WiFi Priority for Positive User Reviews

Does exactly what it saysYes, the app name is a little misleading, but this app does exactly what it says in its description. The update that just came out fixed a bug that was preventing new from installing the profiles it creates. I use several wifi networks with equipment at work that are airgapped with no access to the internet. I don't use them all day every day, and it's a real pain to either set them up every time I need them or constantly be digging around in settings to get off of them. This does exactly what I need - well worth the investment..Version: 1.5

Now works againThis is a super app which works exactly as described. Current version fixes bug introduced by previous version..Version: 1.5

Works perfectlyHas a very user friendly installation interface. Just let the app guide you through the process, and you'll be good to go..Version: 1.2

Worked for meWhile it does not allow you to "prioritize" your networks. It does allow you to easily set networks to NOT connect automatically, which worked good enough for my problem..Version: 1.2

WorksWhile the title could be more prescriptive of what it actually does, it does exactly what I wanted it to do, prevents my devices from auto connecting to a specific WiFi but allows you to connect it mannually by simply pushing connect. For me this is a life saver. I live in a remote area that has very poor DSL, (900K) when it works. I also have a new 4G LTE verizon tower 300 yards away (30 meg download speeds). I use a netgear cell router as a back up to the DSL as I frequently work at home with big files. The problem is the ATT DSL is so bad from a latency stand point all computers IPADS, Iphoes etc frequent switch from ATT DSl to the Verizon connection automaticly. Our Grand Kids spend a lot of time with us (streaming netflix which I have my account set to lowest resolution). After buring up 10 gig on a weekend, I needed away to prevent the auto connection to the verizon router. This program works perfectly for that..Version: 1.0

Works as advertised.Allowed me to deprioritize the 2.4 radio & auto-connect to the 5 in my router for a radical speed boost. With no repeated settings finagling. (If Apple wasn't addicted to hyper-simplifying things that are not simple, this work-around app would be unnecessary.) If you don't understand what an app is designed to do, don't 1-star it because it didn't do what you erroneously expected..Version: 1.2

Misleading name but good useful appThis app does what its description says. It allows you to remove wifi networks from auto connect but have your iPhone remember password etc. very useful. I have had no problems. This version seems bug free. What it doesn't do is allow you to prioritise one network over another, either you auto connect or you don't..Version: 1.3

Sooooo convenient! This app has saved a lot of time delving into the wifi settings. I used to have to manually switch the wifi connection multiple times a day due to the way out wifi is configured. Lifesaver!.Version: 1.4

It works!Thank you. App is not needed any more with iOS 11.Version: 1.5

Does what it says on the tin, though may not be what you expectHave been using this for a few days, and so far it has worked flawlessly. The scenario I had was that I have access to various WiFi networks but do not want my devices auto connecting as I want to change other settings when connected to said networks (e.g. Enabling VPN). With this app, you can effectively stop ios from autoconnecting 'by network' - thus I auto connect to any networks that I trust, but selectively connect to the other known networks without the need to enter passwords (and then 'forget' afterwards) each time. This is exactly what I wanted. However, and I believe this is a feature of iOS, not a fault of the app, one side effect is that when my iPad 'sleeps', it drops the network connection - and as 'autoconnect' is disabled for that network - I have to manually connect (just by selecting from the list of networks within iOS settings, no need to enter password etc.) - which is a bit of a pain. So, in summary - yes this app does exactly what it says (no for me does it well) - it just stops 'autoconnect' for specific networks that you choose..Version: 1.2

Does what I need it toI have a wifi extender as my home wifi doesn't provide a strong enough signal up stairs. My phone constantly connects to the main SSID downstairs when I'm upstairs and not the ext. SSID which is the extender. I wanted it to stay on the extender when I'm upstairs and not connect to the weaker main SSID downstairs. This definitely has done exactly that and is keeping me connected to the extended network SSID..Version: 1.3

