DuetDuet works perfectly for me. No problems.Version: 2.1.8

Quit advertising the subscription planFirst off, the app and software itself is excellent. It does exactly what’d you’d expect and it does it pretty darn seamlessly. Though I don’t appreciate constantly being reminded to buy a subscription plan. I’ve already paid $20, if I wanted a subscription plan I’d seek it out. I mean, after logging in on the website the first thing you’re greeted with are the options for which plan you should purchase even after paying for the app. I have to click around and search longer than I should while trying to find the download .exe when installing it on my computer. On the app itself you can’t alter any of your account settings either. The only way to access your account settings is to click a link on the app and guess where it redirects you, right back to website asking you what subscription you want! Even when logged into the website the only options when you click on account settings are “Logout” and “Current Plan.” At least give me the option to change my email and password. Really frustrating..Version: 2.4.17

Great product and supportI am using duet since 2018, today I download latest version of duet for Mac, it is not connect anymore, after one email communication, they helped me downgrade to one previous version, it solve the issue. thanks..Version: 2.4.7

Best app I’ve purchased in 2020I’ve been looking for a while for portable 2nd monitor to accompany my notebook. Thought about purchasing one of hese fancy gadgets that attach to the notebook itself. However, never thought about turning my iPad into a 2nd monitor until I researched and came across the Duet app. It’s been fantastic, and works well connected to a windows PC. The only small criticism is that I need to open iTunes on my windows notebook to trigger the connection. Also, if my PC goes into sleep mode, I will need to close and re-start Duet app on my PC. Otherwise all other features are fantastic!.Version: 2.4.24

First-Round KnockoutDuet has exceeded my expectations as a second monitor application for the iPad. The pen input works great, the resolution automatically resizes whenever I flip from landscape to portrait mode for long writing or reading in a vertical window. I love that I can use it in my desktop setup, or open the application up when I’m out and about and have Apple Pencil support just work. it’s… *chef’s kiss* I don’t think we’re ever going to get Sidecar for Windows from Apple, but at this point I don’t care. Duet is everything I need it to be. I would prefer to use this application in a wired environment as opposed to wireless since I’m on the other side of a small duplex unit from the router. The connection strength still manages fine however, not glitching in any way that would annoy me unless I was watching a video on that screen due to non-frequent jitters, but video would be better displayed on your main monitor in this setup regardless. Since an iPad Pro will -not- charge on the typical USB 3.0 ports from 10 years ago, I’ll add a usb-c adapter to the ipad to have both USB out and power to the iPad separate, but it is worth mentioning to someone who is looking to work another display into their workspace. It’s easy to have your desk become a mess of wires from living the iPad dongle life, so a little bit of pre-planning goes a long way. There is one weird issue that I think is limited to a Windows thing, bug -some- applications, when you close duet, as you would unplug a display, it keeps the window position on the display duet was using and then it will seem like your program just isn’t booting properly. Support has also been great for resolving any issues or questions I had (right click two wallpapers in a folder and set them as a wallpaper to have multiple wallpapers working, there I just saved you some time :D ).Version: 2.4.7

Works as expected.Using it on a home built audio production rig this app works well. Took less than 5 minutes to install and extend the desktop, it’s default setting is to the right of your existing monitor so some digging into windows display settings is necessary if you plan to position the iPad differently. In my case it’s located under the monitor showing an spectrum analyser, oscilloscope, sonogram and stereo image graph depending on the job at hand also very nice to be able toggle between them and change settings using the iPad touchscreen and Melda’s Multianalyser. Doesn’t get 5 stars though because as others have mentioned there is a slight lag which is barely noticeable but definitely there..Version: 2.2.6

Works well, only small complaintsThe functionality is good, it looks good on my iPad Pro, the picture quality is kind if like a Windows screen with pixel scaling so it’s just a little blurry, but it does give you a proper second display with just a little lag. One thing I didn’t see mentioned in reviews is how much CPU the Windows client uses. My Lenovo X1 6th Gen with Core i7 is pegged at 30%-40% CPU constantly when the second Duet display is active. This makes the laptop run with the fan on all the time. When I disconnect it from the power source it uses less CPU for some reason, around 20%. Why? Fix it. Also, when you close the app on the iPad and re-open it, you need to exit and restart the client on Windows which is annoying. Took me some time to figure that out. If you don’t, the Windows client keeps restarting and spams you with notifications. If it wasn’t such a CPU hog and wasn’t so finicky with reconnecting I would give it 5 stars. I also find it somewhat expensive, but the free apps are nowhere near as good, I tried them. Edit: the CPU issue was fixed by the developer after I reported it, now the CPU usage is barely noticeable..Version: 2.3.0

SAVED MINE & MY MAC’S LIFE!!Do I got a story for this review! So my cat knocked my MacBook off my bed, my mac slammed shut and I was freaking out when I opened it! I couldn’t see anything on my display! It was lit up but it was black. My keyboard was lit up and I can hear my music still going, so I know my Mac works just can’t see anything! And I was working on my midterm paper which was due in 2 hrs!! My boyfriend gave me the idea to plug my Mac into my TV as a monitor and it worked! I finished my midterm paper, but using the tv as a monitor wasn’t the best option. I have an iPad Pro, so I looked into seeing if I could use that to mirror off my Mac. That’s when I found this app!!!! The holy grail! It does everything it claims! I connect my Mac to my iPad and I can do everything! No lag either and it’s clear! My favorite part is that I can use my Apple Pencil on the iPad to move things around on my Mac! This is my first and probably only review I will ever write for any app! It saved my life and gave me a peace of mind that I can still use my Mac. Once I get my Mac fixed, I’ll definitely still use this app! 500% recommended!!! Whoever developed this app, you the real MVP!.Version: 1.5.7

MrTotally disappointed with this app, not only is it expensive to purchase but they then try to fleece you for a subscription. deleted in under 2 minutes. Ripoff!.Version: 2.4.17

More real estateI am a teacher and due to recent event I have had to teach remotely. Meaning using my MacBook Pro (late 2012) to resource lessons and communicate with students and colleagues on line. Juggling so many tabs I realised I needed a second screen. I have an iPad 2017 (I know I sound like an Apple fan boy, but they do work well). I came across this app, Duet Display. The app seamlessly allows me connect the two devices together giving me greater work space to do my job more effectively. I was so impressed I bought the..... sorry I was so impressed I told my friends to get this app. Well done Duet Display an app that works straight out of the box slash the App Store..Version: 2.2.7

Phenomenal App and Equally Phenomenal Support!I have Duet Display running flawlessly on multiple laptops and multiple iPads—truly an amazing app that is rock solid even on Big Sur. I’ve even breathed new life into a longtime defunct iPad 2 which otherwise would be just a paperweight...using a new M1 MacBook Pro. I find that incredible and how the developers have passionately cared to keep this app fully functional across so many MacOS and iOS updates. And I know this for a fact as the support team seemed ready to stop at nothing, including weekends, to insure I was able to resolve an issue that I had. I was gobsmacked at the expediency of their in-depth and patient replies as we diagnosed and resolved the issue. After dealing with support teams from across a myriad of products, this Duet support and development team is easily the best I’ve encountered. This five-star app stands on its own merits but has the added bonus of a stellar and caring support team. We need to support developers like this..Version: 2.3.0

Duet’s Teleprompter ModeI use an iPad with a Teleprompter to produce videos with keynote slides. Prior to using duet’s Teleprompter mode I had to extract my notes from a Keynote presentation and paste them one by one into a Teleprompter program, which would flip the notes so they could be viewed on the Teleprompter. This was very time consuming. It was also difficult keeping the notes in sync with the corresponding slide when doing the video presentation. However, with duet’s Teleprompter mode, I can do the video recording using Keynote, which shows the slides on the computer screen and my notes in the Teleprompter format on the iPad. This keeps my notes and the slide in sync during a video recording. It also saves a lot of time not having to cut and paste my notes into a Teleprompter program. This is a BIG help! Thanks..Version: 2.18.0

Fantastic developersI had discovered some lag in my specific combination of devices and they had a fix available to me within 24 hours. Couldn’t have asked for more!.Version: 1.5.2

Great appMaking working from home so much easier..Version: 2.2.7

Where has this been all my lifeI have never watched an entire YouTube Ad and clicked on the ad for an app and bought it on the spot... UNTIL NOW. Works perfectly with my MacBook Air + iPad Mini + external monitor. The tablet still remains a touch screen even with the pointer going over. You can still rotate the screen. This is one of those little things that I feel Apple should have nailed years ago. I would not have bought my second monitor last year if I knew about this app! Very worth the price!!!.Version: 1.4.3

Perfect for meHave been using Duet for a couple of years, Duet works well with my HP laptop and my IPAD. I use my iPad as a second screen. Don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have Duet..... well I do, I would have to spend hundreds. Duet support are also very prompt and helpful. Had to contact them as I couldn’t reset my password, they took no time in getting back to me with a solution. So there you have it Duet is very recommended by me, thank you..Version: 2.3.0

Works smoothly; great customer serviceI bought this to use my iPad Air as a second screen for my Surface Laptop after initially presuming it could not be done. This app works perfectly, allowing me to extend the screen of my laptop with almost no lag. It is simple to use, you just need to install on both devices and then plug them in. In addition, when Microsoft released a Windows update the app stopped working (the windows update broke a lot of things) so I contacted Duet and they responded immediately, explaining the cause of the issue. They provided an update that fixed the problem and notified me- the app now works perfectly again. The response was quick and personal and I was satisfied by the resolution- overall fantastic customer service..Version: 1.5.2

Excellent serviceI had an issue using the app with my old MBA. I contacted support and they gave me satisfactory work around using an older version on the OSX app. Then then some weeks later they got back to me with a new version of the OSX app which works perfectly for me. Fast, smooth mirroring and extended screen at maximum resolution. Very happy with the product and the service..Version: 1.5.6

