They need at least 30 minutes but don’t get the order until the last 10 minutesOrdered in the app and they won’t let me pick a time less than 30 minutes away. Get there and they don’t have our order. Then they tell us they don’t get it till 10 minutes before pick up. I ask if I can cancel and she tells me know and because I am on a different time zone it will be an hour longer. She acted like the app was the worst way to order but we were on the go and didn’t know how busy they were...they were dead so not sure why they couldn’t fill the order in a timely manner. And yes, you can cancel if they haven’t accepted or processed. App also can’t handle time zones at all. This isn’t the first time this has happened just the most fustrating since we live on the time zone line and they can’t process an order at all. App would be wonderful if the employees actually understood it..Version: 2.12

Not for Canada?App runs smooth but can’t get past the captcha until I’m on a US VPN. I can choose my Panda Express but it takes me to safari to order. And Canadian locations don’t offer rewards. So what’s the point of the app? Two stars because the app is actually smooth to use once I could log in..Version: 5.0.0

Worst experience all the way aroundSo I ordered a delivery order in the app and was told it would be delivered at 12:09. I got a text from DoorDash, that my delivery was confirmed. In the Panda Express app there was no mention of a 3rd party delivery service. I waited until 12:10, looked at tracking and they updated the delivery time to 12:33. I was a bit annoyed, but okay, those things happen. At 12:30 I got a text that the order had been delivered and it certainly wasn’t. I looked at all my neighbors front doors just to make sure that the order wasn’t mistakenly delivered to the wrong address. Then I called the store and was told that they had no responsibility for this since it’s a 3rd party delivery company. I was shocked. So I said it is your app, I didn’t order through a different app, and they told me too bad. Since I had already paid for it I begged for them to make it again and my husband would pick it up. They agreed, but reluctantly. So frustrating and sad that this company works this way..Version: 3.4.0

Horrible app. Changes your addressOrdered last pm. Somehow, our address was changed after hitting order from xxx ct to xxx dr which doesn’t exist. If you google xxx dr it shows our home. Less than one min after ordering, we noticed the error and contacted the supposed driver by phone # provided by you. It did not belong to anyone affiliated with doordash or Panda Express. We then called the restaurant. They said they would let the driver know. I then called doordash, your picked delivery method. They said they tried calling the driver and no answer. Obviously, they do have someway to contact her as they supposedly got the order to her. They said they’d take care of it. The driver was at the store for over 45 minutes according to the tracking app and I still was unable to contact her. Once she started moving, I could she when she arrived in my neighborhood. She drove to the entrance then left. I was standing outside the entire time. It took over an hour and 1/2 for her to key in delivered which it never was. Our neighborhood is only 82 homes, very small and only 4 streets. This person obviously had no intention of delivering. She never tried calling us. This was the first time my daughter was going to try Chinese food. She was extremely upset. this mad it very difficult also considering it was now almost 2 hours later..Version: 5.0.0

Family Deal Not AvailableI drove to the restaurant, but there was a sign that they were no longer offering the family deal for $20 at the restaurant. Manager made me drive around and order from the app or online while in the parking lot. Then I advised to workers that were taking out the track that neither the app or online were offering the family deal. She recommend I try to call their corporate office. EXCUSE ME!!! That’s not my problem, that’s a Panda problem. So I drove back through the drive thru and asked to speak to the manager. They had me wait at the window while she was on the phone and then when she came to the window she said they had to reset the app and the options online. I closed the app on my phone, reopened it and voila, guess what the option was added. Unfortunately, instead of the manager taking my order at that time as a courtesy for the inconvenience, she told to go back around to the parking lot, place my order on the app and wait for the time given for it to be ready. 30 minute wait. In the meantime, I watched a countless number of cars drive in and out of the panda drive thru. This experience sucked!!!.Version: 2.15

App has wrong addresses and terrible customer supportThe app has the wrong address in some of the spots taking me to the wrong place and when I called customer support and the restaurant it did not even ring just went no body is available to talkie your call when the restaurant is still open and customer support was worse being their music and things they had just made me more angry at the fact that when I ordered it sent it to the wrong address and the fact that they took my money and won’t take calls from anywhere I also tried logging in to the app and it won’t even let me log in and attempt to cancel the order Don’t order from Panda Express they take your money and run. Go somewhere else likely that has better food.Version: 5.0.2

