YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet for Positive User Reviews

DisappointedI was so hopeful about using this app, wanting an Australian one, however, dealbreakers for me were: hardly any common Australian supermarket foods were found and it’s not easy to add them. When you do add them the barcode isn’t recognised for future entries anyway, nor can they be modified or deleted; this is AUSTRALIA and its advertised as an Australian app yet there’s no mention of kilojoules!!! Have a look on every product nutrition panel - energy is on kilojoules. Our diet plans are in kilojoules! It didn’t take long to get sick of converting and trying to duel think calories/kilojoules all day; also no monthly payment plan for pro features. Many people have a few kids and struggle with their budget. I, for one, would be likely to find a smaller monthly amount but rarely able to justify $30 up front. By the time I saved that up I’d be ‘over it’ and it would’ve been redirected. So, unfortunately I’ve gone back to the US app that is more Au friendly than this one. Hopefully this app will develop to suit our needs in the future..Version: 4.10.4

Great App!I wish I would have found this app a long time ago! I am finally starting to see some weight loss. Yay! I hope that it helps a lot of people like me who seem to be stuck in the same weight merry-go-round..Version: 4.8.3

Great app but lacks Keto & Carnivore Diet optionsJust started using the app today, and really like it. However, I was surprised to see that it didn’t have the Keto and Carnivore diet options to choose from given their growing popularity. Only Standard (with meat), Pescatarian, Vegetarian, & Vegan options are available. This creates an issue with all the measurements being way off for Protein, Fat, & Carbs. I can still use it to track what I’ve eaten and use my own guide for the macros but it would be nice if I could do it all from inside this app. If these options get added I’ll change my rating to 5 stars..Version: 8.15.2

I don’t usually write reviews butWhen I say DOWNLOAD THIS APP I mean it, this app has changed my life in many ways, and many other apps require you to purchase a subscription just to log calories, this app won’t require you a subscription to log calories, but if you were to buy a subscription.. you would receive much more access, like knowing exactly what’s in your food (refined sugar fiber sat. fat), and you would also be able to find many different recipes on the app! I’m not in the best financial situation so I use the app without a subscription, but it has helped me go onto a calorie deficit, has helped me lose fat and replace it with muscle, and has helped my mental and health overall! So I would strongly recommend this app for those are looking to change their life for the better!.Version: 8.14.3

YAZIO is changing my life for the betterI have been using the app for a little while now and I've found a bunch of new recipes that are so tasty and healthy! Writing this review after enjoying a banana and blueberry smoothie :) Heavenly (I added some honey flavoured yoghurt 😅).Version: 7.9.4

Very useful but beware ...Very useful but its one weakness is that it does not have flexible goals depending on how much exercise you do. Example - if I consume 50 calories more than YAZIO recommends but burn 700 through exercise, I still get an amber warning colour. Given that the weight loss profile is about 700 calories a day lower than maintenance, this means you can end up in calorie deficit if you are active. A couple of times I felt dizzy through not eating enough. But I lost 30 pounds in 2 months with this app so I can’t complain..Version: 5.9.1

Down down down - kilos that isIn 2.5 months using this I lost over 6 kgs. From a starting point of 75. I did combine it with rucking every day though. But I definitely think the fasting played a bigger role, as I have been walking everyday since 1 January - just started using weighted rucksack at the same time as I started this app. I feel heaps better for fasting, and while it can be a little frustrating finding the right food in the database or creating your own, and random or home made meals can be a challenge, over all it is worth it. The time spent using this app is way more productive and better for you than doom scrolling through social media or the drivel that is called mainstream media these days. Highly recommend this app. But you have to commit to it..Version: 9.8.2

Better than MFPSo like many people, once MFP decided to start charging users as much as a gym membership to use the barcode, I was on the hunt for a new calorie tracking app. I tired them all - cronometer, lose it, etc and those were still pretty limited to me or just not super user friendly. YAZIO has been the best so far. It’s got the barcode, you can change your cals and very user friendly. Only thing is, even though I’m connected to my Apple health, it doesn’t track my steps even though I wear an Apple Watch that’s connected to my health app which is connected to YAZIO. Other than that, this is my favorite app now. Thanks!!.Version: 8.3.12

Martin DuffieldI’ve been using this YAZIO app for 8 weeks now and my weight has gone from just in the 17 stones to 15 stone 12 lbs I’ve never done diets as I’ve always been quite active and although I’ve always been quite a healthy eater my portions were too big but now I’ve got the YAZIO app it’s helped me tremendously and my weight has been going down since it’s amazing how something you do from the time we are born until the time we die is eat and how little we understand food I still have a lot to learn but with YAZIO I know will get there so Thank you and keep up the good work Martin.Version: 5.2.2

Useful calorie trackerUsing the free app (which is perfectly adequate), I can track my target calories, water intake, weight loss and health data linked to another app. Finding and/or uploading food types or products is easy. Very happy with this..Version: 7.2.5

Great app but a couple of complaintsI’m giving this app a 4 star rating because it is a great app. However, the fasting tracker doesn’t track properly. I have my fasting time set to MWF, but it doesn’t keep the schedule correctly. It is saying that I can eat today when it’s supposed to be a fasting day. I am now going to have to manually set the fasting period and for the second time. Also when I look at my fasting history which only started this week, the days are off. It doesn’t show that I fasted on Monday, which I did. Something needs to be fixed the fasting tracker..Version: 7.2.2

