✓ Works perfectlyThe app is written for macs on the iPhone. But once you buy it and go to help you get a pc web address to download the component app on windows that allows you to select a text conversation and export it to PDF and HTML and xls and attachments. It lays them out well and you get full information about the Texts including date and time and contents. This would probably not be sufficient for litigation forensic productions but may be. It certainly would be a great way to get the info for a review. It shows the contact name and not the phone number which might be needed in court..Version: 1.1

I have over 150 pages of texts with the ex-wife and my attorney has been very appreciative. Recently I had an issue with the time stamp on the exports. ✓ Nikki2017Guys listen, I’ve had a problem and have complained about EVERY SINGLE APP that claims to export messages into a pdf but to my surprise this actually 110% DID EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED AND PROMISED THE CONSUMERS IT WOULD DO. At first at had a problem getting it done however after reaching out to the publisher he not only FaceTime me but also text to walk me through the process in its entirety to ensure I was rendered the services in which I paid for. ✓ Works great!I can't say enough good things! If you are on PC and have difficulty following directions and installing a companion program on your PC contact support they will help. ✓ Good buyWas worried due to last review so clicked on the support link. This gave easy instructions and all links to software. U need to install software onto the pc too. So as that pc software is free i tried that first before i made any financial commitment. It installed fine but obviously only extracts texts with the app installed onto the phone or ipad. As the pc app worked fine i went ahead and brought the phone app. It all works great and much simpler to view then the other text apps look. It saves the files to ur pc in different formats too so u can view them in excel, pdf etc. Im using windows and up to date ios device. ✓ Best SMS APP TO GET OLD MESSAGESI could not believe how powerful this application was. It's pretty simple to use and it exports excel and PDF into 1 folder. I was able to see older messages even ones that were deleted. You can use this for many things to retrieve addresses etc. If you use txt messaging instead of email; has archive, this app is for you and your friends. Make sure you have your iTunes up to date. ✓ Export SMS AppI purchased this app yesterday. At first, I had a connectivity error, so I e-mailed the vendor for support. Just in a few minutes, he called me right away! That was so unexpected, you don't get an immediate response like that from other vendors/apps developers. So, what he did, he helped me all the way, from the beginning, from downloading up to the end, until everything is in placed. He was so patient, and nice. ✓ Developer Personally reached out and helped me since I had an issue (older computer).I see why some might say this is annoying, but honestly it works great for me. Totally worth the money. I downloaded this after seeing great and terrible reviews. For the price I figured it would be worth trying. It was confusing to get working at first, but customer support reached out quickly and was able to help me get this up and running. I didn’t know I had to backup the phone after downloading the app. It’s actually faster than other software I’ve used for this. You do not need to put in your Mac Id/username/password. Basically just download the app to your phone, backup phone to computer, download app on computer, then you’re good to go. It doesn’t export text in a very aesthetic way, but it gets the job done relatively quickly and doesn’t take up too much space. Attachments are stored in a separate folder but they’re time stamped so it’s actually pretty helpful. Overall for the money it’s a steal. I’d recommend trying this before spending $30+ on one of the more expensive ones. My Mac is from 2008 and is slow..Version: 1.1

✓ Wow!!I got a whim last night that it would be useful to have a backup of certain txt chains and found this app. It was late at night and the moment I bought the app I hit what I thought was a wall because it wanted me to do a back up to iTunes before doing anything and I use iCloud for backup. I emailed the developer and went to bed only to wake up this morning to a text from him he had sent immediately last night. I texted back early this morning saying I would try this later and he texted back immediately again. Later when I had time to work on it he was still readily available and walked me through exactly what I needed to make the app work properly on a PC. ✓ Worked well even on my very old PC!I am really glad to say that this app worked! It takes a little extra work to download the corresponding program on your computer, but it was worth it. Didn’t take very long to complete the whole process and it allows you to save your files in multiple file types, which is very handy. Also worth mentioning that it even allowed