✓ Boarding Pass & Baggage Tracking1. Digital Boarding Pass in the app/wallet is a great feature. Today was the first time I used it for my international trip and I loved it. However, I was surprised that it did not display the Gate information, neither at the originating airport nor in Dubai. Gate number is logical info on a boarding pass. 2. Baggage Tracking feature: Enhance this feature to track our bags not only when a PIR is logged but also on a as-and-when basis. ✓ Very disappointed with the customer serviceVery disappointed, I fill up all the info needed to purchase my ticket and somehow I had to confirm with my family for the trip that we are going, I don’t know somehow the purchase is completed and I called Emirate with less then a minute to cancel my flight and to purchase a new destination, but they didn’t even want to lesson my situation and charged me 700AED per person for 4 people...I ended up paying 2800 AED cancelation fee with less than 5 min wrong purchase..Version: 6.4.0
✓ Nice ideaI’m using it since it was launched but still so many bugs on it. ✓ Such a Stupid ApplicationWhen more information is required, app may show part of passport number and nationality, but require passport expiry date. Surely system already had passport expiry date too. Anyway, upon supplying the passport expiry date, app now indicates passport number and nationality data are required! ✓ Make flight ticket compulsory for eVisa and then not deliverMy country is showing on the list of eligible countries for online visa option when air ticket is purchased through emirates. However, when i went into the application itself after purchasing my flight ticket, my country is not on the list to choose from and therefore can not proceed with the visa application. Emirates office in London confirm they no longer do visas for my country, when they clearly show my country on list of eVisa eligibility. Now, the airline and hotels are not able to assist. I’ve just paid £1,085 for my ticket which I now can’t use due to their incompetence and deceit.Version: 5.5.0
✓ Don’t use them rip off thief’sSo I upgraded my seats on two flights my company booked, within a few days after I upgraded my seat, my company canceled the flights. Emirates would not refund or put toward new flights the upgrades I paid for already. This is the same as being a thief and you know there going to sell the same seats again to someone else and make double the money that is being a thief. So take your chances with them if you like to support that type of bad behavior and no help after the sale when they get your money that’s it they are done with you no service after the sale.....:(.Version: 7.0.1

So i have my membership for couple years , every time i book through the app after login to my account , i noticed that my skywards miles always showing zero. ✓ Many simple errors; changes your birthdayWhen you create an Emirates membership through the app, it insists in changing your birthday, and then of course it doesn't match your passport - just try 'Join', and select any date - the little text shows the day before. I guess they convert it to UAE time zone. assigning a membership to an already booked flight seems to work, but next time you come back, it's gone. Saved passport is not applied to flights, you have to all type it in again. Does anyone *test* the app even for ten seconds?.Version: 6.6.0

✓ SajjadI like the app and rely on it. But every time you do an update your app forgets my log in details and I have to log in again. With so many passwords I forget this one so I have to go through the process of resetting and blah blah. I can launch the app and see my up coming trip but the content is cut off. ✓ So so buggy!Totally dysfunctional. No clue why the rating here is so high. Anytime I need to make a change, no matter what it is, I get an error. It's so buggy. Also the keyboard hides the field you're typing into. This is the worst airline app I've ever experienced. I really do not understand all the positive reviews. For example I get SIMPLE_E_LENGTH_TOO_SHORT when I try to save my passenger info. Is this because some of the info loads in the app as "on file" and so is shorter than expected? More importantly why would you expose internal error messages to the user without explaining what they mean. I also often get an error when loading trip info. It says can't load, try again in a few minutes. I've gotten this error maybe 10 times while using this app for one round-trip flight. ✓ Most challenging app to useThis is my first time flying Emirates. I’ve flown all over the world on many different airlines, but have found the Emirates app to be one of the most difficult to use. I’m using an iPhone 8+ that has the current iOS, but everything from booking to setting up my Skywards account to buying my seats to checking in has been difficult. I ended up calling Emirates twice to purchase seats and then again to get my passport number entered as it wouldn’t take. And, the app kept entering my birthday in Skyward on the wrong day, too, so now I have to go through some convoluted process that can only be done from a PC to fix that. Meanwhile, I’m still not fully checked in, so guess that will happen at the airport. I’m no techno-peasant, so it isn’t user error. For what I’ve paid I sure expected better. ✓ Not a very good app :(There was a glitch when I was making my account and even though I selected my correct birthdate, it changed it so it was one day off. I didn’t notice until I created the account. You cannot change the birthdate yourself, you have to ask them to do it and send them a copy of your passport... I have a screenshot of the glitch because I logged out and