✓ Great App, Could Be PerfectI love this app. It's the best Hue app out there, and I've tried a LOT of them. I hope they continue to improve up their great product. My only criticism, and I write this because I hope they're reading, is that the widget space isn't used quite as efficiently as it could be. The 4 icons for varying brightness could easily fit to the right of the On/Rdm/Off switches now that the connected icon is moved. And there's quite a bit of space between the bottom of the widget and the next widget, whether your scenes are hidden or not. There's just an awful lot of unused space in general. I love how minimal the widget is, and I'd love to see it taken a step further. You guys are doing great work, and I can't wait to see how else you can improve your product. Well done. ✓ Best Hue App!Omg this is the best hue app, seriously. I've literally tried EVERY free hue-type app and even paid for a couple to try them out and this BY FAR is the best one. Very easy to use. It was so simple getting my lights & groups to sync with the app. Not to mention, it looks so attractive in my widget menu. Also, I love the dimmer! I'm looking forward to future updates! A few things I think would add to its perfection: 1. On/Off switch to turn all lights on/off at the same time 2. Agreeing with other reviews: make the last scene choice the default in that room 3. Since I'd like to use this app exclusively (without the original Hue app), it'd be great to design custom scenes within the app Thank you!!.Version: 1.4.1
✓ Absolute must for the Phillips hueAt first I didn't know what that hue tap was I thought it was associated with the actual hue tap but it turned out it works like the tap but for the iPad or iPhone. Well I've been using both this and the hue widget and together it's been a real technology leap for quick on the go.. I still think the scenes could be prettied up(just hide them) but it's not going to reflect in my review. What really made me write the review is that I just setup the groups feature so I can control on off dimmer in groups like Hallway, Theater, and Bedroom. It went from "yes I like this app and use it everyday" to "oh your b@d@ss" Just give me scene icons like the hue 😝.Version: 1.4.1
✓ Used to be a great app...This was my favorite app for controlling Hue lights. Controlling colors of individual bulbs and groups made it easy. Recently, every time I want to use it I get, “Connection to Bridge is lost.” Even when I reacquaint the app to the bridge, it loses connection. I switched to a new app for my Hue lights. I’ll check back to see if it ever gets fixed but there are some nice and reliable apps out there..Version: 2.8.4

✓ Widget onlyThis app took a few tries to find my bridge on the iPad, but got it eventually. It worked right away on m phone. This is a simple app that functions only as a today view widget. You can't add or revise scenes, just select from pre-existing ones to display on the widget for fast access. You can also make groups, for turning on or off, or selecting from a few preset brightness settings..Version: 1.4.1

✓ Ahead of SchedulePreviously I asked for a off button in scenes, but the new Hue app fixed that issue by having an off scene. Now, I know I'm asking for something a bit ahead of schedule but I recently started using iOS10 betas. I absolutely love the widget but it's broken on the beta. I think all you need as an expand button for it to work on iOS10! If you could get this done early for the betas, that would be magical!!!.Version: 2.6

✓ Great App Until Updated But !This was one of the best apps for Hue lights until the Dec 9 update . It won't connect to my bridge but this developer is VERY good about constantly updating their work so I have complete confidence they will fix this issue. This was one of the first Hue apps that used 3D Touch and added a watch app..Version: 2.4
✓ Best HUE AppEffortlessly swipe from my home screen and all my options are right there. One tap and a new scene is set for the lights in my main room. I would however like to point out a few omissions which would enhance it. 1. Lack of any feedback channel which is why I’m having to do it via this review. 2. The GUI colour picker works fine for the first three icons when in dark mode on iPhone as they have white/light text but in the scene chooser tab all the text is black meaning I can hardly read the scene description. 3. No account creation capability to replicate your settings on another device. I’ve spent a lot of time configuring scenes on my iPhone, choosing the colour and brightness for each individual bulb and now have around 20 scenes. I download the app to my iPad and realise I have to start from scratch again as the app doesn’t pick up my scenes. If I had an account/login then this function could seamlessly transfer over to any other device 4. Thanks for reading.Version: 2.9.4
✓ Has its flawsThis is the best hue widget app but it has a flaw. Yes we can create different groups but we can't assign a different set of 6 scenes to that group. I have 4 scenes for my bedroom and 2 for my living area. I wish I could have 6 for my bed and a different 6 for my living area. Essentially the groups are useless except for the fact that you can individually turn off each group. Also the iPad version should be able to fit 8 scenes since it has more space..Version: 1.4.1
✓ Great 👍After some initial problems getting the "widget' part of the app to see my bridge, all now seems to be well, and the access to various light groups via the notification centre is great. Looking forward to future updates. Update: the latest update appears to have broken my groups in the widget as none of them appear anymore 😕. ✓ Best app for hue.I didn’t like this app at first and I had also purchased the ‘connect Hd’ app for my iPad and that was even worse!!! After a while I started to get to grips with it and it’s amazing. The ‘scenes’ section is brilliant. One draw back for me is that I would like to be able to set the light level of each individual light in the scene mode, instead I have two! One to set the lights I want on and the other scene to turn off the ones i don’t need on. I’m fine with this but if there is a better way I would like to know. Really good app that gets the best you’ll need from hue! Worth the £1.99.Version: 2.9.1

