✓ Excellent App for Phonetics and Speech-Language!!First off-- This is a PHONETICS app. It's intended for the study of sound production-- it would best benefit linguists and linguistic students of English, speech-language pathologists, speech therapists, and others who work with speech sounds. This is by far the best app I've been given for the study of speech production-- it is amazingly visual, clear, colorful, and has just the right amount of details. This app takes all the invisible movements of the tongue, lips, and teeth producing speech sounds and makes it visual. You can see every movement, placement, and variation. This app is one of the tools I use to teach. I love this app enough to ask for a world-languages version..Awesomeness 1DVersion: 1.6.5

✓ ALL THE CONTENT IS THERE, EVERYONEThe 1-star reviews say that this app only has a list of linguistic definitions. However, those lists are only how the sounds are organized. To get to a sound's page (like you see in the screenshots), just tap on the definition (i.e. "Fricative" or "monopthong") and then you can select a specific sound from the bottom of the screen. This takes you to that sound's page with its description and videos, etc. So all the content is available like it is on the website! ✓ Good app for SLP'sAt first I didn't think it was working. The first page is a list of definitions. But when you click on them you get to the videos. I mainly purchased for help in teaching correct /r/ production. But wish there was a better way to see the tongue contact with the teeth.
