✓ Amazing science museum on an a iPad!This is a fabulous app for interactively exploring the history and workings of science and technology! It's a shame that the app was apparently introduced as "free" with in-app purchases. It must have really been just a very limited demo, requiring a purchase to unlock the full feature set. Such a preview is not a bad business model, but judging from the many one star reviews, people thought there should be more in the free version. Maybe some thought it was a game too -- it's not, but it is a lot of fun! If you have ever enjoyed visiting a science museum, you will love this app. It's like one of those DK science books with amazing photos, but at $10, much cheaper and full of interactive and multimedia content. ✓ Best educational app everI don't normally write reviews but I have been so impressed by this innovative and entertaining educational app that I was compelled to say something. The interactive articles draw you into the story and keep you engaged by constantly presenting information in an entertaining way. My Grandchildren are now using the app to help with their schoolwork, I use the app because I want to broaden my understanding of how our tools and technology originated. ✓ A portable science museum.Writing as someone who has a visual impairment, I have always found myself removed from museum exhibits which are often behind glass and too small/detailed to appreciate from afar. ✓ Outstanding!I could get really addicted to this - it's like a tour round the Science Museum without the tired feet. There are pictures of the items which you can look at from any angle, information about the inventions and biographies of the inventors, and links that you can follow to related items. ✓ Son loves this!My 7 year old son loves this app. He and I are reading it together instead of a bedtime story. For parents I'd strongly recommend this app if your child is into science facts and gadgets. And I particularly rate the ability to interact with the various machines. It's like touching history. Complaints about the price seem a bit harsh when you consider how much a book with similar production values would cost (thinking Dorling Kindersley type books here).
