✓ Fun episodic point and clickI have been playing the chapters as they release since this game first came out, and while it’s rough awaiting the last chapter, every release has been worth the wait, so I’m sure the end will be great. I highly recommend if you like games like myst, the room series, house of davinci, puzzle house rising, or any of the old Lucas art adventure game iPhone re-releases(day of tentacle, full throttle etc.). Agent A is right there gameplay wise, the puzzles are challenging without being ridiculously obtuse, I love how the solutions make sense, and you don’t need a walkthrough to beat the game, a big plus nowadays..Version: 4.2.2

✓ Enthralling and exciting!I love this game! I have been playing since it was first released with chapters 1&2 merged together. Since then I have been hooked awaiting the release of new chapters. The puzzles are great with a nice balance of difficulty while still keeping you on the edge of your seat. It allows you play for a long time or just solve one part of a puzzle quickly. This game is perfect for long car rides or relaxing evenings. Even after playing through multiple times I still find it entertaining and exciting like a good book that can be reread again and again. ✓ This game is delightful!I stumbled across this game whilst browsing through those display IPhones LOL and decided to buy it for my own device since I was so intrigued in store. Turns out this happens to be one of the best games I’ve literally ever played in my life. The added chapter was perhaps a bit too similar to The Room and I would have preferred it to have been more of a continuation of the earlier episodes. ✓ Chapter 5 updateUpdate post chapter 5 Chapter 5.......a bit of disappointment if I’m being honest. I thought with such a long delay that we were going to get something really special. Instead a lot of the puzzles didn’t have the linked logic of earlier chapters - they just felt thrown together. The plot was weak. As for the ending! - as my ten year old succinctly put it - “they biffed it, because they got bored” I’ve the left the review at 4 stars because the earlier chapters were so good and the hook at the end of the credits to Agent B gives us hope, but if I were reviewing just chapter 5 - 3 stars and just the ending? 2 stars! ✓ Best interactive puzzle gameBy far this is one of the greatest interactive puzzle games. The story, animations, music and acting are something to fall in love with in it’s own right. Its light and entertaining. The puzzles as well I found were clever and very fun. The most genius part of the puzzles was the ability to write notes in-game with multiple pages! So good! I dont have a smart pen and i have long nails yet was able to write neat notes. Its a small detail that makes a huge difference. Creative games like this are definitely worth supporting. ✓ A suggestion...I love your game and it’s very addictive and I play it all the time! But I would like to add something to the game. In some areas I always get stuck and don’t know what to do, so my suggestion is to have a way to earn hints in the game so people won’t get stuck. When players get stuck in the game they will probably stop playing because they often give up easily. But if you add a way to earn hints, players could guess what the next clue could be. That way players wouldn’t get super bored of the game because they get stuck. I hope you make this change to your game, to make it a bit easier for the people who give up easily. ✓ Awesome puzzler!With the release of Chapter 5, we leave a wonderful game behind - farewell! As it stands, this is one of the BEST puzzle games around. The puzzles are of the point-and-click variety and perhaps up until the 5th chapter, you could get away with just scribbling notes on pen and paper or in the memo section of the game. ✓ Great puzzleThis is for all you “escape the room” fans. Find the clues! Search for hidden buttons! And most importantly... stop Ruby! I stumbled upon this game at an Apple store. Demo. 2015. There was something about it that drew me in. The art, the story, puzzle. This was way back when they only had a single playthrough! Which nowadays is chapter one and two. I was satisfied with the game and felt it was well worth the money. But surprise surprise chapter 3 rolled out and yet again I find myself enjoying the new puzzle and to make it better, chapter 4 and 5 were on the way. No additional fees! ✓ Better than the Room seriesHi Yak & Co Just wanted to say AWESOME job with this game. I thoroughly enjoyed it- more than the Room series (which I own). The Room is gloomy, fiddly and exhausting- and having the clues means I cheated most of my way through. The game’s bright colours, witty conversations (Agent A’s remarks lol) and