LinkedIn Recruiter for Negative User Reviews

Zero support for this toolIf you use this feature do not expect to find any live support, online or by phone. The online chat button seems to magically appear and disappear. If all goes well, this tool seems fine enough, but that’s a big gamble for the money you’re spending..Version: 2.2.8.1

Good when it worksI was pleasantly surprised by this app becoming available, and how well it lets me handle basic LI recruiter functions on my phone, but over the past 72 hours I am completely unable to open it. It crashes whenever I attempt to open the app. Please fix, as this is a useful tool when I'm not in the office..Version: 1.0.2

UselessCan't reply to messages - just get 'message could not be sent' Formatting when viewing profiles is horrible No search function.Version: 1.4.3

Pretty uselessDoesn’t give many options, cannot search with filters, very basic use. Not what you would expect from the expensive Recruiter app!!!.Version: 2.0.1

Fails to deliverThe app doesn’t work, I get notifications of messages but the inbox never loads, projects don’t show up in the folder and every second action is met with an error..Version: 2.0.1

Poor appGiven that LinkedIn charge such a high amount monthly for LinkedIn recruiter license, and no doubt has a huge customer base, it would be sensible to invest in an useful app. The current app is very bad. The searching tool is next to pointless, the UI/UX is awful too. It’s only useful for viewing who is in a project, which isn’t really that important. The idea of a mobile app is when you are away from your pc, you can continue to search for talent and keep the recruitment world moving. This dark ages app doesn’t allow that. I’ve paid for and used LinkedIn recruiter on my pc for 5 years...I’ve deleted the app after 48hrs. It’s that bad..Version: 1.5

The worst app you’ll have.LinkedIn charges $5,000 for the Recruiter product and to put this app out is nothing short of appalling. It’s actually offensive to charge what they do and not bother with a decent, functional app. UX is weak and as for UI... it looks like they tested it with blindfolds on. I’d give this a 7/100 - just because you can see your inbox (separate to the other app).Version: 1.5

Nothing worksLiterally nothing works in this app. Barely able to login, and then get an error message. Not even adapted to screens post iPhone4. Clearly been abandoned by LinkedIn. Funny when this is the app their paying customers would use. Shame on you Linkedin..Version: 1.5

Only search and messagingHorrible app. No way to view projects or existing candidates. This app simply searches and messages. You have access to a small fraction of what you can do on the website. If an app can’t relocate its associated site’s functionality then what’s the point?! It feels like someone read a scrum book and mistook the need for a minimum viable product with the same thing as a public release. Alienate your audience with a poor quality app and all your development is for naught..Version: 2.0.3.2

BrokenAs a hiring manager the app is completely broken. Never loads any candidates for the project (job opening). Sent in a ticket - weeks later no response or fix. Only works on website..Version: 2.02

Not functionalI can see my projects. Can’t enter them. Un-usable..Version: 2.0

Use to work but now it’s waaaay to buggyI’m a recruiter and use this more than most other apps. But it’s become unusable. How can an organisation this big not have the team/infrastructure to build a useable app 🤔.Version: 2.2.10

Doesn’t workAnytime I try to go inside a project it says I have no project and kicks me back out to my list of active projects..Version: 2.02

Probably the worst oneAlright, I usually do not post negative reviews but this app has put me off in such a way I do not have a choice than leaving a review. Messages do not work. The push notifications do not have message content and the navigation is pointless. This is a very sub optimal experience and shouldn’t be here. There is no way to see applicants info. Only pipeline data is there and again no messages context once you open a candidate file..Version: 2.0.3.2

Can’t switch accountsLying astronomically for a service I would like it to work. I am paying for a full recruiter seat but on mobile it automatically logs me in to recruiter lite. There formerly was a button in settings that would allow you to switch back and forth between your seats, but it seems to have been removed. Why make it so complicated?.Version: 2.2.2

Worst app I’ve ever usedThis app doesn’t work at all. It doesn’t show any of my messages that are in my LinkedIn recruiter account. We pay 10K USD per year to use this service and LinkedIn’s mobile app is absolute trash. When will you guys fix this? Totally unacceptable..Version: 2.0.1

Hopeless appDid an intern make this app?.Version: 2.02

Worst appWhat a backwards application considering how much we pay for a recruiter license..Version: 1.5

Messaging issueUsed to be perfect. Now none of my pre loaded templates will not come up while trying to message someone. Please fix!.Version: 2.3.4