Love Panda Express, but the system…The costumer service and the app themselves I would rate at least a 4. But the system they set up is weird. Twice now I put for a pick up “ASAP”. I wait in my car for ten minutes then go in to see if my food is ready. But apparently the app tells the workers that the order is made for 15 mins later then when I walk in. I’m guessing 30 mins from when I made the order. That wouldn’t really be a problem if they could just make my food then since no one is there. But they can’t because the app hasn’t released the order. So they don’t know what I order and can’t confirm I paid. Ok. So let me cancel so I can order normally… nope. Cant do that either. Can’t use gift cardsUpdate: I’ve been emailing a customer service rep named Sarah, I’ve explained my situation multiple times via email/Pandas ticketing system and she for some reason can’t seem to understand that Pandas gift card function doesn’t actually work on the app or the website. I don’t know what’s more upsetting, the fact that Pandas mobile ordering system doesn’t accept gift card or the reps lack of comprehension. It’s very frustrating and has become a big waste of time. I would’ve chosen to eat here on several occasions because I have a gift card but your app won’t apply the gift card to your total. I’ve tried both the browser based website and the app. Super annoying and I really have no desire to use this gift card..Version: 4.0.0

They tried to scam me!I was buying food for my office team, but when I realized it would take an hour to get ready I decided not to order and cancel. I never hit confirm. A few hours later I get notified I have a pending charge on my card of $170 (what I was buying was less then 50). I called the local restaurant that I ordered the food from and the manager couldn’t find a transaction or where this was coming from. I then called corporate where they could not explain to me where or why I got this charge. He almost acted like it was very normal. Even after I confirmed and double check to make sure I’d never actually finalized the order. Needles to say I am astonished that such a well known large establishment could 1.) “accidentally” take this much money from my account without me ever actually placing the order 2.) acting like it wasn’t a big deal..Version: 2.2

Clumsy and untestedIf you want to learn how NOT to make an app, here’s your reference. It constantly deletes your “bag” and locks out options (such as choose drink). I suppose you could put “no ice” in the special instructions, because they’ll likely ignore it anyway. No option to get chopsticks. If your address isn’t in their database, you’re out of luck, and I guess they’ll just abandon your lunch in the lobby of your office building or apartment complex if you have a number to add to the street address. There seems to be a spot for buzzer instructions as you type a partial address, but that locks (or completely disappears) once you select whatever their database sticks you with. Who cares about free delivery if your order never makes it to you?.Version: 5.1.11

Not a good appThe first 2 times I used the app to get reward points added to my account the app really worked great. Yesterday I went into a Panda in the evening time to use the app, I kept getting weird messages like you can only use 1 coupon at a time which that was all I was using. I checked the cart to make sure I didn’t apply any other coupons. Then I turned my phone off a few times and it seemed like it would work but it would not. The third time it just kept loading and circling but not even the part to just get points was working. The app just froze up , I asked the employees on how to to use the app they were not helpful either. So I ended just paying more and leaving. Awful Mobile Order System!!!Panda Express’s mobile ordering system is terrible. It’s great as long as they have everything you ordered available, but if they are out of an item there is no way for them to contact you and let you know that they can not fufill your order; which is crazy because the app makes you enter your phone number every time you place an order. But according to the employees your phone number is not passed on to the local store when they receive the order. Then the ordering system charges your credit card anyway and the local store has no way to refund your money. You have to contact Panda’s corporate office and explain the issue and then wait for them to review and approve your refund..Version: 5.0.0

Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.At the Lima rd restaurant in Fort Wayne Indiana as I write this review. My confirmed order was supposed to be ready for a 6:10 pm pickup. I arrived at 6:11. Took 6 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me even though I was the only one in the Online Ordering pickup line. When I finally got waited on, my online order wasn’t found. I was told it wasn’t their fault and I needed to produce a receipt. After retrieving my phone from my car, I returned to the Online Ordering line. Again, waited over five minutes without any staff (including the cashier) acknowledging my presence. I finally asked the cashier if she could check on my order. She fetched another employee. I showed him my phone order and he did fill the order. Ended up waiting a total of 25 minutes after my scheduled pick up time for my order to be ready. No apologies. Horrible customer service with all staffsI often order from this store and every time I come to this place I am always disgusted at the level of service that they DO NOT give you here. Every time I go in they do not greet you, smile, or even look at you. Even the manager was there and doesn’t greet or acknowledge me, and he even looked right at me , and NOTHING! Many times I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and I will smile and say hello, say please and thank you and I do not get any reply back. Also they don’t seem to get my order right. By the time I get home they always seem to have something wrong with one or all of the order If it wasn’t for the convenience I would never come back and believe me I spend a lot of money into this establishment. Approximately pick up timesApproximately pick up times are horrible if you are setting up a pick up time it’s for a specific reason. I had placed an order and I had arrived to the restaurant way before my pick up time however I had seen a bad just sitting there for the whole time that I was sitting there waiting. When a minute before the pick up time comes around I go up to the door and wait and I told them my name and they gave me the bag that was sitting there for at least 15min I let it slide next time around same thing happens not to mention that it’s sitting there and food gets cold so then I ordered and got there 7 min after I placed the ordered and then they are telling me that the order won’t be ready until that certain time well then I told them to please let me know because I don’t want cold food... mind you that it’s the same store they need to be more consistent.Version: 2.18

