Good but some improvementsMy child enjoys this and I can see him thinking things through. There do seem to be some expected leaps in the games though where a younger child might not understand the full concept of what they’re doing. My only other issue is with the “drag the word to the picture game” On Face ID devices my child quite often ends up swiping up the device by mistake and the bottom items are close to the words resulting in a wrong answer being given sometimes when tapping the word so he can hear it. It would be good to fix some of these ux issues. Finally some of the sound buttons to listen to a word are also too close to the answer resulting in a wrong answer when trying to listen to the word again. For little fingers this can be an issue!.Version: 2.4.0

Learning to readMy little girl was struggling with reading. This app has been amazing at changing her reading age. I would recommend the months free trial. It is learning through play and improved parents phonics skills. Both myself and my husband have enjoyed working through the levels. I would recommend you try this. If your child is an active child they will love the games on this as it is about fun..Version: 2.4.3

Reading eggs brilliantMy granddaughter loves this app. At two she knows most of her letter sounds and really loves the science. I wrote that when she began her reading eggs journey. She’s now three and a half and still loves it. Also her young sister now loves the alphabet songs and she is only 15 months old. What impresses me is the fact that the letter sounds are sounded correctly. As a teacher who studied this at post grad level and taught teachers as well as children I think this is so important. I can’t rate this highly enough..Version: 2.4.1

5 stars!!Both my girls, aged 7 and 4, are massively enjoying Reading eggs! I love that I only need one log in for both of their profiles. They find it engaging and fun! Leaving me feeling a little less worried about screen time. This offers positive and educational screen time! My girls happily use reading eggs via the web on their Kindle Fire tablets. Would be great to see an app compatible with the programme but it isn’t essential and definitely doesn’t stop us using it..Version: 3.3.1

The sound on the app doesn’t workLove this for my kids but the doesn’t work for my 2 yr old.Version: 2.3.15

Love this app!I started using Reading Eggs, a few years ago, when my youngest was at nursery, as I wanted a fun way for her to begin the process of reading. She lived it, from the start and was always eager to play! She is now in primary 1 and still requests to play on RE, as often as she can! I have another daughter, who is a few years older and was identified as needing additional support for learning. She receives this support, through school, however, I added her to our RE account, as extra support, from home, and she too, loves the app and enjoys playing, often!.Version: 2.3.13

Results speak for themselvesI just wanted to leave a review here because I can see there are a few negative reviews which I understand. The performance is variable on range of devices depending on the age of the device. We’ve used loads of devices during COVID lockdown and it works very well on a reasonably new one. Slightly glitchy on ones with unsupported older iOS. However I am astonished to say that my 4 year old has taught herself to read using this programme! It’s so clearly backed up by proper learning methodology, it works so well. Thanks to you my 4 year old will come out of COVID lockdown with square eyes and most important skill of her life. I would never have paid the money if teacher friend hadn’t suggested I do it so just passing on my experience so other kids can get the benefits..Version: 2.3.13

Reading EggsMy 6 year old daughter loves the app. At school she was bored ... not enough stimulation for an active mind. Now there isn’t enough time in the day for her to use Reading Eggs. Reading Eggs makes learning so much fun and I’m amazed at what I can see her achieving so easily. I’m kept up to date constantly with reports from Reading Eggs on her progress and what it is she has now grasped. Her teacher couldn’t keep up with her at school and is also amazed at how fast she is progressing. Thank you for such an amazing App..Version: 2.3.5

Great learning experience for kids! Both my girls are subscribed to Reading eggs. My eldest 7 has it for school and I love how fun yet structured it is!. My youngest 3 just started and I find her logging on and learning multiple times a day unprompted on her own. Love how bright, fun and informative it is. It’s catered so well to each age group. Definitely recommend to all!.Version: 3.1.5

Love this appWe have been using Readings Eggs for a while now but during lockdown religiously once a day - in a fun way. My son has just gone back to nursery prior to starting school in September and the staff could not believe how good his reading was. They were very impressed at the level he was at. I got the impression it was higher than expected for his age. Dry pleased with the app and will continue to use it even when he starts school..Version: 2.3.15

Amazing appThis app is amazing and I love it ♥️♥️ It is amazing when my daughter said she feels like she behind in class I went looking on App Store and I found reading eggs all the mums at school were talking about how they got it for there child and it was amazing so I decided to get and it worked!!! She has learned so mum and thank god she got a good report So I have to say thank you so much for creating this game Katherine.Version: 2.3.13

It’s really good butPlease can there be multiplayer on plaza.Version: 2.3.18

A great spring board into reading and much moreMy 4 year old daughter had regressed with her reading due to lockdown etc. I downloaded Reading Eggs for her and the app, very quickly, helped to get her back on track. We now switch between Reading Eggs and physical reading books. It is clear as day that she is utilising some of the skills learned from Reading Eggs and is also being reminded of those she had already attained. I cannot recommend this app highly enough, as a COMPANION to alternate with physical reading books..Version: 2.3.13

Great App - sound issues infuriating! We love this App- but find that at least once a week the sound goes completely and we can’t progress to next level. The quiz must be done on a desk top if not no sound. Message for the developers : I have an iPhone X, everything up to date, gone through your unhelpful help desk, nothing can be done. The problem is with the App. Please listen to customers as I’m thinking of unsubscribing as I want to use the app from my phone not a desk top computer for my kids..Version: 2.3.7

Best reading appI rarely write reviews but, as an educational therapist who works with struggling young readers, the addition of Fast Phonics on here has been an excellent update! Really covers the important aspects of phonological awareness that most kids need to become strong readers. Plus the app has a great math program that costs only a few dollars more, so we use this app to keep up with all the basic math and reading skills now. It’s not 100% flawless (don’t think hat exists in an app!), but the best one we’ve found..Version: 2.3.17

Love it but not for every childWe really love reading eggs for one of my children. It really did the work to teach her to read. Another of my children just didn’t pick it up from the app, and it’s not a fit for his learning style. Either way, I’m glad we tried it for all the kids and get to learn more about their learning styles and keep this in the homeschool tool belt..Version: 3.1.6

Great…but…This app has been great for my four year old and I find it has been a fun way to get him to learn to read. BUT…we have a glitch at the final quiz at the end of the 2nd stage/map. The quiz consists of 15 questions which he has been trying to do, however each time we get to the 6th question the sound stops working. I have tried everything from full shutdowns, reboots, deletion and reload, software update, but nothing has worked! We have only just renewed our subscription again and now it’s unusable as he cannot get past this quiz without any sound. Please help this frustrated mama..Version: 4.0.0

A lifesaver for special needs kids, with some flawsI would give the actual Reading Eggs lessons five stars, and the development of the app, three stars. Our daughter has various developmental issues including ADHD, ASD, ODD, etc, and while she rocketed through in reading, she stubbornly resisted any attempts to teach her maths. Counters, songs, number lines, tutors. Grandparents, etc were all fought off with tantrums. However - give her an iPad, and she’ll play. And Reading Eggs’ Mathseeds is slow-paced, gentle, fun, and all the things even stubborn kids will engage with. Taking mum and dad out of the equation helps preserve everyone’s sanity a bit more. She’s a little motivated by the badges and tokens she earns, although most compelling is that she gets to play Minecraft after she completes each level. With Mathseeds, slowly she progresses, where all else failed. The app is a little frustrating. Why do they have a promo video at the start of every launch? Sometimes if behaves badly with poor internet. And some of the reward games are badly designed and frustrating, again not good for ADD kids. But overall, it scores 97%, not 100, and it’s largely responsible for getting a kid through school..Version: 3.0.0

