✓ AccountHello, I got to dubsmash due to the recent news that tiktok may be banned but I decided I rather delete my dubsmash account since I don’t plan on using it and rather only have one other social media. Here’s where the problem is. I attempted to delete my account and it would not let me because of “connection problems” I went to different places with really good connections but it had the same outcome. I also tried to delete it online but it would not let me either. I made my dubsmash account with my phone number and it did not ask me to set a password. ✓ Can’t loginSince one of the more recent updates this past week, I can no longer login. I’ve used the password reset option from both the app and the official website, which is supposed to send an email to reset the password but after doing this a dozen times I still get no email in any folder including my spam. I found the original welcome email from a few years ago and replied to it while also CC’ing the message to a help email I found on the official website but still no response days later. I’m not interested in creating a new account, I want access to my old one where I have dozens of dubs. I’d even like to promote my profile if a user profile can be shared. But I can’t do this if their password reset service doesn’t work or if they don’t respond to help requests. At first I thought maybe they are no longer supporting the app, that it was done, but updates are still being released, including one today. But even with that instilled I still can’t login. I have a lot of dubs and i can't get to the bottom to watch them cause now you have to swipe down constantly to get to the other dubs. And they are all jumbled up and some are missing. ✓ Acceptable, but clunky and awkwardThere’s been a recent spike in downloads due to the TikTok drama going on, which is completely understandable. However, if the community is going to move to this app, some changes need to be made. First of all, the way the interfaces function is pretty bad. If you don’t mute the audio of one page before going to another, it stacks and you can’t fix it. The only way is to close the app and open it again. It’s awful. And as if that wasn’t enough, sometimes pages will turn to a black screen with no way to fix it other than restarting the app. Second, the inability to create videos longer than 15 seconds is a huge issue, especially to people coming from TikTok, who are used to being able to create longer videos. Perhaps it was me not being informed, but I tried to upload a video that was 41 seconds in length to dubsmash, and it ended up as only 15 seconds long. That’s poor design. And I haven’t even tried to record videos directly on dubsmash, but something tells me that it’s going to be just as clunky as the rest of the interfaces. If the TikTok community is going to move to this app, there needs to be changes. I wouldn’t even consider this a functional app right now, I think this is more of a beta stage. ✓ Dancers vs CosplayersYo, I came on dubsmash to share my art and my creations and I’m getting nothing but hate comments from people claiming that “cosplayers are taking over” or “cosplayers need to leave, this is OUR app” as if it belongs to a certain group of people. I would have a problem if this conversation was about real things like oppression, or real life incidents or political stuff but it’s literally only Dancers bashing cosplayers. ✓ A bit crapIt is a good app and I can see where it is coming from but the community who use it like to close their gate and don’t want anyone else on the app. The fan base for people especially cosplayers are under attack with the endcosplay hashtag but this is the start. You can only post 15 second videos and this is bad as I posted a I minute video and it was cut down and this is terrible as you don’t get to witness the ready of the comedy. Number 2 the for you page or treading page is just a pre set list of videos and if you try and re fresh the trending page it gives you a video from that list it basically just shuffles the list this only allows you to see certain peoples accounts. Number 3 there is no way to pause a video if you want to read some text or look at an image in depth on your screen this is bad as some videos I have had to watch many times and I still don’t know what they were saying. Number 4 posting videos are terrible as there is no way to search a sound in the create a video interface you have to search the song or clip you want to use this is only a minor inconvenience but it is a bit annoying. This is my opinion so I’m not telling you to use the app or not to that is your own choice it is a great app for dance videos as that is the main source of content on there but if you are looking for a better app I would go with something else until they fix these problems if you read down this far you are a good person thank you hope this helps..Version: 5.6.1

✓ CommentsA lot of cosplayers are coming onto the app because it’s similar to how tiktok works. it’s enjoyable and easy to navigate. However a lot of promoters and users having been leaving extremely hateful, hurtful, and are extremely bullying the new users coming in. If there was a way for creators to censors words commented on their accounts in order to hide or automatically delete such hurtful comments, I feel it would help keep this new flow of users from wanting to leave. Once again, I’d like to restate: a lot fo your promoters are being extremely hurtful and saying the most hateful things to new users and it doesn’t look good having such hateful people promoting your app. Please look into this as well..Version: 5.6.1

✓ OkayThere are a few problems with the app. Firstly, I will get notifications on my phone telling me I have gotten likes, follows and views and when I go to my notification inbox on the app no notifications appear here. Secondly, my trending and following page won’t show any new content, only posts I have already viewed and liked. Thirdly, the app won’t allow me to view videos that have been posted and of which I have been notified of. The app is also really laggy and it takes a while to load things. It’s would also be better if when I or someone else uploads a video I can see the whole of the video and not just a fraction of the screen without having to click onto comments to move the screen upwards. However, despite the fact that I am yet to receive likes, it appears that I am getting a lot of views on my posts. I’m not sure if this is the fact that my content is bad or that my likes and inbox are broken but I have received over 500 views and not one like from another account despite following my friends and them following me back after saying we would like each other’s videos. I don’t know if this is a bug or I just have bad friends... sorry for the long report.Version: 5.6.1
