BabySparks - Development App for Negative User Reviews

Used for only a few hours so far so goodHappy with it so far , would like more data and a way to capture the activity and file in the app as a reference and learning journal . However much better that other apps I tried ..Version: 4.1.6

BE AWARE BUYERSBe aware that while just downloading the app for trial of one month free I got charged yearly subscription fee. So annoyed. Don’t find the app any extra ordinary. I found my self doing the activities with my first born without even this app suggesting one. Comes naturally. Or just google it. Why waste money here. I want my money refunded and cancel further subscription. 😬.Version: 2.2.34

Incorrect options for in-app purchasesGood app but the prices for in-app purchases is incorrect. There is only the subscription options, not the one off which was why I bought it. UPDATE In the In-app purchases description on the App Store there is an option for a one off payment for 0-12 months of £7.99. This is not available in the app itself, only subscription options which work out more expensive. I looked all through the app to try to find the one off payment option with no luck..Version: 2.1.5

Not individualised at allThe activities are good and there’s a decent range however they don’t tailor it to suit your child’s skill level but instead base it on what an average baby of that age can do - which means a lot of the activities just weren’t appropriate for my baby and instead made me feel a bit rubbish!! They ask for details on what milestones baby has hit - so I don’t understand why they can’t than use this info to give you appropriate activities 🤷🏼‍♀️.Version: 4.6.18

Classes not included in membershipWould have purchased if some classes were included in membership like other apps..Version: 4.6.41

Concept is greatJust paid for the annual premium subscription but the app keeps glitching and crashing. I hope this is fixed. Otherwise I love having things to do each day with my newborn..Version: 4.1.0

Great potential BUTThis app constantly crashes. So much potential but I won’t be renewing my subscription because of this..Version: 4.7.11

Purchased Subscription but didn’t work. No help from customer service.Really disappointed with the customer service. Used this app with my first child, reinstated subscription with my second child and it hasn’t worked. It’s been almost 2 weeks since my original request and I’ve had one email from them asking for further info, of which I have provided, and now nothing and no response to any of my follow ups. So far I’ve wasted half of my first month subscription. Will try Kinedu instead..Version: 4.6.4

Nice in theoryIt’s a great concept. The exercises are good, and it was nice to have something to follow along with at the beginning when newborns aren’t really doing much of anything. It disappoints when actual development begins, which is when this would be most helpful. It really doesn’t take into consideration that all babies develop at different rates. For example, there’s a type of crawling that the milestone lives under 6 months, but states that it may happen between 6-8 months. For our daughter she hit this at 8 months, but her crawling exercises and milestones are far surpassing what her actual abilities are (which are not delayed). It would be nice if the lists were not static, so that when I check off that milestone at 8 months those next milestones fall into place at the correct time. It’s a bit disheartening feeling like your child is “behind” when that is not true. Now I have to go back two months to check off the appropriate milestones, but honestly, my efforts are better used by just engaging and playing with her!.Version: 4.1.31

Best tried on a monthly basisThis app is pulling on the heartstrings of new parents and is not insightful enough to justify the 1 year subscription. There are many common sense things you would do anyway such as “allow baby to touch your face and say I am mommy”, “do tummy time”, or “go outside where there are lots of people”. We had a problem initially where the activities weren’t updating and were the same at 5 months as at 1 month but the developer quickly responded to my review and suggested I delete and reinstall the app which corrected the issue. Still, it took me 5 months into my 1 year subscription to notice because I just wasn’t turning to the app regularly since the activities were not very interesting. That being said, I like the way the activities are presented with short videos. If you are going to try this, I recommend going month to month to start..Version: 4.1.6

Fallen out of loveWe used this app regularly 4 years ago with our older child, it was fabulous. Second time round we discovered our fully paid version is now downgraded to a subscription to access the same data. Happy to pay for the “extras” offered but annoyed at a very expensive base price, especially as our second child needs more development help. Feels like we are paying twice for the same materials..Version: 4.6.10

Support Team ignored meCould have been a great app except all my activities were locked upon subscription. Sent tons of email to support team but they went cold turkey on me. Update: Reply to devdloper response - You want me to email you guys after you ignored my emails? No thanks..Version: 4.7.9

