Qobuz: Music & Editorial for Positive User Reviews

Wanting to commit to the switchI absolutely love the set up of Qobuz app. I love that it tells you what you’re streaming quality is instead of just saying “Hi fi”. Interface is sleek and easy. My only complaint is that I am a metal fan and it only has 1 Infected Rain album, & missing a few other favorite groups such as Tetrarch. Even my pop mix I’ve had for a few years is missing 3 or 4 songs which makes me sad. So not sure if I want to be without these few favorites. Other wise I highly recommend Qobuz for music lovers. It really sounds amazing and sits right next to Tidal (but at a lower cost).Version: 5.16.0

Works brilliantly (with Linn) but….Why does it have to list artists by the Christian name or by ‘T’ if the band is prefixed with ‘The’. So, The Beatles, Pretenders, Boo Radleys, Carpenters etc all sit next to each other in your list, and eg Frank Zappa will be found under the letter, ‘F’, rather than, ‘Z.’ If there’s a way that can be corrected in my listings can a developer pls contact me to advise. Other than that, I agree with all the other positive feedback; it’s great and also good to listen to on the move eg at gym, via car system etc especially if downloaded first..Version: 7.5.1

Music Streaming’s Best Kept SecretThis really is music streaming’s best kept secret and gets closer (more than any other service) to that elusive “experience” of physical recordings that can convey a sense of quality and presence; something that has been relentlessly trivialised in the age of streaming and playlists. There is no compromise made on sound quality. Qubuz has the biggest library of Hi-Res recordings in the industry. I love this app. My favourite things are the way in which the background subtly incorporates the colour scheme of the album. The way you can swipe left to see track listings and right to see your listening history (complete with beautiful icons and type font). Such a simple yet beautiful interface. The album meta-data is superb, especially for classical. The type fronts are beautiful. The fine-grained control you have over importing albums for off-line listening. The ability to navigate quickly to album credits and to organise music by record label. The ability to organise your libraries as a grid display and alphabetically. In summary, the iOS app is superb, both in terms of its ease of use and beauty. It remains a sitting target for acquisition for the intellectual property of its design alone. It really is head and shoulders above the rest..Version: 5.16.0

AmazingI do not write reviews for apps but I had to for this app and the company. Besides the outstanding quality and choice I don’t think I have had a music app in which the auto play feature gave such amazing related songs, most all for music I did not know about. It really has expanded my listening bubble tremendously is the week or so I’ve had it now. Thank you to all of the awesome people that have worked and continue to work to bring this to us..Version: 6.5.1

Missing MusicI get that different countries have different music available, but that should be advertised somehow I think. Qobuz recently came to my country and I decided to give them a shot, but before I did checked their website to ensure they had my favourite album (on their website it is listed as stream this album and many more). Once I signed up I searched for the album, and nothing. Sent in a support request to add the album(Farm-Dinosaur Jr.), will update review if it is ever actually added..Version: 7.5.2

Very goodGreat app! Stable and intuitive to use..Version: 3.0.3

Kudos to QobuzSo happy with Qobuz as my new streaming service. The best sound quality to my ears, cleaner than tidal for many tracks I compared between them. The catalogue for classical and jazz is superb, and the meta data and listings for classical works is much better than the rest. The apps have improved greatly since I first took a look, and now stand near the top tier. The searching now surpasses tidal as well, especially within one’s own collection. I hope they continue to actively develop the CarPlay app. Merci!.Version: 5.5.0

A few flaws, but still a great serviceI’m a ‘sublime’ subscriber and use the Qobuz service on Linn hardware at home. I am very happy with the service, and the app allows me to take the same services on the road. There are a few flaws in syncing Music offline but it is being constantly improved..Version: 4.0.15

Qobuz is uniqueQobuz provides fairly comprehensive coverage of all music genre and is probably the best for classical and jazz although most of my off line downloads are indie, country and western and popular music. I was a Tidal flac subscriber but on extensive tests found Quobuz had the edge on sound quality. The big plus with Qobuz is Hi Res and no other music streaming service offers this with the ability to buy Hi Res music at considerably reduced prices, if you are a Sublime or Sublime plus subscriber. You can download the Hi Res files to your PC or other devices and own them for use anywhere. Most of my listening is via iphone, dragonfly red and ie 800s. I also use the Onkyo Hi Res player and load the Hi Res albums on this to play them without risk of connection loss. I agree with other reviews that the Qobuz App needs improvement - it is unpredictable particularly when downloading for off line use and you find its stopped half way. Also the feature of adding albums that you just want to sample to your off line files is a pain. Despite this, superb sound quality and Hi Res makes Qobuz unique. Qobuz - please improve the App and get 5 stars!.Version: 4.0.14

Seems good so farThe interface is a little slow and there’s some obscure, obscure tracks/artists which I can’t find but are forgivable. I think the two things that I’d like to see answered from Qobuz are; 1) What are the up to date royalty per stream figures (can only find 2018 figures online)? 2) How easy is it for independent artists looking to put their music onto Qobuz’s database? If the figures from 2018 are still relevant then I can recommend this highly enough; there is an option to change audio quality which helps streaming and there seems a good collection..Version: 6.5.1

