Brilliant: Learn interactively for Positive User Reviews

Nothing really like it.This is much better then the education I got from public/catholic school. Coming from a native to Canada..Version: 6.4.3

Good experienceI was looking for entertainment and some app that could enhance my creativity. Found out this app and I’ve spent the last two days doing lessons and it was really interactive. Lessons are short and doesn’t take a lot of time. I would really recommend it to anyone who is looking for an app with something to learn from..Version: 6.0.2

Really fun, puts you in a flow stateI noticed recently that my daily life never involved anything harder than arithmetic problems and that I was forgetting common mathematical rules. I figured that in tandem with all the googling we do (I.e never memorizing things anymore), not having to work through mathematical and scientific problems would atrophy my potential for quality thinking. So I was looking for something I can do anywhere a few times a week to keep my analytical thinking sharp and Brilliant is actually really really fun because it’s just the right amount of challenging and that keeps you engaged and puts you in a very satisfying flow state..Version: 3.5.11

Wonderful but the price...My son was really enjoying this and I looked at parts and really approve, it’s how I try and think and learn. He said, but I can’t do anything more without a subscription, it’s $1.59 a year and I said well that actually sounds excellent! (The first time I’ve ever thought a subscription sounded value for money, actually cheap) but he was totally wrong. For the quality I’d even do $15, but seriously over a hundred dollars a year is completely insane. Wouldn’t it be better to have this spread everywhere over the world and people excited about it? Could you branch this off as a nonprofit part of your company even? It’s really sad that money makes something unavailable when it’s one of the few apps that teaches thinking that could help break someone out of poverty even....Version: 4.0.2

Well thought out learning appOf all the learning and subscription-based apps, this is the one that I would recommend to everyone. I rarely write reviews, but this is one of the things that I decided to take the time and effort to put in..Version: 6.5.0

Stimulating & effective learningHigh quality learning experience. The internet era requires us not just to absorb information but to become more adept at understanding & reasoning. This application has reacquainted me with my formal education but in a much more interesting way. The ability to read other people’s answers to questions can really help: an official explanation doesn’t work for you? Read some other takes, there may well be an alternative that makes the ‘penny drop’. Really enjoying learning again....Version: 3.3.3

I wish this was the way I was taught in high schoolVery comprehensive and introduces learning material in a way that is interactive and easy to understand. It would be good if there were more optional questions to try if you don’t understand the concept right away..Version: 4.0.1

Good but not perfectThere are some excellent explanations for beginners in this app but there is room for improvement . Some of the explanations take too much for granted in terms of the learners existing knowledge. This can lead to confusion on behalf of the learner when trying to work out the method of solving mathematical problems or puzzles. Overall though this is a great and refreshing new way to learn about mathematics and how to solve problems..Version: 4.1

Brought joy againYou guys are incredible. Thank you so much for this app, I’m relearning math as an adult, and if only they taught us this way in school … many thanks for your creation. Please continue adding content, maybe applied math for economics?.Version: 6.3.2

Amazing App! One RequestHello. I just downloaded your app and did part of one of the courses. I love this idea! I’ve always had a hard time understanding things like math and science, but I believe I’ll start understanding thing a lot more! I heard about this service from Mark Rober, a YouTuber that you sponsored in his latest video and I immediately downloaded this to try it. I have only one request to make, could you please bring Dark Mode to the app? I’m visually impaired and having Dark Mode would help me not strain as hard to read the text in your app. I read best with white text on black and I have an extremely hard time reading black text on white. Thank you for making this incredible app! I can’t wait to learn and understand more in the coming days, weeks, and months!.Version: 6.3.0

Monthly subscriptionIf it was pay monthly I would sign up to this in a heart beat..Version: 6.2.2

RestartingThis app is helping me reteach myself the knowledge that i have forgotten over the years, thank you.Version: 6.5.3

Worthwhile appDefinitely time better spent in this than mindless games, thanks for the app..Version: 3.1.6

Real problems to solve, but priceyI love this app as it has real problems to solve using logic or math or other mental skills. I love that it also offers an explanation and actually teaches how to get the correct answers. Other brain teaser apps that I’ve tried have answers that are loosely tied to the problem and either have multiple correct answers or leave you guessing for the right solution- this app leads you to one possible solution given the data provided in the problem. So you either get it right by understanding how to solve it, or you get it wrong and can try again or seek out the explanation. I am only on the free trial right now. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive..Version: 4.1

Super fun, challenging, and educationalThis may be my favorite app - for my kids and for me. There are a plethora of short lessons to choose from. They flow well amd are easy to understand through the interactive modules - some have recommended prerequisites, which is helpful so that you don’t jump into something you’re not ready for. The section on quantum physics actually broke it down in a way I could understand. The logic section is great. My favorite may be the math basics / history one, which is fascinating and starts with innovative ways the ancient mathematicians figured out complex math..Version: 6.3.2

I am learning a lot. 4.99/5!This app is amazing at teaching. My only criticism/feature suggestion would be a dark mode. I have been solving a lot of problems in bed as I go to sleep and when I wake up. It’d be nice to have the option to flip the colour scheme from white to black. Other than that I can’t complain and would recommend to anyone interested in the topics taught in courses on brilliant ..Version: 5.0.5

So close to 5 stars! Missing key featureTL;DR Brilliant, if you see this, please please please include the community wiki on mobile. If it weren’t for this I’d give it 5 stars. No joke, if they made EACH wiki topic downloadable for offline mobile use, I’d pay another $10/month. It’s an incredible feature that plays a huge role in my continued premium subscription. For those who don’t know where it is, it’s the last section on each topic under the practice tab for desktop. I really wish this was on mobile since I’m paying for premium. It’s very doable too since each page is just text/images, not intensive graphics. With phone storage increasing over the years I don’t think an 8 gig download would be unreasonable. iPhone 13 starts at 128gig storage… Besides this the app is great! I love brilliant and commend them for making difficult topics easier to tackle. My generation needs a solid foundation in STEM if we’re going to solve all these intricate world problems. Thank you brilliant for helping us get there (at our own pace) one step at a time..Version: 5.1.1

Stats need to be improvedAn awesome application to keep the brain sharp. However, it’d be great if the stats showed more interesting analytics. For example, it’d be cool if the questions user answered wrong were colored red and one could return to them, like in Manhattan GMAT app. Calendar is only available on desktop app, not on iPad. I will definitely rate this app 5 stars when the stats’ section is improved..Version: 6.3.2

Best game EverGreat app teaches you to use your brain and has good knowledge with some funny jokes in there too.Version: 3.1.9

Truly brilliantI am doing the Python set at the moment, and am finding that learning in bite-sized chunks suits me perfectly. The lessons/quizzes are well designed (with a few, forgivable, flaws) and almost more like playing games than working at learning something. This may be the way forward for all education, especially in these times of fear of being together in groups. The hardest thing about Brilliant is picking the right course for you, and, perhaps, entering at the right level if you have some prior knowledge in the subject area. For me, well worth the yearly subscription..Version: 4.1

Really a brilliant teaching toolThis is excellent, so clever and well thought out. Dropped a star only because I just wish it would be a tad more rewarding! It would be nice if it gave feedback about how you’re doing, the occasional pat on the back 😀 It often asks if you like the program, but nothing back! Also it is bad at losing where you have got to.Version: 6.3.2

AmazingThis app is amazing for consuming and understanding topics but I think it would be a good idea to add a good way to memorise them considering that this app is especially useful for people with ADHD. My suggestion is to add the option to make your own flash cards or have flash cards on each topic so it’s easier than having to go back and read it incase you forgot anything..Version: 7.2.2

