✓ Don’t be fooled...Don’t be fooled by this games good graphics. That is the only thing it has going for it. Otherwise, not much going on. Unless you spend some serious money, you won’t get too far with the Titans. People on much higher levels will maraud you into poverty. Most troops become obsolete after a while and the only reason they’re even there is so you have something to spend your resources on while you wait forever to be able to upgrade things. But the absolute worst thing about this game is the company’s TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have no idea how to help people; take forever with responses, and when you get them, they basically bring you into an unstoppable ring of circular thinking. My brother and I play this game together, and he had an update on his phone and lost his profile. Mind you, he liked this game way more than I did, so he actually attempted to get his profile back. When he asked “how can I re-access my account?” The company replied “in order to access the account, you need to provide us information you can only receive by being able to access the account.” If he could do that, he wouldn’t be talking to these incompetent people. ✓ Good game! Not without its flaws thoThis is a really good RTS game that’s always being updated, has some good options and animations; there is some joy to be had. I’m still playing after 2yrs and I’ve reached the limits of the upgrades and explored all it has to offer. However, you need to spend a lot of time dedicated to getting anywhere. Titans take months to max out and actually be of any use. There are in game purchases that offer a “chance” at getting some good kit or characters, but those chances are insanely slim and it never pays off. Weekly events can reap some good stuff, but you genuinely have to play almost every hour, all weekend to gain any of the proper rewards. The reward system only really rewards the already powerful, and doesn’t give anyone else a shout. I was denied 3,000 gems in the game for event I participated in, and when I addressed it with them, then they started out by flat out lying to me as the reasoning for why I was denied this team reward. When I demanded specific information to prove that point, then they not even kidding stated “As we have replied to your ticket in as much detail as we can, we might not respond to further messages around this topic” despite the fact they never addressed the specific question I repeatedly demanded they answer. Now, to put this into context, the amount of 3,000 gems I should have received is roughly equivalent to $7.50 based on the cost of 2,000 gems for $4.99. So is it a huge deal? No. But I have never sat back and allowed a company to screw me out of $7 for no reason whatsoever. I have gone back and forth with them on this issue, and they refuse to fix it. ✓ Good game but...The tech support for when the game robs you of gems or a reward is flat out awful, it’s like talking to a robot that just wants to blame glitches on the player. Since I started playing way back the in app purchases have become more and more pushed, with events or certain titans costing ridiculous amounts of gems to try and get or complete. Troop upgrades are meaningless when titan-only builds only depend on Titans level, not the players, and can decimate top level players that have built and invested over years. The reason for the 1* is due to the worst in game support of any mobile app I have played. I have never found them to be anything other than incompetent, they never sort out anything for the benefit of the player, make a complaint and you get the standard company drivel and your issue remains unresolved. If you are going to play this do so without spending money, the game has many ways to con you out of gems, from reload errors to buttons without spending confirmation in the temple. It will ask you if are are sure you want to spend 20 gems on speeding a build, but will happily take 8k gems for the titan chance (0.5% of anything decent) from the temple. If you want to stand a chance at being a top player, there is no such thing as working your way up to it. By the time that you upgrade the titan that you got 6 months ago, it’s obsolete and will get destroyed by anyone. The game developers created a feature called “anchorage” that is a great tool for lower level players to use and protect themselves from higher level players. By disabling this feature, the higher level players are able to take everything and anything away from lower level players whenever they want. Not having an “anchorage” feature allows higher level players/the bullies have free reign in this game. The lower level players can do nothing to protect themselves from these bullies. ✓ Diabolical DevelopersHave been playing for about 2 years now and have absolutely nothing positive whatsoever to say about the developer team. Their attitude with players/customers is appalling. They don’t read or listen to feedback from players and simply copy and paste the same old response, something along the lines of “thanks, we’ll pass this to our development team”, but think any feedback is simply ignored. The game is still riddled with issues the developers have known about for a long time but do nothing whatsoever about them. Any bonuses players may have previously received have been reduced while the totals needed to complete events has nearly doubled pushing the better rewards well out of reach of players not willing to spend hundreds of pounds/dollars each week. The events are now beyond BORING and are simply trotted out each week to make the GREEDY developers more money which is more than evident their