What a discovery! As a longtime (old) audio hobbyist, I didn’t think of my Apple 6S as high end gear, but the trial hi-rez Qobuz subscription just blew my socks off with really good sound. Whether using apple earbuds or my Etymotics, or even using the iphone as a streaming dac into my preamp, the quality of sound and the enormous music catalog has profoundly changed my listening experience. I’m now seriously considering leaving behind physical media (of which I have many, many full shelves), scoring a higher-end streamer/dac and moving my listening chair to a nice, comfy spot in cyberspace. Jeff.Version: 5.4.0

By far the best music streaming appAccess to high resolution audio that just makes the competition look silly (and sound awful). This app is akin to the local record shop. The music featured is curated by people who truly love music; this is a music lover’s music app. On rare occasion, something is missing, but it is rare. Qobuz excels with great features on artists (often with hyperlinks to influences and peers). Qobuz even has a dedicated corner to audiophile equipment for those interested. Fortunately for Qobuz, the competition obviously doesn’t care as much about the consumer experience..Version: 5.20.0

The bestThe best sounding streaming music service so far. Line out through an iPhone usb into a car stereo and you can’t miss the quality. But using a decent streamer (linn or something similar quality) and the quality screams out. Advise you try trial 1st to see if your system is up to this..Version: 5.1.2

ErrorI wish that the message saying that “an error has occurred, please try again later” wouldn’t show up every time that I try to delete my account and I could just delete my accounts without any errors happening. I also wish that the email saying to confirm your account deletion would immediately show up in your inbox without having to wait at all when you click the button to forever delete your account. Also it would be easier and less time consuming to delete your account if you could just delete it without having to get a confirmation email to do so. I do love this app a lot though..Version: 7.6.1

Fantastic Quality. Just a few minor annoyances in appI love Qobuz for the extremely high quality music. It sounds amazing especially on my Sonos system. A couple of annoying things on the app like when I press the offline library button it’s slow to respond and the other thing it’s when I go in to my playlists they can be slow to show the songs, once the songs have shown up it’s good but then the next play list is the same, to be fair it’s more of a minor annoyance than a problem but when I have the fast iPhone 14 pro max nothing should be sluggish. The final issue is not a bad one but another annoying thing where when on a play list and I want to scroll to the bottom, it will only let you go so far down the playlist and you have to press see next tracks which is a pain when you have over 1000 songs in the list. All the other music apps allow you to drag all the way to the bottom in seconds. Like I said just minor annoyances. I would still highly recommend Qobuz to anyone wanting the best sounding music..Version: 6.11.0

Problems initially but now loving it.Having nothing but problems with app. Music shutting off in the middle of play back and signed up for sublime subscription but can only play back at cd quality despite using external fiio q5 dac/amp and iPhone XS Max with lastest iOS. Great idea if they can get things working. No phone number for support and still no email response for support after 24hrs so far. Update on this. Finally got email back and not very helpful indicating that since bought subscription from App Store need to talk to them. No help there directed me back. Eventually figured out App Store subscription for 25$ is only hifi or cd quality streaming while 25$ sublime from Qobuz on their website allows you to stream all music at highest resolution through app. Not sure why that is. Now working as advertised and I’m loving it so I’m upping my star rating..Version: 5.2.2

Great experience listening to high quality musicI can’t put my finger on any one thing that makes this great. But for some reason I keep opening this rather than my other music apps. I like how it focuses on albums because I appreciate how artists arrange songs ins an album. It does a great job curating music that I like. The interface is friendly and not muddied up with features I don’t care about..Version: 6.7.1

So close to perfect but needs polishGreat quality, promotes more obscure artists all over the spectrum. Great playlists. In my time on this app I’ve discovered so much music. Good integration with devices. It has reviews of albums and really try to provide content for music lovers of all genres. But, it has Slow load and buffer times if you don’t have a perfect WiFi connection. Whenever you “heart” something, it has to take entire seconds just for that action. I see that loading symbol so much just trying to do basic tasks. A lot of the time it has difficulty loading artists profiles. Even when using cd quality with 4g data. where as I don’t have this either problems with tidal HIFI or deezer HIFI when I’m out and about. In my opinion, the app feels a bit clunky. The UI design just looks like a base model iOS app. Where I wish it felt more professional or at least some “personality”. I really want to make it my main service. But those issues just sorta turn me towards tidal. (Also if you added a student discount that would help more people switch.).Version: 5.16.0

Top of the game for Sound and WritingThe audio quality on Qobuz is exceptional and surpasses all the top music apps out there! Their weekly newsletter offers valuable information, highlighting not only the latest tunes but also a diverse range of music, all while providing an educational experience. I sincerely hope they don't plan to sell or receive an offer they can't refuse, as larger companies have a tendency to ruin fantastic music apps like Qobuz. Stay tough and stay independent, Qobuz, for the love of music!.Version: 7.2.0