Please make a convenient analytics boardI would like to suggest an enhancement for your application concerning the presentation of dietary data. It would be beneficial to have a single, customizable dashboard feature where users can select and view different metrics simultaneously. This is how I envision the feature: 1. Upon opening the application, the user would be greeted with a timeline or a dashboard. 2. The user then has the option to select metrics they are interested in, such as “Dietary Energy,” “Active Energy,” and “Weight”. 3. These chosen metrics should be presented in a comparative manner, allowing users to see how their weight alterations correlate with changes in their consumed and burned calories. By doing this, users would be able to observe and better understand their health patterns, thereby enhancing the overall value of your application. I believe this proposed feature would greatly improve user experience by allowing for more personalized and in-depth insights..Version: 8.14.1

Love it.I’ve had it for about 2yrs. At first there were some things that were frustrating but I stuck with it & it keeps getting better as they are always developing the app.. it’s easy to use, has a large data base & if it’s not there it’s easy to add it..Version: 6.8.3

IncredibleI have tried to lose weight for about 5 years and no joy. The accountability, tips and tracking have helped me lose 12 kg in 3 months. Fasting has been a huge help. Brilliant app for me.Version: 7.2.5

Finally, a great Calorie Counting app!I spotted this app on an iPad in a UK Apple store and decided to give it a go. After the initial trial, I was so impressed that I bought a lifetime subscription! It is constantly updated with improvements, and my only hope is that it is not over bloated with unwanted features, which has stopped me using other calorie counting apps; and trust me I've tried them all! There are a few things it could do better, for example a search doesn't always bring up my starred ⭐️ options straight away. Also, I would like a way of hiding a food from my previously chosen list, as many times I chose food in error and have replaced it with something else. Also, I'd love the option to choose from more than one database; my partner is Italian and a lot of the items we buy food items that originate from Italy. I would also, when searching, would like to be able to specify whether to search a database, my own created recipes or my own created meals. Additionally, the creation of recipes and meals could do with a little refinement. I know I have mentioned a few things but trust me, this is still a great app and I'm sure it will only get better. A big thank you to the YAZIO Team..Version: 8.15.2

Pretty goodIt took me a few attempts to get in to the app. I do really like the recipe suggestions though and think the paid features are worth the extra. Previous reviews have bemoaned the lack of products on the ingredients list, but this has vastly expanded now. If anything you have to look out for a few odd misleading entries that claim eg 100g of custard is 45kcal. Very good for getting you portion size right and tracking progress..Version: 6.7.2

Love itI love the app just need to have more food support to add to your log like the competitor app. Everything else it excels at..Version: 6.3.0

Could be betterThere are several areas to improve upon. It would be nice to have the Create a recipe option that’s not hidden. Also, several items like Hersheys chocolate Twizzlers shows as one piece for 120 kcal. That’s not true. Package specifically states 120kcal per serving which is 4 pieces. So someone who isn’t comparing the calories to the package is scamming themselves out of calories. This has happened SEVERAL times to foods that are supposedly “verified” which is a complete lie. For items not showing up on the food list when scanned, make the option to add your own item more customizable. You can’t ask for calories unless you define if it’s per serving or total package. I used a pack of chili seasoning in a recipe. Is it per serving or per package??? For a paid app, these simple errors are NOT worth paying for when I have to over correct it and make it work. Do better YAZIO. Weight watchers has a far more successful and superior app than this..Version: 8.14.3

Has become extremely buggyThis app over time has become extremely buggy and unreliable over time to the point that I do not want to use it and could not recommend anyone pay for it in its current state. Subscription is a waste of money when the app doesn’t work half the time..Version: 7.5.0

GénialSuper application, merci.Version: 10.3.1

Please read this if you want a real reviewI’ve been feeling pretty bad about my body and struggling about what foods to eat. I have no idea what to eat and I was just gaining I didn’t trust them any apps, because most of them were crap, but I decided just to download this because it kept on coming in my adds that was a great choice. It’s much easier to track my foods. There’s a whole bunch of selections. It’s crazy. What a good app this is I lost 4 pounds in a week, so yeah I did workout to though 40 minutes a day so if you want something to help you with food I definitely recommend this.Version: 9.8.2

J’aimeJ’aime beaucoup sa fonctionne bien avec ma Iwach et le programme et très bien fait juste à améliorer le scanner.Version: 5.2.6

THE BEST (not biased I stg)I don’t usually write reviews but I am truly impressed by this app and felt I should give credit where credit is due. This is by far the best diet aid app I have found and I’ve been through many trying to find the perfect one. It has everything you need all in one and there’s no hidden charges like others. What I especially like about this app is their extensive recipes, one thing I struggle with as an athlete is getting enough, good, calories and the recipes have helped tremendously as they are all light wholesome ingredients (perfect for an active lifestyle). Another great aspect is their new addition for notes so that way you can track how you are feeling if you are in a new diet or if you just want to decompress. There are so many meal plan options so you can choose what is right for you or just track what you are already doing!:) facts.Version: 6.5.3

It is hood but there is no barcode scanThe app is good and visibility of macros is good. However it is missing the barcode scan for easy track of food..Version: 7.7.4

Good calorie counterI really enjoy this app. I’ve used lots of different counter during my weight loss but this is the first I’ve actually been happy to pay for. It’s nice and easy to use, the data is accurate and even if it’s not or you can’t find your ingredient adding it yourself is super easy. The recipes on here are also good; they don’t need 1000 different ingredients from specialty shops and are really delicious. Definitely recommend..Version: 6.4.5

Really a great jobI have started using this app from past 3 weeks and it helped me alot to change my diet and for calorie control. previously i used to be a binge eater espically when it comes to midnight snacks. after using this app i started looking for fat and sugar content in my food products and have strtd drinking more water. my midnight snack cravings are almost gone i dont snack anything after my dinner. highly recommend this app for people who wants to loose weight and wants to have a healthy diet this app will motivate you to change your lifestyle for better..Version: 6.3.2