Great App for Productivity Supported by a Hardworking TeamDuet display has been excellent for me as a student and small business owner so far. It allows a seamless transition from working at home on my windows based computer with 3 monitors to my portable setup with my MacBook Pro/IPad and allows me to have more screen realestate without compromising battery life or having a large system to carry around with me. I recently had an issue with my duet display not functioning and caused me great frustration. However the duet display team contacted back very quickly (truely sticking to their aim of responding within 12 hours) and helping me through the process of repairing/updating the software which had been affected by the new Apple MacOS update. I don’t write reviews often, but when i do, it is for something i truely believe is doing a great job. Thank you to Hector who helped me with my predicament and keep up the hard work with making a great app. If you have any issues, contact their support team. You wont regret it..Version: 1.5.8

Works perfect for years!I’ve been using Duet for years (since it came out) and recently had a great experience where Duet helped me migrate to the new subscription model they have. The app works great as it always has and it’s making my life a lot easier when I travel and need and extra monitor! Love it!!.Version: 2.20

Surprisingly EffectiveAfter uninstalling and missing a few updates, I thought I might reconsider using the Duet Display Pro app to assist with a few current projects. Replacing my Wacom tablet was not a viable option for me due to budget constraints. I have to admit I was quite surprised to see how much the Duet Display Pro app had improved as far as functionality. Previously the pressure sensitivity was not stable enough for my needs and it felt clunky, very slow and cumbersome. Now it is as smooth as silk. The pressure sensitivity is very on point as well. Since I am using the pro version, it also allows me to connect to the desktop wirelessly. So now when I need to work with certain animation and drawing applications, I don’t need to be chained to my desktop computer. Although it is still not as responsive as I would like regarding speed, considering that I can work in a mobile capacity, have accurate pressure response and I don’t have to fork out 2k+ for another Wacom, this suits me just fine. Looking forward to what future updates will bring to the table. I high recommend purchasing the Duet Display Pro app..Version: 2.1.8

Best add on for Mac purchased yetThis add on for the Mac is excellent. For $18 I get another screen and it works seemlessly. Currently I’m using this with an iPad Pro Jumbo and MacBook Pro. The extra display has added an extra dynamic to my work. I can work with my laptop connected to an external display in clamshell mode and the use the iPad as a second screen. Using the Citrix connect software I use to connect to work means all screens are utilised meaning a much better work experience..Version: 2.1.3

Mac Mini with 3 Monitors At LastI have a 2012 version Mac Mini, the last version that permitted hardware customization. I’m running it with 16 GB RAM and two drives, one an SSD; all after market add-ons. It’s connected to two 1920x1200 monitors. There are times that I would like to have a third monitor, but that’s not an option. Believe me, I have researched it. Duet Display has provided the 3rd monitor solution, with my iPad Air 2. I regularly research and write. With Word in one window and Excel in another, it’s nice to have access to Safari to check things. It took 5 minutes to set up the location of the iPad screen, by default it was between the two monitors, and set the iPad’s resolution. It was important to set the proper resolution, enough to match 1920x1200 monitors so that I could drag applications to the iPad, but still large enough to be legible. I’m totally delighted with the results. I was not interested in upgrading to a newer Mac Mini, or iMac, because of the cost and the customization limitations. I also prefer discrete monitors rather than creating windows in a high resolution monitor. It’s more comfortable working with two 24” 1920x1200 monitors than even a 27” 5K monitor..Version: 1.5.2

A great appI regularly use my iPad as a second screen on my PC, using duet. It is brilliant, and works very easily, with no complications..Version: 2.2.8

So much better than SidecarI've been using Duet for ages. Now that Catalina is out I thought I could replace this third party app with Sidecar. I could not have been more wrong about it! Sidecar works... sometimes. For no apparent reason it refuses to start at all, disconnects randomly or – my favorite bug – displays everything squashed, like someone forced the aspect ratio to be 16:4. No amount of rebooting devices, reconnecting to WiFi or praying to the IT gods seems to fix it. All the while Duet just works. Connect the iPad, screen's up. So simple. Every time Sidecar failed, ie every day the past month, I just launched Duet and I had a second screen. Flawless! Duet also seems to be more responsive than Sidecar and has more options for resolution, performance vs visual clarity and refresh rates. These are irrelevant with my iPad Pro but they made a great deal of sense when I had an older iPad Air 2 until a year and a half ago. Dropping the frame rate to 30 and putting settings to medium made it very responsive for me. Apple did a poor job at copying Duet – in typical Cupertino feature copying fashion. I think I’ll stay with the original. Thank you to the Duet developers! You are the saviors of my productivity when I am not at my multi monitor office setup. With the Covid-19 quarantine this is basically my every day now so a big, massive THANK YOU is in order..Version: 2.2.6

So close to perfectI love this so close to perfect. Had some minor issues with the server app. Both Mac and Windows it won't let me set the resolution to match the iPhone 4/4s. This seems to be causing some display issues when using them. I'd also really like the windows and Mac editions to have the same user experience and options. The only other thing I can think of is support for more than one device at a time and to be able to use it over wifi. I know you went sub to avoid the issues of competitors but it would be nice as an option..Version: 1.4.3

Awesome App and Unparalleled Support TeamI got this app hoping to use my iPad Pro as a second monitor for my PC computer. After installation it worked like a jiffy, and not only was it a second screen I could use the touch screen of the iPad to navigate in web browsers, pc file explorer, etc. I then encountered my first issue: when using the software Ableton Live 10 the touch feature stopped working. I reached out to the support team and asked them if they could help me resolve this issue because I knew from the introductory video on their website that the touch features of Ableton live should be working. They responded back in the matter of minutes (on a Sunday!). We went back and forth for a while and it became evident that I had somewhat of a unique problem so they decided to forward my info to the dev team for testing. About 2 days later they came back with a solution that worked (I was running Ableton live as an administrator - this function needed to be turned off). Duet Display is a fantastic app that allows me to use my iPad Pro like a pc, while also being able to switch to iPad apps fluently. I can use the Live 10 software in a whole new way. This team is here to stay. I am very impressed by my whole experience with this app/team. Definitely worth the $10 download price. Shout out to Sergio from Support!!.Version: 2.3.0

A complete game changer for the iPad.This app has changed how I use my ipad. I used to only expect to use it for reading music and watching movies and games, but with this app, suddenly I have a second portable moniter to take anywhere I want. I have the larger ipad pro which means that the screen is actually bigger than my laptop screen. I use it every simgle time I use my laptop, which means I now use my ipad multiple times a day. I do web development so having a second moniter (even at Starbucks!) means I can actually do my work effectively. Now, I gave 4 stars out of 5 because this app does have some problems connecting - I often get the error on Windows that "the last device connected has malfunctioned." It used to mean a lot of hassle, but with the latest patch it's not so bad. It just means I have to stop the app, reconnect the ipad, and it usually works on the second time. I figure these issues will work out over time and I will certainly notice them because I use the app so much. Thank you for adding this amazing functionality to the ipad! Like I said, it's a total game changer. ... about a month later, I'm still having issues with connecting. It works about 50% of the time. I often have to try multiple times or restart my ipad. Unfortunately I've had to move my rating down to 3 start, hopefully they will fix these issues and then I will be back to a 5 star rating!.Version: 2.1.3

AmazingThis is such a great app for maximising what an I pad can be I use it with my mid range Hp laptop and it works fine my iPad isn’t even the latest thing it’s an air 2 showing you don’t need a pro or something that costs the earth to get it to work. I wasn’t 100% certain on how to set it up at first as I’m not the most tech savvy person however I sent an email to the team and heard back in about 20 mins they spent time going through the possible issues until I knew what to do the set up was simple and they guided me through it, most people probably wouldn’t need this assistance but it was some of the best for speed and efficiency. The app works great and helps me cut the time it takes to do things drastically it is legitimately worth it and if there are any issues I find it hard to believe contacting the help team wouldn’t sort it as they are so efficient. I never had twin displays before so never knew the benefit now I not only have one but an ultra portable one that I use on a daily basis. Genuinely one of the best apps for productivity out there and I can’t recommend enough especially for editing things like photo and video if you need to constantly switch between windows and programs such as Vegas pro ,paint ,after effects or just the file explorer . Being able to drag and drop from the file explorer directly to Vegas without having to minimise or alter anything is amazing and time saving..Version: 2.1.3

Crashes anything that requires direct xPc users do not buy this software, it is advertised as simple and perfect but has a number of flaws. Firstly it uses about 50% of my high end i7 cpu at idle as well as 20% of my gtx1080 which is far too resource intensive. The windows software will crash all direct x dependent apps also. This is not worth money..Version: 2.0.4

Great support team!Wonderful app and the support team are very helpful..Version: 2.2.8

Problems SortedHad an issue, the iPad would not connect as second screen, contacted the team, response quick. Process a little convoluted but it worked. Great to have the confidence that if there is a problem the Duet team are there to help. Issue was latest windows 10 updated ok but Nividia drivers did not update, updated , resynced iTunes and away we go👍👍👍👍👍.Version: 2.2.8

Launching duet errorAfter setting everything up for application to be get started on my ipad and macbook pro i keep getting stuck at “launching duet” page. after spending hours on reading different articles to fix it but i couldn’t. Even subscribed to pro version to check if it would work but problem was still there..Version: 1.5.9

Really good! Using MacBook Pro 2013Very good! Not perfect. But very good, and your best option imo..Version: 2.4.6

Better and cheaper than Astropad.Initially this app has some weird issues when used over WiFi. The featureset was different and the on-screen control Overlay at the bottom of the screen was not dismissible, causing it to block the windows taskbar. All I did was tweet at them and they fixed the issue and pushed the fix to their production environment in less than a week! They even asked me to contact their support email in reply to my tweet and I didn’t because I’m honestly just jaded when it comes to developers telling me to open a ticket as it’s almost always a waste of time. This is NOT the case here. Their support is very proactive and acted in my issue despite me not even doing my part to properly outline the issue in a support ticket. Very impressed. And they saved me tons of money that I almost spent on Astropad. Astropad is a good app but the price is so outlandish that there is no comparison between the two. Go with Duet..Version: 2.4.18

