✓ Cracking little appI attended an important meeting but forgot my trusty Olympus voice recorder. After a quick search of the App Store I took a gamble and bought this. I needn’t have worried. It’s a solid performer and captured the entire 50 minute meeting without a hitch. Sound quality obviously dependent on environmental factors and, crucially, the phone mic. My iPhone 12 Mini’s mic wasn’t as good as the one in the dedicated Olympus unit but, with this app, the meeting recording and subsequent ones have been strikingly good. It’s easy to set up and use the app too for recording and post processing. Within a few minutes of the meeting’s conclusion, I’d trimmed the recording, converted it to MP3, backed it up to Dropbox and emailed it out..Version: 6.1

✓ Voice RecorderOk so I’ve tried this app a few times, my only issue is when activated you can’t really hide the app on the screen when it’s running as there is a red bar across the top of your screen constantly until you turn the app off yourself and stop recording, but so long as you are not secretly recording anyone, no one else will know, but if you leave your phone exposed on a table face upwards for example and you get a text or phone call, the home screen lights up and also shows you are also recording, the only solution, never leave your phone alone, never leave your screen exposed to others.Version: 3.5

✓ Could be more efficientRecording lots of sound bites (including many retakes) is tedious. After every recording a success message appears. You have to wait for this to disappear , then go to another screen, then select the recording. Then listen back. If you are doing lots of quick retakes this work flow is cumbersome. ✓ Perfect!I rarely write any reviews, but, when I was prompted to tonight I gave this app 5 out of 5. First time I have given 5 stars for an app. This app to me is perfect for voice recording. As a comic, I often have ideas for sketches, so if I don’t have a pen ready, or not to get the idea down before I forget it, I use this app. I find if it’s just for notes, or if it’s for recording a conversation I think it’s great. It’s free with no annoying premium stuff or ad’s. Also, although it records in .WAV you can change it to .mp3 easily and it’s good for saving the recordings details, date, time etc… which helps me when looking for a particular one, if you want to, you can rename the recordings. And lastly, it’s hassle free for sharing your recording, via Airdrop, email and so on. So, all in all, if your looking for a top class, easy to use and free recording app, download this, it will not disappoint..Version: 6.1

✓ It’s great once you buy the appI had recoded a couple of important conversations and come to find out they we’re not saved! It didn’t even give me the option to upgrade and buy the app or immediately play it back to listen to my recording!! It’s like it was lost. ✓ Car Bluetooth bugI’m a journalist and I use your VoiceRecorder app for recording meetings for my job. It’s a great app and I use it almost daily. I do have a serious issue with it though. Every time I get in my car and my phone connects with the Bluetooth it starts a new recording, even if I quit and close the app. If I stop it on the dash or the phone it just starts recording again. I don’t know what to do or why it does it, but it’s terrible. I really like this app, but am considering trying a different one now because of this bug..Version: 3.5

Although the background hum can be annoying it gives me a very clear and consistent and reliable quality and it picks up audio from 100s of feet away. ✓ Great appI’m a guitarist. I travel a lot. I cary a high quality collapsable acoustic parlour guitar with me all the time. I cary a battery powered ToneWoodAmp clip on effects unit with me all the time. These two items let me sound like I’m plugged in on stage, when I’m on a boat, at the airport, around the campfire, or up a mountain. Voice recorder lets me record what I’m playing where ever I am. It lets me do basic trimming & listen to what I just played. Due to the various file saving formats, I can send my recording to my iPad editing software for analysis, of further refinement. VoiceRecorder gives me the last piece of my particular puzzle. It lets me record my music anywhere in high quality audio. My phone is always with me, so my recording device is now always with me. ✓ Needs some improvementI love using this app to record however the only thing that’s lacking with this app is the support of split screen. Whenever I’m recording lines I have to use a different screen to read my dialogue whilst recording. It’s annoying at times and if split screen were supported it would make recording so much easier..Version: 6.1