Must have for anyone who wants to understand maths deeperExcellent app for anyone who loves maths, especially for sixth form students who want to understand what you've been taught in much more depth. Using Brilliant regularly will make maths at school much easier and will keep your enjoyment of maths alive as it is much more problem solving based rather than just doing questions from textbooks..Version: 2.1.9

Brilliant.I do find Brilliant exceptional. I can’t call myself a mathematician but I do like maths as a hobby these days. Brilliant has great exercises from an educational perspective and they seem to have an unlimited supply. I used to be part of a maths club but they did not have great quizzes and in the long run there was not a strong enough emphasis on learning for my liking..Version: 5.0.2

Heaps of fun!Great visualisations and easy to follow lessons..Version: 6.5.1

AwesomeThis is a super brilliant website to learn and develop ourselves..Version: 4.1

Daily challenges too repetitiveI enjoyed doing the daily challenges for a few weeks, but I've noticed after a couple of months that the new daily challenges have got extremely repetitive and are almost exact copies of other daily challenges that seem to repeat every few weeks, not teaching any new skills. It's a free and fun app, so I'm giving it a high rating anyway, but the developers really need to add more variety of content in the daily challenges to improve the app's longevity or users will simply stop using it..Version: 5.1.0

Definetly worth gettingI would definitely recommend this app (great job on the appearance of the app by the way. I like how simple it is.), because I love this style of learning. I have been using it for a few weeks now to understand Algebra concepts better, and it’s been working pretty well. I love how fun and interactive the quizzes are, and I love how you can just jump around and look at a whole load of different subjects without having to level up or something too. Now, I have given this review 4 stars though, because I find some of the explanations too complicated or lacking in clarity. Overall though, it’s a great learning tool, but for some of the subjects I feel it’s better to learn it the old fashioned way and then use Brilliant to really clarify your understanding and anchor down your skills once and for all!!!.Version: 3.4.2

BrilliantThought this bit was optional.Version: 3.5.12

Fun and easy to learnThe app and desktop platforms work and sync well together. The content on the courses suits my needs (foundational maths) and the visual style of learning has thus far proved very effective. The lessons are quite quick so I have found making notes to go over is helping with content sticking with me rather than understanding and then forgetting..Version: 7.0.4

OM and the GIt seems like a very comprehensive app that tries to explain some very complex ideas in an approachable way, but I’m sorry, I just found it too hard for me. I enjoyed the logic problems, but the other areas it covers go way over my head. Mind you, this is coming from someone for who the most important questions of the day are, ‘How long should you a green tea with orange and lotus blossom to brew before you the bag out?’.Version: 4.0.1

AmazingA wonderful app to learn some really interesting things. Created with fantastic illustrations – both the graphical and written kind. I was more than happy to pay for this and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning the subject matter on any level. Edit: A few weeks on, I have to add that this is the best learning app I have ever used. No app has ever done a better job of exploring concepts and then asking you to complete problems but then explaining what you have done wrong ... in a way that is truly understandable and actionable. It’s absolutely stunning..Version: 4.1.5

Insert unoriginal titleThis stuff is brilliant, like I’m sure many others have commented on. I am a late diagnosed autistic adult with adhd and needless to say, I stopped learning maths after division and hated it. Failed every year I started the foundational maths course and I’m actually looking forward to my lessons. I think my level of maths is too poor even for the foundation level, but I’m holding on and it’s making the concepts really simple to visualise, even for someone with aphantasia who seriously struggles to think of abstract concepts. I look forward to exploring all the rest of the courses on offer, which are indeed many. Like, MANY many. For someone looking to cross the barrier into STEM as an adult who was failed by the education system, or even anyone who just wants to start learning something new, this is a great way to keep your brain in tiptop shape. Cannot recommend enough and actually do recommend to anyone that will listen!.Version: 7.1.3

Steep price but free stuff is still goodThere can also be an assumed level of syntactical and symbology understanding in some modules. You might encounter a symbol used that you don’t know and isn’t explained. Otherwise I’m really enjoying the range of content and also how well it is all collected together in an easy to access and modular fashion. Great stuff. Shame that paid subscription price is so high though..Version: 3.4.4

Fighting senescenceThe sad aspect of parts of this app is coming across topics, and quite a few of them at that, which I’d forgotten until I recognised them again. So I think it helps in keeping memory ticking over rather than withering away. The fact is that anything which staves off the inevitable has to be good..Version: 5.0.5

Brilliant is better then most apps, however…Brilliant is a good app. You can learn easily, fast, and it’s not that expensive. However, a MAJOR issue is the learning path. Let’s say your in grade 8. It literally shows calculus, and other advanced stuff. So i really suggest you to make a path. A path where you can do learning, which is for your age. Everything else, is very good..Version: 6.6.5

GamerNothing against mobile games, I have played a LOT of them over the years. I’ve recently switched to “games” that provide more mental exercises. Brilliant does a great job of teasing you with problem solving concepts through puzzles. I can’t seem to bring myself to go premium due to the high price tag and knowing that I cannot get my monies worth without being on the app more frequently. So, the daily free puzzles will do for now. Also, I’d like to think of myself as a self starter, and if I’m truly going to invest in learning a topic, I wouldn’t rely on on app to get me along. So, this to reduces the likelihood that a premium membership is worth the price to me. This is just my opinion, as I do appreciate the work and effort that goes into this service, and would likely go premium if it were less expensive..Version: 4.1.7

Incredible!Brilliant is amazing!!! I’m going into high school and advanced science and math, and I am using it to make sure I understand at least some of it, and it’s teaching me so much. I love how easy it is to understand the different classes, and the pictures and diagrams are very helpful for me. I’m a very visual person, so all of this helps me learn better. Also this isn’t just for high schoolers. There are classes for middle school to very advanced people! This is amazing I definitely recommend it! I also have premium, which is very convenient and not that expensive. I will keep using this for a while!!.Version: 6.3.2

Very goodVery good and very addictive.Version: 6.0.1

This is just brilliant!Thank you for making this app!.Version: 3.4.3

Great App works the mind other Apps can’t reach! It’s a great App that has different choices of tests and also has detailed answers with excellent explanations of how to work it out. It’s also fun to read peoples comments and their variations on the answers. I personally don’t think it is worth the cost of subscription and hope it may reduce in the future. For now I am just happy for the new tests to be set each day. Well done to the creator/s.Version: 4.1.2

Made me realise i am a retard 🥲10/10.Version: 4.2.1

Extraordinary appMost challenging and rewarding app I have..Version: 6.4.4

Quarantine learningLast year I was a part of the graduating class of 2020 where I received my B.S.c in mathematics. As you might imagine, Instead of using my skills in the workplace (or at graduate school) I have been stuck in quarantine. Brilliant has helped me review key concepts I will need for whatever comes next by providing engaging problems, a user friendly platform, and a myriad of topics to choose from. As someone with a mathematics background, I particularly enjoy the logical approach to not only the math course but also the physics and computer science courses they offer. Overall it has been a great experience (other than the cost) and I recommend it to those trying to expand their minds while they are trapped inside..Version: 5.0.2

Well presented and thoughtful applicationI enjoy the questions and how it references you to areas you can study if you are not sure. My only constructive criticism is that it should provide a better description of the methodology to study using the app..Version: 2.1.7

AmazingBrilliant is an over all amazing application with a huge list of tonnes of content that touches in all areas of math, science and computer science. There are questions placed throughout a courses to give the user the ability to learn thoroughly The 1 star knocked off was because the amount of content in science is lacking a little, especially considering that there are 3 more sub-subjects within science and so I think that is doesn’t have enough Content for something that cost $100 a year. Websites like Seneca, provide almost limitless knowledge in all areas of study, english, mathematics, science, geography and more. And even better, it is completely free. The only problem with Seneca is that it blasts highly advanced content without slowly explaining things to lead up to the more advanced stuff. This is we’re Brilliant takes over, it explains simpler topics, as a base before building the full picture..Version: 6.2.3