Blow the dust off the old iPad 2!I do have a newer iPad mini, and after a few goes with duet I was sold with the idea! Then I got the idea to try the old iPad second gen. I was disappointed that the app said I needed ios10. Thats when I got an email from duet to see how I like the app. I expressed my desire to use the old iPad and they directed me to tutorial to get the older version of the app. Since then my iPad 2 is back in action! Awesome customer support and great product. *picked up a little picture frame easel from the dollar store and my fuel screen setup is complete..Version: 2.4.11

A very good productDuet works exceptionally well it links both wired and wirelessly with ease and the response with both connections is smooth. Recently I have use duet as a second external monitor and had a good experience. However, I am using a second generation IPad which may be the reason there are occasional lock ups. Overall a very good application..Version: 2.2.8

The app is good and the support team is divineFirst time i write a review on App Store because i was amazed by the Duet support team. The app worked very well with my iPad 4, which is so obsolete right now it can’t run any other app smoothly. The iPhone screen is quite small to be used as 2nd monitor so i passed on that. So everything is fine as i expected, up until about recently i get stuck at “Launching Duet ...” screen. As a normal human being, i tried FAQs, Google to find answers but there is no working solution. So as a last resort i turned to support, got an automatic reply email and went to bed. The day after that, i found out that they replied literally 5 minutes after that with a few questions and a solution. That didn’t work right away but that just make me wished i asked them sooner. They kept providing me solutions after solutions, we exchanged emails for a week trying everything, they rotate 3 people in to help on my issue. The team is very polite, specifically pointed out every step along the way, never loose patient and always reply within the hour. After all it was a dumb mistake on my part, so everything is working normal again. I have to say i worked with many support teams about many issues including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Steam, and dozens of app and game developers. This is hands down the best experienced i had working with any team. The app maybe not the best but the team is perfect, and they keep improving with each update..Version: 2.3.0

Amazing app! This in my opinion is totally worth $10 because in my case, unlike many other reviews, this app delivers a really smooth experience! Although more work could be done in terms of resolution and touch support at least for Windows clients..Version: 1.4.3

Essential. Excellent support from developersThis is essential for me to provide an extra monitor while travelling. I’ve used it for >3 years. Occasionally it breakers down with OS updates on Mac or iPad but astonishingly I’ve found I can email the developers and they will respond with a solution within a few hours. Whatever time it is and wherever I am. This is exceptional and means I will continue to support Duet forever..Version: 2.1.3

Perfect Solution (but now less reliable)Ok, so I could buy a portable monitor for a 100 bucks or more, probably with crappy resolution and no other functionality, or I could spend an insignificant amount of money on a app takes advantage of the equipment I already own and travel with, offers excellent resolution, and no delay. The choice is clear if you need a second screen and you use an iPad. What's even better is that I can switch back and forth from second screen to iOS without a missing a beat! Windows or OSX works great. For me, it is one of the most useful apps in the App Store. My only complaint is that it seems to require a lot of battery power even when the screen is not in use as an extra monitor. My other complaint is that is that I use it on a computer for which I don’t have admin privileges. This means when an update is created (especially one that prevents the program from working in the future) I have to put in a work order and wait to get the update installed. That’s a pain..Version: 2.4.15

Better than expected!I saw this app advertising a lot recently and I was a little bit put off by the price but I thought I get it. Works amazingly. It is as simple as plugging your iPad into your computer and launching the app! You do have to install an app on your computer (that never opens for me but still lets you use your iPad as a monitor) but when you’ve done that it’s all automatic! You can use this as a second monitor as advertised but it’s handy when you need more room and your desk. You can have your laptop right next to you (on the floor or somewhere else depending on how long your cable is) and you can use your iPad as a Mac/ windows computer but smaller (if you have an add on mouse and keyboard). Other than that this is a great app and highly recommend it 👍.Version: 2.0.9

Just FantasticI travel often and always take my Windows laptop and iPad with me. I was looking at buying a portable monitor for my laptop when I came across this app. It really is just fantastic and for $10 (I got it on sale) you can’t go wrong. Setup is super easy and then it just works like any other monitor you would hook up. If I had one complaint, it would be that moving the mouse around on the screen feels a little laggy, which may just be a limitation of the technology and has not really been too bothersome to me. Otherwise, everything else works great. I mostly use the second monitor for a web browser window or to watch Twitch or Netflix. I would definitely recommend this app if you’re looking to make your iPad even more useful especially while traveling. For reference, I have an Alienware m15 laptop and an iPad Pro 10.5”..Version: 2.2.0

Brilliant softwareBeen using Duet for a while now and I have to admit I am rather impressed. I know a lot of people wonder about customer service as well as product functions and stability and I can confidently assure everyone that all of these areas are first rate. Does it work? Oh my, yes it does. Launch the app on your compatible iPad and your Mac/PC will instantly recognise the iPad, automatically adjust the screen settings and there you have it, a rock solid 2nd touch enabled screen with optional app based Touch Bar. I use the adobe suite for my workflow as a professional photographer so having a mobile second screen really makes a difference. Even though Apple introduced their Sidecar feature in recent OS updates if you have an incompatible Mac/PC or need something a little better than basic sidecar; Duet is the way to go..Version: 2.2.6

Works as advertised, could use more work to iron-out annoyancesOn the first try it took some jiggling of cables before it worked, but it has been working as advertised since then. The recommendation to unplug-n-replug the Lightning cable connecting it to the other computer usually works. After that, launching Duet on the iPad is enough to make the PC driver wake up and connect by itself. I used a Native Union cable, but it connected to a Dell XPS with a cheap Type-A-to-Type-C USB adaptor. Watch for jiggle. Duet could focus on making the persistency of the connection more durable, I’d like to see these: Give the connected PC more patience to wait-out broken connections before giving up and moving all the windows back, or give me an optional mode to wait indefinitely until I type a key combination. Put a small watermark on the host screen so I know it’s active and remind me how to get out of that mode. Restore windows to where they were once the iOS device is reconnected, especially the little palettes and toolboxes that you connected the second screen for in the first place. Make it easier to tell the connected PC where the second screen is in relation. Support the iPad’s keyboard so I can type a shortcut to say “I moved it to the left side” when I have to rearrange stuff on the table..Version: 2.1.2

Why would you not?!This is an epic app that works fantastically with my MBP and iPad. The functionality it brings is so much more than just a second monitor. My MBP is pre-touch bar and enabling this function alone is worth every penny. The added bonus of touch interaction with the MBP is excellent and has increased my work productivity and made my workflow more efficient. Loving it. I also love the fact that with the Pro subscription you can remote access from anywhere with a network connection. In the current restricted travel situation we are all in, this is not of much use right now; but when I travel overseas more often, as I do so often with work, I shall definitely subscribe again. I have not yet used the iPad as a drawing tablet but I am looking forward to trying it out in the future. Last point; the quality of the screen when used as a monitor (especially with maxed quality settings and wired connection) is just outstanding. Extremely responsive with all I have used it for to date. Absolutely recommended for anyone with a Mac/PC & iPad who wants a second monitor and so much more. 5* well deserved..Version: 2.2.7

Very good but has problemsPeople say that this app has a lot of problems. After experiencing what it can do, I discovered a problem. I updated my iPad software to IOS 11, and I tried to connect. It doesn't work. Please fix.Version: 1.5.0

TelepromptingI’ve been using Duet Display for the last few days as an external display on the Windows PC that I use for zoom calls, teams, etc. It works really well as a tele-prompter screen used in conjunction with the Glide Gear TMP500 teleprompter with one caveat.. the horizontal readout is backwards. This isn’t a problem in my case as I have an additional monitor mirrored which I use to set up calls, once the calls are in progress the quality of the iPad pro screen is awesome, bigger and better than any other screen that i’ve been able to and Duet does a great job at video rendering. It feels like I’m actually talking face to face and able to look the person in the eye. Despite the lack of ability to correct the backwards readout in Duet which would be a killer feature for me and I’d willingly upgrade for, I’m super happy with Duet performance and ability to run over a wired connection. Great job!.Version: 2.3.0

Excellent App, professional support, highly recommendedThe App is just what I needed. I can now write on iPad with an Apple Pencil and mirror it on my MacBook Air, very useful for online lectures. Had some problems installing it, but Duet support team answered my question promptly and so clearly that I managed to make it all work in a matter of seconds. Was very impressed by the way they care for the customers. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.3.0

Excellent Way To Extend Laptop ScreenI have used Duet for 3 years now with Mac and PC laptops, an entry level iPad, and iPad Pro, and two phones, an iPhone 6S and an XS Max. It works perfectly for all of those cases. I mainly use it wired, because it is alway instantly responsive that way, but recently I did purchase the Pro subscription that allows wireless screen sharing, and it works well and I like it for getting the cord out of the way, though every now and then the partner display gets a little behind. I chose Duet over Sidecar for the wired connection, and because I can use it on my work laptop which has a different Apple ID than my iPad. Neither are possible with Sidecar. Duet also has excellent customer support! I had a technical issue and the technical staff worked over the weekend to get my system working properly: I sent an email of Friday evening and heard back the same day, and after asking for logs, they had a solution for me on Saturday morning..Version: 2.2.8

Brilliant App and Excellent SupportRecommended. Best app I have bought. Great for turning an iPad into a second monitor for laptop. In my case, I am using it to recycle an old, unused iPad as a third monitor, which has increased my productivity significantly. Easy to use and reliable, and the support team are quick to respond if there are any queries..Version: 2.4.1

On the go or at the officeI am using the app at the office as a 3rd screen or on the go with my laptop as a second screen! I had some issue to get the app to work on Windows 10, but with the latest version and a outstanding customer support everything is working perfectly! Highly recommend if looking for a extra monitor!.Version: 1.5.6

