✓ Relief after panicI arrived home after a nearly 2 mile stony beach walk to find my Fitbit in bangle missing. I searched all around the house and where I had changed then took a chance on there being an app for that. There was. I at first balked a bit at the high price but then if it really could find my Fitbit, it’s certainly the cheaper option than buying a new one and bangle. As I am on holiday the WiFi signal isn’t great and it took an age to download but finally it was ready and I did as instructed then went off to repeat my walk. I was so excited when, out of the blue, my phone app picked up a signal. I wouldn’t say it was highly accurate as I still only had 3 orange blips when I eventually found it, and it took some time, but it was more accurate than trying to find it without! If only I could send you a picture of the the stoney beach my little bangle was hiding in! Thank you for the app. I hope I won’t need it again but pleased it’s there if I do..Version: 2.9

Even if it says it's not connected, you have to tell it to forget the device. Once I did that it worked great! Found in minutes. I love the "hotter/colder" feature. ✓ Lost During ConstructionThis app was a godsend. My husband lost the little tracker out of his Flex 2 band while jackhammering a driveway. And though we thought we had it narrowed down pretty well, based on when it last tracked steps, we could not find it after 2 hours of moving dirt around, constantly syncing it to see if we had moved it at all. We pretty much lost hope and had to continue with our work. I kept syncing it still and it seemed to be functioning. That’s when I finally decided to Google how to find a lost Fitbit and came across this app. I figured $5.99 was worth it to not waste a Fitbit I had just gotten 6 months prior. It was a little iffy with the Fitbit being buried, but it certainly helped us narrow it down to one spot where we barely looked earlier. ✓ Success is all that mattersWhile app/scan function seemed to confirm the fitbit’s location in one of the plausible areas where I likely lost it (outside in overly lush tropiflora - doing yardwork - clasp mechanism on band defective), it initially was less definitive than one might have hoped, vacillating between “warm” and two “hotter” settings, without as much precision as I would have liked. I seemed to be in a 20-25’ range. I walked away twice, coming back later in the day to the narrower range I had seemingly established. With persistence, (and likely greater experience with the app) however, I was able to further focus my proximity from 6-8 ft to 2-4 feet and the “hotness” gauge (reflecting nearness of the object/watch) accurately ramped up to the second hottest setting…and then the VOILA moment. Having lost the watch two days ago and spent several hours yesterday to no avail (despite a fair degree of confidence I would find) this app worked! And obviously was worth the modest expense..Version: 2.9.4

On the third day I had my new Fitbit I spent the morning clearing and hauling brush on a wild wooded lot that was also entirely covered with a tangled ivy carpet. When I discovered it was gone, I thought finding it would be hopeless. But I downloaded the APP and wandered all around the woods until I picked up a signal around the giant pile of brush I had collected. I carefully removed branches and sticks piece by piece and pulled up ivy off the ground where I kept getting warm and hot signals. And there it was on the ground! I found this app and figured the cost was trivial compared to the cost I’d pay replacing my lost AltaHR. I found my device in less than 15 minutes in my laundry basket, of all places. I knew it was in my house, so that was likely why this app worked so well - proximity is key. I would highly recommend this app. Just buy it and you’ll not regret this. It reminded me of the “hot or cold” game that children play when one hides an item and the other children then move around and the child who hid the item then says hot or cold depending whether they are advancing closer or moving further away from it. Highly recommend!Always a bit suspicious when an app has really good reviews (in case they were done by the developer to boost downloads) but after losing my Fitbit Flex 2, I figured at £3.99, if it gets my tracker back, it will be worth it. I should mentioned that I didn’t lose the Fitbit band in my house or somewhere, I lost the TINY tracker that slots into the band whilst rugby training in a 30mx30m field – a real needle in a haystack sitch! The app allowed me to go a bit CSI and map out the area on the field were the signal was “Warm” then “Hot” etc. until I was right on top of it! And the bleeps that it gives out as you get warmer and warmer allows you to scan the ground instead of staring at your phone the whole time! I purchased this app when I lost my tracker, just the tiny Flex 2 tracker, in my car as it flew out of my hand. The tracker had gone in the rubber sleeve over the shifter. ✓ Icy RescueMy Fitbit Flex 2 had been missing for a couple of days and I didn't find it in any of the obvious places, on the dresser, next to the sink, in the car, etc., so I turned to Find My Fitbit yesterday evening (and not for the first time.) Got a warm signal, but very inconsistent, in our living room, so I took the couch apart, looked under all the furniture, magazines, etc., but no dice. By this time is was dark and supper was ready. My wife suggested that we could look outside the next day, but I was skeptical and afraid the battery would run down. So, I put on my hat and coat, and went outside. We had had a winter rain / ice / snow storm the day before, and a little bit more snow and wind that day. Got nothing at first, but when I walked around to the front of our house, near the living room, where we have a bird feeder, there was the warm signal again, then warmer, then hot, then, in the light of my flashlight, the wrist band of my Fitbit sticking out of the snow! It had fallen off when I was filling the feeder. I pulled it out and took it inside and showed it to my wife, crusted with snow and ice. ✓ Works if you unpair the FitbitIt works. You just have to unpair your Fitbit device from your phone. (Go to Bluetooth under general settings and do "forget this device.") This was counter-intuitive, and was very scary to me, because I was sure that I would never see my Fitbit again once it was unpaired. I was getting very desperate, because it had been gone for over a week, I searched high and low, and it was getting very low on battery, which I could see from the Fitbit app. Once the battery died I wouldn't be able to electronically find it anymore. As soon as I unpaired ("forgot") it, the finder started to work, and in 5 minutes, I found it under my couch. I didn't even think there was any space under the couch, but there was apparently enough space for a fitbit to hide there. It had fallen into a very weird place. ✓ It workedSpent almost 3 days on and off looking for my Fitbit hr that I knew was in the house as it could sync it but couldn’t find I could see battery was low so decided to try this app in desperation Found it in a watch box mad le if cardboard in a cupboard upstairs and I must have put it there after having a few beers - so was amazed to find it 5.99 well spent although I wish the fit bit app had this functionality Thank you.Version: 2.9.4
