Daily Random Facts for Negative User Reviews

Widget stopped workingI loved this app and used the widget option for the past year. About two weeks ago it suddenly got rid of the theme I had been using and only stated “tap here to refresh the widget”, and nothing I try will get it to go back to normal. I’ve tapped it, restarted my phone, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but nothing works. I’m sad that this feature has stopped working for me, because it was a great addition to my home screen. Maybe it’s because I don’t pay for the app? I’m not sure what’s up with it, but it’s a nice app when it works properly..Version: 4.8

A ғᴜɴ ᴡᴀʏ ᴛᴏ sʜᴀʀᴇ sᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴀ ʙɪᴛ ᴅɪғғᴇʀᴇɴᴛI like this app and its multiple uses and the choices of theme, fonts, background images (the on-device photos/graphics, etcetera) including a wide variety of subjects and curated topics that are quite interesting and can be adapted to suit different individual interests and curiosities. Unfortunately, I don’t like that it’s a tidy sum being asked for, and I don’t use stickers or much to-the-sidewalk banter with colour commentary by Yours Truly- so I have uninstalled it. ✯✯✯/5.Version: 5.26.0

NicpipThe facts aren’t always correct.Version: 3.3

Trust but verify...This app is entertaining but before I share most of the ‘facts’ I have to take the time to verify them. Many contradict each other. For instance, which is factual: an ostrich doesn’t stick it’s head in the sand or it sticks it’s head in the sand to look for water? New facts never seem to be added and the developers need to find a better translator for some of them. After using it for a total of about an hour over the course of 10 days, it got too repetitive and boring. I’m going to deactivate it. Too bad because I had high hopes. It’s just as easy to Google ‘fun facts’ or ‘best trivia.’ Last observation: no one should be asked to pay for this stuff unless it’s a one time $0.99..Version: 2.7.7

Could be an easy easy fix - easy 5 starKeep opinions out of it, they are not facts. If it’s not an absolute concrete fact and you don’t have supporting evidence don’t put it in. Some of the facts are very vague or leave you wanting more so I will click the link to read more about it cause it’s quite interesting. Many links lead to nothing or outdated links to something irrelevant. The rest of the time this is an incredible app well worth it. Easy 5 star if those two items were fixed. Still have widget set up on my Home Screen. Still love this app so giving 3 is hard but I get bummed when link is just a general link to the Chicago Union tribune after stating; “Gary, Indiana is the murder capitol”. Ok but tell me how and why? Was there a mass murder or is it just dangerous?.Version: 5.15.0

ScamHad a great time using this app. I paid 30$ for the premium straight up and enjoyed my experience until after a week I no longer have premium. I feel cheated and would either like the premium version back or my money.Version: 4.55

Good idea but short livedThis is a good idea at the start of using the app, lot of options like widgets, Lock Screen widgets and notifications etc. But the facts are repeating themselves too often for my liking. I’ve paid for the year and wish I’d paid for a month. I’d have cancelled before the first month was over. Some facts left me questioning “who/what is that?” Because there’s a bias on the US facts. Yes I know I can look it up but why would I? Give me a fact I don’t need to double check on. One other annoying thing is that there’s been some facts that are clearly ads! Why pay a subscription for facts that are ads!? Once the subscription is over the app will be deleted..Version: 4.40

Unreliable, gets old very quickI’ve had some of my facts contradict each other (humans are the only animals known to blush, turkeys can blush) and some facts just aren’t true or haven’t been backed by anything on the internet that came up when I clicked the info button. I think after a month or two I have read every fact on there. Plus the adverts are annoying- adverts for the premium version! Can we just have all the features and more adverts? I honestly don’t mind the adverts. Disappointing..Version: 4.0.3

Good but needs workIt’s a good app but says inappropriate facts most of the time so I wouldn’t recommend this app for younger children..Version: 4.35

Not facts at allThere is 0 fact checking for some very basic and common sense things they say are facts. This app is terrible, probably less than half are actually true from what I’ve seen and reporting them doesn’t make a difference because there’s 0 effort into the actual basis of the app and all the effort is just in making money and getting downloads..Version: 4.34.6

Have to payDumb.Version: 4.45

MisleadingThe app does not disclose any sponsorships or donations, making some information biased and inaccurate..Version: 5.19.0

Great facts but needs tweaksI use the app on my Apple Watch which keeps me entertained when I don’t have my phone. My only issue is that for longer facts (1 in about 3) they go off the page with a ‘…’ and you can’t read the rest of the fact. So many interesting facts I never got to read fully!! I’ve tried clicking and long press to see the rest but it just moves onto the next fact.Version: 4.8.1