Is better but there is still room for improvementPlaylists still not available offline. To access the playlists you need internet connection even if your albums are saved for offline use. Booklets don’t work on many albums recently (always referring to when the booklet button is available)..Version: 4.0.16

Very good value for money!I use this site all the time now and the sound quality is excellent, played through my hifi. The size of the library is satisfying too. The only quibble I have is that when playing an artist’s back catalogue only the 20-30 most popular tracks are given, whereas I would want to hear more. But overall I am very satisfied with this service..Version: 6.6.0

Money well spentI moved over from the costly and overhyped Tidal about 3 months ago that was plugging stuff I never listen to,algorithms should pick up on that. Qobuz is like a breath of fresh air to me. I bought the year package to reduce the cost even further and the sound quality is absolutely superb. Standard Red Book generally sounds great as it is and HiRes is an added bonus. I’d 100% recommend this music supplier..Version: 5.9.0

Great music content and super recordings.Certainly rank it as the #1 streaming service in sound quality..Version: 6.8.2

Fantastic Music Quality But The Organization Needs WorkFor a digital music platform the sound quality is the best I know of. The quality is readily discernible and adds massively to the experience. My biggest wish list item is to have more intuitive playlists and much better genre availability. 10 genres for all current music just isn’t enough. Contributing a fair amount to the artists is massive too. Kudos..Version: 7.5.1

Sounds better than tidalI have done a few comparisons on my headphones and on my iPhone speakers, and I could tell you that it does sound better than streaming from TIDAL. The interface is not as good as other services but the sound quality is noticeably better. It’s so much better that I need to change, or turn off my EQ settings that I normally have with other programs. This service is even better if you have really good audio equipment, as you really will hear the difference. It’s like upgrading your DAC to a $5000 piece of equipment.Version: 5.3.4

Music at its bestOkay, I’m taking advantage of a three month free HiFi trial but my iPhone (plus my Audiolab MDAC Mini) feels like the pinnacle of on the go HiFi listening. Some won’t like the 30 seconds track limit but buy the tracks and you can listen to them in full offline. Why listen to inferior sound quality?.Version: 4.0.16

Really buggyThe music is good but the app is terrible which by default means Qobuz is very poor. The playlists are a nightmare. Half my playlists were downloaded to make available offline ( for on a flight ). I created some more after the most recent app update and despite saying they are imported they aren’t. No way to fix it. A name change on my Qobuz isn’t continued through to downloaded content. A deleted playlist isn’t continued through neither. Spent hours trying to resolve and research. A real shame. While I’m at it, the search function is awful I mean awful. Just as an update to this. I bought a new iPhone 13 mini for work and transferred quobuz from the old iPhone 6s. On this new 13mini it transferred an old version of Qobuz which still has the ‘offline’ library rather than the ‘import’ library that the new version of Qobuz forces on you. The old offline version is great, the newer ‘import’ version is soooo bad. Tried deleting the new version and reinstalling but no joy. It’s almost unusable in the ‘import’ use. Can you please fix it. You promised you would but still waiting..Version: 7.1.1

BuggyBuggy, and updates never fix things. (Running current version of iOS on a current device.) If you do anything else on your device while listening, the app flips out: stops streaming the track, shuffles songs, displays a red error message, and/or crashes altogether. Search never improves, it's always been slow, with many dead ends. But sound is superb, and no one beats them at audio quality, so - I'll stick with it..Version: 6.4.1

Almost perfectStill a 5 star, but I would like to be able to control what is playing on the same account but in different system, when I play music from my PC, I would like to be able to control it from my phone as well, or be able to choose to control it..Version: 6.7.2

Awesome sound! It’s a huge breath of fresh air after listening to Apple Music’s low quality codec and Spotify’s crushed tracks for so long. I nearly forgot that music is supposed to sound good. I got so frustrated that Apple makes it impossible to actually listen to the lossless format without buying a bunch of external workarounds, but luckily that frustration led me here. Sound is awesome and app is inviting enough to work with. I hope they get more classical/traditional music from around the world and have it indexed properly by people who are familiar with artists/rep/titles within the respective traditions—or better yet curated playlists the same way they have it for indie, jazz, etc. There seems to be some opportunity for growth there, but I’m relatively new to the app so some of the issue just may be my fluidity within it, though there isn’t almost any of the quintessential recordings of the 20th century masters of shakuhachi honkyoku, a very developed flute tradition in Japan with centuries of refinement, for example..Version: 7.3.4

