MyQuest for Patients for Negative User Reviews

😡This re-do of the first Quest app is AWFUL!!Quest, you have FAILED.👎 I’ve had an ‘account’ through Quest for many years. Then awhile back, I find out that instead of just updating the then-existing app, Quest made a completely new, separate one! No notification. Only find out when I tried to access my ‘original’ Quest app. Had to make a brand-new account and re-enter all my personal info, such as address, DOB, insurance. NOT A QUICK PROCESS!! ALSO, not very easy to navigate. When looking for a location for appointments, instead of saying the location does not take appointments, it will say ‘no appointments available’. AND then, show the next nearest location, which may be over 10+ miles away, yet still have none available within the day or next day you’re looking for. Good luck to anyone else that finds this out the hard way AND gets to have the fun of enjoying the app (NOT) every time they have to use it👎.Version: 3.03

Terrible customer service. Positive reviews must have been paid forThey’re a joke, right? Bought and paid for is all I can presume. There’s no way this many people have a positive experience with this company. The app, itself, is not the worst, but Quest Diagnostics has provided nothing but headaches for us. My child’s Covid 19 test results were not provided to us at all. Status fluctuated between “Physician Notification” and “Results Available”. No one would respond to requests tor information. After several attempts to contact an actual customer service representative who could help, I managed to obtain the lab results. Guess what? Two days later, the app still lists the results as “Physician Notification.” This is, at the very least, completely irresponsible of them. Get the labs posted to the app or don’t claim the app/website are the best ways to get the results. I’ll certainly be making sure I know what labs are going to be processing any of our medical samples moving forward. If it’s Quest, we know we can’t presume results will be available unless we scramble for them. Terrible.Version: 3.4

Recent update screwed this app upI loved this app for many years. So easy to use and having labs available on my phone proved very useful at doctors appointments. One of my favorite tools built into the app are the graphs! So you can pull up your most recent lab (for example Cholesterol) and then she the entire history of your past labs on a graph. However, one of the more recent updates screwed this all up and makes the app almost unusable now. NOW When pulling up lab results, they are no longer in order of timeline of visits (dates of service). Since the update, they are not sorted at all (not that I can see), so you have to scroll through ALL results looking for the particular date of service. The results are all over the place, 2021, then a date in 2019, followed by a date in 2023. It’s all mixed up. Multiple times I’ve been in a doctors office and tried to pull up these now un-sorted labs and it took far to long to locate them because I have so many to look through. I’ve used Quest exclusively for years mainly because of their app, but if this problem isn’t fixed soon, I’ll be switching to a different lab that offers an app or online login and access to lab results that can be sorted properly to promote ease of use. PLEASE fix this problem so I don’t have to move!.Version: 3.17

Lab workThey’re nice people and get you in and out, so I rate them a 5 star, BUT the 3 stars I gave was to Quest and or appointment scheduling, or computer or whoever that apparently cancelled my appointment I made through the app and when I came in for my 12noon lab appointment and signed in Express sign in, it said they had no times available for walk ins but I could go to app and schedule an appointment?!?! I got to the sign in stand at 12:05pm and if it was because of that reason you cancelled me then that’s crap you!!! Now I’m scheduling again and I hope your sign in stand doesn’t do this to me again because I d gotta get these labs done this week in order to have my surgery on Jan. 19th. Not happy that I took my time off to come get labs for the surgery and this happened. SJ I’ll be sure to be extra early to stand in line for the sign in stand! I hope it doesn’t happen again!.Version: 3.15

Ugh…It’s good in theory. But when I tried to add my insurance, I put all of the information in, and then there was no button to tap to continue other than the “I’ll provide insurance info later”. So all of that was lost, and they won’t have our insurance verified when we get there, which will probably result in us waiting longer. And when it asks for your date of birth, you can’t just type it in. You also can’t change the month before you change the year, or it scrolls you right back to the current month. You have to scroll to the year, then the month, then select the date from a calendar. Such a waste of time. Another thing they could add is for you to monitor several patients on the same account. It’s just a kind of clunky, difficult app. It has potential, like I love being able to access my own results and having them with me when I go to doctors, but it could be so much better..Version: 3.11

