✓ Fix your gems system.I used to LOVE playing this game, I played it religiously and also tried to log in every day in order to get the daily 2 gems. Ever since the update (the one that changed the whole in-game currency system) it’s basically impossible to be able to get enough gems for upgrades in an appropriate amount of time without having to buy them. The daily rewards system was completely changed and made it even harder to get gems and the slot machine only gives TWO gems now??? Instead of the 15?! You even kept the prices for upgrades and unlocking restaurants the same cost although you’ve made it harder to get gems.. You added a 12 gem reward for completing a restaurant with full stars, but how are we supposed to get there when we can’t even afford the upgrades? It does not make sense. The first 6 reviews I’ve seen for this app complained about gems being hard to get. Some of those reviews were from a YEAR ago (pretty sure that was before the big update)… This will definitely make you lose A LOT of old/long time players, because you’ve lost me now. Either make it easier to earn gems again or make the cost for upgrades and unlocking restaurants lower (gems-wise). ✓ DO NOT DOWNLOAD.I’ve seen hundreds of reviews the same yet the developers are choosing to ignore feedback to focus on greed instead. First restaurant was great. Second started out great but then as I was nearing towards the end I had no gems and could only get gems by levelling up once a blue moon or paying for them, so I couldn’t upgrade or get 3+ stars on the levels. As a student I don’t have a lot of money so this game was really fun, but I physically cannot excuse spending the amount of money I have done and still not being able to progress. Another thing is with the second restaurant they don’t add some of the coins you earn to the total bar making you get 2 stars instead of 3, so then it makes you upgrade your products which makes you spend more money. It’s a shame the developers greediness and ignorance has led to so many people complaining and deleting the app. I don’t mind spending £1/2 on each restaurant but anymore than that and still not being able to progress is an actual joke. There should be other FREE ways for people to get gems, I.e watching a video, or liking your page on Facebook, Twitter, or after say every 5/10 levels if you get 3 stars on them all. ✓ THE most greediest developers to exist.I’ve been playing for a few years now and the newest update not only makes it harder than it already is it make gems, but also they took away our main source of getting coins!!! You use to be able to get SO many daily coins from the restaurants you have bought and completed, but no more. You just get a SINGLE box for 12 gems and THAT’S IT. Moreover, the daily login rewards also got more greedy!!! It use to be up to 7 days and on that 7th day, you’ll get like 5 gems everyday if you log in consecutively after those 7 days. Now, it’s a whole month worth that BARELY gives you anything!! On top of that, it resets to the lowest tier reward after each month even though you’ve been logging in each day! And those little “surprise” boxes you get now and then from those daily logins is even LOWER than what you’re progressively getting from logging in for that month. I use to also be able to play the casino all the time from all the coins you get from the restaurants but now I can’t get coins OR gems. They are literally shoving prices down our throats on one-time “special” ads to buy gems and coins DAILY just to get money from us!! I then bought a gem package for £9.99 because they were offering 125 gems plus 125 free gems, great! I went ahead and bought this package. 250 gems were added to my game. I then discovered that a further £4.99 had been taken from my account at the same time. But no further gems were added to my game. I emailed the game support immediately and they looked into it. They couldn’t answer my questions about not receiving any additional gems for the extra charge or this was obviously a mistake. They just said that I’d made that purchase and that was that. I continued to email them and was totally ignored. I then contacted apple support and was thankfully refunded by apple. Watch what you purchase and check your bank account. You won’t get your money back. It’s your word against theirs. I’d never use this game again. And as soon as my gems are gone I’ll be deleting this game. ✓ Only because of gems.....This game is great and I absolutely love playing it, BUT I am seriously reconsidering finding a new cooking game to play. The gems are basically what run this entire game and are EXTREMELY hard to come by. You only get them for logging in every single day(only after a week of doing so daily) and then you only get 2 each day, or by leveling up which can take quite some time depending on your levels and restraint upgrades, or trying your luck at the casino and lastly by buying. Basically you have to buy them. You get TONS of coins upon coins upon coins but can’t do anything with them except play the casino or