Just taught our 2 1/2 year old daughter to readThis app is the one you want !!! If you wanna teach your child to read. Our daughter can now read very basic books due to this program. It’s one hell of a grind, but our daughter is 2 1/2. So a 4 or 5 year old would smash it out a lot faster, but seeing a 2 1/2 year old read is mind blowing. Hey Dev, just one thing that I would like to add is the off shoots of your program make it a bit busy, less is more !!! If you have too many distractions from the main program, kids will gravitate towards that and we have what is called ‘Opportunity Cost’. Your program is great, it works, our 2 1/2 year old daughter is proof of that ! And I think you gotta find ways for these off shoots to come back to the main program..Version: 3.0.4

Great app - with 1 suggestionMy child has just started prep and the school has subscribed to this program and it is fantastic. The only thing I can add that I have not seen mentioned in other reviews is that when a book is being read it would be better if that the page didn't turn whenever you touched a page and instead only changed when the forward arrow was pressed. Sometimes when you want to point at a word that the child is having difficulty with (or just pointing to follow along with what is being read), it is very frustrating that the page constantly turns..Version: 2.4.3

Great programThis game is very good. It has kept both my 4 & 7 yr olds busy. It is a perfect way to learn especially while home with Covid 19.Version: 2.3.11

Mmmm I like the teaching😌😭.Version: 4.1.4

Sound going outWe have a brand new iPad that's up to date on updates. We just downloaded the app & got midway through a lesson with sound, my son was having fun. But once sound issue started we had to restart app & by then my son lost interest. It's especially frustrating when he's missing the parts where the sound section is needed to choose the word with the correct sound - we just updated the app and it's still doing this sadly. We will hold out and see if it gets fixed but if not we're going to have to cancel our subscription for another app with sounds that work.Version: 3.1.4

Love it!My kids love reading eggs! My just turned 2 year old loves the toddler learning section of the app. There’s so many great games for him to review and learn so many basic skills. My 4 year old daughter sits and works on a lesson or two every morning with me. In just a few weeks she’s gone from being completely uninterested in using her phonics skills and blending sounds into words on our own, to wanting to read me her first readers stories on her own with only needing help with a couple words in the book. Wow! Also love that the game is playable on the computer, tablet, and iPhone. Since we work through the lessons and games together our personal preference is definitely with the tablet and the computer..Version: 2.4.2

Educational and funMy child has been using reading eggs for a few years and it definitely introduces phonics and reading in a positive way. Holds attention because they’ve made it fun!.Version: 4.1.3

Fun with a purposeI have 5 year old B/g twin grandchildren, they loved pre-school and socializing and then the pandemic hit, while they should attend Kindergarten this coming fall, it’s not an option. I am a retired Special needs teacher with more than 35+ yrs experience and found Reading Eggs on line. I see my grandchildren regularly and am picking up the slack for Kindergarten prep. Reading Eggs is part of their daily play. They can easily maneuver the site and love following every part of its application, we make many of the arts n crafts and love the science experiments. I highly recommend this program for your early schooler. They grow by leaps and bounds, love completing levels, and you will feel confident allowing them tablet time. Great job Reading Eggs on all levels of entertainment, education, and keeping a young mind learning and growing, consider gifting it for the holidays to some lucky little one you know. Happy Grandma.Version: 2.3.18

Reading eggs appReading eggs is really helping my child to read. Is the best app.Version: 2.3.6

My son really enjoys learning to read from this appMy son has trouble with reading but likes it. This app has encouraged him to try new skills without the pressure of writing it correctly. I like the structure and the feedback and the assessments I get. It helps me guide him and his learning outside the app. I plan on getting the workbooks because we are enjoying it so much. PS we homeschool and this is our main reading curriculum..Version: 3.1.5

It works! My son found it engaging and just challenging enough to stay interested as he worked through maps. Great graphics and songs. Scaffolded learning with high repetition and rewards. Son went from preschool level to age level (7) in six months using only this online app each morning, now able to read short books to baby sister and confidant to sound out words in natural environment. Did have to upgrade ipad to match software needs and does need larger tablet screen. Once ina while an accent would make it difficult to know what word was being said/requested..Version: 2.4.3

LoveMy 5 year old math-brain son “actually loves it” - his words! This is big. My son has shown very little interest in phonics and reading. He is a heavily auditory learner who engages best with audio/visual stimuli. We are a homeschooling family and he leans toward math and science based learning. We have been using Reading Eggs as a summer curriculum in an attempt to get him on track for his kindergarten language curriculum. He even chooses Reading Eggs during his free time! He thinks the videos are funny and he laughs and LEARNS through every lesson. We are hooked. Thank you!!!.Version: 2.3.5

Eggs can readLove it you need to get it yes it is $20 a month, but this is a great app.Version: 3.5.1

Best Learning AppWe’ve tried every top rated learning to read apps for our 7 and 5 year old girls and Reading Eggs is by far the best at keeping them engaged and learning!! Highly recommended!.Version: 3.0.2

Teaches me lot !This game has taught me a lot and I really think you should buy the subscription and if you want to buy and it will test your child or pupils to the right adjustment and will teach yourself children a lot of things your child will love if you don’t want to buy the game you won’t get advantage of reading eggs app. Most people might fuss over the trial but it’s worth buying the trial like I said about the adjustment for the right age so I appreciate if you rated 5🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 or appreciating the app learning advantage. 😊👩🏽 Sundus.Version: 2.3.13

Excellent appMy 6 year old has flourished so much using reading eggs, she loves the awards too! I also love that you get emailed with their progress, super handy for handing in school work to the school board, in homeschooling!! We spend half our school days using this app and the rest doing actual school books! I highly recommend this app.Version: 2.4.3

I LOVE READING SO MUCH!!!❤️ Thank you reading 📖 eggs 🥚,I’ll give you guys a 5/5 stars ✨By: Bella dou, for: reading eggs.Version: 3.1.4

No more tears! My son and I were really struggling with school. It was hurting our relationship, and I was feeling super frustrated! This app has been a lifesaver. He’s learning without even realizing it, and he has made a lot of progress in both math and reading. I’m so happy with it! They also have amazing customer service. They’re proactive and responsive. I highly recommend everything about this app and the company behind it..Version: 2.3.6

It makes learning easy and funI have used reading eggs for both my kids to get them reading. I don’t have to think about it too much, it does all the hard work for me! I’n the beginning I do the lessons with them and eventually they learn how to do it all themselves. It makes it fun and exciting for the kids to learn. My favorites are maths seeds and reading eggs, but I want my son to use Reading eggpress more for comprehension as he struggles a little with that!.Version: 3.3.1

Educational but glitchesEducational for me but on level 114 it started glitching and it kept glitching over and over and over four star rating.Version: 2.3.5