Poor support, no responseThe content is great, if only I could unlock all the activities I paid for! I purchased a monthly subscription, as I try before I buy, however for some reason it has not been recognized. I have repeatedly emailed the support, in the contact us section and have not received any response. I currently have paid for an app I can’t use to its fullest and the support center hasn’t given any support. Very unsatisfied customer..Version: 2.2.30

Good tool a a decent price but some caveatsThis is a useful tool to participate in and guide a child through developmental milestones. It also can provide a neutral talking space for inexperienced parents and carers. It is concise and effective. Little of the advice has contradicted my 30+ years experience as a caregiver, parent of 5, educator, and grandmother . That being said, I have paid the annual premium fee up front from the start. The many classes offered often state they are free for premium subscribers, sometimes restated by the provider during the video intro. For me, however, I still am prompted to pay a fee. Leaves a bitter taste if bait and switch or click greed for the app . Too bad. Because it is a solid framework to build daily structure upon..Version: 4.7.25

Prepare to be frustratedThis app is so glitchy that I can’t even get my baby’s photo to stay updated during the initial set up process. Keeps saying “no internet connection” for no reason. No comment on the activities themselves. Hopefully you manage to somehow sign into this..Version: 4.5.16

Want to delete my accApp appeared to have no any useful free features. I wish I knew that before creating an account there. I want to delete my account and personal data from there now, but I can not find how to do it..Version: 4.6.16

Nice activities, poor access to other featuresUnfortunately, although the app provides a good variety of activities, it needs improvement as there are too many issues with accessing classes or articles. It’s been months now since this is going on. This is disappointing as I have purchased the plan for 1 year and was hoping to be able to use it more..Version: 4.6.33

False advertisingDoes not adapt to individual baby needs especially if advanced. My baby crawled at 6m, walked at 8 and I’m getting activities to encourage to stand even when I checked off all the milestones completed up to 12 months! Very disappointed to have paid for this. Great for activities with normal age milestones. Still better than kinedu..Version: 4.6.29

EhDownloaded this and at first I liked that you can go through the milestones your child has gone through. You’re supposed to get a week of some activities free, or a couple of activities free daily for a week, well I got busy and wasn’t able to login and use the app for several days so I wasn’t able to go back to the free days that I was given to see if I liked the app enough to buy the subscription. Kinda pointless of giving the free activities if the app locks them the next day? I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or what but since I missed out on “trying” the app, definitely not going to waste money on a subscription for an app that I can’t even see if I like by trying out the activities. Developers need to fix this so customers can actually experience your app..Version: 4.1.19

Poor app. Poor serviceI downloaded this app and after 3 months I uninstalled it as I was already naturally doing these exercises and more. You can also download BabyCentre which gives you a lot more information about your babies milestones, what exercises to do plus so much more. And it’s free. You don’t have to pay. They renewed my subscription without prompting with an email, which I think is shody and lazy customer service and probably how they get a lot of people to another year..Version: 2.2.37

Pointless unless you upgradeThis is billed as an activity app, and I have two criticisms- firstly the age is quite widely grouped, 0-3 months is quite general and babies change a lot in this time. Other guides can give more details about what to expect in the first few weeks, so this is disappointing. Secondly the suggested activities to do with your child are locked unless you upgrade, making the app largely pointless. Please make the purchase price clear from the start. If anyone is looking for a free app, try a different one!.Version: 2.1.5

Cannot tailor activities based on skill levelCannot tailor activities based on skill level and there is no customer service to address this. I reached out over 2 weeks ago to see what I could do about the activities being related to preparing for skills my baby has mastered the actual skill a month ago. I have not received a response (other than an automated one saying I will get a response usually within 24 hrs) and have also followed up a second time and still no response. The activities for the last month have been related to “preparing to crawl” which my baby already does no problem. I have marked them as too easy and they still keep coming up and I am not getting the next level activities. Disappointed to be paying for something that doesn’t provide relevant activities and I can only go a day ahead..Version: 4.6.33

Needs more settings and customizationThe short animations when you complete/rate an activity and when you are a certain percentage towards being done with activities for the day are all very annoying and unskippable. You are unable to exit out of the activity while the animation is happening. The same type of thing happens when you want to see what an activity is and just want to watch the video before deciding to do it. After clicking on the activity and then go to exit out, a pop up automatically shows up for you to rate the difficulty of the activity. These hindrances would be all fine and well if there was a setting to turn them off BUT there is absolutely no settings menu or customizable options. A simple “turn off animations” and “turn off reminders to rate activities” would be a huge help! Otherwise, the activities are usually day to day type of things that are easy to add to normal play. I like to view the app at the beginning of the day and see how I can work in the activities during our daily routine. It gets a little repetitive sometimes but that’s fixed by having quite a few activities available to pick and choose..Version: 4.7.40