tricky puzzles got me addicted. I like that you don’t offer hints - it’s a true brain teaser and I don’t rush it. Though it’s frustrating as heck sometimes, I take my time, retrace my steps and eventually solve the puzzle, all the while building more neuronal synapses. I appreciated the notebook function - now I don’t have to scribble stuff down on random pieces of paper which then disappear (or get eaten by the dog- no joke). But seriously this is one addictive game. I deleted Netflix off my phone in order to cut down screen time... then I saw that chapter 5 was out (sigh). Great job guys! ✓ Loved it, but.......I loved this game. I’m a real fan of this genre which works so well on tablets and phones. I don’t mind paying for a good game as I hate in-app purchasing. The game is smooth, well designed and not too easy, which is important. Here comes the ‘but’, where is chapter Five? It seemed like half the puzzles near the end were unsolved and the game just ended with ‘Chapter 5 coming soon’. I will be bitterly disappointed if they try and make me pay for Chapters 5 to whatever. It’s just another form of slightly more palatable in-app purchasing. Hopefully it won’t cost and will tie up all the puzzles which seem to be still unsolved. Update: delighted to hear that chapter 5 is free to those who have already purchased the game. ✓ Completed it, great game but some suggestions.Played through a few times. Like it a lot, reminds me of the Carmen Sandiego game. Typical even villainess, lol. Great puzzles and cutscenes. Perhaps some hints needed for more difficult areas of game/puzzles or suggestions what to do. Make it optional so we have to tap if using a hint. Notebook: enable a screenshot taking, annotating and saving function, and a few more pages would be good as ran out of room from Ch1. If we can overlay our screenshot too onto game as we play, it can help with the more difficult logic puzzles. Also the Gasbag Gunther achievement too easy to mess up, simplify it and allow multiple fish to be brought at once. Also should be a note when pausing the game that it doesn’t stop game lock running, either fix this so it does or add a note, as it makes the speed run achievement difficult unless exit out to menu and continue after..Version: 5.3.8

✓ Immensely satisfyingA game *almost* without fault! It would have improved gameplay to have a basic map-teleport, to get between locations. The final chapter traipsing up and down to the beach at a dozen clicks a time took an exciting puzzle to a boring burpee run. Being able to rapidly move between basic key points, eg beach to elevator, would have definitely improved the gameplay. Otherwise, a great game. Puzzles had me feeling a bit smug for working them out - not too obvious, but not too tricky either. I did resort to a walkthrough a couple of times, when I couldn’t think what to do next (cue: ohhhhh, of COURSE!) but I don’t think I needed help to actually solve them. The gentle hints via item description or nudges when I tried an almost right thing really worked well for me. Great work, team. Absolutely worth the money..Version: 5.4.0

The puzzles range from easy to medium, so kids will be able to do most of them. The only thing that I missed was a hint system. We had to look up a walk through at a couple points. ✓ Entertaining play,I beat all 4 chapters in about 2 hours, but it’s definitely a fun play. Some of the writing is a bit cringe-y, but the visuals and gameplay are great. Some parts very easy, some a bit more challenging, other parts running around trying to figure out what you missed. Reminds me of computer games I loved as a kid. Wish Chapter 5 was done for some closure, but they obviously spent a great deal of time developing this. 4.5/5, could be perfect if they finessed the writing a bit (I don’t think a suave, mustache’d Agent A would have the same goofy thoughts as a 14-year old kid, but that’s just my $0.02). If the main character was much younger, I think the writing style for his voice would make more sense, but the “squee!” kind of inner thoughts don’t match the James Bond exterior. ✓ Up there with the best!I am probably someone who spends a lot of time and money on iOS games and can definitely say this series is one of the best out there.I have a handful of developers with which I get excited when a new game comes out these include Wadget eye games, Glitch games, Pendulo Studios and the Rusty Lake series of games among others. This series is just as enjoyable and incredibly generous too, in fact probably the most generous of any I’ve played with their free extra chapters. I would have been more than happy to pay for each chapter as they are so good and I will now add theses Devs to the list of ones to keep my eye out for. The puzzles