Terrible Customer Service and Awful GlitchesLinkedIn Recruiter has awful glitches that affect your ability to recruit. I’ve contacted customer service many times and have gotten no response for the same issue. They need to invest in better customer service..Version: 2.3.5

Feels like a demo app on an iPhone 3GClunky and hard to work with. Doesn’t even have current jobs section so you can see who’s applied for your jobs. It’s basically just searching for candidates to add to a folder that you’ll need to sort out when you get back to a computer..Version: 1.5

Very dated with limited functionalityNeeds a MAJOR update. Still ok for notifications and messages, but far behind their general app aimed at users who don’t pay for RPS.Version: 1.5

ShithouseAbsolutely appalling and pointless.Version: 1.5

Amateur hour app + amateur hour dev responseDeeply broken login UI. Then, once scrolling through a list of search results the UI switches out to ‘Messages’, with zero navigation elements available to return to the search I was scrolling through. Not ready for release - absolute garbage. And the dev response to this note? Uninstall and reinstall … and if it’s still broken, send us an email. As Greta might say “we’re really sorry blah blah blah … have you tried uninstalling blah blah blah”. No LinkedIn - not sending you an email - I’ve already given you enough information to investigate. My apps auto-update. This blah response just serves to increase friction in getting feedback that you might lead to you actually doing some work to fix this. You want another note? On iPadOS you can’t save a search. I mean what the actual ..? It says to go use the web page?! In an app!!? This stinks of some sideline app that an intern worked on and ran our of time and now nobody looks after it. Well done LinkedIn - I took you up on part of your suggestion … app deleted..Version: 2.2.5

Not intuitiveThe app doesn’t show any candidates that already at my clipboard on web. It doesn’t even show the jobs I’ve posted.Version: 2.0.3.2

Why is this app so bad?Given that linked in charges so much for Recruiter licences and also how much they turn over as a business you would think they could spend a bit on a decent app!? It could at least let you view your messages properly and update once you’ve read them. It surely isn’t that complex? Probably the worst app I’ve ever used, not sure anyone even bothered to test it!.Version: 1.5

SeriouslyFor a company the size of LinkedIn you’d think they’d be able to design a decent recruitment app. Why can’t this be as simple a tinder.. super week app.. makes even harder to organize candidates and look at resumes...Version: 2.0.3.2

TrashAll that money earned from licensing and this is the app we get in return. Trash.Version: 2.02

Not “Recruiter” Not “Recruiter lite”- horribly crippled subset of web app featuresThe app launches and opens to "inbox" and is limited exclusively to messaging and candidate searching. None of my (many) existing project folders are visible or accessible directly from any of the main app control buttons. There is no apparent way (or button) to add new project folders in the app from any of the app control buttons. . Candidate search results show candidates tied to existing project folders but those viewable folders are inaccessible. you cannot access project folder, add candidates to existing project folders Basically, the project folders (that are only visible in search results) are not actually usable as normal. This app is a horribly crippled version of web app and prior IOS version which had full access to and manipulation of project folders. It's not actually "Recruiter Lite" and it is not usable for any recruiter that is sourcing on the go from their ipad. I’ve spent the past month with LI enterprise support with zero progress other than continual requests for more info including screen recordings. They have no comprehension of how integral project folders are to recruiting process and the app itself..Version: 2.1.9

PoorJust so bad - sort it out LinkedIn! Functionality is clunky on iPad. Stop selling the benefits of a recruiter account if you won’t invest in the app as much as the free account!.Version: 2.0.1

Shockingly bad- Cannot properly search candidates - Can only see inbox, not sent items or any other types of InMails - Doesn’t always notify if you receive a response to your InMails - Terrible design Just useless for an app when we pay over £100 a month for the Recruiter service.Version: 1.5

UselessCan’t even see candidates who have applied for a position unless you already have them in the ‘pipeline’ from desktop web.Version: 2.0.5

Absolutely atrocious.I don’t know how LinkedIn have allowed this application to remain on the App Store after a year of no updates. The app is slow, buggy and STILL unoptimised for IPhone. In terms of features; What features? There’s no real search functionality, and it messaging is still limited. It would be better to pull the app off the store than allow this to be a user experience for your paying customers..Version: 1.5

Good but...I would like to see the people that applies to my open position and with the app I can’t do that..Version: 2.1.5

