✓ Best of them, but useless after 6pm, when it goes to tomorrowI like that it doesn't have any of the cruft of the other weather apps. Clean UI. However, it thinks that “today” is over at 6pm. The widget says “today” but it displays tomorrow’s weather after 6pm. The switchover time could be an option, but isn't. It also doesn't show the current temperature in an easy to see way. I also have Weatherline installed just so I can get the current temperature all day, but I shouldn't have to..Version: 3.9.5
✓ Oh dearI don't care how good it is. I bought this 5 minutes ago, went to settings, only to find that my "account" expires in 1 year. Don't remember seeing that piece of information before I bought it. Buyer beware!! Developer needs to declare this up front. ✓ So far so goodI like the app and the complications it gives me. The precipitation graph is not that clear to me. I like seeing percents, but it uses a three tier scale that I don’t find easily interpreted. Perhaps when I get more used to it that will be more helpful. ✓ Lots of detail, nicely presented.I am removing one star every time I am prompted to review this app! I have reviewed it! It is annoying! In the UK we are weather obsessed. This caters for our obsession. It would have been 5 starts but every time I press the App, despite the fact I have written a review, I am asked to review the product. Not a fan of nagging! ✓ Widgets stopped workingFor some reason, the widgets have stopped working. After a spinning ‘wait indicator’, it very faintly displays a ‘Request timed out’ message on a black widget window. This is still on iOS 13.6.1, so no changes to the phone or the app, seems like the weather info source isn’t working anymore. Also, the support request link on the App Store app page goes to a non-functioning page that then directs back to the app in the App Store, not very helpful. I like the Weather Nerd widgets, though I do find the forecasts not terribly accurate for my area, though I’ve also yet to find a weather forecast that is very accurate..Version: 3.9.62

✓ Looks good but radar/satellite view doesn't workApp looks great but for the UK I doubt dat accuracy as its predictions weren't that good when I was in Fareham last week. I was watching the app regularly as it was new but in reality the weather was far better than predicted. Apple's native weather app seemed more accurate because it generalises the data instead of producing great graphs and metrics like this one. ✓ Looks great, missing rain radar, accuracy issuesThis app looks fantastic and is extremely well designed. Forecast is not as accurate as the apps that use BOM data. Rain radar and satellite views always blank (just map shown) for all Australian locations, making it useless for those of us living in storm prone and flash flooding prone areas. ✓ Lock Screen widgets stopped workingI’ve been using the app (happily) for years. Far and above my favorite weather app. However, I was only using it for the lock screen widgets and now those have stopped working about 3 weeks ago (even before the iOS 14 update). They just keep timing out. I’m paying for a subscription so it’s a shame that this essential item doesn’t work the way it used to. Please fix! I tried looking for a support email but couldn’t find any. I hope the developers of the app know this is an issue. I’d love to update my review to 5 stars once this issue is fixed..Version: 3.9.62
✓ Not that usefulThere is no weather radar in Australia, and the graphs don’t show the scale for wind speed, nor the wind direction, so I don’t think this app should be described as a “Nerd” at all. Sure some of the data is available in text form, but there are much better weather apps out there that are more relevant to Australia, e.g. Willy Weather..Version: 2.1
✓ Totally wrong forecastThis the worst weather app I have used. It is 100% wrong 100% of the time. I am in Vancouver and it always give completely incorrect forecasts. For example it says it is raining and chance of rain all day when it it is perfectly clear with not a cloud in the sky. It says it is 28c when it is 14c. It says it it clear when it it is pouring rain. Total waste. YR is spot in with its forecasts..Version: 3.9.1
✓ Promises much but...I have to say, it looks great and impressively quotes my location not just to the nearest town, but right down to the house number in my village. That makes me expect pin point accuracy in the predictions, which it promises. However, it's no better than any other app. In fact in claiming more, it becomes worse. Right now it says it's moderately raining, getting slightly worse over the next hour. In fact it's light high cloud and sunny. So should I walk the dog? ✓ Support lackingEnjoyed the app for a year then renewal for subscription happened. I've paid for it but the app isn't recognising the subscription and there is no "restore purchase" button. There is no support link or email address to send to to get help - not in the app or in this review section. Poor form..Version: 2.1
✓ Has everything going for it but..........Weather Radar needs updating. Try looking at something like Wundergrounds Storm app. With all the details and info this app gives and then I have to look at a clunky radar that was good 5 years ago! 35 min span in 5 min increments. Not good enough to fit with the awesomeness of the rest of the app. Needs smoother scroll. 5min increments is good but do it over an hour or two. And have a future option of at least an hour out. The ability to scrub the radar to whatever point/time frame is also key. I'm cancelling my subscription until I see an update. I mean really, if your serious about your app, you shouldn't go more than a year without an update..Version: 2.1