me to export and save a large number of voice messages - literally voice messages sent via text - I’m not talking about voice mail. Anyway, those saved as AMR files, so I’ll have to convert them to something else or find a way to play that file type, but hey...better than having to transcribe hundreds of voice messages! I needed my texts and these voice messages for legal proceedings, so this app is a huge help so far! Lastly, my computer really is OLD and the app and program still worked on it, so cheers to that! ✓ Great appUpon downloading the app, I initially had trouble downloading or exporting my texts to my computer. I sent an email and within a couple hours had a response. The guy helped me out first via email, and then through texts and then (originally skeptical) via team viewer on my computer. He worked with me until I finally was able to export all my texts via excel. He then showed me how to filter the messages by phone number. Come to find out, he was in India and it was 4 am his time while he was helping me with all of this. He woke up in the middle of the night to help resolve my situation at 4 am. Once I backed up my iPhone to my windows PC, I downloaded the export iMessages app and opened it. Browsed to %AppData%/Apple Computer/MobileSync/BackUp where my iPhone backups are stored by default and I was even able to filter messages by contact and it exported them to my local downloads folder in 4 different formats. Easy to read and easy for printing. My only qualm was that it prints most recent on the top rather than from old to new-so you have to read backwards to follow along with any conversation and timeline. ✓ At last I can save iMessages!!!I have tried several tedious, halfway functional procedures to save messages. None were satisfactory. I like to use text messages when working with contractors. Clear, no question that they got the message, and I have a record of the contact. Only drawback—until now—was that I couldn’t print or forward as an email, the whole thread with dates, times, recipients and text. Now I have the thread which runs for a month with proof of each message and reply (or no reply) as evidence, if needed. It’s in PDF or html or xls formats. The instructions were clear, concise, and complete, but didn’t work for me. Emailed tech support. Got a text message back within 24 hours. I had some difficulty in the beginning as you need to download the app to your pc, back up your phone using iTunes to the pc your using in order to access your files. I was using windows 10 and haven’t used my laptop in years, I must say I messaged the developer expressing my difficulties using the app and given an 11 hour time difference between us, the developer contacted me and was readily available to assist. ✓ Wow! An app that really works!This app was easy to use, I was happy I didn’t have to give up my Apple ID password. I downloaded the app from the App Store, then connected my iPhone to my MacBook Pro via cord. I backed it up the iPhone onto my computer, instead of iCloud. Next I had to download another package from the Internet onto the MacBook Pro . On that program I was able to find the text message thread I needed to download. I had previously selected to have all of my iTunes back ups/text phone back ups encrypted and I couldn’t remember the password for that encryption. ✓ Happy EndingI bought this app as a desperate measure to save a lengthy valuable text over several months time. I had a new iPhone, but very old Mac. I called their text support as I got only frustrated due to my old computer. The technical support person, Sowjanya, was better than anyone from Apple. He helped me to update the OS to where it is working and looking great, but alas, not enough memory to back up my phone. 3 weeks later, with a new Dell I texted him and he walked me through every step. It works, I'm relieved. He deserves a raise. I'm in my late 60s and he was very patient..Version: 1.1
✓ Works!I was a little hesitant about purchasing something that hadn't been updated in such a long time. When I saw that the website was still up, I figured I'd give it a shot. Years ago when I had "the other" OS, there were lots of options for backing up/archiving texts (i.e. Sms to Gmail). The options we have with iOS are pretty limited, but this app does the job! Install the app, download and install the software from the website, make an iTunes backup, & the app will create a pdf, html, and xls of your messages. It also backs up pictures from iMessage..Version: 1.1
✓ Excellent tech supportWhen I first downloaded this app it didn’t work for me (because of a weird glitch with my phone). I sent a message to the developer and he responded almost immediately. He texted, then FaceTimed to help walk me through what to try. When I explained the glitch with my phone he went back and within a few days created a whole new program to accommodate my phone. It worked great. He went above and beyond to make sure this app would work for me. It was easy to download and figure out. It definitely did what I needed it to do..Version: 1.1