You don’t get much for your money. The daily activities are just repeating, even the ones we said are too easy and theres no way to opt out of some activities like ones eith bottles or pacifiers. I also dont like that even though we paid for the app we still dont get access to any recordings..Version: 4.7.46

Nice app, misleading price plansThe app is decent, with good activity recommendations. However I cannot give a higher rating as the price plans are VERY misleading. The app pricing info clearly states that a $39.99 plan unlocks all premium features, but once you sign up you quickly find out this is not true. There is actually a much more expensive tier in order to unlock all features..Version: 4.7.25

Can barely do anything without payingMy daughter is 7 months old, so she can already sit up and roll. The free version of this app only teaches those two things and asks me to pay for a subscription for EVERYTHING else. I could get the 3 day trial, but that’s not very long for getting an idea of how successful the app is and it will charge me an annual subscription at the end of it. I’m therefore going to delete the app, which is a shame..Version: 4.6.26

Sleeping through the night a milestone??This app has a milestone of sleeping 8-12 hours at 5 months. This is completely biologically inappropriate. So so disappointing that this is considered normal..Version: 4.7.62

It’s ok but rather expensive for what it isSo I’m a first time mum and very much wanted to ensure that I was helping my little one develop during the first years of their life. Seeing this app I thought it would be perfect & after getting a iTunes voucher for my bday I gathered why not. After downloading the app and going through some of the activities I noticed that I was doing most of them without even realising so was a little disappointed.. should note my little is 4 months old. Anyhoo finding some parts useful but all in all it’s rather expensive for what it is. As long as your talking to your baby and generally helping them in their development you don’t really need this app - save your money..Version: 3.0.33

Inaccurate appI purchased this app. However, I found this app as an completely inaccurate application based on baby’s age. In the system, it is displaying my baby age is one month whereas she is about three months. And, in daily exercises, the app wants me to do some exercise which are not appropriate for baby in one month or even two month old. You would harm your baby if you want follow those exercises! Moreover, In each exercise movie, it is showing a baby who can grab things and seat in two month( I was assuming the app is offering the exercises based on my baby age and it is customized service)! I was worry a lot why my baby cannot grab toys in two months age or why my baby cannot do the things that movie baby is doing. However, after study and probing my concern, I realized that this app is wrong and it is not my baby issue. Therefor, do not trust it , and do not perform all the exercises. Otherwise, you will harm your LO with these faulty plays and she would get pain👎👎👎👎.Version: 4.5.16

Paid $40 and got nothingTerrible app. Paid and it never unlocked anything. Tried contacting support, sent them proof of payment, never returned my emails. Don’t waste your money.Version: 4.6.40

Great content, very poor technicallyI’m really struggling with this app, and from the reviews this is pretty consistent... First, the app is not configured for IPhone X and above, so the top bar looks bad and the menu is hard to even activate. In the reviews there are countless issues where the customer service response is to delete and reinstall... That’s a workaround, not a real fix. I’ve deleted and reinstalled twice today, and my babies’ (twins) data all disappeared... I really want to like this (sometimes I do, when it’s working) and I was even going to gift it to my friends for Xmas, but now I feel like I’ll be foisting a frustrating app on them which doesn’t seem like a nice gift... I hope the tech team can get the resources to really improve this app..Version: 4.5.15

Very disappointingThe idea behind this app is solid and has huge potential, but the execution is almost insulting. The interface is clunky and counter intuitive - you’re constantly prompted to rate exercises that you haven’t done; the same videos appear again and again, the videos themselves are poorly filmed and the science behind many of the exercises badly explained, if at all. Very much regret paying for a whole year’s discounted subscription up front, after being given the hard sell, before I’d had a proper chance to test the app..Version: 4.4.1

Helpful but not neededDidn’t understand when I purchased that virtually all videos and articles are for an extra cost. Found it helpful he first six months of baby’s life..Version: 4.7.64

