✓ Used to be good - now just frustrating!The app used to be really good and my children loved it. Across my 3 kids of various ages we have probably used it for around 6 or 7 years in total. It used to make brushing twice a day just a little bit exciting and they loved the pictures and daily star rewards. However, now, on a daily basis, the app is “unavailable” between 6:30pm and 7:30pm every evening!! i.e. bed time for a lot of kids across the UK. On the basis that the whole reward system is based on the app logging your progress twice a day, it makes the whole thing pointless!! I can only assume it is doing some sort of daily server update every day that has been timed (although god knows why it needs such regular updates as it’s only a glorified timer and why that has to prevent users from connecting instead of running in the background) but it could literally not be timed worse. It started off that the kids would be disappointed every night when the app didn’t work. Now they have basically given up and lost interest. It’s a real shame that the interest in the app has been destroyed by a perfectly avoidable reason! I gave it 2 stars, more based on the history and the fact I know it can be good. In its current form it has to be zero stars because it’s basically worthless..Version: 6.3.1
✓ Sound effects don’t workEvery time we use this app I have to go into the setting and switch the music off then on again so it will work but the sound effects still don’t work. We also can’t scan the picture on the toothbrush to get new characters and they are definitely the correct kind as it scanned one of the toothbrushes in a pack of 4. ✓ Was a 5 star review but 1 major snagFirst and foremost my 2 year old daughter loves it. She brushes her teeth for the full 2 minutes twice a day and loves looking at her stickers after. Previously my only criticism was the scanning was a bit iffy. However I have just upgraded my device and have lost everything. All the characters and stickers we accumulated to date have been lost. My daughter is devastated as Disney have advised there is no way of recovering or transferring between the devices. This to me seems like such an easy thing for the developer to do to allow a child’s progress to be captured on any device and build up over the months / years. ✓ Please update to make this app compatible with Xs! My kid doesn’t want to brush without the timerSo I literally almost regret buying this brand new phone because the app doesn’t work properly now. Honestly it wasn’t even something I thought about at the time of purchase, you tend to assume all your apps (especially one from Disney who has big bucks) will work. My son and I have made a ritual out of using this app as part of our morning routine and when it didn’t work yesterday he refused to brush his teeth. He’s 6. So today I deleted and reinstalled (after looking at the App Store and realizing my phone isn’t supported) to see if I could get anything. We were able to get the timer, but no sound. No stickers ( well, it was some WiFi symbol, my son looked at me and gave me a courtesy smile). All the purchases are lost and the restore button won’t work. Please, please Disney - if you are going to suggest to take my money (which I’m happy to pay for, if it helps my son develop these critical habits) and enter into my child’s morning routine, honor that. ✓ Used to be niceI originally got this app years ago when it was first released and my son loved it. We had fun collecting all the pictures and my son was always happy to brush his teeth. I didn’t like how you ALWAYS had to scan. I had to keep old toothpaste tubes in order to keep those particular characters. We ended up obtaining all the pictures and then we stopped getting new ones. It became boring and then one day all of our pictures were gone. It was disappointing and we stopped using the app. Fast forward to today and the app doesn’t even open. It just stays on the loading screen. I’m not looking forward to actually opening the app and seeing all of my son’s progress is gone. ✓ Not very reliableIf you have sensitive kids, do not download this app. It doesn’t work sometimes. They brush their teeth for 2 min and at the end of the timer the app does not recognize they had done it and does not give them the full stars and the sticker. Right now it is not even opening and my kids had a small tantrum because they didn’t want to waste brushing their teeth without having the app timer. ✓ I wanted to love this appI started to give the app 2 stars but then I realized, it does make my kid brush her teeth, so I’ll give 3. Nonetheless, she didn’t even use this app for 5 days and pictures started duplicating. I starting to feel bad for her because she was enjoying it so much, so I bought her the Frozen package for $3.99 vs purchasing a toothbrush or toothpaste we don’t need yet. She has used Anna once, Elsa once and Olaf once, each one was the same picture. And not even a cute picture. It’s a silhouette of a deer and it says “I grew up in nature”. ✓ Great concept but gets annoyingThe goal of the app is great and worth putting up with the incessant requests to leave feedback. It encourages 2mins of brushing which is all that really matters. However, many of the ‘two times per day’ rewards don’t show up (I.e. only half a star) causing my kids to feel let down or disappointed by their efforts. Fortunately recent fixed resolved the ‘pictures not showing in the background’ and the need to manually start the background music have been resolved. Hopefully, they’ll also remove the request to rate the app after every brush. Bottom line, use it to get the kids to brush a full 2 mins but be prepared for the app not to reward some successes..Version: 6.2.2