started the create an account process again to see what happened. ✓ Absolutely PatheticI have been trying to get hold of their service team for a week. I am trying to checkin for my flight to the US, but I have only 2 options: I am either a US permanent resident or I cannot use USA as an option in counter of residence. Since I am only in the US on a visa I am not a permanent resident, so I can’t check in on the app. Also I have a 12 hour layover in Dubai, but it won’t let me book Dubai Connect, there is no option to book it. Even worse is their customer service, I have been calling them for at least a week, and I am always in queue, perpetually. I have a Known Traveler Number that I placed on my emirates account and every time I book a flight and get to the airport, I have to go through the long lines because emirates fails to put my KTN number on my reservation. There needs to be a spot on the mobile app during check in that people can put their KTN number in. The only spots right now is just a frequent flyer spot and to add an additional passport. Apple will not provide software update iOS 13 to an iphone 6 and I refuse to throw away a perfectly good phone (albeit purchased 5 years ago ) because of a software update restriction. ✓ Not the bestFrom a general usability perspective, both the app and website for Emirates is sub par. Often I select my flight and it just sits there saying it’s loading, then nothing. Then I hit it again and it stays loading this time, forcing me to reload the app. Everything takes longer to load than it should. I’ve tried from different WiFi connections and over 4G- just seems that the API sitting behind emirates app is very slow. One of my favourite airline apps is Air NZ- it’s fluid, fast and I can perform transactions without failure. Work on this and I’d rate this app higher..Version: 6.5.1

Emirates the airline for me deserves a 5+ for their service and safety but not so this App....I spent 3 (three) days trying to purchase a return ticket Juba to Tampa. The first day system stopped the booking at some point advising something like the seats reservation was experiencing problems (or could not be allocated...) the price was something like $2576; the second day to my surprise the price had increased about $30 so, I tried booking again several times stopping always at same point, so decided to do a reset (in case it was my phone...) but still unsuccessful. The third day since I knew the drill of the price increase I did not get surprised and kept trying... so the price had already passed to about $2636 so I got so frustrated that decided trying to book with my miles but at the end could not; so, finally opted going via another airline and bought the ticket in a nick of a dime with their app just to see now an update has arrived for Emirates App but for me was too late...(if it indeed works as it should be). ✓ 16 hours connection with no hotel roomIt was a terrible experience and the representative of their connection office was very rude. As a normal protocol I should be offered a hotel room as my connection was 16 hours which is more than 10 hours but they let me stay all this long time at a cheap lounge. Additionally, I submitted a feedback regarding this experience with no answer till now(as I expected) before almost a month. Never repeat this experience again with your service. ✓ NEVER FLY EMIRATES OR FLY DUBAIAbsolutely the worst service, hidden extra baggage fees, I couldn’t add an additional bag online, the system wouldn’t let me, I emailed & called them. They said I had to check the extra bag at the airport & there was no guarantee that it would get on the plane. In the end they charged me 270€ for the bag & said I was supposed to call them 24 hours before the flight. Their won’t be a next time. I wrote to them after the flight, they said it’s my fault for not calling them 24 hours in advance, when trying to check in. I could pay for a seat but not a bag and no where does it say to call them. This is the 21st century this should be handled on line. Every other airline lets you check In baggage on line. ✓ Poor AppTried for a week to purchase specific seats for 2 long haul flights. Got to payment screen and it would not allow me to select a payment method. Constantly receiving a ‘due to technical error...try again later’ message. Also took a few days to allow me to enter my passport information and nowhere to add my card details. I have since made contact with their customer support to purchase my seat selections however this is not reflected on the app. Paid £21 for my first flight seat and £25 for my second flight seat. However the app shows I am yet to purchase a seat for my first flight and on my second flight, a seat is selected (as a complimentary seat? Which I would assume is free). ✓ Two problems with this appMy experience with the check-in on the app had two problems: 1. If you are on a transit through U.S the app still requires an address in the U.S even though you are only on a short transit there. I had to put the address of the airport to continue with the Check-in. 2. After you check-in through the app and it’s complete it will surprise you with a message that your mobile boarding pass is not available. So you have to check-in at the desk physically now to get the boarding pass which makes the process redundant and useless.Version: 11.2.0