Terrible performanceGiven people are paying between $130 - $1000 per month to utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, I’m shocked by how terrible the app is. The performance is horrendous. It freezes when scrolling down/attempting to load more profiles for a good 15/25 seconds. The app crashes in the middle of setting filters. On the latest version, latest iphone, and it’s been happening for 6+ months..Version: 2.1.6

The Worst! The app has so many glitches and doesn’t ever notify my when I have a message. I miss so many messages from potential candidates that it makes me look bad and has hurt my career. For being as big of a company as they are and having the technical resources at their fingertips, I’d expect far more from them. It’s sad..Version: 2.2.6

MessagesStill not getting my push notifications on the app. Any fixes? Thanks..Version: 2.2.10

HorribleTerrible interface with annoying “Shake phone to find candidates to hire” pop up that comes up constantly and prevents you getting any work done..Version: 1.5

Appalling! As clunky and useless an app as I have ever used. LinkedIn Recruiter deserves a decent mobile platform to support desktop but this simply isn’t fit for purpose. Come on LinkedIn, what are you playing get your act together. With the extortionate fees we’re paying for this service we deserve better!.Version: 1.5

Annoying popup requesting updateOn every open, the app asks you to update to a new version even if you’re on the latest version. For a $1k/mo product, pretty miserable.Version: 2.0

Doesn’t workWon’t load any searches? Also has lots of glitches and seems to freeze. Should probably fix before you let people download..Version: 2.02

AmateurThe app just lacks all the most basic functionality of any normal app and then doesn’t even have a 100th of the capability available on the desktop version. Given how much recruiters pay for a LinkedIn recruiter licence, it’s pretty atrocious that they can’t even invest a smidgen into making a half decent app. Come on LinkedIn....Version: 1.5

PoorThis app is relatively useless versus the computer program. Especially disappointing is the messaging which only shows incoming messages and not outgoing to contacts. Hopefully many more improvements are forthcoming..Version: 1.5

Doesn’t workI have 2 job openings. They show up in the app but when I click on one to view candidates it says I have “no projects”. On desktop I have a dozen applicants waiting, the app simply doesn’t work..Version: 2.02

Immediately brokenI have one job posting, created via web. It appears as a list item but cannot be viewed. The pipeline and recommended candidates features cause loading spinners to appear but then stop, reverting to the list view. Not a good look for a company of LinkedIn’s caliber..Version: 2.0.1

No FunctionalityI cannot view my current projects or add candidates to a project..Version: 2.1.5

Complete disregard for employersFix this app.Version: 2.0.1

Quite possibly the worst app I’ve usedHow has a company like LinkedIn released such an absolute shambles of an app. It’s almost unusable. Surely your Dev team are better than this??? SURELY!!!!.Version: 1.5

Updated version is terribleHow do I uninstall??.Version: 2.0.3.2

Why hasn’t LinkedIn figured this out yet? This would help recruiters sooo much if the app worked correctly. I can’t even log into my account..Version: 2.0.4

Barely functioningWhy roll a triumphant new version out when it’s broken. I have 3 postings and I can’t see anything other than the fact that they exist. Instead of seeing the applicants I see “coming soon.” Search filters don’t match those on web. What’s the point of this app? All I can do is manage my inbox - no ability to effectively do recruiting..Version: 2.0

Does not let me get past login screenAfter entering my password it just sends me back to the login screen over and over. Cant even get it to work at all, even after changing password..Version: 2.2.1.1

RubbishCant even sign in. No problems signing into recruiter on desktop. Fix!.Version: 1.5

One of the worst apps I have ever usedQuite honestly this is terrible. For a company the size of LinkedIn, and taking into account the money a recruiter Licence costs us, you would expect something cutting edge, glossy and most of all, useful. Unfortunately, the opposite is true as this is such a basic app that looks like it was made as a failed school project, please redesign from the ground up as a working recruiter application would be very useful 😀.Version: 1.5

Don’t update!!!The new version is much less usable for searching and adding to projects. You cans not add people from a search to a project. You can not save a search. Features have been downgraded..Version: 2.0

Needs Significant ImprovementThe interface for messaging has consistent formatting issues. I’m extremely limited in what I can do with LI recruiter unless I have access to a computer. This shouldn’t be the case given how much it costs. I wish I could just reply to candidate messages through email..Version: 2.0.3.2

Like going back in time...This app is terrible. Bad UI and also very very limited functionality means it’s frustrating to say the least. I work in talent acquisition and should be using this day in day out but I can’t because in a mobile capacity it’s terrible. LinkedIn need to sort this out now especially considering the premium they charge for the recruiter account..Version: 1.5