It’s really fun.I like the game and it’s reall y fun and entertaining, SO WHAT ARE YOU THINKING READING ALL THESE BORING REVEIWS AND GO INSTALL IT.Version: 6.5.4

Awesome!Just got the full subscription, and am loving it! I have learned so much already, and can’t wait to keep going. Thanks for the best website/app ever!!!.Version: 6.4.6

Engaging contentMaybe make some full courses available without subscription.Version: 3.4.1

AwesoooooooomeGreat app to keep brain in shape..Version: 4.1.4

It algsI’ve had the app for a day it it seems really good so far😁.Version: 6.4.6

Fun but expensiveIt’s expensive.Version: 3.4.3

Much thanksLove it! When my brain has an itch, Brilliant is the scratch that I need. Keep up the great work, and thank you for this wonderful experience..Version: 6.5.1

AwesomeAwesome way to enhance your understanding of fundamental concepts and beyond!.Version: 6.4.3

Teach the basics as well!!!I want to learn calculus just to get ahead of my math classes. However, when i started the calculus course was completely clueless what the actual heck was going on even from the ‘easy’ part of calculus. You can’t expect us students to learn something without teaching the basics first. Either that or I’m just really dumb. Overall, excellent app for us students to learn from!!! 👍.Version: 3.3.5

Love it, but a little expensive for allI absolutely LOVE this app so far, it’s easy to use and makes it fun. I use a notebook to take notes as I go along and it helps me memorize and focus. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because for premium, you must pay roughly $12 per month, though there are many good corses that are free. I highly suggest Brilliant if you need help with math/science, or are just interested..Version: 3.3.2

Amazing! But a few recent bugsI love the app. Great curation, reasonable learning pace, a little too light on reinforcement of the reinforcement of formulas as opposed to concepts but that also really helps with the gamified dopamine rush that makes it easy to swap out a phone game for this. In the last six month or so, my progress is getting flakier. On iphone, on most loads at the start of the day my course progress is incorrect and I need to do a force close for it to update correctly. I'm also really disappointed that offline mode is getting removed since it was my favourite activity on a plane trip. I just noticed that Khan Academy offers this feature though so I might give that a shot again and treat this more as a game for when I'm bored.Version: 6.4.6

This app is good but....I have been using Brilliant for a while now and I get really annoyed every time I finish a Introduction and then it tells me that to continue the course I need to pay 160 dollars a year to continue. Overall I enjoy brilliant but you should make the prices cheaper.Version: 4.0.2

Good, but not upfrontI really enjoyed the mini quizzes, though I didn’t understand some of the material I still gained a lot of information in some of the explanations. My *only* complaints are: try not to be so vague on some founding principles if at the beginning of the course if it says “Not to worry! You’ll learn about it in chapter so and so...’’ but then don’t explain the fundamentals if the course is for absolutely beginners? 🙄🙄🙄 Secondly, let us know we have to pay for the course before hand! Please let that be included at least in the introductory section, gave an option to buy the full package. Really took me by surprise, I’m sure others as well. Otherwise I really enjoy the app. I’m going to buy it only because I have no doubt it would greatly improve my understanding and comprehension of material. Thank you all for developing and writing the content of this app..Version: 3.4.2

Amazing(Before u start reading plz read the whole thing) So this app is brilliant I MEAN LIKE BRILLLLLLL ok so I’m a 10 yr old kid and this is amazing so like us cool fun and I learn a lot this app helped me a lot in school and if your reading this , dear reader(sorry for no punctuation before) you should get this for u or ur kid cus get it or regret it Also like if u don’t wanna pay just do all the starting sections (what I do) so after there is a daily challenge u should do if ur done and then redo and review all the topics cuz after all that knowledge u probably forgot. Thank you all for spending your precious time to read this and bye(also if u don’t understand just get the app and u shall understand )- your dear friend ..Version: 6.6.0

Continuing Education For The SeriousIf you give serious commitment to Brilliant then you will come away with a working knowledge of high level mathematics and the discipline to work problems through to the end. It’s as hard as it needs to be to cover the challenging subject matter—but no harder. It exposed that I had a weak foundation in math and gave me the tools to fix it. Clearly, mathematics pedagogy has improved since I was in school. I feel like the advances in math instruction are being infused into this app. The illustrations and the progress tracking are motivating to the soul and pleasing to the eye. It’s worth the money if you are serious or thinking about getting serious about math/science..Version: 6.3.2

Thanks ppl of brilliantThe step by step problems are easy to follow and the connection from theory to practical has helped me solidify my understanding far better than self teaching myself the subject.Version: 3.1.7

Amazing experienceI think that Brilliant is the best thing that I have ever discovered. I am 35 years old, and throughout whole my life I was scared of mathematics, until I began to use this app. I fell in love with math, and I really mean it. Just I still cannot believe that it simply happened. Thank you Brilliant for turning my biggest phobia into pure passion! This really is a form of wonder!.Version: 6.6.5

Amazing AppThis is basically just an appreciation review to how amazing this app is. I don’t know why people give this app bad ratings, it probably takes a long time to make these courses and obviously nobody would make an app like this with this much detail and art and make it free. This app is honestly amazing.Version: 3.6.4

Great so farI have ADHD and dyslexia and I'm now even more angry at my school teachers years back (I was undiagnosed but still), and so far it's great. I'd like to see speech within the app as an accessibility option to read out text (sometimes the maths problems get a bit text heavy) and maybe font options. As another commenter said, good for those of us with adhd, and their idea of making flashcards. Fyi I'm doing this for fun and to prove my school and a college teacher wrong (she laughed at me). I've always been sure underneath it all I could do maths with the right kind of teaching, eg one to one, now this. Thanks guys. I hope I can actually prove myself to me..Version: 7.2.2

Well explainedThis app is genius.Version: 6.4.6

Brilliant for A Levels!I honestly despise revision- who doesn’t? This app made it so much fun because I love problem solving! I was skeptical of the app at first- usually most brain training apps require a subscription- but this has plenty of free stuff. I’m actually considering paying for more content if it helps me get through my mock exams. Thanks Brilliant, for getting me to study in the most fun way possible. ❤️.Version: 3.1.9

It’s Brilliant, funnily enoughI love the content! Maths is one of those subjects that, when taught, is either completely butchered or super interesting and motivating (Brilliant does the latter if you weren’t sure). I would recommend for sixth formers and above, but GCSE knowledge is certainly in there too. The only issue is that the app feels a bit slow and takes a second to load new questions sometimes but this is only a minor concern, improving the equation writing tools would also be beneficial for having to type between the syntax is painful. If you like the freebie content then I’d suggest buying the annual premium subscription, I think it’s worth the price!.Version: 2.1.9

Well done, not worth the money for meI really liked the lessons that I did. Sometimes with things like this it is difficult to strike a balance between childishly easy and face desk hard. However this kept me engaged and I was able to learn to think through the problems for myself. However to me it is not worth paying $120 a year, especially as this is just a thing I do in a five minute break. I would rather do Khan Academy for five minutes and that’s also free. I would definitely use this app if there was a full version driven by ad revenue that didn’t require payment. Ads are annoying to most people but I don’t mind if the product provides value to my life..Version: 3.5

Good app.Unfortunately also quite expensive for someone not studying for these subjects..Version: 2.1.9

Best learning app on the marketBrilliant is 110% worth your money. I love the learn-by-doing/challenge mentality, and the execution is of the highest quality. As someone who really enjoys self-paced learning I am super excited something of this calibre finally exists!.Version: 3.2.5