Qobuz the best streaming appI have been a audio fan for many years in fact for 40+ years. Vinyl was the only medium then. So I spent far to much money on speakers amplifiers and phono cartridges. Then in 1982 music cd,s become available and us Hi-Fi enthusiasts got very excited indeed. No more pops and clicks when listening to our music, the sound was higher quality and to cap it all the storage required was a fraction of Vinyl. So when I started to read articles about streaming being offered by companies I was excited but sceptical to say the least. How could it ever sound as good as a CD but after a lot of research I purchased a Cambridge Azur 851N streamer and subscribed to Tidal. My thinking being if Tidal (who uses MQA) was the most expensive it must be the best. However MQA is not lossless and on some albums that were published as Hi Res clearly were not and lacked a truly realistic sound. Being an Audio file I fiddled, changed cables, changed setting on my amp and streamer, moved the position of the speakers. So my thinking was perhaps what I had read was just snake oil. So I changed my streaming provider to Qobuz and an immediate difference was apparent. The sound quality that had been missing was back again and millions of songs and albums available to listen to. I am now building my playlists and back enjoying music again. For anyone reading this is also sceptical I recommend you give it a try by using there free introduction offer..Version: 7.5.2

Fantastic appI bought Qobuz to stream from Roon, and it worked great already for that, but I thought to try it for mobile as well and I’m glad I did! First, the sound quality is fantastic, which is expected for this service and the hi-res streaming price. I keep an iPhone SE with standard headphone jack because of its size and that its internal DAC is far superior, and Qobuz reveals it well. Night and day even with VE Monk earbuds. Second, and the part that surprises me—Qobuz is just a better music app period, regardless of sound quality. The features, organization, discovery, library, and small details like instant stream quality switching, artist/album reviews and bios, full credits, and related content are just really well done. One thing I particularly love is the left/right swipe while in player view to get to history (left) and queue (right). Makes total sense and is just intuitive and convenient, I wish all music apps worked that way. Best of all worlds. Great experience..Version: 5.12.0

Excellent hifi - new app is much betterGood catalog, easy to find what you are looking for even if it is rare or unusual And fast even in HIFI mode After years of mp3 quality my ears were surprised to listen to cd quality once again:).Version: 4.0.0

I want to like itEdit. Recent update now shows release year and divides between albums and eps/singles in iOS app. Added a star for major improvement- thanks to developers! Looking to move from Tidal as I don’t need the nastiest commercial hip hop pushed on me against my will and I want to see actual bit rate information more clearly. Qobuz wins on these points, plus the playlists and suggested tracks curation suits me very well. But there are some real annoyances with the interface. First and foremost, it’s slow, sometimes really slow, not just to load songs (which I would accept as they can be big files) but things like loading favorites, or loading the list of an artists albums. The wheel spins and spins, then there are glitches and time out errors. I don’t think this is on my end. My internet connection is reasonably good and besides, if I switch to Tidal there are no delays. Tidal loads playlists instantly, no spinning wheels ever over several months of use. Secondly, discographies do not show album year on iphone and iPad apps. So you have to click the album and then delve into the credits. Annoying. Also, discographies do not distinguish between albums and singles, so you have to open them to see what it is. I want to like Qobuz. The focus on sound quality, tasteful curation and repertoire make it seem like a more serious audio service. But I wish these issues would be fixed. I’ve sent in feedback already and will see how it goes over the course of my trial month...Version: 6.6.0

Qobuz just sounds betterI was a bit Tidal and MQA fan before Qobuz came to Canada. Blown away by how much more authentic the hi res sounds..Version: 7.3.1

The Digital Vinyl ExperienceI love Qobuz, it offers the closest thing to the original vinyl LP experience by offering detailed track credits , liner notes and reviews. All with lots of Hi Res level. The other that’s great is that they are the only service which makes it clear what res the album is being played at. Would love to see more album booklets included. Thanks Qobuz.Version: 6.4.1

5 star service, 3 star applicationI absolutely adore Qobuz. I have tried every single hifi music streaming competitor, and Qobuz is leaps and bounds ahead, for two reasons: transparency and range. No snake oil MQA here, it is very clear what music is available in what quality. Of course, as it is a higher quality music streaming service, it does not have the sheer discography of non-hifi streaming services, nor do I expect it to. Now, the application. Its okay. Nothing special, it works fine, except for one fatal flaw. Downloads. If I want to download all the tracks in my library, I have to click them one, by one, by one, hitting the three dots then hitting download then selecting quality. A “download all tracks” feature would instantly jump this app to 4 and a half stars. For 5 stars, I would like to see a better shuffle system. The issue right now is that when you press shuffle tracks after playing something from your liked tracks, it only shuffles what you have added recently. I suspect this is because older tracks are not loaded in. By contrast, shuffling downloaded tracks seems to shuffle everything you have downloaded (hence the need for a download all liked tracks option). To rehash, this is a stellar service, with an almost as good app that is being brought low by a few glaring flaws. Regardless, I recommend it to anyone who has the equipment to enjoy high fidelity music..Version: 6.6.0

Excellent sound quality.Find it the best from the rest in sound quality. Love album artwork. Please bring it to Canada..Version: 5.3.2 (Hotfix)

Best for serious music lovers but .....Great sound and curation. Interface is elegant and detailed. Speed is not always fast when selecting new tracks or albums to play. Would really like an in-built equalizer and balance to adjust for my ageing ears. I have subscribed for two years now and my CD player has become defunct..Version: 5.20.0

