✓ If you travel abroad you need thisI stumbled across get your guide and was pleased that I had. When you travel abroad and look for activities some of the companies offering the service seem a bit dubious and the last thing you want is to turn up for an event or tour and the company doesn’t exist but with get your guide they offer that peace of mind. I was more than satisfied with the customer service and the end result. ✓ Fantastic!I don’t review apps very often but I had such a great experience with this app I decided to make the effort! I stumbled upon the app by accident buying tickets to see the Alhambra in Granada after all the “regular” tickets had sold out. The guided tour I signed up to via the app was so good I also ended up booking two other experiences on the same trip, which were are also both great - totally made a good holiday into a great one! ✓ Speedboat experienceI would just like to say a huge thank you to the manager Andy. I bought this experience as a gift for my daughters birthday but unfortunately we were stranded on the underground as trains in both directions were suspended, which meant we were unable to make it on time. Andy spoke to various people on our behalf and was able to get us on the next boat, and for that we are so grateful. What an experience! It was worth every penny and would do it again in a heartbeat! ✓ App charged me but no tour bookedOn Jan 20 I tried to book a tour. After completing the booking the app stated that something went wrong but not to worry, they’re working on it. I contacted them after noticing my credit card had been charged, but GetYourGuide stated they had no record of me booking that tour. I was asked to send a screenshot of my charge from my bank. Nothing could get resolved as they still had nothing showing that I’d booked that tour. I then had to contact my bank, who then filed a dispute resolution claim. I’m giving the app 3 stars because I had booked another tour that went through just fine about a month ago. Customer service was also quick to respond. However, I’m reluctant to book another tour with this app as I don’t want to go through this again and possibly lose more money. UPDATE: Victor from GetYourGuide responded promptly and has taken care of the issue. I am giving them 5 stars due to their excellent customer service!.Version: 3.40.1
✓ Very helpfulMy husband and I used this app for 6 different places and events on our honeymoon to Europe. We loved how user friendly it was, and how detailed the directions were. We were glad to see that most of the things needed for the tickets didn’t require mobile data since we wouldn’t be using any on our trip. The emails and reminders about each event were helpful. The entire experience from the moment we got pick up for our hotel to the moment we were drop off afterwards was amazing. Booking is so easy and the communication with the experience providers is excellent. I accidentally double booked tours paying with Credit Card and when I cancelled one, the money was instantly refunded. Another instance I was late for a tour and when I phoned the number supplied for that particular tour, I was told ‘no problem, we can fit you in the next tour’. ✓ Great Customer Service!I had booked a tour using the Get Your Guide app and didn’t realize until too late, that I booked the wrong tour time. Not only had the free refund cancellation window closed, but the missed tour had also already taken place! I used the chat function on the app to contact them just to see if refund was even possible. The customer service agent was very understanding and helpful. They followed up with me through the process of contacting the company, kept me informed of every step, and was able to get me the full refund! ✓ Boston Trolly TourWe booked this tour through Get Your Guide app and it was easy all the way as far as booking, e-tickets, etc and loved that about the app. Two comments…wish information about it was clearer, for eg. It was not typical from our experience as usually we could do one complete loop then go through again and “hop off” at the points of interest. This one you can hop off at any stop but you only get one complete trip around. Second, the trolly stop was at least two walking miles from our cruise terminal, which was ok (beautiful weather) but be sure to allow time for round trip walk. Of course taxis are available but we did think our round trip trolly ride (about an hour ish) was pricy. Guide was a terrific narrator though..Version: 23.43

✓ Plitvice Lakes TourThis tour was wonderful, Marco was very good in explaining the overview of the tour while we were on the bus. Even though the park was very crowded Marco explained the various areas of the areas as we toured the National Park. However, what he did following the tour, along with I Ana and the bus driver is what impressed me most. After disembarking the bus I discovered that I had left my cell phone behind. The bus had departed and I assumed the worst. However I contacted the local tour office where Ivana told me they would see what they could do. Between her, Marco and the bus driver they found my phone on the bus which had by now been garaged quite a distance away. Marco the delivered the phone personally to where I was staying. My mum and sisters were visiting from Australia and we didn’t book many tourist things to do (one Love you the Louvre) so when enquiring about things to do in Paris this app was amazing and very easy to use. I downloaded it and was able to book all the things we wanted to do. The information and details of meeting points (this was wonderful to use on Google maps) and whether to have ID with you for proof of purchase or age was so helpful especially