I often end up having to stop, flip back and forth between maps, drag the nonworking scooter back out of the dead zone, and try again. This typically happens at least once a trip, and I can see from how the Tallinn city is covered in dead zones that it’s going to happen multiple times today. You have route planning for cars. Would obviously not recommendThis app is really slow compare to the other one the price fare of the ride are not that cheap compare to Uber. I gave this app a try and I had a really bad experience with the app, because it was saying 3 minutes and I had to wait over 10 minutes but without being sure that somebody was coming. Unsafe and bad customer serviceI had a bad experience with an aggressive/impolite driver. I couldn’t find a way to report the misbehavior during the ride. I called the customers service as soon as I arrived to my destination. I was in a hurry, otherwise I would’ve gone to the police station directly. The customer service was busy. I had to call again and again (apparently they were receiving too many complaints to handle them at the same time). I reported the incident, and asked if I can send them the recorded conversation with the driver by email. They said no, upload it through the app, knowing that the app doesn’t have an audio upload tool. I ended up uploading the file on gdrive and sending them the link via the app. Then I called again to check if they received the file. Again, not responsive. After several attempts I was able to reach another customer service employee who was not able to follow up with me because he’s not the one I talked to on the first time. Not worth the cost savingSydney - 80% of the Drivers I’ve booked haven’t turned up, they’ve accepted then literally driven in the opposite direction. There’s no mechanism to report Drivers who don’t show, the job disappears unless you actually rode so they can just keep accepting jobs and messing people around. Support is not in aus, don’t know where it is. Again no mechanism to report or complain. Charged an overseas fee every time I use my Oz card to pay for a ride in Oz. Ask Taxify why, they can’t tell me, presumably it’s because the charge is processed overseas but they can’t tell me that either. Was great in Portugal, terrible anywhere elseBolt has a lot of potential with the great prices it offers compared to Uber. However, I’ve had several trips in a row now in LONDON at peak times where there are no drivers available to pick up. I’ve waited 20, even 35 minutes, to have someone pick up the ride, then have to cancel and use FreeNow or just take public transport and accept being extremely late from these apps failing. No one wants to take the drives or if they do, they wait til waiting times time out and the prices go up due to the “demand” once or twice, til the same nearby drivers finally accept. Even scheduling rides is extremely expensive and still heavily unreliable, as no one may pick up your ride til 25 minutes after your scheduled time, will take 10-15 minutes to get there, and will still charge you for every minute you take extra even if THEY ARE LATE ON YOUR OWN SCHEDULED SLOT 🙃🙃🙃 Feels like an absolute scam, waste of money, and especially of time. These companies need to communicate better with their drivers and incentivize them to take more rides; otherwise, they’ll be losing A LOT of customers from their terrible reputations. No one picks you upI have wasted lots of time trying to book taxis with this app journeys that were either rejected or outright cancelled. Numerous drivers reject your journey (3 or 4 roughly) before you get to one who pretends they will but then cancels just before they are about to arrive. I have often been left stranded due to this. For context, only use taxis when walking is over an hour and public transport is not running. Therefore, when I get rejected I either go on UBer (more expensive but more reliable) or wait (hours sometimes) until a driver will finally accept (mostly at double or triple the advertised price). I’m a youngish woman of smaller build so this is very dangerous. The refund system is also very confusing. This account of my experience has happened in 4 different journeys where I attempted to use Bolt - I have attempted to use them 5 times (so they have a 1/5 success rate). I now deleted the app and try not to go out if I can’t use public transport or walk (or rent a car). If you need to get somewhere by a particular time do not use. Worst drivers everI have been using this app for a year and I have to say it’s the worst app for drivers. Half of your drivers don’t even know how to speak English let alone use the app. Drivers will accept my trip but I’ll watch them drive further and further away until I’ll cancel meaning I get money taken from my account to cancel on a driver that doesn't want to cancel and gain nothing out of it. Another driver didn’t even know how to use the app and accepted my request and then FINISHED my ride 1min later and I was still at home. App testing is keyHey guys I’m usually up for any sort of goal, new product, bug testing etc. however after using the old app when needed there wasn’t a problem. Now, thrust into circumstance I tried for literally 25 minutes on a faulty train home to take a Bolt home and was met by not only an almost completely unresponsive app when tying to update card details but also broken card reader form camera function. Would have undoubtedly adopted a new ride sharer competitor, but not when it has zero usability. Thanks, Max.Version: CI.4.03

Very disappointedMy husband and I are two regulars, we use Bolt almost every day in Malta and sometimes in London. Today I was in London and I needed a car to go to the airport and after waiting several minutes for Bolt to find a driver, we finally found a car that was supposed to arrive in 13 minutes. After several minutes of waiting, the app timer increased the wait to 14 minutes. The car seemed to be stationary and changed direction. So I decided to cancel the race. I was charged £8 for canceling! I tried to contact customer service but doesn't seem to be anyone there. No response despite sending several reminders. This service is very disappointing, especially considering that every month my husband and I leave them a lot of money for various trips. Customer service Bolt London is a joke. From now on I will take Uber when in London..Version: 61.0