I need to reinstall all the timeI love the activities and milestones track, but it is quite annoying that I need to reinstall the app all the time since it doesn’t upload properly. I never receive any apps update to fix it..Version: 4.1.7

Impossobke to unsubscribeI paid for this App in 2017. I was very happy with it, but they automatically renewed my subscription without my permission for one more year. Now I received again an email that it will renew automatically again in the 21st of March and I’m trying to unsubscribe and I can’t see anywhere to do this. Very unethical. I’mextremely upset. I will contact Apple to let them now how this people work..Version: 2.2.30

Money grabberNot worth the download time... videos are too common, nothing new to learn for the average parent.Version: 4.6.16

Very Poorly DesignedFrom the the initial look and feel of it, it feels very antiquated. The app is poorly designed, and not user friendly at all. To make matters worse, somehow my account information (either my email or pass was incorrect) and kicked me out — mind I tell you this is AFTER I PAID for the subscription. I contacted their support team and it has been well over a week that they respond once a day I’ve been going back and forth on. I sent them my subscription email verification and the welcome emails they’ve been sending me and STILL they they are not able to find my login even after I’ve sent them the emails they’ve been sending me. The brief moment I used the app, the use/feel felt very 2008ish to me not a modern app. I paid for the content which now I regret even paying for it. And when I asked for refund they referred me to the Apple team to get my money back. Garbage app, don’t bother with it. Use a more modern one like Kinedu..Version: 4.5.13

Good concept - Poor execution please refundHello I was recommended this app and decided to give it a try. The concept is brilliant, however there are execution issues which make me now to request from baby sparks a refund ASAP 1) I have chosen the month subscription (£3.49) - within minutes I got an email from iTunes saying I charged the yearly one (£22). 2) Even with the above had problems logging in and I can not access the whole set of activities as expected - it shows I don’t have any paid subscription at all. I have logged out and logged in again it doesn’t work I have notified this by email to customer services for days and received no response whatsoever Given the above - ie I have paid fir a service I can not use when I need it, please someone at baby process a refund asap Your prompt response is appreciated Dary.Version: 2.2.34

Unusable - paid lifetime subscriptionUpdate: The developer did respond to my email by telling me to delete and download the app again. I was able to access the paid videos. However I still have to log in every time I try to use it and logging in requires typing in your full email and password. When you have a baby ready to play it’s incredibly inconvenient and prevents me from using it much. For an almost $40 app (I have never paid this much for an app), it is not worth it. Despite paying the lifetime subscription, the subscription videos are locked and when I click on them, I am told to purchase a subscription again. When I look in the app to see my purchase history, it had no record of my purchase. However, I have an Apple receipt for the subscription and when I purchased it, it worked for a few days. In addition, I am constantly signed out and there is no option to save log in info or use fingerprint log in. As result I have to type my email and password every time. I have contacted the developer but so far I have received no response. There should be option to refund apps that do not work..Version: 2.2.16

Waste of moneyIt was supposed to be a trial, but they charged me immediately. The videos are nothing new or special..Version: 4.7.47

Unable to hace full access but been chargedI purchased the app on a monthly subscription today to give it a good go and unlock all the activities, I noticed that the app had an update which I just did and now and my profile is gone and email address wasn’t recognised, I’ve already been charged for first month and due to the update can’t access even it..Version: 3.0.27

Poor customer serviceI took 5 live classes so that I can get 50 minutes free with an expert but that seems like a scam that they do. I set the dates for the consultation but I did not hear back from them at all. I sent an email to their support regarding this but did not hear back either. Very disappointing..Version: 4.7.25

“Updates” make it worse and the app pushes sleep trainingThe app was fine when I first purchased it, but in the past 6 months it has been updated twice. Both times making it worse than before. The last update seems to have erased all of the milestone dates that had been tracked. Milestone progress is at 0% after the last update and it’s not intuitive to figure out how to fix it. I’ve had to email supper twice for various things in 6 months. Also, some of the “milestones” and tips push sleep training. For example, a milestone is your baby sleeping through the night at an age well before that is developmentally appropriate. One of the tips is that at 4-6 months you can start sleep training. I am highly in favor of biologically normal sleep and do not intend to ever sleep train, but this app is set up in a way that shows my baby is behind if he isn’t sleep trained. I bought the lifetime membership because I intend to have more children, but I regret that..Version: 4.0.35

