✓ Zero star service and zero star experienceI have purchased the hotstar through apple in app purchase and got charged the same to my credit card, however in hotstar app, the screen still asking me to select the plan and pay for it , I registered using Facebook account and calling to hotstar service on call and Facebook both are zero level helpful . I still have to pay for this separately in USA, while in India you can get Hotstar + Disney in half the price of what only Hotstar subscription cost in the US. My mom wants to watch regional Indian channels and that’s why we have this app. Whenever you pause the channel for fe minutes, and you come back to wach something else; both the channels will start together. That means, you are watching one episode of a serial and there is background sound also of the channel that you were watching before. Solution is that you have to uninstall and reinstall Hotstar to solve the problem. I have done that seven times in last three weeks. Dear technical people, please solve the problem. Mostly it will either have connection issues or just will keep jumping around the screens, so, you cannot even watch the whole over. Sometimes it will have chromecast connection errors. I believe their only priority is to show ads and not live cricket. Willow was much better, I hope these big companies realize that spectators want to enjoy the shows without ads chopping them down. ✓ Bad application for relying sports liveWhen u start the app if a live match is going on they should straight take to live… because anyhow they are taking huge ad break of 15 seconds in between every 3-4 minutes. If there is a replay it’s missed and commentary will be broken as like anything. ✓ Cannot project - bad designHotstar has built an app for phones and tablets but if you try to project this on external monitor it assumes there is screen recording and prevents projection. This is in bad taste and a very poor design. On our trip this morning kids wanted to watch the match on the cars rear seat entertainment system but due to this restriction they were forced to watch on iPad screen only. The content runs on iPad but the Smart TV display freezes with a pop up Screen Recording detected. ✓ Very poor customer serviceIf you ever had problem with the hotstar working, do not expect help from Customer service. They have hired most unhelpful agents who do not understand how customer service works and means. I lost of password and requested to reset giving them details about my account including purchase history, credit care information, my personal details but they said they can’t help if I cannot retrieve my personal email to which the password was going to. Unfortunately, I used an old email which I don’t use it anymore and don’t remember password, they said they will not provide me the password or reset link despite of all the credible information. It was disappointing. I have $99 subscription with them. It never saves continue watching for me: the choices are randomly saved like things I was watching a week ago. Even as I am watching the show...pause for a call and come back, my episode is gone. The touchscreen is either unresponsive or over sensitive (which it isn’t for any other app on the device), the menus are limiting, search facility is impossible to use so you can find what you’re looking for, choosing an episode in a series isn’t easy (Scrubs shows list of episodes for only one season but actually there are 2.5 seasons there if you allow device to auto move to next episode).