Worst App with terrible customer serviceFor over a month I have sent screenshot after screenshot, changed my password numerous times to still get the same message, please try to login at a later time and to contact MyQuestSupport. Each time I log the request I get the same response.. I show you have successfully logged in (mind you I have sent another screenshot that has the time with the error message IMMEDIATELY after I get the quest support email so obviously that’s not true) . It tells me to change my password.. So I try again, then send ANOTHER screenshot back to myquest support showing, still not successful. A day later, I get the same idiotic email stating they show I successfully logged in. First off, you inputted someone else’s test results in my chart and ever since I informed you that you made a mistake you have locked me out of my account. At what point will your support desk actually read the emails and see that I’ve followed every direction with still no luck?!.Version: 2.18

Retain infoWhy can’t Quest retain insurance information. I was just at a Quest office this week for a blood draw for a different doctor. Why logging into MY QUEST ACCOUNT do I have to enter my insurance info as if this was my first time from scratch. My Medicare info has not changed as long as I have been using it. Furthermore - your system does not let you enter in Medicare as your primary as it really is. If I enter Medicare as primary (which is what it is) a screen does not come up looking for the secondary to Medicare. So to pass the secondary to you so it may be properly billed - your system doesn’t allow for putting in the Medicare as primary. Putting in Medicare as primary does not allow for adding secondary. Why wouldn’t you want ALL the correct information from the start? Very strange!.Version: 3.13

Difficult to useThe MyQuest app is a great way to schedule an appointment … if you are the CFO of Quest looking to cut costs by getting rid of all the personnel who answer the phone for scheduling appointments. For those trying to make an appointment, not so much. Just one example out of many: trying to enter your date of birth the screen will show today’s date with rolling lists of Month, Day, and Year. When you try to change the month to your birth month, it will fill down to your month and as soon as you let go, it rolls right back to the current month. It did the same thing with day and year. Finally — in frustration — I made all three spin at once and when they stopped it was a date in January of 1998. After that, I was able to enter my date of birth with no problem..Version: 3.12

Many FlawsAmazingly bad, and amazingly and bad for a long time given that it is a huge and important company. Many flaws such as app doesn’t prompt the user to sign into their account until late in the appointment making process. After one picks an appointment, the app then asks you to start typing in your demographic information as if you were new to the app and quest. Even after you then find a way to sign in, it does not carryover one’s medical insurance information from the last visit such that all of one’s insurance info has to be re-entered for each appointment. Populating the medical insured DOB is extremely problematic as there is no ability to type it in and there are not drop down features for the year of birth, etc. Instead it will show the current date and then when one tries to change it, there is a calendar displaying the current month of the current year and then one has to reverse scroll through every month in history back to the calendar month in the year of one’s birth in order to then select on their birthdate..Version: 3.7

DO NOT USE IF YOU NEED FAST RESULTS!!! Unable to get resultsThe app itself works fine but quest diagnostics is broken. I bought my test and went in (the people there were great, don’t get me wrong) and I provide my sample. 24 hours later I got an email saying my results were ready to view but I had to verify my identity first. The app asked me a series of questions they got from a database to prove that it was actually me before they could actually give me my results. I thought the questions were odd because they were questions about where my estranged relatives lived and where I went to college. Anyways I somehow didn’t answer these questions right and I got locked out for 72 hours!!! I tried contacting customer services with messages and calls but I never got a response. I have now waited the 72 hours and I tried the questions again and proved I am who I really am but my results have yet to show up. I am extremely frustrated! I paid out of pocket for this test and my results have been ready for days!! This company and website is broken!!! I highly recommend going somewhere else if you need fast results!!!! They need to fix this and make it easier for people to get their results..Version: 3.4

