✓ Text feature is shockingly badI don’t see the point in a text feature to an app if the program can’t pick up things like the word naughty and respond appropriately. From what I can see this app has a standard set of replies no matter what you message. A bit of a pointless waste of time. So if you want to actually show the child the text then avoid. I would change the name of the wife to Santa and do a pretend text with her before showing the kids..Version: 2.1
✓ Used to be a one time fee...This app WAS great it used to be a one time charge for premium features and now it’s subscription based. They won’t return emails if you ask them to restore your account. I set up with Facebook and the app doesn’t recognize FB anymore so all my info was lost..Version: 3.2.95
✓ Not very goodI got this app because it looked really cool that you are able to call santa and he actually replied, but then I realised (like on every app) that it is just a person with a beard on! (I know it sounds stupid that I didn't realise it before especially as I am nine but oh well). I also thought it was really cool that you could message santa too. My friend doesn't believe that he is real, so we decided to play a little trick on him to see what he says. So we sent lots of mean things to him that I won't repeat here, and he just replied, "gotta go and prepare for Christmas!" So we replied "hi santa" (yes I did mean to type hi, I didn't want to say "bye") and he just said again, "hello dear child!". It's also pretty obvious that there is only a limited amount of things that he says on messages and calls, so yea I wouldn't recommend this app. Sorry developers but this is SO NOT good if you were thinking that you would become popular..Version: 3.2.95

✓ Okay...BUTMy 8 year old daughter loved her first call. Smile on her face was priceless! Until the call ended and the “do you love this app! Rate it!” message popped up. She immediately realized it was an app that called her and was kind of upset. If you’re going to ask for an app rating, maybe it could be done at a time OTHER than 2 seconds after the call ends while the child is still holding the phone. Must watch ads and small checkmark to close them is a nightmare!!All the features I was told were free, were not included and I wasted my time customizing and personalizing my sons video from Santa. Only to find out that I had to upgrade to a premium version. Why would you ask me for that info and not tell me first it was only for premium subscribers!!! Total let down, and very typical of “free” apps these days and to be honest, it feels like it’s being purposely deceptive and I don’t trust an app that makes me feel that way. ✓ Quite scaryThis is a decent app how it phones you but my 10 year old daughter was so freaked out when she was texting Santa and he was replying to her as he was saying the answer to some weird questions eventually I had to tell her Santa was not real and that was not him even though I may have ruined her childhood either way it would have been ruined anyway I do not recommend this app to some young kids who are smart enough to read and text as it may freak them out too!.Version: 2.1
✓ Stopped workinLoved this app. My kids used to be so excited had it for over a year. Was happy to pay the cost each year. Until this year, it took my money then stopped working. ✓ I have a suggestionI have a suggestion. So great app but when you try to put your name in before you call Santa, it doesn’t really work. Me and my whole family have unique names, each and every one of us. What I really do not like is that there are only specific names that work. ✓ A call from Santa voicemail or text messageI started texting Santa on this app but it doesn't really Seem like it is the real Santa . He kept repeating things he has already said And he kept changing the subject he said I was going To get a lump of coal last year but I didn't he came to me and my little brother Robbie Tavale and gave us every thing on our list but there was not a single lump of coal so that's proval that It is probably not the real Santa ..Version: 2.1
✓ Lack of supportI paid to have a ‘visit the north pole’ video made and had trouble with the voice over saying a different age then what is displayed on the screen. I have contacted the developers multiple times and have either been ignored or not assist/acknowledged as an issue. They offer 100% satisfaction or money back yet I am absolutely not happy and they won’t give my money back. I’ve loved this app for years for my kids, now I avoid it due to the lack of assistance and resolution. Feel free to reply to any of my many email at any time with a refund....Version: 3.2.5
✓ Behind the screen... robot or human?Hi! My rewrite is that I love this app but the thing is the ‘message Santa’ I wrote something sad and it replied “Sounds great!” It talks random! ✓ Was great until update changed name pronunciationMy son has a Welsh name and last year I paid for the upgrade so that I could have his name pronounced correctly - important if Father Christmas actually calls! But after the latest update yesterday, the app has begun mispronouncing his name much to his distress and upset. I have emailed the app developers but I received an automated response telling me to enter the phonetic pronunciation into the app regardless of the fact it is there and has been for the last 12 months and until 2 days ago worked perfectly fine! We use this app a lot at this time of year but the magic is being lost when the big guy ‘forgets’ how to say a name!!!.Version: 2.2.6
✓ Must read.SO it’s a okay app. It’s things u have to pay for I suggest not to waist space on ur phone for this. Soon as I downloaded and deleted this app.. my phone has been messing up. What I mean by that is my connections slowed down , it’s takes long to send messages , gets messages & phone calls & videos. When u delete it ur phone will catch up A LITTLE but not much at all. My phone is so slow I referent downloading it. Other than that it’s an ok app. My niece believed she was talking to Santa but with the letters and other things u have to pay for to make it LEGIT meaning the names and hobbies etc. you’ll see what I mean if I download it. ✓ Was great until a recent updateThis app is great and I’ve used it for the past few years - my kids’ faces light up when “Santa” calls. However, whereas previously Santa would start the call by saying “is that (name)? I hear from my elevens that you like (e.g. bananas)”, now it just seems to start every call with “who am I talking to” and stating their age. It’s way less exciting for the kids when this happens with *every* call. Please revert to the old version or I won’t be renewing ☹️.Version: 3.4.3