Very clearThis app is very helpful and presented in a very clear to see manor. It carefully explains everything in intricate detail and if you don’t understand and you get a question wrong you have the option for an explanation to explain where you went wrong. This app covers many different courses and all of them are in impeccable detail. This is an app I’d recommend to anyone who needs help with maths science or logic. 10/10.Version: 5.1.0

Explained in a different way (but good)For me in a high school kid I have never failed a class but I never understood them either but this app has helped me understand the topics that we’re doing in class in a different way than they’re explaining it. I love this app so much two things though I wish there was a read out loud and a draw feature..Version: 6.4.6

Makes Me Like Math AgainI’m taking the Fundamentals of Mathematical Reasoning course which trains you to think like a mathematician in a way that feels like a game. Courses uses a slide(s) and question format, showing you problems with animations and stories and then asking you to solve them, with hints available to help you answer yourself. Oftentimes questions on your thinking follow questions about solutions, so you understand other processes you might have not considered. Lessons can be fast, ranging from 10-30 minutes, so I can play during lunch breaks or waiting periods. In the later lessons, I notice myself thinking more strategically about the best ways to solve problems and thinking about math in visual representations when possible instead of abstract numbers. Since my math education was rote, Brilliant is refreshing and fun. Math feels natural, accessible, and engaging to me now, so I find the Premium subscription worth the cost. Sometimes the slide graphics display partially or not at all, and Brilliant Support is slow to respond, but this happens rarely and doesn’t much affect my everyday experience..Version: 5.1.0

This is REALLY helping me!I’m going to college and taking academic courses for the first time in several years. I failed the first day assessment for Elementary Statistics, so I dropped it. Since then, I’ve been trying to brush up on my math in various ways. However, most of the “traditional” ways have either not worked, brought up negative associations for me, or both. This app TEACHES math from the ground up, along with many neat tips and tricks, in a way that’s novel and fun for me, but not insulting to my intelligence or dignity. Plus, this app’s approach to teaching math visually and conceptually is getting through to me in ways that several math teachers have failed to do. I only have the FREE version, too! Don’t let the subscription cost scare you! You CAN download, use, and benefit from Brilliant without paying a dime!.Version: 4.2.1

Feels ReassuringBrilliant has been great so far, I really feel like I can just keep returning daily and reach incredible heights with my maths and physics skills. I’m so excited for what I might achieve..Version: 3.2.1

Nice app, yet lean on learningI subscribed to this service to refresh my memory on some fundamental concepts while also exposing myself to new areas of knowledge. Needless to say, this app is well-designed and flashy. The illustrations and user-interface are intuitive and engaging. However, this app lacks a lot with regards to pedagogy. While the brief lessons allow for quick consumption on-the-go, I think the superficiality of the explanations, examples, and exercises leads to shallow learning. If there were a practice/review tool that utilized a spaced-repetition learning model, I might feel more satisfied with my learning progress. In short, don’t expect the same learning outcomes from this app as you would from a more intensive course..Version: 3.2.3

This app is better than schoolBasically just do this instead of school, it’s quicker and unlike teachers it doesn’t think it’s better than you....Version: 3.4.5

Great appPotty you can’t subscribe to particular lessons. A years subscription is a bit long and a month is a bit expensive.Version: 2.1.9

I was refunded. Thank you, Brilliant support!During my free trial, I decided Brilliant was not for me. Unfortunately, I missed canceling my trial by an hour and was charged a whopping $119 for a year membership. I left a review explaining why I was upset, the support team responded, we emailed each other, and they have decided to issue a refund. I initially gave a 1 star review because of having such a large surprise amount charged to my account (a surprise because I thought I would be charged for a single month, not a full year at the end of the trial if I were to not cancel in time). Because the support team responded quickly and professionally, I am happy to raise my review to 4 stars, because I do think the world could use more math and science! I however find the payment/free-trial method a bit controversial. So until they decide to change their model, I can’t feel comfortable leaving any higher of a review. My recommendation to Brilliant is to give people a 7 day trial without charging the payment automatically upon completion. Send out a reminder message that the trial is ending. Maybe consider giving a discounted price if they purchase during a free trial. Let the user feel in control of their decision! Thank you for understanding, and giving me a refund. I do appreciate that very much and wish you all well! Best!.Version: 4.1.1

Très intéressantAide à concrétiser les concepts mathématiques pour les manipuler mentalement super application.Version: 6.5.3

Rebooting mathematicsSo far, I enjoy the introduction to reasoning skills. I haven’t used the app very long, but I’ve experienced that the app is engaging from the moment you start using it. There are quite a few subjects to select from, and I’ve chosen to start from the beginning for a fresh outlook on mathematics. I expected daunting, simple problems to work through, and was surprised to find that while simple elements are introduced they are not boring . I’m grateful for the opportunity to enrich my perspective on the fundamentals as I’m a higher level math student feeling like I’ve reached a ceiling because my mathematical background is one of “here are the steps, now solve the problem”. I hope to regain a love for mathematics, and so far, it seems like I’m already there..Version: 5.0.5

It is Brilliant! The way the ‘lessons’ are doable within half an hour is great for me, I have been doing a lesson every morning. The learnings from the “maths fundamentals” have transferred into my life. For example, I have been doing mental maths at work and during a board game that I wouldn’t have effectively done otherwise. The service is keeping my mind active!.Version: 6.3.1

Wonderful experience so farI’m using this app to catch up on the maths I missed in high school, and it’s working really well for me so far. I’m someone who seems to only deeply understand concepts by trying to use / implement them, so the hands on interactive puzzles are perfect for me. Fantastic job!.Version: 4.1

Good but........This is a wonderful educational app that make learning difficult topic easier . It fun and has a well designed interface. But one thing , is the types of courses are a bit limited. I would really love to see a corse on smell or taste. Or other corses on the compounds behind emotions. This would then really make a perfect app for learning as science is so broad! Overall this is a educational app that has great patentual but could add a bigger options of corse about other fields of science..Version: 3.3.1

Good app. Just want to give feed backGreat app but i just want to give feedback. Firstly, put a feedback button on the app or make it more visable in settings Secondly, would be great to be able to add courses to a save for later list (probs choose a better name). It would be great to have a list of the courses I want to do so when I finish one course I can go straight to my list and pick the next course.Version: 5.1.0

Needs a drawing functionI love this app but the only thing keeping it from being 5* is having a drawing function to do your own working as can’t always do it in your head and I’m incredibly visualise and sometimes need to rewrite/rearrange things and would love to be able to do that on my iPad rather than on a piece of paper!.Version: 6.4.3

The bite-sized STEM knowledge you never knew you would love so muchDon’t usually leave reviews but Brilliant is truly worth making my way over to the App Store and leaving a review for. Can’t overstate how much this is what people need to help them realise the beauties of STEM while simultaneously unlock their brain’s potential. If every child was brought up with the kind of curiosity that Brilliant stokes and bite sized, accessible knowledge that it offers, we would’ve had at least 100 times as many Einstein’s and Newton’s by now and the human race would’ve advanced light years ahead. God bless the guys and girls over at Brilliant, truly doing humanity a service..Version: 6.4.4

Better than any other math learning app i’ve triedThe other apps i’ve tried out only would have been helpful if i payed for their full premium version. This app has lots of different courses and subjects to explore and i did not have to pay any money to be able to access them. The only downside is that if you are not particularly good at critical thinking or thinking like a mathematician, some of these course are really hard to follow. I’m not very good at math but i want to be, so i go through the courses very slowly. I’m still very impressed at how much i can learn on here for free. I’m giving it 5 stars because i want other people to be able to easily access free education..Version: 5.0.5