Anyone want a touchscreen Mac? Duet is your solution!I have used Duet for over two years now, and it has truly been an amazing experience. From the streamlined experience to the features you can’t get on some iPads and Mac (such as the Touch Bar, and Sidecar), Duet is truly a must have for anyone who has an iPad and Mac. Furthermore, many people have wanted a touchscreen Mac. Not available with Apples Sidecar, touchscreen is permanently enabled when using Duet. And better still, with a subscription to Duet Air, you iPad officially becomes a 2 in 1 - a Mac with a touchscreen that you can take anywhere in the office or home (so long as your Mac is awake in another room). And if you encounter any issues, the Duet team had always been very helpful! This feature of you Mac becoming an iPad (or an iPad with macOS) has so many helpful uses, from zoom calls, to taking study notes. Duet is truly a solution for those who want to carry their Mac around the office (like an iPad), showing their work to a supervisor, or anyone in general who has asked for macOS to come to the iPad..Version: 2.4.19

Next level serviceGreat app that lets me use a mouse, keyboard and Apple Pencil on my iPad with the desktop version of adobe Illustrator- huge productivity boost! The app wasn’t installing properly on my PC, I had an email back from the service team within a few hours. We did have to try a few things to get it working- throughout the process the team were super quick at replying to emails and provided really clear instructions. To be honest, it’s the best service I have ever had.Version: 2.4.6

Works better than external mobile displayI purchased an Asus mobile monitor with USB c type as all I wanted was another monitor that I could use to compliment my Acer PC laptop. When I got the Asus, I also discovered Duet and was able to use my 12” iPad Pro. For a second, I thought to use the Asus and ipad as a 3 screen, but the two drivers were not working well with each other. I compared the two because it seemed only one of the two would work at the same time. In general, the ipad has a better resolution although it looks slightly grainier. The Asus had worse resolution than the iPad, however, which was extremely limiting with using the web browsers or file explorer. Overall, the stability of Duet was better than the dedicated mobile monitor. Not only that, but I discovered that not only is your ipad a mobile monitor, but the monitor is also touch screen (even though my PC is not). This was really a cool bonus and a deal breaker on which one would stay or go. IF you have an iPad, save the money on an external mobile display and go this route. Save your money for a mesh WiFi system... :-).Version: 2.2.0

All digital Artists should be using this!I use Duet on 1-3 ipads from large to small (iPad Mini III) as side monitors to my Eizo Color edge CG227. With full Wacom Intuos support the integration of the monitors is seemless and has enlarged my working canvas exponentially. I love working like this and am so greatful to Duet for the relevant and timely onging development of their products. Go Duet! Simon Schollum.Version: 1.4.3

Great productI wanted to have two screens but my MacBook Air (2017) doesn’t support the Apple version of this. After a brief search, I came upon Duet. It was exactly what I needed. It installed easily. I had to buy a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect my iPad Air 4 but once I connected I was up and running. I had a couple of questions which I emailed to tech support and they got back to me right away. I don’t mind being in the wired scenario. The wireless version is an annual subscription and has more functionality but for now the wired version works fine. And, it was 50% off on the App Store..Version: 2.4.4

Works great with Lenovo Laptop & iPad Air 2Bought instead of a second monitor and really glad I did. I always take my iPad Air 2 to work so it made sense to try duet for £15 before spending £200+ on a new USB powered screen. iPad with Duet works great and I won't need to buy that other screen. Simple exe to download and install on my laptop (which work IT dept. approved) and then download the app on the iPad. Connected one to the other with the cable and all worked as expected with full ability to set resolution and move screen from the default right monitor to the left. Installed programs on the laptop such as the ms office suite work great - no noticeable lag. Slight lag when using google cloud based apps such as docs, spread and drive - although still fine to use and I guess this would be the same on a USB powered screen anyhow. Highly recommend Duet. Cheers..Version: 1.5.0

Great app that works with WindowsWith the whole work from home thing, I was looking for a way to have a second monitor with my iPad on Windows. After searching online, I came across recommendations for Duet Display and decided to give it a try. And I am very glad that I gave the app a chance despite the premium price. So far it’s been working pretty great as a portable second monitor for my laptop. There is some very slight lag when moving between screens but I guess it’s pretty good considering this is working via app and costs a tiny fraction of a portable monitor. So if you are looking for a way to make your iPad double as a monitor for your Windows computer, look no further! Highly recommended..Version: 2.2.8

Superb customer supportI had a couple of problems but after contacting customer support all was resolved. Product itself is great works as expected no lag not power hungry. Overall great 👍👍👍.Version: 2.4.14

Works great for my music gigs.As a musician, I wanted something that I could slide the chord window, or the lyrics window (or both) to my iPad wirelessly from my laptop, so musicians or singers could use it when sitting in at one of my gigs. This works perfectly for that purpose. I also use it at home as a dual monitor for other things. At first I had trouble connecting, but a couple of emails back and forth to support and I was up and running. It turned out my anti-virus software was interfering with the installation to the laptop. Once I turned it off and reinstalled the program it had no problem connecting from my iPad. The company seems committed to improving their product, so I feel confident in my purchase. For my own situation, I also purchased a portable wireless router that I can use as a home network when away from home so I don’t have to rely on the house connection at a gig, if they even have one. I don’t need internet to run this software, once installed, just a wireless network. I can also hardwire the iPad directly to the laptop..Version: 2.2.4

Perfect for working from homeThis app works seamlessly. I had no problems at all and it’s awesome to have a portable dual screen. Well worth the money..Version: 2.2.6

Causes many issues on Windows 10The basic functionality works well in windows 10, however duet has many incompatibility issues. Many apps and games do not run or will crash with duet installed on Windows 10 (appears to be something to do with direct X). It has also caused blue screens after quitting the app and running another app. Would not recommend for Windows 10 users..Version: 2.1.3

After Update Apple Pencil 2 Not WorkingWas working fine until the latest update. Now Apple Pencil 2 is no longer clicking or selecting, it only moves the cursor. There is little or no customer service. It has potential... and bugs..Version: 2.0.8

Great addition it really works!I use a duel monitor system of my main desktop PC that is my workhorse for both gaming and day to day use. I recently purchased a laptop to use while away from the main PC. The thing I missed was duel monitors, this app means I can simply link my old iPad to my new laptop and I have a duel monitor system on the move. It was easy to set up, it did cost me £10 for the iPad app, but that is far out weighed by having a duel monitor system on the go. My iPad was quite old, but Duet works with Apple iOS 10 with no problem. Thoroughly recommend this app..Version: 2.3.0

New duet user. Happy and impressedI recently got a new MacBook Air and I have a old iPad laying around. I searched online and found out about duet. I liked the idea of being able to use the iPad as a second monitor because it is also portable and battery powered. I downloaded the app and the laptop program and I was excited to get started. The program was a little more complex to get installed on the computer than just downloading and going. The instructions were very good though so I didn’t have any issues. I have to be honest I was a little frustrated because the program didn’t work at first. I have a laptop with the M1 chip and apparently it wasn’t supported yet. I assumed this might be the case so I reached out to tech support. They knew exactly what I was talking about and told me I would have to wait because it was still in development. The very next day they sent me a beta version to see if the M1 update worked and I have been very happy since then. It’s nice to have a tech department that is upfront and honest. They have been great to work with and the program itself works great. I now have a use for my old iPad instead of throwing it away! I will be considering duet for more uses going forward after my first experience for sure..Version: 2.3.0

A great solutionI’ve used Duet for a long time. The support team are amazing, the product is solid and works very well. If you, like me, find your iPad isn’t supported by the new sidecar (Apple would love you to buy a new iPad), then save your money. I’m a cameraman and need as much space as I can get on my MacBook Pro. Having the iPad connected means I’ve extended my screen space to allow for ancillary apps (email, messaging etc) to still be displayed while editing film or images in the main screen. This product provides everything you need and at a fraction of the price of a new iPad!.Version: 2.1.9

Great bit of software that extends your computer to a second screenI have an old iMac and a very new iPad Pro and wished to link the two screens. My Mac is too old to be able to run sidecar so what do I do? I heard about duet display and this is the neatest software I have come across for a while. To start with I had problems getting it all set up but with the help of their technical support all issues have been solved. The were so patient with me, a non techie silver surfer, and eventually it is now working just as I want it to. I don’t need the subscription service just the basic but that works well for what I need it for. So fantastic app and if you have technical problems don’t worry they will sort out everything for you. Thank you the team at duet display.Version: 2.3.0

A must for 2 screens.I downloaded this after looking up ways to use my iPad as a second monitor. Unfortunately iTunes has to be downloaded on your pc but compared to several years ago is not noticeable. Duet works flawlessly and is a very inexpensive way to have a second monitor. I definitely recommend this!.Version: 2.4.10

Great service!Just purchased the pro app, I got some trouble making it work. I Sent an email and shortly after, hector email me and was super helpful and fixed my problem! Wonderful service! Thank you so much 👍😀.Version: 2.2.8

Great alternative to SideCarI started using Duet even before Apple announced SideCar. At that time it was amazing: crisp picture, low battery consumption and touch screen support on an iPad. I am not using Apple Pencil and I do not need any of the premium features if the app, so I cannot really comment on whether it is useful for artists. The only thing I noticed is that since SideCar launch they focused on this feature set much more than on image quality. That is why the rating is only 4 stars - SideCar gives much nicer image quality on iPad Pro and is more versatile. One thing where Duet is impeccable is support for wired connection. In case you use corporate vpn that prevents Apple features (like SideCar and a few others) to work properly, Duet is the only reliable solution. The developer is also very responsive - they confirmed a problem that I escalated within a couple of days and offered a workaround while the developers are working on a proper fix..Version: 2.3.0

Easy, functional, love it.My macbook is too old to use Sidecar and after a little research I discovered Duet. It was so easy to install and use. I had a few difficulties getting the settings right to share the right screen on an external monitor, but that it mostly because I am not an IT whizz. The fact that I managed to get everything working at all speaks volumes about the easy setup! I wrote asking for help, which I eventually didn’t need, and had a reply within 10 hrs. Thanks for your efforts to make this program so user friendly. I’m looking forward to spreading the word about Duet..Version: 2.2.8

Amazing hack for the mobile workerI love the functionality of being able to carry around my iPad and laptop and have a instant second screen anywhere I am! While the wifi version is good, the cabled connection is excellent and seamless. I recently had an issue with aspect ratios and the tech team instantly fixed it and released a new update, very impressive!.Version: 2.20