✓ Three to startJust downloaded this to try getting my six year old to stop throwing a tantrum over pajamas and go to bed. So far I’m loving the call options. I bought the premium in order for him to say her name because she had just met a mall Santa and told him her name a few days ago. It helped convince her. With premium he will also mention a random interest that you add from a list during setup. As far as the text feature goes so far it seems only the prompts provided on the suggested list at the top of the screen warrants a response that makes sense. For instance: “am I naughty” got “I didn’t know that” and “am I on the naughty list” got “I see” but “Am I on the naughty list?” Got a response that led into conversation. I won’t be doing the text with Santa feature as my oldest would catch on to how odd the responses are pretty quick. So far pretty satisfied. I’ll add to my review as I use the app in the coming days..Version: 3.2.9

✓ Yearly subscriptionI previously voted this as a 1 star due to the update causing the premium content to disappear, this was rectified but now is not working again however hopefully the support team will resolve this. Be warned you do have to register an account in order to use this app and it is a yearly fee for premium content although this may well be worth it depending on your preferences..Version: 3.0.5

✓ Some endings to the chosen prompts do not make sense!* Why on earth would Santa need to go to the shop to buy “miles of wrapping paper?” He has a magical workshop for heavens sake, surely he manufactures this as well as the abundance of toys. * Also, there are many endings to certain prompts; there is no way to specify which one of these you want. For example, you cannot select to have “I must go now to take my sleigh for a test drive” each and every time. There should only be one ending to each prompt so that the user knows what their child is going to get every time. Other than this, the developers should simply add another subcategory to certain prompts to allow users to choose their own endings. * One message from Santa initially says that he has to go now to prepare for Christmas. Further on in this particular message he goes on to say that he hopes you are enjoying your gifts. Surely, the child would not have received the gifts if Santa is still preparing for Christmas. ✓ Works but owner of app should be ashamed of themselves.It works, but right when the call ends ads for games pop up. They are loud and unexpected, the kids are like “huh?” So for the first kid, I quickly come up with the fact that Santa is leaving a game for you to tomorrow which worked. But after the second kid, it was cartoon soft core porn - a woman in a string bikini hugging a man...yeah tough to talk my way around that one with my 7 year old son. I get it - it’s an app and it’s free and it’s Santa and who cares, but seriously you should be embarrassed for yourselves. ✓ Great idea!My kids were so excited to have a call from Santa! This is just great. I wish there was one choice to tell Santa that we wouldn't be home and where to find us! Update: why all of a sudden do we need to sign in? And the “privacy policy” is not available on the app. Also, even if you can have him talk to more than one kid it is not personalized.
