✓ Disappointed GamerI really enjoy this game but for the second time. When I attempt to update this game it says that it can’t update the app at this time. This happened with the last update and I couldn’t update it. So I deleted it and tried to redownload it expecting that it would have saved my save data. I was wrong, lost everything. And now here I am again an update has come out and it won’t let me update the game. Yet I can update all the other hundreds of games and apps I have on my phone (iPhone X) Edit: the developer response suggests that I attempt to use a different WiFi and or restart my phone (the first two things that any competent person would do when something goes wrong, which I did) as I mentioned I have countless games and apps that are updated on my phone daily. Yet this game doesn’t update twice. Perhaps this issue Isn’t with the actual coding but some sort of App Store glitch. Regardless as the maker of the app I’d make it my priority to find out why it’s happening and get the responsible party to fix the problem. I’ll give it a three star instead of one seeing as it may not directly be the developers fault but it is still an issue that is unique to this game and in my opinion the responsibility of the dev..Version: 1.3.3

✓ Poor ControlsControls are frustrating on iPad. Should adopt a more standard twin stick scheme. Currently you can only pan in the main view screen but not with shoot button. Coupled with a pretty poor lock on and the toughest fight is with the controls. A lock button would help a lot, you need to get the reticule far to close for auto lock. It’s An OK game but would rather play Terraria (or Trove if not on mobile).Version: 1.2.7

✓ Minecraft and RPG ComboLove the concept, battle is simple but fun. Having the exact same issue as others in there’s no persistence of actions. iOS 11, iPadPro - have repaired and expanded structures, left to come back to find all my changes gone and my inventory of items still missing (inventory building items used but nothing to show for it). Noticed persistence exists in that what I’ve mined is still gone (can’t go back to old site and find copper or coal but building repairs and expansions are gone). Frustrating given a large portion of game is in the building, improvements and expansions. In addition this seems to be a huge battery drain. Even with the iPad Pro hooked to a charger, I’m finding a loss of battery during play of about 2% per half hour of play. With just running off of battery the power drain is much faster..Version: 1.2.7

✓ CaseBad news- leveled to thirty, beat the hollow king four times- no drops- nothing... no gems, minerals; certainly not the astral heart which kind of closes the door on the games finish. Beat him in the middle of the platform at least once so they are not going over the edge as some, on-line, have suggested...huh? Freezing in between portals is still a problem but can be circumvented through closing out and reloading. Updated on latest iOS etc. When I am at the portal screen and your download status bar is filling it will stop at about 1/4, and no longer progress. The portal cut-scene will continue to play so it appears that you are visually progressing but the load status bar will freeze. The only way to exit is close and reopen- thankfully your load times are short. Attempted to go back through a new world to give the game another chance to work but once you level to thirty, except for recipe drops any progress potential dies. Did not have the replay-ability to warrant going back through to reactivate the portals just to get the end boss drops. Entertaining to a point but ultimately disappointing due to glitches..Version: 1.3.0

✓ The game is good, but server.This is a fun sandbox RPG, and it’s good to make mobile version cross play with PC version, but what’s the point to making it if the mobile version doesn’t catch up the PC version? I setup a server on my PC, but the server is 1.4.4 and mobile version is still 1.4.2. Okay, lower version can’t join a higher version server, I understand. But when I setup a 1.4.2 server and my PC can’t join... If you guys really wanna make this cross play works, maybe make it like the game can support lower version server or something that make cross-play can work with different version?.Version: 1.4.2
✓ Swimming? No...more like drowningI’d love to give this game 5 stars. I really would but you can’t swim. If you’re looking to buy this game, and wonder why it’s such a big deal, well there’s water everywhere and in some levels you need to get to places in the middle of the water. You Jump in the water to swim to it and you sink like a rock. Then try swimming up to get onto the little island but the water is too deep and you can’t reach the surface. So you decide to build a dirt platform but guess what? You don’t have enough time because you’re holding your breath and so you drown instead losing gold and items. Oh and there’s no corpse to loot when you spawn back at the portal platform so you lose your stuff for good because the games mechanic doesn’t let you actually swim..Version: 1.2.7

✓ Game keeps freezing and losing progressI first played this on the Nintendo Switch and it was awesome. So when I saw it for my mobile I was excited to play it. Game play is good and touch controls work well. Playing on an iPhone X, the graphics seem better than the Switch and it is very smooth. Only note is playing it will make the phone hot. Noe my reason for the low score is the game keeps freezing and when it finally reloads, I have lost progress and items in my inventory. For example, I placed a bunch of looted furniture around my house, crafted a new wand, and built the spawn shield. When I placed the shield, the game froze. When it finally reloaded, everything I did was lost and all the items I used to craft the wand and shied were missing also. This type of thing has happened several times now and it is very frustrating to lose all the time I spent collecting the materials only to have to do it again. Developers, Please fix this!!!!!.Version: 1.2.7