Hands down the best calorie trackerI’ve never written a review before but for this app I felt I needed to make an exception. I’ve tried every other calorie counter and none make it as easy and convenient as this one. For example, most other calorie counter apps require you to go through an entire process to create “meals”, but this app pairs foods that you often combine as meals so you don’t have to. There are countless more examples of how this app excels so just use this and save yourself time!.Version: 7.2.4

Minor thingsApp takes a wile to load. Doesn’t have many if any Asian style dishes like even basics like teriyaki chicken. Because the whole app is online it sometimes takes a very long time to load which with an app like this that you want to use fast can be really annoying. I wish the interface was a bit cleaner and faster and I also wish that it could allow you to duplicate meal sets without making a meal. For example being able to copy what you had for breakfast or lunch yesterday with a single button press..Version: 4.6.1

Best app for weight lossI was 57kg just 3weeks ago and now I’m 54kg. I don’t exercise, unless it’s for school. Instead I eat healthily, drink lots of water and track my food. I love how it gives you an estimate for when you’ll reach your goal. My goal is 45kg and I should reach it by Early November. Best. App ever, highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️❤️.Version: 4.10.4

Just what I neededThis app is really good. It has a huge database of foods and it is really easy to add your own. I do have one problem that has barred 5/5. I use a different app to track my water intake. And for some reason YAZIO doesn’t have the capability to read the data into the app. I would really love to see this as a feature in the next big update or even as a minor addition. Thanks. :-).Version: 5.2.6

Easiest way to manage my dayPrevious apps were too intricate and related to American foods that weren’t accessible in New Zealand. YAZIO has provided me with not only an easy platform to use to manage my day and intake of food and water but it’s also my own personal lil conscience stalker that prompts me. Love how it links into apps I already use and allows the use of Siri to add as well. Recipes are simple and tasty and I’m in love with the cook mode!! Hi 👋 to the developers!!.Version: 5.5.2

I Love This! Finally! An app that does not only do traditional tracking, but also incorporates intermittent fasting if you would like to have it all it one app. I love the color rich, inviting look of the app and how easy it is to use. I’m usually not a fan of subscription tracking apps, but Yazio is worth every penny. I have gritted my teeth and used MyFitnessPal for years (I even tried the premium), always hating the look and feel of the app. It was adequate. Yazio leaves MyFitnessPal in the dust. This is the perfect app if you would like to move past entry-level tracking..Version: 7.9.1

I really enjoy the app, but some things should be accessible without premiumSo I had premium for one year and it was great, but going back to the normal mode feels,, disadvantaging? I can’t track macronutrients without premium, you can’t track fasting without premium, you can’t look at the specific outline for every meal you had without premium, I can’t view recipes that I saved while I had premium. I’d much rather pay a one time 5.99 for all of the recipes than buy premium for a year again. I think you guys just took away things that are normal in normal fitness app and locked them behind a £22 premium plan that I cannot afford..Version: 6.8.2

Brilliantly easyThis app is so simple it's honestly so easy to use and manage I'd honestly recommend it to anyone trying to get healthier.Version: 4.2.1

Updated reviewOk back to 5* now, I thought the latest update ruined everything and I had a bit of a rant, but thanks to the developers’ quick response I managed to fix it. Turns out there were either 2 updates in quick succession, or my phone just had a bit of a fit. This is my favorite app for tracking calories, it has thousands of recipes so that everyone can find something for themselves. Would love to see the ability to mark recipes as favorite (this is not the same as save for later) but otherwise a great tool to stay on top of your nutrition!.Version: 7.2.1

I love this app so worth it !!It helps me to see how I’m eating and where I have too many calories and eat less calories. Works better in weight loss than anything I’ve ever tried. It also motivates me to exercise because I see every single calorie I’m burning and it’s so cool! One thing I wish they would add is so you can make your own recipe without putting in calories and nutrition facts because I don’t know what they are if the recipe is homemade. It should be able to calculate nutrition facts by itself. Anyways, great app totally worth it!!.Version: 10.0.2

I love the app but the UI is twitchyExactly as the title says, this app actually makes the yearly $20 subscription worth paying for. I like the grades tiers that the recommended meal calories are broken down into and it actually has helped some of my health issues surrounding my GI to follow the recommendations! So when I say I love it: I really mean I love it. My only complaints are really that the keyboard on the IOS version tends to bug out sometimes when you’re trying to log food an inevitably have to type something in. It doesn’t keep you from logging by any means but it’s definitely a bit annoying when you’re like me and are constantly in a big hurry! Also some of the serving sizes people input into the foods are WILDLY incorrect, but that isn’t so much the fault of the app as it is the userbase. So if you plan on using it, be prepared to have to double check everything packaged! Other than that, it’s great..Version: 8.7.3

Just needs a meal plannerLove this app. Super easy to use, great features for calorie tracking. Feel like the recipe features could be build out more. Getting the same meals over and over and no way to add them to a planner. So unless you write down manually what you’re having and when the whole recipe part is more a gimmick than anything..Version: 9.8.2

Good app - more functions would be niceThis is a great app!! Having used MyFitnessPal for logging my food and activity for years, it’s nice to have this app which is more streamlined to intermittent fasting. Pros The encouragement from the app about what stage my body is in during my fast is great! Love the water feature - very easy! Love the little bits of information provided about fasting - keeps me motivated!! Cons The app is usable as the free version but it would be nice to have some of the ‘Pro’ features enabled such as tracking my macros or allowing the app to use the different fasting time lengths without having to manually changing my times. It would be nice if it could be linked to Strava so my activities link in automatically All in all, the difficulties are not outweighed by the amazing ness of this app - I will continue to use it.Version: 7.1.6