✓ Very disappointed girlsWe got to the end of the first book, the Mickey one (as the Frozen head didn’t scan) and it just keeps adding stickers. I manually added stars and eventually filled it up after 2.5 months worth of stars and it still doesn’t go to the next book. ✓ DisappointingStarted using this a year ago on my Apple iPhone XR and the kids were really into it. For the last couple of months the app has failed. The sound doesn’t work. Initially I managed to solve this by sending the app to the background and reopening again but this doesn’t work now. Without the sound the app is less appealing and the kids are left feeling annoyed. On most occasions now they have been rewarded with a blue page and a WiFi symbol instead of a picture. There is no connectivity issue, WiFi and 4G working fine on the phone. There is no way of reporting this as you are taken to the Disney store when trying to report a problem. They would love to use the app and increase the sticker album but they are left disappointed each time. Such a shame as it started off really promising..Version: 6.2.0
✓ Kind of disappointedI’ve heard about this app from lots of people, so decided to try it because we already had a few kids oral-b products. It worked great for a short time and my kids we excited, but after adding 2 characters for each of my children, the app now tells me it cannot scan any of the products I have or it scans, not with correct character (I.e. Cinderella scans, but takes me to Mickey Mouse). I bought a multi-pack of the character toothbrushes, which now we can certainly use to brush our teeth, but not unlock characters on the app. So we are stuck watching the same 2 characters. I’ve tried to scan products on both my phone and iPad, and have the same results on both, even after updates. Maybe next time, I’ll skip the expensive toothbrushes for another brand. I’ve tried visiting the help site, but that doesn’t work either. However, if anyone knows how to fix the problem, I’d be interested to hear, since my kids seem to enjoy the app..Version: 4.0.7
✓ Kids love it, but I’m disappointedFirst of all, let me say that my kids LOVE this app and it has made teeth brushing so much easier. HOWEVER, there are some big flaws with the app that I hope will be fixed. 1. It is REALLY difficult to scan products. I haven’t been able to get many products to scan, and a couple of the ones that did unlocked the wrong character (e.g., scanned a Belle toothbrush and unlocked Minnie). 2. The only ways to unlock new characters are to buy them for 0.99 or scan a product. This disappoints me because I feel like there should be a way for my kids to “earn” the characters after brushing their teeth consistently for a certain amount of time. I get around this by rewarding them with a new character myself after a set number of brushes, but I’m annoyed that I have to pay for it. 3. The app doesn’t work on my iPhone X. ✓ So frustrating!My kids have been using this app for a couple of years, have collected tons of stickers and used to be able to choose any character they wanted, which was hugely motivating! All of a sudden, the “AR MODE” unlocked, which meant ALL of their characters were locked, ALL of the stickers they have earned over the years were gone, and they could only use Mickey or a Star Wars character. They got over it and used it for about a week. I was able to unlock Rapunzel by scanning a toothpaste we had. Lo and behold, a week after everything was deleted, the same thing happened and here we are again, two disappointed kids are back to square one! ✓ Good idea but app poorly designedCan not sync profiles between IOS devices. Therefore all progress, stickers and reminders do not transfer. I was able to sync unlocked characters after some fiddling with iCloud sharing but the profiles didn’t come up. Link to Customer Service in app just takes you to a FAQs page. ✓ Crashing and unreliability = 1 starThe app, in principle, is a great idea. I’ve had it for a few months now and it crashed after the IOS 11 update. I contacted the support and passed on the information and I was told it was a developer issue and they would rectify. They didn’t. I re-installed the app, losing all my daughter’s hard earned stickers and characters, and it finally seemed to be working. However, it has crashed again! It IS so FRUSTRATING and, as people have mentioned before, you would think a Disney sponsored app would be better. It’s