✓ Crashes on 'Start Game'I can't even give this a fair rating as the problem still hasn't been fixed for iOS 9 so that was £15 wasted until SE finally listen and fix the issue EDIT: Turning on Flight mode before selecting New Game seems to temporarily get you into the game. ✓ Literally the bet mobile game I’ve ever playedI didn’t review it when I first got it a couple years ago because I thought there would be better ones, but there weren’t. This is the best game I’ve ever played on mobile. The only game that comes close is KOTOR and that’s not even really a mobile game. It’s a port of a console game. ✓ UnbeleivableFOR PEOPLE WHO ARE SCEPTICAL ABOUT THE PRICE: To be honest, I honestly was as well. However, I took a risk, and bought the game anyway, and I have only just finished the story line 35 HOURS IN TO PLAYING IT. Not only that, the story, and wealth of content is easily worth that of the price and more! Competes easily with console RPGs and if you like to invest time and energy into something that is fairly challenging but invests emotion and character development through the story, then this is definitely for you. If you have played a Chaos rings game before and even just liked it TRY THIS GAME. I promise you won't be disappointed. ✓ A *real* gameFirst of all, this has worked fine on iOS10 on my iPhone 6 I bought this game ages ago, didn't really get into it, and put it down for a few months. Picked it back up and couldn't stop playing. It's very much a JPRG, all the elements at the start seem like nonsense but they are wound together in a high quality (but very JPRG-ish) story. There are quite a few mechanics going on, I highly suggest going through the tutorials, or you might realise you've spent days doing something less than optimal. There's stuff that seems like micro-transactions but it's not (there are none). Just a few mechanics that encourage you to play a little bit each day. It comes with a pure battle mode that's handy to mix things up (with calendar based events) and is also a good mode to play when on public transport with one hand. At about the 50 hour mark I thought I finished the game, and was a bit dissapointed with it's too be continued type ending. Only later realised I just hit an intermission and there was a final chapter to go. Now I have finished the game, but trying to 100% it and I never 100% anything. It's not perfect, the mecanics are pretty good but not revolutionary, and if I was to sit down on a console and play this I might get a bit bored. Still, for a phone game that's a real game, well worth the price of admission..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Good gamePros: a solid single player game on ios, good rpg that doesnt have any iap, whether they are the expensive kind or the points for sale cheap kind, that you buy points and use them in game. That in itself is rare to find on the ios app store. Cons: leary and elroux have small breasts, need to give them an upgrade. Con 2: main character and his outfit look ripped from kh series, his arms also need some muscle, not a lot, but some so he doesnt look same model as the girls. Con 3: needs a way to get more ohnz besides doing quests over and over, like a npc or store that you can exchange mh for ohnz, or give us more than 1 ohnz as reward from quests. Con 4: some of the items, cards skill ability descriptions need a spellchecker and proofreader. Con 5: not sure if the achievements are working on ios, when i hit achievements in options screen, it takes me to a screen that say achievements unavailable and says rate it and facebook likes unavailable. Please fix. I finally downloaded cr 3 and am enjoying it a lot, please bring back the earlier games in the series, ill buy them. lol Also found a bug that is similar to the earlier reported magma ocean/infared camera bug that jellyaintjamming reported in an earlier review. If you go to winter wonderland blizzard area and encounter a snow dragon and use analzye on it it crashes to desktop or the main screen of your ios device. I say it may be similar, because they both are triggered by infared camera or analyze, which is basically the same game effect. Also sometimes during the hunts in winter wonderland it also crashes randomly, can't figure out the cause yet. Hope you guys can fix these bugs and crashes soon..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Superb game.I bought the first Chaos Rings but didn't get the second in time before it was pulled from the app store. needless to say i'm a big supporter of the series so when the forth installment came out, i waited two years to buy it. People who think this game is expensive are right however, it is also Four times bigger than the first one and four times the characters.. The gameplay is also more refined from the first one, with more summoners that can also be leveled up. How this game differentiates from the first is the it is in full 3-D and is more immersive/ interactive! Overall, The $20 price-tag is expensive, but considering that the game is more immersive with full3D, has extensive characters/environments, is 75+ hours long where most other mobile games are only 4-5 hours long and is specifically made for mobile more than justifies the cost! ✓ Worth Every CentAs a massive PC gamer, I don't really spend any more than $5 on an iOS title. Don't get me wrong. I love playing games on iOS, but any more than that and I can usually find a better game on Steam. The Chaos Rings games are the only games I have really spent any money