sometimes aren’t too clever and devolve into tapping everything on screen to figure out what is what. Playing on an iPhone 13 Pro Max, I am constantly accidentally triggering a two finger tap, some form of edge/palm rejection is needed. The storyline is thoroughly engaging and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The controls are very simple and add ease to gameplay. ✓ Brilliant! Utterly brilliant!!Finally a game with a story, humour, and puzzles to make you think but not despair! I’ve been playing this since it was first released and at first felt a little miffed that I had to wait for Chapter 2 but that was soon quashed when it arrived with a bang! Each subsequent chapter is an improvement on the previous with everything being so cleverly worked out. Plus you don’t have to pay for each chapter! Another brilliant thing is the fact it saves every time you exit so you pick up exactly where you left off. This even happened when my device crashed! The music adds atmosphere without being too intrusive and the stylised artwork makes it all a joy. Do yourself a favour and buy this now! ✓ A game to rememberDefinitely a game changer when it comes to the storytelling puzzle games genre. I got hooked from the very beginning! I like how they never implied our gender, making us genderless. Anyone can relate to the main character “Agent A” and that’s awesome. There was also a teaser at the end of the credits I very much enjoyed. I was sitting there like “man, is this journey really over?” and boom! Agent B cutscene right at the very end. We do know though that this one is a woman, which is very interesting. Maybe that actually implies that Agent A might be a man? I am not sure. It only comes with four (fifth one isn’t out yet) short chapters which you could complete in less than a day and most of the puzzles are pretty easy. ✓ Great Game Frustrating EndingI loved the game. It was a great way to kill time without having to play one of those match 3 games which are all the same. The puzzles are challenging and the premise is entertaining. I enjoyed having to collect items in order to access puzzles and having to solve puzzles before you can move forward. My only complaint would be the ending. You do all of this work and end up unable to complete the entire objective of the game!! In the fourth section in particular, there are all these visual clues running through but we never actually meet the puzzles — instead you’re just trotting from screen laboriously back to start to gather scraps of blueprint. Who cares? There were too often stretches with very little breadth in story 4. Most of the time I spent with only one puzzle in front of me, rather than having multiple fronts to work against. The game is much more fun when I have six things I know are clues and three things I need to find solution for. (Earlier sections do better on this.) ✓ Chapter 4 was a let down...With all the anticipation building around the next stage of the game coming out in December, I was thrilled to see an update today to include Chapter 4. Sadly, it took me just over half an hour to complete. It was just too easy and too short! There were no puzzles at all - just walking around finding stuff and remembering some numbers. ✓ Is this a glitch?I love this game! However, I can’t complete it. In the tool shed there’s a box that you gain access to through a key. Once I opened this box its apparently supposed to have a hammer, a wedge piece, the key to the power box, and a light bulb. But for whatever reason, I had everything but the light bulb. I play on iOS, so there’s a chance that it’s different for iOS users? I deleted the game and got it back,( And redid it up to chapter 2) but still no luck. Around the lighthouse, right hand side path on some of the maps) a little more obvious, as I found myself stuck more because of not knowing there was another area - rather than being stumped by connecting the dots/the puzzles themselves. However, I’m having issues with finding the final blueprint in chapter 5. I’m unsure if it’s a glitch, but I believe the final blueprint is supposed to be found under the jerry jet pack was... ✓ Great game for kids tooI’m a dad with two boys (ages 3 and 6) and we have had some real quality time playing this game. They have gone into conniptions over some of the dramatic cinematics, and Ruby and Agent A have both made it into their gameplay and storytelling. From a developmental point of view I think the game is top notch as well. No seriously! The boys are exercising their memory, logic, lateral thinking, and object associations. They’ve been seriously impressive in the game and I think it’s a good one for developing these skills. There’s been a couple things that I’ve had to straight up tell