Absolutely the best reading app… And I’ve tried severalThis is truly the best app out there for parents teaching their kids to read! My son is in kindergarten at a new school and was struggling to read. The other children had a huge introduction to letters and reading in pre-K at the school so he was behind. The teachers don’t have time to sit one on one with him so mom here has stepped up. I’m a nurse not a reading teacher and didn’t know where to begin. I’m so thrilled with reading eggs and fast phonics that I’m considering going back to school to become a reading teacher. He is making huge, fast progress and I love the free handouts that you can print. So smart and simple... I tell everyone I know about the program..Version: 2.4.1

Take my money! This is an incredible app. I wish this app was around when I was learning to read as a child. The way they have gameified reading is inspired. My 5 yo, who has ADHD and very short attention span LOVES this app and begs to play it. This is an incredible win because my 5yo previously refused to do anything to do with reading: books, words, cards etc. My child now randomly reads words aloud around them on packets, signs, jars etc. Love that the activities are novel and change so my 5yo doesn’t get bored- even if they’ve churned through a lot of lessons in one sitting. Also love that the 5yo can’t get through the levels just by trying all the options at random- as my child does with most games. The app makes sure my child actually learnt the material. Clearly well researched and thoughtfully put together. If only all the other things my child needs to practise came in such a wonderful and well thought out app! Thank you Reading Eggs! Keep up the incredible work. No wonder you have won so many awards. You deserve more. ❤️.Version: 3.1.4

Great app to carryover learningHaving to cope with home schooling more these days and children getting frustrated with mummy as teacher I used this as a “reward” for doing good work. I was pleased to learn that it sets it at the level he requires and also gives you feedback on their progress via email of their learning. Will be keeping my subscription until schools are up and running again 👍🏻.Version: 2.3.15

Really great!I think this app is great! I’m already on level 76 and I’m still continuing to be at the last stage! I can’t believe that it teaches me when it’s really basic! It actually teaches me a lot that I’m improving things in my school more better than before! I am becoming really good at my school projects and everyday when I try it, it always improves me so thank you for the people who made this excellent proving app!.Version: 2.4.2

We enjoy it when the sound works😖We use this for preschool homeschooling and for supplementing my second graders school. It is the best educational app that I’ve been able to find as I can turn off the games and videos so my kiddos actually do their lessons and not just play. Unfortunately though the sound doesn’t always work on our iPad and refreshing the app as well as updating the version hasn’t helped so pleas fix this issue!.Version: 3.0.8

My Review as a Teacher & MomAs a former third grade teacher (for ten years), as a current online ESL teacher (for 3.5 years) and mommy to a kindergartener (who I’m now homeschooling virtually), discovering the Reading Eggs app (as compared to other reading apps I have tried) has been such a TREASURE OF A FIND!!! Truthfully, the Reading Eggs app engages my son way more than other educational apps I’ve tried... I’ve tried many other apps in search of ones to support & provide reading learning/practice and honestly with what I’ve been looking for in reading for our son, this app meets EXACTLY what I’ve needed/wanted. I love how it assesses our children prior to beginning so that proper placement can be made based on a child’s level. It’s a quality app that kids can enjoy while also remaining highly educational..Version: 2.3.13

Request for HELP!!!!!!!!!!Thank you for that developer response reading eggs team! But something is still up… OK so my sister can’t read very well, and, let’s just say that if she doesn't get any better, she’ll basically be KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL BY THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I watch her she doesn't LEARN!!! Guess what? She goes to the plaza and just mucks around!!! My mum is nervous for my sisters’ future!!! You’re our LAST HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No literary, you’re our last. SAVE MY SISTERS’ FUTURE!!!.Version: 3.0.8

Wonderful programMy grandsons where in grade one and in grade three at school. Neither of them could read or write. I am now homeschooling them both. They have gone from not knowing how to read to reading small books with in a six month span, and can not wait to start Reading eggs in the morning. This is a fantastic program and they have everything to help your child and their support team is great for assisting you if need be. I have seen a big difference in both my grandsons and their confidence in themselves they can not wait to receive their certificate at the end of each Map..Version: 3.1.2

Couldn’t recommend this moreWill & have recommend reading eggs to all my family & friends with children. My 5 year old would play all day on this not realising it’s a educational game & he’s learning as he plays. I have now subscribed for a year & although it was a little more than what like to pay for an app, I know this app will be beneficial to my son & he will use it enough to justify its price..Version: 2.4.2

Best in class - by a mileI’ve downloaded tons of apps to help teach our little boy how to read. They all do an OK job, but he quickly got bored, and didn’t seem to learn. Enter Reading Eggs; it’s a game changer. The entire app is gamified in a way that’s really appealing to kids. Not only are the games fun, he’s actually learning, quickly, and loves the games. They’re diverse, and the learning curve is just perfect. The only criticism I have of the app, is that I feel £6.99 a month is a little much for an app of this kind. That’s Netflix money, who produce millions of pounds worth of new content each month. Personally, I believe the pricing should be closer to £1.99-£2.99 a month, in order to make this accessible to the masses. Many families will not be able to budget another £6.99 a month. But the content, the app itself, the levels, game design, it’s fantastic..Version: 2.3.6

Teacher mumThis is a great, interactive app that really does help little ones learn to read. My son is 3 and has come on so much with his ability to recognise the sounds each letter makes and also blending sounds to make the word. As a primary teacher, he has had help from me however I would say the majority of his learning has come from reading eggs. The maths seed is also amazing. It has helped consolidate his number and shape recognition and helped him to identify numbers through counting objects and seeing them in different patterns. A tad expensive at £6.99 pm however will continue to pay until lockdown is over/he goes back to nursery.Version: 2.3.13

Good for kids online learningApp is well structured with study topics for the kids to gradually progress from one level to another. UX is bit confusing to set up initially at the right level. Not sure placement test was meant to be done multiple times or once before every stage. Otherwise very good app, no major issues..Version: 4.1.4

TriedHi , sorry I had review about payment , try the app and wanted to subscribe a year.Version: 3.1.3

Valuable Educational ResourceI can’t emphasise enough how valuable this app is. My child was diagnosed with speech delay and due to COVID I couldn’t find real ent services to support her. Then a colleague of mine told me about Reading Eggs. My kid started using the app immediately and within four months she improved a lot. She started uttering words and then forming short sentences. It was just amazing. Thank you!.Version: 3.1.4

Finally an Australian phonics appI love this app for my kids. It’s been impossible finding apps that use Australian phonics and language. Both my kids love it and it’s not a chore for them and they learn a lot more because the pictures and sounds line up with what we actually use rather than what Americans use. So far no bugs or glitches.Version: 3.0.8

My kids’ teacherMy kids learned reading and basic maths by doing reading eggs and mathseeds. I’ve been a subscriber for 5 years now and have no plans of stopping until my youngest child learns to read (working on it, he is 4). My 2 older kids learned how to read through reading eggs and now they’re both doing reading eggspress for comprehension. We love the programs and they make learning so much fun!.Version: 3.0.0

FANTASTIC app but freezes constantlyThis is such a brilliant app, an amazing tool and resource. It keeps my child completely engaged and I can track his progress. The only negative I’ve found is that it freezes and crashes. A lot. After a considerable amount of research, and ensuring the iPad and app was up to date and able to support the software, I decided it wasn’t worthwhile. I currently have the free trial and would really love to purchase a subscription but can not justify the money for an app that freezes. Hopefully this will be ironed out soon enough and when it is, I’ll be on board very quickly!.Version: 2.3.5