Enjoy but it needs moreI enjoy reading these but they do need more. One fact was "apples do well at waking you up in the morning" okay tell me a general idea of why/how? Because that phrase alone I'm not so sure I totally understand. They do well at that when you eat them at night? Eat them for breakfast??? Several facts were like this, just needing more. One fact showed the longest word in English, yet didn't say what that word meant. It basically said "the longest word is this: ....." like okay what is that word? I feel as though some of them just need a little extra. Great other than that though, enjoying reading the diverse facts.Version: 3.13

It wasn’t okayDidn’t enjoy the facts.Version: 2.22

Has potentialThis application has potential to be something good, it lacks uniqueness and for the most part, the "facts" are pretty bland, well known, or just stupid, this is also not an iphone app for cool stuff its a subscription which is really cringey and annoying, i would rather go on google a look up a random fact everyday for free then go through a bunch of trouble to maybe learn a random useless fact.Version: 4.32

The most ridiculous facts at a ridiculous price. The developers of this app are out of their minds. Firstly, a majority of these “facts” are not correct. Secondly, they actually want you to spend $40+tax to be able to search/choose a fact category/remove ads?! Ridiculous..Version: 3.6

Bug or GlitchI had been using this app for a while then I noticed I stopped getting notifications so I tried to open the app and it crashed immediately. I then had no control over my phone other than touching (swiping wouldn’t work) so I had to restart my phone. I tried to open the app again and the same thing happened. I tried removing the app and reinstalling and the frozen screen problem went away but the app still would not open. Shame because this was a cool one. I found a very similar one for now but hopefully you guys can figure out what’s wrong.Version: 4.6.2

Pseudoscience now a FACT??“Chinese acupuncture says you can control your appetite by pressing a flap on your ear...” This app has lost all credibility and should not even be allowed to use the name Fact for the app..Version: 3.22

Fake factsThis should be called make belief! because there’s no facts at all. If you use these facts as “conversation starters” you’ll be laughed at lol.Version: 2.21.5

Conflicted ConfidenceI love this app and have enjoyed its use however I was sad to see the facts contradicting themselves. I was told there is one chicken for every human and then a later fact said there are two chickens for every human. Either the chickens have been mating like feral bunnies in the last week or something isn’t right, can I trust any of the facts anymore?.Version: 3.3

Wow$90? For an app? Surely this is a joke. If it were even $1 I would honestly buy it but god damn it’s definitely not worth a monthly payment 😂.Version: 2.11

Not accurate infoFake info. First of all in their ad they say, “the pop sound that your knuckles make when you crack them is a bubble of gas burning”? I do not know what that means. This sound comes from the vacuum that is released between your two phalanx, the bones of your fingers..Version: 3.22

Getting repetitiveI’ve had your app for about a year. I loved it at first. Lately it’s getting repetitive and also giving silly things that are not facts - they sounds like ads!! Lame-o. Go back to original facts. There are literally zillions and you don’t have to repeat them..Version: 4.34.3

Repetitive, ugh!I don’t know what has happened in the last 6-8 months but now there are only a couple dozen “facts” that get rotated through and that is quite annoying. I’m considering deleting the ap because it’s no longer interesting. Update: 5/3/23 Same complaint: for a good long while, the facts were new but you’ve gone back to the same old boring “facts”. Some of your so-called facts are actually false. For the life of me I don’t know why anybody would pay $20 a year for this crappy app. Buh bye!.Version: 4.57.1

No in app purchasesIf you could access all the functions within but the in app purchases would be used to turn off adds and get better info and statistics. But things like creating your own mix of facts and being able to unlock all categories with adds.Version: 4.1

“Facts”?I’ve had this app for a few days now and I typically check to see if some of the things are actually factual. I’ve come across a fact that has never been verified. By anyone. And I did some digging for quite a while trying to verify if said fact was true. It makes me question if there are other non-verified “facts” they’ve added. Please make sure the facts are accurate before approving them for this app..Version: 4.37

