✓ So glitchy!Items upload to the app’s single items area, then I have to save it to a board waiting both times for the app to just glitch & never finish uploading!! Close it & the whole process restarts... IF you managed to get it to the board in the first place. Otherwise you have to go and redo it all over again from the start! Often when I leave the app to go back to my email there is an error message when I try again if I haven’t closed the app when it fails! Plus, it’s utterly disappointing the same developers have a website that doesn’t talk in any way shape or form to this app!! ✓ Overly SimplisticThe app is very minimal and nice looking. The issue is that in many aspects this app is form over function. When you start looking deeper into the app you realize that there is a lot left to be desired. There is no way to organize or sort the boards you create. There is no search functionality built in. So if you have tens of hundreds of boards, good luck finding the one you want. You have to understand the simplistic nature of the app and the limitations that it brings. Hopefully future software updates can add more utility to this app. Would love to rate it higher!.Version: 3.3.0
✓ Confusing appI highly suggest not to mislead users by using the wetransfer logo, and keyword search, when it has none of the wetransfer functions, I personally use wetransfer plus, but I can’t share anything from my phone. That’s fine, but the logo of this app mislead me to think the website and app are the same thing, why isn’t it? ✓ This app ruins the simplicity of wetransferI really love wetransfer in the browser because it is super simple and artistic. When someone receives a wetransfer link, even if they haven’t used it before, even my grandma, they know exactly what to do with it. But on the phone all of a sudden you have to navigate this Pinterest like app with multiple steps to simply save things on device. I agree with the other reviews here, I don’t really need or want this extra functionality. Maybe it was added so the app is easier to monetize. I’m sure Collect has its uses for other people, but when it’s bundled together with wetransfer it feels forced down our throats. Maybe it could be split into separate apps. ✓ ResentfulI hate leaving reviews because it's a waste of time, but my frustration gets the better of me. I sincerely resent the fact that this app puts up countless road blocks to simply downloading the files I've received via wetransfer. I've read prior criticism of the app's complete deviation from wetransfer's purpose and simplicity. And I see not much feedback has been taken to heart. I want to download a video...I want to download a photo. I don't want to create a board, or copy to a photo which isn't my photo library but instead some kind of new folder or...I don't even know! ✓ Lost photosWas a great idea when I first downloaded. Was easy to use and keep photos from travels over seas. The iPhone that I was using at the time ended up switching off and has never turned back on. Through a lot of backwards and forwards emails it turns out that all photos are lost. Account is still active and am able to log on but all the photos and boards have disappeared. I am stunned the company can not some how recover the photos and re upload them to my account. Quite a shame as I just re read on their website “ Save stuff from across your apps”. I hope the company is able to look into this issue and hopefully help others in the future because I don’t understand what the point is of having an account and using it when it is not able to be used on different platforms..Version: 5.0.0

✓ NIGHTMARE-FIX THE SERIOUS GLITCHYour website is usually great-this App, however, is GARBAGE!! It has CONSTANT glitches, freezes while “uploading” anything, and will glitch every time when trying to create a new “Board” or add a new “video”-and will revert back to only recognizing the last video you uploaded.... as well as only sending/sharing the previous video, regardless of “successfully” uploading new content, etc. Oh, and the new “feature” of adding/creating “Boards” is absolutely useless and pointless-especially since A. You can’t, because it doesn’t work correctly. And B. Due to A, “sharing” is impossible... you’re not Pinterest, you don’t need to be Pinterest, so stop copying “Boards” functionality like Pinterest. Stick to being a TRANSFER site/App, and maybe try getting THAT right first! Because at the moment, you can’t even do that. ✓ GarbageYour website has always been extremely user-friendly and efficient. However, this app is absolutely useless. It freezes and glitches constantly making it impossible to send anything using your “boards” feature. Every time I open the app it says my boards are “updating”. It will be at 4%, will crawl along and get to 33% after about 45 minutes, then just freeze. I’ll close the app and open it again. Then it will have gone back to 2%. Absolutely useless app. All wetransfer needs to do is allow it’s users to send files. Why are you bothering with these “boards”. They don’t work. Simple as that. ✓ Good idea but.....It’s a great idea. But every large file I have had sent to me simply stalls part way through the download and stops. I had a 1.6 GB file that worked for about an hour downloading before it stopped at about 2/3rds and consequently the file couldn’t be opened. ✓ We Transfer or Won’t Transfer?I’ve used the desktop version multiple times and have had no issues. With this app that seems to be doing more of a job replicating Pinterest, I can’t even get my video files to go past 70%. If I even do much as go to my texts or open another app the progress starts completely over. Most of the time it’s stuck at an even 50% and takes up to 10 minutes to gain a couple percent of progress. Please find a fix for this soon. You’re a great uploading service, so I would hate to see your reputation ruined on the iOS platform..Version: 2.6.2