A must have for learning to readWhen I tell you I love this program, the only thing I would suggest the developers to advertise more because I never heard of this program. The only reason I found out about it is because our homeschool teacher told us in only 2 weeks my child was reading 3 letter words, I’m sure in a few months she will be a master reader. I was doing abc mouse for years and to me it’s a waste of time and money I wish I would have know about this program sooner definitely 10 out of 10.Version: 3.1.6

If you’re on the fence, it’s worth a try! Please take my recommendation. Within 2 weeks of using the app, I “caught” my daughter, who has struggled to read, hated reading, avoided it, sitting in the living room reading a book on her own out loud. I literally cried. She was VERY encouraged by the rewards and fun of Reading Eggs. My other daughter, who has just taken off with all things educational, also loves the app. It’s got PLENTY of activities to keep her busy. She just started kindergarten & she’s reading whole books by herself. We just love it. Reading Eggs makes a huge difference - it’s worth a try.❤️.Version: 3.1.6

We love it!I have two kids, my first grader used this and did a lesson a day for a while before he could play his games, he’s reading at third grade lever and does very well. My 4 year old just started, it is super easy for them to catch and fun with sounds and colors. Best reading app for sure. My kids aren’t Australian but little minor differences with pronouncing can be fixed. Honestly wish this was in different languages. A lot of these reviews are extremely critical. I’m not a school teacher of any sort, just a mom who wants their kids to learn and have fun doing it. So with that said, THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE AT THE READING EGGS TEAM!.Version: 3.2.0

Great appMy daughter loves both reading eggs and math seeds. It’s a great app with lots of levels and games to keep kids engaged. Mathseeds seems to assume a base level of literacy though which is not great for younger children. My daughter for example is 3 and loves maths, she knows all her numbers and shapes but can’t read the words when the numbers are written in words (eg seven instead of 7), making it very difficult for her to complete some levels without help, though she can answer when it’s read to her. (Edit: I of course sit with her while she does the activities but for the mathseeds levels that rely on the written word, I basically need to do them for her which seems silly when her number knowledge is sufficient for her to move on through the levels and it’s her literacy skills holding her back.) We’ve not experienced the sound issue others mention, though we’ve definitely noticed the app is not as responsive on older devices as it is on newer ones. My main complaint would be that it’s annoying how the app logs out basically every time you close the app. It would be great if you could stay permanently logged in..Version: 2.3.5

Wonderful ResourceI found this to be such a great help when I was homeschooling my children. They were able to pick up on lessons easily while having fun doing it..Version: 4.1.5

Fantastic learning “game” and worksheetsMy kids love this app and will happily do the work sheets for the lessons also!.Version: 2.4.3

Very good reading and maths aid for my childrenThe skills taught in Reading Eggs for both reading and maths are excellent. I use this for both my 4 year old and 6 year old (and have done since they were 2 and 4 respectively). There’s so much that they can do and learn, including games (but in an educational manner). The lessons are aligned with the school curriculum, which really helps their learning and understanding..Version: 3.1.6

I have been using this since kindergartenI am now in 4th grade and I still love reading eggs I have been using this app for 4 years. Reading eggs taught me how to read and spell words. I definitely recommend this app for your children. Their is also Reading Eggspress for older kids where you have more reading activities to do. And mathseeds where you learn math! Like your numbers and word problems. One thing I like about mathseeds is that their are funny videos. One last thing Fast phonics you learn your letters and words their are also games where you learn and play at the same time!.Version: 4.1.3

Enjoy but sound issuesWe love reading eggs and had been using it on the computer but when my daughter finished the Duo ABC app on my phone I put reading eggs on for us to do together. I’m not sure what is going on but the sound will stop randomly and then come back randomly. It makes it really hard on some activities when you NEED the sound to know what to do, and I have to help her with some when the app would normally read it to her. If that could be fixed it would be perfect..Version: 2.4.1

Great, but why?I got this app because I played it at a friends house and it was kinda fun, but when I downloaded it, it told me that I had one free month then I had to pay. WHAT!?! Nobody told me I had to pay!! Also, I’m eleven yrs old, so most of the stuff is just boring. Some of the stuff is fun, like the play kitchen, but can you please make one for older kids? And make it free. Please! I would like it a lot more if you did this. Other than this, it’s a fun and educational game for your KINDERGARTENERS. Please consider my requests. Thanks!.Version: 2.3.13

Great appMy 2 grandchildren are homeschooled and love this app. And they are learning lots, e both now above grade level. I am very happy with their progress and this app..Version: 3.0.0

AmazingI like reading eggs because it’s good for my kids education and they can have fun at the same time and like the stadium is my kids favorite part they love to do their little racist where you have to guess the word and if you guess the word you get so red and the other person gets left behind but that’s their favorite game and that’s why I like reading eggs it’s amazing for my kids education they can have fun and stuff and yeah that’s why I write reading eggs five stars🤩✨⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️🎖🌠.Version: 4.1.5

Sound??Just realised if your phone is on silent you won’t have sound on the AP.Version: 2.3.13

Excellent programI’ve tried many many programs to get my boys engaged in reading and this was the perfect solution. My oldest son who’s 12 now, but 9yo when we started, needed a refresher to get to a better place reading and having phonemic awareness, reading eggs met and exceeded my expectations. I have 3 other children 5th grade, preschool abs toddler. They all love and ask to do reading eggs! It’s versatile and interactive. We loved the reward system with the little room and fish tank; but my big guys adore the apartment setting and reward card catalog. Reading Eggspress is fun and engaging for older kids. When Fast Phonics came out, I’d have to pry them away from the computer bc they’d be on it all day. Overall a stellar program for all ages and I’ve recommended the ReadingEggs program to all my friends and family..Version: 2.4.3

Good program but the app has too many glitches to useGreat program. My little one is learning a lot. If you’re using on an iPhone it loses sound quite often. But using headphones seems to fix the issue..Version: 2.4.1

DAILY staple here!I have 3 kids ages 3,4&6 and Reading Eggs, Fast Phonics, and Math Seeds is how we start out our day 7 days a week! Each kiddo has their own tab with individual progress saved. It is so easy to watch them play through an activity or lesson while I passively interact when needed to prompt thru, but some days I don’t have to interact at all and my kids learn new sounds or words. I simply watch progress reports and then reinforce with hands on learning later in the day. My oldest was so bored with our previous online Kindergarten program but Reading eggs/Mathseeds is game like and exciting. He is an entire grade ahead now thanks to this program and he is sooo proud!! I am so thankful!.Version: 2.4.2

Amazing AppMy daughter has genetic condition and is also autistic too, so she has a developmental delay of 2 years!! This amazing app, has helped her achieve at least 6 months back, (so she is now only a year and a half behind her peers) it has her full attention at all times, the levels, learning activities and games are absolutely amazing, she always wants to do “her lessons” as she calls it xx Would definitely recommend to all xx.Version: 3.0.1

Fun, engaging and effective! Both of my kids have been using Reading Eggs for a year now (homeschooled). It has been highly effective at not only teaching reading, but also spelling and math. I am grateful that such a fun program exists. It has kept my kids’ interest and helped them build self confidence. Great program!.Version: 3.1.2

