✓ Decent appThis app is decent but could be great! Would be great if the players could start a chat. Wish it showed an actual calendar. I think it would make it more user friendly. Would like the ability to have students mark if they are going to be at an event or not..Version: 2.7.2
✓ Too many updatesReally like the app but it seems like there is an update every other day. Every single tone coach sends a note, the app says it needs to be updated. Maybe try to update once a month instead of 3-4 times a week..Version: 3.0.0
✓ Not easy to navigateThis app is suppose to be set up for ease. I downloaded app because the advertisement said it was much easier to upload roster. Now I can’t access from three years ago because I don’t have roster uploaded. I don’t see spot to upload my roster. When I hit the + sign it asks for all my information and says that person already exists..Version: 2.7.1
✓ Good app, could easily be GREATAs a coach, I love the idea of this...However, there are many simple bugs and glitches that make the communication side of this difficult to use. All of my players and many of their parents are “linked” to this app. They have all notifications toggled on yet do not see certain messages in the team chat side. Because of this and a few other issues...I’ve had to use the Remind app for all my on-the-go information..Version: 3.0.3
✓ Missing iconsThe app seems to be missing Icons. I get stuck on pages and there’s no icons to select to move forward or even go back to the previous page..Version: 2.6.3
✓ Lots of Bugs Need AddressingWhen trying to save game that was a forfeit, the app crashes every time. Also sometimes when entering scores of games, the app switches the view to horizontally and won’t switch back to vertically..Version: 2.6.3
✓ Slow loading issuesEvery time I log in to check massaged, it takes so long to get into it. No other app has ever taken this long that I’ve seen. The messages repeat themselves also.Version: 2.7.1
✓ Trying really hard to make this work!We decided to go all in with MaxPreps, rosters, stats, full calendar usage that pulls into our website and the app. As mentioned in other reviews, it works great to have all of your events (games, practices, dinners, school events) loaded into the calendar, which pulls to the app but SO disappointing when you sync to your personal calendar, only games sync. I don’t know why it would be developed that way. We are still planning to use the full system this season for lacrosse but we are sitting in the stands with our fingers crossed that the sync will be upgraded REALLY soon to include all events. Any ETA that you can provide would be great!.Version: 2.9.1
✓ Good app but calendar sync does not workWhy is the calendar sync not working? This is one of the simplest things to do from an iOS perspective. Calendar sync is on, everything is setup right, but my iOS calendar shows nothing. From a comparison perspective, TeamSnap does not have similar issues. Please address..Version: 2.4.0
✓ Needs a lot of updatesAdding stats which is a big reason to even use max prep is so difficult to do. My games don’t come up in the game section menu. However they are on the app and online. Very frustrating..Version: 3.0.9
✓ Can’t stay logged inI have never had problem with the app until yesterday when i updated the app. Now every time I go into the app i have to log out and log back in. It is happening to all the girls on my team and some have forgotten their passwords so it’s even more of an inconvenience to continuously having to reset their passwords or log in. please fix this!!!!.Version: 2.7.0
✓ Calendar Sync for iPhone X does not workThe main point of these apps for parents is being able to sync practice and game schedules with you family calendar to assess conflicts. This sync feature does not work with iPhone X. In the app, all team calendars are selected to sync the app even asked if I would like to sync to my iOS calendar I say yes. When I go to my iPhone calendar there’s nothing. Sync needs work for this app to be most useful..Version: 2.6.4
✓ If I can’t sync to my google calendar what good is itWhat good is a youth sports app if I have to manually enter games into my calendar?Maybe I’m doing something wrong but as an early adopter of online calendar and youth sport calendar syncing- I can’t figure it out and I’ve set up likely fifty other apps/platforms to sync. To make matters worse, I’ve been contacting customer service since December 3 and they are almost non- responsive and the issue is not resolved..Version: 2.8.6
✓ Ok AppI like the idea of this app. My biggest complaint is that I don’t get push notifications. I’ve checked all my settings & everything is turned on. Also my husbands didn’t synchronize his calendar.Version: 2.7.9
✓ New, so still some bugsJust loaded the Teams app; and now the update. Every time I go to “Copy Roster from Last Year”, it thinks for a few seconds and crashes. It takes me back to the home screen, totally out of the app. Like I said, it’s new so I’m sure there will be bugs to work out. Any suggestions MaxPreps people?.Version: 2.0.1
✓ Trouble syncing players to chatI’ve used this app since it’s inception. This year for some reason I’m having all kinds of issues with my players confirming their profiles In order to get on the chats which is what I really use the app for. I can’t seem to pinpoint what has changed as I haven’t had issues in the past. Players have deleted their profiles in an attempt to start over. Some worked others didn’t. As a coach I cannot take the time to troubleshoot everyone’s issues. Just a waste of time and unreliable communication vehicle. In an age where kids are on every social media platform it seems crazy that this app cannot be figured out by my kids. Frustrating..Version: 2.9.2

✓ Want to love itI want to love it, it was the perfect idea.. but how I go to send a message to a group and I have a completely random group of players under my athlete list, that are NOT even on my roster anymore, deleted players.. it’s rather strange to find them there and the linked players on the roster not there...Version: 2.3.1
✓ Sign up via mobile phone neededWhy is it that most team apps still only accept email addresses when signing up team members? Don’t you all know that most kids don’t even know their email address?.Version: 2.7.8
✓ Teams app not an upgradeLacks basic functionality of rival sports messaging apps such as Team Snap and Sports Engine. Could really improve messaging to athletes by creating real time group messaging without having to create a group. Many parents and players will also change emails and phone numbers, app must improve by allowing users to change personal settings. Players had a hard time signing up..Version: 2.9.4
✓ Almost okThe app is almost ok. Everything kind of works, but there are a lot of strange issues like the chat showing new messages, but only old stuff is there. Players get logged off and when they try to log back in it says a player already exists and they can’t sign in, no autocorrect, notifications often come at random times - even after seeing the message in the actual chat. It kind of works..Version: 2.4.1
✓ Crashing at LoginAs soon as I put in my password for MaxPreps and Submit, the screen goes black and it crashes. Now that the password is in, even when I try to launch the app it goes black and crashes. I tried reinstalling it first. Same result..Version: 2.5.0
✓ Not all change is goodThe old version was working well particularly with texting team members. At first the chat feature in the new version would not allow me to set a group. Now I can but there is no obvious way to add athletes to the chat. Further, all the player information I had was deleted in the update. A roll out of this update should have warned users of the changes and how to achieve the same features. Requests for help submitted on the website, calls to customer service or emails do not elicit any meaningful help. Very poor service..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Update Database to include ISVIIt’s now been Over 1 Year now - closer to 2 years. Our School has NEVER been added to your Database. Last year you finally put us in - but only JV We are the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville Illinois. We now compete Varsity & JV against not only other State Schools for the Blind but against Public & Private Schools from around the area. I’ve called several times, sent emails, messages, ... all for nothing as we’re not included as of yet. If someone can figure out how to include us we’d appreciate it.