go towards buying a new restaurant(along with 20-30 gems). There needs to be a way to buy gems with the coins or more ways to earn coins easier. I have bought over 1200 gems during sales when you can buy 300 for $9.99 but it still hasn’t gotten me very far. I have already unlocked two whole other worlds with new restaurants and am still stuck playing the same levels because I don’t have enough gems to level any of my food/kitchen equipment or the interior of my restaurant lobby. Some of the simple upgrades for kitchen stuff take up to 20 gems just to upgrade one level out of three for each ingredient and cooking item. Please seriously consider making some changes to this because I don’t want to stop playing but I will be forced to like my son because of lack of gems. After you’ve followed their social media and invited all your friends there are no other ways to earn free gems except by spending all your money at the casino, but that rarely gets you any gems at all. ✓ Fun but unplayable after a whileThe game is really fun and addictive, but requires hundreds of gems for every level and has very limited ways of getting them. You can ‘play’ the casino which is essentially gambling coins for gems, however I have dropped 90,000 gems at the casino in the past couple days and got no gems at all and now have no coins either. You can log in every day to get 2 gems but if you need 20 for your next single upgrade, waiting 10 days for it is too tedious. You can level up by playing levels however if you are waiting for an upgrade that means playing old levels over and over and over again 😬 also tedious. After you finish levels you get one last way to play it - a challenge. The challenges are really fun but only happen once per level, then are never replayed. You cannot enjoy it and play it properly without paying real money to get coins and gems. You need them to do anything. And, the more you play, the more you spend. I’ve probably spent close to $300 and I’m only 2/3rd of the way through. I’m really surprised at how much it drains your gems and coins. ✓ HmmmWell, to be honest I got many adds about the game and I thought I would download it (since many of my friends like it) and it was OK but it’s effort and there is to many things you have to upgrade for example the cola is 234 coins for it to be 7 seconds long because they obviously sell cola which was 13 seconds which does not sound to long. Then the old iPad died and I had to get the game again from scratch - we were unable to transfer to the new iPad. Now the game shows a lot of ads and they are quite inappropriate for a small child so we won’t be using it anymore. Shame, as it was fun for a little girl to play with while having to sit still for hours in hospital. I attempted to play Cooking Fever before the day started only to discover that it started glitching and was unable to open normally. Now I have played this game or approximately 6-7 years with my child. Now the child no longer plays, but the adult (me) is addicted. To find the glitching, I decided to shut the app and restart. It did not reopen. I decided to check the App Store (IPad device). I noticed that 3 days ago, this app had an update. I decided that maybe I needed to update the app. So I updated it. I then went to reopen the game and noticed it had reset to Day1 (Fast Food Court), no money, no gems and a tutorial on how to play. I figured the glitch was still there, so I shut down and restarted my iPad. Still nothing. I checked support for this on the internet and read that there was “Support”. Support suggested I may not have been logged in correctly. Well just so you know, I have replaced my iPad twice in 7 years with new iPads and every time the account maintains my progress. ✓ It’s fun but gems ruin it…So, there’s a challenge that costs 16,500 coins and 14 gems to enter at my bakery. I play all night to get enough for the challenge. I get past level one of the challenge, but then level two…It’s rigged or something. Since I just spent all of my gems and coins on this challenge, I can’t level up my equipment, which means I can’t get enough coins to beat it. I’ve played level 2 of that challenge 15 times and I still can’t level up my equipment because I can’t get gems. Tbh it’s not even the challenge, it’s gems. Gems are really rare and hard to get. ✓ The problematic nature of gems in this gameThe game requires a disproportionate number of gems needed for upgrades compared to coins. Furthermore gems are extremely hard to get without spending your own money. Considering the game has an add after every level (half the time you don't even have a choice to watch it or decline), forcing consumers to spend money on gems just so they can progress in the game is ridiculous. You need to make gems easier to obtain, or lessen the cost to upgrade the interiors and kitchen items by not requiring gems (instead using more coins which are extremely easy to obtain). On another note, the casino is also disproportionately coded, as in 2000 coins worth of 100 coin rolls (20 spins) I only won 150 coins. This seems extremely unfair, and makes the overall game experience discouraging and not fun to play..DoubledidgitVersion: 8.1