Pathetic, don't waste your time. Can't do anything with projects, can't view ads or candidates. It might as well just be a messaging app. At leasts it lives up to the usual standard we expect from LinkedIn..Version: 1.2

LinkedIn RecruiterHorrible. Wish I hadn’t updated from the previous version. I’ve lost 3/4 of the functionality. How has this been marketed as an improvement??? If you’re reading this and you have an older version DON’T UPDATE it!.Version: 2.0.5

Something Is Wrong...Love the new look, but every time I open the updated app it has a pop up that says “Update to the latest version for the best experience” and then I am automatically put over to the app store. Here’s the best part! Instead of a download icon to get that “best version” there is the open app icon, which sends me right back to the app. And so on...vicious loop!.Version: 2.0

Zero starsCan’t even get past the login screen. Says the app is not available on mobile. Literally no way to manage the applications for the jobs we’re paying for via a mobile interface. Shocking..Version: 1.5

Lacks important featuresCan’t start projects, save candidates to projects, etc..Version: 2.2.3.1

OkNeeds more 'project' capabilities. It's functionality is poor. Does do much more than the normal app.Version: 1.4.3

Still a second class appYes, it’s been made to look and feel better, and even has functional improvements to its first iteration (that was awful), but when you pay £20k plus for several licences you’d expect a better app. Messages: wow, how painful is it to know that your messages don’t send when dealing with applicants for roles. I’ve sat waiting for replies for days, losing great candidates, wondering why they’ve not replied - when finally realising they haven’t had the message send. Raised this with the tech team SO many times and they give ‘zero cares’ (I want to use a stronger word). Then there is the synergy with desktop platform. How hard it is to make the same functions available through the app. I get you have to scale down, but I am absolutely sure you can make the functions work. I compare this app to the QuickBooks desktop versus app comparison. Desktop great. Apps are pants! Following Developer response: No, I do not want to fill out a form and waste my time giving you ‘suggestions’. The suggestions are real issues that are highlighted here..Version: 2.1.5

Disappointing embedded browser appSeems like very little thought went into the UX of this app. The UI is slow and looks just like their mobile website. The projects list shows all projects, even the ones not relevant to me. I’ll stick to my desktop browser until this app gets a massive update and some UX and developer love..Version: 1.5

It doesn’t workCompletely useless. I can’t access projects or pipelines. When are you going to fix this??.Version: 2.0

Doesn’t work most timesHope they get this fixed. As a Recruiter, this should be a top App that I can use but it isn’t and that is disappointing..Version: 1.5

TerribleIt just doesn’t work at all, all I wanted to use it for was to read messages on LinkedIn recruiter over the weekend and in the evenings but the app doesn’t open....Version: 1.5

Doesn’t show job adverts placedI’m running three job vacancies on LinkedIn Recruiter. I downloaded the app so I can access the applicants CVs received when I’m not it the office. It doesn’t list my adverts. Ridiculous and a complete waste of time!.Version: 1.5

Poorly madeIt hasn’t been updated in 3 years. Not sure why no resources have put into a product for paying users. Simple functionality like being to view a messaging thread aren’t made available..Version: 1.5

Piece of garbageI would have expected a better app for premium users of this service. Shame on you..Version: 1.5

This app is uselessLinkedIn Recruiter is not cheap. The UX is terrible both on the web version and on the app. The app shows my list of projects but when I click on my pipeline which has candidates in it, it spins and returns to my list of projects. This has persisted through at least one or two updates. I have been using this app for months, well, I’ve had it downloaded for months and have never been able to use it. Do better LinkedIn.Version: 2.02

Has potentialThis app would be great if it worked. What I’m finding is when candidates submit a video response, you cannot view it in the LinkedIn app - it takes you to your browser to sign in. This would be fine, however it asks you to sign in (even if you already are) and then shows an error message. I’ve tried to ‘go back’ out of the error message, to check my sign in details are correct, but it won’t allow that, so it’s stuck. Unfortunately I can’t do what I need to on the app which hopefully can be changed..Version: 2.1.1

UnderwhelmedTo say this is a bare-bones app would be an understatement. It's borderline useless. The messaging is so rudimentary and the search logic is "ok" at best..Version: 1.5