✓ It was ok..When I bought this game I expected a Minecraft-Legend of Zelda Game. What I got was nowhere close. First off, when the game finished downloading the game there was no app. You had to open it from the App Store. Very confused about that? Second off, the game tries too hard to get a Minecraft and Legend of Zelda kind of experience which also effects the Gameplay. The gameplay controls and mechanics are very uncomfortable and awkward to use. The story isn’t that great either. Overall, it has great potential but it needs a lot of work. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star review. Developers if you are reading this, please fix this game to its full potential. ✓ It's good but..It's a very good game, it's like Minecraft meets Diablo. The only problem is there is no online multiplayer, unless you have someone else who purchased the game it's boring to play alone all the time. So if you guys could make online multiplayer globally it'd be great. Also the tutorial isn't clear enough, if you go through the portal too early, you don't know what you're doing. There should be something showing you what you must do rather than just letting you do whatever and not know what you're doing. I understand it says to stay longer before going out but it's not very helpful as anyone, myself included, would just walk through the beginning portal without thinking anything about the warning..Version: 1.3.0

✓ Some fundamental issuesThis game is gorgeous and fun. Portal Knights takes an already established niche and improves upon it. The game makes great use of a lovely world full of unique creatures and engaging terrains. I fell in love with the visuals the moment I started. But, here’s where the game starts failing. The controls on mobile are atrocious. The camera makes it impossible to see in any tight spaces or fights. The wonky virtual joystick is very difficult to use and make targeting a nightmare. The game allows a first person perspective which helps with building since you can’t see through your character to place blocks, but in tight spaces you can’t see anything. I don’t know how exactly Portal Knights would improve the controls to make this playable on mobile but as it is now it is frustrating and unrewarding. My only idea would be to add a zoom option and maybe transparency to the character when placing blocks. Also being able to place multiple blocks at once would help make the building less tedious and awkward. I’m honestly not sure if there is a good way to make this game playable on mobile but it deserves support because it is a truly great game. It is easily the best in its genre..Version: 1.5.2
✓ Nothing to do in this gameThe purpose of this game just isn’t clear. There are no consequences or benefits to any actions. You can collect things around you like stone blocks or plants or even people. But then there is no explanation about what to do with them and no faq or help. Occasionally you get killed by a monster but then you’re revived and back to picking up dirt and stones. You can apparently make things with the dirt and stones like clothing but there’s no explanation about exactly how to do that or what to do with that either. The tutorial explains NONE of these things. It’s a waste of money unless wandering aimlessly without any kind of reward or purpose is your kind of game. You could walk around your neighborhood and do the same thing. At least then you’d get exercise and it would be free....Version: 1.5.3

✓ Great game, But one big mistakeThis game is awesome, really nice graphics and all, the gameplay is smooth, however some blocks aren’t quite as nice as they seem in the inventory. The one major problem I have with this game is that I can’t continue the principal quest! You see, at one point you have to get meteorites. But the said ones do NOT fall from the sky as they are supposed to be. (Unless it’s different, on mobile, from the Ps4 edition) As a result, i am unable to get to the last boss! ✓ Was 5 stars before the updateI bought and downloaded the game as soon as I came out. I found a really enjoyed it and ended up playing a bit too much. So I took a couple weeks off and came back after the update. I gave it a shot but now wish I never hit the update button. The rework of the weapon system is a big point of frustration especially if you played before and have my luck as my Iron Mitt was no longer in my inventory. The Pirate Sabre I was using now required two more levels to be able to use. The next change to me is the worst. As you may be able to tell I play as a Warrior. Most games in the genre give Warriors at least one ranged skill, attack, or weapon. Something like a taunt that they can use at a distance. Portal Knights had it before the update, throwing axes. A lot of times enemies are in packs and you may want to draw one away at a time. You could utilize the throwing axe to accomplish that, though not now. I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement though I tried what is available. Bombs all blow holes in the ground. Warriors are not allowed to use a slingshot or weapons of the sort. ✓ Fantastic, but..I truly enjoyed the pc version and was excited to see this game in the App Store. Being able to play a sandbox game on the go with my phone sounded like a sweet idea. After playing for a bit, the game drove me nearly insane with one simple issue. The flick evade controls are horrible. Simply trying to step to the side to place the next block shouldn’t send me diving off a cliff (in more ways than one). Please add an option to have an evade button near the A&B buttons. It is unbelievably frustrating to build on a pixelated tight rope, only to dash off your platform to your death. Even in creative mode, it is near impossible to build anything without rolling all over the place. (Yes, even though you can fly I still find myself rolling half the time by nicking a surface) If it weren’t for that, I would honestly give a 4 or 5 star rating. Personally, I would like the layout to stay the same (action button above the A&B buttons). Just resize it a little and add the evade button to the left of the A&B buttons..Version: 1.5.3
✓ I need help horrible glitchI was just casually playing and I had a chest room made on port of caul when I decided to make a room for mannequins and armor and stuff on the first island I forgot the name of but when I came back, ONLY ONE COLUMN OF CHESTS WERE LEFT when I had 3 rows and 4 chests each in a stair design going up and 3 columns of those were COMPLETELY MISSING and I don’t know what to do because now I’m stuck with only a bunch of chests full of freaking MICE AND FROGS and everything else just went missing that was about 102 hours of work and gameplay completely destroyed I’m honestly just thinking of quitting the game entirely which is sad because it was such an amazing game but I would have to completely reset and start from scratch otherwise😱😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭any help is appreciated please pk devs, please see this.Version: 1.5.3
✓ Latest update breaks controlsControls on iPad before this update were ropy enough, but given that controls for FPS games on touch screens are always going to be somewhat problematic, were manageable. For some messed up reason only known to the developers, they decided to totally shaft the camera control on this version, so that you’re constantly fighting to keep the camera facing in the direction you want when you’re strafing left / right.