poor and unreliable and, quite frankly, deserves no stars whatsoever. ✓ Scam!I’ve had this app for a few years. My daughters had all the characters downloaded because we had bought so many Oral B products. We lost it all when they did the update this year and every character became locked. I told my daughters that we would just buy more toothbrushes and toothpaste. I bought three toothbrushes today: Minnie, Belle, and Cinderella. Minnie scanned fine, no problems. When I scanned Cinderella it kept the character as Mickey. We already had Belle unlocked so I scanned Cinderella under her to see if it would change Belle to Cinderella. Well, it changed the one princess that we had to Mickey! Talk about mad...my children had a fit! Just like another person leaving a review my husband and I both had the app on our phones. ✓ This is a fun app...when it works.I downloaded this app on a few of our devices (my iPhone 6, my husband’s iPhone 8 Plus, and my daughters old iPad). It worked on all 3 for a few months. I replaced my phone in the mean time and now have an iPhone XR...I try to open the app on it...it never gets past the opening screen. So I tried to open it on my daughter’s iPad today...it closed after the loading screen over and over. Another annoying issue with it is that I purchased one of the characters on my iPhone 6, but it did not transfer to any of our other devices. I’m not going to buy that character on each device. So I give it two stars because when it does actually load, it’s fun and my daughter loves it. ✓ Bloated and inexplicably requires InternetI simply cannot fathom why on Earth this app demands the internet every time it starts up. This has led to a few occasions where I’ve been unable to log my child’s tooth brushing simply because I had no reception. Madness! ✓ So frustrating!My daughter had a years worth of stickers and different characters since we’d gone through so many toothbrushes. And then all of a sudden your app quit working, just froze up one day and refused to work. Made sure everything was updated, no use. We have gone from battles to brush teeth to a great brushing routine however after using since April snd building up sticker collections on many characters tonight we opened to find all his stickers were lost. ✓ Purchased characters are disappointingThis is working a treat to teach my daughter how long to brush. The free Minnie and Mickey ones have fun music and seem to have more pictures. The Anna Frozen one has an Olf ident and Olaf clock and the music is slow and boring. The Rapunzel one is equally dull. You are offer £3.45 to get three characters but it’s cheaper to buy them individually at £0.89 (£2.67 for three). The Sox Lightyear one is dreadful. No cat on the timer and a scary picture of Zorg revealed. No cat anywhere!! Lightyear stickers even, not Sox ones! And having been disappointed the first time I at least hoped for different picture on subsequent turns but alas no, it’s the same picture every time. This makes my daughter want to buy more characters, which is probably the point, but she’s disappointed every time. Not happy. It’s simply not worth buying the others..Version: 8.0.3
✓ Doesn’t keep streaks!!Part of the app is that it keeps track of the number of days the kids have brushed, BUT if you have to manually edit the calendar for any reason (ex:phone isn’t available to run the timer) the app resets the streak count!!! Try telling a small child that they lost their “streak” because of a programming bug after 30-60 days when they did indeed brush their teeth for all of those days! There’s also a bug about how it counts the times brushed in a day. If you don’t run the timer once in the morning and once at night you won’t get credit for 2. Maybe the kids didn’t get a chance to brush till 1pm, then brushed again at 8pm. Only get credit for 1, lose your streak, and if you manually edit the calendar it’s now better due to that issue And finally, whose brilliant idea was it to only allow the brushing data to be stored on a single device? My kids don’t always have access to the same device, so running the timer isn’t always an option. The data should be stored in an account that can be accessed on multiple devices. These issues aren’t new, they’ve been around a while and Oral-B makes no attempt to resolve them. Oral-B, fix the app or get rid of it. If these issues weren’t here this app would get 5 stars because it does encourage my kids to brush, but as it stands I deal with them being DISCOURAGED from brushing because “the app might not record it.”.Version: 6.3.1