for someone who is not very good with navigation. I would 100% recommend this app to anyone. We were a bit disorganised with what to do in Paris but this app made our trip extra special discovering Paris with our Girls trip, a family of 5! I recently tried this app/company for the first time on an international trip because they seemed so convenient and they had many more tours and opportunities than I had been easily able to find otherwise. However, after booking 3 items through them, I have spent more time on help chat with them tracking down and fixing their mistakes than the time spent on actual enjoyable activities, which is supposedly what they sell - convenient access to activities. My experiences with this company have included waiting in 15 degrees F for an hour for a tour bus that never came, an hour now on the app and phone after that to get that tour refunded, and more recently, more time out of my life after vacation is over tracking down why they are apparently recurring charging me according to my credit card alerts. Thanks Get Your Guide for enriching my life! I will say that their customer service people are very friendly (they clearly get alot of practice), however, I prefer companies that get it right in the first place. ✓ 4 hour small bus tour to SachsenhausenWe took this trip because it was the nearest concentration camp to Berlin where we were staying for 4 days. The mini bus was new and clean and our tour guide - Cian - was excellent. Our 2 teenage grandchildren were with us and it was a good introduction for them to the unspeakable horrors perpetrated during WW2 without being overwhelmingly horrific. Cian’s explanation of the lead-up to Hitler’s election as Chancellor beginning with defeat in WW1, through hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic and the animosity between communists and fascists was enlightening. His presentation was clear, concise and very informative. I thoroughly recommend this trip - given completely in English..Version: 23.26
✓ Arabian Nights 💫This trip was seamless from start to finish. The driver was professional, friendly and ensured we wore seatbelts- Thank You. The transport was comfortable, beautifully smelling and clean. We was dropped right outside the main entrance to Farsha Cafe and collected from the same location (inside the cafe at your own expense), Sherrif was easy to locate and we was collected on time. The cafe was beautiful, a hidden must see gem and a perfect way to finish our trip. The drinks were large in size and plentiful for the price, I would recommend arriving before sunset to see the two different atmospheres, it is magical when the lights turn on and the Arabian dance happens! The Old Egypt/ Market trip was wonderful, Sherrif informed us of Egypts history along the route and only took us to trusted/ local priced stores- Thank You. The store owners were friendly, not pushy and Sherrif was on hand for advice. We was taken for a Sugar Cane drink, a lovely unexpected addition and given a local currency gesture all bought by Sherrif, this was perfect! Il est à l’aise en anglais et en français et il s’est ajusté au groupe dont une partie parlait français et une autre en anglais. Il serait toutefois sage, pour ceux qui choisissent l’activité en fonction de la langue du guide de regrouper des personnes de cette langue ! Une activité extraordinaire à ne pas manquer ! Visites notamment de deux vignobles, un plus petit avec un super accueil pour y déguster trois vins différents et des huiles d’olive avec une vue à couper le souffle et une merveilleuse dégustation ! Deuxième vignoble également très intéressant pour y déguster différents portos et visiter la cave avec des explications forts intéressantes. Petite croisière également pas trop longue pour apprécier le paysage ! La logistique pour les guides du bateau devrait être mieux organisée afin que chaque groupe puisse bien entendre l’information transmise et intéressante sur les divers vignobles ! J’étais assise à l’extérieure ! Le tout pourrait être simplement précisé sur place ! S’il y a une activité à faire pour ceux qui visitent Porto, c’est celle-ci ! ✓ Safari experienceWe booked the evening desert safari through the app. So easy to do and the WhatsApp communication to help was amazing. We had the most fantastic evening and our driver Asif was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable about Dubai and gave us the best customer experience from start to finish. His driving on the dunes was exhilarating but we felt safe at every moment. ✓ Mount Batur Sunrise trek and hot springsOur Driver Sapri was excellent he picked us up from our accomadation drove us to Mount Batur where Patra our guide took us to the top of mount Batur cooked us a wonderful breakfast and made us tea and coffee to watch the sunrise. Patra told us about the volcano and took us to see the steam coming off one of the internal walls. We walked back down the mountain with Patra and thanked him for his time and knowledge and jumped back in the car with Sapri who then drove us to the hot springs and back to our accomadation via a coffee plantation where we tasted a number of coffees and teas. ✓ Wonderful e-bike tour today!!We had the most surprising tour today with a young guide. He was an art historian and painter. So knowledgeable about each stop on the tour. It covered all the major Paris sites. He has a beautiful commentary and wonderful positive outlook on Paris and the world. He also spoke wonderful English as well as German and French! The e-bikes and people and cars took one second to get used to but once we got going it was quite easier to sort out, just be smart and don’t ride in front of a car just as you