Nice clean calorie counterFor the price this is an easy choice in the world of calorie counters. Very nice clean interface, ability to easily add recipes which then display in grams as well as per serve, good library of foods (though very U.S. centred, it would be cool to restrict results to your home country). The only thing it’s missing is some adaptive AI to keep you on track to achieve your stated goal - for example, if you keep exceeding your target, some analysis as you why and suggestions for change. Or, if you’re hitting your target calories but not shifting weight, then the AI could suggest the appropriate target amendment..Version: 10.6.1

Good app but...So I have been using this for a few weeks ow and I have some comments to make, perhaps you can make some changes. First, at the beginning I entered my weight and the app reported that I had 15 weeks left until I reached my goal... now admittedly the process it’s a lot slower and I believe this must be week 6 or 7 that I am using the app, but because I lost only 2.7 kilos since it’s still says 12 weeks left... It would be nicer if it told me when I actually started my diet and how many weeks of the challenge I have left to put some pressure as well... otherwise it feels like I have all the time in the world. Second, sometimes I reach my carbs and protein limits but I still have something like 1000 calories to reach, especially the days I workout. But the app doesn’t adjust to this, so if I workout can I consume more carbs or is there a way to reach my calories without carbs proteins or fat? This is a bit disappointing as it always lets me thinking that I am not doing this properly. I will give it some more time and see how it goes..Version: 5.9.4

Excellent AppI love this app!! I’ve tried Fitness Pal, Calorie Counter and Lose it to name a few and none of them combine the great features as this app does. The dashboard it clear and with lots of instant info inc. daily meals, weight, water intake, and more. There are hundreds of great recipes tailored to dietary needs and with a filter to enable so many different searches. You can instantly add all of the ingredients to your shopping list or simply add the full recipe to your diary! No other app offers this the same way. You can also add your own recipes and all the recipes can be printed Another great feature is the serving size - simply click the +- buttons to increase or decrease serving size and it automatically amends quantities. It also includes fasting options - some fasting apps cost as much as this does so it’s such good value. I think some of the negative remarks on other reviews are unjustified. This is really excellent and I’ve had no issues at all! For what this offers compared to other apps it’s excellent. I’m not wanting the training exercise features which some others offer, I just want a good app for calorie counting with recipes and nutritional info along with combining this with my Bluetooth scales and Apple Watch and it offers all of this so perfect!!.Version: 6.7.2

Keeping me on trackI am loving the reminders to snack - I'm so busy and useless that normally I forget so love this aspect of the ap. easy to use and input new foods etc..Version: 4.3

Love the appAmazing! Multilingual / multinational foods database, barcode scanner, fasting tracker (personally I don’t use, but it is a great feature), 100s of recipes and functional widgets. Can connect to Apple Health and track steps. Can create meals by grouping foods together. Can create recipes. There is nothing impossible for Yazio! My only recommendation is to be able to change emojis / icons on meals of the day. Still, Yazio will always remain my first choice calorie tracker..Version: 9.3.1

Great app, just wish I could do moreSo I just decided on a whim to give this app a look. At first I was a bit disappointed... there’s so many things that require a subscription payment. I then noticed that the app offers healthy food recipes as a recommended meal for the day. Not only does it offer to show you what you can make, but I was thrilled that I can adjust the serving sizes. (Since I usually make and eat my meals alone) they allow for a shopping cart so you can keep track of the amount you need, they gave instructions too, which help with prepping the meals. Overall a good app, I just don’t have the money to pour into the subscription is all..Version: 5.9.4

Beginners experienceThis is my fourth day of my journey to weight loss. I am getting used to the various features of the app. It is excellent the food diary is very useful to me. At one glance, I can see all the food intake, calories used. I have encouraged my friends to get this app..Version: 9.8.2

Nicely designed but crowdsourced food database isn’t properly managed. This is a very nicely designed and easy to use app but the food database has lots of conflicting entries for the same thing. Search Nando’s or Itsu for examples but this applies to all types of foods including basics from supermarkets. This is because the app allows any user to create new entries and make them visible to all other users. If someone enters something wrongly everyone sees it. The upshot is that the ease of use is spoiled because you can’t just scan or search for a food. If you are in a popular restaurant or eating something very popular (e.g. eggs, carrots etc) then you have spend ages figuring out which entry to choose. The app should allow the user to only see which entries come from the “official” database, which are the user’s own entries, and which come from other users..Version: 6.4.6

Great appLost 1.5 kilos in 5 days. Kept me on track. Love the app..Version: 4.7.7

Love this appLove this app, I’ve successfully lost 10 kilo’s so far and it’s working exactly to the plan. It’s really keeping me on track, it’s been a godsend. My only qtn is with the last update the format is all different now and for some reason the carb/protein/fat amounts were at a set amount and since the update those amounts have changed and I’m wondering why? This will influence my results so I’d really like some info on this please. There haven’t been any changes my end so I really don’t know why this is so?? Otherwise I’ll be using YAZIO until I reach my goal weight!.Version: 6.0.1

Brilliant Customer ServiceFirstly, I love this app as it is.. I had a problem with moving my account details. I wanted instead of having my Apple ID as login to change it to my other email, and support answered my emails so swiftly and immediately solved my problems, that I was in shock… in a good way! Recommend it in a many ways. Thanks Lotta and love the paws with your signature!.Version: 7.8.3

Great but...I love the app. Everything is great other than the fact there is no option to change your time zone. I’ve found mine resetting in the middle of the day, presumably according to EST instead of AEDT. It makes my diary a bit inconvenient..Version: 7.1.8