However, if you wish to continue past the first 40 levels you have to pay real money for the expansions. ✓ Not quite rightThe gameplay for Cooking Fever is fun, however it is poorly optimised for iPhone. I play on an iPhone 8 Plus and the hit boxes are so small that it becomes difficult to play. When choosing icing for cakes in the bakery levels it is near impossible to pick the correct one because they are so small, yet there is all this unused space on the sides of the screen. I can’t help but suggest that the developers have simply scaled down the iPad version to a much smaller screen. The ability to gain gems is also difficult, making it hard to progress and buy upgrades. ✓ Far too "Pay-to-win"When I first found the game, I fell in love with both the simplicity and enjoyment of the game. I managed to progress through the first restaurant without any problems. I could understand and even agree that top upgrades would require gems in order to buy them, as would new restaurants, so I didn't think anything of it. However, once I bought a second restaurant, I found that many first level upgrades now needed a lot of gems to attain. This grinds everything to a halt unless you're willing to spend out hundreds in real money in order to gets those gems. You can't upgrade the tools/ingredients without the upgrades, so you lose a lot of customers just on how long everything takes to make. Also, given that Coca Cola seem to sponsor the game, it confuses me as to why it's always the drink dispenser that takes the most to upgrade... The first area that you start the game at (Fast Food Court) has great pacing and progression and upgrades aren’t necessary, but make the game easier. There is a casino in which you can bet, 100 or 500 coins, or view a video to spin for free. But I have only ever won coins after spinning more than 100 times—not consecutively. It is unfortunate. There is two problems that annoys me about this game and the first problem is that the only way you can get diamonds is if you gamble in the gambling machines which i don’t think should be ok, i have completed most of the levels in the burger game but it won’t let me finish the levels from 38 because i can’t get cupcakes with no diamonds. In order to get diamonds i have to wait until i level up which is unfair, i don’t want to gamble and spend the money i have which i’m saving up for the chinese shop and i don’t want to have to have to repeat levels in order to level up. Especially when you get enough coins to upgrade parts of the kitchen/restaurant, so then you earn more stars and bonuses. However, the further you get into the game, the harder the upgrades are to get. Like the gourmet restaurant. I have the coins to upgrade stuff, but it also additionally requires gems too. I don't have many gems, and they're very rare to receive in the game. Plus, when you get them, you get a small amount, which could only allow you to upgrade very small things, and rarely. This makes it actually impossible to pass some of the levels. ✓ Gets Annoying QuicklyI have been playing this game for about 2 months. When you download the game you think that you’ll just be able to hop from restaurant to restaurant and play as you wish. Then you figure out that restaurants cost GEMS. And next you find out that you need those for upgrades too. The ways to acquire gems are by 1) visiting the app every day in row for 9 days and so on. This is hard to remember to do. If you miss a day, you have to wait for 8 or so more days until you get the two gems. 2) Leveling up on experience. This requires you to play levels SO MANY times. You get 7 for that after a certain level. 3) The Casino. It is a rip off if you don’t know that you can only get gems on the 500 coin option RIGHT AFTER collecting your daily coins from the restaurants. You still end up spending between 5,000and 50,000 coins. That is around 5-50 levels worth. A level takes around 3 minutes so that is around 15 to 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of playing just to get the FIFTEEN GEMS. That it is only enough for a low end restaurant or about 3 upgrades. It is so time consuming just to buy upgrades and more restaurants that I was spending more and more time on it, even upwards of 4 hours some days. It got more and more frustrating. ✓ Good game. Loads of issues though....I have had this game quite a few times now, but every time I have deleted after a few days due to frustration. ✓ ShameAbsolutely loved this game to begin with, really addictive! But can’t do anything now - I’ve got 80,000 in the bank but I can’t do anything with it, I’ve bought & upgraded absolutely everything (statues, signs etc, everything!) you can possibly update. But now everything requires a huge amount of gems, and even tho I’ve spent LOTS of the money on the casino, I haven’t won any gems whatsoever, despite playing a LOT. Wondering what the point in the casino is??! I’ve already spent