AggravatingOne of the people who work there wouldn’t give me sweet & sour sauce. I got an order of 6 egg rolls, and asked for the sauce. She hands me 4 packets. I tell I’ve got 6 egg rolls. So, she gives me 4 more. Then I’m like listen, it takes 2 packets at least, for each egg roll. Then she tells me “we got in trouble, for handling too many out”. I tell her I’m pretty sure, that if someone’s specifically telling you they need more it’s fine. Nope, she still refused! So, I ask to speak with a manager. She says the manager isn’t there, and asked if I’d like to speak with someone else. I say yes. She comes, and before I can say anything hands me some more sweet & sour sauce. How f’n aggravating. Skip this app/ just wait in lineI mean overall it’s a okay app right but you place your order and it takes forever for it to arrive. I went into the restaurant just 10 mins before it was due and the restaurant staff didn’t care if I showed mobile receipt or order number “as long as it hasn’t appeared on my end I can’t do anything about it “ and i had to wait for my order to appear on their screen . Dissatisfied CustomerWent to order the family meal to go online and went to pick up at 54 and Little where they have two separate lines one for order pick up and one for immediate orders. The pick up line had 10 people and not moving for an hour. I wAited that long because I was early and thinking I’d get my food. I didn’t wait anymore to get it. No one was moving. They were making orders for people that weren’t waiting in line. The two people ahead of me were waiting over an hour. They were busy inside but not handing out the food to the people that were there. I did not pick up my food. I couldn’t get someone to come over to the immediate order side to cancel my order. So I left. I’ve called 4x to cancel. No answer. A manager should have come out and said what was going on. Either they had a huge order to fulfill and they were backed up and someone should have come outside to say something. No communication at all. I understand things are different in the world now but customer service should not have changed..Version: 2.15

What the...?Just ate my food. Yuk and yuk. First off, I mobile ordered and for the second time out of two times I’ve done this, my order was not ready. Not only was it not ready, the ticket was still in the machine. There was one other customer in the place so I don’t know what the issue was. Incredibly frustratingThe app visually looks good and well put together. That’s it’s only plus. It’s hard to add a payment method, it insisted the card number for most of my cards is not right despite my own triple checking. I found a single card that works and proceeded to order. Only six entree options were listed, if the rest were there they were not easy to find- I searched for a while. If they were the only ones listed because they were out of the others I’m annoyed because I would’ve chosen to wait and order something else when it was ready. After ordering we had to wait fifteen minutes for the order to even be processed BEFORE they’d make it for us. I won’t use it again.It’s a great concept. He walk in and pick up your food you can leave. I stood there for five minutes after I said it was supposed to be done. No one asked my name. I continue to watch and saw that what appeared to be my food was sitting there at the end of the line, not under any heat lamps or anything. And after seven minutes someone finally checked to see what the name of it was and it was mine. I said do you mean to tell me that my food has been sitting there for more than seven minutes. I didn’t think I was being evil when I strongly suggested that they can give me fresh food. The food had been sitting there prior to my coming in. Lack of caringLet me start off by saying how much I do appreciate panda express being open during these uncertain times, with that being said I’ve got to say that for the prices they charge they certainly try to short you as much as possible. I have gotten the same thing every time ever since panda express opened in Michigan city and I’ve never had an issue until they have done the carry out orders only. I order a large orange chicken only and when I brought it to the point of them not filling it up the whole way I always get an excuse or they try to explain to me they only fill it up to the line which is OK if that’s what was happening but that’s not what was happening and I’ve pointed out multiple times and yet I still get treated like I don’t know what I’m talking about or that I am wrong. I’m not very appreciative of the disrespect or lack of caring about making sure that the container is simply filled to where they say it should be to begin with. For the pricing that panda express charges I can certainly receive better quality and quantity both from the food and the customer appreciation elsewhere. Very disappointed to say the least. Don’t bother with the appThis app is useless; let me tell you why. I ordered lunch for pickup at a specific time. The app knows what dishes the store typically serves, but it doesn’t know if they will have it available. So I show up to pickup my food right on time, and it’s not ready because they don’t have the dish I ordered prepared yet. Every other dish is there sitting in their heating trays except for the one I ordered. So I have to sit there for 20 minutes waiting for it to be finished when in any other circumstance I would have just gotten something else. Not to mention that they prepared the rest of my order and let it sit in the box getting cold while I waited for my other dish. Don’t waste your time like I did, avoid the app..Version: 3.2.2