Keeps me on trackCounting calories really helps my weight loss program. I enjoy all aspects including recording my water intake. This app links to my exercise app & scales so everything comes together! Love it👍.Version: 8.9.1

Great assistant for losing weightThis is the only app I’ve used for weight loss. I’m 58, never tried to lose a pound before, and it’s been instrumental as I’ve went from 190 pounds down to my college weight of 165. It’s easy to set up a goal, enter meals, and see how many calories you’ve consumed. The program automatically found the Health app on my iPhone to track the calories I burn walking and exercising daily. In summary it is easier to use than I expected, performs more tasks than I expected, and the price is right (free). You can upgrade to a paid version but I see no reason to. If I’m ever forced to pay I’ll move on to a different app or do without..Version: 5.2.6

Glad to be back!So good. Gave using this a break for several months ( thought I would continue steadily), but weight slowly crept up. So back again with renewed vigour. I noticed that the reminders are now very down to earth so extra helpful..Version: 5.7.1

Great app but...Easy to use. I’ve been using it for about four days and I really love it. I am trying to lose 30 more pounds after having a baby, I’ve lost 50 so far just on my own but I’ve stopped making progress. This gives me a clear idea of where I am at each day. I love that it calculates how much I’ve burned based on how many steps I’ve taken. In app purchases bother me. It seems that’s the only app there is anymore but this app asks me to input information on new foods or recipes that I am restricted to seeing calculated in my daily total unless I pay a subscription fee. Seems unbalanced. But I will keep using the free version because I’ve enjoyed it so much.Version: 6.4.5

Great appI’ve been using it for years, and it is a great app: - it has a great library of food options - you can customize recipes and foods - it connects to your fitness apps - the interface is visually appealing - it has great micro and macronutrient summaries for the day - you can incorporate fasting - the price is right I don’t foresee myself using any other food tracking app. Keep up the good work..Version: 9.4.0

I love this app, please add this function!I want to access on my own recipes easier. The only way I can access and modify my recipe is adding what I eat. I hope I have a menu in recipe section to access my own recipes as well as other recipes.Version: 8.5.1

I REALLY LIKE ITThere are almost every foods(even my country's(Korea) foods), and it really helpful to a diet, because I can see calories of what I ate and see what nutrients am I missing!! It really really nice.. No ads and no payment!! I will say it's the best app ever for a diet😊❤️.Version: 10.3.1

Goat appLove it!.Version: 4.7.5

Great app, very satisfiedGreat app if you need to change your habits, just a bit of effort and you’ll get there!.Version: 8.9.8

Such a disappointing support team! The app has not restored my previous purchase - a year’s subscription. I have been trying to contact the support team many times but nobody got back to me! I feel like I have wasted my money!.Version: 6.8.2

I love this for the most part........I recently started using this app and so far I love it BUT! I don’t understand the point of the app asking for a unit when creating a food for the database, (such as ml, gram, etc) if it’s still not going to allow me to document my food by that unit. For example, I added a product to the database and wanted to document it in the diary by a ml measurement. Even though I selected ml as a standard unit it still gives me oz when it comes tine to journal how much of the product I ate. PLEASE give us more options for measuring the food please! I prefer to measure most things by gram since I believe it’s the most accurate. Or maybe I’m missing something? 🤷🏽‍♀️🥴.Version: 6.1.4

Great app!Always use it to count my calories..Version: 6.7.3

Madi - YAZIO feedback and questionsIt is really really good app, would recommend it but does the lost weight thing change automatically because when I last looked at the app it said I lost 3.2kg and now I says I lost 4.2kg...I haven’t weighed myself and I haven’t changed it ..so I don’t know if it changes automatically..someone help? 😊.Version: 5.9.3

Keeping me accountableI’ve tried numerous times to give up. However, those friendly little reminders just nudge me in the right direction to plod along. Some days I omit completely. Others I want to stick to my plan..Version: 6.5.2

YAZIOGreat way to keep carbs off, fat off. Best meal calories counter set a target because it’s there on all your devices makes it so easy to keep track during the day. Haven’t tried the recipes yet. A few more functions I haven’t used.Version: 4.7.7

Fantastic daily tracking tool for diet & exercise!Recording your food intake and exercise output keeps you honest! This app allows you to monitor heaps of statistics related to a healthy eating and exercise plan. It will suggest healthy reminders throughout the day- e.g. Drink more water! Well worth trying with an option to purchase an upgrade for even more info and support..Version: 4.7.7

Need a little moreI love the app so much so I use it everyday compare to other nutrition app on my phone. The only problem I have is creating a meal is hard for me. So I tried putting in okra soup but the only option I had was Nigerian okra soup. Am African yes but not Nigerian so the way my country okra soup is made is very different from Nigerian Okra soup. There was an option to creating your meal by adding things in but is so difficult to manage I had to settle for the option of Nigerian Okra soup which gave me more calories than I had actually consumed. Besides this great app I would recommend it 100 times more than any nutrition app on my phone. Great Job Team YAZIO.Version: 5.5.2

Great appI love this app, it makes tracking everything a lot easier and it helped me get over a lot of unhealthy eating habits like eating too few calories to loose weight, I realised that I don’t need to starve to loose weight that that’s actually harmful. Now i still eat at a deficit but I have energy throughout the day and can also start working out like I used to (gym therapy <3) My only critic would be I wish it was easier to input in meals I eat often (I have them saved).Version: 10.3.1

Great app so easy to useThis app is brilliant! It tracks my activity, helps to keep control of my eating habits and tracks my water intake amongst other things. There are other in app purchases but you don’t have to buy them. Overall a great app that does everything you need to stay healthy and keep control of your daily activity and weight..Version: 6.7.2