Frustrating for classical music, but almost thereUnlike the desktop app, the iOS app does not show work and movement. Instead, on many works it will just list movements without an indication of the work they belong to!! Liner notes are a saving grace on some, but not all recordings. Get the work/movement sorted and this is an app and service on the verge of greatness..Version: 5.3.2

Sound quality, finally. The interface on both mobile and desktop has some kinks to work out but none of thrm actually detract from the service. I subscribed for completely lossless sound quality (coming from TIDAL, which I discovered to be a scam re: MQA). This service has provided me exactly what Inwas looking for. My only actual grievance here is that the music selection is somewhat limited—very underground or niche artists may not be available. But that will be remedied as the service grows. 5 stars for sound quality alone and the ability to actually buy albums for permanent storage on laptop and mobile..Version: 5.20.0

The best streaming service, periodGreat easy to use app no matter what kind of music you like..Version: 3.1.2

Hi Res sounds fantasticThe hi res tracks have varying degrees of fantastic. They’re not all the same. But they do sound great! Same for the CD quality tracks. Some better than others. But all pretty good. Some even better than hi res! But the Qobuz app is clunky. Hard to get used to. Hard to become proficient. Still can’t edit my play lists with authority. Still feel like a novice. Qobuz organization classical music superb. Way better on classical than other streaming services! Notoriously hard to manage - composer, artist, orchestra, conductor, song title, etc - Qobuz does the best with classical music!.Version: 7.3.4

Excessive French? The basic functionality of this service is quite good, with a choice of streaming /download quality. As with most streaming services the search facility for Classical Music is very poor, with little ability to search for composer/work/artist. Instead you trawl through all the works by a particular composer. If you queue a number of works to download to iPhone it sometimes stalls and you have to delete and redownload the works. It doesn’t seem to like a large queue of downloads effectively. One of the irritating characteristics is the excessive use of French (I suppose it’s a battle with the Academie Francaise) - for example a CD that was published with English front cover and description, gets translated into French which is pointless and irritating. Most of the error messages occur in French, and while my French is perfectly acceptable at this level, if they really believe that this is an international product then it needs to get rid of this excessive French, and give the user the option to select a language. Show French CDs in French by all means, but don’t employ lots of translators to turn English releases into French. Better still just run in English only. For the classical enthusiast probably the best of a bad bunch..Version: 5.1.2

Perfect audio qualityReally love the unadulterated sound. A joy to the ears!.Version: 7.5.0

Simply The Best!No nonsense app that allows you to always feel in control. No fussy interface and always keeps the music to the heart of the matter. Superb sound and a Service that allows you to explore music for your own way, not by pushing artists you are totally not interested in..Version: 5.3.4

Superb streaming service.Finally..Version: 6.7.1

Running me in circlesI downloaded the app and subscribed to the free trial, which required automatically enrolling after trial period. The app is running me in circles, will only play sample tracks in MP3 format. When I follow link to upgrade it tells me I am already subscribed and logged in. Emailed support and have not heard back so will hope to have access and will repost my review at that time. You would think the developer would have made sure the download, trial offer and subscription enrollment would work seamlessly but based on my experience it was somehow missed!.Version: 5.3.4

Really AmazingI’ve been listening to Pandora for years, and got tired of it playing the same tunes over and over even though I tried to go deep with the content. I am now in a position to afford streaming services, and signing up for Qobuz has changed my listening enjoyment for the better. The fact that I can find almost anything I might like to listen to at any given time is just amazing. The sound quality seems to be superior to anything I’ve listened to before. If you’re on the fence, and I don’t know why you would be, just try it, and you’ll get hooked..Version: 6.6.0

QuintessentialIf you are an audiophile Qobuz should be one of you go to apps. Fits nicely with Roon If you don’t even know what an audiophile is your in the right place, in good hands. If you just love music, all kinds of music than you need Qobuz, you want Qobuz ! Did you give all you cherished albums away? CD’s are in boxes and you sold or gave away your CD player? Don’t worry Qobuz has your back. Listen to all your favorite songs, reminisce your past music journey with ease. Now that your back in the groove, Qobuz helps you discover new current music that fits your style and tastes. Try it. You’ll discover your music all over again and then your on the road to music enjoyment like it was always meant to be. Try it. You’ve got nothing to loose and everything to gain..Version: 6.8.2

Best AppThis app is probably the best I’ve ever had. I spend hours on it every day just adding more and more songs. Nothing could be better. No ads. Unlimited skips! What’s not to like? Just one small little thing. They don’t always have the main song of what your looking for. For instance, I was looking for Zankyou Sanka and they didn’t have the main version; only more different ones that were made by viewers. This doesn’t bother me too much and not enough for me to quit using this app but if they could fix these small things I bet they would have to add a whole sixth star just for this app. All in all this app is amazing and I really think you should think about getting it..Version: 7.2.0

