✓ The latest release doesn’t work! Fixed but…Used to love this app, just opened it and it asked me to update it. I did the update, restarted my phone, opened it again and anything you touch on the screen causes the app to shut down! Any way to get the previous version back? Thanks for the fix, and I notice a couple of minor problems have been addressed. I’d give 5 stars, but this is not the first time this has happened after an update. ✓ This app has come a long way and it’s all good!This app has now become my favorite way to navigate from the southern part of The Villages to all parts north. The developers are doing a great job at answering your questions or concerns and making those changes happen quickly. ✓ A must haveThis is probably the most used app I have on my phone. It works great. I read some of the negative reviews and must say I have had no issues at all. Sound works great, directions a great. I saw some comments about advertising. If there is advertising, I am oblivious to it. I don’t remember seeing any intrusive advertising. Finally, the developers are so easy to contact for any issues. Again, I find this app invaluable..Version: 23
✓ Lifesaver in the days of covidI bought my house in March but couldn’t get here until June, by then Florida had become one of the biggest hot spots for covid. Neighbors were welcoming and friendly but could not show me around in the golf cart. So I made daily exploration trips in the golf cart and found so many amazing shortcuts thanks to the app! It’s been an adventure every day. I could find these places in my car but golf carts are a big part of the fun in TV and the app makes it so easy. One suggestion, the Country Club pools are marked FP for Family Pool, they should be PP for Premier Pool as only Premier members are allowed. ✓ The Perfect App for The VillagesRegardless if you are a Villages resident or guest, this app is essential for navigating or locating points of interest. If you are going by car or golf cart you will get directions to hundreds of places, restaurants, recreation centers, golf, practice facilities, shopping, town squares snd so much more. I simply cannot imagine getting around the Villages on the extensive cart path network of bridges and tunnels without it. ✓ Great App !!The best navigation tool available for very little money ! It has voice turn by turn directions which I have found to be very accurate. The app itself is very intuitive. A special feature I really like and use often is called “Point to Point”. It allows you to compare time and distance to a point of interest. You can then compare that data from a separate second location. This app is extremely useful for someone just moving to The Villages. I would highly recommend it !.Version: 23.33

✓ Love this appI like listening to my music through my phone. And at the same time I want to know where I’m going. This village app allows me the beauty of both. When the app is speaking of directions my music doesn’t come through. Then when the app is done speaking of a direction the music comes back on automatically. ✓ VILLAGES GPS APP THE BEST WAY TO NAVIGATE THE VILLAGEDI have used this app exclusively for years because it has voice directions and always gets me to my destination. But yesterday the audio didn’t work. I emailed the staff and they responded IMMEDIATELY with help. But nothing solved the issue though they emailed me more than once with advice right away. Then they suggested I delete the app and install it again from the App Store. Now it works perfectly again. The staff’s quick help enabled me to get to the golf course on time using the voice directions. Kudos to a very responsive staff..Version: 23
✓ Great APP for all VillagersRecently I had a location-based problem. The Team diagnosed it very patiently and were very helpful in solving the problem. I am an experienced IT person and could not figure this out on my own on my iPhone. It turns out it was an Apple-related issue that the Team helped me to fix. ✓ A must haveUsing this app opened up a whole new world for us. We visit family in the villages every year or two and love using the cart paths to get around,but never felt comfortable “cruising” until this year. With the help of the app we were able to navigate the bridges, tunnels,check out several pools and jump from square to square for dinner and dancing all by cart. ✓ Fantastic tech supportAfter purchasing and downloading this app, I didn’t understand how to share it with my husband. I emailed the support team in the evening and had the solution in my inbox the next morning. Wow! The app does a wonderful job helping us newbies navigate to and from Villages amenities with voice directions and route maps. The point-to-point guidance (for example one home to another) provides maps of the routes without voice. This app is essential on the somewhat confusing golf car maze..Version: 23.27