Solid app with just a couple of bugsI’ve had a great time with this app and consider it a must for anyone with an iPad. I do have some trouble connecting-have to close and restart the service on my PC each time, which is frustrating, and sometimes it can be laggy, even with a wired USB-C to USB-C connection, but for the most part it’s great.Version: 2.4.7

An award-winnerI was a bit surprised to read the review that called this app a "cash grab". I do agree that the app is not "cheap" but it's also not cheaply written and never seems to crash. It supports use on the Mac and Windows in my testing (probably too much to ask for Linux support!) and does so really well. I've been pleasantly surprised at the performance, too, especially when coding. My primary use case was to eliminate the bulky monitors that previously occupied my desk. I also have to work one day a week at an office where it is not economical to keep a docking setup for any reason. With Duet, I get my dual-monitor setup on TWO retina displays. I'll take that over a cheap 1080p monitor anytime. I have no use for a high-dollar "retina" or equivalent monitor. Even if I found a good one for $500, I am guessing I wouldn't use it for more than 10 years. I'd rather pay for this app annually and not buy a new monitor for my work. And suffice it to say, I'm getting a LOT more use out of my iPad(s)..Version: 1.4.3

Does exactly what I wanted it to do and what it claims to doI have a windows PC laptop and I often have to review PDF documents while working on a word doc at the same time. When I am not working in my usual office set up, it’s annoying to have to minimize both the PDF and the word doc onto my small laptop screen so I went on the hunt for an app to allow me to extend my screen onto my iPad, which is exactly what Duet Display does. Because I am cheap, I first downloaded a free app from another developer that claimed it could do the same thing but it 100% did not work and they couldn’t tell me how to make it work so I sucked it up and paid for Duet Display. At first I had a setting wrong so it was displaying my desktop on my iPad instead of on my laptop, but I reached out to customer support, got a response right away and with one click it was working how I wanted it to. Of course, if you can get a larger monitor then you can use your laptop as a second screen but if you are travelling or working where you don’t have access to a full monitor then this is a great option for extending your screen. My advice is: don’t be cheap, you often do get what you pay for. I am happy it is just a one time cost though, I would not have bought it for an ongoing subscription fee..Version: 2.4.11

EXACTLY what I needed, does exactly what it says.So I normally do not post reviews on the Apple store or get “paid” products, just not my thing. Then I relocated my computers to a smaller desk and realized I no longer had room for my 2nd monitor, with my iPad Pro 12.9 and laptop on the same desk. I looked around and read different ways to make your iPad a 2nd screen on your Windows machine and found Duet Display. after reading several reviews I decided to buy it and try it out. This product is perfect and exactly what I needed. I have my iPad 12.9 on my Magic Keyboard folio sitting next to my laptop. A USB charging cable is connected through the Magic Folio and another USB-C cable connects through the iPad USB-C outlet to my USB plug on my laptop. From there I installed the Windows server piece and the Duet Display app on the iPad and Bamn, just like that it works, flawlessly. Great work, I know working on products in the Apple ecosystem is challenging and this product proves what can be accomplished with talent. Thanks!.Version: 2.2.8

What a great productThe newest version of the SW is running seamless. It’s so quick and easy to add another display by plugging in your phone or iPad. To back this up they have a great support team to help you along if need be ;)..Version: 2.21

Not perfectNow that it is working I think it is a fairly smooth app that will help make my life a little easier when I’m not at home. At home I use a dual monitor setup with both screens at 1080p at 60 Hz with no lag at all. I have been disappointed that I don’t get this same result when I am using duet. The biggest issue I had with the app is that it didn’t work at all at first. The Mac app was completely non functional and doing some things I’d never seen another app do. I couldn’t close the app or click anything on it. In my task manager it didn’t show the app running but I couldn’t delete it because it was open. All of this was very confusing and frustrating so I contacted duet and they were extremely helpful. The person I talked to couldn’t answer all of my questions so she talked to the app developers and after following their directions I got it working. So far I’m happier with the customer service than I am the app and I’m alright with that. It’s for sure worth the $10..Version: 2.2.5

Great app, I never knew how much I needed a second monitorI bought this app in a bit of a whim while I was working on spreadsheets and unable to visualise all the data on my laptop. It is incredibly helpful: I never knew how much more productive I’d be with another screen: if you are hesitant about this app, because you think that you’re getting along fine without it, it will make a huge difference. It works great, I’ve had it from USB and USB-C to my iPad, and it’s been good. When I did have an issue with it (which was my own fault), the support was fast and responsive..Version: 2.4.25

Second Monitor - SuperbA few weeks ago, battling as we all are with WFH in the new norm, I was looking for an option on a second monitor to connect to my laptop - when I stumbled across Duet Display - how easy to use the display of my iPad Pro - so I went for it and purchased the App Why hadn’t I done this before - fantastic and so seamless. After one day connecting by cable, I thought right lets use this so that I can maintain the battery as well - so I quickly upgraded to Duet Air. Fantastic - after a version upgrade of Duet on my laptop, I have had seamless connectivity for hours on end. This is a great App and I would not be without it now - what a way to fully utilise my iPad Pro and ThinkPad together - thank you 😊.Version: 2.2.7

This is the best app I have ever ownedActually amazing it works flawlessly between my PC and iPad being a streamer that only has one screen monitoring my stream can be a little hard at times but not anymore. My iPad was even charging the entire time it was plugged in. You guys have done great work this app is easily worth double the cost EASILY THE BEST APP.Version: 2.3.0

Needs another update to regain its greatness!I have really benefited from using Duet to link my iPad as a second monitor for N.Y. windows laptop, until this week. I’m sure the recent problems are caused by the latest iPadOS update. Now the mouse lags and is jumpy and the app crashes frequently. The latest Duet update helped somewhat with the mouse issues, but Duet still crashes. Another update to solve that would be much appreciated..Version: 2.3.0

Great App, Great Support TeamThe app was performing great until the desktop client began crashing my laptop. The support rep that I talked to was one of the most friendly people I’ve talked to in tech support and was able to provide me a solution in a timely manner for the problem. Duet Display as an app is very smooth and is the best app of its kind..Version: 2.3.0

WOW!I rarely write reviews but this app is better then sliced bread! And it doesn’t even have gluten! When my primary work app recently changed its platform, I found myself no longer working on a 15” laptop screen but actually 2-7,5” screens. It was impossible to be productive so I purchased a separate portable monitor. It tuned out not to be my most prudent investment. Then I thought “hmmmm, can I reverse cast my windows laptop to my iPad?” Googled that concept and found this app. I was hesitant to purchase it but then saw so many positive reviews I decided “what the heck”and spend the $9.99. Set up was easy, connecting was easy although a little slow. But while my iPad screen is still only 9” my email program displays clearly and functions pretty much the same as it does on my 15” laptop. Very happy with it. Also takes up much less space on my small desk. Just hope I don’t run across anymore “in app purchases” though. But all of a sudden my laptop went black... I restarted everything and fingers crossed nothing crashed... I restarted it and now it tells me I need to purchase Duet Air. WHAT??? You’re losing review stars with me already... and it won’t let me minimize the “connect duet air” screen unless I agree to a 1-week trial. This didn’t happen till I signed up for a Duet Account. Not as happy as I was 20 minutes ago..Version: 2.3.0

Does what it’s supposed to do...I use this program with my iPad and HP Zbook workstation. I’m a graphic designer and love using my pen for everything. However the pen that came with the Zbook has wavy lines, so i wanted something more stable, in steps the iPad. My iPad combined with Duet makes it possible to use the Adobe apps that I need to and still use my pen. There is not a lot of lag at all when drawing and using the pen. I have used it in Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator with no problems. I still need to test a few other adobe apps. The reason for the 4 stars is that in order for me to do this I had to also tack on the pro version, and this whole pay $30 a year or month crap with everything now days is very draining. Between the full adobe suite and everything else I need for my job alone its a big drain on my money (I make less then 40k a year atm). All and all I do like the app just don’t like the extra pay it cost, but when I get my MacBook for school (going back so I can have more opportunities) and the new screen Share thing it has, the “what the hell ever its called”. I’ll probably dump this when that works well enough..Version: 2.2.5

Excellent Customer Support and App QualityI emailed them about a legacy purchase issue and they were very responsive and helpful in implementing a fix. The app quality is great! I think any student should have this app as it is a excellent portable second monitor for a windows laptop. Display Quality is quite good (8.5/10 compares to regular monitors) if you change the settings to the highest settings..Version: 2.19

Essential and EffortlessI've been using Duet for over a year now and it has become as essential to me as the operating system itself. It's ease of use is effortless; once setup – you're done. It allows me to make great use of my long forgotten, out of date iPad which, is now my teleprompter screen. Duet is incredibly reliable and a great price. I'd highly recommend it to anyone – and frequently do!.Version: 2.4.25

Ok here we go. 3D artists beware.Let me start out by saying this is going To be a 3D Review not a 3D game review. As I find the sketch tools for iPad Pro beyond most of the apps available on my pc and don’t want to play call of duty with it. Works great for low poly refresh on Maya for retopology, or blocking out forms. Snapping points and edges same with zbrush strokes. But notice that when the high version <Zbrush starts using more system memory they tend to lag about 3 or 4 strokes. Once I got past 10k rotation refreshing ok. 100k started refreshing and leaving it on the screen. Also zbrush refuses to recognize the touch sensitivity to rotate or zoom in and out.. big issue. Problems with brush detail movement on zbrush 2018 jittery. So for me this is going to be a retopo tool that I can just kick back on the couch. Get a tiny wireless keyboard and go to town. I am kind-of sorry that I purchased the software but it is good for lounging on my couch and I I can’t think of anything else. 👍🏻 for the accessibility..Version: 1.5.8