The main problems are the infuriating difficulty with scanning characters, plus the fact that if you lose the app or your phone, when you download it again you have to start the picture albums - and time-consuming character scanning - from scratch. ✓ What happened?This app used to work well, except for a scanning feature that is not user friendly. But over the last several months, the music and sound haven’t worked. I’ve had to go into settings and turn it off and back on. And even then only half the sound worked. But now the sound isn’t working at all. Total silence. Stickers used to be revealed no problem. Then if your WiFi wasn’t spectacular you’d just reveal a “sticker” of an hour glass and WiFi lines. Now it’s been weeks since a sticker has shown up. Internet speed can be 200 mbps, still just the hour glass and WiFi lines. No actual stickers. This app would still be useful if they fixed it. But as it stands it’s now completely useless. ✓ Big disappointment.A few months ago I decided to download this app for my twin toddlers since teeth brushing time was always an issue. The app worked awesome! My kids loved it and actually looked forward to brushing their teeth. I recommended it to all of my friends. My husband downloaded it too so each kid could brush at the same time and pick their own character. After an update, my husband lost all the characters and everything was locked except Mickey. Luckily I still had everything so it wasn’t that big of a deal, they just took turns. However, often the app wouldn’t even load which resulted in teeth brushing protests. A few updates later, I lost all the characters too and everything was locked except Mickey which didn’t go over very well with my 4 year old daughter that was looking forward to Minnie that night. We even went through all the work to scan purchased items to unlock characters to appease our disappointed kids only to find everything gone again the following day - including my sons whole profile. With all the crashes and now losing all the characters, my kids don’t even want to use the app anymore. Such a bummer. We really loved the app but it’s not a lot of fun to keep having to recreate profiles and unlock things over and over again. Please fix this and give us all of our characters back. ✓ Worked great until the update...As many recent reviewers have indicated this app worked well until the major update to newest version. Kids enjoyed it and enjoyed collecting rewards or unlocking additional characters AND willingly brushed their teeth. My kids had a few years’ worth of products and characters built up. After the update we lost any progress, characters, etc. that we previously had and were left with just Mickey and bb8 with no option to restore. The scan feature to add new products frequently does not work; it took me over 15 minutes to add a new character toothbrush tonight, which I only accomplished through sheer perseverance, long after kids were already done brushing. Other products I have previously bought have not scanned in either - no error message, just plain does not work most of the time. Used to work just fine with no problem prior to update. Very frustrating because that’s basically the point of the app to buy the products, scan them in, and enjoy them. First of all, I refuse to buy 3000 dental products in order for my kids to be able to access all the different characters. Once you unlock one, you should have access to all in the group. We have had to download this app four times due to glitches when updates occur. Each time, we have lost data, and the kids are so upset that all of their progress is lost. Not only that, the scan feature RARELY works! My daughter just got a Spider Man toothbrush at the dentist, and it’s Oral B, but will it scan? Nope! When the app does work, about 40% of the time, the kids get this weird timer symbol instead of the promised sticker. ✓ Needs bug fixesAt first this was a great incentive for my kids to brush their teeth- they still love it and get excited to use the timer. However, the toothbrush images almost never scan, so I have had to get images emailed from customer service multiple times to unlock the characters. Even more frustrating is that every time we use the timer it takes increasingly more tries to get the timer to work. The “sticker” is just a blue WiFi image for the first 4, 5, or more times my kids try to brush. If we are in a hurry we do not have time to try five or more times which leads to some tears or worse when they are disappointed not to get to use the timer. ✓ This app has caused tearsMy autistic daughter loved this app and it was a brilliant until she didn’t press ok once the 2 minutes of brushing were up and she’d seen her sticker. ✓ Worked great, but now it’s buggyMy daughter loves this but after the last few updates, it’s full of bugs. We get the same picture reveal each time, day after day. We even bought new characters in case we’d seen all the stickers but even then we still get the same reveal over and over. ✓ Works at first then music stopsThis apps works well for 3 weeks and then the music stop playing. I have confirmed that the music is not muted in the settings and have even tried muting and un-muting but it doesn’t help. I now have 2 toddlers, we used it for my first one and it too has some glitches and she lost all her stickers. As a programmer myself, I would have expected Disney to hire better app developers. ✓ Needs improvement, but does the jobMy daughter is 2 and really loves this app. That being said, as an adult, there are definitely areas that need to be worked on. The