✓ ReviewI have the WeTransfer Pro Account and the Collect app has a major bug with resetting passwords. When requesting to reset the password the email link never showed up in my gmail account. I had to reach out to their technical support team and they are not helpful at all. After a series of back and forth emails I was informed that I had to fill out a detailed report showing them screenshots of the steps I took when trying to reset my password. I finally got the same person and he sent me a reset link manually and stated “when their emails are rejected by a mail server, their mail server puts the user’s email on a bounce list.” And this is why I do not see a reset link from We Transfer. When I finally reset my password, with the link that was manually sent to me, I lost all my media on their boards. I sent the representative in tech support an email, if I cannot get my media files back, I want a refund. Another issue not able to sync my WeTransfer account with the Collect app on my laptop with my iPhone and am not sure if WeTransfer can operate on OS and Windows operating systems at the same time. This app is not worth purchasing. It’s better to use their free account..Version: 4.4.4
✓ Needs a native ipad app bare minimumI really wanted to like this app. Ive been searching for a place to put things I want to remember for years, and none of them have stuck. I really like the ui and feel of the app , unfortunately Collect has no native ipad app so you are forced to use it in portrait and hit the zoom button. (i only use my ipad in landscape so this is very frustrating.) Also unless I’ve missed it there is no kind of account syncing so the collect app on my iPhone, and the one on my ipad are essentially two different brains until i text myself a link to join an individual board. This works perfectly if I’m sharing something with a team member or my wife but I’d really like just one place to put stuff and keep track of it on all my devices. I already have a paper account that keeps all my journals in sync why not just make it universal? This doesn’t have anything to do with the app but i dont see how adding by we transfer to the name is necessary. As a normal person who has only heard of we transfer advertised on a podcast or two it doesn’t really add anything to the experience. Ill keep this on my devices for now with the hopes that we transfer continues development on this app. But I’ll just keep throwing junk i need to keep track of in notes for now..Version: 3.0.4

There isn’t a menu option that says download to board and keep so despite your best efforts after 7 days the board content just disappears. It never uploads all the way and we can never tell what is missing or what got uploaded. ✓ Unstable And InfuriatingInitially, this app worked well - simple and straightforward to use. I had built up over 50 boards of product shots I was sharing with my customers. But gradually glitches would appear. Customers said they couldn’t see updates to the board and I realised the images weren’t syncing. Then it would just simply crash or the transfer to specific boards on upload wouldn’t work. Then the whole thing froze in “Optimising Storage” mode ... for over a week. I received a reply from support telling me a fix will be issued in a future update. This is infuriating as I have zero access to my boards indefinitely. I would often go in to look at photos that I had stored here, however recently, when I clicked on the app it asked me to log in. So I made several attempts using all my email addresses. Nothing. So I emailed their support staff. I think they tried to assist however they found no history of me. They said their servers were scrubbed of my photos. ✓ Disappearing DownloadsMany WAV music files I have sent to and saved on this app have mysteriously disappeared. While the boards and titles I’ve made are still there, the files have been deleted. At one point in time the files played back just fine. I have redownloaded several of these files again. When I immediately tested them after downloading to make sure they were there, they played back just fine. A few days later, I tried to play the files back and they’re gone again. The laborious and time-consuming process of transferring files multiple times has been a rather frustrating waste of time. Quite the opposite of what this app tries to solve. ✓ Can’t Rename Links, So App Is MeaninglessI needed an app where I could save and organize links that I come across on the web, like those Tiktok videos that have useful links and resources that you want to save for later! I downloaded the app and tried it out only to realize that when I added a Tiktok or Instagram Reel link to a board, the title would take the name of the link and not allow you to rename it to something more meaningful! ✓ Bad for storageI had one download on the app. It randomly deleted two boards of pictures. The only pictures that I could still access were the ones I had not sorted onto different boards. I could see the pictures but they wouldn’t download. I reached out to them for support and the next day when I got a response the pictures were gone. The boards were gone. I can assure you I didn’t do this as I was very anxious to be able to download the photos. The photos from the original download that I hadn’t sorted onto separate boards are still there and work fine. They don’t know why it happened and can’t help. ✓ This App is UselessAll I wanted from the WeTransfer App was to be able to send files, as you do via the website, but from your phone. I was hoping for convenience & ease of use. ✓ Promising, but not yet ready for the massesCollect is an interesting idea that has potential but is currently