✓ BEST GAME EVER.When I downloaded this, I thought ‘ok, I have seen a couple of other people play this and it looks pretty cool’. So I gave it a go. I raged at first , because it was tricky. But, after about 10 games, I got the hang of it. Now, I play it all the time; any chance I get. I am a 12 year old, and I recommend this to anyone from 4+ years. (Just because toddlers might find it quite disturbing when your character gets squished by a car and becomes this pixelated colourful pancake🤣) Every day, I get enough coins to unlock new characters, and I don’t even have to pay for coins!! If you want to unlock a character immediately, you get to choose which one you want, and you pay £0.79. But I find I am unlocking them quick enough anyway! ✓ My favourite game😍I absolutely love this game. It’s really fun and I love all the characters I’ve got hundreds of them. Me and my little sister play this game every day for hours. We like doing the 2 player thing where you can play against each other on the same device. About a week ago my dad saw us playing on this game and he thought it looked really good so he’s got it now as-well. The past few days we’ve been trying to beat each other’s high scores and it’s a really fun game. ✓ Enjoyable but some dislikesI enjoy the game and all in all it’s a great game I just have a few dislikes about the game. First is getting duplicates, I don’t get why you can even get duplicates because you can’t use them in any way. I know that’s just so that you don’t get all the characters as fast, but I think the prize machine should just become more expensive since with duplicates you might not know if your even going to get one and then you end up spending 1000 coins on nothing. The second thing is the sea levels. Whenever your a sea character, and this might just be my opinion, but I absolutely hate how you can’t tell the different between a “railroad” and just a “road” The last thing is the mystery boxes. I noticed that once you get most of the characters the mystery boxes start giving you coins also instead of just the little money things. The only reason I don’t like this is because I have to watch an add to open them and I can get the coins from other things and when I watch the add I’d rather watch it for the money things instead of coins. ✓ Love the game but…So, this is a really great and addictive game. I could play it for hours! (And I have, lol) but I used to play it on a kindle fire and it was perfect. But now I play on my iPad and there are sooooo many adds! 😭I do not know why this is but, I hate that you have to watch an add every two minutes. I get that the creators need money somehow, but come on man! I can no longer play for two hours straight because I get so mad at the stupid adds. Maybe limit the amount or just have them to unlock stuff instead of in between every level. Again, fun game, funny skins, but if you don’t like adds, avoid this. ✓ Best Game Mobile Game of all Time!This is the first game that I ever downloaded on my phone about 6 years ago, and I have been playing it ever since. I usually download mobile games and play them for a couple of weeks until I’m bored and delete them, but I have legitimately played this game for 6 straight years. I have actually become one of the top players on the game(top 1% on the leaderboard), and this proves that the game isn’t overly difficult. The characters give you a fun thing to do while trying to climb the leaderboard for highest score, and pecking order gives you an opportunity to participate in immediate competition. There is the complaint of getting to many duplicates, but I have collected every single character in the game without ever paying a dime of real money so it is possible. Anyway the only complaint that I have is that after you collect all the characters like I have, there is nothing left to do other than improve your high score(which is still very fun.) I would love to see a new feature where you can level of your characters even if it doesn’t improve their performance(just as a way to continue progressing) or maybe like unlockable decoration and costumes for each character. ✓ Love it but....Hi! Just felt like writing a review bc idk? Anyways! This app is a great app for times when your bored or have nothing to do, so basically when you’re bored 😅. It’s a great app to play with friends as well, you can vs each other and take it in turns to see who gets a higher score! One of the things I would like to see is a customisable character, that you could like win or get when you get to a certain amount of steps, or buy for a small amount of coins like 50 coins, and when you got that character you could customise the hair and the facial expression and the clothes, it could possibly have like a pet next to it, and if you get like a limited edition pet it could upgrade you steps. Or instead of that you could have like a profile picture that you could customise. That’s just my idea, to make the game more interesting, if any of it makes sense 😅. ✓ Love it, but a few problemsI love this game! It’s really fun. There are daily challenges to compete in, fun characters, different locations, and rarely any ads. I have played it for ages and think it’s a great game, but there are a few problems needing to be fixed: 1. Sound. There is no option to turn off sound. It gets very annoying when you are trying to listen to music while playing, and then your music is competing with the sound of trains coming, cars honking or your character’s noises. Please have an option to turn off sound. 