✓ Still needs workI’ve been using this application for years & will continue to do so, but if the bug & features reviewed here were actually fixed/implemented, I would actually pay for this app! It absolutely MUST have the longitude bug sorted, and for a C/F temp toggle. The Location search is terribly fickle - nothing like searching for a place & seeing a dozen identical results - “Chicago, Chicago, United States; Chicago, Chicago, United States; Chicago, Chicago, United States...” - all with presumably different coordinates..Version: 1.0

Try to use lat/long instead, except they force the numeric keypad which gives no way (that I can tell) to enter a negative sign to indicate west longitude. ✓ Very useful but needs fixingThe main problem is that your latitude and longitude entry keyboard doesn’t allow to enter ‘-‘ character so I can’t check locations in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia). If I enter the positive number relative to 0 like 327.33 it tells me that the number must be entered as a decimal number..Version: 1.0

✓ Wrongly shows 0% cloud under cloudy skiesOver the past couple of days, the app gave a forecast for tonight (USA location) of zero cloud cover after sunset, which means zero percent of the sky should be cloudy. Right now the app is still showing the present time (a couple of hours after sunset) as zero cloud cover. But when I go outside, 50% of the sky is cloudy. This isn’t the first time this has happened. The whole point of the app is to know the prospects for shooting the night sky, so I’m disappointed. When the sky is 0% cloudy, the app shows 0% as expected..Version: 1.0

✓ LocationsThe App is great. Nice layout. Easy to use and ascertain atmospheric conditions however the developers really need to up their game when it comes to locations. Barely any Central / West / North Highland (Scotland) locations exist. Renders the App pointless for me. ✓ Has potential, but needs workThis forecast app is usually accurate, but it can be difficult to find locations in the US. Since it’s a UK based app, it lists the county in the search function and can be difficult to actually select the right town you’re trying to search for. In addition, I don’t know why they didn’t include the seeing forecast from the Canadian astronomical forecast, which is where this app pulls data from. It would be so easy to implement, but seems like a big oversight. It would be even better if users were able to input their own coordinates of their location. Lastly, it doesn’t let you easily update your home location without deleting it and re-entering it again. If they fix these issues, it would be a much better app..Version: 1.0

✓ Good app. Bad data.The app itself is good, could use a few tweaks. Main issue is the data has been wrong both times I planned a photo shoot based on it. ✓ Need workThis developers website works well and is useful. So I downloaded this app onto my iPad and am disappointed. Firstly it isn’t truly built for the iPad. So the screen is built for the phone and doesn’t even pretend to use the entire screen. Secondly when I attempt to enter coordinates I can’t enter the longitude of the observatory because there is no negative sign or field to allow me to indicate the longitude is West. So wanting to evaluate sites in the West I can’t use the app. I’ll be deleting the app and sticking to the website. At least it was free..Version: 1.0
✓ Is it supported? Not a chance.I have never been able to enter a negative longitude number for locations in the west because they restrict the input keyboard to numbers and a decimal point. This means every US location that I can’t find in their small database can’t be added because it shows up in China. This would be an easy fix, but in 2 years they haven’t done it. Reading another review, developer states you choose any location and edit the coordinates. That’s fine, but the app only lets me edit the longitude, not the latitude. ✓ Missing lunar info and can’t change longitudeI had no issues with this app until I moved to a different location in the same city. After moving, when I tap on “current location,” the lunar info goes missing. I tried editing my new home location and it wouldn’t let me change the latitude. I deleted the old home position to re-enter my new one using a search and clicking on a position within the database and now the lunar info is missing from both my home position and my current location. Frustrating how it worked fine before when I tapped on current location and now it won’t work at all no matter what I do..Version: 1.0

✓ Promising but dated appThis app was designed for smaller iOS devices and hasn’t been updated for modern, larger iPhones. When, for example, I open it on a iPhone X Max, I get a black bar at the top and bottom of my display, not availing itself of the full screen. To make the app avail itself of the full screen would is a fairly trivial change and the fact that this hasn’t been done suggests that this iOS app may have been neglected for the past few years. Since half of all lat and lon values are negative, this is a pretty big oversight. So far, the only way I have got a negative value entered is to use the current location abilities.