Poorly designed and nonfunctionalThis app has way more stars than it deserves. I don’t know how so many people are satisfied with this completely unusable app. I cannot order anything because every time I initiate an order by setting the pickup time and place, it just loads for a long time before telling me the order could not be placed. The loading times for anything in this app are nonsensical and absurd. I have to force quit the app then open it again to start over and hopefully it doesn’t get stuck on a loading screen again. Why the hell does it take so long to continue as guest? Like wth is it processing for so long to get past the initial screen? I can’t fast log in because autofilling the email always enters my password (which is fully visible i.e. security issue) instead of my email. Even when I have the cursor on the password field, autofilling it will replace my manually entered email with my password (again, it is visible) and still leave the password field blank. Also the map to find your location almost never works and also takes forever to load. This app has all the same terrible problems as their website too. Unbelievable that they screwed up such an important part of what could have been an excellent addition to their business model both on desktop and mobile..Version: 2.5

DO NOT USE THE APP, ORDER WITHOUT IT!Wow. To start off, my order was messed up by the store so I had to call and they gave me store credit. They would’t cover my delivery fee which was absurd, I paid to have it delivered. ANYWAYS, I try to reorder on the app and it says the order couldn’t be placed because now it would be ready at a later time which was fine but it still wouldn’t go through. If you read other reviews, others have the same experience. I kept having that issue no matter what I tried on the app, so I finally went on my laptop and just ordered from their website. That’s how I ordered the first time. Tell me why, 4 ORDERS WERE MADE. 3 were from the unsuccessful attempts on the app, and 1 successful try from the website. I got three orders and then ANOTHER ONE WAS ON THE WAY. Thankfully that one was cancelled, someone must’ve figured out what happened. I didn’t call the store, pretty sure it wasn’t their fault. And during these uncertain times, I am sure there is no one to call. But yea spending so much money on Panda was not in my plans today. Worst ordering app I've everThis app is really impossible. Every time I sign in and try to place an order half of the food items are missing. Not items that might just not be in stock, but things like rice. I just placed an order at my favorite location and couldn't choose fried rice, white rice, or the noodles. That's ridiculous. yesterday I tried to place an order, and it only showed two items available at my location. Just two items. White rice and broccoli. Nothing else available in the entire store. Updating my review, making it even worse. Today I tried to order using a coupon I had gotten for a free egg roll. But the app says my store has no eggrolls. The option isn't even there to order one. Of course they do have eggrolls. i'm shocked at how bad this app is.Version: 4.2.0

Fair but buggyThe app is fairly well thought out, but several times it’s given me an error when I try to submit my order. No rhyme or reason. This creates a problem when, say, the only way to take advantage of a special is to order online. Also, what makes the app insufficient is mainly what’s missing. One is the option to pay cash at the restaurant. Also, while there’s an “I’m running late” button, there’s no “They’re running late” button. In fact, there’s no apparent resolution mechanism for when you’re waiting there, say, 10+ minutes past your pickup time, which seems to happen a lot at my local Panda. So, they’re happy to take your money but not so anxious to resolve any hiccups..Version: 2.18

TerribllePanda Express uses DoorDash to deliver their orders. Several times I sat for over an hour waiting on my food to never have received the order. When I first started ordering outside of Uber Eats I was excited because the food came fast and to my door. That feeling was short lived because Dashers don’t check the address; they just care for a check. They don’t care if the customer gets their food which I’ve experienced twice. The Dasher delivered to the wrong address and said it was delivered. Then when customer service reached out to them to see if they’d correct their mistake, they said they were too far. I just ordered my food and and the Dasher delivered to the wrong address again! They put in an order for redelivery and they turned around and canceled that. Because my son is ill I I ordered again. I don’t want to take him outside. This is so disappointing and disgusting how paying customers are being treated. We order food and expect a decent delivery time to possibly not even get the food. I really wish Panda Express and DoorDash really cared about their customers..Version: 4.2.5