Great app!!Since the pandemic began, I have been able to work remote. I also work from home during the weekends. Desperately need a second monitor but have very limited space. I have a Surface Pro 7 with a 12” screen and an iPad Air 4. They are basically the same size so they look great side by side. With Duet, I am able to use my iPad as a secondary monitor! I am so grateful for this app. There is no lag in my mouse. I think maybe in an earlier version there was some but not any more. The only reason I gave a 4 star and not 5 is because if for any reason I unplug my iPad, it won’t reconnect unless I totally shut down all apps on my pc and restart. I always need about a dozen file explorer and app Windows open. Tried everything including launching iTunes, but nothing reconnects without a reboot. Thank you Duet!! I will endorse your product to everyone..Version: 2.4.4

Windows 10 laptop with iPad ProThis an update since April which I haven’t used. Tried again by downloading software on PC . Was black screen. This was fixed by restarting my iPad Pro. Works fine , responsive and at the recommended resolution , touch works fine too . It’s not super clear but enough to work on . I be using this when I am on the Road. Using the cheaper wired version, the app talks about wireless in default screen but this is not enabled ..Version: 2.2.4

Ultimate Work Travel CompanionSince I primarily use SolidWorks for my job, I have to carry a beefy Windows laptop with me every time I travel. On these trips I’m often holed up in my hotel room trying to catch up on design work or in a nearby coffee shop, so the ability to pop open my iPad as a second monitor is such a quality of life improvement! I also use my iPad for taking notes during meetings and entertainment on flights, so not having to bring a standalone travel monitor with no additional purpose is fantastic. While there is some input lag and occasionally imperfect image quality (mostly while running in wireless mode), the software seems to be continuously improving and overall the experience is very smooth and stable on my iPad Air. Even the Apple Pencil input works pretty seamlessly in most desktop applications. You wouldn’t want to use it as your primary display, but for a secondary I usually have a static drawing, email, file browser or image pulled up with not a ton of mouse interaction. If you have a similar use case, I think you’ll enjoy it! Great app! Keep up the good work!.Version: 2.22.0

Steven ZhouI used duet more than one year before and is very good. Yesterday was trying with old iPad and windows PC, but had issue during connection between. And can’t uninstall previous installed duet driver. The support team replied my email so quickly with the other software for solution. I tried Spacedesk for instead before emailed to supporting team. But found duet is way faster when using iPad as second monitor. Thank you Hector, very appreciated for your helping. I got email supporting from Reny today on another windows system issue right away, and all devices are working again. The duet team is so great. Thanks again..Version: 2.3.0

Great app and tech supportI bought this app years ago to turn an out of date iPad into second monitor, and it works perfectly for this. And the tech support team were very helpful after I accidentally updated the mac app beyond what was functional for the iPad. I’ve no doubt Duet has come on a long way since I bought it, and my recommendation for the Duet team would be to make the older version of computer software readily available for people like myself who use this to utilise old tech rather than throw it away..Version: 2.4.27

BrilliantThis app works flawlessly. Unfortunately I recently had an update on my Windows PC that stopped it working. The guys at Duet were so helpful with the tricky problem and got it working perfectly again. Such a great personal service. Recommended!.Version: 1.4.3

Really helpful for multitaskingAs a uni student I always just had one screen; when I started working in an office as a summer job it felt amazing to have three screens. Going back to having one screen seemed awful, Duet has been great for getting me more productive without having to buy a new monitor. The only issue I had was quickly solved by the customer service team and it has been smooth sailing since. Very much worth the price!.Version: 2.2.7

Great productWorks as advertised. I Used to use MacBook pro with separate keyboard and touchpad with 2 monitors. Now use MacBook Pro up on a stand with an iPad 12.9 pro also up on a stand. Great to be able to adjust scaling and performance to suite the limited processing power of my older (2012) Mac. Prefer non retina and hi FPS in the iPad to get satisfactory response. With wrong settings or too much going on on the Mac, it does get too slow but know how to rectify. Great product.Version: 2.3.0

Works better than expected on older iPadI have an older iPad 3 (first Retina display one), and this product seems to work better than I thought it would. At first, I had troubles getting it working and thought it was going to be a dud app, but after getting used to the interface and app (and turning off AirPlay for it and just having it go thru USB/30 pin), it started to grow on me as a really useful tool. The site says "lag free", so I would not go THAT far, but it's smooth enough for me to use for work to extend my little MacPro monitor with (I think the creators expect that your using it with a newer model, but it does work with older). It went all day without a single issue, and made me so much more productive while I was working at hotel. It breathes some more usefulness into my 7 year old iPad that still chugs away! One thing - my iPad didn't charge (maybe newer this isn't an issue), but all day use still left me with about 1/2 battery, which was great. Great app..Version: 2.0.9

Give your iPad “gainful employment”It needn’t be playtime always for your ever-present iPad - all Surface Pro people like me (Surface Pro 6) who use the iPad for leisure activities only, can now put it to work as a second screen to your Windows computer. In my legal work with document preparation, in a paperless office, I can’t have too many screens. I look at a source document on one screen, and work on my amendments to it on another screen, while keeping up with my emails on a third screen - that’s my minimum. After discovering the brilliant Duet Display App, I have now seamlessly added my trusty iPad Pro 11” to the array, into it and out of it effortlessly - I urge you to get Duet Display, if you have an iPad currently “resting up”, so it can join you and your Windows computer, hard at work..Version: 2.2.6

Screen memoryEvery time the laptop sleeps it forgets the screen location.Version: 2.3.0

Great follow up with helpGreat App that increases the benefit of having an iPad Pro. Allows me to use the iPad as a second screen for my Windows laptop. I had difficulty with not being able to change to other apps on the iPad without getting a black screen on Duet. The technical team solved the problem and it is back to working well..Version: 2.2.5

Better than sidecar..If your Mac doesn’t support sidecar in Catalina then this is your best option to use your iOS device as a second screen. Plus it works on all the other versions of Mac OS Fantastic support too !!.Version: 2.2.4

Optimised my productivityReally enjoy this app. I have an old MacBook Pro (late 2013) and it doesn’t offer Sidecar feature. I purchased a cheap USB A to USB C cable to hook up my MBP and iPad Pro and essentially my iPad is now a 2nd screen + a mini laptop of it’s own (I have my iPad mouse + keyboard combo going on)! Working perfectly in this Apple ecosystem. Be advised that the app purchase doesn’t include wireless connection, this is an add-on feature by monthly subscription..Version: 2.2.8

SeamlessWorked excellent from the first time I used it. Good product support when I had an issue with login. Go for the lifetime purchase, it’ll be worth it..Version: 2.19

Love it but…To make it a five star I would make it so that you could adjust the resolution to a specific one because right now the paid version of “yam display” is a way better deal then this.Version: 2.4.11

Better graphics and works when sidecar didn't support "older" Macbook proI was hoping sidecar would be amazing for the general use case of having a second display, but it turns out the initial press release so showing it would work with mid 2015 Macbook pro was wrong, so after updating Mac is to Catalina I had to update the duet app on the computer (which was already in existence this early, many tech companies don't immediately support newer operating systems) and I was pleasantly surprised to find the graphics were even better then before! Kudos to duet for keeping up and supporting older devices that Apple cant support for hardware reasons, Duet is still supporting with software and there aren't any delays or latency and the graphics are on point now (it was a little fuzzy when they were doing workarounds from previous Apple software updates). The only thing is the updates on the computer side are not automatic and when you click on check for updates in the application, it shows up to date, but the website has an updated version. Had a brief issue with the touch not working, and sent an email to Duet to try and resolve it and had a response which fixed the issue in less than five minutes. I challenge you to find anywhere with that kind of response time.Version: 2.2.2

Amazing for old unused devicesFor school ever since I changed from iPad to laptop my iPad has just been collecting dust, luckily after downloading this app it finally has use again. It was very easy to setup, I did have a small problem where the iPad was stuck on “launching duet” but after a quick look at the FAQ I managed to resolve the problem. Would totally recommend..Version: 2.2.4

Maximise your iPad productivityA colleague introduced me to this app as he takes his iPad and laptop to London. When on the train, it gives him a 2nd screen without the need of purchasing another. This sold it to me and as I have an iPad Pro, the value is even greater, due to the size. I’m able to use my tv on the wall, laptop and iPad Pro to the left of my laptop to create a three screen extended display. The frame rate and transitioning is all smooth with no lag. I’ve since upgraded from duet to air, which enables me to connect wirelessly. Between the laptop and tv connected via HDMI and the laptop and iPad connected through air, the experience is no worse. So whether you connect through a wired connected or via air, you can expect no degradation to performance from my experiences. Highly recommend this as a great business purchase, or simply for anyone who wants two screens. Rather than fork out £x on a screen, use your iPad instead for a small fraction of the cost. Oh, and support is very good two and very responsive 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Looking forward to when I can connect a second iPad for a 4th screen 😜.Version: 2.2.5

Much cheaper than buying a new external displayWhen my decade old Apple Cinema Display finally lit its last pixel, I thought about buying another external display for my MacBook Pro, which was a year too old to run Apple’s Sidecar. Then I remembered Duet Display. I hooked up my iPad Pro to it, and decided that I don’t need to clutter my desk with a new display after all. I’m a writer and don’t need more than two decent sized screens: one for source/reference material (which I put in Duet), the other for the document I’m writing (which goes on my MacBook screen). Duet and my Macbook give me all the space I need, while still allowing me to cut and paste etc. between documents, websites and emails. And when something went wrong with a recent update, I emailed the help address and got it all sorted in a couple days. (The old version still worked, I just couldnt install the update, so I was able to keep using the app.) I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs more screen space and has an iPad and a Mac but doesn’t necessarily require 20+ more inches of display..Version: 2.2.6

Great product, great supportI have had duet for a couple of years and have used it extensively. First off, it just works and it is very intuitive. I first used it with my windows PC and later when I bought my MacBook Pro. It is fast, with a great response time, as though you’re using a second monitor. I have an ipad air 2, so duet does the trick where Sidecar doesn’t. When I upgraded to Catalina version, duet didn’t work, so I sent a support request and in less than 5 minutes, i received the instructions on how to fix the issue. As expected, the instructions were very simple to follow and the problem was resolved. In my work, I deal a lot with support organizations, and I rarely see personal email with an actual named person from support, so it was a refreshing experience to see an old fashion support person that actually knows how to help you most effectively..Version: 2.2.2