Almost thereI really like this app on the whole it’s very good . The one thing that lets it down is the fact that loads of the foods I search for are simply not there and end up adding it manually which is a pain My fitness pal for example has pretty much every food I put in . I would have thought after paying for the subscription you wouldn’t have to keep adding it manually. I know it’s updated and more foods are added regularly . That’s my only gripe on what’s otherwise a great app.Version: 7.2.2

Good appI like the free version. It does everything. Wish the pro version had a family program or plan where my wife and I could track our progress together and it would only be one price instead of paying separately..Version: 6.8.2

Lost 18 kg with this appFood tracking is absolutely essential when you want to lose weight. I used the free version only, daily for the first 6 weeks, afterwards only sporadically to check up on myself. The app teaches you to get a sense of how much energy you consume vs how much you actually need. Calory tracking does not have to be dogmatic, but if you stick with it for a little while, you’ll get a lot back. I eat vegan and really healthy, so I thought. Still, I was a bit overweight. I learnt about my intake, the importance of drinking water and macro balance and here I am: size 36 down from 42 in 12 months :).Version: 6.8.2

AWESOME but could be more night-shift friendlyI really love the format of this app, it's made it much less overwhelming to track calories and stay motivated. I especially love how after you track a meal, it tells you all the good things about what you just ate! That's very friendly to people who struggle with automatically vilifying anything that isn't a straight vegetable. The one thing that I really wish it would have is a way to adjust what your 24 hour "day" is. I work night shift, so my eating hours normally fall between 3pm-7am. This can get tricky when the app automatically starts you on a new day at midnight. I've tried to just log everything I eat on the day I wake up, but I wish it would cater more to people like me who don't work the average day. On that note, it would be nice if you could also adjust what days are your "weekend "days where you're all allotted more calories. I do not work a normal workweek schedule, and Im normally working on the weekend. I'd like to be able to select those extra calorie days on my actual days of. It's a GREAT app but the tiny little details for people like me could make it even better :).Version: 9.9.2

NiceI found the app as a recommendation on IOS 15 health. Thanks Apple! I am 64 and have seen drastic weight gain with complications lately. I first fasted in 1975 with great success but now metabolism is not what it used to be. I loose confidence as my body reacts differently. This app supports and encourages as the days go by. I am now able to lean into the hunger like it’s a wind in my face each day with confidence and use data points it supplies to encourage me. Say to myself; see there you can do this. I fly by the 12 hour fasting clock and frequently extend it with jubilation. Only beef ( yum beef) is it doesn’t remind me to start or stop fasting clock. You need to do this and you’ll thank these people for writing such a good app. And pay the $33 for subscription, you need some skin in the game..Version: 7.4.0

Best ever weight loss appI came across this app by accident. Wasn’t sure it would work based on food brands available in Australia. But it did. Even down to listing all the “Lite n Easy” meals I use. Coles products and Uncle Toby muesli were all mostly there. I cook a lot of my own meals over the week end and was pleasantly surprised to see the calories listed for the meal when I’d finished typing it in. This app just surprises ever day. I can highly recommend it as the best in class..Version: 4.8.2

Parfait mais.. Perfect but..J’adore cette App! Combined with training I lost 15 pounds in 7 weeks and now I'm stabilizing. The great disappointment is not being able to create other meal time. I eat less but several times a day so I need to share the information separately :( ❤️❤️❤️❤️🖤.Version: 10.1.0

Happy customer. This was the second app that I had tried, that I was paying for. Prior to this there was ‘no way’ I was willing to pay for something I should have been able to do by myself. However, the apps really helped me! I love that this one does the sums, and balances my input versus output. I have been able to scan Australian products, and have tried one or two recipes. I like that it doesn’t ‘nag’ me either 😂, and I can just go in and read stats and food breakdowns if I feel like it. It takes a few days to get used to it, then it is really useful. I’ve lost the weight I needed to, and am a happy customer . I have recommended it to a friend too..Version: 8.3.16

Healthy eatingDone many diets but nothing has worked for long. Once got used to logging food YAZIO has been easy to follow. Converted my daughter to it too. Love the recipes and the coach when I feel like a challenge. Would recommend..Version: 7.8.8

Love YazioI have used this app on and off for around 2-3 years, it’s so easy and educated you on where you may be going wrong.. yes Ive fallen off the wagon many times. But, each time I restart and look at alternatives, none of them inspire me enough or have what I want. i.e. Easy tracking and scanning. Just signed up again for a year and back on track. You won’t regret downloading and upgrading. Best app out there. Syncs to your scales. Your various health apps. Everything in one place.. Plus there is a Facebook group which is very supportive and informative. The app support team are also amazing and react quickly to any queries.. go for it. You won’t regret it 😀👍🏻.Version: 6.7.3

A little confused, but optimisticSo I'm a 16 y.o female and I'm just trying to lose a kilo or two and build a bit of muscle but... The average caloric intake for a teenage girl is about 2,200 (if I read the right sources) and the app is telling me that my ~1500 calorie diet is too high and I should eat less, I know some of my diet choices may be unhealthy but I just worry that other girls my age might have issues with their body and be eating far too little than is good for them. Other than that, I am so far enjoying the features for determining how much fat, protein etc... Is in my meals, it's helped me pick out healthier options it's also helped me maintain my water intake (which I need a LOT of assistance with).Version: 7.0.11

Love this app! This app is so great im using the free version and its helped me so much! i definitely recommend this app, ive been trying to loose weight and then i found this app and decided to try it and its been awesome.Version: 10.5.0