✓ Essential to Village newbiesThis is a great app for getting around The Villages cart paths. It’s well laid out and love they listed neighborhoods. It was up to date with most of the newer neighborhoods. A couple little kinks though….. It didn’t show some of the local grocery stores, it sometimes lagged when typing, and it has ads - ugh! But those issues are so minor compared to the value of everything else the app provides..Version: 23.13
✓ Deceptive Google ads insideThe gps navigation works fairly well, but occasionally loses track of my location. A Google ad consistently appears on the navigation page directly below the START button. The ad often has its own start button which I have clicked by mistake. This is a deceptive practice in my opinion. This app cost far more than the average price of the App Store. It should not contain ads at all..Version: 23.19
✓ Like having a personal guiding star.This a very intuitive and user friendly app. I have spent a lifetime living in a city that is a simple grid layout and without GPS traveling to new places can be confusing. And that is just using roadways now there is a major network of beautiful golf cart paths to explore. Entering an address is simple and using the preloaded destinations for shopping, country clubs, golf courses town squares are just a few screen touch away. As a new full time Villages villa owner this GPS makes me feel “at home”. I travel this paradise with confidence. A trip by cart or car to a Town Square, a Rec Center, a golf course or a shopping run is a breeze. I have seen some great scenery, nature and wildlife. ✓ Great appJust try getting around without it, until learn. A lot of trial and ERROR or the app. Everything has glitches once in a while , but when I have found one, report it and it gets fixed. Some take longer than others, patience is a virtue. As fast as the villages build roads it is amazing they are as close as they are. ✓ Villages GPSI purchased the app several years ago. When we were first visiting The Villages it was very convenient. We purchased a home in The Villages but rent it most of the year. When we do come down I use it especially going down to the new areas and going toward Spanish springs. Also good when meeting friends in places I am not familiar with. I had questions about the app on several occasions and they are very quick to answer any questions or concerns. In my opinion very much worth having..Version: 23.31
✓ Great App for golf cart driving in The Villages!I had been using the previous version of the app on my iPhone (iPhone 11), which wasn’t geared toward iphones. It kept crashing. I finally got around to contacting the people at “Villages GPS” by email and they responded within a matter of minutes. There were a few emails back and forth during which it was explained to me that I needed the new version of the app which does work on iPhones. I downloaded the new version, tested it out over the past few days, and am very happy with it. I highly recommend it! I think the people who have left bad reviews probably are using an older version of the app..Version: 23
✓ Great app and super supportThis is a great app to use when trying to get around the villages by golf cart. Like others have said however I would like for the music to automatically be lowered and then resume playing once the voice direction commands have been given. Other than that I can’t complain about the app at all! Support is superior. I had issues with getting the app to open after the update and I was in constant email with the support team who were quickly able to get the problem fixed so that the app started working again. ✓ Villages GPS worth Every PennyUsed a paper map my 1st week in The Villages and got lost constantly. This GPS system takes me everywhere by car or cart path routes and a voice tells me when to turn with plenty of notice. If you may as a turn it reroutes you automatically.Version: 23.18

✓ Not greatThis app is very buggy and sometimes doesn’t find the obvious things like golf courses within the Villages. Search for the boat launch on lake Miona and you’ll wind up in a neighborhood instead about 100 yards away but 2 miles to get to by cart or car. It’s better than nothing but not by much. Update- the app is more reliable now (for me) and works well. I have also found if it doesn’t load up right away I need to close the other apps first. ✓ Relief from navigation anxiety!Straight to the point and easy to use. Excellent display especially if destination is pre-loaded (ie pools, shopping etc) We had a problem with initial download in that it would not start when prompted. The creators did their best to let the user know what routes are golf cart legal and which aren’t. The free app is much better because it is more up to date for finding addresses and business and it does not lock up. Upgrade to 4 stars. ✓ Highly recommendedEssential excellent app for anyone in the villages using a golf cart. I’d tried Apple maps, Google maps in bicycle mode and the villages app but found them essentially useless for golf cart travel. This is the only one I’m aware of that knows the golf cart paths and streets carts are allowed on AND gives spoken directions. Without villages gps I would have a very frustrating hard getting around by cart. Very good value as the developers only charge once. Frankly, I’d be willing to pay a monthly or yearly subscription if I had to, rather then give up the convenience of this app, as I use my cart quite a lot. I’d get hopelessly lost without it. I highly recommend it. I had a question and I emailed support at 5:00 AM Sunday morning and got a reply by 8:00 AM the same Sunday morning. Rare to have such quick service these days, better then I get with apps I pay lots more for. I highly recommend it..Version: 23