First day on Qobuz .....Qobuz knocks it out park for sound quality wow , will probably move from Tidal but needs more work on it’s interface not as good tidal , took a lot longer to work out . Mick from Australia.....Version: 5.19.0

Awesome Quality PlaybackPlaying back music from Qobuz is second to none, the quality is noticeably better than most others. Notwithstanding, I have got a few criticisms: 1. Why would Qobuz have an artist on but with only some of their work? For example, Tank and the Bangas are on but their best work, “Tink Tank” is not there. So too is Jens Kuross “We Will Run”. 2. Searching is too cumbersome, one has to go back, back, back ..... to get back to the search page. And, searching titles is almost nonexistent. 3. Most time people add artists and titles in a particular genre to their library because most other people are listening to it. Qobuz could indicate the artists, songs that are trending. And, within the artists’ publication, their best work according to Billboard, download statistics, or something. 4. Music lyrics should be included. And, where Qobuz do not have the lyrics, subscribers should be able to add the lyrics. With these adjustments; in my humble opinion, Qobuz could quickly become the BEST..Version: 5.7.0

Good catalog, poor recommendationsGreat catalog of cd quality or better, however you have to manually create playlists because there’s apparently no rhyme or reason to what it suggests if you just wanted to listen to a selection of music that's likely to match your tastes. Nothing more painful than settling in with all your quality gear plugged in and nothing to listen to. I wind up signing up to Deezer just to get new stuff. Painful, because I cant switch my family to qobuz (poor recommendation engine), and deezer doesn't offer hifi streaming on family plan..Version: 5.18.0

Love It!The app is a bit buggy hence the 4 stars but the sound quality is outstanding. It is although exactly what I would expect out of hi-res audio. The library/catalogue may not be as extensive as the competition is, but I would definitely stick with Qobuz for my hi-res audio listening and considering the library keeps growing. Keep it up you guys..Version: 5.20.0

Je découvre sans cesses de nouveaux artistes en tous genres. Et la qualité technique est inégaléeBravo et continuez . Rendez qobuz dispo au Canada svp.Version: 4.0.19

Almost perfectI subscribed because reviews said it was the best streaming service for classical music. It has lived up to the reviews. My only issue is that my account seems to be registered in France even though I chose United States English as my interface language when I subscribed online in the United States. There are still a number of albums with descriptions only in French, and the Magazine in the app is in French (my emailed magazine is in English). If I could change these to American English, I would give Qobuz a 5..Version: 7.6.0

Can’t fault the sound quality, but…Since moving to Qobuz from Tidal I’ve been very satisfied with the sound quality (I switched as I was not a fan of MQA). The library is pretty decent for a specialised hifi streaming service, too. The only ‘but’ is the app and interface. It’s quite slow when loading pages and can be buggy at times. In this regard Tidal is definitely still ahead by a significant margin. For now I’m sticking to Qobuz for the great sound quality, but hopefully the app will improve with time!.Version: 6.4.2

Mostly goodComing from Tidal, I found the Qobuz catalogue equal in variety with the added benefit of more high resolution choices. The app isn’t quite as good as Tidal and is noticeably slower when searching and playing selections. Dropouts occur with Qobuz about once an hour so far and no indication is provided. No spinning wheel, no notification, and sometimes the song still looks like is is playing but without sound. It has corrected itself after about 20 seconds every time but the once. tidal hardly ever has dropouts. (My internet is fibre op and robust) It would be nice if Qobuz had a “connect” function like Tidal Connect, so you could use the Qobuz app instead of working inside a streamer app. I will continue with both for a period to see if Tidal makes non MQA high res available before I choose one to stick with..Version: 7.3.4

App crashesThree times the app has been deleted and reinstalled. Still does not work on my iPad. Customer service response? Nothing Works on my iPhone, time to find a better service.Version: 6.8.1

Great now HiRes works with ChromecastI love the music curation in Qobus. I always find their recommendations fit my music tastes. My Denon AV amp doesn’t support Qobus HiRes natively so I didn’t subscribe. However a more recent release of the app added Chromecast support so I can use that instead. Steaming works almost perfectly for HiRes with my Chromecast Ultra (I don’t know if standard Chromecast supports HiRes). The only small problem is that the app loses connection to the Chromecast and then starts to play the same music on iPhone speaker (but a bit out of sync). This is easy to fix by closing the app and then letting the Chromecast work on its own; but would be better if app and Chromecast stayed connected..Version: 5.10.0

GreatAwesome!!.Version: 7.7.0

ExcellentI have both Tidal and Qobuz. I buy far prefer the Qobuz music library, Curation, suggestions and playlists. I like the app layout as well. One minor thing is I wish they improved the slight lag when playing music on the app. Tidal app has the edge on that part. Nevertheless I still always use Qobuz 👍🏻.Version: 7.4.0

Excellent appI use the app on an almost daily basis and it works very well. There’s a small bug with the Apple Watch, but that’s going to be fixed. Full Apple CarPlay is coming too, I can’t wait for that. Hopefully Apple opening up what can be default apps will mean I can use Qobuz with Siri..Version: 5.6.3