Needs the ability to flag facts as falseThis app really needs the users to have the ability to flag facts that are false or incomplete. An example is the fact I just came across “The cartilage of sharks is in use for the cure of cancer. But the FDA has not approved cartilage as a treatment of cancer.” Which is an example of a the phrasing being badly skewed. First of all cancer is not a singular disease, different types of cancer require different treatments, and until we’re able to get cells to stop randomly mutating, there will be no cure for cancer. Secondly, the article that is linked to the fact explains that bovine and shark cartilage have shown little to no impact on breast or prostate cancer, and are only advised to be used for research purpose, which is why the FDA has not approved it, because the research does support its use as an actual cancer treatment. But the phrasing of the “fact” would appeal to someone who does not trust science and would be less likely to select the attached article, because the presented “fact” backs up their world view..Version: 5.8

MehGood app but a few complaints. Firstly not all facts are completely accurate or true. I often have to go and check if a fact is correct before I tell other people. Secondly I understand the company needs to make money but after I watch a video for a background and then update the app I lose the background I just watched a video for. Lastly a lot of these facts are centred around America and as I live in Europe I don’t appreciate that very much as it’s quite frustrating to have to listen to countless facts about the different states or presidents ect..Version: 3.30

Not factual, lolI love trivia and Jeopardy and all that jazz. I’m also a psych researcher and provider, so I enjoy reading the research papers (metaanalyses=often the most helpful) ABOUT my fun facts. Duuuude. I can’t even write in APA format here because this is ridiculous so just trust me when I say so much of this is conjecture. The most recent one that caused me to delete was perhaps the least egregious, but also the most overtly incorrect to me: finish your showers cold, so it closes your pores. It is a common misconception that pores can expand and contract, but dermatologists time and time again have demonstrated that pores do not expand and contract with heat and willpower—they’re not muscles. Hot water can make the skin appear looser (think of pruning, a more extreme version), but that’s about it as far as the myth and its possible origins. NOT the only falsehood. Ugh..Version: 5.33.0

App crashingLove the app, but not opening currently.Version: 4.6.2

EhIt’s fine but it repeats stuff a lot and the ads are so irritating, also when you try to report something as incorrect it just doesn’t let you. Like you can’t report things..Version: 3.5

Fun or Facts"If I read it on the internet, it must be true." After seeing a few clearly false or ambiguous 'facts', I went found that there were all taken from a webpage, which in turn just nicked them off a Facebook page with no other associations. I'd be pretty embarrassed if I told someone one of those facts, for them to end up correcting me and wondering how one ends up so gullible. Other than those, after a few days, the facts start to repeat themselves in the feed, and they get less and less interesting, but that's a bit more subjective so you can be the judge of that..Version: 4.0.3

Great, if the facts were true…I really, really, really want to love this app. I love the UI; it’s a beautiful widget, the app itself has a great interface, and I love that each fact has a linked article with which you can learn more. The facts are typically comical, or interesting, intriguing. However, I really can’t be supportive of a “Facts” app that is, in fact, not factual. Some are true, sure - but some facts are only semi-true, some are misleading, and one recent fact literally contradicted the article linked to it. The facts all really sound cool, and it’s such a great little app - but if you want to use it, be ready to double-check what you learn!.Version: 4.1

Used to love this appI used to love this app, but I feel like I’m being forced to uninstall it. Since the last update every time I open it I’m bombarded with ads that you cannot skip. The time spent looking at ads VS the time spent actually using the app is totally unbalanced. This is an interesting app with some great facts. However, some of the facts are a little misleading and the overall grammar needs to be improved too. Shame, after enjoying this for a few years the over enthusiastic implementation of ads means I have to find an alternative. :(.Version: 4.51.1

Helpful but sometimes incorrectI though this app was going to be good and it has been mostly, until today when I received this fact: The average amount of time a woman can keep a secret is 47 hours and 15 minutes. The amount of sexism loaded into this sentence is disrespectful, if there would be a change to this app to make it more correct and reliable, then it would be a helpful app, but how am I supposed to believe any of the facts if I receive ones that aren’t true. Please consider a change..Version: 4.8.1

Mostly goodI use it every day. Enjoy it a lot. Couple of annoyances: the sports section us the worst one with 90% facts about nfl, baseball and basketball. Stuff people outside if US couldnt care less about. Are all your downloads in US? Also in the facts about planets etc.. there are a lot of glitches with how facts appear- longer facts appear to get split to 2 pages and sometimes appear out of sequence with each other. Also when clicking on ‘more info’, you sometimes just get a keyword google search window which feels a bit lazy? Finally there are times when reading the info in the fact you realise that you sort of picked out the least factual element of the ‘bigger picture’ and in the end feels more like clickbait than great fact. I just picked the bad things which have started to grate on me after using for more than 6 months. everything aside from this is great, thank you..Version: 3.32