2. Daily challenges. The daily challenges are the best thing on the app. I love to compete with other players, trying to get the best score. But after you hit 100 steps, it becomes near impossible to get past anything. The cars speed up, the trains become more frequent, and there is no space to stop anywhere to plan your next step. Please make it a little easier to get past 100 steps! 3. It’s a little glitchy. If you have to watch the rare ad, it’s really hard to exit the ad. It will take you to a different page, and then when you get back to the app, it freezes, making it hard to go back to playing. I especially like the option where you can play with someone else but on the same device you can either be the chicken or the duck and play with someone. I also like playing in the leaderboard pecking orders and no matter what your score you get a prize. Also you can turn off adverts for free in settings which is also really good. The only negative would be in the win a prize machine quite occasionally you would get a duplicate but it is really easy to get coins. I love the old graphics but it isn’t glitchy and has tons and tons of characters to pick from in their categories from original cast to a whole assortment of animals and people. It has funny add ons for some characters, like the mermaid when there are princes in snorkels with a pearl in a clam and then she just rejects them and the turn into frogs and float up when u come near them, and they also have PAC-MAN and the ghosts! I’ve noticed that people have complained about the amount of duplicates you get. I know it can get annoying, but watching an ad to get it back is no hassle, so that’s what I do. Just be thankful it’s not one of those mobile games giving you ads every 10 seconds. In fact, they almost never give you ads if you don’t want one to get coins or tokens or something. So it would be kinda nice if you did remove duplicates, but I don’t really mind them either. Some people also complain about how simple the game is. (my favourite that I have is the Biryhday Chicken) I only have one idea for this app that would make it even better: So when you get the alien, you will see cows floating around you, going into the space ships. How I think you could improve this is by , whne you get the cow, aliens are just landing on earth. I think it would and just add that little but extra. I love all of the different skins that you can get and also how you can get the mystery characters by using the other characters. I like how you can watch adverts to get money but you can also turn the off by turning off your wifi which leads me onto another amazing thing that is that you can play the game in different locations without needing wifi. My personal favourite character right now is piffle which you can get completely free without having to do anything!!! It is always fun and never gets old because you just keep improving and as you do the game doesn’t get easier or boring, it gets more fun! It’s really exciting when unlocking new characters because many have their own personal landscapes as well. Other special characters have unique game play like sloppy penguin, where instead of jumping across roads, you slide down the ice in a fast paced snowy maze like map, and the beaver. My only advice would be for you to be able to buy more characters with the in game Currency , say you could buy a normal one ( not hipster whale or the drop beat or sloppy penguin and the beaver which you can buy for 10,000) say for Like 500 so if you want a specific one you can get it , but for more than in the machine otherwise people will just buy from their this will probably lead people to watch videos to get more money! ✓ Great game, but…This game has become such a comfort game for me. Whenever I’m waiting for something or someone or I’m just bored, I open this game. I love the animation, the graphics, the scene, the characters, the maps. And it’s such a simple concept. I even paid the $2 or so to not get any ads so I could play it in peace anytime (it’s the first game/app I’ve EVER spend a single dollar on, so that says a lot!) The ONLY thing that would make this game even more PERFECT is if it had “missions” or “quests” that when you completed them you can get a certain character or just more coins. You know? like “Reach 100 score for 30 coins” or “Find 25 hidden gems to unlock this character ” and so on and so on. It would just make the game feel like it has more purpose other than just getting a high score and it wouldn’t make it feel so repetitive. ✓ FabulousI have a love hate relationship with this game. I could be on it for over 2 hours and not even realize it’s been that long it keeps you so occupied. However, I have lost much sleep from it. I’ve been up at 12 trying to pass my high score and never I don’t let myself go to bed till I beat it. There should be a button where the users tap on and it opens something that allows them to type up a request for a Crossy Road character or category of