Love itYeah.Version: 3.5.9

Very EnjoyableBeing in my mid 40’s, was looking to stimulate more of my mental side but have been out of the game for awhile. Like most, the knowledge I have and use is strong but what I learned a long time ago and haven’t used is hit and miss. Brilliant is great from the start… interactive, well thought out, and well executed. At 15 minutes a night it easily fits into my evening routine. Also… the use of email communication is nice and not burdensome - an interactive lesson on a random topic, click to open app and continue or delete email and you won’t continuously be bombarded with emails..Version: 5.1.0

Value contentThe exercises i have completed so far have excellent material to stir a thought..Version: 6.5.1

Brilliant!Really helpful both for entertainment and learning!.Version: 4.1.1

Great approach to make learning fun and develop a passion for interesting subjectsI’m using Brilliant to learn computer science. I’ve always had an interest in computer science, but always wrote it off as being too advanced and too technical for me. Brilliant has made learning computer science fun and approachable. The interactive material makes the learner much more engaged, which I believe is crucial for learning and critical thinking. It makes an overwhelming topic like computer science easy to understand and digest, which in turn leaves the learner wanting to do more. If you lack confidence in your learning ability, or are tackling a difficult subject, I highly recommend Brilliant..Version: 6.4.3

Amazing BUT...An exciting resource that gives people to opportunity to explore a well proportioned range of courses in an array of interesting fields. the areas that Brilliant covers is amazing and i love how they make it applicable to real life. HOWEVER the pro plan is way too expensive, especially for young people whom i assume is the target market. i really wish there was an option to pay to unlock just the field you want to study. which could easily be the price of a small entry level textbook on the subject. if that cant work then there should either be a variety of price points for subscription or just a lower one because i truly think that is the only thing stopping this app from becoming a major platform for education..Version: 3.4.2

Great appWorks great! Two pieces of feedback: when downloading the app on a different device to continue a course I find myself having to click on Finish Lesson and then on Complete (and all the animations in between), which is not fast. Also, personally I find the transitions and animations slow and distracting - would be great if there was a setting to disable or at least speed them up.Version: 6.3.2

Excellent.Easy to complex problems. User friendly and good for breaks..Version: 3.3.5

Amazing learning toolThis tool is amazing for self-taught learners and students that want to enhance their critical thinking or mathematical ability, and supplement their academic course work. It’s amazing a resource like this available. The learning content is great people that designed the course work really put thought into every problem. Most problems are fun challenging and interesting. There should be more apps like this. ^^^ This is automatically generated response of developers praising themselves and I agree it is a very well made and interesting app for anyone looking to exercise their mind and delve into interesting puzzles and problems and I agree with all the praise given by the developers to themselves in the autogenerated review but I would like for them leave some of the praising up to the user of the app. Amazing work this app is a great supplement to learning and the designers of the app are amazing..Version: 5.0.3

Soooo goodThis app is really useful and really helps with any math course or science course to get a deeper understanding of the concepts..Version: 6.4.4

Fantastic but PLEASE fix the app’s adminThis is a really special app. I love it so much. But please, guys, fix the admin side. I’ve been using it on and off for a few years and the payment and account management on the app still stinks! I just renewed my subscription but I can’t get access to the content. I tried adding my apple id to my Brilliant sign in but it’s too buggy to even let me do that! Please fix this stuff. I know you’re working hard on the content but this is important. It doesn’t need to be fancy; it just needs to work!.Version: 6.5.5

Phenomenal App and Customer ServiceFirstly, the app explains concepts in half an hour that I didn’t understand through hours of university lectures. Also, unfortunately I had to cancel my membership as I wanted to save money but there was an issue and I was charged a fee. Brilliant support was incredibly helpful and quick. They got back to me same day informing me that they were initiating a refund which came through a couple of days later. Would give this app and the team 10 stars if I could..Version: 5.1.0

In every way possible: enlightening and engaging.I have no problem finding the motivation to open Brilliant. It’s incredibly addictive even for an educational application. I absolutely adore the story-telling style of the courses, the simplistic, minimalistic design of the interface, and even the beautiful, organic artwork. It can even be seen that more and more courses are being designed and added: all I can is, and with confidence I do so, the people behind Brilliant are hardworking, intelligent, and most importantly—they have passion. Thank you, Brilliant!.Version: 3.4.4

Absolutely Brilliant! This app is allowing me to expand my brains capacity to understand natures fundamental laws from special relativity, to solving complex courses such as problem solving/ Logic. Doing very good when it comes to logic. I’m improving in mathematics. However, I’m a little lost with special relativity. It’s most likely because my curiosity got the best of me and compelled me to skip all the other essential courses to understanding it and the meaning behind certain symbols (variables). I would highly recommend using an app called Elevate in conjunction with Brilliant. They go very well together hand-in-hand, at least from my experience. I use Elevate as a pre-workout to stretch and warm up my brain before using Brilliant, as it is more advanced than Elevate. Just a suggestion. I hope this review helps!.Version: 6.3.1

Great way to spend your downtime!Brilliant has an excellent range of courses for anyone interested in STEM areas. Although some of the courses can not be accessed without paying for premium, there is still an excellent array of courses with lots to learn! My only suggestion is to make more courses free! (Only if possible, of course).Version: 4.1.1

Could easily replace most public schoolsWhat a fantastic site. It’s combination of visual and text-based methods of teaching make everything very easy to understand. It guides you to discovering core mathematical concepts yourself rather than asking you to simply accept/memorise them. You could use this site to go from primary school all the way into an entry level coding job. It’s worth every penny..Version: 7.1.1

Great AppExquisite app to learn or simply play some games.Version: 4.2.1

Great quizzes, lacks gamificationI found this app through instagram marketing (as i’m sure many of you did as well). It ended up living up to most of the hype. The topics are broad and relevant. The quizzes are quick and simple, yet effective and brain-teasing. For anyone who likes learning, this is a great app, and for those who love a visual element to their learning, look nowhere else. ’But sir, you only gave it four stars,’ you say? (Brilliant developers, I hope you are reading these) It could be significantly better if there were scoring, points accumulation, a social element, rewards, or other features to make it more fun and engaging. Especially at this price point. That said, I’m enjoying the platform and look forward to future versions..Version: 4.2.1

Dyscalculia need an app like thisAs a Dyscalculia learners this app been extremely helpful for me. however if anybody could create a app catered to us only. That would be great. If I could make it it would include: 1) A clubhouse type community 2)Video Courses ( in addition to current way you run the app) 3) tutors with a deep understanding Dyscalculia to help us 5) use ai to help assistance in learning math All hand on deck. If u don’t create this I hope someone who can see this message!!!.Version: 6.4.6

It’s in the name (deserves more than 5 stars)Fantastic application, so handy to have the classroom in your pocket and the information is always very detailed and explained in a clear and coherent manner. Couldn’t speak of an app more highly..Version: 3.4.3

Fantastic for people that learn by 'doing'I really struggled with higher education maths (calculus, differential equations etc.), but - strangely - I'm still drawn to learn more. The emphasis on 'visual' learning (as opposed to a 5,000 page textbook) is a dream. Dynamic and interactive graphs, visualisations and examples make the subjects interesting and engaging. I'm not yet level with Einstein, but I've learnt more in 1 week than I did at college. Highly recommend..Version: 4.1.8

Love the app, but why no practices?I love the practice quizzes found on the website version, but there seems to be no way of accessing them from the app. Please fix this. Apart from that, 5 stars..Version: 6.2.3

Great toolThe lessons are always well planned and broken into very easily chewable bites. I’ve been going through several courses dust my trigonometry and algebra and, so far, The only complaint I’ve got is against my school teachers for not having been this good..Version: 6.5.1