Great!!!My 4yr old loves this after a few weeks of playing it and could happily play on it all day!! She sees it more as a game rather than actual learning which is all you want, as a parent.. She thinks it’s very fun, funny and engaging. Initially she was a little annoyed it was so basic because she knew the letters and frustrated by the repetition of doing the games again and again before reaching the next level, but it didn’t last too long & now she’s on level 7 already in a couple of weeks 😊 The only problem that we have sometimes is the sound cutting out, so I then have to help her a little more to know what she needs to do because it doesn’t say what she needs to do. Usually it doesn’t last long after a couple of levels, or reloading the app. But still a mild annoyance. Well worth the price though! It’s really helping her learn to read well and quickly change through books at school which she recently started a month and a half ago. She’s focused on the reading section and we haven’t tried the maths section and my 14month old is a little young to try the younger section, but we’ll soon try them out too!.Version: 2.3.10

Number one educational appReading eggs is amazing educational app! It’s user friendly kids are having ton of fun learning without thinking about it. I give it 5/5.Version: 2.3.13

Can’t beat it!We’ve been using reading eggs for 4 years now with both my kids now who are in kinder and grade 1. Both kids are reading well above their age levels and absolutely love using the app. We have read to the kids nightly however the repetition and consolidation of skills in a fun vibrant entertaining program is more than we can do as parents alone. My son school uses it as part of their curriculum now too. We use all parts of the programs, mathseeds and reading express too. It’s fun, the kids never complain and usually ask to use it. Its great for guilt free iPad time when I’m busy knowing they’re learning. The only down side is it takes a while to load up I think because we haven’t shut the app down since last use. Sometimes we have to reload it on start up but it’s not really a problem. Would be good if it was fixed though. (We are on slightly older iPads). Highly recommend this program. Free trial - you can’t go wrong!.Version: 2.3.15

ExcellentWe have limited internet access and this still works brilliantly. As a teacher and a Mum, I love this app. My son is hooked. Prefers playing this to any other game on the iPad..Version: 3.0.1

Reading eggsMy son is 5 years old and thanks to reading he has been reading all on his own. Not only does reading eggs teach and provide educational games and teaching tools but it has also given my son the confidence and happiness in him to read. He reads with such excitement and joy but most importantly he has fun! I highly highly recommend reading eggs and if you want to add an extra boost get the workbooks my son loves them and even asks to do extra pages! Thank you reading eggs😃.Version: 2.4.2

An awesome and fun educational tool!!We absolutely love using Reading Eggs. It has given me a whole new insight into my son’s learning, as well as us discovering together how to use the program on the computer (which was an education for him in itself)! Love everything about the program! From its ease-of-use, to the enjoyment that you see on your child’s face through learning to the updates you get as a parent including the helpful advice, tips and assistance you get online as you progress through each stage. Highly recommend - such a wonderful resource!.Version: 3.1.4

Absolutely love it!!!!My daughter started out kindergarten in title for extra help. She refused to learn with me. I found this app and did the trial period and my daughter loved it so I bought it. At the end of the first quarter she was right where she needed to be and excelling. They took her out of title. Now she’s willing to read and loving it. She also is enjoying math. We do a level every night and she is doing so well. I love how it teaches you to sound out words! Sometimes when you make a mistake spelling you can’t undo it which can be annoying, but I just tell her it’s ok here I’ll get it wrong and you spell it right! I recommend reading eggs to all my friends and relatives. Remember you still have to be a parent and sit there with them and sometimes help them so they continue to enjoy it!!!.Version: 2.4.2

WOWI was sceptical about these apps but since the lockdown I have tried a few. This one has been fantastic it is an all rounder it has a section for my 3 year old and a section for my 5 year old and it determines the level of your child which is something I struggled with when lockdown began as I had an idea of the level she was working at but this took all the guess work out. I got this on a month free but will be keeping it to continue there learning development.Version: 2.3.13

Such a good appI signed up to reading eggs after having a free trial period, and I am really glad I did! My daughter is dyslexic so struggles to retain word recognition, and although she is ten and very bright, she has the reading Age of a seven year old, but with the short time she has been doing reading eggs (just one week of playing for an hour or so everyday) her reading has improved, the game aspect appeals to her as it’s not as daunting as some of the workbooks we have, and she doesn’t feel pressured. It’s just a fun friendly place for her to work at her own pace. The printable certificates are a great idea and the printable lesson worksheets (that I have just discovered) make a complete English lesson for our home education curriculum. I can’t praise highly enough!.Version: 2.3.19

My daughter loves itMy three year old daughter has a speech delay so I got her this to help her and she has greatly improved with her speech after she uses the app. It also helps her understand the instructions and all the activities and books are age appropriate. The reward of the egg after she completes an activity keeps her interested. Thank you ABC reading eggs!.Version: 2.4.3

Great for pandemic-forced homeschoolingThis review is for Reading Eggs and MathSeeds. There are two other programs in this bundle that we haven’t used (one for younger kids, one for older). Bought this is after 3 months of remote pre-K instruction. I was concerned our son might not be ready for K in the fall and also concerned that we might be (effectively) homeschooling in a few months. This app has helped us understand what skills he is lacking. There are homeschool lesson plans that help you see what lessons are considered kindergarten/grade 1/ grade 2. He does 1-2 lessons a day (I think you are supposed to do 1 a week), a few days a week. It’s also helped in terms of sanity during this isolation — something he can do while my husband and I get some work done. Other learning apps have been problematic in that once he finds part of the program that has videos or games he stops doing the actual lessons. This has a bit of that issue, but some games “cost” golden eggs/acorns, which he only gets from doing the lessons. He loves the little critters that he gets for completing a group of lessons — they have really figured out what 5-year-olds think is entertaining! Highly recommend! MathSeeds lessons are a little difficult because he doesn’t have familiarity with the spelling of the numbers 0-10, but he is getting better. It’s just impossible to have him sound out the word “eight” when he’s just learned how to read “map”..Version: 2.3.13

Problem…..When I downloaded reading eggs, I was so happy, a few years later (right now) when I was 7, something went off. The sound didn’t work anymore, expect the videos of ruby, dizzy,Waldo, mango and ect,so…can you help me fix the sound bc there is NO way to fix it.. Thanks, -Morven.Version: 3.2.0

Sound doesn’t workMy son absolutely loves this game but when we play it on the app the sound doesn’t work but it’s fine on the website..Version: 2.3.11

One if the best learning apps out there!I tried several learning apps for my son. This was by far the most comprehensive of the ones I tried. With the accompanying book bundles my son is flying! Some of the levels seem long and repetitive at times but I realised that this repetition is needed to consolidate my sons learning. A fantastic app which is both literacy and maths.. I would recommend to anyone with confidence!.Version: 3.0.5

Brilliant app!I have three children, my oldest are 10 and 11 and they both absolutely loved this app. I believe that if you can make learning fun, kids don’t even realise they’re learning stuff and just enjoy what they are doing. And that is what I feel reading eggs does brilliantly. My 5 year old son loves this and had some difficulties in kindy and with a combined effort from parents, teachers and some “fun” learning on the side, I believe reading eggs has really helped my son to catch up and even overtake kids in his class now! Love it and I recommend it to anyone who is needing some extra help with learning to read..Version: 2.3.6