Not User FriendlyI have a My Quest account. I just tried to schedule an appointment for a routine blood draw. At the bottom of the appointments page there are 3 options for Insurance: 1) I want to save time and provide insurance information now; 2) I will bring proof of insurance to my appointment; 3) I do not have insurance. I selected 1 even though I am in Quest’s system. After filling in the form there is no apparent way to save this information. I tried three times before giving up and selecting option 2. Only the was I able to schedule my appointment. If Quest is going to rely solely on technology to schedule appointments they need to fix this. Why even ask anything more of those with Quest accounts than “has your insurance changed since your last appointment?” I have been going to the same Quest testing site for 4 yrs now, and the staff at the location is always helpful - they are great at what they do. Sadly I can’t say the same about Quest’s IT team..Version: 3.17

What works about it works very wellBut when it doesn’t work, it’s very frustrating. I love the fact that I can get my results on my quest and see them all written out with highs and lows over time. That’s excellent. However, making an appointment and getting that little barcode and confirming it, signing in at the facility: no part of this works smoothly. If you have trouble with any of this (such as vision issues, inaccessibility or computer illiteracy) expect to be treated rudely at the facility. You will be told to bring someone capable to do this for you so they don’t have to help! Terrible customer service. Update: I bumped the rating up a star because now I just go online to make an appointment…no problems if I avoid the Quest app. Having an appointment means being taken within 5 minutes of your scheduled time. That’s very nice..Version: 3.9

Please read⚠️I got my blood drawn here and the lady who did it took like 5-6 samples of blood. I don’t know if that’s too much. It probably could have been for my body since I’m so skinny and it probably couldn’t handle it. On my way out though I started to feel dizzy and I fainted right there. After it happened I still felt horrible HOURS LATER and I actually thought I was about to die. I even went to the ED to make sure I was okay. Thank god I feel a little better now. Please don’t go to this place. My sister also had a bad experience here. They told her she had to get 12 blood samples DONE IN THE SAME DAY when she was only 5, which could have killed her. They should honestly give people water or juice just incase, instead of making people immediately walk out like nothing happened. I suggest not to go here and get your blood tests somewhere else and do your research. Plus results take forever. If you did take the time to read this, I hope you have a good day/night and to stay safe out there. <3.Version: 3.12

Not happy with the appNot happy with the app and the service. I have been addressing the issue for more than a year now, to be exact still nothing has changed. I still cannot view my result. I contacted them through the app, as they said, and still no response, not even a single one. I even talk to my doctor and he told me that it should be available cause I know he and my primary is always in contact about my condition. I would talk to Qwest and all their response is the information is not matching. Well, same info that they have since 2019 until late 2020 I started not able to view the result. The only thing I can do online views the past result except for the last result on October 26,’2022 which is stated on their website result can be viewed on October 30, 2022. Again, I also contact them through the apt now response. The only thing I can do to their app is making an appointment. What's the point when no one is listening?.Version: 3.9

Pretty goodYou can schedule appointments, find locations, and get test results. Very handy when traveling. However it makes you enter your health insurance information every time. This takes time if you have secondary or tertiary insurance. It also won’t save your preferred Quest location. It will always go to the nearest to you. Great if you are traveling or your location is the one nearest to you, not if your choice is located elsewhere. If you sign in it will keep your information when it backs-out to make appointments, but will lose the location you had chosen after you signed in. Needs a lot of work. Update: Some of the locations have scanners for your insurance cards, some don’t. My experience is the scanned information isn’t made available to the person needing to check your insurance, so they have to enter it. There are no scanners in that person’s drawing room, so it’s manual. It would be nice to be able to scan your insurance cards on your phone when the app asks for your insurance information. They need to invest more money towards IT..Version: 3.17

