Heart Rate Variability Logger for Positive User Reviews

Update V4.6.8 Working on iPadThank you for the iPad update, have made and saved several measurements. Sensor selection is appreciated. I will check your web site to get more information on the “Workout” correction factor. More aggressive at higher heart rate makes sense but I would like to understand the details better. The addition of DFA alpha1 is quite interesting. I will have to do some research as I have not used this feature in the past. HRV Logger is a great tool for monitoring performance over longer periods of time. Thank You..Version: 4.6.8

Does the app support Fitbit watches?Hello! Love the app, thank you for developing it! I’ve used it successfully with my polar belt, but it is a bit inconvenient to wear it all the time. Can the app sync with my Fitbit watch? When I try to connect Bluetooth, it doesn’t seem to work..Version: 5.1.2

Best serious HRV appThis app is not a simple "show me my stress levels" app (use HRV4Training for that). It will record full HRV details and upload them to dropbox for more detailed analysis..Version: 4.5.5

Interesting data and helps set Aero THUsed alpha one measurement and exported to a numbers to graph against HR. Interesting to see how it changes when you are not recovered also. Would be nice to see pacing information added to data.Version: 5.0.4

Game Changer??Have been using this app over the past week to assess the reliability of using the DFA (alpha 1) metric to locate the Aerobic Threshold (aka ... VT1, LT1) for my athletes at Tri-High Performance. I have only been using a basic Bluetooth chest strap rather than the polar strap that HRV4TRAINING recommend to see if could be rolled out at minimal cost. When used indoors on a bike trainer or treadmill, I have found that a DFA (alpha 1) reading of 0.75, has consistently coincided with around 85% of Lactate Threshold Heart Rate (as determined by the final 20 minute HR of a 30 minute TT). This would certainly correlate very well with established AeT heart rate estimates. To support this, intensities that produce readings above 0.75 have always felt very ‘conversational’ , and intensities that produce values below 0.75 have always felt less than ‘conversational’. I this metric will prove to be a reliable resource to endurance athletes everywhere. I have had issues using it outdoors over variable terrain, but in a controlled environment - it has so far provided me with what appears to be an extremely useful assessment of heart rate at the aerobic threshold..Version: 5.0.3

Simple and clearThis app is simple, no clutter and gives you the possibility to record you HR/HRV, High and Low frequencies for as short or as long as needed. I use it for me and patients to understand things that affects our stress response and inflammation..Version: 4.5.5

Excellent heart rate monitorI use these recordings during atrial fibrillation events to better understand what is happening and give the treating Dr a picture of the duration and range of my HR. The rr values and interpretations of this data are essential to determine the difference between a normal rapid heart rate and the anomalies associated with AF.Version: 4.6.9

Reliable HRV and HR loggingThis app is so practical and elaborate that I cannot recommend it enough. It works flawlessly with my Zephyr HxM Smart chest strap. I am using this app to track my HRV and HR for general monitoring in the morning, exercise, and to track effect of medication which affects my heart. During the day I need to write notes about my condition and the app allows me to add ‘events’, i.e. notes during measurements. That is one great feature. I also like that the app gives you access to full statistics, there is no silly subscription fee. If you are serious about your health and want to learn about your heart, this is a good learning source. One advice: If you use Zephyr device and you have instability problems, you need to soak your sensing strap (but not the circuit unit!) in lukewarm water. It might work for other chest straps as well. I would only recommend the author to change the colour scheme - this blue and green combination seem old fashioned..Version: 4.5.5

Outstanding appCan you make a pebble app or add a companion pebble watchface to this one? I'm sure you are already thinking of the apple watch as well..Version: 4.5.0

Works great!I use HRV4Training (same developer) daily and recommend it to all the athletes that I coach, as it is the best HRV app I've used. I purchased the HRV logging app for extended data analysis, and it works great. I sync'd directly to my Dropbox account (creating CSV files), allowing me quickly import the data into Excel. It has been extremely useful in allowing me to capture HR irregularities (PAC/PVCs), while working, sleeping, exercising or even sitting at my desk (with Bluetooth HR strap). A very effective logging tool!.Version: 4.5.8

FantasticThis is the best HRV app for people who like to track hrv data and then analyze it..Version: 4.6.0

Finally a no BS app.Bloated apps can be infinitely frustrating for data collection and analysis. This app gives you straightforward data collection and analysis with a simple user interface. I will probably purchase other developer apps individually just to support him. Nice to see an app that doesn't try to exploit human weaknesses/impulses or cater everyone at once. 🤗.Version: 4.6.0