App ok but customer service poorI don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to after such bad customer service. The app itself is ok with lots of ideas of things to try with your baby over a spectrum of different developmental skills (although they can be a bit repetitive.) The issue I had was when, about a week after I paid for the subscription, I couldn’t access everything again, as if I hadn’t paid. I contacted the app developers and they asked me to send a receipt and some other details. I didn’t hear from them for over a month so I emailed again saying I was unhappy with their service. I finally got a reply yesterday, simply stating that the ‘issue has been fixed’ but it hasn’t! I will be cancelling the subscription. What a waste of money! 😡.Version: 4.6.13

Probably not going to use past a month if remains buggyI paid for a month to see if I would like the app. I'm glad I did because so far, it is too buggy to be worth $38. On the main screen it says 'play with Clover' (my daughter's name) twice. Often when I click on things, I am left with a white screen. I can get things to load if I close the app and try again a few times. I like that the app is able to handle that my daughter is 2 months old already and not due yet. (12 weeks premature). The videos have good ideas, but should list recommended times. (Like, should I 'rotate her on her back like the hands of a clock' once or more. Should there be a time limit?). I like that multiple phones can be under the same account so my husband and I only had to pay once..Version: 2.1.3

Terrible customer serviceI downloaded the app and paid for a year’s membership. Everytime I logged into the app, several of the sections were unavailable to me - the pages wouldn’t load at all. I deleted and reinstalled, force closed the application, logged in and out again, restarted my phone and nothing fixed it. I emailed the customer support and received very slow and unhelpful replies. First I was told to make sure I was logged in, which obviously I was. Then I had no further help so I emailed again and was sent information on how to cancel. Not once did anyone try to actually solve or fix the problem. I’ve requested a refund from Apple in the end as it’s put me right off and I no longer want to pay for their terrible service..Version: 4.7.25

Always loading, fix pleaseAwesome content. However, app always in loading mode since updated..Version: 4.6.42

High standard playingWhen I first bought this app, first I thought it was monthly payment then when the entire year payment came out first I was a little upset and can’t get a hold of their billing department. Then there are the games, they expect you to have so many toys to play with that each activity is costing to go out and get the objects each activity. Example: grab five balls, each a different size and compare each size with the babies hands? Grab a sphere and have the baby practice crawling? Drop five objects in to cups...poke styrofoam? anyway you get the point. I don’t have styrofoam sitting around my house, I have a couple of balls and some blocks and a lot of toys, I went out and got some of the activity toys but each activity is until the next growth stage...so if you want to go out and buy several things to participate in the app then this is the app for you..Version: 2.2.16

Poor customer serviceStill waiting for an email to reset my password. It's been a week.Version: 4.7.22

Beware annual subscriptionI chose this app as there is a monthly subscription. However it appears £25 has been taken from my card and I now have an annual. Absolutely NOT what I wanted. I tried this on day of purchase and the activities were pretty boring basic things you would do anyway like opening drawers??? Not had chance to look since which is why I wanted the monthly subscription so I could see if I actually got any use from it..Version: 4.2.2

SCAM!I never write a review but feel compelled to do so. I signed up for a newborn sleep class and paid $20. On the day of the class, Dad and I rearranged our schedule to be able to take this interactive class (hard to do with a newborn!) We waited an hour for the class to start and it never started. Others in the class were also chatting waiting for it to start. I HAD to reach out to babysparks and was told their was, “technical difficulties.” They automatically signed me up for another class, which I could not attend. Since it would be available to watch later, I thought whatever better than nothing. However, I now CANNOT WATCH THE CLASS. I reached out again to costumer service and was told to “delete and reinstall the app.” I did and wrote back that I still cannot view the class. I keep writing and get no response. Terrible customer service, no phone number. THIS IS A SCAM! I will be contacting my bank to file a fraudulent claim. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I am worried they now have my bank account info!.Version: 4.6.27

Terrible customer serviceI bought a class from the app and paid the money for it which has come off my account but the company never gave me access to the class and when I click into it it’s asking for more money. This was now 8 days ago I emailed them asking them for access to what I paid for or my money back. I’ve been pawned off with a response saying it will be escalated and then never hearing anything else. I’ve now sent multiple emails with no resolution. Very disappointed!.Version: 4.7.44