Perfect for when I’m on the roadMy wife and I are often on the road and feel hamstrung when only operating on one screen, so when I discovered Duet I was super excited as we also had a couple iPad Pros which have approximately the same size screen as our Surface Laptop. We ran via cabled connection initially which ran perfectly, but the iPad didn’t charge so it went flat after a while. I then worked out that I could buy the Air upgrade so I could charge and work at the same time. Initially we hot-spotted both the iPads and laptops and found it really slow. So I reached out to support and got a super quick response for some things to try. It’s now behaving perfectly both via our home wireless network and when hot-spotting. Having the ability to easily transport a “second screen” by way of an iPad is simply awesome and the support assistance is just the icing on the already sweet cake..Version: 2.2.8

Great softwareI use this on a large screen ipad Pro as a 2nd/3rd monitor and it just works. Ive used both wired and wireless “Air” options and found them both to be fantastic options. In Air wireless mode i found 60fps a bit of a challenge for my home network but 30fps if rock solid over slower/busy wifi networks. Currently use the software along with flight simulator games to position instruments on the ipad screen.... it just works and having the touch capability to physically interact in a simulator adds a new depth to gaming at a fraction of the cost of buying a touch screen monitor..Version: 2.3.0

Great support and easy to use appI was looking for a way to use my iPad as a second monitor with my laptop pc. I tried another free app before trying duet but it didn’t work. So I decided to pay for Duet wired. The set up and instructions were quite easy to follow. The app run quite smoothly for the first few days but then I started to have some problems and it wouldn’t connect. I tried different things and eventually got in touch with their support team. They were super helpful and guided me on every step so the problem could be fixed. Now my Duet app is currently working with no issues and running smoothly like before. Probably in the future I will try the air option so I don’t need the usb connector but for now it works well and it serves its purpose. Quite pleased with it in general..Version: 2.3.0

Pretty good! Was a bit annoying to set up but now I’m really happy with how it all works. It’s saved me from having to buy a second monitor. Not so keen on the subscription model though, there’s not enough enough to revamp each year in the program to warrant it which makes it appear like a money grab. Someone else will come out with a cheaper version and under cut them hopefully..Version: 2.0.4

BEST APPThis is legit the best app. As an artist I was trying to figure out which drawing tablet I wanted to invest in. Upon hours and hours of research I couldn’t find one in my price range that has a screen, could be portable and also works with my PC. I ended up purchasing a new 2018 IPad Pro and a second generation Apple Pencil. Upon my purchase I installed this app immediately. With the pro version of this app plus a USB cord I was able to connect my PC (not Mac) to my iPad. While displaying my PC screen to my IPad I’m able to use everyday programs like photoshop and illustrator with absolutely no lag. I can sketch, edit, vector and touch up my work with ease and no gloves are needed like a lot of other drawing tablets. This app also has a remote wireless feature that does have a little bit of lag but allows me to work around my house if I need. I rarely ever write reviews but this app has helped me out so much I wanted to leave my two cents hoping to help out other artist who are in a similar situation. Duet Display deserves 5 stars hands down and has been nothing but an enjoyable experience!!!.Version: 2.1.3

It works! (Windows 10)So I bought this program a few years back for photoshop/ after effects purposes and it worked but I wasn’t able to play any of my video games. So I would uninstall duet whenever I would play. That got tedious so I kept it uninstalled fully. Sometime later I tried it again and it got worse, photoshop wouldn’t work and my games. After I believe a year and a half of not using it, I had hopes and googled about everyone’s experience about using duet. I found a 2 month old reddit thread which was stating to not use it since it messes with the gpu, but saw a guy recently commented that he uses it and it works now, followed with another user in doubt saying “really?” followed by the same user saying “holy crap it does works!” End result I redownloaded it and whatever the guys at duet is doing hats off to you my photoshop works and gaming works, haven’t experienced any bsod or the like. Thanks!.Version: 2.1.7

Works WellThis works well, with ease. For those who have trouble making it work, do bear in mind you need to have all the right things in place. Check 1: Your operating softwares on both devices - are they compatible for this to work on both devices. It’s not necessarily the case that it will automatically work, even if you feel your systems are modern enough Check 2: You have the right physical devices. The way software is written is that it is designed to work with specific types of machines. A program running a second screen is running a ‘graphics’ program, and so the graphics hardware needs to be quick and powerful enough for it to work; Also, it is sending data down a cable; the cable needs to be capable. I have spent so much time in frustration trying to work out ‘what am I doing wrong’? And realising it was something simple as my computer did not have the correct operating software (sometimes if the software is up to date but the program software is to up to date with the operating software, it cannot always work). If you’ve got all the elements in place, this should work smoothly.Version: 2.3.0

A digital nightmareUgh. I’m tech savvy - honest. I work as an editor of support content- and this app, the support for it, and the “speed” with which they address tech issues are appalling. They can’t even get the desktop app to respond affirmatively when there is an update so you need to go check the site. I had the “pro” subscription for a while and as soon as there was an OS update the app would poop the bed. They never get in front of updates. That said, the odd times it worked, it was great but that was maybe 20% of the time. The site says created by former Apple Engineers. I get why they don’t work there anymore. Save your money and sanity..Version: 2.1.9

Just what I wanted! Very good!Love this app, works just as expected. Had a problem with setting up the app (because I reformatted my pc) and the support team assisted right away (got my first reply in about an hour!) This app is good as it provides another functionality for your iPad, which may just be lying around, not doing much (mine was). Thanks again!.Version: 2.0.4

Amazing resourceI do freelance office work, so I am not always at my home desk with two screens. Duet has helped me immensely when working away from home. I now can hit the road and retain the luxury of working with two screens. It’s amazing! HIGHLY recommend..Version: 2.3.0

A little laggy on iOS 11 and MacOS High SierraI am using it on iPad Pro 10.5 with iOS 11 and MacBook Pro (TouchBar) with MacOS High Sierra. The TouchBar does not work on High Sierra and there was a notification window telling me the instruction but I don’t quite understand what are they talking about. However, I don’t really mind this too much. The main problem for me is the lag after the system update, which doesn’t affect daily use, but maybe a little annoying. Another issue: you have to make the window small enough on mac in order to fit it in iPad screen, if you drag a big window and stop halfway, the half window on iPad will disappear. I will change to five stars after new updates..Version: 1.4.4

Great application to work on the goHelps me to stay productive on the go, works as advertised.Version: 1.4.3

Outstanding, total no-brain purchase!Duet is a no-brain purchase for someone like me who works remotely, wants dual-screens but obviously can't fly around with an LCD monitor. It's way more responsive than Wi-Fi-based second-screen apps I've tried; with just the tiniest amount of lag from my 2011 MacBook Pro on an iPad 4 Retina -and I wouldn't be surprised if this disappeared with a newer model MBP. Aside from being slick and responsive, nice touches include the way Duet remembers which apps I'd placed on its screen each time I connect it; and the GREAT touchbar implementation. Awesome to have a 2017 MBP feature on a six-year old MBP! Full Retina resolution mode does create unacceptable lag, but this is clearly a limitation of my 2011 MBP's inbuilt graphics card's capabilities, rather than the app. Apple should be grateful for the free touchbar advertising Duet are giving them. I already feel more excited about buying a new MacBook with a touchbar - especially as I can then run the iPad on full retina resolution! If you own an MacBook and an iPad, I cannot see why you wouldn't find this app useful..Version: 1.4.3

Better than SidecarIt’s been a few years since I last used Duet due to travel restrictions. I tried using Sidecar but found one needs to be signed in under the same Apple ID on both devices. This made it difficult to use a personal iPad with a company MacBook with have different Apple IDs. Duet Display gets around that issue every easily where the tethered Duet Basic continues to work very well for my needs. Still highly recommended!.Version: 2.4.20

The cable linkI downloaded the cable link version which does not use a subscription. It works well and if you have a problem their response time is first class I found I had to load it as administrator to get the PC and iPad to see each other. Once linked it worked perfectly. So as a direct cable link it gets top marks from me. I will be looking at the other options to see if I can access my PC from anywhere using my phone or iPad, that might be worth looking at even though it uses subscriptions. Not keen on them myself but if they work well then it may be worth it. Well done to the team that devised it. Vic Punch.Version: 2.3.0

Does exactly what it says it will doDuet Display is a unique piece of software that is used and can be used for so many different needs and usability in having access to a tablet such as as Ipad as a secondary display. Yes if your pc or Mac is not touch display then you can use Duet to create a touch display is your ipad. Enough said about what Duet does, how about what you need to do to get it working. Obviously you need two pieces of software one on the desktop computer and one on the tablet. Be careful to follow the on screen guidance when installing the software as certain system preferences have to be granted to the software in order to make it a secondary display and also to allow the touch screen capability. Overall the price for the hard-wired version is very cheap compared with having to have a dedicated second monitor, whereas if you already have an Ipad for example you can get a send display for your pc in a cheap and very workable solution by using Duet display.Version: 2.3.0

Smooth and quickI’ve had this for years but due to the layout and menubar annoyances when setting it up and connecting I rarely bothered and even when I did connect to my iPad Pro it could be a bit sluggish. At some point recently though the developers have cast some magic spell and it now connects simply, effectively and almost as quickly as I can launch the app at each end. The configuration seems to look sort of similar to before but works really nicely and the performance is excellent. It works so well and easily now that I have to give it 5 stars. Well done!.Version: 2.3.0

App works well, responsive customer supportThe app does a good job, and really helps increase my on the go productivity. I had issues with Mac transparency in high Sierra, but the developers were quick to respond to my bug report and immediately send a beta version that fixed the issue..Version: 1.5.6

Much improved, if you have new iPad Pro and good PCIm now using a Ryzen 2700 with loads of ram and the newest iPad Pro, and everything works well when I set the iPad as the primary monitor and then duplicate my displays in windows. Otherwise no dice. But in this setup it works wirelessly with Toon Boom when you turn gesture controls on, which is pretty amazing. My Ryzen and iPad Pro are finally powerful enough to do all this..Version: 2.1.9

