✓ Was doing good..But now whenever I try to open a project it kicks me back to home screen, nothing’s fixing it..Version: 1.8.4
✓ Fix this problem please.I’m not using an iPad Pro but I am using and iPad My problem is every time I play my animation it is very pixilated. When I draw it, it looks normal but pixilated when I play the animation. If I make the brush size to 1, and I play my animation, there will be gaps in the lines that I drew. ✓ UI and Rotoscoping/video import features need urgent workGood app keep up the good work but please address the following in your next update: Considering that many users of this app utilize a stylus it makes little sense why the UI buttons are so big and use up screen real estate that could be used for actual work. It’s counter intuitive on a Retina display to have large 300px x 300px buttons. PLEASE use small icons instead of full text on certain buttons and on some of your buttons with icons reduce the button size! We have retina displays after all. I have updated to the latest version which I’m running on an iPad Pro and I still can’t import video for rotoscoping without the app crashing . When it does not crash it takes several minutes compressing the footage. Please make this process more efficient. Please add a form for us your customers to suggest features or provide our input within the app..Version: 1.6.3

✓ Amazing, but could fix a few thingsI think Rough Animator is the best animating app on iPads. It’s easy, smooth, and it doesn’t crash. Some thing I wish were easier is placing an image in. I wish this was easier because when I’m adding in backgrounds, I draw from the same dimensions as the animation. Unfortunately rough animator doesn’t have a “center” option, so you always have to do it yourself. I’ll end up with bits of my background cut off of the color of the orginial background showing because I didn’t stretch it down enough. Another thing I find troublesome is adding audio. I’ve found a way to add audio, but it’s much harder than the way I’m about to explain. Adding in music from your iTunes is super frustrating because it doesn’t work. I click on the option to add music from my library, and the app crashes. Please fix this. One last thing is TRANSPARENCY. PLEASE... fix this. I’m having trouble editing my animations because I cannot export an animation with transparency. It’s SUPER frustrating because it’s such an easy thing to fix. ✓ Drawing Experience Needs ImprovingI am finding it really hard to draw anything with clean results. The lines are wobbly, even with the smoothing set to max. The smoothing setting corrects your lines in the strangest ways. Drawing a neat shape such as a circle is almost impossible! For a £5 paid app, it’s not the experience I expected on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Maybe I’ve been spoilt by the performance of Procreate?! This is the only issue I have with the app. Although this issue makes the app virtually useless for me to create anything I’d be satisfied with, I’m not going to ask for a refund or uninstall it just yet. The rest of the features and UI works perfectly well. I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed for an improvement in the near future..Version: 1.8.4

✓ A serious drawing problem with my iPad 7I use the Apple Pencil (1st generation) to draw and animate. I used it on my iPad 7 and it’s slow and laggy. I connected the Apple Pencil to an older iPad from my family (which is the iPad 6) and it works perfect! 60 fps, no lags, no slowness. 🫤 My theory: The Apple Pencil is not the problem, I always charge it 100% and I have also cleaned it and it has not broken. I don’t think the iPad 7 needs a new Apple Pencil. MAYBE the reason it doesn’t work perfectly is because of the a little bit enlarged display which is 10.2 I guess, but it’s not big difference than the iPad 6 which is a little bit smaller. 🤷🏻♂️ I Don’t Know It’s not the storage because I store from 15 GB to 32, which is the limit. 🤔 I believe the smart and magic keyboard compatibility of the iPad 7 can make laggy things but I’m not sure. I want to get in contact with Apple and explain my problem with footage so they can have some ideas. But I think the iPad 7 is not that compatible to draw in your app, except my fingers but it’s uncomfortable. Thank you for reading, hope this can identify other people’s problem.Version: 3.09

