✓ AmazingI have tried many apps, you tube videos, and DVDs, for years, and nothing compares to Gaia. I can’t even begin to explain how much I have enjoyed this app and how much I have learned. I highly recommend spending the money on it. I tried it once and stopped paying for it. I then ended up spending at least $100 dollars in a year trying to find something that would fit my needs. I would rather spend it here- any day-to be able to do yoga in the privacy of my own home. I am a teacher and a parent that deals with people and young kids all day. ✓ Pause, forward, backI love this app. I love the shows on it. It teaches us so much and I can share with others. Any chance you can make it so I can press pause on my iPad by pressing the space bar? And go backwards and forward by pushing the arrows? At the moment I have to touch the screen and touch the little 15 seconds button. And sometimes I can’t touch it. So I’m just touching it over and over again, which makes the button disappear by touching the screen, until I finally hit it. By then it it’s been a while and I have to go back a lot. And I like to watch this while I’m splicing ropes and building fire props. Or cooking, journaling, and we like to talk about the subjects as the show is playing. It would really be nice. ✓ Amazing!I would have scour Netflix for something as awesome as Gaiam TV. I have found every episode educational and enlightening. Best spent $99 of my life. Believe me, I have learned the hard way that the education system is a lot more expensive and a lot less applicable than what is offered on Gaia. The yoga instructors on the videos all have unique styles, and you will learn something new from each session. The episodes range in duration, so it is convenient for the purposes of fitting a class into your busy schedule- no matter how short the class. The series offered on Gaia cover the topics that most others would avoid, but do so in a very professional manner. All of the documentaries or interviews that I have had the pleasure of watching have proven to be both thought-provoking and eye-opening. Best of all, having access to Gaia on your phone helps pass the times when you may be stuck in silly Tacoma traffic. What is supposed to be a half hour drive turns into a two hour drive. ✓ Seems worth it!My daughter practices yoga daily, and recommended this app to me. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and with the App Store having an article on some other yoga apps, I tried them out a bit. What I don’t like about Gaia is the cost—$99 on the year plan, or $12 per month if I don’t prepay a year. I think most of the other apps are a bit less, but they seem to offer so much less. I have an excellent yoga place nearby, but its schedule and mine don’t often agree, it’s definitely more expensive than Gaia, and I don’t have the option of short classes. What I do like is the quality of the classes and instructors, the variety of what’s offered, the reliable way I can stream videos on my iPad (or to my Apple TV) for me to practice. My own peculiarities also influence this—I’m not going to go out and do yoga for 90 minutes. Being able to locate videos that are 15-20 minutes fits well with my attention and energy span. In addition, I like to vary what I do. I think I’m fine doing my own meditation, but there are good videos for that. But I can change up between yoga and Tai Chi or whatever and feel I can do what my body needs. I can download so I can even squeeze in a session in the office, where I don’t have a WiFi connection. ✓ Some great classes, class descriptions inaccurateI really enjoy classes when I can find the right ones. There is a large variety to chose from and some great teachers who have recorded classes. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5... because true to all yoga studios, the description of the class is never accurate. Vinyasa 2-3 means very different things to different people (for some teachers it means lots of child’s poses and for others it means lots of chaturangas). So the only way to figure out whether you will like a class or not is by scrolling through a video to see if it meets what you are looking for. It has always been my pet peeve with yoga. No standardization in descriptions and or levels. I think all of the “let’s not judge and watch our emotions pass us” talk means we aren’t supposed to care..Version: 4.15.2