Great App - Does What it Says on the Tin!I have two WiFi networks, one of which I want to use most of the time, but my devices were selecting them randomly and I didn't want to 'forget' the other. In the past I got over this by installing a profile using the iPhone configuration utility, but since Apple took the deplorable decision to cease Windows support for it, I couldn't use it. This app replaced it beautifully, and let me install a profile that turned auto-join off for one network, but still lets me use it without typing in the network key. Quick and easy to use - excellent!.Version: 1.0

Clever, Simple and effectiveGreat solution to a nuisance problem. Creates a network profile that allows you to select whether you want to auto join. Once set up running the app is not required..Version: 1.3

This is exactly what I neededAt my work we have three wifi networks. I like to stay on our guest wifi to listen to pandora on my phone but keep my Mac on the internal network. The problem is if you have your phone and Mac on the same iCloud account you can never "Forget This Network" permanently on your phone. iCloud happily re syncs the networks I just forgot! This keeps that from happening.Version: 1.1

Ppl = dumbThis app works. It will ONLY prevent your phone from clinging to "one bar" when there is a network with "full bars" available. For example, an apartment lobby has wifi that you occasionally use but you want your phone to connect your OWN wifi automatically once you are through the lobby and in your own apartment (rather than cling to that first signal all the way to your door). If you used "forget this network", you would have to enter the password every time you wanted to use the lobby wifi. If you turn on "ask to join networks" then it will annoy you all day asking you to connect to every unknown signal it acquires while you're out; known networks are still joined without asking and so the lobby wifi would be joined as it was first acquired while you passed through. You would still have to manually tell your phone to change networks once in your apartment. This app prevents that; now when I get home my phone ignores the lobby and connects to my personal when in range. On the off chance I need to use the lobby then I can switch without entering a password, GET IT???.Version: 1.2

De-prioritizes backup WiFi networksWorked like a charm after realizing how many hoops I needed to jump through just to download the iPhone Configuration Utility to do the same thing & 100x easier!.Version: 1.0

Works as Promised...Just does what it says it will do. It prevents you from joining an available network that cannot be "un-auto joined"..Version: 1.5

Delivers what it promisesThis app serves a very specific purpose, and all the negative reviews I’ve seen so far stem from the fact that the users who left them completely missed the app’s point. Additionally, contrary to what has been stated here, what it promises and effectively delivers CANNOT be accomplished via the regular graphic user interface, but only with a custom configuration profile. This app streamlines the creation of such profile for you. Please do the App Store community a big favor and refrain from writing misleading reviews when you have no more than a dim understanding of the issue being dealt with in the first place..Version: 1.2

Allows me to prioritize my wifi networksMacOS allows the user to determine connection priority of known wifi networks so I was surprised to find that iOS does not. If you have multiple wireless networks and want to control (override) which network your phone will default to than this app is a simple & viable work around..Version: 1.1

Honest review from an actual techThis app doesn't necessarily "prioritize" your networks, a gripe amongst other reviewers at this time. It does however work well to accomplish being connected to the wrong network when used with the wifi toggle. I often connect to 'optimimwifi' or 'cablewifi' here in NY. When I pull up to my home, I used to be auto connected to these Cablevision-provided free hotspots. When entering my home, I would stay connected. I would have to manually enter network settings and join MY network. Annoying! With this, you can join the hotspot/network of choice at will, manually (since auto join is disabled). Then if you're connected to said network, just toggle your wifi off and back on. You'll auto connect to your home/preferred network without auto joining the wrong one. Works as stated without having to manually drill into settings->wifi->scroll to desired network-> select network. Just toggle your wifi, much easier! 4 stars not 5 because I would like to see an auto scan/disconnect feature built in so as to disconnect from a low "priority" network and connect to a higher "priority" network. Perhaps have this app call into iOS native wifi search API?.Version: 1.1