only motive rather than making their player base happy. But in dawn of titans, to compete at any level you need to play events which cost £50-£100 a pop and they have 1-2 a week. You can save up tokens and play one every few months but you’ll struggle to stay competitively relevant. In addition, the rewards become obsolete after 6-12 months. All development resource is piled into these events, the bugs that have there for ages never get fixed. Support ignores players with templated messages. It’s just got worse with time. ✓ Unbelievable GreedHave being playing this for quite some time now (lvl 33 players). During this time, there has being some big changes, unfortunately almost all for the bad. Huge bug issues in the game, but rather than being fixed are just being added to by new money making ideas. For a lot of players, the only way to get 4* titans was during event as the 4* leagues tend to be full of hacker teams. When I first started the events tended to be around 10-11k souls to finish. With bonus’s to certain titans up to 1.5x bonus. This took quite a considerable amount of time at this amount unless you gemed, bought event tokens with rl cash. Now it varies from 18k to a utterly ridiculous 30k. With the bonus dropped to 1.2 max. They also used to have guaranteed 3* tokens towards the end of the event to help which I haven’t seen in at least 6 months. The Devs show utter contempt for the honest players as in a lot of cases only cheats and hackers can now complete this unless your willing to spend a huge amount of cash. But in a game that’s about building up strength through resources, it’s frustrating to be raided over and over and over again - up to 100 times in a day, several days in row - by much higher level players. Their level makes it impossible to take revenge, so it just means as a lower level player you don’t advance. I have no issues with being attacked - that’s part of the gameplay - but other games set a minimum level around attacking that goes up as you advance. ✓ Decent gameI have enjoyed this for a few months now. Overall, I don’t feel like this is a bad ap, but there are a few small issues I have. The first being is they make it too obvious that their bots are playing in the challenges. I looked at one this week that I started playing in within the first few hours of it starting. Their bot already had over 80K points. I play quite a bit and I am lucky to have a few thousand by the end of it. So first request-turn off your bots, or at least make it less obvious that we have no hope of ever beating events-r-us or the rest of the grouping that is always at the top. The second request is that some better of the event multipliers be a little less hard to get. So frequently I get the lowest level. I know you’re doing this to push us to spend tons of money, but in a reasonable world I pay you a fixed amount, play the game I bought and we are all happy. You receive gems from quests however there are extremely limited amounts of quests and the quests typically reward 20-50 gems things in the shop cost 2000+ gems. It is impossible to get the higher tier items in the events without buying massive amounts of gems. People with deep pockets easily dominant and there is nothing stopping lvl 50+ from attacking lvl10 and under to try and keep them from advancing. Typically when you reach lvl 12-13 you get stuck because everything costs 100k+ gold to upgrade your gold stores max at those levels at around 125k and everyone is raiding you because they are in the same rut making it near impossible to store enough to build something. Billing issues such as cant pay and put you in a cycle you cant get out of unless reboot. Alliances which you target self adjust and take themselves off screen so you have to search again . And not enough is being done to examine players who have hacked or cheated. Having castles smaller than the level of players they are playing with. The areas that we can improve on would make the game more playable and fun , for example we need to fix relic forging. ✓ Used to be decent. Now it’s a money grab before they close the doors.In order to be competitive, you must complete a majority of the events. Mainly for the relics and not the Titan. In order to complete events, you must spend money. There are ways to save up relic boosters over time and complete one event, but you’ll be missing a lot of important relics for your army. I just quit the game after maxing everything and realizing that a good defense is a pipe dream. They keep changing the meta and rendering relatively new titans obsolete within a month. Each Titan and their relics take a considerable amount of time to level. So it becomes incredibly frustrating when they introduce a new Titan a couple weeks later that can beat every defense. If you want to play this game as a time killer and don’t care about being competitive, then it’s a decent game. If you want to keep up to date on the always changing meta and spend a lot of money to do so, then this game is good. I just got tired of grinding out over 1k battles a week to be able to keep up. There are tactics in the combat it isn't just a brute force type thing where more and stronger units will ultimately win. There are many opportunities to outplay the ai opponents. People who spend actual money in the game have a HUGE advantage over people like my group who just grind through. We can’t even stand up for ourselves because these people are several lvls above us. Recruiting just does not exist for us to replenish our numbers. For leaders of alliances and their officers make new players more accessible to us. We need to recruit to keep ourselves going.