I love parts of it, but they need to change the criteria for activity recommendationI have gotten great value from this app and would say it is worth it overall. However, it seems to be only for babies that are exactly on track with all development. My son is 16 months and not independently walking yet. It is not that big of a deal. Half of the activity recommendations made by the app are for a child that is walking unsupported. It does not matter how many times I report that activity being “too difficult” they still constantly recommend them. Likewise I have the same problem with some activities being far to easy, like self feeding, yet they continue to recommend. There should be a way to filter out activities based on capabilities of the child. Also, they offer a lot of activities that are not helpful because they aren’t an actual activity, but more of a general reminder of way to interact with your child in normal daily happenings. Furthermore, some of the activities I don’t agree with based on my parenting style. There should be a way to completely disqualify an activity suggested..Version: 4.7.17

Difficult to cancelI am finding it difficult to cancel my month to month subscription to this app. Their advice online is to cancel via ITunes subscriptions, but it does not appear here and is charged to my credit card directly by Baby Sparks. There is an option on the app to change your subscription but not to cancel it. Very annoying! I have sent an email to their customer care..Version: 4.5.6

AnnoyingI’ve unsubscribed from all their newsletters (which I don’t remember subscribing for in the first place) and yet keep receiving them DAILY..Version: 4.6.17

DejanApp was working fine until i purchased the full description and tried to share it, it just displays “something went wrong”. I tried logging out and unable to log back in. I tried resetting password but it just displays “something went wrong”. Now im locked out of my full subscription..Version: 4.5.4

Can’t unsubscribeI stumbled upon this app when I was home during my maternity leave. I just had my first child and thought it would be a fun app to explore seeing how I was home all day and I wanted to keep him active/learning and working towards milestones. So I THOUGHT I subscribed for a month. I figured, if I like it. I’ll purchase it for a longer period. Then I was charged for a year. So I bit the bullet. I swore I choose a month, but maybe it was an accident and I purchased a year subscription. What upsets me is not the fact that in a split second a $4 charge became a $25 charge...but the fact I can’t find anywhere to unsubscribe. The last thing I want is this app charging me another $25 automatically for ANOTHER year when I have opened this app only a handful of times. So frustrated..Version: 4.5.6

I love it - in theoryIn want to love this app but it NEVER works properly. It is always frozen or doesn’t load at all - some functions work ok, but for a paid app I expect more ..Version: 4.6.41

Left me in depressionI downloaded BabySparks when my child was 3 weeks. At 4-6 months I noticed exercises were way to hard for my baby to complete. He could only do 20-30% of what was offered for his age. I felt bad and depressed because I felt my child can’t do “simple things”. We then had checks at our Health Visitor who confirmed my child is doing great for his age. We are in the UK. I believe these babies in the videos are so advanced due to a warmer climate (?) The audio in the video wouldn’t work for long time, too. Overall, well done with contents and structure but hard to cope with emotional pressure app put me in as a single parent..Version: 2.2.18

IssuesReally enjoyed this app but it stopped letting me access the activities included in the premium package that I’ve been paying for monthly over the past half a year or so.. it is very frustrating as it appears that the app is not in sync with the app store so it can’t see that I’ve paid for the subscription! It is a shame that although I’ve contacted them about this issue I haven’t received any answer yet. Also, I struggle with the logging in every single time I access the app. Would be so great if these issues were sorted asap..Version: 2.2.16

Unable to access activities I pay forFor some reason I can no longer access paid activities even though I have an activity subscription. I have emailed support multiple times and constantly get told to SYNC the app, which clearly doesn’t work. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no success either. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP, THE SUPPORT IS USELESS TOO. I’m so fed up!.Version: 2.2.36

No functionality at allThis app doesn't seem to have anything in it - there are no activities at all. It seems you have to purchase a subscription but it doesn't even let you do that - nothing happens. The prices mention US dollars so maybe it doesn't work outside the US? There doesn't seem to be a way to do anything with the app. I'm going to delete it now and use Kinedu instead..Version: 2.1.3

Won’t stop sending emailsI tried it, didn’t want to continue. Months later and also many unsubscribe attempts and I still get emails from them..Version: 4.7.4

Doesn’t display properly on max pro devicesI paid a subscription and can’t use the product as it doesn’t display properly on any of my pro max devices, the screen up top and down below cuts off which means no access to the menu section as it’s below the swipe line.Version: 4.7.46