Works Great!I have been searching for months for a solution to the problem of connecting automatically to the last network on a list four on our wireless router without having to delete the passwords on the other three. This app does exactly that! A little clumsy but it works! Remember to enter the name of each network exactly as it appears from the WiFi. I learned the hard way that the name is case sensitive! Once I figured out how to use the app, it is well worth a buck!.Version: 1.2

Finally, some control over XfinityXfinity is everywhere and sometimes its great to be able to be able to get onto the internet when Im traveling. Xfinity is a pain when it insists on being my primary connection over my home Wifi connection or when there is faster connection available. This app finally fixes this problem and lets me choose when I want to use Xfinity..Version: 1.0

Provides a much needed IOS function.Does one thing extremely we'll!!!.Version: 1.5

Excellent appMy phone was automatically connecting to my car's wifi whenever I was near my car (even in my house) so I had to turn the wifi connection off but that meant I had to enter the password each time I wanted to use my car's app on my phone to set the air con etc. This app has fixed this problem and now I don't need to type the password to use the car's app. Brilliant!!.Version: 1.1

Exactly What I WantedMy 2.4 Ghz network would always trump my 5 Ghz network, requiring a manual re-selection to remain on the faster network. This App auto-selects my network (5 Ghz) and offers availability of my slower network if I want it. In other words, no more moving through menu's to make this change. It simply automatically establishes my network choice. That's what it's designed to do and nothing else. 5 stars guys!.Version: 1.2

Awesome, simple and does the jobI had a problem where my phone would keep connecting to my car’s wifi in preference to home wifi, also when on car wifi this would cause dropouts during handsfree calls. Added car wifi using the app and now it only connects when I want it to and dropouts seem to be fixed. :).Version: 1.0

Works great!I bought this to force my preferred network to have priority and it works great! I can still manually select my second choice and that's fine. GOOD STUFF!.Version: 1.1

Does what it saysIt does what I need, keeps the wifi I normally don't want from grabbing my iPad but keeps it available if I do want to use it. As easy to use as can reasonably be expected, given that it has to patch around a poor design choice by Apple in iOS (vs MacOS) wifi..Version: 1.3

ExcellentDoes exactly what I was needing. I am grateful that Florian Schimanke has met this need. Although I have been a user of the App Store since its inception, I have written only a few reviews. I am writing this one because the low rating of this app it totally undeserved. I understand the frustration when things do not work the way users think and hope they will. I have found it best to see to my own understanding before criticizing..Version: 1.2

Works as advertised!Would love it if I could sync profile configurations over iCloud, to make it easier to install profiles on multiple devices..Version: 1.0

Works perfectly…I have installed it on 5 iOS devices without a single problem. Does exactly what it is supposed to..Version: 1.2

Title is misleading but it does what it describesSince iOS does not offer the ability to prioritize wifi networks the only way to prevent auto connect to non preferred networks in your house etc was to use the iPhone config tool in your Mac to install wifi profiles. This tool eliminates the need to do so. Really nice job at that and worth the $1.Version: 1.0

This is the way apps should workThere are a number of negative reviews here, but those seem to have been written by people who do not understand the purpose and function of this app. My situation was this: I have home Wi-Fi and recently added an outdoor access point to get the Wi-Fi extended to my new shelter house, which is more than 200 feet from the house. That access point required the creation of a new Wi-Fi network - different name and different password than the one in the house. The problem this created was that my iPhone would randomly switch between the two networks, but I didn’t want it to. It sometimes switches to the outdoor network, but when I am in the back of the house, that signal is very weak compared to the indoor Wi-Fi. Yet my phone stayed with the weaker signal. So I had to keep checking which network I was on, and frequently had to switch networks to get the best signal. This app resolved the problem. My phone will stay connected to the indoor network and I no longer have to keep checking for which network I am on while in the house. When I go to the shelter house, it’s a simple matter of switching to the outdoor Wi-Fi network. This app has a very specific function, which it performs very well. Very easy to set it up, and it works like a charm. 5 stars without a doubt..Version: 1.5