sound is inconsistent, to put it simply. Most often, I have to go into the settings, turn the sound off and back on again, just to be able to hear it. And considering the noise is a huge part of the “reward,” to have to do it over and over is a bit frustrating. Even doing so, it drops out, a LOT. Also, my darling daughter who had no idea what Star Wars is, loves the Storm Trooper avatar. I paid the 99 cents but this only gives you the avatar. ✓ When it works...Like many reviews said over the course of two years, this app is wonderful when it works. More than half the time, the music doesn’t work. I can usually get it back when I turn the setting on an off, but most of the time it won’t play sound from the cut screen or the brushing. I also just bought brand new Oral-B brushes whose characters are available in app, only to spend an hour of nothing but failed scans. Good thing their old toothbrushes still scan in the same setting, but it’s a moot point. There should be absolutely no reason why brand new toothbrushes will not scan. Pros: my kids brush for longer and more efficiently. They were cavity free, and I’m sure it’s got plenty to do with this app. Developers, please please PLEASE fix the issue with scanning and sound. She enjoyed unlocking new characters, dancing to the music while brushing and looking at her casts ticker collection afterward. I recommended this to all the parents I knew. And then I updated the app (to version 4.0.4) and EVERYTHING is gone. Her profile, her stickers and all the characters we unlocked. All gone. I contacted customer service and the response was to upgrade to version 4.0.4, the very version that caused the problem. Additionally, I was told I’d need to re scan (aka buy) each and every character again to be able to unlock them. I’m extremely disappointed and my 3 yo is devastated, refusing to brush with Mickey (the only character unlocked). It would be lovely if, when you buy a new character as a treat for your child, that it didn’t start their sticker collection from the beginning (they already have a profile name, so why does changing the avatar reset their progress?). Anybody with children will know the issues that’ll cause. Also, there are scenarios (illness, travel, etc.) when a child might brush their teeth at 12:01 in the afternoon, but that loses them their “twice a day” progress, which can be quite significant to a child who’s proud of what they’ve been doing. ✓ Unable to OpenWe have loved the app up until now. We have been using it a couple years, gathered all the characters and have accumulated a lot of stickers. I recently upgraded my phone and the app won’t even go past the title screen. Everything should be seamless when switching phones and this app never seems to be the case. It has worked great to cut down on the drama around brushing teeth (I have a 5 year old)... until last night, that is. I bought two new Oral B products online, the stages power electric tooth brush and a battery powered one for travel (we have a trip coming up). My son was VERY excited to scan them and get access to new characters. Well, the power toothbrush won’t scan (it is Nemo) and we’ve tried at least 20 times. The battery powered brush we got was BB-8 (I bought it online and didn’t get to pick the character) which also didn’t unlock any new characters because we already had access to BB-8. ✓ Issues from the get-go 👎🏻Downloaded the app and attempted to scan my son’s Ironman tooth brush. It never even worked. I tried 20+ times. Different angles, different distances away from the camera, put a solid sheet of paper behind the tooth brush. Nothing. He’s not really interested in Mickey, which is the only character available without scanning a purchased product - which we tried. He was really excited to see what happened when we scanned Ironman. ✓ Pretty cool when it works...but it often doesn’tThe latest update has broken the app so that the brushing animation uncovers a generic photo with a timer and a Wifi signal. WORKAROUND: Stop the timer as soon as you see that image being uncovered and change to a different character. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to what works and what doesn’t, but this often gets an actual sticker to unveil instead of the timer photo. If you don’t have multiple characters, changing to a different photo of that character might work (each character has three different “poses” to choose from). The app is very difficult when it comes to scanning new products. I’ve not been able to get it to work at all on the new Stormtrooper products. It is super frustrating when we brush twice a day and the app doesn’t count it. We have lost our streaks multiple times in the last few weeks. For some reason it is keeping my sons streak alive with almost 220 days and all of my kids should be that way, but every 3-4 days it acts like they didn’t brush their teeth for the morning time ( which we all did) and then they lose their streak. Since we are supposed to be encouraging them and not getting them upset for losing progress. I thought that it was just me missing one in the group brushing, but after a few times of it just missing a brushing I know it’s the app and not me. When you go back and fix it, so they have brushed twice in the day it also doesn’t continue their streak, which causes kids to be upset. This really needs to be fixed, let the parents choose if they should continue with the streak or not. We have been using this app for years, but I am really thinking about finding something else..Version: 6.3.1