Interesting but unreliableI enjoy many of the facts from this app but I've also seen many that aren't true - even stated to be untrue in the information linked to the facts in the app itself. I've also seen some facts that are outright dangerous without context, like the one about apricot kernels fighting cancer. Laetrile is toxic and could seriously harm those who consume it. Editorial oversight of these facts is needed!.Version: 4.22

Great until the free trial expiresThe facts I got my first week were great, enough to make me decide not to cancel when my trial ended. But now that they've charged me £20, it's gone hugely downhill. 1) Many of the facts I'm now getting are things any first grader knows. 2) It completely ignores my category preferences. I have it set to not show facts about celebrities, for example, and I still get this kind of fact every single day. 3) Some of the facts are actually advertisements for other apps (eg if you can't solve a math problem, use app XX.) 4) Many 'facts' are untrue/unprovable, and even sexist (eg the average woman can only keep a secret for 47 hours). This app has zero integrity; don't give them your money..Version: 4.0.3

Waste of timeInstalled the app only to be told it will actually cost $30..Version: 4.0.4

CoolJust started using the app. It’s pretty cool. Only wish it’s fully free but I understand the person also needs the income🙂.Version: 3.1

Opinions masquerading as “facts”I tried the app for a few minutes since it was featured on AppStore. But I deleted it after about 2 minutes, as I was appalled by the quality of the “facts”. Most of them seemed either kiddish or something that would feature in reader’s digest in the 1990s. Too basic! Plus I was put off by them asking me to subscribe right after downloading, without even letting me check anything out (which I of course declined. ).Version: 4.18.1

Annoying on watchFor the most part it’s ok, but when you get a long fact it indicates the is more with a … but u can’t tap or scroll to read the rest, as soon as you do it goes to the next fact.Version: 4.10

Mostly good but 1 slight problem. Its a great app! Full of so many funny, cool and educational facts! But one thing I do not like about it is that you have to pay to choose categories. I do completely understand that its the way you make money, and I totally respect that! Some people do mot wanna spend money on an app that doesn’t really benefited them and is just used for entertainment . So, some facts are quite inappropriate and you don’t really want people seeing that on your screen! There are a few facts about s*x and they popped up in my notification centre and a few friends saw it and I was a bit embarrassed. I think maybe we should be able to choose facts for free but if you still wanna make money, use an ad or something. Thanks~.Version: 3.21

Worst than Christmas crackersI literally got a fact saying men are not funnier than women they just don’t care who they tell their jokes to or something and slapped in the face with an advert straight after. I don’t care about the statement but for a facts app it just promotes stereotypes tells you a crappy animal fact and sends another advert your way. Out of everything that could start up a conversation or spark interest the app is a crap generator..Version: 4.13

Fact check your "facts"I only subscribe to the history category but will not pay for others based on what I've seen so far. Many of the presented "facts" are the equivalent of click bait; skewed summations of either true, partially true, or entirely untrue information, often distilled from click bait titles themselves so there's multiple layers of lazy information interpretation and distribution (basically the game "telephone"). For example, that Shakespeare invented the words "bump" and "assassination." If you look beyond under-researched blogs to legitimate sources you find that is not true, and is actually the product of other lazy researchers who listed words in the OED dictionary as derived from Shakespeare simply because he was more interesting to read than the legal tomes and historical records preceding him that used many of the words attributed to him, which in itself is fascinating, so why distort it? (source- Merriam Webster dictionary, "Ten words Shakespeare never invented"). These discrepancies become more serious in the "facts" pertaining to legacies of genocide, slavery, sexual violence and the like that are very common in this category. The way information is curated and shared is political. It should not be treated as click bait commodity. Do better research and present information accurately. There is still a plethora of amazing and actually true facts to be shared without manipulation..Version: 4.0.3

Are they always facts? The whole purpose of this app is to share facts, not fiction, not speculation, not distortion, etc. On more than one occasion, the article that supposedly provides factual data does not contain the fact that they are purporting. This negates the intent, and reason for the app. I would like to be able to not have to always question what they are. Originally they had a button if there was a problem with the fact so that you could submit the problem, but that button seems to no longer exist which either indicates they were receiving too many errors or they no longer want to deal with them..Version: 4.48

