✓ Great App, there’s just one immediate issueThis app is great. You can crest duet and with a little digging you can find content you’ll enjoy. The app developers are clearly working hard and LISTENING TO THIER USERS which is probably the best aspect of the entire app. There are a couple issues I’m sure the developers of the app are working hard to fix like: underaged (below 14) kids on the app, trending page to user interest, the glitches the app tends to have and the limited time sounds have. All of these things I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews. However there is only one issue that I believe should be looked at soon: There is no draft system. As a cosplayer the ability to save videos to an app before posting is a life saver as I cannot get into costume everyday and I tend to stock up on drafts to post throughout a period of time. I know about 20 people from the cosplay community on tiktok who would like to move over to this app and there are probably many more who would if a draft function was added. Overall this app has AMAZING potential to flourish and thrive against tiktok. And I would like to personally thank the developer team for listening to the users to improve the app. I hope I can see more cosplay content on there soon but for now the app should be used casually and as a back up if you make content in advance to post later..Version: 5.6.1

✓ Just a few thingsSo coming from a person that wants tik tok and is not allowed it i think you should add effects and little interactive games we can make photo edits for our family and friends. Another thing if the fyp or trending page almost every video pauses and I find it annoying. ✓ Great potential, but here’s some things to maybe add!I enjoy the app so far, but I would suggest adding a zoom feature when recording, adding a beauty filter, and working out the bugs in the following/for you page. And maybe remove the limit for the people you can follow in an amount of time/ fixing the bug where the screen sometimes crashes or goes black when you switch a tab and you have to close the app. I think making videos longer would be a good idea as well, and add a few more fun filters and some effects! Other than that, the app seems pretty good! Maybe make the notifications a little faster to update too! And be able to update/refresh feed by simply clicking on the “trending” or “following” button. Also maybe fix the algorithm to kinda tailor to the content your interested in. Other than that, I see great potential for the app! But lately I have started to see an increase in inappropriate profile pics and an issue with reporting them! The last two times I had to report the profiles via reporting the bug about the reporting not working right! ✓ How I think the app can improveSo cosplayers like myself and others have started to use this app along with Tiktok, And the app seems so amazing, however heres a few features I think can improve the app for everyone including the cosplayers. ✓ Dub smash is the bombOmg !! Where do I start?? So many memories! Absolutely one of my favourite apps to just play on when I was younger. New update makes it a little bit confusing on how do you use but I haven’t used it since probably 2016 so I can’t really say much, but what I remember of it it’s the best thing ever! ✓ Suggestions and my opinions!As a cosplayer myself, this app is so amazing for us! We actually get noticed, and so many small creators are finally starting to be seen. And you, the developers, actually listen!! That’s such a blessing that you guys actually do! The app runs smoothly, but here are some suggestions and things that I think should be added. 1. The filters. Something that really bothers me is that the filters aren’t as so-called “perfect”. They are bright, but not the right amount. Most of the filters are kinda unnecessary. I think we should have more filters like “Rivington” were it’s soft looking and not too bright or too intense. Another thing is to add a beauty option. You tap on it, and it automatically makes ur face a bit smoother and better! Like said, a beauty option and soft, bright Ish filters will do. 2. Draft option. Similar to TikTok, a draft is an option we’re when you finish a vid, you can save it before posting. You can edit and redo in drafts. 3. Communities. Remember how I said I am a cosplayer? What I mean is that could you separate the communities so that you feel a lot more comfortable and you know that you are in the right place! Maybe change the “trending” to “recommended” for everyone! 4. Community stickers! The stickers y’all give us are kinda basic, so why not you allow us to make stickers also? ✓ PotentialI just switched over from TikTok, I loved how smooth TikTok is but Dubsmash has an advantage here...and I think that they need to take it head on. Improve your software, it needs help. At first I was alarmed by the lack of content but it’s been growing at a fast rate. I only have two requests to add to the app. First, I think drafts or some sort of saving system would really help. ✓ Good Alternative to Tiktok!I just downloaded the app as a cosplayer, since TikTok may be banned, and so far it’s working out well! It has a good interface and everything seems okay so far! It definitely has potential! So far, the only complaints I have are that: 1. There is no feature to save drafts, making it difficult to edit videos over a course of time before posting them. Having a drafts feature would make it really good! 2. The app itself is a bit glitchy. The search button after a couple uses makes the screen turn black and unusable. The trending and following pages aren’t able to be reloaded. The app in general is fairly slow. 3. There should be a way to toggle notifications for different things. Such as likes, follows, view milestones, comments, direct messages, and uploaded videos from people you follow. I’d personally only like direct message, comment, and follow notifications. ✓ 4 StarsI, as well as many others, got dubsmash as an alternative to tiktok. I deleted tiktok because tiktok has been stealing tiktokers information. Once I got on Dubsmash I realized it wasn’t that different then tiktok and I won’t have a hard time using this app! I put 4 stars instead of 5 for a combination of 2 reasons. First the way you upload videos is strange. If you use your own sound you have to upload the audio first which I thought was kind of weird. After uploading the audio you can then make a video with that audio. My problem is it doesn’t allow me to upload videos from my camera roll. My second reason is that there is soooo much hate. It’s not as bad as tiktok, but it’s definitely there. I am a cosplayer and I followed a few cosplayers so I would have the same feed I would if I was still on tiktok. And then I went to the comments.... I don’t understand how people can be that cruel without feeling guilty?!?! First, I’d really like a private account feature, where only your friends can see your videos. Personally, I am not a big fan of having my videos public, and I know a lot of underage people might have parents that would prefer their videos to be private as well. Second, I’d like an easier way to zoom in when filming. I couldn’t seem to figure it out! Maybe a 2 finger pinch or a drag on the record button to make things easier? I also found it a bit hard to access a person’s account from seeing their video on the feature page. For instance, maybe adding a swipe side shortcut or something else might help this. ✓ Great app, but I have a few suggestions.I came looking for an alternative to Tiktok due to the way they treat cosplayers and I believe I found it, but there are a couple things I think could change. 1. The video length, it would be nice if we were able to record a bit longer. 2. The “trending” page, I think it would be better if it showed stuff similar to the things you like on the app, like for example if someone liked a lot of cosplay stuff they would get more cosplay things on that page. Also I tend to see the same dubs over and over on this page. 3. Saving videos, you can like videos but it would be nice if there was another option for stuff that you want to duet later. 4. Pausing the dubs, I wish instead of just muting the dub you could pause it, it would make it easier to show people dubs, especially if you just wanted to show someone one part. 5. Drafts, I wish you had the option to record a dub then save it so you could post later or add onto the video later before posting. 6.