a fair amount of money on buying gems, but I’m not going to keep doing that (especially when the amount of gems required for any upgrade is so high now!). So, despite having a fortune of money in the bank, it’s worthless because I can’t do anything with that, and I can’t progress in the game. It’s been at a stop for over 20 days!? ✓ NEVER ANY GEMS!!!I really enjoy this game but I always seem to have one problem with it. For the level upgrades you pretty much always need these gems that you earn in game. But it is so unreasonably difficult to get these gems and even though there is a casino that you can gamble the coins you would get from playing levels for possible gems you almost always lose the casino. And even when you do win it’s either coins or gem shards that you can’t even spend and you need nine of them to get only one gem. The most reliable way to get gems is leveling up and the daily rewards you get from logging in every day but leveling up requires a lot of XP and you only get so much from replaying a level and it gets boring almost instantly and takes too long. And the daily upgrade you only get once a day (obvious as of the name). In result you can’t pass one level for days (considering you don’t play this game for hours on end) because you can’t get enough gems to purchase the upgrade you need to pass the level. So this game should either make it easier to get these stupid gems or not required germs for almost every single upgrade. Even though I love cooking games and I REALLY enjoy playing this game normally this is such a problem that I feel like I am forced to give it three stars at the most..GooseEnthusiastVersion: 16.1.1

✓ This game...This game isn’t do good. Also not to bad. The good part is that I love😍 the fact you gotta cook beef and put ketchup on hotdogs, what’s fun. But sometimes I get worried because there’s so much buns to get and beef. Also to put ketchup on hotdogs. But this game I only got last year. I got rid of it. I only got it today. Spring 2020. ✓ Great game, but maybe a few more requests..I personally think this game is amazing and has so much potential, and has already lived up to half of it. it is so addictive and so fun to play, the fact that you can buy new places and cook different things in each one. i also think it's really fun that you have a take limit to do things, which is one of the main elements that makes it so fun. it truly is an amazing game. however, there are a few things that i think could be altered to make it EVEN better. firstly, i think it should be easier to get gems. coins are way easier to earn. the only ways to get a few gems is to level up, (which you have to work EXTREMELY hard to do) get them from the casino (also extremely hard to roll) and to connect to Facebook, Twitter and all that. what if children play this and aren't old enough for that? i think gems should be earned by watching ads WHENEVER you want,(but only one gem per ad) making it WAY easier to get gems in the casino and by getting gems from playing, like a daily login thing like many games have. secondly,I think that you should DEFINITELY.PinkeiiVersion: 2.9.0

✓ I'm not unwilling to spend money on apps... just not on this oneI have spent money on in-app purchases before. Actually, on a game very similar to this one. I'm not one of those people who are absolutely unwilling to spend money on apps. But I refuse to with this app. Why? What's the point... You will deplete the gems you paid for so quickly, and it takes forever to acquire enough to purchase most upgrades past the first or second restaurant with the free methods offered in-game. It's just not worth it; you're going to have to constantly funnel more and more money in to keep making progress. I understand the developers need to make money, but if there were more ways to get gems in-game, I'd see the occasional purchase of gems as no big deal because you know you won't have to spend another $10 or $20 or whatever amount in a few more levels. As it is no, past a certain point in the game, the game is dependent on gems to make progress, and gems take forever to get unless you buy them, and each upgrade costs so many gems. This game is just not worth all of that. It's a fun game, but not worth how much you'll be spending to progress. ✓ Fun mechanics but too greedyEnjoyable, first couple of restaurants you can get three stars without using gems, then it begins to literally be impossible to get full stars unless you buy (or grind) gems, cheat items, time sensitive sales, literal slot machines and “competitions” that require fully upgraded restaurants (gems required) then wheedle more gems to keep going and only reward the top 10 players in the world with anything. If you could buy the game outright I’d give 5 stars but the clinical, nasty and oh so effective psychological assault to get you to buy gems is awful..ChaosazVersion: 2.9.1