Classes section never loadsWaste of money. The virtual class section doesn’t even load..Version: 4.6.1

BE CAREFULSubscription is automatically set for 1 year after 3-day trial period and it doesn’t seem possible to get a refund. A few interesting tricks are given but certainly not a year’s worth of learning. Fully regret downloading this app!.Version: 4.7.9

Good content but glitchyAs a first time mom with very little prior experience with babies, I have found this app to be really helpful with finding activities to do with my new baby. However, there are technical glitches which are quickly becoming annoying and make the app almost unusable at times: multiple times a day, I get logged out of the app (sometimes even while using the app), so I’m constantly needing to log back in. On more than one occasion (and sometimes more than once a day), the activities for the day will change after I log back in. It’s frustrating to be logged out repeatedly, but it’s more annoying to have activities change and tracked progress lost as a result. For an app I paid for, I would expect not to have such buggy issues, and I hope an update comes soon to fix these problems. The content is very good, so I hope the technical kinks can be worked out..Version: 2.1.5

Must use app daily get Free activitiesIf you don’t use the app daily you don’t get access to the free activities for that day. Only get 2 free activities a day. $60 for a lifetime subscription seems a bit too expensive for what you get. Plenty of other options out there. *Edited to reply to your response* Thank you for your response, You said that the app adapts to our individual child’s need when we tick off and activity as done etc... well I just had two days in a row that the app has given me the same free activities. I have previously marked them as completed and archived them because they are too easy, yet they have popped up again yesterday and today..Version: 3.0.27

Annoying issuesThis app was initially great however it is not very intuitive. For example if I have ticked that my child has achieved a milestone e.g. crawling, the app still suggests activities to encourage my child to crawl. Also it annoys me so much that when I want to quickly check out a suggested activity, the app is asking me to rate the difficulty for each activity I look at..Version: 4.6.42

Trap appLet you download and register provide your personal information before letting you know this app is not free this is a trap if you offer less than 2% of your app free you should not be allowed to list it as free.Version: 4.6.18

Unfortunately disappointingI really loved it at first. I noticed it was subscription based but for the amount you get it felt worth the cost to me. The cost was originally roughly $3 a month. It includes activities for your child, milestones, as well as height and weight tracker. HOWEVER, after my free trial was over (still had to pay your subscription fee to get the free trial). Now I’ve had an additional amount taken out. The activities I used to do daily with my son now have a lock and the have to pay premium for the “activity package”. Seems like a money scam to me..Version: 4.6.8

Good activities but slow and buggy appThe app logs me out ALL THE TIME. Also it’s frustratingly slow. Especially when you want to review all the activities for the day. After reading each one for the first time, you have to dismiss the prompt that asks you to mark it as done/too easy/too hard. It’s really slow to respond and return to the main screen. You have to do this 10 separate times when reviewing all 10 activities. But in terms of milestone information and activities, it’s very good but there is some room for improvement in the exact set up. Some of the milestones are a bit ambiguous - like ‘has a better understanding of self as a desperate entity and acts accordingly’. How do you know when your child has that understanding? You need some concrete examples of what they would do if they had achieved this. The videos are helpful in understanding the activities. The ‘things to remember’-type section with things to consider every day hasn’t been that helpful for a while. My baby has outgrown all the suggestions or we do them anyway (like talking constantly, explaining what I’m doing). So now instead of useful new things I can weave into my daily routine, it only gives me suggestions for things suitable for a baby 6-12 months older, like potty training..Version: 2.2.16

Good idea - glitchy appGreat activities available and really useful information to help figure out what we should be helping our children to achieve each month. Feels good to be able to tick off activities completed and see the progress for the week. The problem is with the app glitching - I have added my youngest child, and updated my older child’s photo, several times however every time I open the app it’s reverted back to no younger child at all and old photo for the other child. Either that or it adds my youngest twice but without the picture I uploaded. Makes it pretty hard to use as rarely have time to fix it.Version: 2.2.18

Basic reviewIt’s quite helpful, I find I don’t use it very often as I only have the free version and it only offers 2 activities a day I would spend money for the more options only I’ve been unemployed since October because of Covid and can’t afford to waste money on something that I don’t know if it’s really worth it. However it seems easy enough to navigate and has some helpful information. Otherwise it’s ok 👍.Version: 4.6.41