Life changerI started this app as a slim 17 year old kid getting ready to go to college. My goal has always been to play lacrosse at Syracuse and this app is helping me immensely. I set my goal to building muscle as I started as an athletic but still somewhat scrawny kid. I started at 135 and set my goal weight for 155 to start. With the help of this app, I have been able to get the proper amount of calories I need for my goal AND I get a step counter and calories burned counter. This app does all the math for me and I am no longer struggling with my calorie counting like I was before this app. In 2 weeks I have gained almost 6 pounds of almost 100% pure muscle. This app has made it easy to meet daily goals with reminders and helpful tools throughout the app. The recipe ideas are also helpful even if you don’t have the pro membership..Version: 5.9.4

Offline UseWish the app could be used offline and all information inputted offline would be uploaded later on when the phone connects to the internet again.Version: 9.3.0

I like it!Great app. Bar scanner doesn’t work on everything you scan & beware of some of the calorie counts, try and use the packaging too. Certainly gives motivation and is very user-friendly. Not sure that ‘pro’ gives you much more to be honest, but none the less got it at a reduced price for the year. Nice and vibrant and works well with the health app/Apple Watch when adding exercise calories burned..Version: 6.7.3

Does the jobI’ve been using this app for just under a year and really enjoy it. The food tracking is good and I love the breakdown of what I’m eating each day. I recently strayed away from YAZIO because I found the UI and design less appealing than other tracking apps such as Lifesum... when I’m paying for a subscription and using something throughout the day, it would be nice if it looked better. The emoji style imagery on a grey square for each meal is boring. It’s just a shame when functionally the app is great, but visibly could be better..Version: 7.1.6

I don’t understandIt is me I just don’t understand nutrition.Version: 10.5.1

It’s good butIt works really good for me. Only problem is I can only type calories and PFC pre 100g. If you not sure calories and PFC /100g you have to calculate all numbers yourself and type into this app which is very annoying..Version: 8.1.2

Works great with my new Apple WatchI was very pleased to find this premium version of the YAZIO app at a great price! Only $20 a year! I found out after years on weight watchers and trying Noom $20 a month! Thankfully, that there’s this better and more affordable diet diary type app. I was particularly interested in fasting support apps and being able to speak into the Apple Watch to track my meals on the go. It synchronizes exercise and calories perfectly. Really enjoying YAZIO at this point in time, I have been able to lose the 5lbs I gained through Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hope to be at my goal weight before my birthday in June. I’ll update.Version: 7.1.6

Great APP - Only issue is widgets in lock screen don’t refreshI really enjoy this all and the UI is unprecedented compared to other calorie trackers. One issue that consistently occurs at the moment is that my lock screen widget does no refresh in real time. After I update the information in the app I need to restart the phone for the update to be reflected in the widget. I do not know if this is a fault with the app or iOS but I hope it gets resolved soon..Version: 8.3.10

YAZIO AppThis app is great for capturing food intake, easy to use and to store your own recipes. Easy to add to diary and show clearly how many calories you have eaten. Links to health Apps and draws in exercise data and updates how many calorie burned and eaten. This works well as a weight loss tool if you don’t cheat yourself!.Version: 8.4.5

Dude I love thisWhile I am using the pro version, the free version still offers so much more than apps like MFP or Calory. What drew me to the app initially was that the app was still OPERABLE without the pro version; you get to scan barcodes, track basic weight and macronutrients, and there's even a section for recipes and a diary which is sick. I made the purchase because I like knowing everything regarding my intake. What I especially enjoy about this is that it syncs to your health app and watch. Most of the stuff you can log within the health app—minerals, bp/blood glucose, etc.—is already available in Yazio Pro, so I don't have to constantly flit between the two as much. (And for whatever this is worth, it doesn't force you into a weight margin you know? Like, it doesn't restrict your goals as other apps do upon registration.) All in all, it's a great app to at least try out. Even the pro version isn't unreasonably expensive, especially with some of the deals they offer every now and then. I hope these features remain available to free users—mainly that barcode feature..Version: 9.9.2

Good but i have a suggestionI love the app but it would be very helpful if it had the ability to tell my apple health app how much water i had logged. It does it for my food intake like calories, protein, etc, but if it also did it for water it would be so so so helpful..Version: 9.8.2

Food Database Needs A Lot of Work AheadThis is a great app and honestly it would deserve a 5 star rating. I really enjoy it, I’m eating healthier and seeing results just after a week of using it, BUT that’s because I realized of the tons of mistakes other users have made when entering nutrition facts into the database, and I’ve spent quite a deal of time entering my own data. The app allows you to create food items entering any name for any kind of food with almost any nutrition facts and share that data publicly. It seems no one is checking all this data, resulting on a public database with lots of duplicated items, different nutrition facts for the same item, and misleading info. The developer must create an efficient way for users to report wrong information and remove those items from the database. Bottom line, a really good app if you’re using your own data..Version: 6.1.0

Really worth the effortHave been using programme for two weeks and have found that I am less likely to snack - especially after dinner. My only problem hence the drop of one star is that there is no common way things are written and therefore some food items appear multiple times. There is a disconnect due to what an item is called eg chips vs fries vs crisps. To smarten this up, chips as in fish and chips could be: potato chips deep fried. If it is a commercial product it could be potato chips xxbrand oven fries. There needs to be a way of having a barcode listing so that I can scan a product I have and it will say it is in the system. Small points but over all really worth the effort! Great app..Version: 4.8.3