stuck in the awkward phase of trying to retrofit a user to the tech. Is this a privacy friendly Pinterest? Not really. There’s no option to annotate or interact with any of your content files. Anyone you add to a board has edit privileges, so this isn’t a social tool. Is this Dropbox? Not really. There’s no real collaboration tools, only universal edit privileges and you can only access it from mobile. Is this Evernote? Nope. Nowhere near as powerful. ✓ Really Wanted to Like This But......the shiny, cool images in the description are not what you see in reality. I just saved 3 news clippings, then opened the app. What did I see? 3 lonely post-it notes looking like they were from the 1980s floating in blank space — and titles that look like the long, tedious passwords we’re all supposed to use, but never do. ✓ Not A Good First ImpressionYesterday was my first time using this app. I needed to send a number of files - both photos and videos - to a client. The client requested that I use WeTransfer. All my files were on my iPhone, this app is where I was directed to WeTransfer from my phone (Due to my profession I send and receive photo files all the time so I am well acquainted with using WeTransfer service on a computer. This was a first trying to do it from my phone). I started trying to send at 7pm, the files were due by 9pm. I did not make the deadline. App kept having errors and freezing intermittently. App also lost the carefully curated order that I had the files in. So I tried to make image notes but I only made a few because that process was also too slow and too cumbersome. I thought that was the point of the Boards was to be able to put things in order like a moodboard? Not only did it not preserve the order in which the files were uploaded there was no fast and easy way to put the files in the order in which I wanted. Nothing was fast nothing was easy. You really make a leap of faith when you go from downloading files onto a board, and then show a finished product. When I download files onto a board all I see on the board is a series of icons and their titles. There isn’t even a way of ordering those icons; that is of moving them around so they appear in a different order. I have been wrestling with your app for two days and I’m not sure it’s worth it. You need to explain a little bit more thoroughly about the longevity of the boards. Do you end up deleting anything when boards are not visited? I could save the songs somehow to my library or find some other workaround but this is not EASY to do from the app. Make it more useful and user-friendly and you’ll have more people paying for Plus. ✓ So many glitches, such a shameWe love collect, we’ve been using it for many years. However after all this time it still is glitchy and faulty. I don’t understand why We Transfer can’t get it together as this could be such a hit app! There is so much that could be done to improve this wonderful application. Every 6 months myself and my team must completely deinstall and reinstall the app, as it completely breaks down. And we are locked out. The app is super slow, glitchy and sometimes doesn’t download we transfer files. Images can’t be reordered within the folder. Folders can’t be ordered by date and they auto change their order constantly. Which is super frustrating. Sharing access can’t be revoked once given out. Meaning ex-colleagues can still access folders. We are very concerned about the safety of our files. If we don’t use a back up. We have been put off joining Collect Pro due to all the above issues. Hope We Transfer finally invests in sorting out all these issues. It’s been happening for literally years! And I can see I'm not alone in flagging this. ✓ Terrible download speed when I worksTrying to share items with a friend and the only value this app brings is frustration and anger. Most of the time when I click on a file to download it immediately responds with “Download failed. Try again”. No further info. Repeat repeat repeat does not work. Try different network try vpn try cellular try different device ... nothing. On the RARE occasion download starts it ends up being slower that old school dialup. And there is no guarantee it will complete before stalling without notice. It is frustrating, aggregating and impossible to use..Version: 3.4.2
✓ My wedding pictures disappeared suddenlyI have been using this app for years. Recently I upgraded to a pro account only to come on the app and all my pictures and memories are gone. The saddest part is I saved my wedding pictures here too and they’ve just disappeared no traces. I messaged support and was told they’ll respond in 48 hours I haven’t heard anything back, the absolute worst! Don’t bother storing anything that’s really valuable to you here..Version: 6.2.3
✓ Not the same as the Web site!!!!!I use the web site all the time to transfer large files and was hoping that the app would allow me to do the same straight from my iPhone. Unfortunately this app doesn’t have a file transfer option, it works instead tries to jump on the social media band waggon by creating “boards” to share multiple different content. It’s disappointing to see that an opportunity to create a good Funchal app has been missed but not it’s not surprising it just seams that developers are more interested in showing what they can do instead how well they can do what the users want..Version: 2.4.0
✓ ReviewNot a 100% happy. I preferred previous version. It was way faster. It’s a good future those boards for organising but I have the feeling they slow down the process. It only starts updating when it’s shared. The person with who you share it gets the email with the link with only half the files or less because the sharers side is not updated yet. I loved this app before. Now it is frustrating me..Version: 2.4.0