WARNINGWARNING - make sure you delete the app after you stop using otherwise they will charge you again every year automatically without emailing you to tell you they have done it. I only used for a few months and then unknowingly have been charged for 3 years. Very unsatisfied customer.Version: 2.2.37

Fear-based app. Avoid.First time parents, do yourselves a favor and avoid this app. I understand where you’re at; I was desperate to do everything right by my baby and fill my knowledge gaps. However, this just made everything worse, increased our anxiety, and made us feel we weren’t doing enough. Instead of spending our time enjoying our newborn, we were constantly under pressure to do tasks to “ensure” their success. After 2 weeks we deleted the app, and guess what? She’s walked at 10 months, can already form words, and everyone comments on how intelligent she is. All babies develop differently, and she had a rather slow start in other areas. That can seem devastating in the moment, and this app capitalizes off that. If you want your little one to be a day ahead of that kid down the block, go for it, but that’s the bulk of the benefit you’ll get from all your investment..Version: 4.7.49

TechThe videos are buggy, however once they respond and load, the content can be helpful..Version: 4.7.36

Can’t sync across devicesThe concept of the app seems great but there’s no direction on how to sync the app across devices so both myself and my husband can login and tick off different activities. I can’t find any instructions online & their support team haven’t responded to our email asking.Version: 4.6.8

What the heck?I was not able to keep this app on my phone for long due to my memory filling up. Which is obviously no fault of the company. But what’s irritating me is that I had to create an account with them (which would usually be no big deal), except for the fact that I had unsubscribed FIVE TIMES, and they’re still sending me several emails a day. I tried going into their website to “update my preferences”, but though the button appears on my website, I’m pretty sure it’s nonexistent. My phone was not frozen, internet is working fine, but the button would not click. Instead my screen would just zoom in on it, which it only does when I want to click on anything but a button. Anyway, this is not cool and not professional and I really want to stop having these crowd my email..Version: 4.7.25

Not impressedI’m hoping someone can help me out as I signed up to the free trial and then was debited the amount from my account. I am not impressed because I would like to have made my mind up about the app before purchasing and now this app has gone and taken the monies out anyway. Could someone please contact me and help me with this. It clearly states on your intro page that you offer a free 3 day trial and the option to cancel within that timeframe is allowed. How come this wasn’t the case for me. I would like a refund..Version: 4.7.47

Terrible customer service!I was hoping to sign up for their new year promotion which was half off for the annual subscription - instead I was charged for the full price! When I contacted customer service they promptly told me that the promotion had ended by the time my CC was charged, which wasn’t true. Since then, no one has responded to my follow up emails. I was looking for a price match but at this point, I want a full refund because the app isn’t worth it if they’re treating their subscribers like this. Awful experience so far!.Version: 4.7.25

Waste of moneyThe activities listed are all just little things that most parents already do with their baby’s and are common sense to me. Unfortunately I missed the window to cancel the free trial and got suckered into paying for a year of an app I won’t use..Version: 4.6.8

Keeps crashingI downloaded the app yesterday, paid for the subscription and haven’t been able to use it at all Today because it keeps crashing. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted the app and downloaded again and nothing seems to work. I’m so disappointed because it seemed like such a good thing.Version: 4.7.39

Not worth the moneyI regret downloading this app and paying for it because I don’t get access to any of the classes with my membership. Apparently I have to subscribe to their premium membership which is even more money. I won’t be renewing my subscription..Version: 4.7.20

Waste of money and incorrectly aged exercisesSadly felt like a waste of money. Even if I selected “too hard” or “too easy” for the exercises it still gave the same ones. Plus it was asking me to do exercises well out of by baby’s developmental range (based on research) which started to make me concerned my baby wasn’t developing right. Personally, it’s better to just get some Montessori toys and do your own research..Version: 4.7.42

Shame about the updatesUsed to be fantastic, however so many issues following all the updates. Far more glitches and not nearly as user friendly or easy to navigate as the old format. Very disappointed with the changes.Version: 4.0.33

Disappointing serviceFellow parents Be warned that even when you ask not for automatic renewal and download App when BKK want to cancel your subscription it’s a hideous process. Your Apple account doesn’t give an option to completely cancel and when you write to BabySparks customer service to cancel giving sufficient notice they send you an auto response. I have 5 times contacted their customer help center and have had no response. A really disappointing and inexcusable service..Version: 4.7.4