characters. For example: Harry Potter, new ‘Home’ characters, board/card game characters (eg. the Monopoly Man, UNO cards, money jar [gambling money], etc.), the ant in a jersey, a ‘Summer Vacation’ category [ pool floaties, summer drinks, sunscreen, sunburnt kid, melting ice cream, palm tree, hat, flip flops, bucket of sand, seashells, lost dog collar, nail polished crab, etc.], and more. I think I’m kinda addicted a little bit. Anyways I love how different this is from a lot of other games. The animation is great for the theme and this game is very well made. I love all the different characters and that new categories are being made as I speak. The additions are great ideas for something different every once in awhile. I love the randomize button so I don’t have to pick a new different color every other playthrough. But, duplicates are a hassle. I understand why you have them because it is a randomized but after awhile you aren’t able to get one a lot of times even with the two ads. I only have a 40 percent chance to get one now. I don’t really care about the money spending part but the time it takes is my problem. Here are some suggestions! First off, for the daily challenge it’s getting a bit repetitive. We used to be able to play round after round after round after round with no fuss. It was one of the only games where there were NO adverts. And I think that’s why people loved it so much. ✓ Love it but a few problemsI love this game so much and it is so fun, I love the pecking order and daily challenges and I love certain characters that are just so fun to play as. I have a few problems with the game though, I feel as if the space levels is really annoying and I know other users of Crossy road would agree, the space levels are hard to understand because the meteors go past as the ‘cars’ and because the meteors are floating it’s really hard to tell with road they are on if the is more than one road. ✓ Pecking order issueOverall my experience with this game is good, and the new Pecking Order mode is a fun new way to play and introduce competition. However, I’ve been experiencing an issue with Pecking Order not saving my previous scores. Last night I discovered the new feature, and my challenge was to play as the Mad Bull and score as many points as I could. I got somewhere in the mid-200s, then decided to leave it at that and go to bed. This morning I opened the game again and scored very low on Pecking Order only to find that my previous score had been completely erased. I wrote this off as a connection problem last night, but later I scored in the high-500s and then played some of the normal game mode, came back and scored low and found that that score had been erased. I thought maybe the game wouldn’t save your score if you switched over to the normal game mode, but when I tested this I found that the game was saving my score of 9 just fine. ✓ Practical application.My husband is addicted to this game. To be honest, I haven’t played it yet. However he plays non stop and he NEVER plays games on his phone until this one. One why did they put piffle and waffle in freinds of Crossy instead of keeping them in their own catogory like they used to. Two the adverts. There used to be no adverts (tip unless your doing pecking order, which needs wifi, turn your phone on airplane mode it turns off the adds). Three. There is no point of getting a coin on a run because it is only worth one and you need one hundred to get a character so maybe it would be better if each coin was worth 5. You mostly get all your coins from free gifts which give you like 75 each time. ✓ GlitchesThere are a couple of glitches in this game. Some I’ve found are when you are on a log you’re about to jump on a lily pad and the log speeds up at the last moment causing you to fall of and miss the lily pad by 1 “square”. Another problem is that in the dinosaur rounds it’s really hard to tell what trains are where if multiple train tracks are stacked up. It’s also hard to judge speed of the “bouncing” dinosaurs. I’ve been killed many a time trying to get past. Also, the crocodiles eat you even if you’re not in there mouth. It gets really annoying when I am on a log about to fall of the edge and I’m like look there's a crocodile I’m gonna go jump on it to survive and it either a. gobbles me whole, b. slows down so I land in it’s mouth or c. let’s me fall right behind it’s mouth and then somehow gobbles me whole. If I were a developer I’d fix problems b. and c. Overall, I really like the game as it is challenging and frustrating at the same time. I recommend it to people who have a lot of patience. It’s overall easy- if you stay below 100 “squares”. Again, it’s a fun little game and I recommend it to people who just need a break and if you have you’re own iPad, iPhone or tablet, and you’re just like “oh so much schoolwork!” Then I recommend this game to you. The only down this about Crossy Road is the amount of adverts that are in the game, about every 2-3 rounds you play there is an advert. ✓ Perfect, Just a Few SuggestionsI’ve been playing this game for what, half a year now, and have gotten every single character and special character (meaning green token character), and it was absolutely worth it. This game is a throw back to the old days (I say that like Im old lol), and in all the right ways. But that’s my only complaint character-wise. Here are a couple more suggestions (you don’t have to listen to me, but it may help in the end): 1. Have multiple quests every 3 hours. By this, I mean have 3 or so quests that refresh after the time where you’d normally get a new quest (so 3 hours). 