✓ Was amazing, but..Recently I’ve been having the issue where no matter what I do, the audio on my animation won’t play at all. This is rather annoying, as from what I can tell this is one of the only animating softwares on the AppStore that let you animate alongside audio. ✓ I have reason for thisEvery thing work well untill IOS 15.1. After IOS 15.1 came out, every time i try to import video, the app will 100% crash ( kick me to the home screen). So I tried to find a solution in Google. I tried everything but nothing worked, so I decided to delete the app > restart my iPad > redownload the app BOOM nothing fixed + all my logo animation projects gone in 1 second. ✓ Wonderful!Works just like an animation program should! My only complaints are with the GUI. There are a couple of niceties I'd like to see. The ability to touch-hold or double-tap a frame and get a copy/cut/paste menu. The ability to slide or touch-hold to change values more quickly. A small popup or temporarily change the example in the brush button to show the size, style, etc. of the brush while changing the size or opacity. Those would greatly speed up my workflow! Update: Unfortunately, after beginning my project, a four-minute music video, I must amend my review and rating. The audio wave view just shows a vague representation of the sound. It does not show transients, masking it very difficult to find beats and to set cues. Also, the wave display cuts out at three minutes, despite still playing audio. Finally, the audio begins playing for no reason all the time, especially on opening the project. There's no way to stop it except to tap play and then stop. Except on doing that, the active layer disappears from view... I really enjoy animating with this program, but the only way I can get my cues is to write them down from another program and keep a list. 😭 <- Yes, that's me crying, hoping you have an update waiting in the wings!.Version: 1.5.1

✓ Average Animation SoftwareIt’s so difficult to find decent animation software for the iPad which is surprising. This app is probably better than most. It has a decent timeline of different frames (though in this they’re confusingly called “drawings”) and there is a decent amount of customisation to the tools. I don’t really like the design of the app but that’s really neither here nor there. What I’d love to see is the ability to move frames around which I think would make the whole app much more user friendly. In all probably worth giving a go if like me you’re struggling to find an iPad animation app that suits your needs!.Version: 1.7.3

✓ AudioQuite unhappy with the audio, it's not that there are any bugs or anything, it's just that I can't record anything and add it into my animation. The only way to really do that is using iMovie, and I don't know how to import audio files using iCloud Drive either, and the music in my music library isn't the music I want. ✓ Pretty decentGood for $4, I’m having some issues though, my brush imports won’t import how I want them and I cannot import music. Two things that I really hoped would work but other than that the app has been good. The timeline isn’t confusing, the controls are pretty easy for a beginner, and you can import photos AND videos (I think that’s a pretty neat thing to do) should you buy this? If you’re a beginner, absolutely! If you’re more experienced then I’d stick to computer animation software, but if you want to animate almost professional looking animations on the go then this would be your best bet. ✓ Good app for beginners...???It’s a pretty good app if you’re just starting animation and it has the basic features you need. I use this app a lot and it’s very easy to use. But there are a few things I wish could be added, like the ability to add masks to layers. And maybe some short cuts? Like for duplicating a drawing you have to tap a few buttons and it would be easier if a short cut could be created as well? I know I already said a lot but it would be nice to have an effect that makes the lines smoother when you draw, kind of like the streamline feature in Procreate, if you sort of know what I mean. ✓ Is it just me?This app is incredible! It’s easy and very fun to use. I use this app on a lot of my school projects, but I do have a problem that is VERY frustrating. I don’t know if it is because there is a frame limit, but at a certain point I can no longer play my animation inside the app. It’s is not that big of deal, but still annoying and not the only problem. I am currently doing an animation project for school. Of course I was not able to watch my animation in the app, but I could still work on it. That was until earlier today when I went back. I clicked on my animation project and... my screen blacked out and I was kicked out of the app. I have figured out a way to pice the animation together with an editing app, but this is still VERY inconvenient. ✓ Loved it until it stopped workingI don’t know what happened, the onion skin stopped working all of a sudden so it’s become useless as an animation app, plus anytime I add an extra layer (no matter how big or small my canvas is) the previous layer drops dramatically in quality. I tried exporting the animations to see if maybe the quality lowered only in the app to make sure everything runs smoothly while animating but that was not the case, even once exported the quality is horrible. The zoom in zoom out function has also been glitching out lately but as you can tell that’s the least of my problems with this app. Not sure what caused this cause just 2 weeks ago the app was running fine and I loved it. It’s sad that I spent money on an app that won’t work, especially since this is the best animating app I’ve found so far.