Good but needs improvementI appreciate the fact that panda finally has an app that I can order through. I also really like the delivery option and that there’s not crazy fee’s. My complaints would be that I wish there was some type of reward system, similar to ones many other places provide to incentivize people to actually use the app. The only real issue I’ve had with the app as it is now is that I’ve tried to order particular entrees on the app and they were unavailable, but then I go into the establishment and see that they do in fact have that item..Version: 4.2.0

Useless for CanadiansVery frustrating on both App & website. Using the app keeps taking you to the website when you try to proceed with the order it keeps taking you back to the beginning. I was also on an email list and got a notification about crispy almond crunch chicken with a code. Try to use it didn’t work and I also couldn’t find the crispy almond crunch chicken on the menu on the website or the app.So I called my closest location and was told they did not have crispy almond crunch chicken and I called the next closest location same story apparently it’s only American. So Panda Express needs to set up an app for Canadian customers. I will be deleting my app because I live in Canada it’s useless to me. Easy to navigate app but gives incorrect informationI signed up for the app for the first time. And there was some confusion with getting my order. So I do not go by my first name. I go by my middle name. Therefore, I signed up for the app with my middle name. However, when I placed the order with my credit card, it says next to the expected time to pick up my order, “head to the register and tell them mobile order ready for (my first name). I figure okay I guess my order will be under my legal name since it was paid with my card. My family and I get there and the employees can’t find it for the longest time. We tell them it might be under my middle name then. They are skeptical but we eventually get my order which WAS under my middle name. Why does the app say to ask for it under my legal first name if that is not what the order is under?? So confusing. Honestly just don’t include that phrase to “head to the register and tell them mobile order ready for ____” if that is inaccurate. Forced me to leave a review, so here are my thoughtsNot that I think your organization has any ability to effectively communicate to its employees or workers or management from corporate, but the location on los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo is disgustingly under employed. And therefore, poorly run. There’s a clear disconnect between management and the workers, when I went there was a line out of the door and only 4 total people working, including the ones in the kitchen. I ordered online and waited an hour for my food because they were so swamped they couldn’t look up to see that an online order came through, and I watched this poor teenage girl get yelled at by angry hungry customers for things that clearly weren’t her fault. Also like, app interface is terrible, why aren’t there points or like any kind of rewards incentivizing people to use the app? Get with it and stop asking me to pay you back for donating to the kid’s foundation. You already paid, stop lying to people and telling them they are donations are going to the kids when really they’re going into your pockets..Version: 4.2.10

I was hoping things changedWhen we moved here 7 years ago, this was the best Panda I had ever eaten at. Consistent excellent food, great customer service, clean restaurant. 2020 Covid hit & they changed managers. It became the very worst Panda ever,17 wrong orders in a row, horrible attitudes. A few weeks ago I gave it the first chance in over a year. New management, food was great, order was correct-I had really high hopes. Last order, 3rd entree was forgotten entirely. The young woman I spoke with said “yeah, it happens-bring the receipt & we will replace the 3rd entree on your next meal”. On my way to try once more, really hoping upper management was listening about the previous management because their loss of income had to have been drastic & last time was just a one-off. When done right their food is good, their location convenient & the young man I spoke with the visit before last exemplified a great manager with excellent people skills..Version: 4.2.0

Prevents delivery for my entire areaI would be happy to use the app and rewards program that goes with it, but because the delivery feature outright prevents me from choosing the location which does the delivering, the app defaults to the closest Panda location- a store located on a nearby college campus which is only open three and a half hours per day, only on weekdays, around lunchtime. When the store is closed- which is almost every hour of every day- the app attempts to force me to arrange a delivery on some future day, instead of allowing me to get a delivery from one of the other locations in our area, one of which is not even a full mile further away. The previous Panda Express app never did this to me, but I don’t know if that’s because the app was just better designed or because the location had not opened yet. The entire issue could be resolved if they had the app to check if another location within delivery radius was open when the closest is closed, but as it stands the app has essentially forced me to either use third party or shop elsewhere if I want delivery..Version: 5.0.1

Pick Time isn’t Pick Up TimeMy app tells me the pick up time is 8:15, so I arrive a few minutes early (the Panda in my town is NEVER busy). I realize I may have to wait for them to get it ready. However when I pull to the window they tell me they haven’t received my order and they won’t receive it until the time on the app, which clearly says “pick up time”. I use restaurant apps often and I know that some don’t start the order until you arrive or until you pay. I know they are all different, but if your app says it’s the pick up time, the order should be ready that, now just received by the restaurant..Version: 3.10.0