Very useful; still needs refinement. If one profession has a tendency to attract more incompetent teachers than any other, it’s the math teaching profession, without a doubt. Brilliant is an attempt to overcome that. The folks behind the app have made quite good progress in this area. However, they still have a tendency to explain tricky operations awkwardly; jump from a basic math concept to a more advanced one without first walking the student through step by step; fail to give the student opportunities to practice what they have learned; and finally, they fail to give summaries of the key points of what each unit has taught, so the student can commit the key points to memory. Overall, however, this is a worthwhile app that will teach you maths in a way that you’re unlikely to learn in school..Version: 6.2.2

GoodGood item. But you need to distinguish between…is a product good…and what is a human…and is there any correlation between the value and worth of a person…and is it associated with marketeering and customer is king marketing. God is not in the customer is king marketing business. No correlation. Good product non the less. Sinless hearted image of God more elevated than human product manufacture..Version: 7.1.0

BOUNDARIES/SCOPE OF BRILLIANT EXERCISESI am a retired 76 year old pensioner. I find the challenges promulgated by Brilliant are a more than adequate method of exercising the ‘little grey cells’. However, I am sometimes concerned as to the scope of the exercises. For example, the Guardians of the Gallery test asks if the whole gallery can be overseen by one guard. The answer is a definite YES, if the guard is monitoring the gallery using CCTV. But perhaps this is not in the ‘spirit’ of the test. OLD ROMAN SOLDIER.Version: 5.0.3

Couple days inHad for a couple days... It's pretty neat! Maybe some more varied topics could be needed but I've already learned a bunch about some stuff relevant to my profession, so that's cool. I just need to remember to check back every day!.Version: 2.1.7

Great and Informative AppBy implementing the information given immediately makes you use the knowledge learned, cementing it in your memory! It’s amazing!.Version: 3.2.4

The best app for learning! This app is just, I used it for 2 days and my critical thinking methods and problem solving methods improved DRASTICALLY. It’s unbelievable that I haven’t downloaded this till now. If they’re gonna ask me to pay 180 bucks for annual plan so that I can be like SO MUCH SMARTER THAN I AM CURRENTLY, guess what? I’ll frickin do it!.Version: 5.0.5

Math/scienceBrilliant is a good app for a high school and college level math and science.Version: 5.0.5

V coolWpic.Version: 6.3.2

Good introduction to logicI have never been a math or logic person, so the problems in this app were more challenging to me than they were for most. I wish something like this, with problems and explanations, all for free—were accessible when I was younger. I wouldn’t have known where to start looking! If I started at a young age, my math skills would be better, and I may have actually done math for fun. This the kind of stuff that they ask on IQ tests, not the silly memory or perceptual reasoning stuff they have on online IQ tests. Perceptual reasoning and working memory do not require preconceived knowledge or study like verbal reasoning does (verbal reasoning includes vocabulary and mathematics). However, all three measures can be improved with practice. You just have to know where to find the challenges..Version: 4.1.6

AmazingUni student, majoring in maths and stats. Just be aware that this app requires you to actually sit and think, possibly write problems out. You can’t usually do it as a background mental exercise..Version: 3.3.5

YesHi.Version: 6.5.1

Makes learning simple & fun!I love this app - it’s one of the few I have purchased and it’s worth the cost. I was always reluctant to do further studies as I felt like I wasn’t “smart enough” and on top of that the pressure/cost of attending University/tafe. On Brilliant you can find so many different areas of interest and I found myself learning about things I never would have chosen initially - it’s expanded my knowledge on various topics and it’s really easy to use/follow. I also had an issue with my payment and had such wonderful support from customer service (Kenzie). Thank you for creating such a great learning platform and for employing great people!.Version: 5.1.0

Great but Too ExpensiveThis is a great app that makes math engaging and fun. The free version is definitely worth a look! The paid-version (subscription format) is just too expensive to be realistic for most people..Version: 4.1.4

Brilli antThe Brilli Ant is part of a highly organised hierarchy and course architecture. Each ant knows it’s role and they work together to create a colony of massive intellectual power. Unlike other ant species, the Brilli Ant promotes critical thinking and does not expect its workers to follow hormonal cues for guidance. Instead, it provides a framework of choice to complete tasks in any order, for any purpose and for anyone. The end result is an anthill that towers above the rest and comprises of the most important aspects of human knowledge..Version: 4.2.1

Love it!Learning should be lifelong, and Brilliant helps with that big ti,E in an interesting way!.Version: 6.5.3

Dark ModeI like the app, it has lots of great features and content. A feature that I feel should be implemented though is dark mode. Other than that, this is a great app keep doing what you’re doing..Version: 4.1.8

Brilliant use of my timeI feel like I’ve finally found an app worthy of my time. Great to cover the basics as well as learn something new..Version: 6.3.0

Love thisI’ve self educated since 7th grade, I would have died to have had this 20 yrs ago. I had to work full time since I was 14 and I’m a single dad now, this is wonderful! I’ve had to countlessly go back, time and time again: Example: Studying Physics, I can see the theory in my mind, but had to figure out what kind of mathematical approach to quantify things. I self taught trig, pre-cal and cal, but didn’t know about pure mathematics. It saves so much time to have a path to build on. I’m completely stoked, and when my daughter goes to bed, the two hrs I get are highly prized times for me. So having a lesson planned out for me dames me incredible time and frustration. This app is a god send! Thank-you! You just don’t know how much I appreciate the (chance) to learn..Version: 5.1.0

GreatI bought a subscription. The mathematics and science is at a college level and is well described and taught. The visuals are great and really aid in creating an understanding. However, it is not perfect. I believe they should have 50% more questions and go deeper in some topics. Plus, I really want Thermodynamics to be added haha..Version: 4.1.4

💯💯💯I’m such a science and maths nerd and this app helps fuel my curiosity. There are a wide array of courses, quizzes and questions and they all have the answer explained in case you don’t understand it. 10/10 would recommend.Version: 3.3.3

Could be great if you don’t mind registeringI was happy to download the app but was unable to use it due to having to register with Facebook, google or your email. I personally don’t like having to register in the manner that is requested but after speaking with the developers, they explained that this registration is necessary in order to protect against piracy issues. I understand where they are coming from and if you don’t mind registering, then perhaps this app can be an excellent study resource. I gave it a 4 star review only because I did not get to use it and I do not want to register, however I am sure the app itself is great and might be worth the 5 stars. Good luck!.Version: 3.6.4

Feels like playing a gameIt feels like playing a video game but it focuses on learning, which is awesome. The few gripes I have are minor - for example there are a lot more typos and mistakes than I anticipated, but I’m sure they’ll get ironed out as people report them; there is no dark mode and the app’s theme is white so it’s a bit too bright at night even with brightness down; lastly, if you stop mid-lesson and later resume, it makes you start from the beginning again. I understand that this is probably better so you can review where you left off, but making that a choice rather than mandatory would be great. I’m not listing the pros of the app because they are self-evident and as advertised: it’s a fun, interactive way to learn and keep up with STEM concepts with very easy-to-follow explanations..Version: 6.4.6

My first review. As the title of this app suggests - it really is brilliant! I’ve been absolutely hooked on this app and it makes learning fun and enjoyable, definitely worth a try if you are wanting to challenge your brain! It even gives amazingly clear explanations to the questions you get wrong. Well worth the download and a well deserved 5 stars!.Version: 4.2.1

Regular Brilliant UserUtterly incredible! Many topics look very simple on the eye and I didn’t bother doing them. I quickly realised how many misconceptions I had even on the most basic of topics. This app is truly applicable for all ages. It’s managed to find a way to counteract the traditional education system, by fitting in all the crucial information in the space of a few slides. Great variety of methods are implemented to help consolidate what you’ve learnt, and very user-friendly interface. The only negative is I wish there were more courses (there are already many)!.Version: 4.1.7

Learn and funI do learn and have fun. I wish it will be traduces in French someday.Version: 6.4.6