DRM-Free High Resolution MusicSome streaming apps require a subscription to rent access to their music catalog. Other high res music sites give you one-time access to high res downloads. Qobuz has a subscription tier for those who want access to the entire catalog, but it also sells DRM-free music that you can access anywhere, any time — on your phone, iPad, computer, you name it. And you can re-download your music in case your files are misplaced. I have found Qobuz to be hands down the best place to legally purchase high resolution music. The price point is higher than non-high-res sites like the iTunes Music Store, but you’re paying for the added benefit of lossless/high res. Only drawback as of now is that there is no support (yet) for Dolby Atmos or other Spatial Audio technology, likely because those are proprietary formats and are therefore not DRM-free. (And Spatial Audio is not lossless or high res either. Yet.).Version: 7.8.0

Le sonLe son et la facilité d’application est merveilleuse ☺️.Version: 7.3.1

Much more informative than competitorsWhen it comes to high-res streaming it can be difficult to have a truly unique selling point, and claims that service x is truly better than service y usually all balances out ( and often in the case of missing tracks on albums is the result of the labyrinth nature of record companies dealings rather than the streaming service itself). Not sure an average persons hearing can really distinguish between hi-res and cd quality but I will take the audiophiles word on it. Where qobuz really stands out is the wealth of information about artists, albums and even individual tracks that is instantly available at a click... so what you might ask I could do that via Wikipedia.. well yes and that’s what I would have thought until I tried it... it’s amazing listening to an album and being able to put it into context immediately. It’s this (plus the ability to purchase and download material on the desktop version) ... all for well under £20 a month... that’s a couple of cds cost a month for access to a larger catalogue of music than you could listen to in a lifetime, that made me switch my service after a trial. Glad I did and the experience so far excellent..Version: 5.16.0

Still needs a lot of workThe sound quality is by far the most rich of all the streaming services. The only negative with Qobuz is their search function. It only loads some of the content at a time NOT all available like the other services. It is a REAL pain and makes the app frustrating and frankly unusable when you want to scroll through your playlist of 300 songs. They keep saying they are going to address this, but do not give a timeline. I hope it’s soon. Their app updates have been small and nothing exciting Really wish they would have the “radio” function the other services had..Version: 6.4.0

Great soundQobuz sounds great and choosing Chromecast is great as it works with so many systems. Biggest features I would like are automatic mixes and new music discovery playlist and album selection, option for auto play at the end of songs and ability to browse playlists and albums by genre. Still the best sounding service and the UI is reliable and looks good..Version: 5.21.0

Really good BUTIn last couple of weeks the app has logged me out it says for my security that was okay once but less than a week its done it again. For your information I do not want to keep logging in weekly Sound and continuity of playback very good.Version: 7.8.1

Pure QualityAlthough superior sound to other streaming platforms I still prefer the Spotify algorythm for compiling recommended lists based on my listening..Version: 7.3.2

Move over Apple MusicI really have considered myself pretty well-versed in the music department. I had no idea what I was missing I have been an Apple Music member for longer than I want to think about. I did not know what I was missing, quite literally so. I really didn’t. the sound quality blows my hair back! The app with music suggestionsAnd the interactive platform itself is so user-friendly and so smart. So I can’t say enough about it obviously 5+ stars..Version: 6.4.1

ReviewI’ve been a cd person since the mid 90’s, and it was hard for me to grasp the advent of listening to music from any other medium. But now that I’ve purchased a streamer a few weeks ago, and became an annual subscriber to Qobuz…wow! The sound quality is equal to or better than the original cd. The playlists that you guys create are mind blowing, as well the new hi-res updates are incredibly awesome. Outstanding, please keep up the high-quality work!.Version: 7.5.0

Amazing!!! The best!!It is just amazing. A monthly subscription for every single song or piece ever written! It has every album I’m looking for. I can listen to it offline- completely perfect!!! It even gives me recommendations. For example if I listen to Anne Sophie Mutter playing Mendelssohn- it’ll ask me if I want to listen to her album of Tchaikovsky!! Brilliant!!!!.Version: 5.13.0

Strong, easy to use content best served with a DAC of your choosingI have been a Qobuz client for several years and have enjoyed their presentation and ease of use especially for the Classical music category. While I do like music in all forms, Qobuz has managed to give both streaming and download collectors a library science that is coherent with appealing interviews along with hardware suggestions. Customer service has been accomplished at a quick rate from Qobuz with answers to my query within the day or sooner along with some suggestions from their editorial team for future great listening. I highly recommend Qobuz to any music enthusiast as there is something for everyone..Version: 4.0.19

GoodI’ve enjoyed using Qobuz since they started I’ve had issues with their apps on various platforms over the years but the apps seem to be settling down now. Sound quality is top notch and if not it’s probably an issue with the source out of their control. So please keep up the good work my favourite streaming service and where I buy music too..Version: 5.8.0

Annoyingly restartsI’ve noticed following recent updates that an album will restart playing when it’s finished. It was far better before and maybe there should be a menu option to disable automatic restarting.Version: 6.12.0