✓ Updated Review againUpdated Review: Regularly has connection issues (error 502). This has been happening since I purchased it in February 2017. No good for UK - Radar not available for Europe! Weather is fairly inaccurate too. It is extremely likely their UK weather sources are VERY POOR, likely do t have any at all and make predictions based on American interpreted data. ✓ Radar brokenThis is a 5-star app that deserves only 3 stars now because: a) the radar quit working a LONG time ago (minus one star) and I’m pretty sure support for Weather Nerd has stopped completely (crickets from any help/support inquiries, thus next minus star). It’s otherwise a GREAT app, but the old saying “you get what you pay for” can’t even apply here, because I paid for a weather app with radar. That, doesn’t have radar. ✓ Not impressedI’m looking for an app to replace weather underground but I guess this isn’t it. It has my location correct on the map but does not list the town accurately. The current temp appears to be off by about seven or eight degrees. And there does not appear to be any radar. SO I guess I’m still looking for a replacement. ✓ Good app, close to being my one and only weather appMaybe it's just me, but with all the information Weather Nerd provides, I just wish they had used a different font for all the information. The thin modern font (especially at night with the black background) is very difficult to see. Because of this, I find myself returning to other weather apps. The app is worth the money for the information Weather Nerd provides, but even with my good near vision I find that the font choice could be much better..Version: 2.1
✓ Version 3.9.1...My peeve with this is that none of the widgets tell you what the current temp is for your location. You are forced to fire up the full app and go to the “now” screen.. I want a widget that will allow a quick glance and I’m done but this doesn’t do that. I will probably not renew when it comes around unless something changes with the widgets. I reached out via the apps built in support thing and asked a question and got no reply yet - that was several weeks ago.. oh well...Version: 3.9.1
✓ NO WAY TO UNSUBSCRIBEI love the app and interface, but the radar/storm mapping has been broken for months. My subscription has been renewing automatically for as long as I was aware subscriptions were available. I see no way to connect with the developer except in a review, here. Website appears to be broken? When I checked the ‘manage your subscription” site, it appears to be broken. No way to change subscription. Dismayed to see all the negative comments here and lack of responsiveness. If the app is abandoned the developer shouldn’t be accepting payments. My next step is to report this to Apple. ✓ Not worth itIt's hard to understand the weather at a glance in the notification centre and most of the time it won't even load. It doesn't even show the previous forecast. And it often feels a tad off... Yahoo Weather looks better, uses local images for backgrounds, is easier to understand, loads every time, seems more accurate and is free!.Version: 1.7
✓ WN is OK - beware it's subscription basedMy biggest complaint about this app is that it's a sneaky subscription app. I had not idea when I bought it that after a year I would have to hand over more money. I think they changed the terms because I never remember seeing that. So the cost of the app only gets you one year! Aside from that, info is ok, I also have Dark Sky and they use the exact same wx info source, so I ended up just using that. You can even get their info for free now on a web based version, just as good as app (I'm not affiliated with the app, just a fan)..Version: 2.1

✓ Could be a Good weather app! ...Has great, detailed notification area widgets. But the fonts are too big and fat, which makes it harder to see all info visually all at once at a glance. Instead you have to focus a lot on the details individually to catch it. On the other hand it could be better for people with poor eye sight to have the fonts as big and fat as it is. The clould graph is almost useless. It would be better if it was executed better (maybe similar to the precipitation or wind graphics). Very promising app. Wish it wasn’t this expensive until it is fully refined. Value for money not as high as I had hoped for. UPDATE: The widgets are no longer working. That is very disappointing. ✓ Beautiful graphics but ….Used Dark Sky for a while and found it very good. Decided on this app after a recommendation from a friend. I was very disappointed to find it had an annual subscription which was not made clear before i bought it. Also it seems to be missing a crucial feature for me, the ability to display the weather where you are, without having to select the city manually. ✓ So glitchy which is sad because it’s otherwise amazing!My app just stops working from time to time. I click it to open, and it just disappears. Flashes back to nothing. ✓ Great app but subscription! Free alternativesVery nicely designed app, great features and works pretty well. I was disappointed to discover after purchasing that the purchase price only covers one year subscription. If that's the model the developer wishes to use then fine, they should go about it another way. Provide the app for free for 30 days then make the subscription an in-app purchase. That way, we can try the app and then decide if we wish to subscribe or not. ✓ Display problemsThe app is good but has weird display issues - at least they seem odd to me: 1. What’s the irregular white horizontal band running across the top of the display and extending about 1/3rd of way into the final temperature zone (18-20deg C)? 2. Similarly, what’s the purple band running vertically down the right hand edge of the screen - full length? It gets thicker the nearer the bottom of the screen and extends from the right into the display. You can see this in the screenshots of the app in the App Store. iPhone 7, iOS 11.4.1. ✓ What is the best app but now seems to be abandonedI wrote this review with great sadness. This was the absolute best weather app out there. You could see temperature, precipitation, and wind speed all graphically all on one screen in the clearest possible way. It boggles my mind how no one else is doing this. Unfortunately, several other features of the apps seem to no longer be working. I can’t get a Doppler radar image to populate. I tried clicking app support, but there is no website. ✓ Decent app, but widgets not loading and no way to email supportI would have just sent this note to a support line and not given a review … but I couldn’t find one in the app so you get a three star review. I subscribed to the app because it appeared the only option with a weekly widget for the Home Screen (others just give a daily widget) but none of the Weather Nerd widgets will load. ✓ Great layout, need to update widgets and accuracyI used to love this app because of how the daily and weekly forecasts are laid out. They are easy to scan and compare so you can tell as the days get warmer/colder and the amount of precipitation. It’s the best UI that I’ve found for that. However, I find the app is not as accurate as other forecasts and the widgets need to be updated for iOS 14. *Update: it’s been 10 months since this app has been updated.