ResultsIt would be great if the results were loaded automatically and you didn’t have to make a request to be able to see your results. The appointment scheduler and entry of insurance information either does not work or the collectors at the PSC offices are not trained on how to access the information. I am a Quest employee with lab services as a benefit and my doctors office was billed repeated for my labs when I provided my insurance card and employee number at the time of my appointment and blood draw. Then after my doctors office called and I called three different numbers I hope that Cheryl got everything taken care of for me. I feel sorry for patients that don’t know who or where to turn when issues arise. This is all to difficult even as an employee and even more embarrassing as a patient/employee. Things need to improve for the general public and especially for the older age group of patients..Version: 2.18

Could be betterThe app does everything it claims to do. I get notified when my lab results are available. If I can't find the results and submit the issue through the app, the results are usually available in a day or two. What is frustrating about the app is that the app requires separate steps to sign in. This is an app on my phone and it opens without signing me into MyQuest. So if i make an appointment without going through the steps to sign in I have to enter all of my information during the appointment scheduling process. The app does not remember my information, nor for it allow auto-filling. It as nearly 10 minutes to the appointment scheduling process. More of I have to look something up like my insurance group number. I understand why some features don't require a sign in, but again this is an app on my personal cell phone. Just sign me in. At a minimum ask me to sign in for processes that are simpler with a sign in. I think it asks me to sign in of I check results. Do the same for appointment scheduling..Version: 3.12

Frustrating processThe app is glacially slow. I have a specific blood draw every 6 months so this is not my first rodeo. I used to just walk in the Quest location near Novato Community Hospital but it closed recently. Now I use the web site or app to schedule a visit. Tonight, I tried to schedule an appointment using the app and it took forever, getting hung up and freezing on certain screens. Then, when I am finally offered times and locations for appointments, the options were VERY limited. When I got to the end, finally having scheduled my blood draw, Quest didn’t have any of my data saved to my account. I had to re-enter all of my information including my insurance details. Took me fifteen plus minutes to schedule a standard antibody test using the app, that will probably take less than 3 minutes. Bummer experience..Version: 3.10

App was better before last updateBefore the last update the app was simple and easy to use. I usually got my results the next day and should my doctor not receive my results (which happened often) I could fax or email him the results right from the app. NOT ANY MORE. While this app is more attractive, that, and the ability to make appointments directly from the app are the only two things I like about it. Now it takes 2 or more days to get lab results posted, I can no longer fax my results to my doctor should he not receive them, and while there is a print option I have yet to get any of my results to print. I just get a white screen if I try to print the simple results and get bounced back to the results page for the color and/or advanced options. Why would I want an app taking up space on my devices when I can just log in to the website? I can’t send a fax, but at least it will let me print my results so I can fax them to my doctor..Version: 3.02

Test resultsThank you for your test report, only disappointment to express is the time it takes to receive results, this puts the Doctor behind and causes possible health issues which could have been under treatment sooner that could possibly have saved damage or suffering do to no answers of which if received sooner would allow the Doctor to assign a treatment that could reduce pain or growth of damage. It does not always end this way but it is the time where it does that is when the patient will have fear and disturbance as to WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG AND I AM NOT GETTER. Please help the patient revive the necessary care and treatment without hearing that the ANT CAUSED MY HEALTH IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT. Thank you for the opportunity that is only available for the correct system is the need to stay in touch with all the people within the group which will make for a Mutch better group and coomumication.Version: 3.12

Love the company and website, hate the app.I normally do not write reviews but when it’s not a single issue and it’s important, I feel I should address it. My experience with quest has always been amazing, the employees, delivery of service, you name it, although this time I decided to try out the app in order to get my results easier. Since I’ve created an account, it’s only shown that it’s pointless to even do it. There’s an agreement with an optional ssn to accept and it has a bug where it doesn’t go through. Due to this issue it doesn’t allow me to see my results. So I did what anybody would do and went to help and support to send a message. I filled all the info out and at the end the message I wrote couldn’t be sent… The send button seems to not work as well. Overall a bad experience when you can’t even get someone to help. Hope I can bring awareness to these issues so no one else has it..Version: 3.4