✓ Getting betterFinally the app is getting more user friendly. Would be great if it stored all the information we put in - it’s annoying having to enter the same passport details each time we want to check in. ✓ App crashes constantlySince the last two updates, the app crashes nearly every time I want to use it for my itinerary showing the fault indication: “we experience a technical problem, please try again later”. I have tried to restart my phone, delete the app and reinstall it, yet no improvement has been observed and I believe some necessary work needs to be done to fix the functionality of this app. The maximum rating is 3 stars which is only for the diversity of the menu. ✓ Frustrating & buggyThe multi flight search has become terrible to search for flights for a price. It was never like this before. The last destination always seems to be the problem with seats not available or flights not departing which I know for sure is not the case. ✓ Last tripI always thought Emirates gives best travel experience. This is the second time i have booked emirates and this will be my last trip using Emirates. I booked my last tickets through app. Price aren’t cheap compare to other Air lines. I thought service will be good. Nothing better than other Airlines. Actually it’s worse. The food they serve in the flight is not eatable. Flight attendants walked pass me without serving my food. One of the passengers reminded the flight attendants about my food. ✓ Buggy - session timeoutsIt’s a shame but things seem to have gone backwards with recent updates. Carrying out functions such as selecting seats or booking cars often results in “Sorry your session has expired” even after re-starts or reinstalls. I appreciate you are hooking into a bunch of back-end systems (some of which are probably third party) but maybe caching what the user has requested in the app and having a retrying capability if there’s a timeout might be a reasonable compromise that might have people less frustrated?.Version: 6.2.0
✓ July 2023 updated app is still not workingButtons don’t do anything. Screen are stuck with a blank page and doesn’t load. When trying to login to skywards the submit button doesn’t click. ✓ ExceptionalCheck in was fab but trying to select a premium seat was a nightmare it wouldn’t let me pay for the upgrade seat and therefore the seats were not what we wanted but had to make do. I chatted to someone who said only way to get better seats was to go into or call local office which wasn’t an option for us. It was rediculous especially after paying so much for the family to fly Emirates the customer service and app failed miserably on this point. ✓ So many faultsFor goodness sake, please get some PROFESSIONALS to check the app. And include functionality. Live help text input blocks, causing “are you there” see transcripts!! Then everything is oh the app cannot send photos, oh the app cannot do anything, ASK YOUR OWN CALL CENTRE ! Info is not retained, have to start over all the time. Important confirmation ($2000 paid hereis your reference) overwritten half a second later with “do you like the app?” NO. Unprofessional programming and design. Emirates brand tarnished. ✓ Completely nonfunctionalThis is one of the worst airline apps I have ever had the misfortune of trying to use. For the entirety of our trip from San Francisco via Dubai to Tehran the app was timing out on trying to retrieve the booking. Online checkin wasn’t working either. Deleted the app and used the mobile website, which coincidentally isn’t much better, but at least online checkin sometimes worked. ✓ Failed to complete booking but charged cardSo I tried to use the app to book a flight over the holidays. The process went smooth until the credit card was charged. The app said the charge failed. I know my bank can be a little defensive so I just used the web and a different bank card. But when I looked at the statement for my original card, the charge for the flights went through. Called the help line and they had me fill in a request for a ticket refund. They had to give me the reference number and ticket numbers to submit—I never had those. Now I wait 14-21 days for a refund to my credit card that should never have happened. Bottom line, use at your peril and watch your bank statements..Version: 5.5.0

✓ Getting stuck a lotI got stuck a a lot, getting same error message about technical problems with the app, please try again later. And I did, for four weeks. Restarting the app didn’t help either. ✓ Lots of BugsWhen choosing your nationality; it’s usually a simple task. Great Britain, United Kingdom? None of which available. England, English? Nope. British? Nope. It came under ‘The’ United Kingdom. Very bizarre. Also... you can not paste a telephone number in the next of kin details. Well, you can, but it’s not recognised. It had to be deleted and re-typed. My surname has a hyphen in the passport. This was not allowed. Finally, it offers in the app to upgrade seats. When you try, this is unavailable and tells you to contact the airline. ✓ You cannot contact the airlineThe app works fine for booking trips, changing seats, and checking flight updates. However if you find yourself needing to change your flight, even if you purchased a flex flight, the related page runs into “technical difficulty”, and that happens consistently. ✓ Not convenient at all.I add my reservation to my app using the reservation number and it should apply my Skywards number and details to the booking but instead I have to then enter all details manually, Skywards number, passenger info, passport details. ✓ Unable to access features unless you book through Emirates?I have booked flights using Emirates through qantas and using my qantas frequent flyer number. Due to this I cannot access any of the features? Like trip updates/ playlist syncing etc? I chatted to Emirates who agreed it wasn’t possible. The app itself appears useful but it seems irresponsible to exclude so many of your travellers Happy to be wrong about this.
