Lumos: Sun and Moon Tracker for Negative User Reviews

Doesn’t work at all and no where to contact support!!I’d love to give this a good review but the augmented reality doesn’t work at all, just opens the camera view but no sun or moon anywhere!! Can’t find any info on contacting customer service so I just spent $5 for absolutely nothing!!!.Version: 2.0.7

Very PoorThe location of the moon moves around as you hold it up, and gets steadily less accurate the longer you use it. After a minute of running the app, it claimed the moon was on the opposite side of the sky. I've never left an app review before, but considering the only thing this app is meant to do doesn't work at all, I would like to warn everyone away and avoid wasting your money. I would like a refund, and for the app to be pulled from the App Store so no one wastes their money..Version: 1.2.5

Poor 👎🏻Doesn’t work properly, i wish i read the comments before purchasing. Showing the moon on the complete wrong direction, i have to set it myself, it’s a waste of money..Version: 2.2.3

Couldn’t use it at all due to the Go Pro window popping up every time I touched the screenNever got past jumping through hoops to get it started, then EVERY time I tried to move or search, Go Pro/Buy Now came on the screen which meant I couldn’t use the app! Deleted after just under 10 minutes..Version: 2.0.10

Doesn't factor in local geographyWant to know whether that hill will block your morning sun in Winter? Then don't buy this app because it doesn't factor in local geography...Version: 2.2.3

No functionality without purchase. As above. You just get a picture that you can’t do anything from the tutorial with..Version: 2.0.10

Never even got to try it.Wouldn’t let me try the free version to see if it was what I was looking for. Every time I touched the screen it wanted me to upgrade for £4.99. If I can’t try then simply hit the delete button..Version: 2.0.7

PantsIs not telling me anything that I don’t already know..Version: 2.2.3

Not intuitveNot intuitive enough for me.Version: 2.0.7

CrashWas great for a week then couldn't open app at all without it crashing..Version: 1.1.1

Sun appDisappointed ... first graphic advertising this app, shows a location photo with sun setting on that specific location unfortunately this was not available in free version..Version: 2.0.7

Non-Pro Version UselessI’m not sure what I paid $1.99 for. It tells me where the Sun is. I have windows, and I can see the sky. The app should just be $6.00 up front and let people decide if it’s worth that rather than making them waste $2..Version: 2.2.3

Good app but a lot of unfulfilled potentialSome great features in this app that if developed fully will make for an excellent app, but currently leaves one wanting. Features like moon phase names for more accuracy, holding a position on the map, the ability to see sun and moon together etc are necessary improvements awaiting development. A steady app that hopefully will be worked into a reliable app worthy of the price tag. Additional Update: Adjusting rating from 3 to 1 stars. No improvements have been made to this app, and since reviewing, for some reason all the rise and set times are completely askew and have been for some months now. It’s not a daylight saving thing, because the minutes are also inaccurate as well as the hour. The compass calibration is always a little off, too. This app is essentially only useful to find a fairly good approximate location of the moon. There are other superior apps for this information which offer more accurate info with more and better accompanying features. No longer recommend this one. 🙏 Update: Came to revisit and see if this app had improved 12/2020. Still offering totally inaccurate ruse and set times. Not a reliable app at all. 😟.Version: 2.2.3

Useless without pro versionLooks a good app and probably is but paying for such limited features is ridiculous and is almost pointless until you pay more for the pro. Basic feature should be free! I would not have wasted my money on the restricted version. Should be clearer about what you are buying for intial fee. Unless you are willing to pay £5 don't bother..Version: 2.2.3

Paying TwiceSecond payment is for PRO…..what was the first one for? Oh right, i see it’s a restricted version, should of made this crystal clear!! WHAT A RIP OFF!.Version: 2.2.3

Just not accuratePerfect for landscape photographers wanting to prepare their shots with the sun. It's also cheap, which is awesome. Unfortunately it's frequently off by 2 hours. I can't depend on this app..Version: 1.2.4

Great features, not quite accurateA lot of great features in this app, but hasn't been accurate in augmented reality mode yet, and thats why i got it. Saw it as a good tool to plan photographs out but i think its only good for a general idea. Even when i move the apps sun in line with the real sun it continues to move around, adjusts itself back to the wrong place. This may be a flaw of my IPad/IPhone though since its using its gps and location services to locate my position. Otherwise great idea for a photo tool..Version: 2.0.7

From first minute...From the first minute I was on the app a pop up came up everytime I touched the screen asking to buy the pro version. Disappointed bc I most likely would have if I could have tested it after the tutorial..Version: 2.2.0

Great idea..in practice doesn’t work wellIdk if it’s the connection to their server or what, but often times when I’m out in the field trying to figure out where the sun or moon will be the app defaults to pointing north.. which is never the case..Version: 2.2.3

DisappointingJust about does what the pictures show but not much else.Version: 1.0.1

Easy to use but.........Really good, clear information but it’s only available for apple!.Version: 2.0.7

Paid for the pro version, now it’s inaccurate. The height of the sun in AR mode is not aligned with the app’s projection of the sun. It is impossible to calibrate it vertically, whereas you can horizontally to align with the time. This renders the horizon not true to my view, making the app useless. Pretty disappointed..Version: 2.2.3

Promises but does not deliver unless you pay extra….Bought for £1.99, does not show lunar positions at places unless you spend another £4, pity it didnt say that on the advert, £1.99 wasted on an app that is less useful than many free apps. What it lists is what the full pro version does, not the £1.99 version, which does nothing more than say “you need pro to access this feature” whichever menu item you choose.Version: 2.2.3

Pay for betterLike always you pay and then you buy it then it’s more money for better.Version: 2.2.3

Augmented reality stopped workingThe sun's path stopped appearing so app is now useless.Version: 2.2.3
