X-Stitch App for Negative User Reviews

Missing DMC Cotton thread numbersI am making an inventory of my DMC and find your app to be missing DMC Cotton 951, DMC Cotton 3862, and DMC Cotton 3852. I have yet to finish and am concerned that I’ll find more that are missing from the apps available threads to pick. I’ll update my review if there are more missing. Please add them!.Version: 2.5

BlankI have taken hours inputting my threads and after update my whole inventory is blank. Not happy. Yet on my front page it will say how many threads I have.Version: 2.5

Using.I find it hard to post dates of beginning and ending. It is not a very user friendly app..Version: 2.5

ProblèmeImpossible de retrouver mes données après une mise à jour.Version: 3.0

Very temperamental appIt’s a useful app with great potential but it is missing colours (such as DMC 3726) and so you can’t add all your floss. Also, it is buggy. When you put in a floss number, it randomly comes up with Tin White so you end up adding the wrong floss colour. It also randomly doesn’t recognise colours - sometimes you can add a floss colour, sometimes it won’t find it in the search to add it..Version: 2.5

Lost Data!I used to love this app. Last time I went to use it however, all my data was gone. That makes it a very unreliable way to keep track of projects, inventory and shopping lists. Very disappointing, to say the least..Version: 2.3

Not impressedI wanted the app mainly to keep track of all my supplies. While I was putting in my DMC numbers the app would show the correct color, then change to another number and color once I hit save..Version: 2.3

Works wellSo far I'm having no problems with this app. I have another one where I would input all my thread and go back to it, and the inventory had disappeared. So far this is not the case. I like the idea of when you add a thread to your inventory, it takes it out of the main list of threads. One thing I'm not fond of is the combination of threads....3000s are grouped in with 300s. I would rather have them separate. Haven't used the other features yet..Version: 1.8

Need option to add multiple threads at one time to inventoryI admit, I don’t use the app to its fullest potential yet. I use it mostly for the thread inventory so I’m not standing in the aisle of the craft store wondering “do I have that color?” As I’ve been building my thread inventory, it has been frustrating and tedious having to add each DMC color individually, one at a time. It would be great to have the option to tap on multiple DMC numbers at once and have them all added to my inventory at the same time..Version: 2.3

Very disappointedI’m pretty disappointed that I spent my money on that app. I mainly purchased this app to track my thread inventory but there are colors missing and adding each color individually is a huge hassle..Version: 2.6

No data availableI loved this app until today when all of my data went missing. It doesn’t show any of my threads or journal entries and only linen from one supplier. If I didn’t have this problem, I would have given it 5 stars..Version: 2.6

Waste of MoneyTerrible app. Doesn’t give the option to add a designer by free text, which means you are limited to the list the “app designer” has chosen. Which is useless if you buy smaller designed patterns from Etsy. The search function for threads is glitchy, resulting in multiple additions of the same thread number. Will be deleting the app and going back to a free one that is infinitely better..Version: 2.6

Pros & Cons - X-Stitch AppIt's a great way to catalog your finishes which it what interested me most about the app. Adding in my projects, finished or in progress is easy peasy. As for tracking inventory - it's ok. Once you add a designer to your chart inventory it's simple enough to add additional charts under that particular designer. Adding threads is cumbersome at best and I can't bothered with that hassle. What I would like to see is an option to delete designers you don't want/have in your collection and the same for threads. There are far too many designers and threads in those lists that I find scrolling down my screen to be tedious and annoying. Additionally, I'd love to see an option to categorize your charts. For example: I'd love to be able to see at a glance what Halloween charts I have on hand. Also I'd like to be able to filter my finishes - by year or by designer - instead of just one long list alphabetized by design name. It's not a bad app, but there's potential to be so much better. I'd love to see more customization as to what items (designers, threads, linens) appear. Because of this inability to delete items that are not applicable to me, I don't see me using it much beyond a journal of my finished projects and inventory of my charts. Is it worth $2.99 price tag? Not quite. I'd gladly pay that and a little more if the features I've referenced were integrated into the app..Version: 2.3