Outdated factsSome of the facts are outdated and.Version: 1.5.3

Fun app, but not actual facts...It’s a fun app. You can customize the background, change the fonts, and have all sorts of fun. Just don’t expect to learn anything, or be shown real facts. On each fact shown, they have a little ‘i’ you can press, and see the source of the fact. And it’s honestly pathetic where that brings you on some of these “facts” On one, I was brought to a Wikipedia page. If there is one thing I learned from all my years of schooling, it was that you should never use Wikipedia as a source, because literally anyone can write literally anything. But that’s not the worst of it. Another one brought me to a GOOGLE SEARCH. The fact was something along the lines of “American coins used to say ‘in gold we trust’”. Wow! So cool! But I didn’t believe it, so I went to the little source button, and found myself at a google search page, where the search bar was filled with the so called fact. The very first website that came up was from a reliable source, and immediately disproved the “fact”. In reality, some miners were having fun and made fake coins as a joke, which had the “in gold we trust” written on them. Oh, and from a developer reply on a different review, I found that there is an email that I can voice my complains to. I plan to do that. But seriously guys, too cheap to get your own domain name, eh? I gave this app 2 stars because it’s fun to customize, but whatever you do, PLEASE do not take it seriously!.Version: 3.32

Sometimes great! But also brokenMany of the links to sources have a 404 not found landing page so it cannot be verified. Other times the page will link to an article literally debunking the fact that is posted in the app which is more than embarrassing for a trivia app - that’s worse than not reading the article you didn’t even read the full title! Other than that there are some real gems but if a source of information is this consistently unverifiable or flat out wrong it cannot be trusted sadly. There is a “report” option I’ve used on 404s and blatantly false “facts” but I never know if that’s the correct procedure or if anything is done about it. This app requires a lot of work yet before it’s ready to be used by anyone..Version: 5.26.1

Incorrect FactsMany of these facts are either incorrect or in some cases even contradict each other for example there’s one that says the amazon produces 20% of the worlds oxygen and another that states the oceans produce up to 85% of the world’s oxygen. It would be better if each fact had a listed source. It’s a cool idea for an app and has been designed adequately for what it is, but very poor quality as far as the “facts” given go..Version: 3.29

Not workingNot working!!.Version: 4.36.5

Not packing the punchGreat idea, like a word-of-the-day and Uber facts had a love child… only thing is I’ve personally looked up several “facts” either for the interpreter to failed to comprehend the article they are citing, for the sample size to be so negligible extrapolating generalized “facts” is improbable. Interesting articles, but there’s no way I’d pay money to be given more interesting statements I must then research to determine validity. This is definitely entertaining though… perhaps another replacement to other nonsensical reads in a restroom..Version: 4.38.1

Not all facts are trueFound it interesting to start with then i started telling people the facts for them to then tell me that I am talking nonsense and the facts aren’t true. I have now found out and seen that a lot of the facts are not true and quite misleading. I wouldn’t recommend this if you want all of them to be true but it’s ok for a laugh if you are dumb like me 😁.Version: 4.0.1

Not workingEver since the update the widget is white without any text. i tried opening the app, reinstalling the widget.Version: 5.28.1

Facts are sexist or depressingPerhaps it’s because I’m not paying for the premium experience, but these facts are either completely bashing men just really depressing and sad. I had downloaded to share content on a group chat but there hasn’t been a single fact that I felt I could share without either brining down the mood or getting a call from HR. Disappointing that there aren’t more cheerful facts given the desperate need for some light relief due to the torrid state of the world..Version: 5.10

Ads are annoying and app cheats. U can’t skip ads but it shows skip signApp is made or marketed by less sophisticated people as it cheats the audience. It shows can click to skip ads but that click button is to get more clicks. It cheats also the advertisers as these clicks are useless and one who is forced to click is hating both- the app and the advertiser. How shameful!!! Stop doing this before u get legal complain….Version: 4.19.1

Not factsMany of the ‘facts’ are odd or subjective. There was one particularly concerning fact about how to trick someone into giving you their real number if they’ve tried to give you a fake one..Version: 5.18.0

Liked it but it updatedI enjoyed the app, it had good facts, didn’t require internet, but most importantly I enjoyed checking my previously liked facts because there were too many to remember, but the update made it so I couldn’t even see what I liked without buying premium..Version: 2.21.1