This is the one, use Yazio.I really like YAZIO, personally I’ve tried various apps like my fitness pal, Samsung Health, and finally landed on YAZIO, which has been my favourite by far. The simple yet powerful interface allows for a generous ease into the world of calorie tracking, there are tons of accurate foods already on the app which you can easy list with perfect accuracy. If you’re considering an app to track calories this is the one stop shop for you, especially considering the integrations with the Apple Watch and FitBit. There’s plenty of functionality in the free version and has a much more reasonable learning curve than alternative apps, although I later caved into the pro mode for those added features at a reasonable price. My one criticism would be the lack of an offline mode, this app can only be used with a wifi connection, I think allowing users to see their progress while on the go would be very useful even just to check up on their calories burned and consumed, otherwise this app is near perfection, Thanks YAZIO!.Version: 7.2.2

Just an ideaHey! I think it would be a good idea to include a feature where the “plan” is catered differently for women when they are on their period. Backed up by research or whatever it may be. I know i get really hungry on my period or my body is asking for more food, and obviously my calorie intake for the day doesn’t consider that. Thanks!!!.Version: 9.9.1

Little improvement motivationThis app is great. I think it would be even better if it gives you a rough idea on how much weight you will lose in a set amount of weeks judging by the days food intake. I know everyone loses weight differently but it’s the motivation side of things.Version: 5.10.0

Highly recommendedThis app is a great way to track calories if your serious about weight loss and bodybuilding, easy to understand the contents and relates to the types of food we have in my country.Version: 6.4.6

Great app, needs support for familiesLove this app and use it every day to log food. I would love to see support for more sharing between ‘buddies’ - allowing families to share their meals easily. Since 7.9.x, it has been glitchy and rarely succeeds in finding a food by search (name or barcode).Version: 7.9.1

Good, but recent UI update is a step backLove the functionality, tracking, and reporting, but the recent UI update requires more clicks than before to navigate into and out of meals to add items, and when you’re in a meal making additions you can’t see your daily totals. Given I often use the tool to plan my next meal ahead of time, not being able to see my daily overview while in a meal is a challenge. Also, the scrolling units entry feature is frustrating. If the default is 1 ounce, but I want to enter 7 grams, I scroll the number 1 to a 7, then the Ounces unit to Grams. When I change the units, the number scrolls back and resets at 1, forcing me to have to scroll the number back to 7 again. Hopefully they’ll address these issues and make the tool easier to navigate and make it easier to make entries. Overall, still useful and robust..Version: 6.4.0

Mostly good, a few annoying features1: There NEEDS to be an option to edit the meals that you have created, having to redo it every time is annoying. 2: The search feature should be able to recognise the items that I usually select. For example if I say “low fat cheese” and I always choose the 5th one down, it should be moved to 1st position..Version: 5.9.1

So Far So Good!I’m only a couple days into using YAZIO— but that’s a couple days more than I’ve ever used any other fitness app. I really like how easy it is to track meals and the bar on top makes it very convenient to see when you are at your daily max for calories. I also really like that there are a couple integrative options for tracking your daily fitness efforts. Connecting the IPhone step counter was very easy and I like that the exercise is factored into the daily calories remaining bar. The recommended recipes feature is a nice addition as well, but most require a membership to access. (Many don’t look complicated however and I think just by looking at the photo you can kind of guess how to cook it for yourself.) My only objection is that the app is advertised as an app for dietary/health management with a specialization in fasting. However, when you get the app, you will see that you must buy a membership in order to unlock the fasting options. Otherwise, the free functions are still very helpful and I have to see what happens! I’ll update if I manage to lose any weight :).Version: 5.8.1

New from MyFitnessPalI’m trying this after being a MyFitnessPal user for a long time. The things I really like about this are (1) it makes really good use of its Apple Watch app, way more than MyFitnessPal, and (2) it’s a much cleaner look. With MyFitnessPal I always hated how the initial screen was basically an ad for their other products, despite having paid for the full subscription. The downside of YAZIO is that the database doesn’t seem as full, although so far it has been pretty good. The bigger frustration I’ve run into is that when I tried to add foods that weren’t in the database I got an error saying that my calories didn’t match what the macronutrients were, despite the fact that they were definitely what the label said. At $22 per year so far it’s definitely been worth trying out. They also have a lot of different diet options with food recommendations, which I’ll be checking out after the holidays..Version: 6.3.1

Close to perfect! A few small issues though…This app is great and it is an excellent multi-tracking tool for overall wellness. I love that it syncs to my watch. I was so impressed with the quality of it that I only had it a day before choosing to upgrade to the membership. However, with that being said, there are a few small issues. I tried to find a way to reach out to the dev team or request to beta test in order to address or troubleshoot these issues, but couldn’t find that. My first issue is that the watch app of YAZIO always presents an error when trying to sign up or sign in, specifically through Apple ID, which is what I’m signed up with on my phone app. It still connects to my Health data, but I want to access the app on my wrist too. The second issue is part of why I opted into a membership, so it’s disappointing it isn’t working- the Health/Food Coach option to create my own meal plan always presents a 404 error no matter what options are chosen. The last issue might not be a YAZIO issue (possibly a Siri issue), but the Siri shortcuts don’t seem to do anything. Overall, I’m still happy with my purchase bc it’s super easy to monitor so many aspects of my food intake, water, and activity while being easy-to-understand..Version: 7.8.9

Very Useful And Handy! This app has been really helpful in terms of tracking my daily food intake and helped quite brilliantly for gaining weight. The food database is really impressive since I found very traditional meals with accurate kcals in them. Recommend to everyone!.Version: 8.3.2

Great appVery good app that manages to cram a lot of health features into one app. I rarely do in app purchase but couldn’t resist this one. My only complaint is the watch app feels clunky and doesn’t use apples new design language. The watch app doesn’t support widgets and the changes made to water intake do not update on the watch (on the iPhone I switched to a bottle measurement but this doesn’t show on the watch)..Version: 9.9.2

BugLe podomètre ne fonctionne pas.Version: 8.14.3
