✓ Terrible interface/accessibilityGreat concept and idea for the app. But, they couldn’t make a worse platform and interface if they tried. Honestly is a shame, because the data they have is awesome. Not writing this review to bash the app, but hope to get the developers attention. I have hunted my entire life. Am 25 years old and consider myself tech savy in a way that I can figure out most stuff regarding technical and electrical components. But, once I got into the app, I was so confused for 10-15 minutes as to where the hell the stuff I was looking for was. How hard is it to set up where pinpoints, different maps, a freaking common and simple search bar, etc. are? Really do not intend to bash the app, but OnX is so insanely far ahead and they wouldn’t be if y’all would simply spend the money and take the time to make an easier interface and platform bc the one y’all have now is just sorry..Version: 5.5
✓ Bad appI am really frustrated After being forced to migrate from Scoutlook- a much better app- my data was not all migrated. Received an email saying they found my missing data and it would appear after syncing. Nope. Still missing. I really do t want to set up my blinds again from scratch. This app is not nearly as intuitive as Scoutlook. Still trying to figure out how to see scent cone for different times of day. And the scent cone for this app is terrible. Why do I need to see bothering the direction my scent is blowing and the direction it isn’t? Showing the entire circle just takes up space. Also, why would you put a wind speed chart below the map and not include wind direction?! Seriously?? If I wanted to plan my hunt by looking at a weather app and figuring out scent cone myself at various times of the day whil looking at a map without markers, I would not have gotten a hunting app to begin with. I want Scoutlook back!!!.Version: 5.0.3

✓ Please unpurchase scoutlookThis app has one of the worst user interfaces I’ve used in a long time. The amount of information needed to run this app will take you all day and once you find the time to get it where you want it they cut the free trial off. It’s almost as if it’s is run by a handful of evil vegans. Now I understand why you bought out scoutlook it was a great program with one of the best user friendly interfaces that was giving away a lot of good free data but come on right before the hunting seasons start you perform the takeover that’s extremely low. Your transfer of data was absolutely horrible none of the spots I had saved over the past decade are accessible and the only info that was actually available were past logs of harvests which I stopped inputting because all it’s really providing you is a giant data harvest of the best areas throughout the hunting communities. I wish scoutlook had thought about the rest of us before selling out to corporate America. I truly wish I had the time to learn your app more before the season so I might have had time to find something good about it but seeing as how you killed the only app worth a dam I’m now have no time to spend on it. ✓ Useless in CanadaBe aware, not much good in Canada. I put a lot of work in the bush marking over 100km of trails and over 50 tree stands. Got my map all ready to be printed only to find out they don’t ship printed maps to Canada. What’s the point of selling this app in Canada? No property lines, can’t ship maps. ✓ 👎Terrible app if you’re trying to use it in Canada. Paid for the pro to see public land access only to find out they don’t cater to Canadians try to map it out myself and the mapping tools are terrible, waste of money better off using the provincial map for free ..Version: 7.5.4
✓ Used to be betterI swore by this app for the past two years, but something happened with the last update. When I am out scouting, even though I have a detailed map displayed, and I am not zooming in or out, the app constantly crashes and tries to restart. The problem is that I am in a poor signal area, which was never an issue until this year. It’s like the app just drops, and when it restarts (if it does), instead of using the data in memory, it tries to reload the map, which usually never append. Not a good experience when you are trying to use the map to mark trails and waypoints. I’m trying those other guys to see if their app allows me to X mark my waypoints without the constant crashes..Version: 7.3.7
✓ ‘New’ upgraded version is total JUNK!!I have used this app for the past couple seasons to check my stand locations and the wind direction for each stand. It was very simple to use for someone who isn’t super tech savvy like myself. Well let me tell you....I just got on and they ‘upgraded’ to a newer version that you have to have a degree in rocket science to even begin to understand!!! Like I said, I’m a simple guy. I just need the basics. There are so many super useless ‘features’ and buttons on the new app that I was completely lost just trying to make it through the tutorial at the beginning. Not to mention, it automatically set the one and only property I was trying to get set up on the app to ‘public’ for others to see when searching. Uhhh no thanks. Deleted immediately from my phone. Would give negative stars if possible. BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION FOR US SIMPLE FOLK!!!!!!!.Version: 5.0.2
✓ HuntStand is terrible; a downgrade from the old ScoutLookFirst off, I’ve never written an online review of anything, but I felt compelled to write this since HuntStand is so bad. I had previously used the ScoutLook App, they merged with HuntStand, and I couldn’t be more disappointed. This app is clunky. It contains lots of potentially useful functions, but they don’t work together in a seamless fashion. It essentially feels like you are switching between different apps while ScoutLook felt like one seamless unit full of useful functions/information. I also feel as though some items just don’t even work properly. For example, if I am looking at a location I want to examine (even if it is where my current location is being pinged) and I hit the scentcone/windcone icon, it takes me away from my desired location to some default location (that isn’t even close to anywhere that I ever go or have gone). I will be on the lookout for a different app; I couldn’t be any more disappointed by this merger. I hope the people from ScoutLook made some good money with the merge because they ruined a wonderfully valuable and easy to use app..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Good app, needs lots of work.I like this app, I use it a lot. However, my main issue is that if my phone times out, or I switch to any other app on my phone (without closing the HuntStand app)and then come back I have to completely start over finding my location again as I am now staring at the entire SE USA. Every time!!! Even if I just look at text messages. This alone is guaranteeing I do not purchase a 2nd year of the “pro” version. A second issue I have is checking wind direction/scent cone; when selected it takes me away from where I was looking to a default location. Third issue is if zoomed out your location is hidden by any markers you may have made. 4th issue is please add hog related sign to the icons that can be placed on the map. ScoutLook was a much better, more intuitive application and I wish it was still available..Version: 5.3.9

✓ Not worth itIt definitely has some valuable features but land information is extremely limited in Canada. The boundaries are there but no land use or owner information available. It’s only $40 but the same information and more can be found for free on this and other apps. No advantage to upgrading to pro in Canada. Perhaps it works better in the USA?.Version: 6.3.3
✓ Needs more coverageThe app looks great and has a good interface. But it lacks coverage of Canada. I’m not gonna give it a one star, but in todays world more international coverage is an expectation. I hope they fix this in the future..Version: 6.2.1
✓ Hunt standUp untill this past summer hunt stand provide property lines and owner information in Ontario Canada . For whatever reason the app stopped providing info and asked you to sign in and pay. After paying I find out that there is no longer anymore information available that what you see for free. Total scam in my mind. I’ve contacted HuntStand and absolutely no help and seems they are trying to make it difficult to get a refund.Version: 5.4.1

✓ Not for CanadiansYou’d think with the amount of Americans that come up to hunt trophy bucks and bull moose here in Canada, the app would be better! Looks great on paper, but it’s garbage in Canada. Hopefully they change that in the near future..Version: 7.3.7