I get most things wrong.. AND I LOVE IT!What a way of teaching. Getting maths for game development and the way they teach concepts and critical thinking is just so damn good..Version: 5.0.4

I enjoy it enough to conquer my fears of math (mental abuse towards humans)I have been using it for the past 5 or so months I believe. I saw people advertise for it for awhile, some who were even an nasa engineer (mark rober shout out to him). I love the characters and the design for this app, but I feel like there could be a few changes. Personally, I like having notifications because it helps me stay on track a lot. This app does have notifications but they are addressing my league. This helps because I can stay on track with it and continue getting my streak. But that’s the thing, they don’t remind you of your streak but just your league. This also doesn’t help because you have to pay for the app and sometimes I forget and sometimes it feels like I’m wasting money. Solution for this? Either make a widget or do what Duolingo does to remind you of your streak. All regards though this app is very well devolved and thought out, just more notifications please!.Version: 6.5.1

Self explanatoryBrilliant.Version: 2.1.9

Excelente aplicativoEstimula o raciocínio e apresenta muitos fatores didáticos incríveis.Version: 3.4.3

A great appThis app helps to see if maths works for myself. I have learned that I don’t understand enough but it has made me want to learn more so a brilliant app.Version: 6.3.2

AwesomeGreat app. Definitely worth the subscription. A much better way to spend time on the toilet than scrolling through the ether of social media..Version: 5.1.0

Monthly subFor such a great intelligent app, it’s near impossible to navigate too the monthly premium options on your mobile device..Version: 6.3.0

Lube your brainBrilliant puzzles are so well designed and crafted they provide you with new enticing ways to think about the world. There are so many new challenges in wide variety of subjects that are really good fun! I do recommend to anyone who keen to enjoy the thrilling of using your brain. It’s awesome!.Version: 3.4.5

College Quality CoursesThis app is amazing. I downloaded it originally when I was looking for resources to brush up on physics. Since then, I decided to enroll in a math class at my local community college—Brilliant made learning so easy that my confidence has skyrocketed and I started daydreaming about earning a STEM degree. Of course, I used Brilliant to study for my math placement test, and after only working through half of the algebra and trig courses I tested in to Pre-Calc! I haven’t taken a math class since high school, ten years ago! I’m still using Brilliant on the topics I find difficult, the easy step by step process is so good at breaking down complex problems and helping you understand. I’m so excited to keep using this app for a variety of subjects. Thank you so much to the team that built this app and creates its content! This is modern digital learning at its best!.Version: 3.6.4

5/5Amazing. ❤️.Version: 3.6.4

A great app to learn interactively. There are so many features to this app, you can learn science, mathematics, computer science and more and sometimes all in one lesson. It is fun to learn and if you don’t understand something, there’s always a way to understand it more and alter it in a way with the interactive part that they advertise often. They do not have my age, so I’m a year older on this than I am in real life, which makes it hard, but I am constantly learning..Version: 5.0.4

Good except for one frustrating bugReally like the app, good content, the one frustration I have is that when a word used that a user might not be familiar with provides a definition that renders in a pop-up window when you click on it, it always cuts off the beginning of the message making it outright useless and nonsensical and I’ve found no way to work around this, this is the only reason I have not given a five star review..Version: 4.1.3

Better than mindless doom scrollingReally enjoying the app so far, last time I did any maths was my GCSEs - trust me this is worlds apart! The lessons are challenging but really well explained and the user interface is intuitive and beautifully designed. Would recommend to anyone looking to break a bad social media habit and learn some new concepts and ways of thinking..Version: 6.6.2

Digestible maths lessonsI like learning maths this way, and I like being able to access it on my computer or phone.Version: 6.4.4

Quenches the CuriosityThis is such an amazing learning tool! As someone who’s always had a strong desire to learn and grow mentally, Brilliant is absolutely perfect for me. If you’re someone like me, definitely try it out! The free trial is great, of course (‘cause who doesn’t like free stuff?), but it’s still worth the money. The curriculum is awesome and the way they implement ideas and facts into visuals is very helpful for remembering. All-in-all, I’m in love with Brilliant. Thank you guys so much!! Also - Regarding the app itself, my one issue is that the home page isn’t loading. It’s not a big deal, but it’s still a bug that I wanted to bring to attention..Version: 6.2.3

Brilliant reviewThere are things I have always wanted to learn but haven’t been able to. Brilliant slows you to learn multiple areas of dumpster science which school doesn’t give you. It may seem like a hefty price but really everyone should get this app and experience learnijg things that just you can’t anywhere else. Overall a great app for a “worth it” price tag..Version: 5.0.2

Like it says on the tin!!Brilliant is BRILLIANT. I love it so much! I’m a home schooling mum who cries with boredom at all the standard stuff offered to kids - stuff meant to be helping them learn. I’ve spent a ton of cash on practice books & teaching aids & maybe it’s my own horror of ‘school’ but ... I don’t think they aid learning, just frustration and no provide no interest in learning at all. Brilliant is a gift to us. My children love using the app and I genuinely enjoy sharing the experience. I’m actually starting to feel confident about my kids’ education now with Brilliant covering so many important subjects. It’s like a springboard from which they can dive to any level of learning they choose, having been given a proper understanding. Oh, and it’s totally Brilliant fun!!.Version: 5.1.1

Wait! There’s more! What I love is that the introductory problems can be done quickly but then the main problem is at a deeper level. Better still, the comments by others leads to interesting discussions which entail higher mathematics. Thank you to all contributors..Version: 3.3.2

Incredibly good math teacher shows you why you do what you do.Please do not remove courses I love all of them.Version: 6.5.3

Brilliant ReviewBrilliant is really cool because there are so many courses that you can do and try. It helps you practise your maths and improve in many different skills. The courses guide you through each question step by step and it is fun as well.Version: 6.3.2

Fun learningHave recently started learning about Computer programming fundamentals and it’s been fun so far.Version: 6.3.1

Totally different way of learning—fun, intuitive, challenging but not intimidatingI’ve only been using Brilliant a week, but it’s so much more interesting and engaging and fun than similar learning apps. The experience is like a combination of doing mini- courses with puzzle and game apps. I *never* learned math this way—it would have changed the whole experience for me! (I’m almost sixty years old and doing this mostly for fun, though I’m hoping it might help me with some novice level coding I’m also learning.) The interface is also very attractive and clean. My only suggestion: offer two levels of explanation. There were a few questions where the explanation was so brief, it was kind of puzzle itself. I understand you want to keep things brief—that’s good. That’s why I suggest two levels of explanation: first button says “Show explanation.” But then another button appears at the bottom that says, maybe, “ Need more detailed explanation?” for us beginners. But this is a minor critique. I’m really enjoying it. Highly recommend!.Version: 4.1.4

This app is just brilliantI hardly get impressed by apps but this one just amazed me. I really enjoy solving problems and not only did it teach me new solutions to difficult questions, but also I realized how I like computer-related issues. Thank you!.Version: 3.6

Very impressed - practicalI failed mathematics in school but have been great at programming. I struggled to grasp the formulae and didn’t see how it applied in real life. I wish apps like this existed then! Just spending a couple of days on the course, I understand so many things that I didn’t before! I can even see how it applies to real life now (I work in Technology)! This is awesome. Thank you!.Version: 3.6.4

AmazingBrilliant is what it’s called, Brilliant. It has allowed me to look at science problems in a and how to solve them in a whole new way while also being fun. I highly recommend this app for high schoolers as this can be very helpful in class and learning for fun..Version: 6.5.1

Great app, however...Brilliant is extremely helpful for learning and getting ahead of the curriculum at school. The information is organised and presented well, and it is easy to navigate the user interface However for students (the primary target market for brilliant) it is expensive for premium plans. I suggest adding an option the pay for just a specific course..Version: 3.4.3