Just use excel insteadI did a lot of research to see what a good cross stitch iOS app was, and this one was mentioned multiple places. Trusting that and the numerous 5 star reviews, I paid to download this app. Its nothing like I expected, and honestly unusable to me. Possibly there was a recent update that caused a lot of bugs? But it seems more like it’s not been updated in a good long while - it’s on me if I missed that. Moving between screens is slow, and sometimes almost impossible as the bottom navigation buttons are the same color as the main screen. Adding thread is time consuming, if there’s a way to bulk upload, it’s well hidden. After adding something to my journal, I discovered that the background isn’t solid or consistent at all - anywhere you enter info is subject to your light/dark mode settings. Just the background though, the text color doesn’t change at all making it impossible to read anything you enter. Thankfully it was only $3, because it’s worth less to me than the free thread tracker excel file I got offline..Version: 2.8

EditKeeping a log of all my started and finished pieces and opened the app and everything had disappeared. Thankfully I use pencil and paper as well so all is not lost. Would never invest in this app again.Version: 2.6

TemperamentalTrying to add flosses to my inventory and it seems to be obsessed with colour 21 light Alazarin , nearly every one I try to add comes up with this colour when trying to save ..Version: 2.5

Great app just needs a little tweakingLove the app I have all my fabric and thread organised and have journaled all my current WIPs. Would like to see the ability to add your own designer/thread/fabric as I have special edition threads that do not appear in the normal lists also needs a list for beads.Version: 2.3

Some difficultiesI had a difficult time putting floss in the inventory. Frequently it would go to tin 1 or tin 2. Sometimes as much as ten times I would have to try over and over to put the actual number of the floss in. Rarely did it go directly to the number I picked to enter the number if skeins I own. Another problem is if you purchase an old kit, there might not be a designer, or producer of the kit and then you can not continue as you have to put a designer. If gives you a whole list that you MUST select from, but you just can not. So I give credit to the floss sellers just to get it entered. The third problem I have found I have a hard time entering the start or end date. It says to tap to select. Well it does not, I even had my husband try, and the date it enter was 2019 and he had 2017 selected. Not too sure I will continue using. Additional problems I noted is you can record what you have in floss but it does not tell you what numbers you do not have, and add to the shopping basket. I have no clue what I am missing and that was the whole reason for getting..Version: 2.3

Wish the site was more user friendlyI started to journal my first finished piece on the Xstitch app. First problem was that the designer was not on the prepared list and I could not edit or add one. I couldn't even save what I had until I put something in the space. My next issue was adding my new project. Again, designer wasn't listed and name of pattern was not on the list.((.Version: 2.3

Could be betterHave used this app for years. I have emailed developers re adding new threads but still not added. I would also like to move threads from inventory to journal once a chart is ‘kitted up’ and the threads could be allocated - ie 2 number 310 DMC allocated to such and such a chart Like I said - it’s ok and I use it to keep inventory but could be so much better x.Version: 2.5

DifficultiesApp worked great at the beginning but without any notice, it has now frozen. Can’t make any corrections or additions. I had recommended it to friends but no more..Version: 2.8

Waste of money. The idea behind this app is great but the app itself is garbage. The journal only allows start and end date, no journalling at all for example how long you stitch a project on a day etc. trying to add floss to your list is a pain. I understand you have to add each one individually but when you search for a floss number and hit to add some other number gets added instead. It doesn’t allow multiple designations for floss, for example multiple wips with the same floss. Not happy at all..Version: 2.5

Good potential but limitations are frustratingHas potential BUT needs to let the user add /type in their own items Many threads, fabrics etc are not listed so it only lets me inventory portions of my collection. Disappointed, should allow some additions by the user. The cloud upload is great, but .....the more I use it the more disappointed I am..Version: 2.1.2

Inconsistent loadingThere are times when nothing will load- after adding hundreds of threads, I cannot access the list. It only says My Inventory !.Version: 2.6