Engaging…Bought this for my 6yr Son who hates reading! He engages with this and has helped him progress through a couple of book levels much quicker than before. My Daughter 8 also started this and jumped 3 levels recently so one above her best friends who have always been at a higher reading level, the comprehension exercises really helped her to understand what she is reading..Version: 3.3.1

Fantastic homeschooling toolWe have used it almost everyday for the past 6 months homescholing my daughter. She had troubles in school and was falling behind more and more. Since starting this program she has improved incredibly in her skills and confidence and she actually loves working on this everyday. We are also using the extra printable worksheets and have used some of their books and workbooks. I have nothing but good things to say about reading eggs and mathseeds and plan on using it for many more years. We use it on both Ipad and chromebook and have no crashing or sound issues like some reviews. Works great everytime!.Version: 2.4.2

Excellent appI’ve researched and used many educational apps for my kids (ages 5 and 7) and this is among the best. I’ve seen major strides in reading with both of my kids thanks to this app. It’s also a lot of fun for the kids, they really enjoy using it. I’ll also add that their customer service is top notch. Today I was stuck on where to find something in the app, so I called their number, a real live person answered the phone (no hold time) and they knew exactly how to fix my issue - problem solved in under two minutes! I highly recommend Reading Eggs as a learning tool..Version: 2.4.3

Impressed!I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wants their child to enjoy learning to read. My son struggled to progress with his Yr 1 teacher, the boring home readers and during Covid homeschooling. I had heard other mum’s talk about it so I decided to download it and let my son decide whether it was any good. The graphics, characters, music, rewards, games and variety of ways to teach him quickly encouraged him to learn more and more every day and he went from a level 4 to a level 25 home reader in a few short months at school, surpassing his class mates and receiving awards from his principal and teacher. Thank you so much Reading Eggs creators! :).Version: 3.1.6

Excellent programMy kids absolutely love this program! My daughters reading level and confidence has increased dramatically since starting this program. I like that you can do trial without putting in any payment information and that it is a full 28 days to give it a true try! After the trial we decided to purchase the full family subscription, we have three children and they all love it. My youngest enjoys the games of the junior program while my other two use the reading eggs and mathseeds lessons and games, my oldest will soon be graduating into the reading eggspress program! Defiantly 5 stars! My only suggestion (and its a small one) would be about the currency games in mathseeds, I personally feel that if you are going to use currency in a program offered to multiple countries it should be adapted to the currency of the country the costumer is in or simply just exclude it from the program, my children found it very confusing..Version: 2.3.8

Fantastic AppAwesome app, learning from home opens up a whole new world, and having one just started school this app is great for building on and filling in the gaps from not being at school, my middle child is in yr 1 and is a little behind with reading and comprehension and this is really helping him focus and improve and my oldest is yr 2 and this challenges the comprehension and pushes her a bit to, highly recommend. Have done the free trial and will continue to keep up with this for the whole year..Version: 2.3.13

Good, but could be improvedReading eggs is a great and educational app, but it could be improved. My daughter is extremely annoyed because in the stadium of reading eggs express, it doesn’t show the score of her and the other competitors, so she doesn’t know what or who she is competing against, even though she reseted her iPad multiple times. And stadium does not show the correct answer if students get it wrong so they can’t learn from their mistakes. Overall, Reading Eggs is a good app, very educational if you want your child’s english skills to improve, but please fix the glitches I mentioned above..Version: 2.3.15

App not working (July 28, 2020)The app crashes and will not reopen after I log in. I have restarted my iPad multiple times, but it has not helped. Please fix this or give some guidance on how to fix it. We use this app everyday, and it’s helped my children learn and practice reading skills so well! I recommend it to everyone, but can’t anymore unless I know the app will work. Please advise..Version: 2.3.14

Exceeded my expectationsIt has kept my 6 year old’s attention by switching up the lessons. I’ve used ABC mouse and Lexia core reading 5. They both seem to have lessons that are elongated and he loses interest within 5-10 min. Leaving me feel discouraged. I cannot rave enough about how well though-out this program is. He loves his avatar and seeing him graduate gives him extra motivation. I love the quizzes at the end. I appreciate that he can retake the lessons and quizzes if he chooses to. I have a record of his progress and i get a report via email. The best part of it all is that I can print out worksheets to summarize what he has learned in that particular lesson. It improves his writing. Abc mouse and Lexia never offered that..Version: 3.0.8

Suitable for all!!This app is excellent it is very flexible for all children at different abilities. My son is nearly 9 and has autism. He was unable to read and is non verbal. Since using the app he is now reading three letter words and he is only on Map 4! So glad I started using the app with him and can’t wait to see the rest of the progress he will make. Thank you!!.Version: 3.1.6

Great! This is the only reading app that holds my 5 year old’s attention. I never write app reviews, but this one is so fabulous I just had to. His reading ability has tripled in the few days he’s been using it. He already knew all of his letters and sounds, the the blending of sounds into words just wasn’t “clicking” until this game. I’m so pleased!.Version: 2.3.11

AmazingI cannot emphasise how brilliant this app has been for my daughter during quarantine. We both spend around half an hour a day on it and her reading age went from 4.75 years to 6 years within two months. She is 5 years old. It has also encouraged us to spend positive time together working through things. She went back to school and received a prize for moving up a level instantly on her reading. I cannot thank you enough reading eggs!.Version: 2.4.2

We Love Reading EggsI have tried several different apps to help my boys learn to read. The only one that kept their attention and continued to be fun for them, even after several months of play, was Reading Eggs..Version: 2.4.2

Reading eggs is fantastic but has bugsI have downloaded reading eggs for my kids and they seem to really enjoy getting reading eggs however we have come across a bug,so my child recently went on to reading eggs and it has been crashing it keeps on taking her off of the reading eggs page and back to her home screen my child loves reading eggs and enjoys it so I would love for her to be able to use the app.Version: 2.3.14

My kids love thisI’m happy my kids are happy from this app.Version: 3.0.0

Best educational tool on marketThis app has been extremely beneficial for my 5 year old. While he understands it’s an educational tool and therefore involves ‘work’ it’s not so demanding or time consuming to make him not want to do the levels. It’s also clear from the way the levels are constructed (in terms of the syllabus and reinforcement of previous learnings) that significant thought has gone into its development..Version: 2.3.5

So happy I could just cry!For starters you can tell the person/persons who created this App, has a passion for kids and LEARNING! My daughter struggle with her phonics and was slow in reading. I for one never believed that an app can teach her phonics. I was totaling against digital learning. I became so desperate, I hired a company to help me. I won’t say who, but it was a total waste. One night I went online and started searching for activity sheets, books, games, anything that could help my baby. I came across this APP. My daughter is reading, and she also has excelled in math. I love the progress reports I receive, and lessons. My daughter enjoys learning. This review is for the mother or dad thats reading this and the other reviews thinking to yourself DOES IT REALLY WORK? IT DOES!.Version: 2.3.6

My kids favourite app!My 4 and 6 year olds have been enjoying this app for about a year. I have peace of mind that they are doing something interactive and educational during screen time. The app progresses with the child, there is plenty to keep them engaged and they are rewarded for their efforts. 4yo “I like the songs and the funny characters that hatch from the eggs.” 6yo “I like writing books, Storyland and Mathseeds.” It does require some parent guidance in the early stages, but they soon become independent users. I recommend getting them to read the book at the end of each level aloud to you though. Both of my children have greatly improved their reading, writing and maths skills. They are happy and want to do it! Thanks Reading Eggs team!.Version: 2.3.13