Amazing app!Brilliant is an amazing app, I’ve only had it for about a week but I’m already loving it! It’s really easy to use and definitely worth the subscription fee. If it’s possible then I’d definitely love a science course that focuses on biology, although I understand that your courses take loads of work to make. That’s my only suggestion and overall great app! 😁.Version: 7.1.4

It’s cool but not meant for phoneIt’s great for learning stuff on a fundamental level and is quite friendly. It explains things well and is meant to look nice. Problemo is it isn’t 110% phone proof. I’ve heard complaints about the text and the font although it doesn’t really bother me personally. My issue with it is that it crashes from time to time and it’s relatively pricy. I’m not saying it’s not worth the money but you’d best use it if you get it. Also there are finite problems for you to solve. This isn’t easy to fix but if you get something wrong you can’t get any more examples for you to work on (not to my knowledge at Least). On the other hand I say this though I don’t know how to solve any of these problems myself, so who am I to complain. Otherwise it looks and functions well and is a good time..Version: 6.3.2

Had an issue but it was resolvedI have subscribed to Brilliant almost a week ago (Dec. 16, 2020). I had a technical issue with the payment which resulted in me being double charged for the subscription. I wrote to the technical support more than once and finally the issue was resolved promptly and professionally (perhaps they were busy with the holidays and end of year activities). As for the App itself, it is excellent (as anyone can tell from the limited free access features) and I look forward to them adding more fundamental science and engineering topics, complementing them with effective assessment techniques to affirm the learning..Version: 4.2.1

Got me motivated to learn at schoolBefore I got this app I could not think at school, but this app has made me think always in class, now i’m in the top of my grade.Version: 6.5.4

Goals don’t stickGood app, but goals don’t seem to stick and there’s no way to see courses which I’ve set a goal for..Version: 3.4.3

BRILLIANT!I love this app! It’s honestly been somewhat life changing for me. However, I don’t appreciate how expensive it is, but I can honestly say that it’s worth the price. I understand what makes it so expensive. If you aren’t willing to pay the price, I’d suggest just using the free courses. There’s lots of them, and they’re still super good. The people going on and on about how this app is too expensive don’t know what they’re talking about..Version: 4.1.4

Amazing app, still music issues with Bluetooth speakersI brush up past topics on the app to keep my mind fresh and the content is really good, however at present when I connect my phone to Bluetooth speakers, the sound from the app still takes over and cancels out the song I’d be listening to while studying. Besides that, solid app and worth the price..Version: 6.5.3

Great explanationsI downloaded this app mainly out of curiosity. I’m already well versed in quantum mechanics and I was simply curious to see how well they expressed the subject’s nature and quirks. They explained many subjects with astonishing perspective and accuracy. I can only imagine how well they explain the other courses such as calculus and logic. If you lack a sufficiently competent professor, this app will help you out in a pinch. Even if you’re already familiar on things like mathematics and physics, there is always something new to learn on this app. The memberships are set at a great price and the visuals pop and express perfectly the matter at hand. I just wish there was an offline version for whenever I’m on a plane or such. Cheers!.Version: 3.3.3

GoodVery fun and enjoyable, my maths teacher told me about it :).Version: 3.1.9

👍Very good learning app, makes it easy and fun, and has many interesting topics. Would love to see more people using this app. Thanks for the developers for making this amazing app. Slightly expensive, But worth it..Version: 6.2.0

Great learning platform, limited variety of learning methodsI personally am more fond of listening to lectures than reading a lesson on my own, and because of this I sometimes can find myself mindlessly grazing over a lesson without truly learning it (yeah yeah, I’m in a minority I get it)... But unfortunately, for the week or so I’ve had the app I haven’t found a lesson which has an auditory option or something that fashion. I fully understand how insignificant this problem may seem, but with a $100 annual payment I would expect my money to be going to a learning platform which can cater to my specific learning style, perhaps with a 10 minute in-depth explanation on a topic or even a whole lesson if I my attention is divided (for example if I wanted to listen to a lesson on my way to work). Other than this minor problem I’ve experienced with the app, I have enjoyed the engaging lessons and in-depth explanations. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, especially if the visual examples and written lessons are the way you personally prefer to learn. Although for those of us who prefer an auditory method of learning it can be difficult to fully take in the information in an easily digestible way. 4/5, needs more lessons in my opinion (more are coming so it’s not a terrible problem) and a way to keep learners of all styles engaged in every lesson. Great app :).Version: 3.4.3

Refresh memoryI haven't been to school for over 30 yrs. It is helping me a lot. I am doing Maths and physics. I was ok with the maths but did struggle with some of it at times, this is helping a lot. I didn't do physics in my final years so don't remember a lot from when I did it so will definitely need all the help I can get. The understanding of questions are quite straightforward, and the explanation of the answers help a lot..Version: 4.1.4

Great resource - Room for improvementThese courses are very helpful. That said, the usefulness of the app (and even its fuller-featured web version) would be greatly improved with a few added features. In particular, I often find myself wishing I had the ability to “bookmark” or difficult problems in a quiz so that I could easily track which concepts I need to work on and return to them at a later date. This could go hand-in-hand with an improved dashboard page that gave a more granular view of my progress through the various courses. A highlighting feature would be nice as well. Beyond that, I’ve been quite happy with the app..Version: 4.1.7

Learning that is Enjoyable and AccessibleI love Brilliant's approach to learning. It is both fun while being thorough - not dumbed down to the point that it is pointless - and at the same time accessible for anyone no matter your background..Version: 6.3.2

Interactive maths is a great way to learnReally enjoying the format.Version: 3.6.2

Great app for my brainReally enjoy this app. I am not very good but I love the feeling of trying to solve a problem. It helps me in my work and allows build my problem solving skills. Also when you are solving problems you are not worry so it is great for an anxiety..Version: 5.0.4

Dear Brilliant team, please update the iPad UII don’t know about using brilliant on my phone or laptop but interacting with the brilliant app is quite uncomfortable when using split screen. Whenever I’m browsing the course library on landscape mode or portrait mode and select a course to preview, the course overview and course sections vertically split the available screen real estate. It produces a very unflattering squished layout in which reading the course overview or seeing the various sections of each “chapter” is an uncomfortable experience. I don’t need to continue seeing course overview after I’ve read it once. I believe the course overview and course chapters shouldn’t be split and instead should be static at the top of the page in order to use the whole page real estate to comfortable horizontally scroll throughout the chapter sections (Think of the Netflix app for example, the main show they’re promoting at the top and different shows are scrollable horizontally, it would be quite annoying if we had to forcibly see the show they’re promoting everywhere as we continue scrolling down/ up while browsing). Other than that brilliant is amazing, I would just like it to be more split screen friendly on mobile devices..Version: 4.1.8

Great instructionI got this app because I’m mathematically challenged. As an adult that struggles with math I have to say I love the way this app provides instruction. Each set of quizzes starts with an explanation of the material and even if you answer incorrectly there are detailed explanations of how you can figure out the correct answer. I’ve had to be patient with myself but I’m making progress. My favorite class so far has been the one on logic puzzles, something I have struggled with in the past and Brilliant provides such excellent instruction that sometimes I’m very surprised at how well I’m doing answering the questions. It’s by no means easy but it’s designed to make it easy to learn. It’s definitely worth it..Version: 4.1.6

So much funBetter than any other learning online program. Very intuitive and fun..Version: 6.5.3

It’s great!I don’t love that some of the lessons are blocked by a pat wall but I think it’s a fair thing to do for what you get out of.Version: 6.5.3

Great but some problemsI’ve played this for a couple of weeks now and it’s great just 1 problem this might be a bit strange as it doesn’t teach it just teaches.Version: 5.0.4