✓ Looks good but Haven’t been able to scanBought the Spider-Man electric toothbrush for my son and just downloaded the app. Haven’t been able to scan the Spider-Man in order to unlock that character. The guide says if still unable (after following the guide) to take a picture and contact customer support but contact details (apart from phone number - of which I’m in a different country) aren’t easily found - just want an email address to send the photo to….Version: 9.4.0
✓ Potential, but poor executionThe timer is fine, graphics are cute, my kids enjoy getting stickers. If it was advertised as just that, I’d probably give it another star. However, it is marketed as something that can integrate with Crest and Oral B products, where I can buy certain products, scan the product into the phone, and unlock new characters. I have tried several products and tried all the troubleshooting tips and have not been able to get a single character to scan! It’s incredibly frustrating to continue to buy these specific products only to disappoint my 4-year-old again! Additionally, there needs to be a family sharing capability. I leave for work before my kids get ready for school, so they brush with dad in the morning. Then he’s at work when they brush in the evening with my phone. I think having the multi day streaks is very motivating, so it would be great if the app was reflective of how often they actually brush..Version: 6.3.1
✓ 1 minute timer?My kids love this app but unable to purchase the new Raya and the last dragon pack. Very glitchy. Also timer is only for 1 minute when dentist recommended 2 minutes so not enough time which seems pointless.Version: 6.3.0
✓ Keeps focus but unstable and dodgy scannerI have never been able to get the app to pick up the characters from the camera scanner.. also I have to keep changing the on board themes all the time because it keeps giving me a “no connection” sticker after a few brushes (yes of course I’m connected). Aside from the dodgy execution of the app the concept is brilliant and keeps my daughter focused on brushing (apart from when she’s disappointed we can’t get new sticker sets from dodgy scanner or the sticker fails to load).Version: 6.0.0
✓ Broken again! Stickers not showing nor saving correctlySo a big update brings new problems. New interface is possibly easier to use but brushed stickers aren’t showing for the characters. Instead a WiFi and timer semiotic is revealed when brushing. This ‘sticker’ then follows the usual process to enter the respective album but isn’t actually saved. When the album is opened there is no new sticker. Also, the timeout before one can brush again is simple far to long. We had a lazy morning today and brushed our teeth later than usual. 7 hours later we are unable to brush again despite trying to get ready for bedtime. I can understand a couple of hours lock out so people don’t collect loads of stickers without actually brushing but this is silly..Version: 6.0.0

✓ Seriously lacking appThe premise of the app is a great idea to get kids brushing their teeth properly. However, for 2 extremely large companies to put their name to an app that boasts features that simply do not work is shocking! After spending over half an hour trying to scan the picture as shown it still will not work. One unhappy child and frustrated parent later and I have given up on this “feature” in its entirety. Come on Disney and Oral-B you can surely do better than this!.Version: 4.0.5
✓ Terrible at times.Had this app on different devices for a couple of months: Good things: Kids are interested in brushing more Helps regulate them brushing It's fun Bad things: Often doesn't scan Chooses wrong item (example, monsters inc toothpaste brought out Rapunzel.........) If there are any pop ups or kids pull top/bottom of device down, app needs restarting. And the big one, the most irritating part of any app I've ever downloaded.. on items will multiple characters (avengers, princesses etc) there is NO DROP DOWN or other selection menu, leading to 20 minutes of scanning to get ironman, after having hulk 56 times! Absolutely terrible that is, there should be an additional menu to choose on multiple choice. Forgoing use of this app(and toothpaste brands) now, on all devices..Version: 4.0.0
✓ Don’t buy any characters!Purchased 3 characters that were charged to my account. They didn’t unlock in the app. Contacted apple who told me to contact the app developer. The support within the app just takes you to a page with common questions and answers. I contacted Disney directly and they said they couldn’t do anything about it..Version: 8.0.3