2. Make coins more prominent in the piggy bank character, as it would only make sense. This is kind of a dumb request, though, so don’t feel like this is necessary at all. 3. Lastly, I wish that you could choose the environment in which you want to play (for example the snowfield as the Lovely Bunny), as that would make the game a little better in terms of variety. But I understand why certain characters are selected for certain environments. 4. This is my biggest suggestion: maybe you could add a magnet feature that you could purchase (probably for like $3 or $4) that makes coins on the nearby blocks (either the 9 around or 16 blocks around you) instantly come to you. ✓ Crossy Road Review 👾This game is very addictive and fun, it may be simple but that is what makes it nice and easy to play. However, I do have an issue with Crossy Road; there are so many ads! After 1-2 rounds of playing, suddenly a yellow screen with a chicken and a chick comes up saying, “NOW AN AD FROM OUR SPONSORS”. This is really frustrating especially since I have to watch a whole 30 second ad that takes up half the game time. Fortunately, I have found a way to surpass this difficulty: all I have to do is exit the app and go back in. I just wish Crossy Road didn’t have all these ads except for when someone wanted to get free coins from the ad. Crossy Road has really downgraded since the ads. I hope the developers see my review and fix this situation because I know that lots of people are upset by this too. Since the developers and ad makers get money this way I think that the ads should at least pop up after playing 10-15 rounds so people can calmly play without all the ads ruining their time! ✓ Great Game!I think Crossy Road is a great game altogether. It’s fun and addictive. You basically start off playing as a chicken who has to dodge birds, cross busy roads, hop over train tracks and jump across rivers using driftwood. Once you have earned enough coins you can spin “the virtual vending machine” and get a new skin. There are tonnes to earn. The one downside is the amount of ads. It does get annoying because every few games or so it will give you a 15-30 second advert about some over game. Eventually you get used to it though, it’s hard to skip ads as well. I have given it 4 stars because of the amount of ads. Altogether I think it’s a fun game and I recommend playing it. I would watch out that your child doesn’t make any skin purchases and instead just earns them by playing. The game adds in this RNG system where you can get a random reward for collecting coins. Also this game has more than one game mode. There is Pecking Order, where you compete with REAL players. Two player mode. It is fun with a friend. Slippy Penguin. Which is just genius. And bashy beaver. Which is kind of like the penguin mode. But the problem is that I have 15 characters left and I would have all of them If they wouldn’t have the duplicates all the time! I know they do it for the ad’s but It gets annoying! ✓ Love the game, but the duplicates are so annoyingThis is probably my favorite game on my phone. But the adds are pretty annoying. But that’s not even the real issue. It’s the DUPLICATES!! Now, I guarantee you that every single review has something about the insane amount of duplicates. I only need about 4 more characters (from the prize machine) and I have failed to get a new character, but I have successfully lost hundreds of coins. One more thing. The “T-Coin” characters. My brother unlocked them all and he said he watched so many freeking adds to get them. The only other way to get them is if you score HIGH on the Pecking Order. So, if you could please please please please take away the duplicates, perhaps add a few more characters, create new ways to get t-coins, and reduce the amount of adds, this game would be flawless! Problem is I downloaded Piffle and started playing then when I stopped I went onto Crossy Road but it would only load until the Crossy Road logo then stop working and freeze. ✓ Amazing game that will forever be my favoriteHaving all Crossy road characters expect one is and exciting feeling, and I was able to experience that. Last year I grinded this game for hours and hours getting so much progress in the game. My high score is in the top 1% of players so yeah, I think I am able to give a suggestion. I despise the new update. It made me so mad when I opened up Crossy road discovering the new update and the new model of the game. Please fix this!! The new characters are so cool, but the model of the whole game is messed up. Coming from a lover by heart of this game, please go back to the normal game!! I am so dissatisfied with the result of the new update so please go back to the game mode where we can see our characters and if you need to select one, it is now about impossible to figure out what category the character is in so I have been really struggling with that.