I love itI love this app I played it since I was six! This app changed my life now I’m intelligent! , I used to vs my sister in reading express Stadium and I still now! I also love the driving one after the learning there’s this cute 1 minute car diving that gives u coins! I love the library it tells us so much funny, drama and more! This app gives me so much memories I love it there’s no bugging in it As well! Download it instantly and you will fal in love with it like me thank you reading eggs! 😁.Version: 3.0.7

Absolutely LOVE IT!My four-year-old daughter is in love with Reading Eggs. It’s quickly become her favorite app and it’s a joy to watch her reading journey flourish. Each week she plays, her Daddy and I notice more improvement. We enjoy participating with her, but we love that she happily plays independently. We also enjoy the detailed reports of her progress and award certificates we can print to celebrate her achievements. Definitely recommend!.Version: 4.1.4

Brilliant AppAs previously said the app has its flaws, but overall is a brilliant app. I love the fact it has everything and it’s so easy to use. Only slight quibble is as my LO is only 18m if the screen gets changed and we go back into the app (so we don’t loose our work) the sound doesn’t play until the next chapter of that work. Otherwise I’ve only lightly used it so far, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to other parents with children.Version: 2.4.2

AwesomeI home school my kids and they love it 😍.Version: 2.3.13

Daughter LOVES it!Due to covid19 and finding out the children won’t be going back to school any time soon! I had to find away to help my daughter. She’s only in year 1 and not very good at reading yet. Not being a teacher I don’t feel confident enough I’ll be able to help my little girl be good enough for when she finally goes back to school and don’t want her to be left behind. So was looking for apps to help and found this one. Tried the abc mouse but my daughter found it boring and didn’t want to do it. This app she’s learning and enjoying doing it. Hopefully helps her learn to read and keep interested as she has a short attention span..Version: 2.3.12

1st grader loves learning with this appThis app has so many different parts that your child can explore and learn from. We are using this as part of his homeschool program and it has changed the way he has learned. A few things that would make this app even more exceptional would be in the Mathseed program the names of the animals in a book like they are in reading eggs. He really was bummed by this. Also the treehouse in the Mathseeds could be more interactive. But these don’t effect how the program works. We did find a few in correct things in the workbooks as well..Version: 2.4.2

Brilliant for my sonMy son has SEN - he’s year 2 and working at low end of reception for maths and top end of reception for reading. This app has been brilliant for him - he’s also a reluctant learner, but enjoys going on Reading Eggs and doing his work. I only wish I’d discovered it in lockdown as I think he would have come on really well with both maths and reading and it would definitely have been less of a battle to get him to do his work..Version: 2.4.1

Finally!!After trying so many apps, I’m so greatful I found this one. My five year old is having breakthroughs with this app. Thanks. Love it!.Version: 2.4.1

AmazingMy daughter has only been using this app for three weeks and her Leslie Level has already increased to almost 50. It isn’t something that you should only have them do independently, because parent support is important for encouraging perseverance within the more difficult tasks, but many of the activities are ones that are ones that she can do independently. The platform is user friendly and progresses well for developing reading fluency. Would highly recommend as both a teacher, Curriculum Specialist, and a mom of two..Version: 2.3.8

Love itThis program is amazing! I love that it’s reading and math and fun. Kids can do it themselves. What a great tool! We used it in homeschooling and now with the covid 19 pandemic I’m forced to homeschool again. I love having the program to help with that!.Version: 2.3.13

Excellent for DyslexiaMy son has been using the Mathseeds part of Reading Eggs for 6 months and has gone from year 1 maths to year 3 maths in this short amount of time. The programme is brilliant as there is little reading required (99% is read out to the child by fun exciting characters). We were told my son would not be able to work with double digits without a calculator but Mathseeds has him doing sums with 3 digit numbers and more in his head! Have just started the Reading Eggs programme with my 4 year old and she is really enjoying it- I highly recommend this app it is well worth the price. We also bought hard copy Reading Eggs activity books from the local bookshop which are also fantastic..Version: 2.3.3

Super appThis has helped both my two and four year olds come along massively in the learning. The four year old is reading much ahead of her peers at school and I believe it is mainly down to this app. The only downside to it is that it can’t be played offline. It would be great if some part of it could be played with no internet as mine would definitely use it in the car and on holidays etc when we don’t have access to internet. I would much rather than be doing this that watching programmes. If that could be made accessible then I’d give the review 5 stars!.Version: 3.2.0

Love the activities! We had ABC Mouse, wasn’t helping my 3yr old at all. I came across Reading Eggs and love the focus on phonics and sounding of letters and words. Also love the follow up lessons that you can print out … only issue so far, one particular activity glitches on iPad. My little one has to jump onto my mobile phone to complete that activity then jump back into iPad. Doesn’t deter from rating, excellent activities for 3/4 yr olds and I really appreciate the Library books collection!.Version: 4.0.0

Could be betterI really like Reading Eggspress and my daughter is learning very well. However, as a homeschooling parent I really would appreciate more specific information about how my daughter is doing. I would like a calendar of when she was on snd how long. I find it really helpful that Beast Academy has this feature. I would also like a list of the books she read in the library. My daughter works more independently so this would be helpful to me..Version: 2.4.3

Can you add a new house that we can buyI love reading eggs but can you add house that we can buy and new outfit please.Version: 4.0.0

LOVE THIS APPFrom a teacher’s standpoint, this app is AWESOME!! I love how it takes the child through the different levels slowly and will not let the child progress until they have mastered the skill! The parent reports are helpful also. My kids LOVE IT!! It’s helping my son (7), who is dyslexic and struggles in reading. His confidence is building because he feels like he CAN do it. My daughter (5) is gaining more confidence in her reading as well. Very interactive activities..Version: 2.3.13

Fantastically stimulating!!My 5 year old absolutely loves this app! I never have to remind him it’s time for “study-play”... he challenges himself to do better than the previous level and I love the idea of the different maps the kids can aim to reach. My son and his friend who also has the app on his mothers phone, create games where the first to a specific level is the winner. I’m really pleased with the app and the contents, how it monitors their progress and updates the parents with ways to help! My son is now first in his class for all things English, especially his reading and use of language! :).Version: 2.3.6

Excellent educational appThe Reading Eggs app succeeds in engaging younger learners (my children are 4 and 7) in literacy and numeracy (there is a numeracy element if you choose to subscribe to that) through a fun, ‘game-like’ interface. Children get a real sense of achievement by earning their eggs and being able to buy new things for their dwelling - something which also offers that element of creativity. The accompanying, printable resources are a fantastic support for those wishing to reinforce learning and the progress reports sent via email are an excellent way of keeping up-to-date and of being able to praise children for their progress. The only criticism I have is the difficulty in getting back to the ‘family dashboard’ interface once you’ve moved on. The app also freezes sometimes, but with each update, this has happened less and less. Fantastic resource!.Version: 3.1.4