them how to get through, for instance at their age they don’t know what a Bunsen burner is so wouldn’t think to light it on fire with the flip lighter, etc. Also the game is gorgeous and brilliantly made. I will try and keep this short, but there was probably one downfall. As the maps are so big you need to go back and forth to other rooms. ✓ Good gameThis is a good four hour escape adventure type game with boxy but cute animation. One part keeps you in one room sort of like the Room series. The last phase has you chasing everywhere in a maze like manner going back and forth like a mouse trying to remember where everything is. A few times I got stuck and needed a walkthrough but it wasn’t overly ridiculous, like some escape games are. The single room section was a bit tough and can just about drive you batty. But the cut scenes are fun and drive the plot very well, so you want to see how it turns out. It’s sort of like a spy versus spy type plot. Cute counterspy with a cute cat. Good voice actors. ✓ Love it!It's a great game! I like the comments that Agent A makes on Ruby's objects (whether they are useful tools or not). The setting for how to use different objects is also very good. You actually need some brain and common sense to be able to get the solutions, but they are not that hard to get to. I particularly liked the part in Chapter 4 of filling the empty bucket with water and pouring it on the electricity box to get through the walls of the signal tower. And the part of the steam in the bathroom showing the solution to the clock in Chapter 1 (or maybe it's 2). Graphics also nice! One thing which might be a flaw though: I think a normal agent/spy will not simply just believe every word the enemy says. But in Chapter 3, it looks like that Agent A just believed that hitting the red button would stop the bomb. Of course, she had nothing better to do then, being locked and watched by Ruby. But I would expect at least a few sentences of doubts, thoughts and struggles in her mind. Same problem in Chapter 4. I would assume that, after hitting the button and blowing up the bridge at the end of Chapter 3, Agent A will feel at least some guilt or regret, but I don't see much of it. I normally don’t enjoy escape the room games because there isn’t normally any kind of purpose or story. They are usually just thrown together. This one is not. I also love how the levels flow nicely with the story instead of jumping into an entirely different/new setting/purpose each time a level is completed. Also! It is not too hard. Sometimes games like this get so hard that you’re literally clicking on anything and everything to figure out what to do next...or I have to cheat and use google, but this is just challenging enough. You know what you need to do or look for next, it’s just figuring out where to look and how to get it accomplished that is the challenge. All of the challenges are practical and make sense. You’re not looking for an item in some random spot no one would ever think to look and you’re not looking for things in places they would never belong. This game is worth the money. ✓ Stylish and fun adventure game with a perfect difficulty levelThis game is an ideal paradigm for modern adventure/puzzle games. Lovely graphics with a 1960s feel are well matched by a level of difficulty that is tough enough to get you thinking but not so tough that you want to give up. Some of the steps in the game are seemingly impossible but are easier than you first assumed. If you get stuck, just put the game down for a day or two and try again. I completed the game with no hints at all. It did take me a while though. I do have some complaints though. For example, in the first chapter, we read of 'Majesty's Secret Service'. Really? 'Majesty's'? Good grief, Charlie Brown. It's small details like that which are not always easy to get right, but thankfully they don't affect the game too much as long as you ignore them. ✓ AAA PuzzlerIf you’ve played a lot of iOS puzzle games, Agent A doesn’t really offer anything original. The first major chapter is basically a room escape game using puzzles similar to the adware apps from several Japanese developers. The second chapter is more about unlocking a mystery box like you’d find in the Room series. The remaining two chapters have a more open exploration feel (with much backtracking) but have the same “now I need to find a wrench” feel. What Agent A does well though is wrap these familiar mechanics into a premium package. The scale is much larger than what you get with freeware or adware. The graphics and music are attractive and thematically consistent. There is an obvious homage to 60’s spy drama, but it’s more “Get Smart” than Bond, and there are several shoutouts to the series.