The latest version to fix all my problems with the watch app. It's an incredibly useful watch app. Use both the Phillips app for just quick hits on scenes and this app when I want more finally grained control. ✓ Essential Shortcuts for Hue Lamps!This App is the work of many hours of thought, you can tell just from using it for a short while, you can have up to 30 widgets per category in your notification area, the categories are, rooms, lights, groups, scenes and imported scenes, for example I have 11 separate lights in the light section, two of these are rear up lighters (left & right) so are both together in a group, then in the rooms, specifically my living room I have both of these as well as my TV bloom & my main ceiling light, in other words you can access all of your lights without even having to open any apps, of course you have to set them up in the app in the first place which is very straight forward, you can also use the app as well if you want once your all set up. The App also supports Apple Watch as well as being universal, so you can have it on your iPad & watch too. There are also some handy buttons at the top of the very cleverly designed widget display that allow brightness change, lamps on, off & random colours. And if you purchase the IAP's you get even more functionality like double tapping the buttons for favourite colours fade adjustable brightness set in the Apps's settings & also a custom fade time as well as a favourite colour button and a global shade setting for your widgets. Then there are colour & transition schemes, all in all an excellent app that is essential for anyone who owns Hue Lamps and this is now definitely my favourite and believe me I've tried nearly all of them, my only regret was, leaving this one till near the end of my testing or I may not have bought any of the others. I suggest you get it now and make your bulbs and in consequence your life so much easier to manage..Version: 2.6
✓ IdealDoes exactly what it says and is the ideal addition to the hue app. It's surprising that Philips didn't take the trouble to include this in their app but great that somebody else has done it for them. Easy to set up but you do have to go into notification centre and hit the edit button, then add the widget before you can use it. Then you can turn lights on or off, select from your 6 favourite scenes and also dim them, all from the notification screen- so quick and handy I find I use it a lot. Terrific value for the functionality and use you will get from it..Version: 1.4.1

✓ Must have for Hue!This is a fantastic app that brings true convenience to the iPhone. I've already replaced the standard hue widget with this one. Not only is it very functional, but it's also much more aesthetically pleasing. A few things I'd like to see in future updates are: • The ability to set one default scene for the on and off switches that will override previous scene. I tend to like my lights daylight balanced as apposed to warm. • Ability to turn on and off a group by simply clicking on the group button. Say I walk into my bedroom, I simply click "bedroom" when I enter to turn those lights on and once again when I leave to turn them off. (Also tied to default scene) I would most likely use those functions the most in my daily life. Quick replacement for a light switch with hue acting as a normal bulb. I do, however, love how customizable this app is. Highly recommended!.Version: 1.4.1

✓ Brilliant App, replaced my use of AlexaFor quick, all lights on one screen access with brightness control and granular control of colour/temperature just one click away, this app is second to none. I like all of my ceiling GU10s bulbs set at different colours/temperatures and brightness settings and it was becoming a chore using Alexa to tailor them. This app changed all that. More often than not Alexa wouldn’t even recognise all of the bulbs by name. Only thing missing is being able to change the colour of bulbs from the widget view. Well I haven’t found a way to yet, maybe I’m missing something..Version: 2.8.8

But right now it just us two things for your lights, off and on. It's not worth the space it takes up in the notification Center for just that. ✓ Best Hue colour picker of them all!This is a terrific app. The design is pretty attractive (most of there apps look terrible!) The widget is serviceable and easy to use but what really sets this app apart is the colour picker. It’s brilliant! I didn’t think I’d like it from the photos - I thought I preferred a colour wheel. But this app’s picker is absolutely brilliant. I love that it cycles through the names of the colours as you move the picker around. This makes it much easier to swipe and remember the colours you may have liked in an earlier swipe (if that makes sense!) Also, the Colour Schemes in app purchase is superb. I’ve tried a few Hue apps, including iConnectHue and I have to say that this is by far the best one. I hope development continues! And thanks to the developer for making such a great app!.Version: 2.9.2