Why does this app update every time it’s opened? So annoying.Version: 2.0

Bizarrely uselessGiven that you cannot search for candidates or add candidates to a to recruitment project, there really is almost no value to this app at all. Sure, there’s a messaging and notification facility but really? Is that it. Please delete the abomination LinkedIn. Thanks.Version: 1.5

What a joke"Your recruiter account is not eligible for mobile access".Version: 1.5

Linked is lostDropped my premium account I had for both myself and as an employer. I don’t need another platform to look at more political posts. As an Employer: Seems the site is no longer really about gaining applicants or making meaningful business connections. Most people don’t respond or even apply through linked anymore. As an Employee: Employers/recruiters aren’t really reaching or trying to attract people to positions. Only positions people aggressively reach out to you about is all commission based jobs or trying to get you to buy some service. I loved the idea of linked in. However, I think it’s headed into a position of no return if the company doesn’t figure out it’s purpose and how to deliver it..Version: 2.2.8.1

Pretty poorI think the main app is better. It will tell you about new candidates matching your saved searches or people who've looked at your profile but when you click on them, it says no results. Therefore useless. Searching for candidates is very basic and no better than the normal version. Can't filter on anything useful. Shame as it could be great. Devs should test it with actual recruiters first..Version: 1.4.1

What a waste of timeCannot even log in now. Have reinstalled umpteen times. Useless and no-one seems to care as there is no competition.😠.Version: 1.5

A few flawsIt’s a good product but some flaws: 1- You can’t create and save new templates in the app 2- You can’t adjust for timeline of when you sent messages (only all or nothing) 3- There should be a choice of 15 miles (not just 10 or 25) in distance 4- Much more cities need to be loaded in.Version: 2.3.6

The worstNot updated in 3 years tells you all you need to know! Not even native for the new iPhones! We pay thousands a year for this, but what the lack of update/effort for this app tells me is that LinkedIn don’t actually care about Premium users! (Unless you use Sales Nav apparently)..Version: 1.5

Zero functionality in a useless appHow dare anyone publish this? Zero functionality, clunky. I pay a pretty buck for recruiter lite and this is what I get?.Version: 1.5

Push NotificationsIt’s 2021. LinkedIn is owned by one of the largest companies on Earth in Microsoft. And you can’t figure out how to send push notifications on the iOS app? Hopefully one of the 1000+ engineers working for you can figure this out..Version: 2.2.0

Urgent need of an upgradeWow, considering the size and reputation of LinkedIn this is a truly terrible mobile app version. Not least considering people/businesses are paying a lot of money for a license fee. Needs a lot of work!.Version: 1.5

Wow the bad reviews are all trueThis is a terrible app. Hope they invest in recruiter on the actual linked in app - devices are where I do my work on the commute in or out of work. Seriously bad.Version: 1.5

Pretty goodIt’s great. My only suggestion is to allow more in mails. And why do I need a nickname when posting a review? I cannot help that my nickname is taken and cause it is, it isn’t posting..Version: 2.1.4

Could easily be betterNot as good as the desktop version, by far. No access to projects and jobs..Version: 2.1.8

Stuck in the pastThis app would have been awesome in 2009 on an iPhone 3GS. But it’s not great on an iPhone X 2018..Version: 1.5

PoorNot as useful as previous version and not optimized for newer iPhones. Horrible..Version: 2.0

By name only. This is not even worthy of a 1st generation app, does nothing to support mobile working. Considering where the industry is and price paid to use recruiter I cannot understand why LinkedIn has put no investment into this. Not even worth download..Version: 1.5

Almost pointlessReally disappointed to find that I could not edit or end job postings. I downloaded this app because I am having major issues with the desktop version of LinkedIn job postings, I cannot view or manage any of my jobs for some reason. I was disappointed to find that I can view my job postings on this app but the only other thing I can do is manage messages from candidates. It’s almost pointless of LinkedIn to create this completely separate app which serves next to no purpose at all..Version: 2.0.8

Worst appMessages don’t go out with single send click. Text editor isn’t enabled unless you kill and relaunch the app. Yuck!!!.Version: 2.1.5

Quite possibly the worst appAwful! Doesn’t work! Can’t read messages correctly. Doesn’t search! Just awful! Don’t waste your time downloading this!.Version: 2.0

Doesn’t work.App doesn’t load my projects or recommended candidates. Can’t use mobile recruiter site either as that directs to use the app which isn’t working, so I can only access Linkedin recruiter from my laptop. Wish I’d known this before I spent £50 on posting a job advert!.Version: 2.02