Excellent product and superb supportI recently started reusing Duet with the improved Duet Display s/w to run my iPadPro (on a Lululook urban magnetic iPad stand) as a second monitor off my aging 27” iMac. The initial problems I had in setting up the system of cable and software were resolved with superb support from Victor of the Support Team. I particularly appreciate the advice of which cable to use and linkage to enable me to purchase it, which saved me a great deal of likely frustration. His advice in response to the initial problems in terms of s/w installation was timely, detailed, and effective. In my full-time work of editing Word documents, I can now have a reference document (that I often need to access) open on the second display, while editing documents on the main screen; so I can speedily view and copy and paste from the reference document to the main document(s). Duet Display boosts my productivity, represents great value, and I highly recommend it..Version: 2.4.3

Great for real time observation! The latency was near 0 and the ability to use the touch screen on the phone as an extension of the computer screen isphenomenal!.Version: 2.21

Great option for static files on displayThe lag on the secondary display is not ideal but when in a pickle is really a life saver allowing you to have a dual screen with out any monitors. It still can’t beat a good monitor but for word processing its great..Version: 2.4.11

Exactly the app I neededDuet enables the use of my iPad air as a second display for my MacBook Pro. I wanted the extra screen real estate of a second monitor in a portable format and I was put onto this by a friend. The extended display allows me to be working on a full screen app and have both IM and email running visible alongside. I am using the standard version and get no lag using a standard USB lightning cable and USB-C dongle ... if I wanted to use the additional input of something like an iPad Pro (maybe soon), I would jump on the Duet Air subscription, but for now the standard version does the trick..Version: 2.2.4

Definitely your best option to display your Desktop to iOS...I’ve been using Duet Display for over 4 years now and I can say that it’s gotten better over time as far as stability. I’ve also done beta testing in the past. Whenever I had an issue, support has done a good job at resolving each concern I had. I really like being able to extend my desktop to my iOS devices to mirror or use as a display with touch control. I’ve tried many apps with similar features. But for the price of Duet Display, none of them come close. I also enjoy the Touch Bar, which is an added bonus. I used it to control Adobe Premiere a few days ago and Ableton. Wow, I have more editing control that will allow me to use my cursor much less. I would like to suggest that Duet Display provide more demos and clearer instructions on the different types of products they have from the start. It seems to be all over the place. I contacted support and they were able to give me clarity, which was good..Version: 2.2.4

The Support Team is extremely marvellousThe support team (Sergio) have sent me five emails in total with detailed step by step instructions for me sending them what were happening to my computers, so they could narrow down the possibilities of problems and finally found the way to get the issue sorted out. The support people is patient and professional. I’m very happy to get the display problem sorted out. Duet Display is really a handy software, my brother refer it to me. He uses it for connecting Mac with his iPad. I use it connecting my Windows laptop to my iPad. It brings a lot of conveniences and increases productivity. I highly recommend it to all who want to use your iPad as a second screen..Version: 2.2.4

A bit fiddling, otherwise excellent. When I came down to work on my projects on my PC using this app on my new iPad Air, I knew we had a winner. The controls for Apple Pencil is outstanding but when I try to write or draw, I usually rest my pencil holding hand on the screen, which moves the display or makes a mess on my work, which can display my final result inconsistently. There really should be an Apple Pencil touch only setting like what Adobe Draw has. Otherwise, fantastic app always! 😁.Version: 2.2.0

Brilliant app to extend the desktopI’ve been using duet for a while, and although I had some issues in recent months they have all been sorted and the app is now better than ever. I work on a MacBook Pro and in the office use my iPad as a 3rd screen to keep apps like my calendar in view at all times. On the road it makes a good second screen or even for presentations as a last resort when there’s nothing bigger available!.Version: 2.1.1

Great app and great supportI have the new Apple MacBook Pro M1. Many programs have not yet been updated to the new architecture. Understandable, but no less inconvenient. I rely on my iPad (5th gen) as my second display, so I sent an email to Duet support inquiring about when I might expect an update. Was surprised to promptly receive a reply that they were working trying to figure out the new hardware. Fast forward to tonight - I receive an email from support with specific detailed info on deleting the old and a link to a new version compatible with the M1. Receiving a follow up email from a developer was a surprise in itself, however, loading the new version and finding it worked was an even greater surprise - I had my iPad as second display again! Now for the bonus surprise...I have read that the M1 only supports one external display and I have been using a 24" external display until I got my iPad display working again so I opened display prefs and found three monitors. I now have my Pro, one 24" external and the iPad display, nice. And with the iPad wirelessly connected, I have an even better setup than before. Am I happy? You bet - happy and impressed with Duet. Once again I can take my new M1 and iPad as my second monitor wherever I go. Duet support is to be commended..Version: 2.3.0

Great productI have been using Duet for a few years now using a MacBook and iPad Air 2. Having the extra screen really helps and this app makes connecting the two really easy. Saying that I had a problem recently after I upgraded my MacBook to Catalina where the iPad screen was blank. A quick email to support and they had me working again in no time. Apparently a setting had been changed during the upgrade, once I ticked the box everything was back as it should be. I can’t recommend this app enough and the support that goes with it..Version: 2.2.4

This app is amazingI love Duet. I only have room for a laptop and nowhere to put a second screen. This app lets me use my tablet to do this. I also bought a Mountie+ on their recommendation with attached my Tablet to my laptop firmly and unobtrusively. This app worked from the moment I plugged it in Is reliable and requires no special skill to set up. It has made a significant impact on my user experience. Had a recent issue after an IOS update. Emailed for help on a Sunday and got a response a few hours later. Solved instantly. Amazing customer support..Version: 2.2.8

Really great app and excellent for any older iPads as well as new onesIf you have an old/spare iPad laying around or even the one you’re using quite often and you’re using your iMac/MacBook/MacBook Pro as a main work/hobby driver have a try using those iPads as an external monitor with this app. Why? Once you’ll get more workspace you’ll see why. Just give it a try. It’s much easier this way than me explaining the benefits. This app is beyound doubt the easiest to do this, and yes it costs, but you pay to take out any hassles of configuration to make this work as literally plug and play so it is worth it. And it has been made by the former Apple engineers so it should work nicely with your main Apple gear. Pro tip: Get a trial in app to make sure everythings works before you’ll start paying for it and to see how great is having a extra monitor, especially when you are travelling. I can’t imagine you would be packing an extra LCD monitor in your luggage! I needed some tech support from this App developers and yes they have sorted my problem in timely manner and I can see they are a friendly bunch! I’m about to use it app for as long as I’ll have a MacBook Pro, so for a very long time :).Version: 2.22.0

Great addition for any computer setupHad this app a while now and works great. Can be used as a touch screen drawing tablet or simply as an additional monitor screen. Recently started using it with an iPad Pro and my work PC since working from home during COVID. My work requires me to do markups of PDF documents quite frequently and since working from home has transitioned to completely digital PDF markups which if you have experience in, can be a complete pain with a regular mouse and keyboard. The touch screen functionality with this app is fantastic for markups using the Apple Pencil with the iPad Pro for a seamless working experience. Compatible with windows computers which is a major selling point for any iPad users. My MacBook Pro is also too old to support the recently introduced ‘sidecar’ functionality so this provides a great alternative. Admittedly some limited functionality on the standard version, however subscription Air and pro versions are reasonably priced and certainly worth the additional features. Great customer service with any problems. Best option on the market that I’ve found so far..Version: 2.3.0

Thrilled about this appI recently found out about this app while doing an illustration project. I work cross platform on a pc at work and my MacBook when working from home. Due to the fact my MacBook was a 2015 model it was at the cutoff for ability to use sidecar. My goal was not so much about screen space but the ability to use my Apple Pencil and my iPad while working on the same project at work and at home. Duet was the answer for me. I initially installed on my windows machine at work which worked great. I had some permissions problems at first with getting to work on my MacBook Pro. Duet support contacted my quickly and Iwas able to resolve the issue. Now I have the ability to complete my project no matter which computer I’m working on. So happy to be able to use my iPad as a drawing tablet. Thank you Duet. MarcG.Version: 2.3.0

Great Support TeamThe support team got back to me in 30 mins!.Version: 2.2.4

Portable 2nd Screen - no sidecar optionI love this little app, have been using it for about 18 months and can’t tell you how useful and easy to use it is. While sidecar is available, I can’t use it on my laptop which is older than 2016. I thoroughly recommend this little app it’s worth the money as having two screens while out and about on the toad saves so much time. Keeping mails open while working on a spreadsheet to cross reference wasn’t an option before! Love it! When I had issues with an update I got fully supported and was up and running in minutes! Bravo!!.Version: 2.2.4

Great app, great supportI recently purchased Duet for my Flight Sim and music studio apps. I initially had some issues with iTunes and Duet causing some conflicts. However, after contacting the support team I was pleasantly surprised with the follow up. The team at Duet responded immediately and a couple of emails later, problem solve. This app is fantastic but the follow up I received made the small investment worth the purchase. -well done and thank you Vachi!.Version: 2.4.17

Would be lost without Duet DisplayGreat product that works seamlessly using my 13" HP laptop and iPad Pro 12.9. Proper dual screen and no noticeable lag with USB connection even over Horizon VDI session. Even works through a dock on my desktop to provide a fourth screen - but can't work out why I need one 🙄. Just got a new laptop and had a connection issue which turned out to be our corporate security problem but support from Duet was excellent and followed up to ensure all was OK..Version: 2.2.5

Perfect travel companionI travel a lot for business. I have taken small monitors with me, purchased monitors, borrowed monitors, and tried USB monitors. Nothing compares to Duet. I have an iPad Pro and a windows 10 Surface Book pc. It works perfectly! And it got even better when I found the option to set the resolution via the Duet icon in the windows hidden icons tray. Seriously, if you think you may want a second monitor, buy Duet (I have no business affiliation)..Version: 2.1.9