Nearly brilliantThis is the best streaming service that I have used. The range of classical music is excellent. The only problem is that it is sometimes difficult to locate specific works by specific performers..Version: 5.21.0

Great app, great quality, needs a few buttons!I’m a new Qobuz user and I’m excited about it! Quick question... let’s say I want to hit random on all the music that I like... is there a way to do that? First I tried downloading MP3s (as 44.1 files would take up space in a hurry) to my phone, but then I realized that I lost the option to stream those songs at CD quality. Then I tried favoriting albums, but if I’m trying to have all the tracks together in one place... it looks like I’d have to individually favorite each song, and even then there’s not a random button on the favorite songs list. Then I tried making a playlist of everything but it Looks like there’s a cap on how many songs are in a playlist. I believe the easiest solutions to be as follows: 1a. Make it so when someone favorites an album, all the tracks show up in the favorite tracks list b. Allow random play on favorite tracks Or, 2. Have a shuffle button in the favorite albums list that includes all songs from all albums. Or, 3. Have the ability to prefer CD quality when streaming even if I’ve downloaded MP3s of the same songs.... this would be a wonderful feature to have anyway! Or, 4. Have unlimited length playlists Thanks! Tom.Version: 5.13.0

Great app and available in Canada!Great app and great selection of high res music. I don’t understand why people are complaining that’s it’s not available in Canada? Use Apple Pay! Job done... Also I use Audirvana to play Qobuz content as it supports playback and full connectivity! I recommend them both as a complete package..Version: 5.8.0

Fan QobuzJe suis une fan de Qobuz et leur application est franchement très bien, le catalogue est super. Ils perdent 1 étoile sur les playlists..Version: 3.2.1

SuggestionsThank you for supplying such a wonderful selection of music. Two wishes, wish I could change the white background to something darker. And please make text on artists bolder or black as visually impaired have difficulty reading the grey text..Version: 5.16.0

Enjoy musicHaving spent time & money on audio nirvana I want easy access to a vast library of top quality music. Qobuz & Tidal are the main two. Wish they had more than CD quality for the majority & were a bit cheaper..Version: 7.6.0

Awesome audio qualityQobuz discovery and recommendations, their essential discography, has done more to broaden my musical listening range than anything else recently. As a sublime subscriber for over a year, I've seen the back catalogue expanded including music missing when I first joined. The amount of 24bit audio added though is outstanding and sounds amazing on my hifi. Are they better than the leading streaming music service? Depends on what you measure, the app usability and search isn't as good but the music curation is better and their main benefit is studio master streaming audio, from Daft Punk to the London Symphony Orchestra..Version: 4.0.20

Human, finallyI want to praise Qobuz to the skies. The human touch is significant and brings back for me the excitement and curiosity I first had when I began exploring classical music as a teenager. It’s amazing to me that it isn’t the 24-bit audio that makes Qobuz great. They don’t rely on just that to appeal to audiophiles, like everyone else does. They include liner notes (as NO ONE else does). They write about the music (e.g., the editorial panoramas). This turns the music into a cultural experience, people sharing with people what they love and why. And the clean interface of the app only enhances the human touch while being clutter-free. I’m currently in a trial subscription, but already I am sold. Thank you, Qobuz, for all you do above and beyond the 24-bit audio. Please keep doing it..Version: 5.6.0.1

Hi fi musicAm really enjoying the app and selection of music. The hi resolution is particularly good. Also like that you can buy and keep song albums etc, but would be good to be able to do this from the app rather than having to go to the download site.Version: 7.6.1

Hi res music to another levelFinally found the right streaming service after using most others , unfortunately my vinyl collection suffers the consequences cheers to Qobuz.Version: 6.6.0

For Classical music , this is outstandingTried most Classical streaming services. Quobuz is the best. Catalogue, information, app. All excellent. Works very well with Sonos. Unless you are running music on your Apple Watch which needs Apple Music subscription, I don’t see any completion. Quobuz also excellent on downloaded music..Version: 6.7.1

Qobuz music at its bestBeen using this app now for several years and it’s fantastic. High quality music when you want it at the touch of a button. Can stream on my hi-fi through my phone on my tiny system in my study. All sounds good whatever the source with qobuz.Version: 5.18.0

Good but can be betterFirstly, the search function could be better at finding individual tracks, not just artists Tracks released as single items are considered albums so appear under albums rather than tracks Duplication is not picked up so if you have a large playlist and forget what has been added it’s possible to add a track more than once If I choose a track from favourites returning to favourites displays a blank page and I need to select Artist tab then Track again to refresh and see all the tracks Overall though good value for high quality streaming at this time.Version: 5.12.0

Offline library issueQobuz is an excellent service. Not sure when this changed on iOS but, when trying to choose from my offline library, I need to select the album within a second or it is replaced the big list of everything from the band. I really would like to just focus on the albums I have downloaded to my phone sometimes..Version: 7.2.0