✓ Pay to win gameI rate two just for the game itself but the way they try to loot you is very disappointing. I’d rather the developer set a higher price to unlock the other restaurant rather than trapping me to unlock a restaurant with a lower price and then I realized all the missions are impossible to win without upgrading the equipment by diamonds. it feels so bad, more like I am paying to win the game. I used 20 diamonds to unlock a restaurant and I am forced to spend 60+ diamonds upgrading equipment. As a player this feels really bad, it’s not really about the money, it is how I feel that I have done so perfectly in every mission (no mistake) but still end up failing it, this forced me to spend diamonds on upgrading stuff and it feels more like I’m cheating to win and completing a mission become so meaningless now..Jkabe LamVersion: 8.1

✓ Expensive in app purchasesI like the game itself, but the price for gems in the game is really pricey. There is no option to watch an ad for gems, and yes I’ve seen the response to other people’s comments about how to obtain gems. I’ve used a ton of coins for the slot machine, and only won once and it’s nothing compared to how much you spend to just play the slots. Also yes you can get gems from when you level up, but the higher level up you get the longer it takes to get there. ✓ First cooking game I downloaded, loved it, but moved onThis was the first cooking game I downloaded. I loved it when I was playing the food court stage with the burgers and fries. I have since bought the pizza and Chinese restaurants. While I loved this game I’m the beginning, I agree with many others that it simply is too costly to get upgrades on equipment because the amount of gems needed is just too much, and the payoff is not enough. To upgrade your equipment (just to get 2 stars in a higher level) costs coins and 10-15 gems! I liked this game because, unlike some other cooking games (or mobile games in general), it doesn’t supply only a limited amount of lives to play and that you’d have to wait for the lives to replenish. I think that’s why upgrading the equipments, food, and restaurant are so costly, because the developers probably want people to play the levels over and over. I won’t say this game is bad but I will say that this game is not suited for my work lifestyle anymore. I want a game where I do spend effort on each level and revisit each level to earn more currency, but not to the point where I have to play the levels an x amount of times just to earn some measly coins and gems. ✓ Would have been 5 stars but...I would have giving a 5 star rating for the graphics, and general thrill of the game is so cool. However, it looses its enjoyability when diamonds aren’t more accessible. I played the first restaurant all the way through but found out i didn’t have enough diamonds to move on, so i restarted the game. From then I made sure not to enjoy the luxury upgrades and it got to the point where I was only thinking about getting enough diamonds to get to the next restaurant instead of actually enjoying the restaurant i was already doing. I felt like i was missing out on the games full extent with having to miss upgrades to make sure i could get to the next restaurant. ✓ Gets insanely hard very fastThis game is really well made, very fun and addictive but after finishing all the levels in the first restaurant it becomes extremely hard very fast and I feel like it’s a bit unfair. After buying my second restaurant which was the sports bar, I got to a point in the early levels where I couldn’t even pass because I had to buy upgrades which I couldn’t afford because I needed gems despite how hard I was working. You either need to buy gems, literally gamble for them or put in lots of time redoing old levels to get rewards and the fact you can’t continue progressing through the game without it being very time consuming and tiring or spending money takes away from the fun a lot. I wish the developers would just make this a paid game from the start and maybe not make it as difficult to progress. Also in the other restaurants other than the first one, the fast pace the customers demand of you and the amount of different items you have to serve at once can become extremely frustrating and confusing. I guess that’s part of the game, but the whole not being able to profess without gems thing is really off putting and feels like the developers don’t want you to enjoy the game unless you’re willing to pay, which as I said is why I wish they would just make it a paid game so they didn’t have to try and get money out of the players. ✓ Well...please read :/I’ve been playing this game on and off and Everytime I stop playing is because of all the gems you need to get in order to even think about beating one level with 3 stars. There is very few options into getting the gems all in which resorts into buying them..and well even buying them you get barely any if you aren’t considering paying half a fortune! It makes me super sad because I remember first playing this game when it first really came out and it was easy to upgrade stuff due to me being such a low level so I was always constantly getting a gem flow going on...now, it’s so hard to come by for gems.