✓ App IssuesI'm so excited to be apart of this community, my concern is yesterday I was listening to one of the series that I’m following while traveling in my car and once I completed one of the videos nothing else would play for the remainder of about 2 hours of my road trip. I closed the app restarted, I turned my cell phone off and restarted it; still nothing, it just wouldn’t play. I’m truly hoping that issue will not happen again. I joined Gaia so I can control the messages that are playing in my car particularly while traveling, so that experience was quite disappointing. The only thing wish were different is that the app on my smart tv often fails, it gets stuck and I have to exit the app and come back in and find my program again. Also, a “start from beginning” button would be a wonderful addition because programs sometimes will refuse to rewind or fast forward to the end, making it impossible to start from the beginning. ✓ Great content but...Love the content, but it’s not easy to navigate. The way it saves “my playlist” is all over, it will be great to view the lists by theme. It’s not clear what you have watched. Things you have finished watching still show on top under “continue watching”. There could be a tab that shows what I have watched under my account...not on top, unless I have not finished. The offline content, has worked very few times...it’s actually very frustrating when you plan to watch something on a train, airplane or outside the country... and none of the videos will work... some of them show like downloaded and others still pending, but none will work, even with a good internet speed. Unless you have to do one at a time...there should be a warning. I tried to practice yoga using a TV screen, it’s very hard to navigate and many times videos will not load, so I get stuck in the middle of the practice... not good! I also noticed that some content now show restricted for the US... when I selected to watch, it was available, not sure what happened. As I said, content is great, lots of different variety of topics, but have couple of things to work for a great product. Update: the issues mentioned above still persists after a long time except for the sorting of my playlist. Good feature 👍🏼 it has some glitches though. This is perfect it has great teachers rooted in the true spiritual approach of yoga, there are classes for all levels and styles. You can browse classes for specific issues such as back pain or core and by the amount of time - some mornings I can only do 20-30 minutes but there are classes for that. My only negative comment is: please add something on the website saying when a series gets canceled or when the content gets pulled. I am a follower of David Wilcock and I had heard through the grapevine that his original interviews with Corey Goode were on this platform. This is actually what led me to signup for the trial, only to find out that the interviews and other content had been pulled due to issues between Gaia and Corey. ✓ Netflix for the mind and soulOverall I love this service. Fantastic and uplifting content. There’s just a few things that keep this a from being a 5-star app: -issues with off-line access. I travel a lot and would love to have this information and content while I am camping or on a plane. Every time I try to download it will say complete and then it shows the download button again. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. And then sometimes when it downloads it will play audio but not video. The web version plays fine oh my computer but the app seems to have issues, at least on my iOS devices, which are running the latest versions of iOS -I was really hoping for more conscious relationship content. But unfortunately there’s barely anything there for improving your relationship or marriage. There’s too many documentaries about raw food, meditation, yoga and health. None of those are bad per se there’s just so many of them, would love to see more relationship stuff. -The price is a bit high at $12 a month, I’d love to see it at nine dollars or 10.Version: 5.4.38

✓ No Dates and Times of ShowsThe content is pretty good but across all of Gaia but the thumbnails of the shows are missing the date and time the show first aired. The only way you can tell is by actually playing the show and then the first air date shows up. This is extremely annoying, especially since many of the shows are date and time sensitive. It has actually been so annoying I stop actually watching shows because I don't want to have to constantly start shows just to see how old they are. I get it that Gaia thinks they know everything more than their viewers and is trying to hide the dates to give the shows a timeless quality but viewers are smarter than that. ✓ Affordable yoga! Yesss!I really value this app for being able to take so many yoga classes for just $10 a month. They might not all be the greatest videos or all the greatest yoga teachers, but i found one teacher i really jive with so i mostly stick with her videos and I'm happy to use the app this way. Real life yoga classes are so expensive, and i get to do this in the comfort of my own home... what's more is that it encourages me to stick with a morning practice of yoga + meditation where i lacked the self-discipline to do so before. ✓ Love Gaia, but app stinksI'm so glad Gaia finally came out with a mobile app, years later than they should have, but for some reason they never take the time and effort to do it right. This version is much better than the previous one, but I still have problems with basic things like rewinding 10 seconds. Either pressing the 10 second button doesn't work, or you can only press it 1 time and it stops responding, or the whole player freezes or crashes, and you have to exit or restart the whole player again to continue watching the video. Heck, sometimes the player freezes even when you press nothing. It's super frustrating. I wish Gaia realized that mobile devices are how many if not most people access content nowadays, so they should take the time to do it right. This stuff isn't reinventing the wheel. There's no excuse for their app being so dreadful for years already. Get some decent app developers already!.Version: 3.4.1

✓ Could use some developmentThis app has improved noticeably in loading videos. That’s great. Further improvements could be made in how the rotation changes between portrait and landscape on iPad - the video starts out upside down so I have to flip my iPad back and then back again. I find myself having to temporarily toggle off the Wi-Fi and switch to cellular for videos to load sometimes. I’m on a VPN but it doesn’t get consistently smoother when I’m off the VPN. The process of either downloading or monitoring download progress is fragile. If I go to a different view and then return, the download in progress may regress or remain stuck in the queue, but if I stay on the view after tapping the download button it works as expected nearly 100% of the time. Downloads also are slower than on other video apps. But this just might have to be expected considering They probably don’t want this material out there..Version: 5.4.20