Who wrote these? Some of the facts are good. Others sound like they were written by a 13 year-old girl struggling with emotional difficulties post-breakup. I keep getting a ‘fact’ about African grey parrots that will ‘selflessly’ help one another so long as a food incentive is offered. That’s not selfless then. I’ve tried submitting reviews to individual facts for improvement but they seem to do nothing. Same for a number of ‘facts’ that have had inaccurate wording. Others say things like ‘it’s predicted that in 2020…’ It’s 2022 already. Can’t these ones be updated? Some of the other facts are genuinely interesting, so I press the button to be taken to the source, and it just goes to a news article or even, often, a Google search. A Google search is not a source. And why show me the news article when you can show me the research paper that the news article is quoting? All in all, I like the idea of this app. But something that is designed to teach people something really needs to pay a lot more attention to the way it words itself, in order to make sure it’s not giving off false implications..Version: 4.17

It’s Ok..I mean, I haven’t had this app that long. These facts are very interesting, and I come to find they are true. A couple things, I find it weird that other people have had this app for a while and they say something like, “this app has a wonderful mechanism that makes it to where you don’t see the same fact twice!” But, for me, I’m now seeing the same fact multiple, and multiple times, and I don’t remember the last time I got a new fact.. *remember: I’ve only had this app for 3 weeks now, and don’t use it that often :( * I had their motivation app, which might I add, is VERY, VERY good! It doesn’t show the same quote twice and is very inspirational. Then I saw they had this app, it tried it, and it was amazing at first, but that leads me to, right now, my situation. Maybe you could fix this? Or add something to this app? Thanks! Btw, love what apps you make! Thank you :D.Version: 4.0.2

Inaccurate and misleadingReally disappointed!! Unfortunately, the content is misleading. For example, it was not ILLEGAL until 1836 to celebrate Christmas in the U.S. Christmas was considered a pagan holiday, yes, but it wasn’t illegal..Version: 3.32

4 ads in 2 minutes? The recent update of your app made it impossible to use the app due to all the ads. In 2 minutes i got 4 different ads, i get you are trying to make money but this is not the way. Just make the app paid and not free at this point. Horrible..Version: 3.21

No fact checking or citations/links for most factsA whole app based on “facts” where citations, or verification aren’t readily available? Most of the facts I’ve read are 1) clearly hardly copy-edited and make no sense 2) didn’t have references! The few facts that *did* have links were to random blogs that also had no scientific sources AT ALL cited, for “facts” that were misleading at best. I feel bad for people who take these “facts” at face value and trust this app... sooooo disappointing and irresponsible, congrats to the founders who are clearly taking to the idea of crowdsourcing random statements to the bank.Version: 3.19

ShockingI downloaded the app and thought it was really good the first couple of days but now I have paid for the annual subscription the app does not even load and is no longer sending me any facts so I have wasted my £20. I have deleted it and redownloaded it and it still does not work. I Will not be renewing and would not advise anyone to pay for this either. I would expect nearly a full refund but do not know how I go about getting this..Version: 4.0.2

DecentIt’s very simple and I wish the facts would get refreshed sometimes.Version: 5.0.1

MisinformationThe app is a cool idea, and I like the functionality, but the sources are not evidence based. Often times, if you click to find out the source it goes to Buzzfeed or random Google sources, which are not peer reviewed. Unfortunately, it’s this type of technology that is adding to our world’s overwhelming problem of misinformation..Version: 4.11

Gets repetitive too quicklyFor an app that I just paid 30 for a year the facts start repeating too quickly. I’ve had the app for 5 days and I’m seeing a lot of facts repeating on my screen all the time. I can understand after a period you start seeing the same facts again; but I believe it’s to soon for that for a paid app..Version: 3.29

Quality is going downThis app was great when I first installed it: actual interesting facts that I shared with other people. However, I feel that the facts are quickly running out, as the quality has gone downhill. This week I was presented with the fact “there is no gravity in space”. Not only is this completely incorrect, but the source provided was just a Google search, with the second result in fact saying “there’s loads of gravity in space”. I really don’t mind paying the £20 a year for this as it’s supporting an indie developer via a pretty good app, but goodness me, please don’t degrade this app any further and increase the quality of the facts..Version: 4.0.1

Interesting, but flawedThere are some really interesting facts on here, but it’s evident that some of the information is not accurate. For instance, it said that left-handed people on average don’t live as long as right-handed people. I was interested in the reason for this, and after looking at a fact-checking website, I discovered that it’s not true. Also, I think the payments for the special features such as no ads and being able to save favorite facts are unreasonable..Version: 2.15

Fun, interesting, not totally trueA wide selection of interesting and fun "facts". But click on the i and read the article, the facts don't tell the whole story. For instance the entire population of ants weights the same as the entire population of humans is still debated and certainly not true today. So while fun this claim is untrue.