Love it!! A few ideas….Love it! I do wish the capital “I” and lower case “l” were in fonts that better differentiates the two. Also I wish that, when I place a filter in the library for age, it would “save”. Right now if I close the app and return the next day, the filter (sliding knobs for age) in the library have to be reset. The UI of those sliders are hard for my 5 year old to set (and me too!). I think they would be easier to use as a drop down. But most of all, I wish they would “hold” between uses so that my kid could have the books at her level every time she opens the library and not have to reset them..Version: 3.4.0

Best Reading App Out ThereThis program is awesome! Better than ABC Mouse or Homer in getting you child to learn how to read. We started with Reading Eggs when my daughter turned 2 and she is already reading full sentences. Every activity is fun and educational instead of being kind of silly and a waste of time like in some other programs. Plus it still gives kids the opportunity to build a house and buy things. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.3.12

Good app but freeze and crash a lotThere is a bug in Mathsee Map 5 in lesson 25, which keep freezing and no response at all. Can you make a skipping button? It is really frustrating when kids are playing in deeply. I deleted and reinstalled the app three times, but same problem continues. Currently, I am using 8th gen. IPad with latest IOS version. Thank you in advance..Version: 3.0.2

Phonics at homesMy son moved schools aged 5 post Covid, the new school was teaching using phonics which was a completely new idea for him, whilst his peers had been taught this way for at least 12 months. We had an invite from new teacher to discuss his baseline assessment within first 3 months. 1 month prior to this call we started using the app at home for an hour a day (30 mins morning and 30 mins night). After 6 months he had caught up, after 9 months was top of the class. This is a great app that follows the curriculum but also allows self paced learning. I’d of thought if you home school for early years this app is a god send. Thank you for developing it, it’s had such a positive impact!.Version: 4.1.2

Awesome AppI use this app with my 3 yr old and 5 yr old and it is wonderful. The content is geared very well to their ages and touches upon every thing from letter sounds, sight words, phonics, spelling and math. It is great for learning while teaching two children. One child works with me and the other can do reading eggs independently. There is so much to do we frequently don’t have time to do it all. It can occasionally freeze or close on its own but overall it if fantastic. Very pleased..Version: 2.3.13

I recommendPersonally my son has made a lot of progress he started using it at 4 and a half years old, he enjoys learning and I made this app to learn how to keggere. It worked well by not giving him the iPad every day because I am a mother who is against having children addicted to games or multimedia things. I am very satisfied and her rage logic also makes sense, all in a few days! I advise!!! in total he has been using it for 4 months, I noticed a big change..Version: 2.4.3

AmazingMy eldest son (6) has HFA and absolutely flat out refused to try to learn at Kindy. Wouldn’t draw, colour, write, read, etc but since finding ABC Reading Eggs, he has amazed us all. His teachers included. He is now in Reception and is already reading at the level they expect them to be at the end of the school year and will soon surpass that level with flying colour! Simply AMAZING! Thank you for such a fantastic program! 🥰 We also have my 3yo on it and she has learnt all her colors and letters through the Junior section and I’ll soon be starting her on the actual program to see how she goes. 😊.Version: 2.3.5

Great content; BUT…We love the content. It’s a fun way to learn. We use this as one of our homeschool learning tools. My only problem is the sound CONSTANTLY goes out. We use this on my iPad. It’s quite annoying to have to continuously exit and re-enter the app, in an effort to get the sound to come back on. My child gets very frustrated; because, he has to keep starting over, every time we have to exit and re-enter the app, to get the sound to come back on. When this happens, it takes us over an hour to complete one level. It’s very annoying. With each app update, we hope the problem is fixed; but, NOPE! The sound is currently going out. So, I came to write this review; because, we’re frustrated and hope the developers will “squish” THIS bug!.Version: 3.0.8

Quarantine Favorite!Purchased app because it was recommended by my brother who is a surgeon and uses it with all of his kids. My daughter used the app and I can say I was skeptical because the design and graphics were not of highest quality, however, I must say it really actually works and my daughter LOVES playing the game. She is actually learning sounds and how to read. She also retains the information through repetition. The best app I have seen for reading especially..Version: 2.3.13

Amazing appHave just started using this for my 3.5 year old before he starts school and this is one of the best apps I have tried. Nice for it to be on a monthly subscription as well and not an annual fee as like with all things you never know when a child will stop using things they previously loved! Hopefully he will continue loving his reading egg journey :).Version: 3.3.1

Hands upIt is worth every penny. I thought of giving this rating because I don’t agree with the average rating. My son use this program nightly before going to bed. Compared to other educational apps, this is the best..Version: 2.3.0

Worth every pennyI am a teacher at during the pandemic I needed a program to put my then 4 year old on while I taught from home. I had tried other programs when my daughter was young and really wasn’t satisfied, so I looked for a new one and found this. This app taught my son to read. No exaggeration. My son will be starting kindergarten on a second grade reading level. There is also Math in the app too, which we use. It’s harder to tell what grade level he would be in math but he is clearly beyond a kindergarten level. I’m amazed and grateful, because it saved my sanity while I was working and really built a great foundation for him..Version: 3.0.2

Excellent but so many bugsMy son loves this app and has learned to read from it. He loves lessons and activities and we have seen him learn to read in just a few months of using this app every day. He has been using this since 2 years old and is now 4, and he learned most things he knows from here. He can mostly operate it by himself which is great for busy parents, although when he was younger he needed help. The biggest issue with this app is the bugs that often occur. We have tried deleting and downloading it again but still the app will freeze or log out every few minutes. If you could fix this issue it would be perfect..Version: 3.0.3

Fabulous appReally pleased with this app. My 5 year old son has been a little reluctant to engage with reading but the Reading Eggs app has helped to change this. He loves going through the maps and finding out which character is contained within each egg. To do this he has to complete a series of games and challenges. I can see visible progress in terms of his understanding of sounds and reading words on sight, not to mention a definite enthusiasm for letters and reading. I like the way that sentence structure is included within the games which will in time help his writing at school..Version: 2.4.3

HiHello my brother loves this app a lot he just thinks the characters are a bit creepy.Version: 3.5.1

Good app but music distractingThe program has helped me in teaching my preschooler and he enjoys it. I think it’s best done together with a smaller child to help them learn as opposed to just play around with the app. I really wish you could disable the music however - please can you include this option? It’s distracting, my child says it’s too noisy and it is at times very irritating. Unfortunately if you turn the volume down you then can’t hear the voice over so you’re stuck with it. A shame for an otherwise good program but easily fixed if the developers agree to do so..Version: 3.5.1

A really good appThis app has its flaws, which is fine - it’s not superhuman, or created by a superhuman? Despite these, which are only in some of the words offered without deep enough explanation and maybe the method of a ‘magic e’, it’s great for kids who aren’t as purely visual. What I mean is it displays a method of multi-media (whilst being all in one place) so your child can learn in different ways and games. The maths leaves a bit to be desired as the questions require some reading at a level that doesn’t match up with the same age (that could use looking at), but all in all, it’s really benefitted my daughter. She’s not purely visual and needs a varied stimulus to grasp onto things easily. It’s certainly enabled me to move more efficiently and fairly between here and my other three children (all different abilities, ages and curriculums) this lockdown, where my time has been stretched with home schooling. I don’t want to neglect one child to the others detriment. Her reading is really coming on and it has increased her confidence. We will continue to use it and I may use it with my youngest as and when the time comes if I think it’ll benefit his style of learning too?.Version: 2.3.13