on, but even so NZD 24.99 (at the time of this review) was a big leap for me. I don't have any problem spending that amount on the App Store, but I can't help but compare the game to a similar priced game on the PC (in which case the PC game usually wins). I am happy to say that this game is console/PC quality. Not on the graphics side (although I consider the graphics amazing for an iOS game), but in terms of gameplay I can't get enough. Not only that, it's a console quality game I can take wherever I go! I love exploring, crafting genes and finding loot. I am also enjoying the traditional JRPG combat with its own unique twists. I just wish it had cloud save across all devices. It's a big game and I can't switch between my iPhone and iPad. However, I will be playing this for a long time. I hope more people support premium titles like this, so companies like Square Enix keep making them and not focus on the F2P stuff that has flooded everything. I was so impressed that I recently purchased Transistor without any hesitation as well. It's really opening the eyes of this hardcore PC gamer and showing that core games can be found and enjoyed on the iOS..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Please bring back the previous Chaos Rings titles :)I feel that the Chaos Rings series is a bit underrated, and should be right up there with the other "non Final Fantasy" titles/series like Dragon Quest, the Mana series, etc. I've played through the very first Chaos Rings, and I immediately fell in love with it. And when I first saw the trailers for Chaos Rings III, I was ecstatic. However, life happens every now and then, and I unfortunately wasn't able to play through the other 2 titles (Chaos Rings Omega and Chaos Rings II) -- though I did purchase them. Now that I finally have time, I am unable to run the previous Chaos Rings titles, as they have been pulled from the App Store. ✓ Amazing!Chaos Rings III is somehow better than the last three in terms of battles. Introducing an entirely new element system, with more than three. Bolt, light, dark, fire, etc. It does make it a bit more difficult to find the right one in each battle, but that simple fact actually makes this system much better, because you can't just give each character one of the three elements, and breeze through every battle. The downside to the battles, is that regular attacks, the ones that don't use mana, do virtually nothing, usually 1 damage, against nine out of ten enemies. Of course, that's based off the fact that you still have the three first characters first weapons, which you will for the first couple hours of playing this game. Another plus however, is that you can have more than two characters in each battle! Which for this series is surprisingly forward-thinking. This does sacrifice the: duo attacks that you could use in the first three, but again, I think this actually adds to the enjoyment of this game, because rather than one over-powered attack, you get 3-4 attacks that will 'damage' an enemy. *spoilers* My hugest problem right now, is a curious crash that occurs immediately during your second fight with the Mocktopus. The game also runs a little slowly on iphone 4, but that's not entirely unexpected, seeing as how detailed and, for the most part, unique the environments are. Aside from those two, this game is amazing, and well-worth that price-tag. That said, I would just wait a while for Square to fix that crash, and/or wait for a reduction in price..Version: 1.0.0

✓ FantasticPlayed the whole game to 100% 2 times. Been playing again and again for a year and a half. Get ohz coins by doing quests or 30 at a time by reaching 100 floor of Magma Ocean. This storyline is excellent, better than Dragon Quest 3, better than any Zelda game I have ever played. Better get it now and play while you can. Square Enix likes to take away old chaos rings games. Some of the content is missing from the Apple Store. In the Google Play Store version of the game, the monsters in the arena go up to level 130 or something. But in my version, the monster levels stop at 58. Also, in the GPS version, you have the chance to discover and beat Adam. But, the quest doesn’t show up in the Apple version. I love the references to the earlier games and the hidden little Easter eggs you find as you talk to npcs throughout the game. ✓ My favorite iPhone gameIt has its flaws. You’ll notice almost immediately that they originally designed it (poorly) to be a gacha game and later realized it didn’t really work that way. ✓ Beautiful gameI love the design and colors and story line. Well done. My only wish, especially as I purchased the game so I own my copy, is that I have no way to earn ohnz coins faster. Items using ohnz coins are expensive but rewards for quests are cheap...only one per quest. Why can't I purchase more coin or maybe the quest levels should pay more depending on their level. Other than that this is the best game I have found in a long time. Hope you are creating more. Oh and I found this game at number three in the series and can't find the others at the App Store...is there a reason why they are no longer available?.Version: 1.1.1

✓ Surpassed Mocktopus Barrier XDIf you pause the game the frame before the game crashes, just after the "*gurgle* *gurgle*" dialogue appears and wait for around 10 seconds, the game will resume to the boss battle normally. This game took me 4 days straight to complete and I'm still playing. Chaos rings III has a great, long, mind-blowing story!