wouldn’t at home. ✓ Safe and reliableI have used GetYourGuide twice now and both times were flawless. The friendly guides pick you up on time, and they are knowledgeable about their tour. I went to the DMZ in South Korea and the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary In Phuket, Thailand. Both times I booked the tour alone because no one in my group wanted to go. I was a little worried about being a young female and doing excursions alone, but I felt safe the entire time. The guides offered to take pictures for me since I wasn’t with anyone. ✓ Easy to use and a bit frustratingI received four vouchers each worth $500, and wanted to book a tour for six people BUT… you can only enter one voucher per order and one didn’t cover it. So I thought okay, I’ll do separate reservations and the balance will carry over. Well I thought wrong! After I entered a gift card voucher it’s not captured in their system and I have to keep entering it until it’s used up. I can’t combine the remaining balances from different vouchers to use on another activity. So kind of a pain, and probably designed so you leave a balance on each voucher. ✓ Absolute best day!The tour was absolutely incredible, each place we visited seemed to be better than the last. The day was packed with historic and scenic sites which were almost unreal. The tour would not have been anything like it was if it wasn't for our fantastic host, Joey. From 6.50am when we first met and everyone was tired and groggy, Joey lifted the mood with his positive and happy attitude. Within the first hour he felt like a friend more so than a tour guide. Throughout the entire tour he made us feel more than comfortable, but rather at home, by having the best chat, jokes and friendly banter. His friendly and funny attitude made the tour entertaining even when we were all just in the bus going to the next site. He also told us many fun facts about Melbourne and different events since he's been a local here his whole life. My highlight was when he played 'Dance Monkey' by Tones and I after my girlfriend told him I was a huge fan. He then told us he was at her wedding in Bali which made my day. You can leave your valuables anywhere you want without the worry of anything going missing, plenty of places to get food and drink 100% recommend getting the fast track pass as even though the morning is quiet ish in the afternoon it gets really busy so with fastrack longest time queuing was about 10 mins. Staff a credit to the park only downside is a lot of walking up stairs to get to the start of the slides so it’s extremely exhausting also the protective sock footwear they give you will not be adequate as the ground is so hot it will start to burn your feet so a tip is to ask for a second pair for a bit of extra protection. ✓ Excellent day on the sea!Our family of 4 (2 teenage boys) each loved this trip! The cat was spacious and the scenery was amazing. We swam, snorkelled and just enjoyed the water and sailing! The staff was friendly and professional. ✓ A really good serviceWhen spending quite a bit of money not only on your holiday but then on a guide, you want it to be right. I used this company for a couple of tours (& also another company that also advises about trips!) to get comparisons. Our guide was at the meeting point well before the advertised time, was welcoming, and very authentic - both guides were locals so injected there knowledge with further background info. There guides were like history lesson and all the topic was covered. Came away thinking I had definitely learnt about the subject. If there was one thing I would change - do your homework before you go! We were slightly rushed, but this was not the guide, it was due to the amount of people actually visiting the same place at the same time. The skip the queue is fab, but, when the place is rammed by other tourists it’s not easy to get the best views, and spend as little much time as you would have liked. An example would be, for me I fortunately booked a night time tour of the Colosseum and I am glad I did as day time it was heaving (although apparently once upon a time it could seat 50,000!)..Version: 3.21.2

✓ 3 day tour from Edinburgh to InvernessHad a great time, such a beautiful place! Most importantly the children loved it. They're favorites were the mountains, waterfalls, the ocean view (seeing the orcas fins), feeding the Hairy Coos, and most of all the many double rainbows on the Isle of Skye. Pictures cannot capture it properly. The Isle of Skye was breath taking. Waterfalls were all over the many gorgeous mountain sides. I think we saw more rainbows in a day than I have in 10+years. The castles and ruins were very stoic and beautiful even in the rainy/foggy days. We stopped and saw so many historic places and events. Getting to see where the historic Jocobite battle took place at The Culloden Battle Field was very cool. The Quiraing Walk/Mountain/ Cliff was amazing, and quite the adventure getting there. ✓ Pompeii and Herculaneum toursWe are staying an hour or so away from both sites and have a hire car. We therefore decided to go to both sites in one day. Booking was easy on line either through web browser or the App which is required for downloading the vouchers once booked. Both tours were well organised. Everyone one supplied with a Bluetooth earpiece which connected to the guides microphone. Both guides were well informed and clearly very passionate about their subject. They spoke clearly and gave enough time for questions. We felt very well informed. Clearly in two hours only snapshots of each site can be covered, but if you have the time its possible to wander about on your own once the tour has finished.
